Liverpool Pool & Spa Pool Super Center in other cities:
Top notch customer service. Staff is always attentive and willing to help. Ive never seen an employee with their phone out not paying attention to the customers; great to see in this day and age. Would highly recommend to anyone needing pool service, chemicals or equipment.
Elisa is one of the best customer service individuals in all of Onondaga County. Her attention to detail, enthusiasm and knowledge are greatlly appreciated. If you treat her (and the rest of the staff) with common decency your returns will be great. Three stars because their build/install crew need to work on their client communications, although in the end they do a truly decent job.
We are so happy with our pool. We only shopped at Liverpool Pool and Spa because of their stellar reputation. Right from the beginning, George took the time to give us all of our options and made sure that we were purchasing exactly what we wanted, within our budget. From there, Shane and Angie were in constant communication and made sure we understood each step in the process and what to expect with the next step. Angie was beyond patient each time we called with questions and concerns. All of the guys that were here working throughout the project were considerate and professional. Thank you!
After 20 years of a great relationship with this company ,today was the last time to see me. As always they open my pool and as always a perfect job. They left s bill I went in and paid it,at this time i asked for my military discount, the you g man went In back and came back to say its ok i paid the amount he asked for. Well today i get a call from a employee of same to say they made a mistake and want the 30.00 back.i was not happy but went immediately to pay. MARTY CAME OUT to try to explain however the harm was done. I really hope that lousy thirty bucks was worth all the past years and the future monies that they would have made on me for they will never see me again. Spend it well.
Liverpool Pool and Spa installed our pool roughly 20 yrs. ago -- since then we have recently had a new liner and pump.........excellent service and knowledge....as there is a learning curve when you first put a pool in! The pool cartridge system to sanitize/clarify the water we are using is low chlorine which is less irritating on the skin as well.....ask about it at the counter! Thanks Liverpool folks for a job well done!
Sold me 75$ worth of pool cleaning products with instructions to clean my pool which were followed and they did not work. After a few weeks of trying to let the products filter through and work I went to cannon pools and was sold 25$ worth of product, my pool was clean.
DEAD IN THE WATER: our Duo Clear salt chlorination system from LPS. What a huge waste of money! Our less than five year old $1800 salt system does not work. Cost to replace the electronic cartridge - which has a MISLEADING lifetime warranty (i.e., a prorated 5 year warranty) is $500. LPS Tech advised that two other electronic components subject to failure cost about $130 each.Yesterday the LPS tech told me that the salt systems $500 electronic cartridge typically fails after about five years, and he does not know of any Duo Clear electronic cartridges lasting over seven years. I wish LPS would have told me that when they were selling me the salt system (To be fair, when we bought our salt system, the technology was still relatively new, so I am not saying LPS should have known and told its customers this information - at that time). With that kind of overhead and unreliability, I would not have bought the Duo Clear Salt System. Faced with re-investing in the system, I cut my losses. The $1,800 initial cost of salt system, divided by four seasons of a working system = $450/year. Ouch! But Thats Not All! Even without having to replace expensive components, the Salt System sold to me by LPS is also more expensive to operate than a chlorine pool: The cost of salt for my pool is well over $100/year (at LPSs $10/ 40lb bag) PLUS annual replacement of the Salt Systems $125 mineral cartridge PLUS higher levels of costly stabilizer chemicals are required for any salt system. Those figures ($450 + $100 + $125 + at least $25 in extra stabilizer expense) indicate that my now defunct salt systems annual cost was about $700 (thats exclusive of other service and supply costs that are incurred any pool). And that $700 average operating cost over the past 4 years does not include the higher electricity costs (to make chlorine, the salt system requires that you run your pools pump at higher RPM levels and keep it running all the time, so your electricity bills are more with a salt system).By comparison, I just bought a seasons supply of large chlorine tablets for less than $72 and - for less than $12 - five gallons of shock (I am not sure of what LPS charges for theses items). Total projected chlorine/shock cost for a five month season of operating a pool - LESS THAN $200, plus savings on electricity. So instead of blowing $500 to extend the life of the Duo Clear Salt System for maybe another 4 or 5 seasons, I estimate I will save about $500 annually (compared to prior seasons) by abandoning the Duo Clear Salt System! Even if the only thing to go wrong is the failure of the $500 component every five years ($500/5 years= $100/year), going forward my annual savings by not repairing the salt system is $350 ($100 average replacement cost of cartridge + $100 in salt + $125 mineral cartridge + at least $25 in extra stabilizer expense).I wish I had researched more before installing the salt system. For more info, search an article titled Hidden Cost of Having a Salt Chlorination System. I cant post a URL to that article in this review; but it is worth looking for and reading.Shopping around I found their product and service expenses to be on the high end; but then I thought I was getting top quality service. Turned out I wasnt. For example, that $500 Salt system cartridge requires a periodic acid bath (a simple 15-30 minute process, cheap supplies). LPS does not provide that acid bath service as part of their annual open and closing process (for what they charge, they should!). Unfortunately during our new owner orientation when the pool was first constructed, LPSs representatives did not mention a word about this and did not otherwise highlight the need for this maintenance step. Not that it would have mattered much, the part is only good for five seasons anyway! On the positive side, LPS built a very nice pool for us five years ago. Prospective customers should know that some of the high end components dont live up to the sales pitch.
I bought a Hotsprings Jettsetter; It is Fantastic! Service was excellent and everyone I spoke with was a professional. The Hotsprings hot tub was better than I thought it would be, It helps my back and allows me to excercise much more because of the quick recovery with the spa. I will never be with out a Hotsprings spa for the rest of my hopefully Long future life!! I have had it about 14 month now, love it in the summer as well, I keep it about 87 degrees and it is like a Pool. It wasnt cheap but worth it>>> Thank you, GR

2022-05-31Really like and appreciate this business. Were newer pool owners and they have been so polite, considerate, and patient as we figure this out. Highly recommend them. We used another pool business for 1 thing last year and the difference was unreal. Were sticking with LPS from now on.

2022-06-23Update 06/23/22: Greg in the above ground department went above and beyond to make things right. He’s come back out himself, fixed and even adjusted things he didn’t need to do. Most of our issues came from a subcontractor but Greg made it right.05/20/22 - Paid a deposit on a pool in August of 2021 to ensure we would be installed in early May 2022. Pool was paid in full February 2022. Did not hear a word from them, it took multiple calls and emails to get them to schedule the install. Finally the instal is scheduled for Friday 05/20/22. Ground guys show up no issue, get everything flattened out. Installers show up shortly after and begin building the pool which was fine, but then they only do half of it and tell you to call them when the water gets to a certain point… water reaches their mark on Sunday 05/22/22 call the installers no answer no voicemail so I sent a text. Received a response to my question about the pump but then absolutely nothing when I ask what day the plan on returning. Here it is 05/26/22 still have not heard back from the installers and no idea when and if they’re coming back. Weather has been perfect so that is not the issue. My suggestions is that if you buy a pool here do NOT pay for the full thing until the entire job is done. No incentive for them to care bc they’ve already received their $.

2022-05-13I called and asked how much a service call was to diagnose my hot tub. I was told $75. I agreed and the tech came out and found a broken heater. Then told me that it’s $75 on top of $99/hour that starts as soon as you get there. So $174 for the first hour and $99 thereafter. Call it what you will but I don’t appreciate being lied to over the phone and then charged after.

2022-06-25PLEASE READ the whole review.... we had alot of issues in the beginning with this pool place during install. . it was a nightmare and i was very emotional, contractors were sent first . . HOWEVER, when more things arose, the lead installer Greg, did EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING he could to fix it. He had a great attitude, he was sincere, honest, and He came out personally and basically redid the entire thing from plumbing to give a much better look, smoothing over bottom with a fine tooth comb lol, relining and explaining every step, any issues we may have in future due to every yard having its own unique quirks that overtime can affect a pool aswell as suggestions on what we can do to avoid future issues,, and best part is HE INCLUDED ME, THE WIFE, in each and every conversation, not just looking for the husband. once he had my approval at walk through knowing how much more it meant to me than my husband, which never happened first time around at all... he started the refill and all is WELL. My advice: DONT just speak to sales, speak with the actual installers too! Liverpool pool n spa ones... they are the ones with correct answers and remedies for any issues arising. keep open communication with the company and not just contractors if you happen to get some. i am very content with our pool now. One bad egg doesnt mean the whole dozen is bad.

2021-05-23Zach was a huge help, and the only reason that I was able to open my pool today instead of waiting 3+ days for parts. He was resourceful, and willing to take a step back to assess the whole situation while also looking at the finer details to figure out I actually needed different parts than what I thought I needed, especially since two other pool places I visited earlier were almost racing to say that they dont have the part and send me on my way.

2020-08-07Best pool company I have ever worked with. There service department is awesome. I called and talked to Marty on Monday and I requested a Wednesday and they put me in there schedule in 2 days. There servive techs Rob and his partner even saw me in the store right after they were at our house and looked at my water testing and told them what I needed and even helped me carry everything to my car. They made my day with there help and the way they treated me. Thank you to all that work there and a special thank you to Marty.

2017-08-15I cant speak to quality of products but the service was fantastic! I went in looking to replace an older model ladder (thanks to my careless sons antics in the neighbors pool) and everyone was very helpful. The woman (who I believe was a manager) was very knowledgeable - she quickly found a solution and explained how to properly adapt a current product to fit the older model we needed to replace. Everyone was very friendly and attentive - I will definitely go back! Now, if they only had such great solutions for everything else my boys break!
