Holy smokes! I just stumbled upon this unassuming restaurant on a morning drive along the lake, and MAN! What a treat! I mean, youd be hard pressed to find a tastier meal around! Im not sure Im saying this right, but the corned beef hash omelett was ON FLEEK! Which I think means good. Like reeeally good.Shiver me timbers, what a find!
Ive been eating here at least once a month for the last two years. Truly amazing people and fantastic food. The everything omelette is my fav.
The owner is there almost all the time.The owner and staff will do what ever to make your stay the best. The food is great!
Food was good, French fries excellent. Restaurant floor and bathroom needed cleaned (We were there at noon).
Was very disappointed had 9 people and gave us a new waitress. Orders messed up, cold food, very disappointed, use to like it here. Wont come again.
Always a great meal. Owner Laurie makes it personal and the cute little helper in kitchen..aka Allison, makes it a joy!!
Small friendly local restaurant. We stop here every time we are passing through to Russell PA. Good food and a cozy place to take a break off t he highway.
Dont waste your money. Food came out in waves, last items special ordered was not hot or done (crispy home fries...more like mush potatoes...pun intended).
Everyone is always friendly and if you are known they greet you as you come in the door. Special orders are not a problem. They make you feel like you are coming home.

2018-09-25Perfect burger!!! The fries are freshly cut and cooked, what a treat.Polite, courteous and attentive servers. The proprietor is very personable and welcoming. I will come here again.

2017-07-23Our waitress didnt say hi or introduce herself- just came over and took our order. never checked in on us after a completely different waitress gave us our food. we had 3 different waitresses- one gave us menus and drinks, one took our order, one brought out our food. none of them checked on us until one heard me said that nobody even bothered to check on us and she wasnt even one of the 3 who took care of us.... the food was good, VERY disappointed in the service. it was my first and last time there. being a waitress myself- customer service and at least acting like you care is very important.

2018-07-21This is a local favorite, but I dont find anything special about it. It is inexpensive, so I guess its what you pay for. As a disclaimer, I have only had breakfast here and never lunch. There are certainly better places for breakfast in the area.

2019-08-24Not called the Locals Chatterbox any more , its now the Homestead cafe. Its really good and the staff was friendly. Nice place to go and have a family breakfast or lunch. Just wish they were open a bit longer

2018-03-14Scrumptious! If you are looking for a home cooked breakfast this is the place to go. Down to earth, home town atmosphere with delicious food! The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The prices are also great.
