Great bowls but for those who care about sugar consumption, be aware they use sweetened acai. I find this disappointing. There are so many unsweetened frozen acai packs available. In my opinion, adding sugar or other sweeteners to the acai base should be a choice, not a default. Im told the pitaya base is unsweetened.Other than that, its a nice place to have in the hood.
I went there to try a new thing because it was very different and unique concept. My friend and I order dragon fruit base with pineapple as our bowl (it cost extra to have freshly cut pineapple as bowl). The staffs is so nice and friendly. We also happen to met the owners, they are so nice and asked question how do we heard from this place. The owner was so nice to us and told us if we wanted extra granola on side and it was no extra charge. Since the place is small, so it can get crowed when it get busy. Its took awhile to get out fruits bowl but it was so worth the waiting because the fruit was so delicious.
A good quick stop for a nice sweet treat! The açaí and pitaya bowls are great. You can make your own or get their signature ones. I enjoyed the OG. They have a variety of types if you like more fruity, more chocolate/vanilla. And you can also make any bowl a smoothie. It’s a small space with no bathroom just make an order and keep moving along! I was very thankful and enjoyed my bowl.
Lately, I’ve been REALLY into açaí and pitaya bowls. Like, 2-3 times a week for lunch into em. Loco Coco has been my favorite location so far! Their bowls are always picture perfect, a decent size, and most importantly: delicious. The vibe of the shop itself is modern and cute, but seating is limited so I wouldn’t recommend meeting a bunch of friends here or anything. I’ve gotten the Original Loco and Purple Rain bowls, and they’re both fantastic.
Pretty good bowl. Pictured is the Emerald City bowl, purchased with MealPal. Bowls are normally $11Its very small- there are two seats, but there can be so many people it would be uncomfortable to eat inside. They also have music playing a bit loud for my tastes, and the blender can be very loud since its such a small shop.I went around 12:30, and there were a lot of people. There were 5 employees there, but it looked like only one or two were actually preparing the bowls
Best Smoothie Bowls in the city!! Amazing consistency and crazyyyy flavors. Its the best bowl Ive had in my life and I hope they open more locations! I need this place to be everywhere!! My bowl contained Activated charcoal which is super good for skins health and toxin removal for body!!! So happy this place is aware of health!!! 1000% Recommend
The acai bowl itself is very yummy and refreshing but this particular location was a disaster. Employees were cleaning the glass with crumbs flying on customers, orders are made out of order, toppings incorrectly put in wrong bowls and the wait was awful. They did a good job preparing the bowl but waiting for it be prepared was brutal
This place had such cute photos and I was excited to come. But I found that the staff was a bit disorganized, they kept asking what we ordered over and over and asked us to pay twice. Also, there are only two seats at a small bar. Not the best place to go for a sit down acai bowl. On the upside, the fruit was nice and fresh and tasted good!
Best smoothie bowlsss in NYC!!! If you love smoothies or smoothie bowls, you should definitely visit Loco Coco. As a very picky person for smoothie bowls, Loco Coco has the best ones in NYC. Their bowls are the perfect (thick) consistency and you can taste the high quality ingredients. I ordered the Reverse Warrior, OG, and Purple Rain, and I fell in love... I came in 4 times this week already ;)Plus, amazing vibes and very nice employees.Hope that they open more locations...
Bowls are super delicious. the OG Pitaya is one of my faves if you want a treat! I also like the nut butter loco acai bowl. The bowls are filling but they seem to lack in strawberries in terms of topping which I hate because that’s my favourite fruit. Even if you add it on, they add like 3 little slices of strawberry. Aside from that, it’s really good bowls being served here. Super thick! The granola that comes on top is yummy.
Loved everything about this place. We came at 6:30 pm on Saturday after an more then an hour walk that we took and theyve already closed (Ive already asked Google to correct the weekends hour because they close at 6pm) but a very nice lady let us get in after I explained that the Google hours were probably wrong but we really want to buy something. So check on extremely nice and welcoming service! All the fruits were fresh, the smoothies and bowl we took tasted amazing. Yes it takes some time to make things, but I always prefer freshly made food so I dont mind to wait for it.Thank you Loco Coco, we would definitely come back!
Loco Coco has become my favorite acai spot to go to! Their bowls are SO fresh with a variety of bases and fruits to choose from! The customer service is also super friendly and the bowls come out really quick! The portion sizes are AMAZING! This will definitely fill you up for the day!
I just ordered one through Doordash and Im in love! I got the Flex Blend and I dont think Ive ever seen an acai bowl that has a layer of acai and a layer of oatmeal before. And the top layer had nut butter, seeds, more nuts and fresh fruit. I like how it is not overly sweet and comes in three different sizes. Since I was having it for a snack, I got the smallest one which was a perfect portion. I cant wait to try other things on their menu!
I hadnt noticed this place was in the neighborhood until recently, and readily became pretty infatuated with it. The options feel endless, and the ingredients are great (I usually go with something like mango, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, granola and chia seeds). The ordering process is very, eh, modernized. You order at a tablet which sort of precludes the necessity of speaking with the staff - and somewhat makes me feel like Im placing an order for my soylent green tablets) but the staff have all been very friendly in my experience should you choose to be annoying like me and talk to them anyway.
Anyways, the Palm Blend bowl was good! Fresh fruit, good flavors, not too sweet, and loved the texture with coconut chips and chia seeds. I would come back. They seem to have resolved the issue I talked about in my first review by requiring all orders to be done by your phone. That means as long as the website accepts your order, you can order. Which is great - if I had ordered from my phone the first time, I definitely would have received the order instead of being turned away. It prevents this type of situation from happening.
This is one of the best acai bowls Ive ever had and it makes me so happy that almost everything at Loco Coco is 100% plant-based.Everything is so fresh, and its satiLoco Cocoying even on a cold Loco Coco day.Delicious bowl! Very tasty! They had outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly.
I wanted to try this place way back in March, but they had closed early that day. I was walking in the neighborhood and saw that they were open! Decided to try it and so happy I did!I didnt catch the girl who helped us, but she was super sweet and funny! The fruit and acai/pitaya were super fresh and delicious, and Im super appreciative of them maintaining the social distancing rules by having only one customer in the store while others wait right outside!Cant wait to come again!
As an açaí enthusiast, Loco Coco is my FAVORITE place to get açaí bowls of all time. I always build my own bowl and change things up because you cant go wrong with any of their bases or toppings! Unlimited toppings is such a game changer. So glad I found this place! PS- their bowls are so photogenic
Açaí bowl was okay. They have mostly the fixed combinations and options to choose from. The one I got had way too much granola to taste anything else.Biggest turn off was the service, the store had such loud music playing that I couldn’t hear what the server was saying, it must have been at least 80 decibels. Couldn’t even read through the options and had to be pressured into ordering one. Eventually took 15 minutes for my order to be ready. Not worth the trip.
I love love love this place. I had one of the freshest açaí bowls here. It had enough banana, strawberries, and blueberries in it, plus granola and chocolates, and all the ingredients worked together perfectly in a flavor symphony. There was nice chia pudding, fresh açaí, and some other delicious cold and sweet stuff I cant name in mine. I will definitely come back!
They definitely doesnt hold back with quality ingredients, any topping of your choice, and bases thankfully not overly cut by banana. The granola tastes Fresh and house made. As you move down the line you can choose what you want by just eyeing the goods, which helped a lot. The pitaya was a bit too sweet but worked well with the almond butter.
This bag with two fruit purée inside took 1 hour, literally. They had forgotten about my orders, and I reminded them they said all is good but it was still not ready after 20 mins. Then they acknowledged they messed up my tickets and started blaming each other. I waited for an hour for two frozen fruit purée and received no apology. I find this borderline criminal.
They offer bowls and smooothies. I got an acai bowl, chia pudding with strawberries, blueberries and bananas. I also got a bunch of different toppings. I really liked the almond butter they used, so creamy. The toppings are unlimited which is pretty cool, lots to choose from as well.
This is seriously THE BEST acai bowl Ive ever had in my LIFE. I always get their bay blend, which has an amazing base that consists of fresh acai, pitaya, coconut beach, and chia pudding which come slightly frozen that makes it tastes like youre eating a super yummy ice cream but a healthy version. I especially love the coconut beach and I think this is the only place I know that has option in their acai and its life changing.
Ive tried the acai, coconut beach, pitaya, and tropical spirulina bases - all are so yummy. Options for toppings include fresh fruit, granola, nut butters, seeds, oats, etc. Everything is super high-quality and pretty much every ingredient is vegan! The fruit is always perfectly ripe and Im amazed at how sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious these acai bowls are without dairy or added sweeteners.
I ordered the pitaya bowl and I will admit, this smoothie bowl is the best ive ever eaten. But, the workers were not nice, the store is tiny, it took forever to make, and the list just keeps going on. The bowl was $14, and was incredibly overpriced when you look at the size. 100% do not recommend.
Loco Coco is totally a super cool place with super cool menu items and staff. Their options are simple, delicious, phenomenal, unique, easy to make, vibrant, high frequency, and just really tasty. Would 10 out of 10 recommend. Will come back to try more things on the menu. Literally every menu item people ordered in front or after us looked super good. Its a little pricey but worth it. Veganism is the new cool! So many toppings you can add to bowls! And the fact that you can infuse your bowl or smoothie with CBD is also awesome. All the benefits without the hassle. 5 stars.
Horrible customer service. The guy was extremely egotistical and rude. The menu is very confusing because the way they structure their açaí bowls is different from literally every other smoothie bowl place in the city. When I expressed my confusion, I was met with irritable impatience, condescending remarks, and very forceful suggestions. I just wanted to customize my own bowl and he was very impatient and obnoxious to say the least, almost explicitly saying that I was stupid for not listening to him. I left feeling horribly disrespected. Maybe this was just one obnoxious worker, but hiring someone like this is bad business. The food is also way overpriced and nowhere near the best I’ve had. Save yourself the trouble and go someplace else. I recommend Playa Bowls.
Came here since I saw pics on IG. Surprised that it is by the train station which is so convenient! Place is small but has a table for seating and a bench outside. It’s really cute. Staff is friendly, there was a line and the cashier handed out menus so we can look while we wait. Gave suggestions. Fast and friendly service. I got my order within maybe 3 minutes and that’s fast compared to other places where I’m waiting 10 minutes for a watery bowl. I live about 10 minutes away from the place and my bowl was still in good condition. Fruits were fresh and I thought it was a pretty decent price for the size. Will come back for sure, love ya already Loco Coco 🖤
I recently bought two OG açaí bowls. I found plastic in my bowl. Maybe the employee forgot to take the plastic packaging off. I usually never have an issue with my orders but this time I’ve had a horrible experience. I won’t be coming back. Hopefully they train their staff correctly on how to make the right açaí bowls.
Very slow service, had to wait for my açaí bowl for 30 minutes! I used to give them the benefit of the doubt but they were super slow every single time (stopped going there). They also take other people’s order before mine. Besides, if I’m paying $12 for a bowl, I should be getting fresh bananas and not black spoiled ones. Very disappointed..
Not a place for people with tree muts allergies. We ordered Purple rain and it was really good. We substituted coconut flakes with oatmeal but did not realize that there are almonds in the oatmeal. The cashier didnt mention that fact to us. My daughter only has mild allergy against almond so we just pick almonds out for her but it turned her off completely. There was only one person working there so the wait was really long, at least 20 minutes. This location is in Time Out Market.
Brandon, an employee, is very rude, and that is an understatement. I have never experienced this level of disrespect from a worker in my entire life. Menu is confusing. My açaí was underblended and I paid $3 for chocolate almond butter only to get a light drizzle. Also they don’t have Nutella. Go to playa bowls.
Really great smoothies and bowls, but Ive literally been standing here for 20 minutes waiting for my order and watching only 1 of the 4 employees here actually making anything. The line is pretty long too --- maybe its just me but Im feeling like only 1 blender just isnt sufficient during lunchtime rush... Oh and they Just informed me that my order was ready and sitting on the counter for the last 5 minutes...spectacular.
Awful service. Expensive. Final product is not worth the amount paid. The Purple Rain Parfait took more than 40 minutes to get ready. The attendant was very sullen, throwing things from side to side and cursing. To get some equipment she stepped on the counter where she cut the fruit, used dirty utensils from the sink to help crush the acai. The place was dirty. It was a horrible experience. Would not recommend this place.
Ive come here a few times to try their acai bowls. Their fruit bowls are really good. Theyre really sweet, I mean you should really just eat your fruits and not puree them tbh but this was a sweet treat. The wait is long and you will probably be waiting outside. There is only 1 bench outside to sit on and its always packed. Inside there are 2 stools which are crowded with people around them because this shop is like shoe box sized. Doesnt take away from the experience though. Would return, would recommend. Anything with peanut butter btw.
Try to go to this place several times a week for their delicious bowls and smoothies. Used to have beef and chicken for every meal , until I found Loco Coco. They have delicious options for every mood (favorite is Pitaya Bowl with almond butter). Honestly , everything Ive tried is to die for, and will keep coming back for more.
Acai bowls are delicious, but wait is ridiculously long. Always takes AT LEAST 20 mins after ordering. Last time waited over 25 mins only to find out that they had not even started with my bowl. Only after I asked them to cancel it and refund me, they rushed my order. Also, their music is always ridiculously loud that cashier cant even hear customers. Makes it even more unbearable to wait.
Ordered 2 acai bowl today. The place messed up my order and sent it out with the wrong delivery guy. An hour later I called them up, they admit the mistake but didnt make up for us. The estimated delivery time was 1:03. The lady in the phone told me that at 1:23 the deliceru will be late a LUTTLE BIT BUT YOU ARE STILL FINE. so instead of 1:03 I,ll get it 1:45 and its still fibne. Well no, its not fine!!!
I went here once before and I loved it. Then I went back again, ordered something and was told that it would be exactly $11.97 and I was fine with that because I knew that I had $13 left on a debit card. However, the woman at the counter swipe my card and told me it was declined and when I checked my email it said that they were actually trying to charge me more than $14 even though it said $11.97 on the tablet device. I was charged a decline fee and I could not get my order. I checked my account multiple times before I even entered the store so that this wouldnt happen.
Great bowls, but get them to go. The rap music is so loud and obnoxious and vulgar. Not a pleasant environment at all and so totally not in line with the decor, food offerings and concept. I almost had to wait outside while they were preparing my food so I wouldn’t get a splitting headache first thing in the morning from the music.
I dont think I have super high expectations but ugh.I was in the Upper East Side and was looking for an Acai Bowl shop when I stumbled on Loco Coco. The menu and pictures online seemed super inviting so of course I b lined over to get my acai on.First of all, its a tiny little store with not much space to move in. Its cutely decorated and lit up, they have a bar with two chairs so if youre looking to sit down itll probably be occupied with people who arent even eating or someone with a connection to management. Thats what happened when I ordered, I thought Id be able to sit but they were taken up with non customers. So I ordered the Enter The Dragon Fruit, a fresh squeezed orange juice and another drink (forgot the name - they didnt have the ingredients so we asked for a refund). The pitaya bowl and orange juice took about 15 minutes to make when we were literally the only customers who had ordered. Thats more time than an order at a fast food restaurant. Also I think their prices are a little steep. The Pitaya bowl was delicious and Id definitely recommend it if it didnt take so long to make. The OJ was good but definitely not worth $10 for a small.Overall, I probably wont be coming back any time soon.
I went to this place because I love Açaí bowls and I wasn’t impressed. I basically got a swirly line of liquidity almond butter which of course is extra it was good but why be so stingy and the açaí bowl was so small for the price. I paid $14 I highly recommend Guy and Gallard for açaí bowls I paid $9 for a much bigger bowl and loads of almond butter. I wouldn’t mind paying $14 if it was loaded with stuff and the bowl was bigger.
Once in while i feel the need to write a review. Loco Coco is one of those places that just gets it right. The food ! The Ambiance ! The Service ! I rarely take the time to mention a place on google..... If you want a healthy place to eat thats clean , the food really hits the spot.....Try the the Purple Rain Bowl ....
Ordered on seamless and put specific instructions for my girlfriend that has celiac. They did not follow instructions causing my girlfriend to get sick. When I called to let them know, I found out no manager is present and their tablets aren’t working. They are having delivery drivers show up and tell them what they ordered. This carelessness caused for my girlfriend to have an allergic reaction on her birthday weekend. MANAGEMENT MUST ALWAYS BE PRESENT!! Do not eat here if you have an allergy. This is not something their staff cares about.
Beautiful place, (although very small) , horrible service ! The music was so loud I was ready to grab my order and leave ASAP! It literally felt like I waited an hour for my food , the employees looked like they hated there job and although the açaí bowl I got was good the service I recieved was horrible , really sad!
I completely, do not have any respect for this place and the three individuals who attended me on Memorial Day. Being a veteran and coming in for what I do way better; which is an Açai bowl, I decided to look at this place. 1) these two dark skin low lifes behind the counter were so aggressive & hostile I didn’t know whether to stand them down or give them ethics lessons 2) they had horrible Rap/Hip Hop playing-a total disrespect to the city where it was born 3) the light skin lady with blonde hair says she’s the boss of the store and told me to get out after I simply was trying to resolute the conflict the other two characters had towards me. 4) apparently they think they are selling drugs Bc dreads smelled like straight boofoofoo of Marijuana, and the short kid AND his pal greeted me like if they were my homies or something 5) the song continued to talk about “rape, mass shootings, etc” after this encounter I had to contact the better business bureau Bc whoah. Where are the total disapproval no stars google?
Waited literally 25 minutes for them to make a bowl for me and the other three customers before me. 2/5 people were actually working and one of them rolled their eyes when the manager asked him to get off their phone. They got my order wrong and then gave me an attitude when I said so. Not good enough and too expensive to wait 25 minutes.
Awful service. Employees seem to care more about whats going to be the next song on their Spotify playlist than actually completing orders. One of the cashiers was literally just standing when there was nobody on line rather than helping the other employees to get orders done (there were 4 customers waiting along with me )
The service is BEYOND slow. There was no line to order, but there were literally 8 people in front of me just waiting for their orders. I have no idea why the staff is so slow. There were 5 people working which you’d think would be more than enough in the tiny space. They seriously need to get it together.
The people that work here are so rude - they constantly turn off the delivery service app’s 30-40mins before the store even closes. I have no idea why anyone even works there. I was asked to remove my rating once but no way. It’s so rude the way the staff treat people who are offering money to buy food, wow say that out loud, I’m choosing to give you my money.

2022-06-29I would visit there twice if it wasnt for the rude and slow service. We ordered a acai cup and a smoothie and we waited for 20 minutes. We asked for the wifi and they didnt tell us even though there is wifi for guests. But the food was AMAZING, tasty and filling. Its a great place for breakfast.

2022-02-12I ordered the pitaya bowl. It wasnt bad, but I felt that it needed more granola and more toppings; the proportions were off, and it ended up tasting a little bland. For $15, it was for sure overpriced and I feel you can find better quality for a lower price.

2022-06-18I had high hopes for this place since I’m and avid health and fitness guy but ended up with a pretty terrible experience.Around 1:30pm, we ordered the “Green Smoothie” while it was not busy at all. One other couple ordered before us. There was 5 staff. We waited about 15 minutes and noticed no one was making our drink. The workers didn’t seem to pay attention to the customers or notice things were slow. One of them was drinking coffee in the middle of her shift and a few of them were just chatting. I asked the worker if our drink was being made. She said “yes, it’s being made now by someone, thank you for being patient.” It was odd because a few minutes after she said that she went back and started to make it.While it was being made, the guy who took our order asked us what drink we ordered which showed there seemed to be some confusion. By the end of it seemed like they forgot to make our order and no one apologized or took ownership of the mistake. We finally got our smoothie and it tasted way too earthy. It tasted like way too much spinach was put in. I make smoothies almost every other day and this tasted awful. We had to throw it out. This experience was not worth the wait and the $12+ spent.I read other reviews and it sounds like this place being slow happens often.I would give the place a second chance regardless of our first experience. Maybe someone was new? Maybe someone wasn’t trained well?Anyways, go at your own risk but I hope your experience is better. If you are the owner or manager reading this please take this as positive criticism. Starting a business is extremely hard and I want you to succeed.Read all the negative reviews and see what you can do better to improve and disregard all the nonsense.Take care.

2021-11-11I have been a weekly customer for months and I can honestly say Loco Coco has the best bowls and smoothies in the area. Highly recommend the Nut Butter and Loco Bowl as well as the Booster Bowl. They have a great assortment of superfood additions as well. Shoutout specifically to KAI who works here… excellent service, super thoughtful and great to connect with. Rest of the team is awesome and make this spot that much better!

2022-05-03Açaí bowls are decent. However, they’re not worth the price (13.95 + tax for the purple rain bowl with an additional charge for a super light drizzle of peanut or almond butter). Employees also take forever making an order when there’s barely any people in store and aren’t aware of discounts students are entitled to. You’re better off going elsewhere.

2022-07-06Terrible experience. I made a custom açaí bowl as directed by the cashier said it would be best with what I wanted on it. it ended up being $23. After I had ordered and was looking at the menu, there was one bowl that was almost identical to the one I customized with just one difference in the drizzle that I could have easily substituted which was only 14.95. You would think they would let me know being I paid an extra $8 for the same thing. Also, they gave me a quarter of a banana and not even a handful of blueberries and maybe a teaspoon of peanut butter that I paid an extra $2 to have. What a joke and a rip off.

2021-06-14Awesome spot for acai bowls. During the lunch rush you can wait up to 30 minutes per order so its recommend ordering ahead of time. Delicious acai fruit bowls!!

2022-06-03The food may be good but the staff chit chats while the line grows. They were all hanging out. I waited 25 minutes and there was only 1 person ahead of me. It’s a shame. The food is good.

2022-07-16Yuck! Dont make me no ugly smoothie. No taste expected more. 15 dollars for a 12 oz cup high way robbery. The local Bodega/Deli makes better juice or smoothie. Skip this place. They are loco alright Loco in the Cabeza!Replying to your asinine answer:Awww coco loco did I hurt your little over expensive feelings?Get over yourself! Dont be rude! The prices are Astronomical and the smoothie was NASTY! Yes I am up but so are you! You might as well put high fructose in your drinks that would be a upgrade! Like I said You are loco alright Loco in the Cabeza! The Nerve ! Vegan items should taste good just throwing a bunch of nasty stuff together....Stop it!
