We recently had to put in our 16 year old pup and have been using the same veterinarian for 25 years ..We met Dr. Williams and Kayla for the first time with our new puppy Charlie. She was extremely loving and made us feel very comfortable with our first visit! She Informed us of all the necessary vaccines and even presented us with a puppy packet! … The staff was very professional and the practice was extremely clean and took all necessary safety precautions Charlie was happy too!!😊I highly recommend the practice
The staff is always so sweet and understanding with our very happy energetic puppy. The office is always very clean as well
The doctors and staff at Locust Valley Vet are the best! Everyone is so friendly, courteous and compassionate. I always have a pleasant experience when I bring my Oliver in for his check ups. I highly recommend this clinic!
I wasn’t asked to write a review. I just felt that this place more than deserves it! I was referred by my boss who also uses their services and let me tell you; After visiting Locust Valley Vet, I will not be taking my puppy anywhere else!! The entire experience from walking in, while in the room and even getting check out to leave is on point. Everyone is extremely genuine, welcoming and professional. This place deserves way more than 5 stars! Thank you Locust Valley Vet for making my experience always a pleasant one for my frenchie & I! We appreciate all of you!

Also, the Doctors/Team of West Hills Animal Hospital is amazing and I would never take my pets anywhere else. Ive taken my German Shepherd here for years and have always been more than impressed with their compassion and quality medicine for my dog, Bella. Highly recommended!

Going to the Vet can be a very traumatic experience for our pets, & sometimes the pet owners as well.But since weve been coming to Locust Valley with our dogs, its been nothing short of a good time for all of us.As soon as we walk in the door, the staff is do welcoming with smiles, & are so happy to see the animals.They talk to them, pet them, sometimes play with them, & are so caring & polite to speak too.All we have to even say to our dogs is, lets go get our nails cut, or lets go see Dr. Meloni, whom they LOVE, they run for their leads & harnesses.This facility had it all.What I love most is, they are extremely gentle with our dogs while providing an extremely thorough examination.I dont remember any times when my dog growled at the doctors or the Techs while getting shots or blood drawn.My little Chihuahua, Monroe, sits there still literally watching his blood being drawn.The staff has such a special way with animals, & their love sines through work & ability to make the experience as calming as possible.In short, this is the place to bring your pets for the most comprehensive medical care.Everyone from the front desk staff, to the technicians, to the Veterinarians are so warm, ready, willing, & able to do whatever they can for their clients, & first time visitors.You dont have to take my word for it, but please do visit the facility & meet the staff.I promise you, you wont be sorry.Bottom line here is, when you choose a Doctor or Surgeon for yourself, you want someone who makes you comfortable, listens to you & doesnt press you for time to get the next patient in, someone who cares about your well being & you trust your life with.So why wouldnt&t you want that for your pet?After all, they arent just any ole animal for your kids to play with & ignored.Our pets ate a member of the family who deserve the unconditional love they give.So treat them right, dont take them for granted, share in their joy, & bring them to they best place for wellness, & the best place anywhere for their medical needs.Locust Valley Animal Clinic, &West Hills Animal Hospital, together, is the place to bring your pets.I know you will love this facility, & will be amazed at the wonderful people who work there.I highly recommend Locust Valley Animal Clinic to everyone who has pets.I cannot day enough about the wonderful experiences our dogs have with the staff.
I have been going there for over 15 years. They are amazingly kind, knowledgable and caring and I would never bring my pets anywhere else!! Now that the West Hills Emergency Animal Hospital is accessible as a regular patient, and they have all my pets records, I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend them to anyone!
Dr. Kim Vissichelli is a wonderful vet and the staff is wonderful! My dog lost his battle with cancer a month ago and the entire staff was compassionate and caring during the 4 years that we have lived here. I highly recommend them and will bring our new puppy there, when we get one.
This is by far the best veterinary clinic I have ever dealt with. I have owned many animals and no one has ever taken better care of my German Shorthaired Pointer better then Dr. Vissichelli. She is kind,bright and caring. My dog is elderly so she is very patient and gentle with her. The clinic atmosphere is warm and friendly and the prices are average and fair. They understand peoples love of their animals. I had to share this information because my recent experience with the clinic was wonderful.
We are very satisfied with the care our cats receive from LV Veterinary Clinic. We have been using them for years and love the care they give to our furry family members. All the staff is really caring.
Dr. Visachelli is the best veterinarian my family has brought our dogs to. She is passionate about her job, knowledgeable, friendly, and has a way with the animals she cares for. Dr. Reis is also a very talented veterinarian, with great attention to detail. The clinics inviting and calm environment, in addition to its experienced staff, make it one of the best clinics on Long Island.I completely trust Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic to care for my 2 dogs throughout their senior years. I know they will be cared for attentively, because the vets treat each patient as if it were their own pet. I certainly recommend bringing your dog or cat here. He or she will be well taken care of!

Im shocked that there are any negative reviews on this page. Locust Valley and their staff are absolutely amazing. They are professional, compassionate, clean, and the best veterinarian in the area by far. Do not listen to the negativity - my animals are my life.

Such a wonderful group of people! I have literally come to this practice with everything you can imagine....an abandoned 3 week old kitten, a dog with a fish hook caught in his leg, an older cat with cancer, and every visit they have taken wonderful care of both my animal and me! I highly recommend this practice.
This is the best veterinarian to go to. Ive been taking my pets here for years and the staff is great and full of respect to their clients. Definitely would reccomened this to anyone who lives near the area even if you are 50 miles away!
I recently moved into the area and have a 10 month old pitty, and decided to go into this vet clinic to check it out. I walked in a few days ago, and nobody was even at the front desk to greet me. I took a few looks around the waiting room and that was enough for me to leave. The place looks like it hasnt been cleaned or remodeled in any way since 1970. Really looked and smelled gross. I was told by a friend who is local that the doctor there is pretty good so I figured I would give it a chance but if their clinic looks like it is from the 70s and it is dirty, how good can their medicine be? Heard West Hills was good too and since they recently took the place over, I had high hopes.. totally let down. Since nobody was up front at the time I just walked out. Called later that afternoon to get a quote for a spay and some vaccinations... prices are out of control. Never again. Found another vet in the area the next day down the block from them, what a difference!
I came to see Dr. Vissichelli based on the recommendation of a friend who goes to her regularly. She was amazing! The staff at Locust Valley Vet were extremely warm and friendly. The hospital was quaint and very homey. You felt like a regular the moment you walked in. Dr. Vissichelli was very thorough, compassionate, and spent a lot of time answering my questions. I highly recommend Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic to everyone I know.
My dog is now 13 years old and this is the only office she has ever been to- and I wouldn’t have it any other way.... she even walked herself there last month- but that’s another story! I highly recommend this practice.
Easy to see right off of Forest Avenue servicing Locust Valley and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible. Clean facilities. Public Restroom. Credit cards accepted. No checks accepted. Dr. Kimberly Meloni is amazing with the patients. Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back.

2021-12-31The doctors and staff are so knowledgeable, attentive, thorough, professional, kind and caring. It’s so homey, warm and welcoming inside, and there is such a family feel between all of the staff, and they make you feel as if you are a part of the family. I’d highly recommend Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic, and I drive 40 minutes out of my way to make sure my fur baby is in the best hands possible!!

2022-06-17Would not trust anyone else with my pups, Dr. Meloni has always been a very compassionate, genuine, and empathetic provider to my pups. She doesnt rush through visits, thoroughly answers any and all questions, and provides excellent care. My dog loves going to the vet because of how pleasurable she makes every visit. She also doesnt try to make money by scaring patients with possible diagnoses, I 10/10 recommend Locust Valley Clinic

2022-02-22I cant say thank you enough to all the doctors and the staff at Locust Valley for their patience and care for my cat Honey. Had to go in a few times before we could figure out how to fix her problem but in the end it was well worth it. I would highly recommend. Very thorough, reasonably priced and very caring.

2022-02-17Weve made 1 visit...........traveling from Plainview, it took close to 35 minutes. But Dr. Eisbruck was in the vet practice very close to our home, and once she moved to Loc Valley Vet, we decided to follow her. She combines competence with warmth, warmth to our doggie, warmth for us. She empathizes with the issues of being a pet owner, and we so highly recommend her. Having made our first visit, the clinic is clean, comfortable, with the staff very welcoming. Our appointment was on time, and after a very short wait, the prize was seeing Dr. E as many of us call her.

2022-05-12I really feel like they did what was best by me and my sweet little fur baby. It was hard letting her go but she’s not suffering anymore . Amazing staff and so caring and understanding . Thank you for making these final moments a little easier .

2021-12-30Just took my baby munchkin cat there for the first time and walking out feeling like I made the best choice possible in terms of vet choice. The staff was full of incredibly helpful, nice, knowledgeable people that seem to genuinely care about your pet.

2021-09-18Wow. Absolutely amazing practice. We brought our 3 month old Maltese - Lola for our first visit and she was treated like a little princess by everyone including the doctor! I highly recommend this office.
