2022-02-07This is a Peruvian / Bolivian restaurant, formerly known as Puerta del Sol, its been totally renovated, it looks very nice and a lot more modern than before, its under new management, which has kept many items from the old menu. Here you can enjoy the famous and of a kind SALTEÑAS, which are very unique to Bolivia, a salteña leaves all other empanadas in the dust, they are just awesome❗❗❗

2021-07-14We were very disappointed. Just tried this new place. Great presentation but the only way I can describe it as flavorless. I really like Peruvian ceviche but this ceviche was lacking salt, seasoning and lime. Sadly it tasted like it was seasoned in water.Ambiance was good. Needs some natural plants.

2022-04-10I rarely write reviews, but this was one of the best meals Ive had in years. I live in NJ and was meeting a friend for dinner who lives nearby in Queens. I would make the trip just to eat at this place again.Cevicheria NYC a warm local feel with a nice clean ambiance. The Pique Macho is a must! I highly recommended!!!

2021-10-02The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The saltenas are good but the rest is okay. We had the shrimp ceviche which could use more flavor. I thought the Bolivian food was okay (we had silpancho and Pique macho) but my Bolivian parents were not fans and thought the plates lacked flavor. This place is still pretty new so hopefully they take these reviews and improve their flavors because this is the only place to get Bolivian food in the city that I know of!

2022-03-28Salteñas were ok. A bit greasy on the inside. Silpancho was great. The main problem was how long it took to get our food. Waaaaay too long.

2021-12-05Service is great and presentation is clean but food is lacking flavor just bland overpriced I was expecting hot kalamari but ended up getting a kalamari salad it was cold and barely Any fish. I also ordered soup it was just two pieces of meat and barely any flavor. Ended up spending 50 dollars totally not worth it .

2021-06-28Ive been eating and cooking Peruvian food for over 20 years. I know how to cook authentic Peruvian cuisine and I know how its supposed to taste. For those that dont know, sorry for you.. The ceviche antojos del mar was not good at all. Maybe it was a fusion of Peruvian and bolivian ceviche, but it didnt look or taste good, Portion was rather small too!! This place needs a new chef!! I do not recommend, sorry!! Good Luck!!
