Went here once small library but has some unique history blended with resource items! This is a paradise away type library quiet and convenient! Just dont know how this place is always not a constant patron here, could be for the sea gulls too gwaak!
This place is the greatest!!!! They always have the book I want and the employees are very nice. They give great book recommendations and the have great events upstairs! Long live long beach public library!!
Took my grandson to see Molly Mouse and he had a great time.
Nice and quiet, can complain, its a library. No one was there and staff was very helpful.
Lazy employees unwilling to help , all I wanted to do was use their computer for a print out. No help , rude , they are just collecting money like the city itself with its crazy prices and parking tickets
Helpful and pleasent staff, decent book and A/V selection (though they used to have a better non-fiction section)

2021-08-26My photography group was asked to create an exhibit for the summer at Long Beach Public Library. Jeanine, Mike and the ENTIRE team at LBPL were professional, organized and supportive with assisting us in the preparation process, media support and promotion every step of the way. They were easy to work with and helped to create a successful reception. Looking forward to working with them again in the future.

2017-06-14Library is fabulous great place to research as well as work on your personal laptop , Love the special events held from time to time on the second floor. Great opportunity to meet people in the community you would not have met before outside of church or your normal social setting.

2021-10-30What happened to the library? It is so stark and empty, appears gutted. No reference section, no periodicals, few books on the shelves. Very sad... I wish I had known what was happening, so I could have raised my voice against it. The thousands of books that have been removed belonged to the people of Long Beach. You had no right to destroy them without our consent.

2021-12-10Attended Sip and Paint was great experience for first time painter. Jeanine, shakira, and instructor were a pleasure. I hope the library does another sip and paint event in the future..

2020-11-23The library is very quiet and excellent for college students like me to get away and focus. The staff is very attentive and helpful and gives off a warm welcome. There is a great variety of seating as well as literature. Not only do they have a great selection of books but they also have great museum passes. From various resources such as movie streaming services and thoughtful people, this library never fails to impress.

2021-07-30Long Beach library has so much to offer, yet there are people who dont know about the videos, audiobooks, music, and so much more! They even have books! The staff are so helpful and I could go on and on. If you are a student or own a business and have questions about pretty much anything-they can help you find the answer!See you at the library!

2021-06-25The Long Beach Library folks, especially Jeannine and Tom, were instrumental in setting up an online Writers Forum for our organization Long Island Authors Group. The event was this past Tuesday and very successful! They publicized the Forum, set up the zoom technology, and Jeannine even helped out with questions during the presentation. 2016-05-07I come here to study in the quiet room so I can only really review the quiet room. Each table has 2 outlets to charge electronics so that was thoughtful of the library. There is free WiFi available. They keep the library clean as well. I wish there were more tables in the quiet room however. The quiet room is small and only has 5 tables so thats a downside but considering the small size of the library, thats understandable.
