My son and I bought a sweet bike for his son, my grandson, there 2 weekends ago. They have a nice selection of bikes of all sizes, shapes and even power options. Owner works on bikes, assembles new arrivals for delivery, great work, welcoming atmosphere, timely and reasonably priced. In the past week had 2 other of our family bikes worked on there with awesome result. He took my bike from UN-rideable to WOW ! New oversized tires, handlebars adjusted for comfort new hand grips and pedals, safety light, complete tune, lube and check. LOVIN IT!! Go there for anything bike, youll be thrilled.
I had a roadside mechanical as cyclists are apt to say. It means your bike will not roll...anywhere unless repaired. My brain could not assist my arthritic hands to do the repairs myself out on the road and I was three miles away from their shop. A bus came along which deposited me and my Trek within three minutes walking distance from Long Island Bicycles at 112 and Main Street.There are many bike shops on Long Island to assist in repairs of a disabled bike. Often however, they are too busy to assist you in this present lifetime. You will have to leave it here; we are all backed up, or something to that effect. I didnt receive that chilly reception here. The gentleman served me promptly and repaired the flat. My hands could not get the rear tire to engage the derailleur and chain while simultaneously engaging the slot where the axle rests. He graciously did this for me.It may not seem like a big deal, but it was. I rode seventy four hours and did not want to wrestle with any mechanical issues at all and still had twelve more miles to travel home. I was exhausted, yet the day was a very good one for exercise, problem solving, not being stranded in the Manorville Forest, and great customer service. For this I am grateful. Thank you Long Island Bicycles.I have their business card in my wallet and bookmarked on my phone. It is good to know there is a bicycle parts and repairs venue on the South Shore for future reference. It was a very nice experience doing business with them on my very first visit.
Brought my older Schwin in for tune up and brakes. Bike works great now. They did the work lightning fast. (1 day).Shop is well stocked, neat and organized. People were pleasent enough. Ill be returning.
I went in for some accessories. They had all but one of the items I needed. They were out of stock on cell phone mounts. Cant really fault them for that. The cashier was very abrupt and curt with everyone she interacted with.
Dean is the best. He helped me and my friend with a dirt jumper suspension when other shops could not.
Brought a bicycle in the morning received a phone call late afternoon. Bike was all done. Thank you.

Terrible customer service I bought tire yesterday was told it would be easy to change of course tire blew today and I call they said only warnantty it if they put it on well maybe some one sold had told me that

2020-10-23I recently purchased 2 bicycles for my sister and me, over the Internet. Dean, the owner of LI bicycles did not have these bikes in stock due to the pandemic. I waited 3 months for the bikes.I brought the 7-speed cruiser bikes to him and he assembled them for us In a timely manner. He was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend his store. He takes the time to explain the functions of the bike to you and made any adjustments needed while we were there. We haven’t been on a bike in 30 years! There’s nothing like a neighborhood store.Thank you, Dean.

2020-04-10Great brother and sister great hospitality if they dont have the part.They order it and its there in a couple of days I ordered a riser for my bike to bring my hand the bars up to Max height and I got 4 1/2 more inches so no need to get an extension or even a different set of handlebars thank you very much guys.. They have a very wide selection of bikes to choose from all kinds of different accessories for your bike helmets Hughes different color hand the bars tires you name it they got it Enter pay dont have a they order it for you...

2021-06-04OMG this is the BEST place! We live right down the road, my boys are ALWAYS in there needing stuff - the guy is always so patient and helpful! Any time my boys need their bikes fixed, he is always quick, efficient, and very reasonably priced. We love this place!

2021-03-13Definitely a 5 star. I got my new RadRover 5 and took it for assembly. Requested them to assemble it as soon as they can. They surprised me by calling me same day to let me know bike is ready. Assembly was done professionally and I must say they did a great job. Owner is super nice and definitely they deserve five stars.

2020-05-20I know the owner is an amazing mechanic and he was in the whole bmx sceen for years but when I go in for parts or anything the lady is very cold and not very helpful. Almost like she doesnt wish to deal with me. Im definitely not going back. Every time Ive been there through the years, Ive had the same experience. They do stock decent stuff though.

2021-05-27Free tune-ups for a year on new bikes. Broke a brake caliper on my new bike I bought from them (and it was almost definitely my fault) and the owner fixed it for free, no questions asked. Unmatched customer service.

2018-06-13I only learned to ride a bike last year, so I decided to buy my bike here since theyre the closest bike shop I can think of, and I heard so many horror stories about buying a bike at major retailers. Best decision I ever made. The employees are very friendly and know their stuff. Being a novice bike rider, Ive had several repair issues and they have always been quite helpful. I just came back from having a tune up done, and having several accessories placed on the bike. I was very pleasantly surprised, both by the level of service and the price they charged. I will definitely continue to use this place for my biking needs, and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
