I was very satisfied with the inspection by Thomas DAgostino from Long Island Home Inspection Associates. He is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, professional and patient. This is my second time working with Thomas in the past 7 years. I highly recommend him and will certainly use him again in the future.
My wife and I highly recommend Tom of L.I. Home Inspection Associates. Tom was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable in every area of our home inspection. He put us right at ease from the start and conducted a thorough inspection from top to bottom of our house. Tom was sure to cover everything and gave us excellent suggestions and tips for our future home. His pricing is good and fair and he also took our appointment on very short notice and also on a holiday weekend.
Tom has performed thorough home inspections for me. He is personable, knowledgable and honest. He will answer every question and inspect all areas of the home. Tom has shined the light on dark areas and explained truthfully to me what he sees. His perspective and experience are invaluable before purchasing a home. You walked the roof and checked the entire outside foundation. Excellent service + best price you can find in the area! We had great experience using Jack as our home inspector. He spent about 2 hours inspecting the home we are buying, and found numerous minor areas that need to be repaired, and no big problems in structure. His inspection also included termites and cesspools, which usually cost you extra money. What he charges you is even lower than those who dont include these extra services. Great person and professional service. Highly recommended.
WZ. As first time home purchasers, we are overwhelmed with the amount of information being provided to us. Fortunately Jack of Long Island Home Inspection alleviated the home inspection part of the process. Jack was patient and thorough with his explanation and did not hesitate to provided color commentary as to the value of the house and necessary cost to repair . Jack also provided a great report that gave us a crystal clear affirmation of the details which were explained to us during the walk through of the property. Thorough, Punctual, Easy to talk to and no BS. We called Long Island Home Inspection when the company we hired at the last second had to cancel (Not their fault but we were now stuck). Thomas DAgostino performed an in depth inspection of the home we are looking to buy. The report was done quickly and left nothing out. Im more than happy with Thomas work. Hes very knowledgeable and explains what he finds as the inspection is taking place. He warned me of the first house I wanted to buy, it had different issues that I wouldve never noticed on my own, and for that Im thankful!. Report is easy to understand and covers everything that needs attention. All in all GREAT service!!!!
So disappointed. Was a first time home buyer and on our official report it states our roof is in fine condition. Had two leaks within months of closing and was told that ‘they don’t inspect the roof.’ Then it shouldn’t of been reported on AT ALL. Along with our central AC unit not functioning when we closed which we were not told about, broken beam in the ceiling and many more things. A waste of money is all I have to say. You’re better off not having an inspection than wasting money on them.
I was referred to Thomas by my realtor. Thomas is a master of his trade. I was amazed by his knowledge, professioanalism and patience. He was very thorough during the inspection and identified many small issues that had to be corrected by the builder. I highly recommend!!!
This is my second inspection with Tom. He is professional, courteous, personable and most importantly, knowledgeable. He explains everything he is doing and answers any question you have(of which I had many!). I appreciate using a small local business. I recommend him without hesitation.

2022-04-25Cannot say enough how much we appreciated Toms attention to detail and patience. We are first time home buyers, and he took the time to explain everything in great detail - what the problem was, how big of a deal it is, how to fix it - and left us feeling more prepared to be homeowners. He is professional and responsive and worked within our VERY tight turnaround time. I would recommend him to anyone, but especially nervous first time buyers!

2020-07-06Cannot express how happy I was with Toms inspection. He was thorough, and made sure that as a first-time home buyer I understood exactly what he was doing, and why. He also made fantastic recommendations for how repairs could be done, which made the process seem way less overwhelming. His report is impressively thorough, and I could not have asked for a better experience with a home inspection!

2021-01-02We used Thomas for our home inspection when we purchased our first home. Within one month of moving into the home we learned the hot water heater was exhausted into the attic and not outside of the home releasing carbon monoxide into our home. We reached out to Tom for help and he offered to remedy the situation. He sent someone from a Cesspool company to repair the job. The Cesspool repair man repaired the job below industry standards and I had to pay to have it properly repaired. As time goes on, we learn of more and more issues with the house that this home inspector overlooked.

2021-02-09Tom recently did the inspection on my new home. Because of Covid, I couldnt be there in person. Tom walked me through everything he was going to inspect and called me immediately afterwards with a summary of his findings. A few days later I received an incredibly through report that I used as a punch list for renovations. I highly recommend Long Island Home Inspection Associates.

2019-03-26This was the first home inspection I ever needed, as this was the first time my wife and I are buying a home. Thomas was friendly, professional, and very thorough. He allowed me to walk the house with him as he completed the inspection and taught me about things I would never have known to look at. He did a great job and got me the inspection report very quickly. I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs an inspection.

2013-11-22Just had my new home inspection done by Tom DAgostino of Long Island Home Inspection Associates and I couldnt recommend a better home inspector! On time, courteous, thorough, and very professional. Tom came and spent about 2.5 hours looking at everything on the house, in two days we had a amazing report. Great experience over all! You dont find companies like this to work with every day.

2016-06-25Thomas did an excellent job on our home inspection. He was extremely thorough and the report had everything listed with pictures. It was a piece of mind having someone reputable go through the house. I would use him again in a heart beat. Always answers the phone or calls you right back. Very flexible with setting up appointments, and with something as stressful as buying a home the easiest part was working with Thomas.
