Pleasantly surprised! I took a few out-of-towners here for the holiday themed experience. Not expecting much as far as food/drink quality. But WOW! Everyone’s food was absolutely delicious (mouth watering French onion soup and potato pancake for me) and our drinks were equally impressive. My hot toddy was one of the best I’ve ever had and my companions raved about their boozy hot chocolate. The hefty alcohol content makes up for the price tag. As others have mentioned, getting your food takes a while and eats into your 1.5 hour reservation limit and our assigned corner lacked the luscious holiday decor in other parts of the restaurant.
Hard to find anything really positive to say about this place. The “schnitzel” is absolutely not schnitzel (see photo), and for $20 a plate, which I felt I had to finish due to the exploitative price, it’s hard to go somewhere else after to feel satisfied: it’s far too much money for what you get. We also ordered a currywurst, which was better, but not great. Honestly, this place was massively disappointing and we won’t ever come back. Of all the beer gardens in NYC, there is significant distance between this place (the worst I’ve been to) and second worst. Skip. Life is too short to eat or drink here.
I really enjoyed hanging out here with friends. My friends were olease with the Frose and Margaritas. Im pregnant so they accommodated with Virginia mojito. I had the pancakes which was fluffy, definitely that buttermilk flavor, the whip cream and fresh fruits were nice. The decor is beautiful. Outdoor is a nice vibe, there were fans and its shaded so it was too hot despite it being a very warm day. Ill be back after baby. The manager also came to apologize for wait on food and brought shots which we appreciate the service and consideration.
Was a very chill vibe with nice back beer garden, the staff was very friendly and checked in with us often. The beer suggestions were fantastic. We were a large group and presented with a single bill when ready to leave after rather than given our own bills which made it difficult to figure out how much each person owes.
Once the beer came in, I was already blown away by the flavor; literally the most delicious beer Ive ever had. But then, they brought the food 😏 the sausages were amazing and my entre was out of this world.Special thanks to the waiters and staff that made the entire experience all the more memorable.
Place looks very impressive and upscale. But one thing that I did not like was the menu. I feel like for it’s location and the way it looks menu should definitely be a bit better.Menu was too simple.. feels like I was eating at a fast food place. Also for couples..seating was very uncomfortable not big enough. No place or hangers to hang coats. Imagine eating lunch with so many layers. From the outside it looks like a couples place but it’s not. Anyways place looks nice but menu does not match the location.
Good drinks and bar snacks but the head waiter was very sassy and rude. Kept taking orders from us then saying we had to leave because someone else was coming to use the table. 3 drinks later it was still happening. The other waiters were really friendly and efficient but the head guy needs to lose the attitude or at least have the nerve to come and speak to us directly instead of loudly moaning about us within earshot and rolling his eyes. We were a large party spending lots of money! You do the math!!!!
Went here based on the good reviews online but this bar is terrible. It was dead inside, after waiting at least 10 min to be served, we asked to move outside since it seemed more lively. We waited at least another 10 min for someone to come and take our order. When the server did come he was weirdly robotic?, no apologies for the excessive waiting. We got one beer each, my boyfriends was warm. I had something in my drink - maybe part of a napkin?? Saw the waiter jog down the street to chat with friends on the street while he should have been serving people, the door man had his gf? Standing there chatting the whole time we were there. What a mess. Save your money go anywhere else.
Was advertised to me on Instagram and looked like fun so I said why not. The place was beautiful and great for pics but the food and service were mediocre and the frozen rose was nothing special. Overpriced. Idk about anyone else but I wasnt aware that it was also a bar. Place was very crowded. The line for the bathroom was very long. Wouldnt go back. Best thing about the place is the French fries
I was incredibly disappointed with the service and food at Loreley. My table ordered an appetizer pretzel and it took 45 mins to arrive!!!! When asked about the pretzel we were told it was delivered to another table! Which is fine, but after that it still took 15 mins to get another pretzel. While my party was sitting at the table our waiter only checked on us one time and that was because we complained to the manager because our time was up. The reason we discussed the time with the manager was because someone in our party ordered a steak medium and the steak arrived well done! The wait staff did take the steak back and offered a side of fries to eat while waiting for a new steak and instead of bringing a side of fries, they brought the same plate back minus the incorrectly cooked steam...which is unacceptable! Ive never had that happen at a restaurant(not even at a fast food chain). When the new steak arrived, it was still not cooked correctly but at this point there was no fixing the issue.I would not recommend this restaurant!
First time at Loreley Beer Garden. Found it on Facebook and was attracted by the chocolate and different flavored drinks so decided to bring my fiance here for his birthday. He loves flavored beers! Honestly the only thing we liked was the food. The food was really good but everything else was off. If it wasnt for the below rating would have been better. Lets start with the point of me booking the place the fancy drinks-- They are only available by season! Blah! So this should be advertised only by season. The staff wasnt very attentive. We got appetizers before getting utensils. I am trying to wave 👋 kitchen people down and they were so into a soccer game on the TV they didnt even notice us a friend had to yell hello! They gave us a table by the door so every time someone walked in and out it was freezing cold. Need better heaters for sure! Lastly I asked for them to bring a fried ice cream for his birthday and they brought the check before the ice cream with the candles so of course everybody was too busy looking for credit cards and missed it. The singing happy birthday was all over the place. Would of been nice to get that before the check but seemed like we were being rushed to get out.
Went for my birthday. The place is usually good but our server was bizarre. He was very judgmental and laughed at my friends choices of drinks. Bad service and attitude overall. Gave himself a good tip added to the bill which he did not deserve. Tuesday the 26th, taller lighter skinned guy with hawaiian shirt.Love this place, been going for my bday for years, just really unfortunate this guy brought the mood down for my friends and took extra money from us. The kitchen was also very very slow that night but I get it since it was a Tuesday and not on peak.
Came on a Saturday night with reservations, and was promptly seated at a table outside, the service stopped there. Wait around for at least 15 minutes before the waiter brought us the QR code/menus. After ordering food and drinks(beer and a rose), the drinks didn’t come out until after a 30-40 minute wait and after the food. Literally, all they had to do was pour from a tap and a bottle. They are short staffed and overbooked, expect a long wait for anything
Not really a beer garden. Just a place with a patio in the back that serves Germanic beers and food. Got the Wiener Schnitzel and it was reasonably close to what it should be. I was not able to replace the salad with pickles and was told that the pickles would be free, but when the check came they charged $3. It’s not about the cost, but the experience.
The food and service here was really good! Yaz Im not sure if this is how you spell it was really helpful and sweet! My friend had lost her bag and she had helped to search everywhere we were to make sure if my friend’s lost item was there. Super patient and sweet, it was really appreciated! Good customer service! Tyson as well the guy in the front checking ID’s was so understanding and sweet! It was kind to see him care as well to make sure if we had left our contact number! 10/10 recommend! Great people which is what makes this place so great!
This place was just okay. The beer is kind of expensive and the service isn’t great. We ordered the giant pretzel but somehow the waiter forgot to bring it to us so we just never got it. There are also no working space heaters on the outside courtyard, so even though it looked like they were on it was freezing in the “beer garden”.
Fun place always...1st time back post Covid...great beer selection...decent food...what i dont get, Im with a group pf 5, in 2hrs have a$325 tab of food & drinks, still going and they came and tell us they need the table....i can understand if were not drinking, but we were still drinking..that left a sour taste in my mouth
If I could give this place more stars, I would. This place was decorated beautifully for the holidays, including the heated outdoor patio. More importantly, the staff was so very welcoming and friendly, especially our waiter, Gunter. He went above and beyond with his service which truly made our experience amazing! Not only was he a great waiter, he was also attentive, informative, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! Having him as a waiter was a great experience and it is because of him that this was definitely not my last time here. The food was great and they had a wide variety of things including tacos, burgers, salads, and of course, German dishes. I definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere, service and food.
Can’t believe I didn’t know about this place until now! It’s a cute, trendy take on German beer garden. Has a great selection of beers, a pink flower wall in the backyard seating area, and amazing German food! Was pretty busy for a Wednesday night so imagine the weekend gets even more crowded! Definitely a place to check out
I misunderstood their rosé special, it’s not really a significant discount. The drinks are good but not inexpensive. A few of my friends didn’t like their drinks. The seating was weird, my reservation said outdoor beer garden. The host wouldn’t seat us there and said that to sit outside we would have had to have made a special arrangement with the manager and that it cost more. What? I asked what the price was to sit outside and she said she didn’t know and wandered away. Sounds like she was lying or if it was a policy it should be clearly listed when you’re making your reservation. The food was fine, I had to send back the breakfast sliders. Not only did they look unappealing, but I’d asked for crispy bacon, and they’d failed to make it crisp. The omelette was good and they replaced the ham with chorizo for me. The server was very nice and accommodating but seemed a little confused. This was interesting to visit, but I wouldn’t return for brunch again.
One of the most relaxing places in lower Manhattan for a few drinks. They have a decent food menu. Huge beer selection with seasonal beers. Outdoor seating in the back and in front. Theres also limited indoor seating. Tables are separated with plastic. Social distancing rules are observed. Tables were sticky and our waiter did not bothered to wipe down our table with a clearly visible spill. Other than that, we had a great time winding down after dinner to end the day.
This little gem was trending for its holiday cocktails and cute holiday decor and its as cute as it looks. They had variety of great drinks, wine and beer. We ordered a bunch of things to pick on such as their giant pretzel, cheese dip, avocado, wings and all were delicious. Tried the sausage plate that came with 3 different types of sausage mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Food was good! The hot apple cider was delicious! And of course had to try the boozy hot chocolate with the delicious marshmallows which was yummy!
Ok place. The bathrooms are tiny and gross. Had to wipe down toliet before could sit down. Very loud, even inside. Spaetzle very good. Mashed potoatoes creamy. Brats ok. Not the best I have ever had. Jacguersnitzl ok. Kind of over done. Too crunchy. Potato pancake way over done.
THANK YOU to Loreley and especially Lauren, Doug, Birger, and Raven for accommodating my birthday dinner and friends and making it magical. I have now had 3 parties/ dinners at Loreley (since 2016) because the vibe is so relaxed yet fun. My friends always have a great time just catching up and enjoying the food and beers (which come in Beauty and the Beast style mugs!). I couldn’t have had a better night. I’m a little nervous to write this review in case everyone finds this ‘hidden gem’ of mine 😂 — but Loreley deserves the praise and attention! I also appreciated their commitment to being COVID-safe and aware during this time while also ensuring everyone enjoys themselves as the city begins to open up.
The bar was nice enough. It has a good selection of German beers and a chill feel to the place. We went on a Friday night and the beer garden closed around 11pm. I dont understand why but they made everyone leave the beer garden area. The inside tables had a lot of reservations so there was no where left to sit. I feel the place positioned itself as a comfortable bar where you can hang out but ran itself like an exclusive bar with its reservations and weird hours. I wouldnt go again. There are too many places in Manhattan to go to to play musical chairs.
This place was okay their IG is poppin, but I was underwhelmed by the actual space and the food. It was freezing. I guess they dont have heat. They charged $28 for that plate of sausage... How Sway? The pretzel was nice and warm though... these photos belong to Veranda Baker and are not to be used without expressed written consent. 11/2018
Came here on a Tuesday night for a happy hour with a few friends. The food and drinks were great but service did take a long time (the place was busy to be honest). One thing to note if you sit in the back outside, you will get bitten by mosquitoes if it’s a summer night. My whole party had about 5 bites each by the time we left so be sure to have some bug spray. Besides that, I’d definitely stop by one more time when things are less on the busy side.
Always a fun place to drop by when in NYC. Away from the noise and for a minute you are transported to Germany. The beers are pure joy and the main reason Ive been coming to this place for over a decade now. Though there are quite a few other great german bars in the city this one takes my heart!
We placed a reservation for 15 people and requested to sit outside weeks in advance... We knew sitting outside was not guaranteed, but they placed us inside at a table that could fit 11-12 people. They wouldnt accommodate moving us outside no matter how long we waited, so we had folks arrive with nowhere to sit. Recommend going somewhere else for your large group event
I have never had a frozay before and this was DELICIOUS! A mix of rose` strawberries and vodka. It was amazing! Outside was super festive and so pretty. We followed the crowd and got a pumpkin keg because, it seemed like the thing to do lol So glad we did because the pumpkin beer was delicious! Full of flavors of Fall. They played fun music and had 2 separate outdoor seating areas as well as inside. Definitely a good time and I recommend this little Gem : )
Really nice bar 2 eat at and grab a 1LE beer. I came here four meet up with a group of friends. We had a party of over 12 people and ordered a lot of beers as well as food. I ordered a Laura Lee Burger I came with fries as well as nachos with chorizo. My sister got a bratwurst sandwich with fries as well. We both really like the pretzel bun. I would highly recommend trying out some of the food if youre hungry. Or even just coming to grab a few leader or pints of beer. They have two bathrooms one is accessible and they also have two outdoor spaces for dining out. In front of the beer garden is an outdoor dining set up. Is covered and also heated. They offer traditional dining in with partitions between each table. And towards the back of the restaurant they have an outdoor space that is very nice and enjoyable if you would like to eat outside. My only complaint is to bring a sweater or jacket in the summertime, they have the air conditioning on very high. Overall would recommend to stop by and relax with a beer or some bratwurst.
Great ambience and place to chill with a group of friends. Nice lighting in the evening. Food was also great. The only con I felt was not much variety of food in general. Even for vegetarians, there were only 2 dishes. Decent quantity and great vibe overall. Location is slightly remote but allows reservations of large groups.
Awesome little spot in East Village that has a great beer garden. Beer selection is also awesome with a German American-style IPA being a great option. Also recommend getting the pretzels with mustard for a nice snack which comes out piping hot and goes will with a brew. Random but also lovely for a beer garden is the internal decor. They have a cool floral design going on on the walls. Its a refreshing change from being unable to go to bars while also being able to keep social distancing.
I came here as a impulse decision with my girls and I really loved our experience and our waitress. Her name is Kerri and she was amazing. But before I get into her, the food. We ordered the Chicken Tacos, Lorelay burger, and Sausage Party. All were amazing!!! We also ordered a couple of margaritas, blood orange and strawberry, they were a bit on the sweet side a little but they tasted pretty good especially frozen. (You have the option of frozen or on the rocks w/ or w/o salt.) I got the pumkin beer as well because its October of course and it has a interesting taste but I kinda liked it. Now back to this amazing person named Kerri. We really loved the service she gave to us. Very friendly and helpful with when we had requests and questions. I am planning to come back soon just because of her.
I came in for Taco Tuesdays once after seeing an add on Facebook. The place is really cute. I actually liked the vibe on the interior better than the outdoor seating area in the back. If its summer time and/or youve got a big squad of friends, the outdoor area may be your best bet.We of course tried the tacos, which were excellent. Apparently, the chicken ones are most popular (go figure). If you love Instagramming your food (dont well all!), Youll LOVE their margaritas. The whole presentation is amazing. Theyre not just photogenic either. There are multiple flavors (e.g. coconut). Youll definitely find something you like.Bottom line: Check it out. I might stop by again for brunch or to see what things like like on Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights. You coming?!
Great food, good beer. Good vibes. Only thing I would say making it 4 stars is that there was no one there except my party of 5 and the staff kept on coming by frequently to ask us to buy more stuff indirectly and we couldnt chill as long as we wanted to. I would understand if it was busier, but there was no one there
Okay first time here.Granted my husband did not walk with his ID, yet I had a 10 people party and nothing could be done.Fine that’s your process, but when it come to service. Horrible the bouncer/security the hostess the person serving our drinks bad bad BAD .No reason to treat people like that, my friends didn’t like those slushy drinks and I told the server, he took both drinks and brought back one and said that one was on the house yet charged us for drinks my friends did not like or drink AT ALL. Overall will not be going back plus it was a birthday outing for both me and my Pisces sister .Go somewhere else more bars in the area.
This place has some of the most delicious German food that I have ever eaten outside of Germany! The beer selection (both bottled and on tap) is incredible, the food is exquisitely delicious, and the beer garden out back (heated in the winter!) Is the absolutely perfect place to relax at the end of a long, hard work day. Every time I leave, I start counting down the days until I can go back.
A bit on the pricey side since it is in the city, and service wasn’t the best.. but the atmosphere and beers were very good. Our party of three sat outside and had three pitchers and two appetizers which came out to about $120. Will definitely come back! Bouncer was a chill dude, and the place was busy, but not overwhelming
Came here on a Saturday around 2pm for a drink and some food. My friends and I sat outdoors and came here without a reservation and were lucky to be seated right away. It looks like you’re able to sit with a group up to 10 people max, with enough room to be distanced from other parties. Recommend coming here for a drink if you’re able to sit outside. There is also a 1.5 hour limit and the waiter will be keeping track of this.
So my rating may not reflect 4 stars, just my opinion. Went outside for drinks and fun times in Feb. A little overcrowded due to its size but we went there before they opened the downstairs area. Outside heating area could have been a little better heated but they provide blankets which was nice. Cocktails are 👌especially that cider and mulled wine. Cozy spot if you get a table/seat.
I went here for a company event during the summer and it was my first time at a beer garden. Wow, it was such a cute place. We were located in the downstairs area and I loved the intimacy we had and the overall vibe. And the food was BOMB! The pretzels, wings, nachos, everything was soooo good! I would highly recommend coming here.
We waited for an hour for a table and then, after the understanding that our group of 6 would have an hour and a half, the bar brought us the check after 40 minutes and kicked us out. We were willing to continue spending money and our group was growing; however, they still kicked us out after legitimately 40 minutes. I understand that restaurants and bars have had an extremely difficult time with Covid, but after being an ideal patron, to be kicked out after sitting for 40 minutes really ruined the day. I suggest that they get rid of time limits and instead have a minimum spend per hour at the bar. Better to have fewer happy customers than having more customers leaving reviews like this.
First off, I have to say I am very impressed with the decor. The winter theme was a lovely touch during the winter season. Now the drinks...they are a little pricey and I feel that the prices do not reflect the actual quality of the drinks. If that does bother you, the drinks were nice and the heating lamps was a nice touch.
I really love this venue. It’s definitely a warm weather destination. They do have an inside area but I think it’s more exciting and socially engaging to sit on their back patio under the tent at a communal picnic table. The food is really great. The drinks are also fantastic. I think the price point for this bar is reasonable but it is nyc so if you’re visiting keep that in mind. I’ve been here many many times and have yet to have always had a great time!
Beautiful decor indoors and outdoors! Great brunch and amazing drinks! Had a great time at the rosé festival held in the summer and honestly can’t wait to go back! Staff is also extremely friendly. Sat outside with a friend at a table with two other people but it wasn’t weird. Had a great time!
Tons of fun. Great place for a weekend afternoon. Not really a traditional beer garden, more along the lines of a bar with more traditional German types of beers in large portions with an outdoor area, but still thought it was a great spot. TVs with sports and the pretzel balls were incredible
Went for the rosé brunch with my family. Our host Fernando was AMAZING! He was so attentive and helpful, he came to our table multiple times to make sure we were doing good, and he helped me pick what I wanted to eat! I had the smoke salmon dish which was delicious. Not to mention the decor was so beautiful, we took tons of pics! I will certainly be returning
Lovey place but very packed in the back were we sitting.the benches are good for parties of 6 ~9. However, the nice vibe and atmosphere made up for it. The service was top notch along with the beef sliders and mammoth size large beers. Its one of those places to go for the summer/autumn for a good times with your mates or partner
So I absolutely loved the Loreley Burger. Probably one of the top burgers I’ve tasted. Even though I personally don’t like spicy food, I still enjoyed the buffalo wings. The only thing that was missing for me, were the drinks. They weren’t anything out of the ordinary to justify the price.
It was fun super crowded they should really strongly suggest reservations for their event. Out waiter was clearly over worked and mixed up one of the orders having my friend wait until everyone was almost done eating to get her correct order. The margaritas are super strong and we didnt get the happy pur discount even though we were there in time. Its a cute spot and we made the best of it so I would still go again.
I had a bunch of trippel there with my friends around Christmas, rather quiet night, cant comment on food. What struck us all was the amount of effort theyve put into decorating that place for holidays - any more and it would be too much, but it was just right. Bartenders were cool too. We had a great time.
If you get a seat outside, this place is great. I’ve been here a few times over the years, but most recently went here with some friends and got a seat inside while there was a soccer match playing. It was completely overrun with drunken, loud people. So loud was the table next to us in fact, that we couldn’t hear each other across the table. We ended up leaving before we ordered. I already know the food and drink here are good, but unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy them due to the ambiance. Try this place during off-peak hours.
Its GREAT if its a quiet day and not too crowded. This quickly became a favorite spot to stop by for a drink and a bite. Theres a good beer selection and a soccer game is usually on.However, I tend to hit this place up while Im alone and once winter came and the restaurant got a lot busier things seemed to change and I stopped going unless its dead inside. I stopped going as often because of how dismissive and inattentive the staff were, which is a shame, because the food is good, the beer selection is great and the price is good.
Being a native from Cologne, Im very happy to find my local beers here including a number of typical German dishes, even if the cook seems to have a preference for Bavarian food. The quality of the food is excellent from a German point of view (and believe me, were picky). Prices are a bit higher than I would expect, but its OK for NYC standards.
Very nice selection of Germanic beers and surprisingly good food. Also have some nice rotating taps of various fine ales. I don’t think enough people look to them for dining - good is at least as good as many top-rated tourist traps, and you get a far friendlier and chiller setting.
Steak and eggs were wonderful! Seasoned and cooked to perfection! But their red velvet waffles, were a disappointment. It didnt come out at all how it was advertised, it was like they poured the pancake batter in the waffle iron by accident and passed it off as red velvet because it was garnished and glazed with the red velvets toppings.
I come here a lot. Niko and Gunther are great and always treat me well. The food is good and the portions are very sizable. And frose on Sundays! The back patio is a great spot to hang out, and there are heat lamps in the winter time. They also play all Premier League matches on TV so if youre a Liverpool fan like me... this is a good spot for a pint and a match.
I think the food is tasty and the service is consistent. However, the seating is far too limited to invoke the beer garden description. It gets hard to move. Also, we went during the Beer and Pretzel Festival. I wouldnt have called it that. It was more like all day happy hour specials.
Nice beer garden, brought my wife and two little girls. Had to sit at the same table as other patrons, but they were nice. Didnt eat inside, but it looked very nice. Good was good, potato pancakes are really good. Plus and of course... THE BEER IS GREAT. German beer on tap, Schneider Weisse Original.
The place is over rated.Food is super bland. Burgers look good but you can make the same ones at home.Servers look stressed, over worked and non enough staff.Drinks are beyond over priced. They have no crowd control and letting underage people in without being id being showed.
Went here for a few beers on a Saturday afternoon. We didnt have any food. We sat outside in their garden. It was a warm day, but it was nicely shaded so it wasnt unbearably hot. The beer selection was pretty good. It was pretty busy but the servers did a pretty good job.
Loreley is my friends and my go to beer garden. Classic German food and wide selection of beers throughout the year you cant beat. I love that their is always events and specials going on for different holidays. It can get crowded but the wait for a table is never too long. The outside seating area has heat lamps so enjoying a cold beer outside even in the colder weather is a good time.
Authentic German beer garden. Excellent selection of a wide array of some of the best German beers in American. Kitchen is delicious with many traditional German dishes to pair with your beer. They offer upscale cocktails while keeping things reasonable with an affordable happy hour, mon -thur. Great place for catching up with friends and meeting new ones
I always used to think this place was Lonely Beer Garden. But when I led my friends here, one fateful late-January chilly Sunday afternoon. At first, we grabbed beers upfront. Very solid selection, like the Delirium Noel which was vestige of the holiday season. Bartender even let us sample a few.We then learned if we wanted to sit on the epic outdoor patio, we should have bought our drinks out there instead of the bar right by the door. But have you, this was a Sunday afternoon, so they let us bring our drinks out there.Even in the winter this thing was great. It reminded me what I love about New York. We adapt. Despite this being outdoors in 40 degree weather, we were heated up, and amidst a great vibe of garland and January feel. While this was all happening, we couldnt help but notice a peculiarity on the menu, which was the Kranz Kraft. 11, .2oz kolsch beers (not an 11.2 oz one, but that would be sweet too). We decided to give it a shot, despite it not being a prime summer day when ordering many of these with a large group would be pretty good afternoon. We played a drinking game, Harmen Killabrew, and had a very good time.
Went here on a Monday night actually because we were trying to go to Freemans but it was packed. This place ended up being wonderful and definitely a place we will go back. The drinks were fast and a good price (Monday night margaritas at 9$) and the food was very, very good. We had the currywurst, burger, and fish and chips and all of it was fantastic. The best thing we had however was desert, the apfelstrudel which is made in house. Our server, Cynthia, did a fantastic job as well, great service, fast, and friendly. Between the food, drinks, and service, we will definitely be back.
It is a great meet up and hang out spot with friends. After being here more than 5 times, each time we were always checked up on to get our beers refilled and take food orders. I have been there with a couple friends to having a group of more than 8 of us. You do need to close your tab at the bar if you want to transfer to a table.
Cool space with a basement bar and outdoor patio. They had a winter beer festival going on with a nice selection of different German winter beers. There was a long wait for the outdoor space and it would have helped if it mentioned that reservations were accepted and encouraged.

2022-03-26Went on two occasions with friends and definitely loved it! We needed to make reservations to ensure seating, although when I went on st Patricks day you didnt get to pick the area to be seated in, inside or outside. On the outside seating which I did before, you dont hear the music that is played inside. They also have heaters which is great. The drinks are pricey, but good! Loved the strawberry froze. Food was great too! Enjoyed my experience both times when I went!

2022-04-27This weekend my family came up to visit and we walked to the Loreley beer garden. Definitely get a pitcher of beer to share as well as a bunch of different apps.We ordered the wings, nachos, pretzel garlic knots, and burger sliders. Everything was extremely delicious and it was a nice way to spend the afternoon in NYC!

2022-07-09I went there during their rose festival and I admit the decor is very nice and instagrammable. We sat outside, not in the rose garden, and I thought it was still nice.I got the pretty in pink martini and it was okay. Didnt taste as good as I expected. My husband got a draft beer and he seemed to enjoy it. We also got the guacamole and chips. I was nicely surprised by the guacamole, it was actually fresh, and well seasoned. I also liked the chips, they were crispy and the right amount of salty. The service was average. Even though they were really busy, someone was there to check in on us but just not as frequently. At some point, when the night got busier, our service got worse and I know we wouldve ordered more drinks and food if someone was checking in on us more often.Note: In the bar area, the floors are sticky and it feels like a dingy bar but if youre outside or in the garden its really nice.

2022-01-22Food & drinks: 4Staff: 5Environment: 5Interesting German inspired beer garden in lower Manhattan! The sausages and drinks were great, though pricy. The staff was super friendly and they had great interior and exterior decor! They have dividers outdoors to separate different parties for Covid safety, though I think more heaters can be added since it can get pretty cold and the food and drinks cool just as quickly.

2022-06-14This was a cute little place in Brooklyn. Great vibe for just drinks or to grab a bite to eat. I had the Loreley Burger on this trip it was delicious. It offers outdoor and indoor seating. It was packed wall to wall the entire time my party and I were there. I will definitely be back to try some of the German options on the menu!

2022-06-04A cute spot and good eats. We had a table outside and the weather was glorious. The strawberry pecan salad was delish and hit the spot. The service was cordial and inviting. I was rather surprised that the restaurant was cooled well despite the doors were opened into the garden.Note: you do have to prove your age before entering. The cheesecake was a tasty birthday treat. More 🍓🍓

2022-02-07I have been to loreley beer garden a few times now.It is a nicely decorated place and they change their decor according to the season, which is pretty cool.We went for a friend’s birthday once. This was around dinner time and our friend is vegetarian so it was probably bad choice because they don’t have much to offer for vegetarians. The service was very slow that day and the wait staff didn’t come to ask for our order until most of us were ready to leave for another place. This was in early November weeknight so it wasn’t their busiest season. We did give it another chance and went to get hot chocolate on Christmas Eve. Although I was happy that some place was open on Christmas Eve and kudos to the staff for working that night. However, I didn’t really like the spiked hot chocolate as much. It was lukewarm and since it was quite cold outside, I was hoping for something a little more warm when I excitedly went for the hot chocolate. It also didn’t have a candy cane like I saw in other’s pictures. We also got the pretzel which was also fine.

2022-01-04We loved this place! We went on a Monday night and it had plenty of room for seating. The Christmas decor and ambiance was top notch and the staff was super friendly. We tried their Kolch, giant pretzel with cheese, black forest cake, and the Black and White hot chocolate cocktail (our absolute favorite!!). Everything was delicious. Great place to bring a friend for happy hour.

2022-07-03It was a vybe the atmosphere and surroundings were lovely. The staff very attentive. Definitely try the flamingo drink. I forgot what it was called. But it was delicious. The food we didnt really eat but their salads look bomb their pretzels were yummy. The cheese dip good as well and they have a charcuterie board type fruit and cheese thing. I felt it was a little skimpy for the price but the cheeses were good.
