It is a family friendly park. However it is so old and outdated. It basically looks the same as when i was a kid 40+ years ago. It needs a massive makeover as it is an unattractive park that lacks trees, shrubbery, plants and flowers. The park has a nice small playground for kids but it should be expanded.
Best Neighborhood park..Big Park,Hockey, basketball,Big Swings,Small swings, paddleball lots of park to run around..Come take time to visit...Their is no trouble in this park n thats the way the neighborhood wants to keep our Loretto Park..Safe n No Trouble,No Bullys...

2022-07-25I usually will go into this playground to use one of the 5 checker/chess tables as a place to enjoy my morning coffee/buttered roll with my spouse. We have now purchased some inexpensive table covers to offset the not-so-clean tables. The southern part of the playground which is where these tables are also contain decent handball courts, a boccie ball area decent basketball courts as well as swings, shower spray and other child amenities. I see many parents bring their children to this part. There are comfort restrooms here but I am not sure that they are open - when I have used the facilities I found it to be very dirty and not up to par. The northern part of the playground is now under the final stages of renovation and will boast a nice size softball field complete with fenced dugouts as well as small bleachers for spectators, although there doesnt seem to be much protection for right field onlookers against foul balls.

2022-08-22I started coming here because the park by St. Peters has become a local hangour for degenerates. Its great park and it feels safe for children to play

2022-05-22Loreto Playground is an interesting public park for me to visit and hangout since summer 2017.However, suddenly, during the summer of 2018 and 2019, there has been one female adult stranger, in particular, who has been making me feel misunderstood and accused verbally ignorant to me having a problem with me being in the park verbally, forcing me to not be in the park because she thought I was trouble and danger to the kids and and other people when visiting the park.Worse, back in around June 2019, when I was trying to visit the park the second time, I felt heartedly shocked and hurt when that female woman warned me that she was going to call the police if I didnt leave the park immediately, that incident made me question if I ever wanted to visit this park ever again or not.The female stranger and everybody else in the park never knew or cared that, I am a special-need person with autism and mild intellectual disability, which is why most people, nowadays, think I am nothing but deviant or dangerous for nothing.Other than that, Loreto park is really an interesting public park for me to hangout, especially of being into a Little Italy and European neighborhood area. The only thing I dont like, though, is when anybody makes me feel misunderstood, misinterpreted, mistaken and accused as if I am somebody, in any way, whatsoever, hypocritical or felonious for no reason, and then the cops would treat me as nothing but a criminal (which I know in my heart that I am not, and be a bigger and deeper victim of crimes than people without disabilities).

2018-10-11Cool little playground with equipment ranging from basketball courts, to baby swings. Theres generally pretty good parking available, although I usually walk from my apartment. Its honestly one of the few things I will miss about the area when I move. Definitely a nice place in the area for kids to be able to enjoy themselves. It definitely has the community feeling about it and you can feel safe.

2020-03-09This is my neighborhood park that Ive been coming to for 16 years. Lately it has been way overcrowded, filled with rowdy teens and people who think everyone wants to listen to their inappropriate music. It used to be such a nice, family oriented park. I need to find a new park.
