I had to search out employees to help find what I needed, and not one offered me help to load it onto the cart or in/on my car. I was unable to fit what I needed inside my suv I had to go inside and ask 3 different people to even find out where the rope was to use for a tie down and after they showed me they walked away. I had to load 2 sheets of plywood onto the roof of my suv and tie it down by myself while multiple employees walked past me while I struggled. I tried to get their attention to ask for help but was completely ignored. The only thing good was the prices for what I was looking for.
Very good compared to the previous racial years. In Auburn NY it still seems as though some of the associates look at you not as a customer but as a black person. Im still wanting to do all my business with Lowes. But, it is still there which makes me go to Home Depot where they only see me as a customer. As a black American you just have to trust your gut on this.
Ordered a washer and dryer and had it delivered, they get there and say they dont have a kit to put it together. Called up and they said they would look into and call me back, never did. I called the next day and said they didnt have a record of it and tranfered me to the delivery company and they were not any help either. The delivery said it was lowes fault and lowes said it was the delivery company. I realized that all the parts were there and i had to install them myself because they were being lazy or something. I will not go back to this lowes again
One can spend a good deal of time looking for what one needs, especially if someone is not readily available in a section or customer service. The workers assigned to different stations are very helpful, especially in the lumber section where an associate has been cheerfully ready to cut wood when requested. The prices are excellent. The store is well lit. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. Strong blue collar vibe.
Looking at appliances, employee came up to ask if we needed helpWe said someone just bought a stand up freezer for $339 thereDid they have any others?Employee said there were none for sale for $339 so it wasnt purchased there.That was it!From that point on, she was zero assistance.
Indoor Lumber yard needs help. Tags marking wood size/length/price are missing or not where they should be. Really hard to fine what your looking for, had to get a sales rep. to fine correct materials that I needed. Personnel are great help but organization is not a strong point there.
One star is too much for our experience tonight...but had to pick something to leave a review....My husband and I were looking to purchase a new stove. We went to Lowe’s and found one that we were interested in buying. We went & compared prices at Home Depot (where the woman was very helpful and knowledgeable about her department) and found that the price at Lowe’s was indeed cheaper for the same stove. So we went back to Lowe’s to buy the stove we wanted. Not one employee would take the time to come over and help us (either time). Both times we stood around the area where the applicancea were waiting foe someone to acknowledge us. And...NOTHING. There were groups of employees standing around having a good time talking and joking around. There was one person in the immediate area where we were waiting and she walked around, saw me standing there and turned her back. Never once asking if we were being assisted or if we could use her help. Very disappointed and disgusted at the customer service at the auburn location. The manager was made aware of this. Unsure if anything will be said or any change will be made because of this but I will not be spending money at Lowe’s anymore.
Its a crying shame Lowes does not have free shipping on lawn mowers. Went to Auburn store to inspect a Honda 21 self propelled mower with vari-speed. Liked what I saw and inquired about buying online. I was informed that there was NO FREE SHIPPING from LOWEs.Went down the street to Home Depot inspected a Honda mower and inquired about free shipping. YES Home Depot would give me free shipping with online shopping for a Honda Mower.Does it make a difference?LOWES HONDA 21 MOWER SALES=173 UNITS.HOME DEPOT 21 MOWER SALES= 1,986 unitsWAKE UP LOWES ,FREE SHIPPING MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE!!Needless to say Home Depot got my business!
This has been worst experience ever. My delivery was damaged beyond recognition. I lost 300$ in food. Because I was expecting my new fridge. They then said they would have one to me in 2 days. Then that has now been changed yet again and now they have no clue when they will get one to me. 2 children in my home living out of a cooler. This has been the worst exp ever.
Oh the headache of this place!!! Went to them on November 14th 2020 to buy a fridge that the website stated in stock, my fiancé gets there to buy it the CSR states she can’t find it, then calls over a “higher up” and walks away from the whole situation...then the “higher up person states she can’t find it, she’s not sure why it shows in stock, then gives us a line of they had an inventory reset and she doesn’t know why it’s showing in stock.” We offered to buy the floor model of the fridge (being more money than the fridge we ended up purchasing) and was told that we can’t because of the “COVID pandemic” then the woman proceeded to try and find, and basically push us into a fridge (completely different brand and style) she had in stock knowing we needed a fridge because of ours not working at home. They had a fridge in display (as is purchase in with floor models along with one up front also) So we purchase the fridge that wasn’t even wanted, load it up and bring it home. Not even a week after owning it we have a random crack show up in it!!! Part of why I was not a fan of buying any product I do a all around review of products especially at the quality end with spending a large sum of money...anyways so we call the company of the fridge to see what we can do about it and we even emailed them, heard nothing so knowing that the next step they would probably tell us would be contact the retail provider. So we reach out to Lowe’s right around the time that the 30 days is up and we get told we have to basically buy another fridge to get a fridge delivered to our house. And then maybe we will get our money back!! I mean from the day we walked in the door there to make this purchase we should have walked out!!! Horrible!! Then when on the phone this afternoon about the situation I get told in a “polite manager way” that’s not what I have here as in your lying and with a nice touch of attitude...😒 I get told the same thing that there is nothing we can do and you can repurchase a fridge and then have it delivered...because I forgot everyone has 1200$ just laying around right?!?
Couldnt find 1/2 what looking for. When finally found an associate he just kept poking on his phone, didnt acknowledge us n after repeated requests with no response he finally said ,without looking @ us, what we asked for wasnt in his dept. We found the one item 10ft from where he was standing.
Store refused to honor online advertised price from Lowes website. Advised me to contact Lowes corporate who at first said the advertised price was an error, and would be removed from website. Then another associate told me that although she didnt know what the product was, they were sold out in my area and I could not have it shipped. I spent over 20k dollars at Lowes last year, you would think they would want to keep my business over a few hundred dollars, and not give me the run around.
I spent 1 hr in Lowe’s looking for a water filter system for the house... found the filtration system that I wanted... using PVC piping do you think I could find the fittings that I need.... NOPE.... I think the Worst thing . Was all the workers and not one person came down to PVC Isle in 30 minutes... Needed 4 Connecting pieces found one .... Had to take it up to the checkout line to see if there was any more .... No sir .... well that’s not gonna work I need 4.... How hard is it for a person to walk by somebody and ask are you finding everything OK? Or when you do find somebody they send you to the wrong aisle....signedHeading across town
Usually when I go to Lowes in Auburn I have a great experience. Good prices and great customer service. However today my sister and I visited Lowes and we were very disappointed by the cashier Kayla who waited on us. First of all she left us waiting there while she decided it was time to put up her hair. Then without a word, not a hi or a how are you or a smile, she proceeded to check us out. She did not hand me my receipt but left it on the counter and did not even bag any of my purchases. My sister noticed she had laid my receipt on the counter. I said it would have been nice if she would have handed this to me. Kayla then proceeded to argue with me saying I was distracted and that is why she did not hand it to me. This is totally unacceptable behavior. I hope she is not a deterrent to future customers by treating them with this type of attitude. I will continue to patronize Lowes however will never give Kayla the opportunity to treat me with such disrespect and disregard in the future.
Very disappointed with online order pick up staff. Had to wait 30 minutes while they looked for my order, which was right behind them in the cage the entire time. The young man that started to wait on me walked away to help someone else & then some woman went looking for my order & then disapoeared for a while. I was just left standing there. Was about to walk out when a third person came, looked in cage & found my order right there in the front.
Lowes has a good selection, good prices and a helpful staff. I rarely go looking for something without finding it there, and anything I cant find is readily available online. I generally prefer Lowes over its competitors, for the simple reason that the store is laid out in a way that usually makes sense. That said, I am sometimes confused by which things are in plumbing and which things are in bathroom.
Auburn, NY Lowes has gone downhill big time. MESSY, DISORGANIZED, nobody knows anything. Really cant stand going in there anymore. In contact, Home Depot has revamped and redesigned their look and is more organized. I used to have the depot and loved Lowes, now its the other way around. Sign of POOR MANAGEMENT.
I do a lot of business there the best home improvement store. No matter what anyone says about Home Improvement and everything else they do they are top-notch best all around chain store never say it enough good things about Lowes I literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars there and Ive had my differences and of course nothings perfect but they are Simply the Best they can be
I would love to give this store 0 stars... its been one issue after another and all centered around customer service. We ordered a fridge and dishwasher during the memorial day sale. We understood there were delays and other concerns, however, the Auburn NY store really jerked us around. The fridge was due from Syracuse, NY and the dishwasher on the same order was due from Auburn, NY. We received phone calls and emails stating their delivery date was on Tuesday 5/26. The call confirmed even more details, delivery time frame for the dishwasher 10 am - 2pm on 5/26. Well Tuesday and Wednesday passed without our dishwasher. We had an issue with the fridge delivery but that was an issue on our end, not the Syracuse store and we ended up returning it on Tuesday. After numerous calls to the Auburn location on Tuesday after 2 PM when the dishwasher should have arrived by, the store redirected our calls countless times. We ended up in a cyclical loop of endlessly selecting our option to speak with the delivery department and being put on hold with no response until our call got automatically ended by their system. When we did get through on both Tuesday and Wednesday they claimed our order was not being fulfilled by them and to contact syracuse. Each time we contacted syracuse they said it was definitely being filled by Auburn and helped us as best as they could, even calling Auburn on our behalf. By Thursday around noon we finally got through to a manager named Jennifer at Auburn who then claimed delivery dates are not guaranteed and that the dishwasher could possibly be delivered by that afternoon but they would absolutely confirm by phone call for sure. Hours passed and no call. We gave up and were determined to go to the store on Friday to complain. At 5:45, the dishwasher showed up to our house without any notice. All we wanted was some sort of communication but the Auburn location utterly failed at this. If we continue doing business with Lowes in the future, it certainly will never be through Auburn. Poor management and poor communication obviously stemming from poor managers on the team, like that Jennifer. Simply disappointed.
I stopped in today Friday, July 24, 2020 at 5 Pm for paint and supplies. There were 2 employees in the paint department wearing masks with their noses exposed. When I commented, the young man responded, “I have to breathe!” I explained of the seriousness of covering nose and mouth and it wasn’t received well.I am immune compromised and was quite alarmed. I arrived home and checked local news. Alas, a Lowe’s employee tested positive for COVID-19!!!!!
Not enough associates. Trying to find someone to help was near impossible. Flooring guy had little understanding of under floor heating system that they sell! Clearance display in a main aisle of store had a number of overhead door units on display with NO PRICE SHOWN. Waited 10 minutes to find someone to be told it is not on sale. Regular price .... amongst many reduced items and preprinted oversize signage clearly marked CLEARANCE!
If you are looking to redo your kitchen or any other major home renovation do not use Lowe’s, their third party contractors are awful and the entire process is a disaster. The only redeeming quality of the entire experience was Deb who was the only one that provided any sort of customer service. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from a major headache, utilize a local business.. I wish we did.
The store has been in this location for several years. Wide variety of nursery, household appliances, lighting, seasonal, tools, hardware type store. Not great for lumber. Pricing is comparable to Home Depot and other box stores. What I found is it is tough to find a sales person whenever I need assistance in the store and during busy times, it is a slow go to check out of the store. Staff didnt seem to be well educated in the items they sell .This is a downer for me thi shop here .
Absolutely joke. Tried to replace a table saw I bought a year ago and after speaking with one guy on the phone saying bring it in theyll replace it. The counter girl informs me i have to call the manufacturer and get a RA number, which is something completely different than what I was told. Managaer wouldnt come talk to me get it sorted out. Never had these problems there before returning broken tools UNDER FACOTRY AND EXTENDED WARRENTY. Straight joke
The associates were very helpful with finding my specific tool. At first, just entering the associated were super cavillier and lackadaisical, but it was when we got to the paint section that we found two very helpful associates. I was accompanying a senior and he wasnt always watching were he was going, so taking that into account, the service was fine.
If you havent spent too much money at Lowes during quarantine, then you did it wrong and your home & yard (and neighbors) should yell at you for being lazy... unless, of course, you were laid off, in which case you should try and pick up a job at Lowes -- even if its not your thing, to lock in that employee discount, until you get the job you want.
We purchased a range from Lowe’s on 05/24/16 with the 3 year extended warranty, after 3 hours making phone calls including the corporate office with no one being able to help since the oven has stopped working we are extremely disappointed in the customer service , I decided to call Frigidaire ( brand of oven) and they were very helpful with what they could do as a company Lowe’s needs to remember they need their customers and even the smallest gesture goes along way. Very unhappy with their service, was constantly told warranty expired so there was not anything they could do, the warranty is not extended it runs with the manufacturers 1year so you actually only get 2 years out of a 3 year extended warranty.
For all your home improvement needs. Easy to find location, huge parking lot(free) and totally handicap accessible. Very helpful in finding exactly what you need for all home improvement projects, including barbecuing and gardening supplies and furniture. Also right next to Walmart for all your grocery or in home needs.
Update:Replacing 12x12 patio blocks was on my summer project list. A few weeks ago I went to Lowes in Auburn and the 12x12 blocks were $1.88 each so decided that when I wanted to tackle this project I would go with the 7.7x15 for $1.48 and would need less blocks and cost .40 less for each. Went to Auburn Lowes on 8/28 (the backend of my Hinda CRv was full) and asked if I came back the next day if someone would load the blocks in my car for me. Yes, they would. Went back up this morning and since they havent had the garden department gate unlocked, walked inside and all the way back to the blocks. To my surprise the 12x12 blocks were marked down fro. $1.88 each to 5 blocks for $5.00! Yahoo! So, I could actually replace the same size blocks out. Couldnt find anyone at first, then heard someone over in the far corner. David. Yes, they just went on sale this morning. Told me (with a smile) that he would load them into my SUV once I brought the receipt back. 40 blocks =$40 plus tax! I pull around to the side, Anna opened the gate, and David brought out the blocks on a skidder. There were two Davids unloading the 40 blocks for me carefully into the back of my SUV. They (David, David and Anna) were so helpful and friendly! So many places I frequently do business with, the Customer Service stinks! Not today, not at this Lowes. If you shop at this store regularly you know how rude a lot of the cashiers can be. Certainly something wrong with the culture of the staff in this store. Even called the store manager to give him some feedback but got a minimal response from him and no questions or apologies from him in return. This will be a last resort kind of place for me.
These people go WAY above and beyond to help you, especially one of the managers...Penny. She helped find a box for an abandoned Valentines Day bear plushie that was thrown in the trash so he could be rescued and sent to a good home after he was cleaned up. She didnt have to help but she did out of the kindness of her heart. There truly needs to be more people in the world like her! 💖💖💖
Went to get a toilet and ended up getting a freezer also …. the people working in the appliance center put my order through and supposedly it didnt go through so they did it again a few more times … now my lowes card is stating no credit for purchase … after an hour and half and them calling the credit card company and fixing their mistake and us almost walking out we finished our order ……. not apologies or anything for the inconvenience they caused us .. making my kids and grandkids to sit outside waiting for us to get home and dinner being later than it is suppose to be ….
Went to the auburn branching a Sunday wich showed the dryer I needed in stock, and it was not. Was told by the woman who checked me out that it would be delivered Wednesday. I received a call from the delivery service saying it was scheduled for thanksgiving and they don’t do deliver then(then why schedule it then to begin with duh?)also the pedestal was on a separate work order. Told me I would receive a call from the Auburn branch to sort out the delivery details. Never received a call, called the auburn branch and not a single human could answer a phone in any dept. called customer service again and now they’re telling me a date of the 30th. seems as though no one is on the same page. Should have went to Home Depot and bought one in stock. Less than useless customer service
Been doing business here for 20 years and spend a lot of money here, the last 3 times I bought a paint which had a REBATE offering I got a rejection form LOwes Rebate Center saying it did not qualify ! ? Thats after being advised by the paint department rep of the offering and seeing the sign hanging 2 inches from the paint can on the shelf. OKay boys~ Im going to Home Depot, I had enough of the flim- flams.
First went to the garden area and had some questions on landscaping, no one there that could or wanted to help so I went on to the millwork area to price out a new bay window for the front of my house, I was again told that the person I asked that was in that department didnt know how to price windows and that they were short handed, again no one to help me. I will continue to shop Lowes for small items but I will no longer consider this store a destination for any major purchases or projects. I would estimate my landscaping and window purchase would have been in the $4,000 to $5,000 range, the service in this location has progressively worsened in the last several months. I will make my window purchase and landscape purchase at local businesses, I may pay a little more but I will no longer have to beg someone to wait on me, very dissatisfied.
Very unprofessional. Went there for a interview and overheard I would assume one of the managers say the n word. I dont kno if they were trying to stop me from getting a job by doing this but it was very disturbing that I didnt even work there and had to hear that. Especially since I was informed that an employee was just fired for saying the same thing
I called and pleaced an order. I told them to have it ready by 11. At 11:15 when I was running late I called them to tell them that I was running late and they assured me that my order was ready. When I arrived at 11:30 they did not know where my order was. After multiple calls around the store to other employees they finally figured out where my order was. Some was in the front of the store and some I had to pick up in the back of the store. My Hope was to drive up have it loaded and then leave. Instead at 1, I finally left the store. An hour and a half after they assured me was going to be ready. This is not my first experience doing this. I order items for my work from other locations as well. It is always this way. We have since stopped ordering from those locations at work.
There is always a fight between stores. In Aurburn we have Harbour Freight & Lows. I must say that on many itoms Lows is much cheepier for the same itoms. Ex. Sheds. So price check the itoms before you buy. Sometimes it is worth going a little further to get what you want.

2022-04-24Plenty to like. Gardening section has many plants and accoutrements to help with them as well as helpful staff. Hardware, cleaning supplies, lumber, plumbing, electrical, tools, appliances. Often seems to rely on self-checkout to the point that cashiers dont seem fully competent. Lately seems like more folks are around to help you out who are knowledgeable and willing to assist.

2022-03-04Bought a vanity last night, got it home and its damaged...by the looks of it they picked it up with a forklift and stabbed it...called them today and they wont take any money off of it cause it was a on sale item (sold as is...) said I could bring it back and exchange it but I live an hour away and its not worth the gas to drive all the way back there...asked them if they could transfer one to a store closer to me and they said I have to order it online and exchange it at the store when it gets there...I wouldve been happy with a gift card for the damage to the item I bought...says right on the box DO NOT USE FORKLIFT!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡

2022-04-151st time we went we were buying a Dryer and nobody would come to help us. 2nd time we went waited at checkout for 20 mins so we left. 3rd time was tonight had over $300. Dollars worth of supplies and once again waited at checkout, so we went to customer service and ask if anyone was working the registers and there were 3 people there and gave us an attitude. From now on we will go to Home Depot at least they respect the thier customers. Lowes sucks.

2022-05-19Ordered a shelf which arrived incomplete. They picked it up 2 days later and nine days after I still have not received a refund. Customer service is a joke; they transfer you several times and then hang up on you. Not doing business here anymore.

2022-03-03Absolutely a horrible store to shop. Disgruntled employees are miserable to deal with and I resent being taught how to operate the register so I can check myself out. I will pay more and shop a smaller retailer to avoid the misery of being in this toxic environment ever again. Lowes you lost my business for good.

2021-12-01Found what I needed and more. was asked if I needed help by a staff member wish I could remember his name. he was so nice. check was quick and this staff person was very nice as well. I truly believe a staff member can break or make a sale by their actions.

2021-11-04Call me crazy maybe Im the only one but its like a needle in a hay stack when trying to find a specific thing. They have some things all over not in a good place. But most is decent organized. As with everywhere prices are going up. If you are in the market for a wood or pellet stove they moved all parts/ pieces outside towards garden center it is all covered and heated but heads up didnt know myself looked all over the place before finally found someone to help with location.

2020-10-29If anyone finds a store less helpful than this one please let me know because I dont believe its possible. Employees are rare to come by and managers are even less scarce. Horrible customer service. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and drive to the other part of town to the Home Depot.
