Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Great prices and there is someone there when I need help. Sometimes they dont have what I want. I recently bought a whirlpool dishwasher but they did not sell the whirlpool hoses and electric cord. When I buy a product I expect them to carry the accessories for the item. I do have to give them credit though they do carry a cheap knockoff product instead. But it is not to the specs of whirlpool. Also if I bought the dish washer from someone that specializes in a product they would service the product themselves instead of using a third party.
I went to Lowes to purchase mold cleaner. I couldn’t find it!!! So I asked an associate for assistance he was wonderful… very helpful. A little tip there was none left on the shelf I never thought to look all the way at the top of the shelving, well he did and there was an unopened box of the cleaner. They climbed up and retrieved the item. One of the nicest person I meet since this whole Covid bs. Thank you very much!!! I apologize for not remembering your name . A good person who put sunshine into my day.
Went to canandaigua location . The guys in hardware were extremely helpful, although it took 2 times to finally figure it out .The first time I showed a pic of the screw and they thought a packet of screwdrivers would work . It didnt but I called spoke to someone and asked if I could bring the piece in . Since I couldnt remove the screw , nor screw it in.The 2nd set of guys were what helped . I was able to buy the exact screwdriver he used and he tighten all the screws for me .Thank you lowes
I love this place its helped me and my family when we needed, filters , and odds and end things. Its an amazing place. I love the customer service. They are friendly and polite. I never have to wait to get help. I find everything pertaining to yard, and in home supplys. But dont take my word, why dont you go check it out for yourself. Its worth a shot, youll see how it is the best store.
I cant say enough about lowes employees. Flooring, plumbing, appliance, lighting, kitchen design. The customer service desk are all super helpful and great service! Great variety of products. Prices are good as they can be with last two years of various. . The flooring contractor we ended up with was awesome. Thank you Lowes for all your help and great service.
I went into the canandaigua Lowes with a craftsman weed bush Wacker that I purchased last summer and used twice. I went to start it this year and it would not start. 3 people tried without success.Instead of replacing the item they made.me leave it with the possibility of repair charges up to 120.!! The assistant was extremely rude and when I was totally frustrated I advised the assistant that this was the last time I would buy anything from lowes. Her response was thats fine if she worked for.my company she would have been looking for.jew employment. You do not talk to customers in such a rude Nd demeaning more. This occurred noonday August 23 2021 at approximately 1pm.
This place is the worst.....overcharged my wife $500 bucks and we had to wait for the credit to be refunded. Finding help is always a pain in the rear....bought and paid for a vanity on a Saturday for me to pick up the following monday. Went in on Monday and the vanity was still not pulled from the shelves. Bought 3 vanity knobs, grabbed them from the corresponding drawer. Looked in the bag when I got in my truck and all 3 of them were different. I only shop there when my local hardware store is out of something. The paint folks are great but overall Lowes in my town is horrible.
The store was really clean. Everyone was wearing a mask. The woman that ran the register was really nice. So was the guy in appliances. I need to replace the hose and vent for my parents dryer. They had a kit that included everything. I also got a roll of flex seal tape to finish the job. Was a great experience. And yes, I was successful at the hose replacement as well.
They are a little bit more expensive on many items compared to Home Depot. Thats okay with me, because the selection is different and sometimes I can pick up exactly what I need when Home Depot was out. I also shop at Wegmans Perinton, so its an easy add-on for weekly food shopping. The store seems to be reasonably well organized, though I rarely find the level of expertise that is pretty common at Home Depot.
Went to Lowes to buy microwave. Brought it home, undid all the packaging & one corner was crushed. You couldnt tell from the packaging. Brought it back & they happily, no questions asked, they returned it & gave us a new one. The service people also unwrapped it to make sure it wasnt dented.
While these box stores get a reputation for associates that do not have sufficient product knowledge, I think this location has improved over the years. While I have experienced some less that perfect transactions over the years, it does seem that things have improved. I was shopping for a new table saw and when the associate asked if I had any questions, I thought this would be less then helpful. I was wrong. The assocaite, Ron, was well versed in every model I was looking at. His information actually gave me the confidence that I was getting what I thought I was getting. And another well versed associate, Jeff, handled opening up a Lowes account and thereby getting a discount on the already sale price. My entire experience was a good one.
Got to give it a 5 star this time the guy helped us out so much our dish washer died today we called they had a new one ready for us the next day and the guys that helped us went out of his way a bit more the other employees that I had to deal with in the past to make sure I had everything I was looking for
We went to go get a new stove and microwave... we stood around in appliances for a long time. There were no employees around at all so we called the store on our cell phone and asked for help but still had to wait a long time. Finally someone comes back but helps another couple that just showed up a few minutes before us. So we had to wait around until they called for assistance. We were then told the stove we wanted was stuck in the Suez canal and MIGHT be in May 9th. 🙄 🤷♀️
I went looking for the perfect birthday present for my husband. I was greeted by the nicest guy named Nick with long hair who helped me pick the perfect gift. Even at one point I had Megan Andrew chuck and Chris also helping me figure out a price on a product that was not marked. The endless caring help from Lowe’s employees especially Nick to each customer is so genuine. I always feel like their attention is total focused on my questions and helping me get the best product available at a reasonable price. Nick went way above and beyond today for me and I really couldn’t of thanked him enough!! I was his first customer who changed their mind 10 times, and Nick just always smiled and continued to make my shopping trip truly an amazing experience and birthday gift for my husband!!! So thank you nick and all fellow Lowe’s employees !!! Thank you for making my husbands 42nd birthday the cook out of the century!!! I will definitely be back for more grilling gear!!
I have had numerous difficulties with customer service at the Lowes at this location. Issues with employees not helping me find product to employees telling me to wait for service. Todays visit was not bad as an employee walked me to product but could not answer the questions I had do to his being in another department. Lowes needs to pick up on their training & get back to some old school philosophy. I like getting some of my farm products there, but always think twice.
We had a very difficult time locating our order but Sylvia at customer service saved the day & the project. Not only was there a delay in getting lumber, understandably due to Covid 19, but our order seemed to be lost in the system. Sylvias sleuthing found it and even arranged for timely delivery. She made hot & stressful day turn out awesomely. Thank you Sylvia & delivery folks.
Good home improvement store. The offer a 10% veterans discount. Good prices Lumber kitchens baths anything you can think of and more are available. Ive done a number of projects its got some displays great ideas for Home Improvement. I like them a lot better than some of the competitors like Walmart or Home Depot. Staff will help you if you need it and if you dont need it they leave you alone.
I have had two incredibly bad experiences. The first being given information by sales staff that was not true. I was lied to because the associate didnt know what to tell me.The second was a special order that took longer then the estimated time. I added two weeks to my installation and they still couldnt get it ordered on time. This is after waiting around for a long time just to speak to someone in flooring. I called and Kyle was supposed to get back to me and never did. I made a purchase somewhere else that is not Loews and wont waste anymore time there. I also list time out of work. The experience was exhausting and aggravating. I will be going to Home Depot or an actual stone warehouse in the future. Loews is actually what the name suggests low help without the e.
Lowes appears to expect customers to understand their internal operations. This means purchasing an appliance means negotiating the sales and delivery arms of the company because it appears that they dont talk to one another. This store has also quietly canceled installations without informing us. When no one showed up to install a disposer, we had to call several times to find out what happened. Eventually we found a third-party installer to install the disposer.
Website is always showing things that the store does not carry. Asking employees for help and every time get someone with some attitude like they hate the place. Tried multiple Lowe’s stores for certain electric parts and shelves have been empty. Home Depot place to go
I just wanted to extend my appreciation to the staff for their service in resolving my recent issue. I ordered a 20 extension ladder in early July, and it arrived damaged. Rather than make me wait another month for a replacement, they gave me a refund, and offered me an excellent deal on a 24 replacement they already had on the shelf. I got a better ladder for less, and Im very satisfied with their service. Many thanks.
FRAUD.....3 months no call from manager Adam.Duplicate order from Hornell charged by Canandagua over 3 months ago still not completley Refunded!$132.78 still Fraudulently obtained for no products or services received. Not yet refunded.$2191.28 part of the duplicate order was refunded on Jan.4 2021.My nightmare:I recieved a phone call fromLowes Canandaigua delivery driver in December, stating they were coming to deliver my Refrigerator. I explained that my Refrigerator that I ordered inside the Hornell Lowes store was already delivered. The gentleman laughed and said okay, hes not on his way.Canandagua still billed me! It was marked delivered! After arguing with Canandagua they finally credited my account for the fridge.I am still being charged for the other half of my Hornell purchase that was duplicated in Canandagua.???No refund for the Fraudulently charged $132.78 as of 3 months +.Watch your bill. This will be rectified.
Our stove was no longer functional, so we purchased a replacement at Lowes in Canandaigua. Like anyone in this situation, it was very important to us that this appliance was delivered in a timely fashion. When the stove arrived 4 days later, it had been severely damaged- the delivery personnel told us this happened when it was being loaded in the warehouse. The stove was not usable. We requested Lowes replace it as quickly as possible, and were told it would take another 4 - 5 days. That time period elapsed and we had heard nothing from Lowes regarding the replacement. So I called the Lowes in Canandaigua several times to find out what had become of our new stove, and no one answered- the phone just rang. I literally called three times and let the phone ring, and no one answered. So I had to drive to this store an ask in person where our stove was. When I did, I was informed that while the severely damaged stove had been returned to the warehouse, a replacement stove had not been ordered and was not available. I was told I was simply out of luck, and my only option was to start the whole process over again. There was no real attempt by Lowes of Canandaigua to make this right, so we said no thanks. Despite the fact that its a longer drive, well be getting our new stove from Home Depot in Victor instead.
Very disappointed with most of the service at this lowes I was looking to purchase a sliding glass door was checking them over thinking soon someone would come help me I looked at door and other things in the area for over 25 minutes finally tra led down a store worker that new nothing about the area or the doors said someone else could help but they wont be there for ten minutes I said ok I will go pick out a few other things I need and come back so I did just that went back to stand and wait for another 20 minutes eventually pushed an assistants button and finally someone else came back that knew nothing as well was looking to spend quite a bit of money at this store but couldnt and probably wont in the future
I would like to share my experience at this kind of decor location. I have a business that recently purchased a washer and dryer for me and they sent a check into Lowe’s and more and less the communication of this Lowe’s was second to none more and less not really good. I have never had this bad of an experience with Customer Service trying to get a washer and dryer. The thing of it is that makes it worse is that the employees say that they called me but they didn’t and farther they called me a liar. So that shows me that they were trying to cover up that they tried to call me. But overall generally when I walk into the store it is clean and cleanly and generally most of the employees at the store are willing to help and generally you can find what you want I just would not recommend having your company send a check into Lowe’s because apparently them remembering or knowing who you are goes out the window apparently and then you have a lot of explaining to do with the higher up of everyone and it is more in the last E blank mess you can fill in that blank. But overall would I recommend those logos to anyone yes it’s a OK place to go long as you go into the store yourself and pick up exactly what you want take it to the cash register pay and get out either than that do as less as you possibly can because apparently they get easily confused. Thank you for reading this review hopefully this helps you out and hopefully this doesn’t discourage you to going to this location it’s just been a day of frustration and I least gave them a three out of five I still recommend going there for items that you need.
Drove over 40 miles to purchase 2 sheets of PT plywood after website said they had 33 sheets in stock. Got to store and couldn’t find the plywood so I asked an associate for help. He located the plywood but said he couldn’t sell it to me because it was set aside for someone else. I asked why the inventory showed 33 sheets and he said that it wasn’t paid for yet. I asked for a manager and get the same story. So the new practice should be to just call Lowe’s and have them set aside any product you want and then shop elsewhere. Bad practice when someone is in the store ready to pay and the inventory showed they have it but won’t sell it to you.
After not being approached by employees that walked past me without offering help, I found the area I wanted. I did not find what I wanted and left the store empty handed.I worked at this Lowes location for six years and in retail for another 30 years. We were taught to approach customers and ask if they needed assistance. Now, the customer has to approach the employees, who are to busy talking to one another to be bothered approaching a customer. In no way is this an isolated incident. I have encountered the same attitude in many other stores. The larger the business, the worse the service has become.I wont return to any of your locations. I will get what I want from Amazon or another internet source. Keep up the low effort customer service attitude and you wont have to worry about these types of responses. The above one star rating is only because this lousy site wont let me post without at least a one star rating. Not a bad idea, as this will help with your customer service average rating.
Over the weekend people were asking for recommendations on Facebook on where to purchase mulch for their gardens, one Lowe’s employee (Nickalis Bassett) was extremely rude and attempting to steer everybody who commented away from purchasing from Lowe’s, making comments about how mulch is “non essential” and people need to stay away. To me this is extremely bad customer service. No matter the times, you’d think people (especially the workers) would want to promote a business rather than turn people away. He even went as far as saying “if you don’t have mulch in your yard you aren’t going to die” this led to many people wondering where he worked at and people even making comments saying they would not be purchasing items from Lowe’s. Customer service is key and this is the last person I’d want working at my business.
Ive been happy with this Lowes until now. We scheduled a very simple carpet install for a rectangular bedroom and it has gone wrong in pretty much every way possible. I will never use Lowes for an installation service again. They are great if you need some paint or are just picking something up from the store, but with an installed service there is another Lowes division involved (installation services) as well as independent contractors to measure the floor and yet another to install it. When something goes wrong they cant sort out whose fault it is or where it went wrong. Also nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone or to call me back. Im waiting for new carpet to be ordered so well see if it turns out right... my advice- go to a flooring professional that you can hold accountable if something goes wrong.
We are planning do-over in our kitchen and spent over two hours in the kitchen design department in the Canandaigua store. We are very satisfied with our experience so far. I might have given a fourth or fifth star but the installer of a new bathroom vanity/sink hasnt contacted us after nearly two weeks, very disappointing. Im upgrading my rating after working with the kitchen designer (Don) who gets two thumbs up, way up, for Excellence.
Great experience as usual with Lowes. This visit we had a slightly complicated that an associate from faucets area helped us with in appliances area. He helped us get out freezer purchased, locate the faucet we wanted which was nearly at the opposite end of the store. We had a few other items too, he then went to the front end to complete the purchase as we wanted our purchase transaction all on one to allow for our 18 month purchase promotion. One associate said one system wasnt working so doing so would complicate it, this all why the young man was past his time going on lunch break. He was kind, friendly, professional, kept smiling and helping us. Never once showing frustration or anger that he still hadnt had his lunch. Love the Canandaigua Lowes. Always great!
Waited 45 minutes for help to purchase a grill.. instead of the person calling for help she was juggling 3customers.. when she finally got to us she said she didnt have a grill assembled, we have to wait till tomorrow.. we said fine well take the box she told us it would be 15 minutes before the box would get to us..we left without a grill
I arrived at 9:45 PM the store does close at 10pm, I went straight to the department to get what I needed. Lets face it nobody wants to mess around with plumbing last minute anyways and I understand people would like to leave work on time. So I get a piece of pipe that I needed cut as 2 employees approach me 1 says can I help you? I say yes please can I have this cut? Employee responds with a attitude well you have to buy the hole piece witch I replied I understand and ask again can you cut it. Again with a attitude he says I guess we are closing. After that comment clearly I was bothering him at his job of witch is customer service and Im paying for a service and the store is still with in business hours. I can not believe this guy was so rude and nasty. Maybe the real reason for his rudeness was racism as I also had a little child with me who happened to be black. I will definitely be writing a formal complaint.
Super sketchy rebate practices. Was offered rebate, handed special rebate receipt. When I got home, I realized the rebate receipt did not contain the rebate number which is required for the rebate. In addition to this fraudulent practice, the rebate FAQs contain intentionally blurry receipts so you cant tell where the information is supposed to be located on your receipt. I spent way too much time applying for a $5 rebate. Thanks, sketchballs. Ill be shopping at ACE and Runnings from now on.
The lighting manager helped me get the proper bulbs for a recently purchased bath fan/light fixture. After receiving no satisfaction from call to manufacturer, this manager took upon himself to resolve the issue, not enough bulbs, for this fixture. That took special commitment, and I think the employee and this Canandaigua Lowes should be recognized.
Im not inpressed with the Lowes in Canandaigua NY.Last year I bought a Troy Built lawn tractor, and we got the run around, because nobody seemto know what they were doing.I got the tractor home used it the rest of the summer. This year I used it most of the summer,I had trouble with it, gas was running into the oil.I called Lowes to find out where to take it to have it fixed because it was under warranty. The guy on the phone said, if it wasnt to serious they probably could fix it at the store. So we took it to the store, and was told that they Dont work on anything there. They would have to send it to Rochester.Three weeks later we got a call from the place they sent it to and was told what was wrong with it.It had a warped gas tank and bad gaskets that did damaged the carborator. We were also told, that none of that was covered by the warranty.I agree to have it fixed anyway. Two weeks later we got a phone call saying the tractor was fixed and ready to be picked up at the Lowes in Canandaigua. We went to the store to pick it up and got the run around again. We where told on the phone to go customer service, so we did.Customer service told us to go pick up.After 45 minutes Not being able to fine it they told us to go back to customer service.Customer service was finally able to find it and we paid for it.Customer service refused to give us a copy of the work that was done. She said it would be on the receipt and it is not.Im really dissatisfied with your service, and feel like I was being lied to, if a employee says one thing and other employee says something else, someone is lieing.I will never buy another lawn tractor from Lowes and I will tell everyone that I know shop somewhere else.
Weve have a lot of home-improvement projects going at any given time and Lowes in Canandaigua is our closest and most convenient place to get the materials. Weve always had positive experiences with the staff there, and I love how we get 5% off every day on all purchases just by using our Lowes card.
Can usually find most tools Im looking for here, but hardware is a little lacking. Having a specialty parts section in each Dept. would be nice. Having to go to Runnings or HD has happened too often. Subject matter experts should wear different vests or something to stand out. Been given the wrong info a couple of times. 4 of 5 for convenience.
Dont ever contract Lowes to put up a fence! I signed my contract on July 2 the fence was never put up until...wait for it....October 8th.First I was told there would be a delay because they lost sub-contractors. Then they would not call my local municipality with insurance info for the install. Lowes installation support was in Indiana and they are worthless. When you did speak to them they were clueless. After awhile, they just never returned our calls. The last week of August Lowes delivered out lumber and supplies for the fence. We thought we were on the way to getting a fence. The lumber and concrete sat there in the elements for weeks until the concrete was hard and the lumber was warped. Once again tried to get the Finallyproject specialist no reply. Finally we called the sales rep that sold us the fence. He was in utter disbelief that it had not been installed yet. He finally got the ball rolling again and, even he couldnt get ahold of our project specialist in Indiana. Lowes had to eat the cost of the lumber and concrete that was dropped off in August. Oh sure, the store manager called to apologize but only after we threatened the Better Business Bureau and legal action. BEWARE OF LOWES INSTALLATION SERVICES!
Yeah, well...where to start? Just moved to the area..purchased all of our appliances here. With installation. Not ONE delivery was on time or even within the 2 hour window they provide. On one occasion they showed up an HOUR early while we were still MOVING!! Then got pissy about it with us. We purchased our stove on the 6th of the month, it is now the 20th and it still has not been installed. Had to cancel the installer at Lowes and go with an independent just so we can cook food in our house again. Meanwhile, it has been costing us $50 a day or more to eat out. I expect service at a store like this, whether its a $5 bag of screws or $10000 in appliances. This has been nothing but a horror show. Our hometown Lowes was much more on the ball than this one. It has been one thing after another. Even the service desk has been rude on returns. Sorry Lowes you have lost me as a customer.

2022-07-01There is a reason why home Depot is number one in revenue and sales thats because they actually take the time for customer service. All I wanted to do was to switch out a pull trimmer that was defective and would not extend and after I have returned it and I asked so can I just go grab another one and exchange it no you have to go back up and purchase another one again I said well my wife has the Lowes card sorry theres nothing I can do with her answer so now I will make three trips to Lowes just do a choir a fully functioning pole trimmer

2022-06-09I left the store a few years ago in protest of the incompetent, unprofessional, nasty people who didnt want to be there ( employees) if you will. I recently came back to see if things had changed, I ran into ALot of nice people & complimented the manager on those individuals & gave them phrase. I had a return recently and went to the customer service department where two employees were there with no customers. As I approached them, one named Natasha who basically ignored me & decided she was going to converse with a co worker instead. I waited about a minute & asked her if I could return my item. She snapped at me and said she was speaking to someone & I said, the customer should come first. She continued to ignore me. I asked for the manager Adam, Who never came to resolve the situation or returned my phone calls. Shame on me for giving them another chance. Now Ill wait until they get someone who knows how to run a store before I step foot in there again.

2022-05-04The staff at Canadaigua was incredibly helpful. We rented the Lowes pickup. We had 1200 pounds of raised garden soil and mulch loaded into it. The got home unloaded then went to Macedon Lowes and loaded sixteen 2x10x10 and bracket hardware. There at Macedon an employee helped me load the cart, then he took it up front and waited for me to get up there and two Lowes employees loaded the truck. They all were so helpful.

2022-06-22Its nice to have the veterans discount. I have saved a lot of money over the years. Thanks Lowes ! Update!!! Lowes has stopped the Veterans discount on lumber, wire, appliances and other things. So Im starting to buy things at more local places. I will definitely be buying my large appliances at Riesters in Auburn NY.

2022-01-08We were helped by Jason and Trevor for our bathroom renovations and they (and the whole store) were wonderful. They were right there to help, stayed with us while we looked for multiple products, and explained why certain products would be better for our needs. On top of that they were good natured and genuinely fun to be around. Thank you for a great experience!

2022-06-20Multiple times have the inventory system has been way off 47 in stock on both online and employee inventory, 8 on shelf, 403 in stock not even 30 on shelf. Just a waste of gas at this point to go to a Lowes.
