Let me just say...FREE PARKING!!!! My wife and I were shocked that you could take one spot and just walk right in. I asked the nice old man in the front, Do you usually have free parking like this or is it just seasonal? He said What the hell are you talking about? And I said you know, the parking lot in the front? And he goes whatre you psycho? sigh... Thanks Lowes, I needed to hear that.
Bad service for curbside pickup .I placed an order online for curbside pickup .After receiving the notification that my order is ready for pickupI checked in on the app when I arrived but no one showed up with my order . After half an hour waiting I went inside to costumer service asking for the order they told me that there is only 1 guy who fulfills online orders and he his probably busy thats why I have to wait .I Dont understand why they still offer curbside pickup if they cant keep up to it
I went to look for some paint. I just needed a little help, so I asked if there was anyone in the painting section. I was told no, but that someone would come help me. I was looking and waiting, and no one ever carme. The frustration was exasperated by the fact that the employees where just chatting, and no one cared at all about helping the one of five customers that were in the store. I ended up just leaving. Ill go to home depot tomorrow.
Terrible installation service. I was told my fridge would be installed which needed a water hook up. They send a third party delivery person who could not do what I was told they would do at purchase. Should have sent a tech. Also did not want to remove old fridge until I pushed on that issue. Did not remove packing materials or install filters. Absolutely sucked.
There is a supply chain problem which the WH doesnt care about. But Lowes does. We purchased a refrigerator. I also wanted a new dishwasher and a BOSCH. They had 2 on the floor. BOSCH will get nothing out of Germany for at least 2 months. I couldnt pay for it at sale price. But happy to show me all others.I CALL THIS A BAIT AND SWITCH operation. You cant get this but hey, we have lots of others.To me this is criminal...and wasnt just this Lowes, we visited 2 stores and a Home Depot....pretty much same story.Let Brandon do nothing and butteigeig breast feed at home for 2 months.THIS COUNTRY IS QUICKLY GOING TO HELL. My first experience in Lowe’s was low… when Diane was ringing me up one item was missing a tag…she told me she could not get anyone to help get a price… WHAT???!! She said she can not call anyone to help assist me.. REALLY??? So I had to go find some nice workers who had no problem at all helping me find a price on this item- then I had to wait on line again”. Just a terrible experience. All she had to to do was her job and find someone to help me. Do your JOB DIANE or quit!
This store couldnt even handle the delivery of a small order, and they couldnt even keep track of where the order was. The online order customer service told me to call the store since the order was being delivered from Chester. Chester apparently kept putting it on the truck and having the truck run out of time for delivery. When I called the Chester store to check on the status, the store would take an hour to answer the phone or never answer it. I spent an hour on hold and with the automated voice before finally calling the ProDesk only to be told that they couldnt check on online orders. The third day after it should have arrived, I called the online customer service desk again, and they told me that the Chester store manager was probably lying about the order being on the truck the day before but that it was definitely on the truck today. I am going to go to Home Depot to get the items I need. I DO NOT recommend any contractor do business with Lowes if they have any kind of schedule to keep.
Had a great experience at the lowes in chester, NY. Seth went out of his way to help me with a home project. He was very knowledgeable and patient with me. Defiantly will return for the outstanding customer service he provided. Seth is an asset to this store. Thank you.
I bought a sump pump I had to have installed and it did not work. Brought it back and wanted to get a replacement and get it installed. They dont do installation, and couldnt care less that I Iost money on installing a defective product. The customer service clerk was very nice but the man in plumbing was totally uncaring and unhelpful. They didnt even offer to help me choose a replacement, not that I would spend any money there anymore
Customer service is rediculous no body knows anything here. They have none of their equipment charged and ready to go for the day so if you need something on a top shelf I guess thats just to bad. I called over an hour ago about my purchase and was told bacislly nothing other then I guess youll have to wait. Customer service in this Lowe is without a doubt awful
My wife and I had bought Trex material and siding from the Chester Lowes store. There was a few problems at first. Then Israel Santiago and Joe Sauro stepped in from Lowes Pro Services and went above and beyond and straightend everything out..They was both thorough and very professional.If anyone needs help we recommend both of them.
Did not deliver hundreds of dollars of items and they consistently came up with excuses and ignore messages. After contacting the BBB and reaching out to corporate twice, a refund was finally issued after 2 long months. Managers are unprofessional, neglectful, and disorganized, and Home Depot proved themselves more worthy.
Waited for over 20 minutes for someone to help me-I knew exactly what I wanted to buy that was shown as a display on the floor (it was an outdoor table set). First employee-“I don’t work in that department.” Second employee-“I don’t know where the boxes are for that item.” I said ok I need to speak to a manager. Manager came and was more helpful and looked up the item and said we don’t have this in stock and no other stores do either and we cannot sell the display. So I just wasted 30 minutes of my time waiting for something I can’t even buy. Will not come back to this store.
The worst experience ever!!! I went in to by trim for my windows and placed my order IN PERSON and paid for delivery. I did this a week and a half in advance so I would have it in time. It was supposed to be delivered on a Saturday. It never was. Never got a phone call or anything. I called Saturday night and was told the manager would call me first thing in the morning on Sunday and it would be put on the truck and delivered on Sunday. By 10:30 I still did jot receive a call so I called. I talked to the manager the person the night before told me to. I explained everything and she put me on hold. She came back and said she was not aware that I spoke to a manager and that she would take care of it and call me back in 15 minutes. Well 4 hours later I still did not receive a call so I called them. I couldnt get through to the customer service desk so now I had to drive to Chester. When I got there I was told there was nothing they could do today and it would probably be delivered tomorrow. It was also stated if we have to bump someone we will which shows how much they care about their customers. In all this time I never heard an apology except from Cole the head cashier, who was the only one who was helpful. I came to this lowes because the one in newburgh is also terrible (i will post my experience there as well) Will never shop at here again
Very nice lumber section and better garden section than HD, but the rest has a little less selection than other similar stores. Very hard to find help, but that is probably about the same as elsewhere. When I went, there was lots of stuff blocking the aisles for unclear reasons, not a great idea for your customers.
I want to give a special shout out to Daisy, who works in power tools. I was searching for an attachment to an angle grinder called Diamabrush, which is used to remove paint from weathered decks. Daisy happily checked it for me and when we could not find it, she went on a mission to discover where it could be. She took as much time as needed and was pleasant and engaged in finding this attachment. She asked a number of associates and when we did indeed find it, she was gracious and genuinely happy and even apologized for taking the extra time needed.
I spent over 2k on a Husqvarna lawn tractor expecting a delivery within a few days as the Lowes it was shipping from was less than an hour from my home. Over 2 weeks later and 4 (thats FOUR) missed shipping dates I had to eventually cancel. The absolute worst shopping experience Ive been through with any retailer. If you absolutely must order from Lowes avoid this store at all costs.
The Staff were very helpful, although I did wait a long time for assistance due to limited Staff available and Staff who seemed more interested in socializing with each other than working. However, the worst part of my experience was the number of Staff working wearing their face masks incorrectly either on their chin or not covering their nose. More customers had their masks on correctly than Staff. That is shameful during a global pandemic. Do better.

How do you rate a store that has no customer service. They will not let you speak with a store manager then try calling on the phone they have a 1-2 hour call back. I think they should go out of business. I am referring to the CHESTER, NEW YORK Store........ I could not give them no stars to be able to post ... but thats what I wanted to give them
This store is horrible. Totally disgraceful service when we ordered a washing machine to be delivered. Day of delivery the delivery service called and asked if Lowes called to let me know the item was damaged. NOPE ! They never called. I told the delivery service I didnt want a damaged machine. The never came to my house. I called Lowes and the person there said she was going to call me in a few minutes. Long story short... I got an email from Lowes letting me know my item WAS DELIVERED!! It gets worse after that....just a horrible experience.Dont buy from Lowes.
*Updating this review from 4 years... again nothing has changed, big chain doesnt care about Customer Service. Customers standing around all over looking for help , too understaffed... been waiting an hour just to talk to someone to purchase a dishwasher , not the 1 employees fault, salesman is excellent.Under Staffed. Very long wait. Cashier very rude. Spent $2000 dollars BTW. Salesman was nice when I FINALLY got help. Way way way under staffed. Customer service is failing because of that.
Tonight I had a rare experience. I always have had the best experience here at this location. I have spent a lot of money at this store over the past few months while remodeling my home. However tonight 2 minutes after close I am loading up a pressure washer into my buggy. A man yells at my family and I FOLKS WERE CLOSED my wife says ok he is just loading the machine, I said I understand. He stares at us until we leave the isle. Didnt bother to help or ask if I needed help. I just pulled a back muscle a few days ago and was trying to lift it in the buggy. Im remodeling my home. Every other person in the last 5 years I been here always ask me if I need help. This short stout built grey haired man was disrespectful.I run a successful business and my team would be disciplined or sent through training again to help them through. I dont like to drive to Middletown but if I need something from u guys why should I trust my wife to go to that store if some rude person wont help her.Sorry I had to post this after having great experiences in the past.I was so bothered I didnt address his attitude but I gave him a wave and smile so he can know it was me who wrote this.
I had a bed experience with an online order scheduled to be picked up from this store, the order was picked over a week after placing the order, half of the order was canceled by the store even it was available online (and i actually saw this items in store), all lumber pcs from this order was damaged...
Never had a problem. Its local and I love the convenience. The energy is pretty low key and I enjoy that. I dont do well in loud and noisy places so my Lowes gets a 5 star for not triggering my anxiety and my allergies ( both are severe ). The employees are very kind and helpful. The store is clean and all items are easy to find.
My daughter needed a new washing machine. I was looking at Home Depot & then Lowes. I can not access Lowes website. My daughter said she saw a GE Machine she liked on Lowes. I kept tryin and I called I was told I had to clear all kinds of things off my computer to be able to access your website. Needless to say I got my daughters a New Washing Machine from Home Depot. You just lost a $600 sale from me , I wonder how many more sales you have lost and are still losing as I still can not access you website. Brilliant move by your web development team.
Put an order in online my husband used his military discount. We got an email order ready for pick up, we go to find out order is not ready. The customer service lady said, the email was to tell you the order is ready to PICK really? No it said ready for PICK UP. So we end up picking our whole order ouselves and end up paying $75.00 more than the online order because they said they could not find his military ID and could not issue his discount so...I go back to customer service where the rep proceeds to tell me its impossible that he got the discount online that he needs to be verified...uh...duh... it says military discount right on the order that he printed up and has the email that he was verified online. She refused to issue the credit to a military service veteran!!!! I will be calling corporate in the morning and will be getting our money back!!!! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the guy that works in lumber helped him load the stuff while I was at customer service and the cashier thatcrang us up was a pleasure as well. #homeimprovements #lowes
Update your website so the availability of what you have in stock is actually accurate. What is the point of calling your store and checking online to make sure you have something in stock to get there 20 minutes later and be told you haven’t had that item in stock for days. Won’t shop at Lowe’s again, wasting my time!
Placed a curbside pickup order at 1 pm for 5 bags of pea gravel... never got confirmation email that they where ready for pickup... drove to store after work at 5pm called curbside and.... Amber said they will be out in 5 min.... 15 min go by and a co-worker of Ambers comes out named Ethan and says we didnt pull your order because we have been to busy, none are on the ground in gardening department and we cant find a forklift driver... I said really? Its been four hours since I ordered... took another 20 mins for him to reappear and ask me to drive over to garden so they could load the bags off the forklift directly into my truck.... well guess Im done ranting.... I know better now.....lol I was told I need to call before I drive over to make sure my order is pulled... I thought four hours was enough time...
Always loved Lowes BUT my experience with THIS STORE and my paver order was horrific. It started with a late delivery. No notice and impossible to get ANYONE on the phone. After many hours on the phone with both Lowes ( and about 7 different people ) and there terrible shipping company( CPO Logistics ) we finally got our order a day and a half late. Cost me time off from work and money paying wasted time with my contractor. Spoke with several managers most of whom do not call you back. I was hung up on because departments don’t pick up or just hang up because I guess there TOO BUSY. Even just yesterday I had to call back to get a pick up. The manager I was told would call me back never did. Still waiting for the pick up now. Let’s see how this ends up. HORRIFIC and very POOR. Customer service.
Lowe’s is very unprofessional. They delivered appliances to my neighbors house in the process they hit and knocked out my rock wall and this happened my 10th of may 2021. They have yet to follow up on the incident very poorly managed and very unprofessional. Hopefully they call me back on the incident within the 30 day range.
Having just moved to Orange County from NYC we have alot of work to do on our new place. The outstanding customer service my husband and I have received from Gregory B is what keeps us returning to this Lowes. This man is so helpful its amazing. Where other employees will simply say Im unsure and walk away Gregory is always there saying we will figure it out or let me find what you need. Not only does he help in everything we need in the store he will walk us to the car and help load it. Every employer would be lucky to employ Gregory. Thank you Gregory.
I did not like the customer service on this place looking for a refrigerator and the representative that was supposed to help me was not really interested instead advise me to go somewhere else claiming that there was about 6 of the appliance I was looking so I decided to call that other before driving there. That other place was the Lowes at middletown and the customer service Rep told me that they had zero of that specific refrigerator when I was previously told that there were six ,that was a discrepancy.... Either the information in the system was wrong or somebody was not doing a good.
I had my ups and down with this store.It was a BIG issue to install my refrigerator because i needed to call the 1800 number. After endless amounts of calls and showing in person to the store I finally got someone willing to help after all my food was spoiled from being outside the fridge.Another day came in for a 4x4 for my mailbox and the employees seemed like they didn’t understand what i needed... told me they couldn’t cut the 4x4 and always passed me to the next employee. Horrible, i felt helpless!!!
They sell good quality products. The store is well lit and clean. The problem I have is particularly in the aisles that have small items such as the electrical, plumbing and hardware. A lot of the merchandise is not in the proper location. On a few occasions I purchased the wrong product because I read the label on the shelf and did not look closely at the product. So now I check and sure enough, it now becomes a game to try and find what Im looking for because its somewhere else on the shelf.
As far as inventory and selection and the tidiness of the store is great but the customer service is horrible they give difficulty returning items and you cant get help from any of the employees in the store I spent the other day 1 hour in the Millwork Department waiting to get help because there was only one person working in that department which at any time One customer would need the employees help choosing windows and doors could take more than an hour to write up an order how can you run a department with just one person I say again I had to wait one hour just to get help from the single person in that department.!!! The same could be said for practically all the other departments except for paint which usually the service is pretty quick and good other than that getting help from the employees is difficult pretty much all the time. And when you do find someone that knows where something is they just send you there and dont escort you to help you find the product.
We paid for a fridge on Black Friday. Our existing fridge was just about dead, not holding temp and leaking water all over the floor. Our newborn’s breast milk was in the freezer, and we needed this frozen milk to hold us over through my wife’s cancer surgery, so we needed a new fridge quickly. We pulled the trigger and scheduled delivery for Sunday.We canceled our Sunday plans so we could wait for the fridge. There was a snowstorm coming in the late afternoon, but our delivery window was 8am-noon, so we were in the clear (or so we thought). At 11:30, after sitting around waiting for 3.5 hours, we got a call from Lowe’s third party delivery company, XPO, saying they were canceling our delivery because of snow. There was no snow in the ground, and wouldn’t be for another 2-3 hours.XPO called back and re-scheduled our delivery for Thursday (4 days away). We explained that we desperately needed the fridge sooner, but they didn’t care whatsoever. My wife had to cancel a $350 job on Thursday so she could wait for the delivery.Tuesday night, we get an automated phone call from XPO telling us that our delivery was scheduled for WEDNESDAY. We couldn’t accept delivery, my wife had an oncologist appointment in Manhattan. I call XPO back, wait on hold for 45 minutes, only to be told that I need to call the store. I call the store, they say it was a simple mistake and the delivery is also scheduled for Thursday. The store and automated call confirm everything is set.Thursday - my wife waits for the delivery. She had the contents of our fridge in coolers on ice in the kitchen. One hour, two hours, three hours pass...nothing. At the end of our four hour window, she lets me know that no delivery has been made. I call the store. They tell me that XPO said we had requested our delivery be cancelled, so they hadn’t even loaded the fridge on the truck.I speak with a manager, explain the breast milk situation, ask that they put the fridge on their rental pickup and bring it immediately. The manager (who refused to give me her name, possibly wasn’t a manager, immediately had a bad attitude) said that there was absolutely no way they could deliver. She set up the delivery for the next morning, first stop at 8am. My wife had to take ANOTHER day off work, losing more money.The next morning, at 10am, no delivery has been made. I call the store, they say that the driver couldn’t find my address and skipped my stop. My house is incredibly easy to find and is on a main road, with the address clearly marked. They turn the driver around. He then refuses to deliver the fridge because of “safety issues”. I had shoveled a 4 four foot wide path all the way around the house to the front door, but since it was through the grass, there was still a thin layer of snow. Not slippery. I call Lowe’s, they tell me that I probably didn’t shovel a wide enough path, and in a condescending tone tell me that I probably don’t know how big a fridge is. My wife cries, and the delivery guys take pity on her and make the delivery, against the instructions of their boss.We finally have a fridge. I make a complaint with Lowe’s corporate, who agree that the store needs to fix this. All I want is compensation for the $350 job my wife lost (this pays for just a fraction of the time we lost). I get a call from a manager at Lowe’s in Chester, I believe her name was Jasmine. She refuses to compensate me at first, and tells me it isn’t their problem, I need to call XPO. I didn’t buy a fridge from XPO, I bought it from Lowe’s, it isn’t my fault Lowe’s contracts out their deliveries to an incompetent service. Jasmine ends up giving me a whopping $120. I call XPO, they refuse to refund anything.I will never shop here again. I will keep my family and friends from shopping here. I’ve sold my Lowe’s stock. What a god awful experience!
I am updating my review as the store manager has been actively involved in making my issue less painful. I received a call from the store manager when he said he was going to call to give me an update. I very much appreciated that. Also, the 2nd order arrived a week earlier which is also appreciated. Thank you for the better customer service received!Ordered an appliance that was not a custom order. Delivery time was 3 weeks. They charged my credit card at the time of the order. No problem. 3 days before delivery, received a call that the item would not be available for another 60-90 days! The store offered another item instead. I appreciated that however, the new items was ordered and yet another 3 weeks until delivery. Total of 6 weeks to get an appliance thats not a custom order but my credit card was charged on day 1! No guarantees that the item will actually be delivered in 3 weeks. Store claims that its the manufacturer and its out of their control. Really? Isnt Lowes the customer of the manufacturer? I am sure Im not the only one who has issues like this with Lowes. Lowes should be putting pressure on their vendors to get better service! But manager told me that its out of his control as he is not in the corporate office! Manager should be reporting/talking to their corporate office to make sure things like this do not happen in the future.
I always get lost in the Lowes store because they have so many different things to look at whoo-wee. I was looking for batteries but I thought I walk up and down the aisles to see what else they had and I ended up spending $150. I really like going to the store its clean its not busy you can walk through the aisles easily and the staff is helpful.
I went in to purchase a gas range, the sales representative appeared to be bothered by having to see which appliances were available. My delivery was arranged for 2 days with a two hour estimated delivery window. Delivery, is now three hours late from a third party company who offered to help by delivering the stove in two more days.
Love this place. Been going there since we moved here in 2007... big DYIers which translates to LOTS of questions! Attempting to spit existing fan fixture into 3 and Wayne in lighting was SO patient and helpful! Got great tutorial, he helped us w all the materials we needed... did not give us sense of security... still recommended for us to use electrician (he may not have had too much confidence in our ability 🤣) which we appreciated! Spent a lot of time with us and we thought it was awesome. THANK YOU Wayne at the Chester store. You rock!
Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Poor on keeping customer informed on delivery time of special orders. Out of stock in store sometimes but maybe less frequently than other stores. Store personnel nearly always try to help but sometimes lack knowledge needed. Very good on return policies.
The store personnel, mostly helpful, or jolly others upset looking. Theres quite of an array of items array, but things are in boxes, not too organized, hard to drive the electric cart around. I drive my mother in the cart. The restroom for elderly/handicap (women) was clean but the other stalls werent. Im not there for that, but my opinion, not good reflection on personnel or manager cleanliness, during 4-6pm visit, 5/17 (Thursday). I usually go to home depot, but once I awhile drive to Lowes.
Chester Lowes did not have my items that I ordered online, but they forgot to tell me. A six weeks later they finally delivered my items after the 3rd try. First they went to the wrong house, then they missed one item. They also failed to provide the invoice number even after several calls, so I could not submit the rebate. I sent a certified mail to the rebate center with the online purchase details, and when I called them they gave me a tracking that said processing. Two months later I called back and they said the rebate was closed and since there wasnt every information on the receipt I cannot get the rebate. Three months of misery!!!!!!! Arghhhhhh!!!!
Its alright, the layout is really really weird. Why would all plumbing be in the EXACT opposite corner of the contractor entrance. Also upon leaving the people in front of me completely shop lifted, the alarm went off, and instead of stopping them they just shut off the alarm and let them go. Talk about discrimination.
The reason why I give them just one star, I Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, I owned it 11/2 years. I bought the extended warranty. When my refrigerator broke, I called Lowe’s and they sent a technician. The technician they sent Assumed it was the motherboard, he said it should be working in 4 hours and in 2 hours the refrigerator broke down again it never got cold. I personally called the gentleman‘s phone that he calls me from and had him come back. He Said my compressor went and my cooling system was down and leaking oil into the tray on the bottom, he said there was no more he can do for me that I had to call Lowe’s back again and set up an appointment with a licensed Samsung technician! The technician calling me and telling me he would be there between 3 and 5 o’clock after, I waited 5 hours for that phone call. He showed up late anyway telling me he sent me an email. If that doesn’t get to you, he came with no parts to fix my refrigerator! I was told that this point they will overnight the parts, which took almost 2 weeks to get, but he also told me he couldn’t come back for another 2 weeks. I called Lowe’s up they said they will not use my warranty because the compressor in the cold cooling system is warranted on the Samsung.( so why did I buy a Lowe’s extended #Warranty) Samsung claimed that the technician needed to terminate the unit. So I went a month without a refrigerator thanks to Lowe’s. Now my very expensive refrigerator that was extremely quiet it’s no longer quiet it’s making lotta noise in my kitchen!! I Do not recommend Lowe’s in Chester NY one bit!! Their manager could’ve taken responsibility and send me a new refrigerator. To my knowledge he refused!
2 long, bad experiences in a row. It is a slow to no place place. Customer Service has many people who need more training on the return software.Managers needed for Overrides are slow to get to the Customer Service desk.It took me an hour to return 3 cabinets WITH a receipt.Save time - drive the extra 15 minutes to Orangeburg or anywhere else.
Did not have a positive experience with a carpet order. I was promised a two week install by the Lowes Flooring rep. Four weeks later, I get a call from the installation dept to arrange a delivery. Delivery arrived without the carpet for the stairs. Multiple calls to Lowes before finally getting the stairs done. Lowes did not do anything to gain my satisfaction. Should have went to Home Depot.....
This store seems a little cramped and oddly-laid out compared to other Lowes stores, but if you live in Chester it beats making a drive to Middletown for tools and lumber. Still, the employees make the difference and are up to Lowes usual standards. Definitely better in all ways over the orange-apron guys.
We visited last night right before the upcoming snow storm and went to Lowe’s 15 minutes away instead Home Depot which is only 3 minutes away due to 3 last experiences that were quite pleasant. We felt it was worth the drive. We were going for a snowblower and met up with Keirnan who did a great job of explaining the snowblowers and was insightful and polite. Unfortunately , after doing so at check out the cashier and head cashier were argumentative and dismissive and this is why there are 4 stars. When we explained we were given different information that we can borrow the ramps to bring the blower home ,they basically laughed, dismissed us and when we asked for the manager ,one of them claimed they were , dismissed us and walked away. Both were quite rude ! luckily we met with Ariel who turned the experience around, she contacted the real manager Neil ,who was extremely apologetic and helpful and thanks to both of them nd Keirnan we will return again.
Its a shame that this is where we now have to shop since Lowes and Home Depot have put the little guys out of business. Lower standard of merchandise, associates that many times dont know what they are talking about and the worst quality lumber I have ever seen. Shame the direction were moving in.
I prefer the other box store for variety. Get your power equipment at the local power equipment dealer. Generally you see the same manufacturer lines but to a lesser manufactured grade allowing lower prices. As an example, thermostats, chain saws, lawn mowers weed whackers, etc.
Dont get paint here. Unless you buy extra because if you need extra the next gallon you purchase will be a different color. I dont know how they do that and mess it up when the color is chosen out of one of their swatches and then mixed supposedly by a machine. I dont believe the associates in the paint department know what they are doing. Unbelievable. Cant finish my paint project today if I want a half a wall a different color.
The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the guys working at carpet and paint section are amaizing and very helpful. Now lets start about a very unique guy named Harry working at lawn and garden area. Asked Harry about ride on lawn mowers knows nothing about them and very rude. We were told after Harry himself checked the system there was one mower left in stock but apparently he did not want to go look for it in the store so told us they dont have any. Next day we come in to finalize on our carpet and to buy washer and dryer when we see a ride on lawn mower used sitting by the customer service desk. The 2 people working there were very nice tried finding out about the price of the product which is when Harry walks by and when asked the question the reply was I DONT KNOW WITH A SHOULDER SHRUG and just kept on walking away. I would deff buy and come to Lowes again but will not shop at the garden section.
I went in today with one purpose in mind, I needed a small electric snowshovel, due to a recent muscle tear in my arm... The person I came across helped me to get the display model down, as it was the only one they had left... And with an impending snowstorm about to arrive I was excited to have found one... At the register they rang it up as a display model and I saved 1/5th of the listed price... To me a great stop indeed...
Rude employees. Sign says free table with dewalt 12 miter saw. First they say they dont have any. Then they say its not for that saw. I said its a 12 miter saw which is what the ad read. Manager was a total jerk. Dont waste your money! Home depot right down the road!

I picked up a troy- bilt snow thrower storm 3090 xp last season.First time out, the electric snow chute stop working.Second time light stop workingWent to lowes / chester store for parts and got nothing but run around.Call troy bilt was the word of the day.By the way, lowes dose not stand behind the 2 yr warrenty.So, expect to use a $20.00 snow shovel to do the real job.To day was the final straw, the 4th time i used the snow blower the front auger started grinding and stopped working.May just be i have a lemon. I do have one good thing to say about the snow thrower motor it runs like a champ. Needed help finding a bolt smaller in diameter than the one that came with my headboard.Asked a Lowes associate for help.He GRUDGINGLY agreed yo help me but didnt seem to know where the right bolts were .He became more and more rude and nasty as our 5 minute contact went on.He finally found a bolt I could use after blaming me for any delay.Will avoid Lowes in future.

2022-05-23I tried to find a way to send a Lowes Store Experience Review/feedback but there seems to be no way to do so. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you to the Chester Lowes Store Assistant Manger Giovanni taking the time even in the last hour of the store being open to help me get the proper batteries for my new weed trimmer. Most folks brush people off at the end of the work day. Yet, I really needed to resolve the issue before traveling. He and the young man working the Customer Service desk May 19th solo did an awesome job! Thank you for the extra effort. I truly appreciate it.

2022-02-04Its pretty well laid-out, as far as home-improvement warehouses are concerned. Staff are usually available, & helpful - the paint department staff are excellent. There is usually plenty of parking. Access is easy from rt17 or county rt94. All departments are decently stocked.

2022-04-18Poorly managed waited 20 min for sale rep to come answer questions about appliances 1 person working smh. Ask anybody else in the store not there dept. You guys have to be loosing thousands on revenue from not making sales ended up just leaving sure this happens a lot. Easy fix in my eyes if you need my help reach out.

2022-06-18We were in the store today pacing back-and-forth looking for superglue, those really tiny tubes… An associate, Rob, must’ve noticed my lost look and ask “can I help you find something?” So I said I’m looking for superglue, without hesitation Rob told me the superglue is down aisle four, about halfway down on the right hand side. He seems to know the store like the back of his hand and I was impressed by his detailed answer. He saved me a whole lot of wandering around…. I thank you, Rob - my fitness tracker does not hahaKaren, from the garden section is also extremely helpful. When you ask her for help she acts like it’s making her day to answer your questions.They’re just two employees I happened to catch the names of. Everyone at the Chester Lowes is great.

2022-06-01I bought something to assembly and went home just to find out that have of the package content is missing. I had to drive back four another 45min and exchanged it. .... my advise for anybody is: when you buy something (doesnt matter Lowes, Home Depot etc.), let them open the package to confirm all the parts are in thre package as claimed.! (It saves you time, gas and frustration)

2022-05-15We purchased a refrigerator from Lowes in Middletown, NY, on March 4, 2022. The ordering process was a phone order & Martin was a pleasure to deal with.We had 2 different refrigerators delivered to our home last week and they were both damaged and we did not accept them. The gentlemen delivering these were very nice, apologetic and sorry this happened to us.Today, May, 15th, Dwayne and Humberto delivered the 3rd refrigerator to us and they were very professional, considerate of our home & took pride in their work. They were a pleasure to deal with and I feel that their dedication and knowledge of what they had to do has to be acknowledged.Although we had a few problems with our delivery (we had to be home on 3 different days to wait for the delivery) I think Lowes tried their hardest and best to satisfy us. A discount or some sort or a credit for our aggravation would have been nice. As far as the people we dealt with in Lowes, the two managers, and the girl in delivery they were all professional and did everything they could to help us. I hope Lowes steps up and acts as quickly and as professionally as their employees that we had the pleasure of dealing with, as far as giving us some type of compensation for our inconvenience. 2022-03-25If this review was only about the appliance manager, Jeff (Chester location), I’d have given 5 stars! He assisted me through a very chaotic and seemingly impossible situation that was due to Lowe’s affiliation with CRST Home Solutions (their “installation service - equally to blame, to be fair!) and a Lowes software system that apparently offers NO (or an extremely complicated) solution for those who simply need to upgrade their current cooktop for another of the same size externally, but requires a slightly larger opening in the countertop that would allow the new one to fit.CRST Home solutions “detail” crew came by and discovered that the current opening needed to be enlarged by fractions of an inch in both depth and width. I asked if they would write those new dimensions on a piece of paper for me. They should have had a document for this purpose of which a copy should’ve been put in my file or notated on my account so that anyone in the company (both Lowes and CRST) could access. This “detail” procedure makes sense, to discover any issues prior to their installation to follow. Since they found this issue, both companies should have been updated and the info notated using my “project number” or anything to tie this info to their sale of a new cooktop to ME. CRST does not cut into countertops as part of their installation. This meant, I needed to engage another contractor (stone fabricator/cutter) and did so.CRST & Lowes Installation, gives the customer the option to disconnect and haul away the existing old appliance (for a fee), then install your new appliance. However, my situation, as determined by their own “detail” crew from CRST makes a “take away/install” on the same day an impossibility (unless THEY also had a stone cutter/fabricator on board for just such installation requirements and could coordinate for them all to be on-site at the same time). While attempting to explain that I needed two separate dates: 1 to unhook/remove the old cooktop and another date for them to come back to install the new one (while I found someone to do the counter cuts and make a date) Their own crew made this determination and should have had it notated in my records. Why I had to continually explain this entire situation to each person I spoke with on the phone, was absolutely ridiculous!I FINALLY ended up with a 3/16 “detach/take away” date and 3/24 installation date.(which cost $65 more). The staffers at CRST kept misunderstanding that I needed BOTH dates. When my confirmation call the night before the take away date never happened, I called THEM 8am the morning of. Only to be told that no one was scheduled to come because my take away/install date was changed to 3/24! That I would have to call Lowes back, ask Jeff (tha appliance mgr) to call THEM and re-set up the dates. I explained the entire situation to her again. (The first guy I spoke to at CRST, hung up on me while I was trying to correct his continued misunderstanding that I was NOT cancelling my 3/16 day…it was a VERY NECESSARY date to eventually complete my eventual installation. I immediately called back, the phone rang, was picked up and immediately hung up again.. I called back, got a young lady on the phone. Described what just transpired, she put me on hold while contacting one of the installers (Scott) who was on the road and rerouted him to my place. He called me and was at my home within 20 minutes. Also, as it turned out, the guy CRST sent to do the “detail” inspection, got the dimensions wrong. The width was the only dimension that needed to be adjusted, the dept from front to back was ample room for the new cooktop. He knew I had the new cooktop in my possession (stored in the garage, awaiting installation)The installation is finally done, but this was an EPIC INSTALLATION NIGHTMARE. As long as Lowes continues their affiliation with CRST, AND doesn’t upgrade/streamline their own system as regards appliance purchases/installations, I will not go there again. OR I will seek out a reputable appliance installer on my own.

2022-05-08Purchased a washer and dryer that was $2000 April 13th.One month later I have lost $1500 of my paycheck for not going to work waiting for my washer and dryer to show up.Nobodys taking responsibility for the situation that has occurred with me.This is the worst experience of my life and has caused my fiancee to move out our brand new house thanks a lot those for destroying my family.One month to prepare for her Mothers Day present. Only to watch her walk out the door. Worst Mothers Day ever.
