I purchased sheet vinyl flooring for $0.89 sf yesterday. Its remarkably easy to install and both lightweight and durable at about 1/4 pound per sf and just under 1.5 mm thickness. I love the result and you cant top the flooring departments great customer service.
Half dead over priced plants and flowers and the girl Jackie in the garden center was to busy flirting with men and chatting it up horrible customer service Jackie acted as if I were an imposition very rude
It is convenient and close by. Anything I cant get at our local ACE Hardware, I head to Lowes next. Once there, everything depends on what I can find on my own or which Lowes employee I find. Some are knowledgeable and willing to search. Others are less so. The contractors special order desk is very good.
I was struggling at the self checkout not understanding how it works at Lowes. A very nice young woman named Shan came over immediately to help.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES OR PROTECTION PLAN AT LOWES. It’s a nightmare of a “service” that they can’t provide. Absolutely no one in the building can help you and they forward you to a poorly run service that makes you wait 8am-5pm for someone that never shows up and never contacts you. NINE HOURS they ask you to wait for a service person. What business does that to customers any more??? Now they want me to wait another NINE hours. This “service” plan is terrible and everyone that sells it at Lowe’s must know that is the case. Avoid avoid avoid avoid. It’s a big box store that doesn’t value its customers.
Plants were looking a little rough, and several of the decorative pots that they came with were damaged. When I inquired about any potential markdown (since the same size plant in a nursery pot is often less than half the cost of those in the planters) I was laughed at.I got 10% and was happy with that, but I didnt need the ridicule - especially when they discount knotty lumber without a second thought.Consider *not* joking with the next customer in line while the person who asked a simple question is still waiting for their receipt to print.

Worst customer service ever. Called numerous times trying to get to talk to someone about my hot water heater replacement and no one will talk to you. Front desk is rude as hell. Dont waste your time with this store!
The people were good the sales associates helpful and the products were exactly what you expect to find at a home improvement superstore! Shelves were stocked well and they had all of the items that I needed.
Employees are always so helpful and know exactly where everything is off the top of their head! I love being able to bring dogs in the store. One suggestion is to put all needed plumbing and hardware needed to install a water heater closer to the water heaters. It was a bit tricky to go to 5 different places for all needed supplies but not complaining... just suggesting :) even if it was a small amount of the actual items. It would be easier for customers buying and self installing :)
This Lowe’s is probably the worst store. POOR MANAGEMENT!!!! Came to pick up my order and was totally ignored by the staff, Meg. She was talking to another staff member, took a quick look at me and continued talking. It seemed as they were sharing jokes and acted as I interrupted them. The manager Zack treats everyone as a thief and will make your feel very uncomfortable at the store. Will be ordering supplies on Amazon now.
Ad a contractor I find I know more about the store as far as product knowledge, product locations and many times how to navigate the store through digital media than most of the employees. Thankfully they have that area of relevance set up nicely. My advice to any customer is to use your smart phone before you even step foot in the door !
Went to Lowes to buy two window fans. 4/29/2021 They were not on the shelf. Website said there were 7 in stock. Walked up and down the aisle. There were three associates talking not one came up to me and asked me is I needed help. Found another employee and she said that wasnt her department. I asked her just to see if these fans were in stock. She said did you look in the spot. yes I did. She went and got another employee and he said did I check the spot. I wouldnt be asking for help if the fans were on the shelf. I found them in top stock for him. He went to the three other associates and asked them for an opinion about getting them down since they were on a pallet. One associate said try getting them from a ladder. That of course didnt work. The associates then said it was going to take an hour to get them down. They had to move some pallets. They just didnt want to work so I pushed the issue. Finally got my fans. I also bought a grill Did a pick up later. Sheba from appliances was great on helping me find a grill. Walked me up to the register. Next day. 4/30/2021. Came to Lowes to pick up my grill. asked for help never got help putting it in my car. I The customer service at this store has gone way down. There are associates there who just dont want to help customers. I worked with Sheba at the store and she has always been great at her job. As for the others I give them an F for the lack of help.

Lowes the land of everything except what you need! Other than not having what I was looking for, you know, stuff for Home improvement, the staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be, even tho they lacked what I needed.
Put a shower head for my 65 year old father. The hose broke in it. I’m out of town so he goes to return it and the laziness of this Lowe’s shined as always. They told him they don’t sell that shower head and made him go back and do the foot work and find the shower head that was not in an obvious spot just to prove to some teenager he made a purchase as YOURE STORE LOWES! Shame on you. More employees standing around than customers on a sleepy Sunday afternoon.

Visited Lowes in Riverside Center and very happy with the service. Went in to buy something and when I went to ring out my debit card wouldnt work. Girl was very helpful and very courteous and was not condescending because it didnt work told me it look like my card has been compromised or locked. sure enough called the bank and I had forgot my pin and tried to use it three times in a row and my awesome Bank blocked my card. Got that reversed went back in the store got the items that I wanted and staff was still very friendly and courteous the store is very well kept clean and is handicap accessible you can go in with your wheelchair
Every time Im there, theres at least 2 or 3 employees not wearing facemasks correctly. Otherwise, Lowes is Lowes right? You pretty much know what youre getting. (I love all my Kobalt power tools, btw)
I went to Lowes for a new garage door and Mike was so helpful the 2x I went to the store. First time, I was guessing with my measurements and was so wrong, nevertheless he was so patient with helping me with everything from the Garage Door, Garage Door Opener, and even the paint to go along with it.
One thing Ive noticed is that every little thing we go there for becomes a 20-30 min ordeal. But, once find someone to help, usually, the associates are friendly and helpful.Definitely, the upper management needs to treat people with more respect and realize The Customer IS Their Paycheck !

Bill! Give that man a raise or a promotion! Was in there looking for awkward things and found a man that worked there and asked him for help. He named what isles and how far down exactly where the things were I was looking for! He didn’t leave us hangin and made sure we found what we came for. Spent a good chunk of $$ and on my way out looked at his tag and saw ‘Bill’. Thanks to him, I’ll be back! People like him make Lowe’s a great place to shop!
This is always my go to for any build I have coming up. I always tend to buy kobalt because of the lifetime warranty and they always honor that without a problem. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is because some of the prices of there merchandise is a little too pricey but you do get what you pay for, Im just a cheap consumer. The staff is always more than willing to help and bring you right where you need to be. They can answer any question or elaborate on any subject you need more understanding on.

Store Manager Tim is a total arrogant power ranger.... It is obvious he has lots of customer NO service skills and uses them well. Read your policies buddy. I think the store needs a manager with business knowledge. Poor inventory control out of items all the time. Dont waste your time just Drive to HOME DEPOT plus everything is cheaper.

For a bit box hardware store the majority of the product is decent, but for the sake of finding what you need you can spend a lot of time because of the layout. Sparse staffing with only a handful of knowledgeable staff members can make this difficult as well. My suggestion is to know what you need ahead of time and be prepared to walk around for a while.
If a you were on a remote island that had hurricanes daily. Of course you wouldnt expect service. Well this is your store! We will call you back six weeks later . Still nothing??? I could of harvested the granite and grown trees for the cabinets that were in stock. When asked about how the service was. I was told we were in transition and promoting a guy to another store that had our account. So I declined. The store manager, the regional manager and any other should be questioned. Actually they shouldnt nor are they qualified to have the job. Disgusted to even give this a try again as we tried twice before with the same result.
I bought & paid for three 8 timber that were on sale, asked if i could come back with my truck. They said yes so i did. I first went into garden center where they told me to go to customer service. There was one girl behind the desk on her phone with her back to me. Finally i said hello! She ignored me the first time, second time i started coughing ridiculously loud. She turned around & asked what i needed, i told her & she just looked at me like i was out of my mind and did nothing. She couldnt figure out what to do. So after about 15 min i just said i want my money back which took all of 10 seconds, but never told me transaction was complete. Finally i said are we done yet & she said yes. Now today went & got a new toilet seat & when i opened box that was broken. Im done with Lowes.
If youre not going to employ cashiers, at least employ someone who is ready to help when the self checkout gets locked up and wont give a receipt. Had to ask the associate standing there staring in the opposite direction for help and her reply was basically did you pay for your stuff? Ok well you can go, I cant really do anything. After a couple of minutes of this sort of exchange instead of her calling for someone who could help, she casually swipes her tag and bingo! Out prints the receipt. Cant do anything, indeed.For anyone who questions why I care about the receipt so much, take a look at the news. Theres no way I am having my day ruined over being accused of shoplifting Drano and a pipe snake. Or what if the snake is defective and I have to bring it back?Also, still 3 stars because they had exactly what I wanted for the price I can afford. Cobra 15 ft drain snake did the job!!
Shopping for a fan (for grandson) we found what we were looking for online. Narrowed search to in stock at Herkimer Lowes. But when we get there, there was no fan in the aisle listed as the location. A salesperson came by, and not only told us there were 3 left in stock, but led us to the location...in the front aisle of the store! He said best sellers often get moved to the front. He was very helpful and pleasant! We got the exact fan we came for. Thank you Lowes!

Very poor customer service. Lowes advertises that they will replace paint if you are not satisfied. But dont wait too long to paint your room, because the store manager will just deny your request, as they did mine. I went downtown to Collis Hardware where the customer service is fantastic.

I purchased a dryer for my parents since theirs broke down on them. I paid for the old to be hauled away, and asked for it to hooked up for them. Their delivery guys did not even attempt to bring the dryer to the basement, in their mind the stairway was too small, and nothing could go in or out of it! Which makes no sense since there is only one point of entry into the basement. They left there without evening trying to bring it down or remove the older equipment! My 62 yr old father had to carry it down the stairs himself! It took him 2 minutes to bring it down with no help. If it wasnt for those two useless delivery guys our experience would of been great but they ruined it!
Herkimer location very busy but was a quick trip good news the price of lumber is going down.

I purchased my new microwave from Lowes & they took my old one out of my trunk to recycle & loaded my new one to the car. They also take rechargeable batteries like for a vacuum cleaner there as well. I found wonderful well decals there, too!
I purchased 3 garage doors and openers from Lowes in Herkimer NY. The process was to take 3 weeks and at first everything seemed great but weeks started to roll by and I could not find out about my order so I called the install department. OH THE LIES! Every time I spoke to anyone I was lied to, suddenly the price increased 3 times after the purchase and site inspection and weeks of waiting. Again I needed extra parts and was promised a followup call from the store and install department. I asked to speak with a supervisor, never got connected to one or got a single call back despite my calls. Beyond frustrated and 5 months of lies I located the store manager of the store and he made some calls to fix my problem. SUPRISE! My order was never processed or manufactured so with promisses of compensation he insisted he will make it right. How hard could that be Lowes did not manufacture doors a vendor does and a third party installs them. Boy how wrong was I! More than 6 months of the ordeal, countless calls and piles of rudeness and lies I finally got my doors and as compensation I got a handshake. LOWES lost a customer for life. Cannot be trusted. PLEASE learn from my mistake and visit Home Depot and Utica Garage door company.
Huge shout out to Herkimer Lowes! After an untimely stove fire yesterday, they responded and worked tirelessly to deliver our new stove and dishwasher within a few hours and saved our holidays! Their staff on the the phone was so helpful and their delivery crew was exceptional! We could not have been more satisfied with their customer service and the level of caring and compassion their staff exhibited! Way to go guys! Keep up the great work! Thanks from all of us!
Bought things on line, got charged that day.Went to store for pick up, they tried to charge me again, for same items... over 1,200 in materials, already paid for. Waiting on refund now..

Looking for zoeller pump. Didnt sell at my store in New hartford. I was accused of stealing a check valve? Then the employee found it. Didnt apologize to me in anyway shape or form. I then asked about a check valve they had on clearance I was there for. Website stating they had 15 on hand but no one could locate. Guy says he will go up front and look so I follow him and he just takes off on me with another customer. Really? Im buying a 200.00 pump you accuse me of stealing and you just run off. Old guy glasses plumbing dept Nov 1st 6am.
Store manager Tim is rude and offers no customer service skills. I have been a loyal Lowe’s customer for years, however as long as Store manager Tim is in charge I’ll shop elsewhere. Tim needs to be put in the stockroom and away from Lowe’s customers
Bought a chest freezer & 2 storm doors recently, before that a good ground cover for perennial garden. All went well with the serviceof the staff.
They had only 2 blink cameras and they were both opened boxes and one was missing parts.

I usually use local hardware stores to support local. Sometimes though theres no replacement from Lowes. They have just about everything and anything you would need for any type of home improvement.
We needed a new appliance and Met a lovely associate Named Sheba right away. She did a fantastic job getting our order processed and we were in-and-out In no time!

Round trip 60 miles only to find out that their saw was broken. Usually very satisfied with the service, this particular holiday they were very under staffed.
I looked up a item on web site and the item was in stock when I get there I asked this person and he pointed to a aisle so I look couldnt find it so I asked another person didnt know but Ill find someone that will know he couldnt find said we dont have this item so I see to workers in another aisle talking with one another and asked them ya we have them said aisle what ever they said not there so I would have went somewhere else but by the time I left other stores were closed I was bummed out

Not the place to buy your paint. #Shudder All their Olympic brand white paint must be mixed. As it is mixed, its Nonrefundable. They offer no stock white semi-gloss or gloss. Ive two gallons of white semi-gloss from them: one is fine, the other, used for a second coat ,produced contrasting roller stripes of a light gray tincture. Lowes offered to mix a third can (!) of white Olympic semi-gloss for me, at my expense. The paint manager had nothing to say when I responded I didnt need a third gallon of non-matching white semi-gloss, and refused to refund what Id paid for the botched batch. Its nonrefundable. Indeed. Happily, theres venerable, family-owned hardware store down the street with stock white gloss and semi-gloss, on the shelves, just like Back in The Day. (Im not going to even mention Lowes attempt to match a blue exterior latex to a chip. Yes, also non refundable.)
It took awhile to find someone to help me, but once I did, they really went above and beyond. Overall, Id say it was well worth the wait.

Ordered item for store pick up and the website stated that they had 8 in stock for same day pick up, didn’t go to pick up until next day and they said the didn’t have the item and couldn’t get one for me after already purchased it and was suppose to be able to pick it up. Very poor inventory control.

Hot water tank sales/ installation representatives need to get their act together. They dont know how much installations are, what the details are specifically, etcetera. Winging answers is not acceptable for a class act like Lowes. One of the store managers listened to my concerns and straightened everything out for me. My hat goes off to him.

I like shopping at lowes, the problem is any lowes that I have been in to get any help out on the floor is next to impossible. If you can find someone they are very brief in helping you, but most generally, I cant even find anyone. Service is extremely terrible!

2022-03-13Lowes put in parking for veterans and then they don’t keep it accessible for veterans to use (photo attached.) I guess they really don’t care enough to retrieve the carts blocking the veterans parking. You would think a store this big could afford to send an employee to take care of this.

2022-06-17Usually has exactly what I need.... projects and, as a DO IT YOUR SELF type of person their nothing better than using your own to hands ✋️ and having done the work yourself. Maybe aggregating at times but again changing your prospective on the issue and say nah its just a learning experience and I must continue to see it thought. 😁

2022-04-03Just made another wasted visit to the Herkimer Lowes and again they did not have what I needed. I have been there for electrical parts they didn’t have, door hardware they didn’t have and finally Shop Vac filter bags and cartridge filters they didn’t have. Each time I was told there was a shortage because of the pandemic. And each time I checked at the Utica store and they had plenty of what I needed. I don’t know who handles the ordering for this store but they are massively incompetent and unprofessional. I started ordering in line and from now on I will wait until I am in Utica to get what I need because the Herkimer store is just a waste of time.

2022-06-13It’s to bad this Lowes is not very busy. It is just like any other Lowes, but not really busy which is not bad I guess. I think the location has alot to do with it. Big turnover of employees all the time though, which is hard, because sometimes the replacements really suck.

2022-01-23A huge thank you to Corey Getman for all his help with the delivery of our fridge that the third party company failed to delivery 2 times. He went above and beyond and sent Ryan and Kai out with the Lowes flat bed to ensure we got our fridge today. Ryan and Kai were super great and got our fridge into our house and all set up with no issues!

2022-06-21Theyre trying to pull the coin shortage bs again and restricting the self-checkouts to card only. No other stores in the area are doing this. Knock it off.

2019-08-25Quick stop at Lowes today looking for some late summer color in the garden department. I found a nice selection of mums in many different sizes and colors. Lowes employees have done a nice job tending to these plants as they looked healthy and vibrant. One rack of plants was being watered as I made my selection.Prices ranged from under $10 and up. I consider this quite reasonable for the season. Will make a return trip as summer draws to a close.

2022-02-21Big box... solid stuff. Good seasonal selection at not too crazy prices. All impulse things crazy over priced for no reason though. Pretty much the exact same as the orange counterpart. Appears less affected by the pandemic squeeze than other stores that are daily shoppers
