Unreliable inventory. Website said there were 3 of a certain drill on sale in stock, but none of the associates could find it. If it was 1, it would be understandable due to shrinkage, but 3 missing is just plain incompetence. Wasted half of my day driving around to different stores to find it, when I can order it on Amazon at the same price in seconds and get it on my doorstep in 2 days with free shipping. Meanwhile, at Lowes this product is not available for shipping, so you either have to do store pickup and cross your fingers that an underpaid associate can find one, or pay 85 dollars for truck delivery.Despite what the articles out there may say, Lowes is just another chain that will fall to the death of retail. They cant even keep the marketshare of people who need to grab hardware items same day, since Lowes apparently doesnt know how to count and keep stock.
While shopping at the Lowes of Hicksville I needed help with an item and ended up finding someone and it happened to be a manager named Rory a very nice gentleman that took time out of what he was doing to help me and didn’t pass me along to someone else .He walked with me across the store to where the item I needed was located and also help me to the check out.A+ service that’s why I loves Lowes .I can never get help like this at Home Depo.
Just brought a king size Serta hybrid mattress bed in a box from Lowes. I was trying to find a sales associate who could tell me anything about the bed and none of them even knew they had bedding. Maria was nice enough to help and look it up online. The price couldnt be beat $595.00 including tax.
I ordered online. The product came damaged and it took an hour waiting on the phone with customer service to get a credit or a return of the product. Either was a solution I was ok with.An hour for a 20 dollar item. How do they plan on staying in business when you take an hour of your employees time to resolve a 20 dollar return. That most companies in 2021 can do directly on their website without the cost of labor.So it was also an hour of my time and therefore I can never be a Lowes online customer again.
Good customer and sales service, very knowledgeable. Well stocked, fair price, clean and organized. The building materials (wood/lumber) is slightly better quality than its number one competitor HD. If youre looking for that old school mom & pop store, this isnt the place, very sterile. Again good all around store but not my first choice.
If you want a customized/installed butcher block kitchen countertop don’t waste your time at this Lowe’s. According to the Kitchen/Countertop “specialist” they couldn’t customize this type of countertop for me. However, skeptical of the staff’s statement, I went over to the Garden City Lowe’s where I experienced not just friendlier but true expert service. Oh! Most importantly, the Garden City Lowe’s could customize my desired Maple Butcher Block Countertop. Left extremely satisfied with my purchase/experience and so excited for my new countertop installation!
Most recent visit, staff was more helpful than usual. I was actually asked if I needed help in the hardware section and the staff membet took the time to assist me with locating the correct bolts and anchors. He also escorted me to the tools section to help get the correct mason drill bit. This was A-typical compared to my usual experience. If it continues in this direction I will up my review to 4 stars.
I was asking this guy on the plumbing section around 10 minutes and he can help me but it looks like because I am Latino it wasnt willing to help me and spend around 20 minutes waiting for him just to get something for me but not he was busy with all the other costomers I was asking nicely if you can help me just in case you see this guy if you latino not even bother to ask him
What can I say about Lowes it has everything you need to make your home beautiful just a little more pricier than Home Depot. I went to the Hicksville Lowes because it is close to my job after work and they had exactly what I needed thank God for the app. Its kind of scary that they already are putting out Christmas stuff but thats the way the world is now. I have bought my washer and dryer as well as had floors put down from Lowes which came out excellent. I did not buy it in the extra location in stata I bought it in the Bayshore location. Both locations are well equipped with what you need to make your home, youre home. Try Lowes if you want but like I know my neighbor he prefers to go to Home Depot, prices are a little better but Lowes has what I need most of the time. That is the reason why I give it a five-star.
This Lowes is on par with most of their other stores. Plenty of help at the check out counter, not much in the isles where they are really needed.Like all the big stores of this type, finding knowledgeable people in spefic areas is lacking. I was fortunate on my visits to purchase blinds, have a knowledgeable female staff member who was able to answer my questions and inform me of things that I needed to know about my purchase and self installation. She even remembered me when I came back to purchase additional blinds.Over all, a nice store, good layout and parking was easy.However, as they all seem to be moving a lot of merchandise on like, in store selections for lights and other items are lacking.Still it is my go to place to find items I may not get else where.
Yet another store Adopting the “screw them” attitude, literately one cashier open on a Saturday morning in the spring. There is clusters of people all throughout asking for help, no employees around and the one employee we did see yelled out “WHAT!?” To an elderly person who pushed the “help” button.
I visited Lowe’s to order vinyl floors for our new office. The manager Keegan was very helpful and nice. I was told to see him from a family member that recently had carpet installed in her house with his help. The delivery was on time and the products came in as expected. Very pleasant experience
Impossible to get anyone to pick up the phone at this Lowes. Called two times, waiting over 30 minutes each time, and no one answers the phone.Also extremely long hold times with their corporate #.Update: Again, I was unable to get anyone from the store to answer the phone. I called the corporate # and they called the store for me. They said that it doesnt show them what actual number is used for the corporate rep to call the store, but Im guessing it a different number because they answered very quickly.So, it seems that the store answers calls from corporate, but not from customers.Lovely.
Ordered interior door and storm door with installation from the Hicksville Lowes. I went back and forth to the store and I called on the phone a few times to decide on details. I was helped by both Daniel and Patrick in millwork/doors. Both fantastic! They were knowledgeable, helpful, patient and a pleasure to communicate with. Wonderful representatives of the Lowes brand.
Would like to start by saying I love lowe’s but just not the Hicksville location, which is why I gave 1 star & the only reason I gave 1 star. Every time I go there I find their store personnel lacking in good/any customer service. I then go to the Lowe’s Farmingdale store & find I always get great service (5 stars) this has happened multiple times so I know it’s just not that I’ve spoken to one unmotivated person. I’ve resorted to buying my refrigerator, washer & dryer thru Farmingdale location. Recently I ended up leaving Hicksville store & going to competitor for my bbq grill. I really wish they would step up their customer service as it’s much closer to where I live but I guess I will now just always go to Farmingdale first. Thank you Farmingdale store!
After patience of two hours, Loris and her Manager Mikes discriminatory, Racsit, unprofessional behavior- canceled all my paid ($2600) purchases and am taking my business to Home Depot. May God Bless Lowes with more of Lori and likes of Mike. So foolish of Lowes to spend on Advertising rather than hiring right people to work for them.Very well organized, clean placed. Ample Parking. But was my last visit ever.
Lowes Bethpage usually has what Im looking for. Employees are mostly helpful. I gave this place three stars because their products arent the most reliable. I usually have to buy the same types of products every season or so cause they always break. What do you expect when most of their merchandise isnt American made.
VERY strange visit. Salesman did his best to help (above & beyond), however item that was said to be in stock online was no where to be found. Items said to be not in stock were plenty available. Another sales man says theres always a glitch in the computer system. Yikes.
I have to say Trevor from the paint department Is phenomenal, he really takes his time with you and helps you get what your looking for and helps you make the right decision. We had the pleasure of interacting with Trevor and I must say he is a very knowledgeable and caring sales associate who treats all customers with respect and makes sure you get what you need. Good job Lowe’s having such wonderful employees.
I don’t normally go to this location as there are two closer ones to my home. However, the Hicksville location had all of the items I needed for a plumbing/pool heater project all in stock. I had a general idea of what I needed to complete the project but had issues finding the proper size fittings and connections. I ran into a gentleman named Tom who was working in the plumbing section, asked him for help and showed him a photo of what I was hoping to recreate. He said that he had just finished a similar project and preceded to help me find the right fittings. Having not done much work with pvc in the past, most of this was new to me. Tom spent over 20 minutes with me finding, arranging and explaining how to compete my project. Honestly, without Tom’s help I would have certainly left with the wrong parts and have to return tomorrow. He was happy to help and was extremely knowledgeable. Thanks Tom!!!
Went for curbside pickup. Got the order correct, nice guy delivering the goods, but took sooooo long (18 min of waiting). Doesnt make sense with all the details of the app asking you to let them know when you are headed to the store and then again checking in when you get there. I feel like any more than 10 minutes is too long a wait...
I always enjoyed going to the Lowes in Hicksville until recently when I received bad customer service borderline discriminatory... The cashier, after checking out the items on my cart, I realized the credit card machine was off-line and my payment wasnt going through. After couple attempts, I mentioned to the cashier that the machine is off-line (Freeze display - waiting for cashier); instead of checking what was wrong with the machine, the cashier told me that my card declined to use another card. I again swiped the card, Instead of checking, she again mentioned to me Sir your card declined please use another card. I realized that shes getting upset with the situation, I decided to use another card just to show her... again same outcome (freeze- waiting for cashier). At this point, she again told me my second card also declined, and decided to call the next customer in line. I moved to the side and decided to wait by the register to see whats going to happen with the other customer. Sure enough, same outcome?? The customer told the cashier the same thing the machine is off-line. At this point the cashier decided to turn off the machine and turn back on and the customer was able to proceed with the payment, I was still standing next to the register and gave her the look .. she decided to ring me again and my payment went through without any issue. My point is, same issue (freeze display) with two different customers, but different outcome. As a Minority customer it easy to say your card declined (stereotype), but for the Caucasian customer, let me see whats wrong with the machine to solve the problem. Its the small things like this we need to clean in our society (a customer regardless if Im a Minority or a Caucasian, the service and the approach need to be the same).
It was easy to find what we needed only problem to check out I am behind a wagon with nobody there but the cashier was there finally after 20 minutes I walked over and said what’s going on he never said come around to this register I will help you while you have that wagon standing in front
Had a good experience last month with online order/store pickup so tried again and it was awful. Not enough employees to handle calls and sat in the lot for 20 minutes yesterday to no avail. Tried to call the 800# on my order to change to shipping and waited on hold for 45 minutes before hanging up. Went back today and after a few minutes of no answer waited online and went into the store. The employee helping me proceeded to take their mask off at the beginning of our transaction and it stayed on their chin the rest of the time. She asked to see my ID for pick up so I held it out and she said twice Id have to get closer. Luckily, another employee was there to read it because Im not handing my ID to someone with no gloves or mask during the current state.
Found what I was looking for with ease. Checkout was quick and the associates were courteous and helpful. My Military discount is honored with no hassle and surely welcomed. Thank you Lowes for your compassion for our active Military and Veterans. God bless America, all Military branches and first responders.
Very clean and neatly kept. The prices were very competitive. In fact I purchased some things because of the great prices. I purchased my bathroom from Lowes for a great low price. Im a Home Depot guy but Lowes has definitely impressed me and impresses more each time I visit.
This applies to Lowes in Hicksville only. They had a shower base, I was looking for. Ordered it online Tuesday, it was ready for pickup Wednesday morning, I arrived Thursday evening (they will hold it for 7 days), parked in a pickup spot, there was someone outside who called in my order number. In & out in about 15 minutes total!
Your run of the mill Lowes, youll be able to find pretty much anything your looking for. Generally have had better luck finding decent quality product here than home depot. Only downside is that the aisles are really cluttered with displays and whatnot that can make navigating around them and other people a real labor of love on occasion, especially hauling lumber around. Parking is good with a large lot that is easy to get in and out of.
Went to Lowes Hicksville looking for flooring. Needed measurements taken and they charged me 30 dollars and someone was sent and took measurements. That went fine. BUT, I never got the quote that was promised. I called the store and was connected to flooring. Nobody picked up. Tried calling manager. Nobody picked up. Tried calling flooring again. Somebody picked up and transferred me to a line who couldnt answer my question....so they transferred me back to flooring. I am going with another store. I have couches being delivered and Lowes just wasted my time..........UPDATE: I called back and spoke to a manager. I explained that I need to get the job done fast (due to the couches coming) and asked him to send me the measurements THAT I PAID FOR. He refused to do that and said that would give up a sale. Lowes just lost a customer for life.
While out shopping at Lowe’s with my father who is a Vietnam veteran he ask for a veteran’s discount and after showing his VA card was told there was nothing they could do for him because his phone number wasn’t in there system. At Home Depot they just look at the card thank him for his service and give him a discount.
Better than home depot.Far better wood products than home depot, its stored nicely and its straight. They have a bigger selection of non wood products as well. They have things in stock that you would have to special order at home depot. Nicer store, things are in order( not thrown all over the place, mixed bins etc.) and they give veterans a 10% discount.
I think this Lowe is great. i have been shopping here for about six years. if you dont see someone in the department all you have to do is push the help button. And a person comes to help you. It is helpful to do a little homework before you go there. So you can see the reviews about what you want to buy. Paul in appliances is especially great and everyone is eager to help.
They never pick up the phone, and there is no mailbox either. The call keeps looping back to the main menu. Bought plywood that needed to be cut to a certain dimension and when I measured it, it was off. So now Im out money and have something I cant use because of an employees error.
Horrible delivery experience. They use a third party company and they don’t seem to have any communication with the store and vice versa. Operators are completely unhelpful. They are so quick to transfer you to the respective department without listening to your concerns. Once connected to the department, the phone just rings out. When someone finally picks up, they tell you that they will have to call you back. Of course there’s no call back. I will never use Lowe’s again
Beware, gave a delivery date for a refrigerator, I got emailed to wait home on this specific day, it never came, they said that that was just an estimated date but the purchase receipt says delivery date not estimate and the email told me to wait at home why would they send me a email to wait at home for my delivery if it was just an estimate. other people had the same problem took over 3 weeks longer then the actual date they promised, 5 weeks in all. Do not buy a Appliance from them, there delivery dates are useless. And there attitude was horrific.
Some staff see very knowledgeable and others have no clue what they are doing. Everyone on staff is very friendly. Layout of the location is easy to understand and follow. When buying anything like appliances, do the leg work and research. Most models are Lowe exclusive, so they can always say they have the lowest price. Go online find out what makes it exclusive to other models of the same brand. You may find out something which is at a competitor with a different model number is nearly identical but cheaper.
I placed an online order for pickup. It was 1 planter box. I checked the website and it said ready for store pickup. On my way to the store I called 4 times and selected store pickup but the phone just kept ringing and ringing....I pull up to the Lowe’s and see an associate outside, I told them I’ve been calling for store pickup and no one is answering. Their response is “either keep calling until someone answers or wait on line they are very busy” mind you it was raining outside and it said ready for pickup. Horrible customer service he could have said what did you order? Once he realized it was one item he could have gotten it.... NEVER GO TO THIS LOWES!!!
I had only positive experiences during the several months I visited this store for my kitchen renovation (Jan 2016). We made several trips purchasing and returning items and never had a problem. I highly recommend that you consider Michael Desidoro as your kitchen project specialist. During the entire process he was knowledgeable, professional, patient and a genuinely kind person! Mike responded to all my phone calls and emails in a timely manner. I am 100% happy with the final project and thanks to Mike it was all completed with little stress!
Apparently the item i was purchasing had the wrong pricing on the bin it was picked from. Bin said item was 6.99. When I got to the register it rang at 9.99. Check the bar codes on the things you purchase here. This is not the first time that this has happened to me there.
Good store with lots of supplies but the customer service really kills the experience. Very few employees seem to know whats going on and half the time they just look annoyed or cold helping you. Prepare to get misguided to the wrong aisles, get scowled upon for asking directions and get ridiculous excuses if something is not available. Unfortunately this store is closer to me, but I dont mind going the extra mile to Home Depot.
Sometimes difficult to find items not in common use. Some to most of staff very knowledgable...some not really !Good variety of items for home renovation like wood molding, paint, cleaning products.We bought vegetable plants in spring and they are still growing and producing!
Went on memorial day for the sales, usually when I go on sale days to stores they have very limited items left or none at all. This time I found everything and alot of the merchandize was still in stock. I was very pleased with the sales people they were very helpful and didnt just point me in a general direction they walked me to what I needed. 👍
Such a terrible experience with this Lowe’s. First, they told us they would deliver a fridge, gave us a time and date, and then never showed up. We were the ones who had to follow up with Lowe’s only to find out they just forgot to tell us the delivery was cancelled because the fridge was damaged. What followed after several phone calls to even get this information, was them sending damaged fridge after damaged fridge, not being able to reach any one and then, after reaching someone, being transferred from person to person with empty assurances. Ultimately, gave up because it wasn’t worth all the suffering and frustration. Will never trust them again.
The salesman was helping someone else with keys when I was puzzled over which do to purchase as a family member keeps breaking into my room. He was very polite and informative of the products to tell me which is the best one to get. Thank you so much sir for your kind help.
Constant issues with self checkout machines, 1 cashier on duty.Went in for a weed puller, they only have one brand for more than Amazon.Bought it anyway just because I had gone through the trouble of going in and I was tired of reading reviews.No wonder I do more shopping on Amazon than on stores.
Went for an estimate on countertop replacement. The staff couldnt be bothered to help us and when we finally had a salesperson assist, she promised a follow-up call with an estimate to follow within 2 business days. Never heard a word. Would never return for service work.
Good place if you live near it, but home depot is the go to place. Lowes has many general items that most people use, but home depot has almost evberything, for example if you are looking for a very specific item like a compatible toilet handle, or bulk goods, home depot is the go to place, but Lowes has a good garden area with a large variety of flowers and seed. In the end of the day it is a convenient store if it is near by.
I have a story to tell. I went in just to get a new screen door. I left with anger deep in my soul. After going to isle 50 to get the screen kit, I head on to the check out 2 open, legitimately. Crazy right, 2, both lines out with at least 12 people in each. As we finally (slowly) reach next in line, a man had a few metal sheets he was buying apparently he didn’t get the ones to suit the cashier so 2 other workers walk over a cashier and a manager. Both super rude to the current cashier whom was trying her hardest. (The current cashier wasn’t the nicest either but, you can’t put your hopes too high) So after the man with the metal leaves a man with a beard walks out, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, they accused him of stealing when he used the checkout next to me! IF THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ME I would HAVE FLIPPED! I do not recommend this Lowe’s.
I did all of my bathroom renovation shopping from this place and my new bathroom looks awesome. They had great choices of floor as well as wall tiles. The chores of shower, bathtubs, vanity, sink and medicine cabinet made me buy all of the items from the same place. I ever oreed shower doors, Kamod, faucets and other small items from same place.
Done with lowes me & my family & friends are as well & just myself alone spends thousands there,last straw was 2 wasted days at one location I found a great deal on a clearance item but it was all sold out so I did what anyone would do & spent 10 minutes trying to find someone to help me to see if there were any more elsewhere so after a whole 2min of looking Im told no what was there was all that was left but he would check other stores for stock & price & he found then at another location at same clearance price with 5 in stock but after rushing there to find them in stock but not at the same price yet was told it was at same clearance price there so even with pictures & everything I was told by two separate employees rather rudely that they dont & wont honor the price so what did they take the price down before I got there? Ok anyways I call there customer service number & another 15 or 20 min later I finely get someone who agreed with me & told me to hold on while they call the store so another 17min later on hold she returns to say she tryed then a few times on different numbers & no one answered to phone but will be putting in a complaint about that & a manager would get back to me.. so the next day a manager gets back to me & leaves me a message saying that there sorry for any inconvenience & that they have the item in stock at the regular price & I can buy it for that price yea huh really then it started all over again this morning text messaging back & forth from 8am to after 1pm where it was almost like either the person responding was either illiterate or a computer but after everything explained another 3 or 4 times there solution was they can give me 10% off my next on line order or a $25 gift card...again really ok ya lost a lot of good customers lowes glad to see this is how you treat good customers just trying to shop in your stores!!!! Never again
I truly cant stand Lowes in general. Ive been to several and most of the staff has no clue what anything is or where to find it. Also, for some reason they dont actually staff their cash registers save the self-checkout, which is usually fine until you get stuck behind computer illiterate folks.
Just left Lowes in Bethpage. I showed up with a terrible amateur sketch of what I needed to change my deck railing. Thomas was an amazing customer service member who stayed late and helped me figure out a very complicated order. He was knowledgeable, patient and very thorough. Whatever he is earning should probably be doubled. He had been in the store since 5 am and was still so friendly and helpful - I hope his manager recognizes him in some way when I send a letter to the store.
Very difficult to find someone to help. Also I purchased appliances and they delivered me a damaged stove. Instead of offering me another one, they just credited me without saying anything and called it a day.I will not buy anymore appliances from them again. 🤨🙁.Ps. Lousy, lousy service.
Parents ordered 2 storm doors on July 4th. Told they were in stock and delivery/install would be in next few days. As of today- the 25th still waiting. Got the run around from managers, installers, etc as to where they were, when they are coming and now supposedly will be on the 31st? I want to cancel order at this point. Feel like the stir took advantage of two older people and put them at back of the line because they werent being pushy. Waiting some kind of legitimate explanation and compensation for this delay. I have other purchases to make but may just wait on the new Home Depot
I honestly am surprised that there are so many bad reviews of Lowes. I frequently shop at the Hicksville, Long Island, NY store and always come away pleased with the experience.I would guess that many if not most of the employees are older (60s), perhaps retired from other careers....theyre always helpful, polite and honest with their knowledge.During March 2015 I wrote a letter to Corporate praising one of their employees in plumbing (Kevin S.) for some money saving help he provided. What a great guy!
Went to the Lowes in Hicksville to get a Craftsman socket set. Checked online first and website said they had one in stock. Got to the store and associate in tool Dept could not find it. He said they had many pallets of Craftsman tools that are still in cartons, unpacked. To make matters worse, there were long lines to check out because the computers were not working properly. Total fail. Thats why Home Depot eats their lunch.
I bought components for a three section Freedom PVC fence and gate. When I unpacked everything I was slightly disappointed because one of the fence panel kits was missing two U strips, necessary to mount the fencing to the posts. Not a big problem. But then I found something when I opened up the gate hardware kit. It was not compatible with the gate panel that was recommended. It was not impossible to work around to fabricate a gate that may possibly work. But just the same, PVC fencing is not cheap and had a feeling that I was sold an item that even myself, a guy liking DIY projects, knew that it was going to be trouble after unpacking everything.
Horrible service during corona, and even after quarantine, unlike almost all other stores. Curbside pick up we had to call the store 3 times before they answered, and before purchasing when I had a product question I called several times with no one answering the line.
Terrible experience!!!!!! I went in to purchase 20- 55lbs bags of sand. I asked an employee if he could use the forklift to put the sand in my van since I have a bad back. His response was you cant load it yourself, we have woman that move these bags all day long here. He also said he couldnt use the forklift without a spotter and there wasnt one available, but he never looked for one. I went to complain to the manager and explained what had happened, he only made excuses for the employee.
I Love the Hicksville store.Everyone is so helpful including the cashiers. The associates really know theie products. My lawn was very green, and like a rug. They have great water timers and great electrical timers and outdoor search protectors .My Holiday lights look great ! Lowes had everything to connect all my lights, even round surge protectors for thoses bulky plugs.Ps: The customers are very friendly
I always shop here because its closer to my home then home Depot but with the new home Depot soon to open in levittown I will be only shopping there. Lowes customer service SUCKS if you dont need help with anything then the store is fine but when you do ask for help its never anyones department or they are slow rude and lazy. This is been going around for awhile based on other complains so obviously its clear that it is the Managers fault for allowing this to go on. At least home Depot helps you when you need it. Lowes home improvement in Hicksville is a complete disaster. The minute you need customer service assistance or require knowledgeable information the entire team falls apart. I used to love this location, however I never needed help. The one time I do require assistance because I purchased a large ticket item from them everything goes to hell. The level of inefficiency is completely ridiculous . My question is how exactly can they remain in business? Personally, I will no longer purchase anything at this store again. Save yourself the aggravation. Go elsewhere.
Tried to purchase stock kitchen cabinets to be delivered to the store for pickup. The computers were down and could not make the purchase. Then I wanted to purchase a few items for the same project and most of the registers were out of order or only took credit cards. Very disappointing experience at this store.
Hicksville 11801 Lowes on S. Broadway. We bought carpet from Lowes with free installation. They charged us for measurement and a contractor came and took measurements. We then selected the carpet and paid for it. It was supposed to be installed on mid October- 3rd week. They called us saying the carpet is in in mid october. No updates either from installer or Lowes till end of October. When we call the installer they say that they dont have carpet in their warehouse (Installer is Gemini services somewhere in suffolk). When we call Lowes they tell us to call installers. It is tough to get hold of the Lowes people, they are either not in or will just say that they will look into it but no real response. Installers have no clue and keep saying the estimate date of arrival is 27th October. Today is 11th November and they have done nothing. We are just repenting our decision to buy from Lowes. Worst customer care experience and no coordination with installers. It looks like our headache now to get this project done when we have paid for it a month back.DO NOT GO FOR BIG PROJECTS FROM THIS LOWES LOCATION IN HICKSVILLE. BUNCH OF CROOKS.
Dont even bother coming here for home installations. The staff in the windows and doors section is an absolute joke. They are unprofessional and keep telling you someone will come to your home to measure but nobody ever calls you. The one time I did get someone to come out, they stole from my house. They use shady contractors who cant land a job on their own. AVOID this Lowes!!
Horrible experience along with horrible customer service. Was sold the wrong type of brush to stain wood floors. Ended up going to home depot where they gave me the right brush and then had to purchase more stain to fix the floor. Employees should know something about what they are selling!
Was on the phone for over a half hour to get service. WHAT A TOILET of a STORE. the customer service is the worst i have ever experienced. i am shocked they are still in getting pay checks. Sara or Shara the store manager should be gathering the shopping carts in the lot. What a JACKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and that is being nice.

2021-08-20I contracted with Lowes of Hicksville to install a kitchen and bathroom in early 2019, to find out several weeks later that the entire installation program was being shut down by corporate. At that point, communication between anybody completely broke down but I was already on the hook for having purchased the materials so the installation went forward. As installation commenced, the person who sold me the kitchen was terminated by Lowes due to corporate restructuring, so he completely checked out of my project. Two years later and $35000 later, I have more problems than ever with my kitchen due to shoddy workmanship. The saddles on the laminate floor have all buckles and ripped, the grout in my tiles is all falling out, and the cabinetry is a mess. One cabinet in particular is completely crooked and none of the drawers on it glide shut as a result. Furthermore the knobs on it were not installed in a level manner (one is offset from the other by 3/8 of an inch) and the failure to shim the cabinet from underneath has led to the entire stretch of cabinets sagging in the middle. You can also see that the installers left adhesive inside some of the cabinet drawers that I have not been able to get off no matter what substance I use. At the time I tried to fix some of these problems with the person who sold me the kitchen and later with corporate, but getting anybody on the phone was difficult enough in itself and I gave up. The most I ever got as far as a response was to have one of the project managers tell me Its your kitchen now. What a nightmare - logistically and in terms of work quality. I hate my kitchen.

2022-06-26I went to Lowes for a simple plastic scraper and to explore some LED lighting fixtures. The visit was a success as I found the scraper and saw some different types of LED lighting. They seem to have what I need, in the store, the majority of the timeOccasionally I have to order something if it isnt in one of the other nearby stores. Orders tend to arrive within a short period of time! I know that I will continue to shop at Lowes whenever I need to.

2022-04-16I would give them 0 star if I could. Ordered 23 bags of mulch to last Sat to pick up but received an e-mail from Lowe’s saying my ordered has been picked up already. This is so ridiculous that I did not even show up. Called them 3 times and they just ignore me or saying manager is reviewing the security camera. No one ever called me back regarding the status after a week. Never order from the again online and you should be aware too!!!!!!! Another weird thing is I checked the order status over the phone and it says order being picked up on 1/1/2022 but my order is on 4/9/22.

2022-05-20While at the register in the garden center I was unable to see the prices I was being charged. I asked the cashier how much it was and he ignored me. I swiped my credit card and found out that I was being overcharged. I explained the simple math and he acted like I was speaking a foreign language. He told me he was the store manager. When I told him that I had the price verified by an employee he told me “he has no idea what he is doing” Not only is this manager terrible with customers he is even worse to his employees by insulting them to customers. Lowes should do better turn the register display so customers can see what they are paying and hire managers who understand math and know how to speak to customers and employees.

2022-06-28I ordered a BBQ online and went to pick it up. I pulled in the spot, filled out the app on my phone and let them know that I was there and sat there.....and sat there.....and sat there. Nobody came to help me. I had to go inside and ask somebody if they would please check on my order. I told the woman where my car was and she went in the store. She came out with my BBQ on a cart and pushed the cart toward my truck and walked away. The rolling cart almost hit my brand new truck!! Thank god my son grabbed it fast enough!!

2022-05-25We tried out the Blue Rhino Propane tank swap at this location and has been an absolute nightmare. We live 20 minutes away and had to drive back to the location 3 times because they keep giving is faulty tanks where the propane does not come out. We’ve called the location 10 times for them to just issue us a refund and they keep hanging up on us. Horrible customer service, do not recommend this place at all.

2022-02-17Clean and well organized but missing a lot of tile available. Impossible to buy enough to do a shower when they only have 2-3 boxes of each. I could swear they used to have a larger selection years ago.

2022-06-07If you need propane dont go to Lowes in Hicksville. After waiting 20 minutes no one ever showed up to do the exchange and I had to go get a refund. I suggest going to U-Haul its walking distance to Lowes located at 1000 S Broadway
