They refused my return. The item was not used and in new condition. I even had the receipt. It cost $1.97. When I asked to talk to the store manager or an assistant store manager I was told none were working that day. I dont believe them. Left without making the return.
Easy in, easy out, except for today. All of the salt is stocked on pallets in front of the exit. Load your cart, and then you cant get in to pay! So, go to the other door, find a cart if you can, go to the exit door and leave the cart in the door so it doesnt lock you out, load with bags of salt then proceed to self checkout. Whomever came up with this setup really needs some retraining, too bad you cant teach common sense. Was a 5 star from me, minus 2 stars for sheer incompetence with the worst setup possible.
I needed a small picket fence for around my Christmas tree because I have a tiny little puppy who likes to chew things. Found one right in the outdoor department perfect for what I needed it for spray painted and white put it around my tree and it looks great. And the staff was very helpful even during these crazy times we were living in!
I visited Lowes kitchen design for some help with a kitchen renovation. There was only one customer assistance person at the kitchen area. While many customers are waiting for help, the customer rep (Mike) who works in kitchen design was helping a customer for an hour . Service was slow because the customer that the Kitchen Rep (Mike) was helping was on the phone having a conversation on speaker phone at home with someone else unrelated to kitchen design.rather than this Rep inform the customer to focus on details of the help she needs he informed her take your time and finsih the conversation and hell wait. This is improper customer help practice and rude to other customers.
Just awful experience. I placed two store pick-up orders in the course of 2-weeks and they managed to get both orders incorrect and sneakily gave me damaged items mixed in with my first order. The second order, I waited over 25-minutes only to find out that the Naval Paint I ordered, per my receipt and order summary, was not even colored properly. Had to then wait another 20-min to have it properly colored. Save your time and money and go to another hardware store, this place is just atrocious.
Manager never gets back to you and I never received my washer. The appliance section customer service reps were not helpful at all. Corporate customer service was finally able to cancel my order since the manager did not answer the phone. Still no washer and had them pick up the dryer too. No real apology or anything for my inconvenience. I really like Lowes but this experience was not a good one.
Drove 40 minutes to buy 2 tools the website said were at that location. Not there, nobody around to look them up to see if they were relocated. I left, went across the street to HD, spent $1,200 and got what I came for. I am not a big HD fan but they came through this time. I cannot waste time away from the shop so Newburgh Lowes is done for me.
Worst Lowes in Orange County! Ordered Floors,get half order delivered.Get hung up on over and over, after waiting 20-40min on hold.No one knows anything about my order,or where the other half went. Asked for mngr, theres always an excuse why he isnt around. Sched new delivery, takes 2 more weeks. Delivery guy in Rental Truck, drops half the load, from the lift when its raised, damaging bout 10 boxes of flooring. Then damages my NEW Asphalt driveway with skit and dolly, leaving holes and digging track marks, then insults my wife because she is complaining. I speak with Asst Mngr he sends me an email with all managers attached, No one does anything. I speak with corporate, they cant reach anyone by phone either, or the manager, they give me a useless Claim number, thats it. Another employee tells me, this isnt the 1st time its hapnd, with delivery guy. Months later, im still trying to get driveway fixed from their delivery guys insurance because LOWES SAYS ITS NOT THEIR PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK WITH THIS STORE. STILL HAVENT RECEIVED EVEN an apology from this store. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OFFICIALLY DEAD WITH THIS STORE.
Had one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I saw a great sale. I even had a floor associate verify the sale. Yet when I went register it did not ring up correctly. Told the cashier and he got a manager. When he came over he said the sign must have been wrong or the item was in the wrong spot. After explaining a floor associate verified the sale a lady in plain clothes said that it still must be the wrong item then in a nasty rudely tone asked do you want it or not? So after that I will never shop at this Lowes again. Such a shame they cant honor what other sales associates and signs say. Nothing but scammers in this store.
Horrible service. Ordered an oven, the delivery company they use (Xpo logistics) REFUSED to deliver down my driveway because they didn’t bring a hand truck and didn’t want to carry it. So they came back the next day costing me TWO days from work. About two weeks later we ordered a bee dishwasher. They then delivered it to the WRONG ADDRESS. When I finally got a hold of someone they then delivered me a totally different dishwasher than the one I ordered. It was trash, the poorest of quality. I started an exchange/return, they promptly picked THEIR product up, then I drove all the way from Sullivan County to Newburgh to purchase a new better quality one on Tuesday the 1st, was told it would be delivered Thursday to make sure someone was home to sign for it. Took off of work for a THIRD time. Delivery never came. Took me TWO days to get someone on the phone. They have no idea why it wasn’t delivered. Was told it MIGHT be delivered tomorrow (Saturday) between 8am and 8 pm. So now a FOURTH day of missed work for Lowe’s horrible delivery service and customers service. Will never be using Lowe’s again. They have cost me over $1000 in missed work waiting for deliveries that either never came or came with the wrong appliance. They offered me a $50 refund if I came to pick it up myself. That’s how much gas it takes to drive to this location from my house. What a waste of time and money. What disrespect from a horribly ran company. Me and me real estate and landscaping company will no longer conduct business with Lowe’s. We Weill work strictly with Home Depot from now on.
The Newburgh Lowes has Terrible customer service and the appliance sales person was totally unprofessional. My wife purchased a Frigidaire stove and she acted totally removed from the whole purchasing process. When the stove was delivered it was damaged with several big dents on the side and back.My wife returned to the store and the same salesperson totally ignored her. My wife finally got tired of waiting and being totally ignored. She went to the Front service desk and ask to speak to a manager to see what solutions they would offer. They discounted $77.00 dollars off the stove. She took the discount and gave up on having it returned. My wife didn’t want to wait any longer at the store. So she didn’t report the sales lady.This store needs to retrain employees on how to deal with customers. Lowe’s also needs to improve the management of this location.
I normally prefer Lowes but this visit was a bad experience to start with I was almost run over in the parking lot come to find out it was by a young cashier with red hair that was apparently late for work. Then when checking out a second young male cashier did not listen or pay attention when I asked him to check the price on something he just run it up and continued ringing other items and then did not know how to apply my military discount.
Ordered a ladder on line said was in stock, pick up same day, and would get confirmation when it was available. Next day with no communication went to the store in Newburgh and found that there was absolutely none at the store Norton stock. At what point in time do you think they would communicate this to the customer.
The kitchen and cabinet area has poor management and workers. I do not recommend using them to remodel your kitchen. I asked for the measurements of my kitchen which I paid for but the manager didnt have authority or access to my information. After waiting for months for a kitchen layout by the designer and two failed meetings I asked for my money back. The keep giving me the run around. Asked for manager or supervisor and no one would pick up the phone or return my money.
Purchased few items I politely said Hello is register was open?, cashier did not respond, I stated I guess you are, no response. After items checked and paid , I stated THANK YOU, No response from cashier. Wow this young lady should be informed that the customer do pay there salaries . The cashier should recieve mandatory course in hospitality
My wife and I usually go Lowes for prettying the home as oppose to home depot. There are times when we do need customer service and find it very difficult to find it. There was one particular rep. named Kayla in the window blinds dept. that changed that....she was very helpful to us. Very professional and courteous to us. Also very patient with us, eventhough we gave her the run around. We appreciate quality service like this when we visit a dept store we really dont need to be at. Service experience like hers makes us want to come back. Thank you for hiring her!
2 stars since the manager and assistant manger are super nice. The employees under them are completely clueless and most have terrible customer service skills.When calling the store rarely does someone actually pick up and if they do pick up they will hang up on you. What kind of business does this????
Today my wife and I drove an hour to buy a particular item we had ordered 3 times at a closer Lowes store, which kept us misinformed and cancelled all 3 times. When we got to that other store, who listed 17 pieces of the item we drove the 1 hour to get, we were told they didnt have it. We called before driving there, but we got no answer. We decided to search the store for the item. Half our later we found it. I guess just for the sake of persistence, we should had gotten a store discount. From not having any, we found a pile of about more than 20 of them.
Visited this store on Friday April 30th to pick up a curbside item as I could not go into the store. I waited 53 minutes and nobody ever came out with the item even though I called three times and was told itll just be a couple minutes. I left without getting it.I came back again a few days later and tried using the app to let them know that I had arrived. Nobody came out after 15 minutes. I called the store six times, nobody answered. I finally got a hold of someone and was told to go on hold. Anyway, after 10 more minutes, someone finally came out with the item. It took an hour and a half for this curbside to finalize. Terrible customer service.
Nobody helps you. I cleared all my credit cards to buy carpet and not ONE associate of Lowes asked....CAN I HELP YOU, OR DID YOU NEED ASSISTANCE, OR YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING. I know people watch you on cameras and have people follow you around. Funny nobody sent anyone to the carpet area again. Oh did mention this was the second time we stood in the carpet area with no assistance or associate. Funny... a pandemic is going on. Your store is open for business but no one wants to work to make real money. Come to this store if you know what you want and you are good at helping yourself.
Every Saturday I usually take a trip to this Lowes with my dog first thing in the morning. That will definetly stop since customer service has gone way down. I went in person to order trim for my windows. I placed my order and set up pickup for the next day. I never received a confirmation email that it was ready to pick up so in the late afternoon I went by to see if it was ready. No one had any idea of my order and were unsure if i was supposed to pick it up, even though it said on my receipt pick up with the date i was supposed to pick it up. Then I was passed on to a flustered employee who was running around looking for my order. Come to find out that my order was never put together so the employee now started to put trim on a cart and brought it down to me. Only to find out it was the wrong trim. I explained this to them and no one seemed to know what to do. Then they did not have the trim I originally ordered. I canceled my order and went to the Chester lowes which was an even worse experience. Will never shop at lowes again.
Normally I shop at Lowes. They had no Spring flowers are veggie plant in stock. The plant they did have looked dead. Also, this store is normally very clean and organized. Today it was a mess. Stuff was everywhere. Some isles you couldnt even get a cart through. Im wondering if they have recently changed managment..
The store as a whole has given me excellent service throughout my multiple and ongoing building renovations. My complaint is with an employee, Adam, hence the one star. I had approached the manager about a door I had purchased and hung, only to find it was a 30x80 and not a 32x80 as labeled. Adam was instructed by the manager to arrange for a new door to be delivered to me as a swap. Adam did not do so. I had to call customer service after a few days of waiting, explained the situation again to Michaela, who arranged for the delivery after discovering Adam had not made any arrangements. I was unable to swap out the old door when the new door was delivered (a Saturday, I had no one to help me get the door off), so I told the delivery men that I would bring the old door to Lowe’s Monday instead. They agreed and documented this on the paperwork, and I signed. By evening, however, I received an angry call from Adam, accusing me of deception. I was in disbelief. The door is returned, but I still can’t get over Adam’s assault on my integrity. Next time please just ask politely; loyal customers like me appreciate the courtesy.
Lowes is Lowes and if you know what you need and where its located in the store its a decent shopping experience. Store is always dark and aisles are not well lighted. Good luck in trying to find an associate if you need assistance. Cashiers are a rare commodity in this store and they really force you to use the self checkout. Garden center is usually locked and unattended in the mornings requiring to bring your merchandise through the store to checkout - again, its a Lowes, not Nordstroms 😀
I just left the store after being happily assisted by Mark. He took us all over the store for the things we needed. He held all of our items and deposited them in a cart for us. He said I now have room for the light bulbs that are at an amazing price. Funny thing is it worked! I did not need them but left with 2 boxes. What kind of Jedi mind trick is that Mark
I went to order new kitchen cabinets and countertops. They were so helpful I was immediately greeted by such nice, helpful people. I was amazed at how fast I was able to get an appointment. I got an appointment with such a wonderful man. His name is Miroslav. He was so patient, helpful and so understanding of exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend using Lowe’s. Thank you.
Needed to purchase a foam applicator to stain my deck with. Went in and to the paint department, and talked to an employee, and explained what I was looking for, and the purpose that I needed the items. She was very friendly and helpful showing me where the items were that I was looking for. Being a week day store was not crowded. Was able to pick up the items I needed and proceed to checkout. Cashiers was friendly and was able to apply my military discount with no problem. Thru checkout in under five minutes.
Your assistance in purchase and install is far to long. I was in store a week or so ago. Decided on what I wanted, I pay $35. Someone comes in measures.and sees what they need for installation. That takes 2 days minimum before Im contacted by the store to come in and pay for purchase. I am 5 minutes from the store, its got to be a better way. If I could find a faster way to deliver an appliance, I will not deal with Lowes.
Great experience at Lowe’s in Newburgh. Miro, in the kitchen department, designed and ordered our cabinets for us. He was very knowledgeable and professional through out the process. We hired an independent contractor for installation. Everything is finished and we couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen.
Every time I go into this location there is NEVER anyone around to help customers. Every time I special order something it comes in wrong. Today I went in to get some paint and NO ONE wanted to help me!! When someone finally decided she wanted to help me she gave me the BIGGEST ATTITUDE ever. I cant begin to tell you how much money I spend in this store!!! Theres a home Depot across the street from them. I got immediate help with appreciation from their associate!!! I guess home Depot is my go to place from now on!!!!
The worst customer service! Ordered a $1200 refrigerator online. I called Newburgh store and was hung up on 3 times, there is something very wrong with their phone system. I called the main corporate customer service and after a 45 min. wait to speak to someone, she basically read to me my email confirmation without any additional information. They called the night before the delivery date and told me it wasnt going to be delivered and they didnt know when it would be. Didnt offer to find out why or when and said I should just wait to hear from them. Tried the local store again days later and you cant get through their phone system, is just cycles around. When I tried the corporate again, it would be another 45 minute wait (not coincidental), so I hung up. I have no refrigerator. The worst service on both ends!
I want to post a Negative 5 stars (-5). This will be a somewhat long review. Filled with details and accuracy.I went to the Newburgh Lowes November 20th. I purchased the craftsman t-100 (riding lawn mower).My family in particular has been besieged by Covid 19. I state that inorder to provide texture. I have maxed my cards, and spent a lot of cash to provide support, fiscal, medical etc.So to my delight Lowes worked with Progressive Leasing. So I could treat myself to a necessary purchase and pay bi weekly, cool.I made the purchase, they told me it would come in from another store location the following week, cool.Unbeknownst to everyone the cashier did not read the screen correctly and the T100 from the other store were damaged. My wife called at the end of the week. She was spoken to in a condescending manner by the store manager himself. He called to speak to me later, because I was the name on the purchase. He informed me of the cashiers error, and he told me that he would provide an upgrade, but he would have to physically check to see if it was at his location, then call me back. HE NEVER CALLED BACK.I went to the store several hours later, I had to explain the Entire movie again. Customer service contacted the same manager, he was impatient from the start. He instructed the customer service individual as to what to do. There an inability to provide the upgrade do to the progressive leasing format.I didnt care about an upgrade, I just wanted the lawnmower I walked in the store for. He became irate and abusive over the phone , unaware apparently that I (the customer) could hear him.I requested that he show his face and speak to me directly.He gave an excuse for his behavior, not an apology. (Management is about juggling issues until you formulate solutions). Dont be a manager.I left with the impression that I would receive my mower the following week , free delivery.That was a paper promise.Reality is I received no mower and no call. I went back, and canceled the purchase .The manager had no class, no professionalism, no courteous approach, no understanding that he has to supply the goods for the customer and manage any disruption in the process.I spoke to several individuals and apparently this is not an isolated incident.I simply wanted the merchandise, not a favor or attitude. The Lowes there is HORRIBLE.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Lowes Newburgh. I received a damaged refrigerator and should have had this addressed in a timely manner. As the customer, I have had to go above and beyond what is reasonable just to have my concerns heard.I have spent over 2 hours on the phone.I have had to drive there in person, 35-40 minutes out of my way.I have had to wait 35-40 minutes for a manager, Andrew, that never came to meet with me.I met with the storefront manager who offered me no more then the current sale price of the item I purchased 3 days before.A price match is something guaranteed on their website. Not an above and beyond resolution for sending a customer a damaged item and having them spend 4 hours out of their day trying to reach someone.In frustration, I said I rather return the item and that is what was done.I am still waiting for them to pick up the item, so that I can then wait however many days to be refunded my money so that I can go and purchase a new fridge.Returning the item and receiving my money back is not compensation for the lack of refrigerator and time I have spent out of work for delivery and dealing with this inability to offer any reasonable level of customer service.

2022-04-05I went in to the store with my friend and she was looking for information on the ring doorbell system. We were greeting with a warm friendly smile by an associate named Evan. I believe he worked in the customer service department and he noticed that we were looking at several doorbell systems. He asked us if we needed help with anything and my friend told him that she was interested in the ring doorbell system. Evan told her that a family member actually had two different kinds and he kindly called the family member and let my friend speak to them to get all the information needed to make a decision on her purchase. I’ve never seen anyone in my entire life go above and beyond with this kind of customer service. Evan is a great asset to your store and sets the bar extremely high when it comes to customer service.

2022-06-05I ordered a refrigerator and dishwasher to be delivered but not installed. The night before the delivery I had a voicemail stating what was being delivered and the approximate time. On day of delivery, May 20th, only the fridge was delivered. The delivery men didn’t have any paperwork about the dishwasher. I contacted the store and after a tremendous time of being placed on hold several times and rerouted, I finally spoke to a girl who said they were waiting for it to arrive at the store. I’m having a new kitchen installed and there was enough time at this point that I could wait a little while.Two weeks later, no call, no update, nothing. My kitchen is being installed this week. I called the store again and after about 45 minutes of being on hold, switched around, hung up on, I was again, finally able to talk to someone and was informed there is a delivery date of 6/17/22. Not one call from the store to follow up with me and keep me informed of any of this. The complete lack of them communicating with me completely changed my opinion of even wanting the dishwasher. My kitchen will be finished at this point.I decided to drive to the store and refund the purchase and talk to a manager. The woman at returns was very friendly and started the refund while we waited for the manager to show up. This was on 6/3/22. The manager came over, approved the refund, and walked away. Not once, while he was there, did he even acknowledge I was even standing there. When he walked away I asked the woman, just to be certain that he was a manager, and she said yes and then she remembered that I wanted to talk to him. I told her never mind. If he wasn’t interested in me being there, as a customer, then he probably wasn’t going to be interested in what I had to say anyway. I told her to let him know that.Not that all of our appliance purchases over the years really make a big difference to the financial success of the company (around $7,000), I will never shop there again. I’m glad The Home Depot is right across the street.

2022-01-13I checked online for some wall paneling, bead board. Supposedly had 19 in stock. When i looked,the shelf was empty.After spending a half hour with customer service and waiting for help i decided to pack it in.In desperation i went back to the section one more time just to make sure i didnt miss something. Luck was with me i ran into a very helpful knowledgeable employee. His name was George and he told me to wait there while he checked around.Well he found them and told me they had to get the forklift driver, Sal to get them down. Both guys were extremely helpful and saved me some aggravation.

2022-03-16This store has serious restocking and inventory issues, how can you have items in the store that doesn’t scan or show 56 items available on the website and none of the floor sales associates have an idea of where to locate the items, if this would’ve happened one time it’s fine, this is literally the 5 or 6 tile I take a 30 minute drive to end up spending 2 hours at the counter 🤦♀️ the management need to get it together. Not the cashiers.

2022-05-22I ordered a stove and microwave. I knew it would take a bit, to make a long story short, I got the stove 4 weeks after I was promised. I never got the microwave. here is the kicker, after waiting a month and being promised I would get it, Lowes re did the ticket presumably to re enter the order . Some how they refunded my credit card to a store card. In the end I took a different microwave, for $150 less, but because they re did the ticket, I was forced to take a store gift card for the difference. The never talked to me first, just did what was easy, then told me too bad. The staff really tried to fix the issue, the management team could care less. If I did what they did at my job, I would be out of a job, or working there I guess.

2022-04-03Worst telephone customer service, they put you on hold for extended periods and do not help you. I had an estimate done for my flooring and one month later I still have not received the estimate. I walked into the store and I was told by the rep in the flooring department that he would reach out to the individuals that did the estimate so they up load it; one week later still no estimate.

2022-03-24I went to makea purchase from the garden department. The employees where very helpful it was early on a Monday morning. The problem began when my Lowes card wouldnt work. After several attempts and her getting instructions over the phone I paid with A different card. Now at this point Im annoyed and didnt check my receipt until I got home. I GO back the next day with one of the 16 brick that I purchased which should have been 68 but the cashier put the wrong number and I was charged 2.05 per brick. The customer service desk informed me that I had ALREADY been refunded When I told her to check my receipt date it was only 24 hours prior she said THE COMPUTER SAID. Im still waiting for someone to tell how I got a refund and I still have my card. The rude and I dont give a darn attitude is not good.

2022-07-04I gave Lowes a 2nd chance for purchase of kitchen counters, and regret doing so.Had appointment with Mike, we were looking for laminate counter top. This was our budget. He tells us he doesnt know alot about laminate because no one really buys it anymore and says my husband isnt handy because we asked that the contractor remove the old counter tops (my husband had major surgeries and shouldnt be doing these things). I should have walked but was excited to start our project.We get a call from Mike that the laminate we chose is more money (it was from the row he directedus to) and bevel is more (bevel? We asked for bevel?)So we arrange a 9:00 appt. for clarification. Hes not there. Theres a book that shows my name for 9:00, but shows his shift starts at 10. I leave a message with associate that Ill be in the store and I circle back at 9:45 to find Mike working on a contract with another customer. He asks if I wrote in the 9:00 appt (he did!!!), lies that the associate didnt tell him I was in the building (she said she certainly did)!! I complained to management and was asked to give Lowes a second chance.I did this morning. 10:00 appointment confirmed through email. What was in that appointment book? Her shift starts at 10:30. And who told me? Mike !!! Like I want to wait a half an hour to do business with this guy 6 ft away.Not good Newburgh Lowes. Not good. Insulted. Misdirected. Lied to. Inconvenienced.

2022-04-20These days it takes 2 associates to take care of 1 customer. They dont even acknowledge another customer waiting. So then they actually sent me packing with no service. They told me I would have to wait 30 minutes for service as they walked away chatting. I will not come back to this store. They have disappointed more than 2x.
