Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Went to Oswego Lowes today and was ready to check out. The only check out line was an automated register with a clerk helping a customer use it. She said this is the only checkout register. I proceeded to put my merchandise down and walked out. When Lowes first came to Oswego you had all kinds of people on the floor helping us customers. Now u cant find help and then to not have a person on at least one register is a disgrace. Talk about eliminating jobs you should be ashamed of yourselves.I will take my business to our original stores of Burkes and Ace Hardware, where they have real people to help the customers not machines..Very disappointed.Rich BowmanOswego.
Went in to look at some stone work for my garden, could not seem to find exactly what I was looking for… so I stopped an associate in seasonal, very friendly guy, so helpful, very knowledgeable on the things carried in the store which was super helpful as I get lost in all the aisles in the store. He too the time to walk me in the right direction and even helped me load my items into my buggy as they were very heavy. I highly recommend coming to this location and asking for Alex if you need any sort of help. Thanks Alex for being so kind and sticking it out through this pandemic! Give this guy 5 gold stars and a promotion!!!! These are the kind of folks we need in customer service !!!!
I bought a 279 dollar lazer and when i opened it i seen it was resealed . It then had a dremel battery and a 40 dollar lazer in it i had no intention of ever returning it and opened it a week later. Now there is nothing that can be done. I spend alot of money at lowes aint haopening anymore
Excellent, Cassanra was very professional with my purchase of John Deere lawn mower even after my debt card was turned down twice. So, after a trip to the bank, which I needed to up my daily limit to three thousand, she continued my purchase without a problem. You are lucky to have such an knowledgeable and helpful employee.
Prices are very high, if you can find the things you need else where I reccomend doing that. Price is just ridiculous! The person I was checking out with was hitting on me and making me very uncomfortable. He kept on talking and asking me personal questions. If I ever need something at Lowes Ill go to the one in Clay.
This is an online order, not specifically about Oswego location. Placed an order for a canopy on 7/2. Estimated delivery was 4-5 days. The day after the order it was delayed by about 5 days. No big deal, fast forward and now It has now been 26 days, the freight company can not locate it, I have called Lowes 5 times, but their process is to escalate it to the carrier again. All I want is a refund or to have it ordered and shipped again. The website still says I can order the item and have it in 3 days. I dont care if it was shipped directly from a 3rd party company, I ordered it from Lowes, they should refund me and they can fight with the other companies on the back side. They should not make the customer suffer.
I usually dont have any complaints about this location. Although, on this particular visit, I do have one.I went there looking for 1 specific item. I needed a diamond coated cut off wheel for glass. They did have many diamond wheels to choose from, but none of them were for glass. They were either for ceramic or marble/granite. You would think that with all there different kinds, that at least one of them would have been for glass. That was not the case however on this particular visit, which is why I only gave 4 stars. This experience certainly wouldnt keep me from returning to this store, but nevertheless, it would have been nice to have bought what I needed.
If I could give a Zero I would! I purchased a stove, delivery and installation a month ago - I was told the stove would be delivered on Tuesday… No show. No call. I’ve had over 20 calls with the store and their “service” and all I’ve been told is that there are a lot of problems with the new “service”. So here I am, no stove, and still no call back from anyone to resolve this issue. Go anywhere but here!
I came in the other day and met a man named Neil who worked there. He was kind, helpful and actually knew his stuff! I am fairly new to tools as I just started my first project ever (converting a van to a camper) he was so helpful! Any time I need something Ill be looking for him to help me while Im in the store. Stores need more people like Neil. Thank you again man.
I was looking for low light house plants and Wal-Marts garden center had nothing, plus no help from employees. Lowes had so many options that I came back the next day for more. The employees were also actually helpful too, and offered to grab me a cart as I tried to balance 4 potted plants in my arms at once. I will be back for more plants until my home is a jungle! Its also SUPER cool that you can walk your dog there. Even if I dont take advantage of it for my own pooch.
Receiving hours 7am-4pm. Oh but you cannot deliver until theyre done loading theyre trucks. Wait, so then youre reviving hours are actually 8-4. Thanks for wasting my time, fuel and money. Sincerely, an owner operator whose truck and trailer cannot turn around in your recieving entrance.
This store in Oswego has to be the worst. At 12:15 pm, only 2 registers were open & there had to be at least 10 people deep in each line with no measures in place for safe social distancing! Did not feel safe here so I took my money & spent it else where, even if it cost a few extra dollars! And the crazy thing was, there was staff that kept walking around & back & forth doing nothing......
Ive been here ONCE and I approached a lady at a register that was open, she came off very rude as if we interrupted her conversation with another employee while she was currently working. We were gonna make two separate transactions but for the second item we were buying she put it underneath her register without asking us if we were going to purchase it. And the store was quite hard to navigate but then again it was my first time there.
Terrible customer service, I did not expect , I went to purchase for my home carpet . First of all no one in carpet section to help , so I took pictures of model and type of carpet to customer service , ETERNITY came to help me , I saw from my I phone to select carpet and she started talking sooooo rude and nasty with me . After I explain her , she was not well train and educate regards her job . That’s bad part of management . Another black guy came n help me . Do not stop in Oswego Lowe’s . I will give my business to somewhere else . Will report to corporate office also .
It speaks lengths that Im editing my already poor review of Oswego Lowes. Theres been at least four times weve called the store direct or gone online and an employee or the computer has said something is in stock and it is not after driving all the way there. Weither it be plants ,wood or tools the employees are clueless about the products they carry. Customers should not have to educate staff on simple products like wood ,plants and tools that a hardware store carries and states they have . So over this inadequate service. We drive to home depot in another county for product that is there when stated and staff that is smart enough to know products they carry.
Associate Richard that helped us was a complete jerk. Almost had me pull my own exterior door out of the rack, didnt offer to carry the door and told me If I wanted a cart, they were around the corner. Told customer service about it. Hope he gets a much needed attitude adjustment. Have always had a great experience until today.
The first issue that I had was with some island lights I ordered. After waiting longer than expected to get them, I called customer service and I was informed that the order had been cancelled (by Lowes) because the lights were unavailable . A phone call would have been nice to let me know. If I had not called them, I would still be waiting.Second issue : had them deliver a range exhaust hood. The one they delivered was damaged AND it wasnt even the same one that we had ordered. We had to return it to get the right one.Third issue: and the most important one, we ordered our kitchen appliances there. We were given three different dates for delivery, finally tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for. We got an email confirming the delivery date .They are coming between 8 & 12 NOT !!!!!!!!! we just got a call (after getting an email yesterday to confirm) telling us the appliances we ordered on July 11th are on back order and we will have to wait a couple of more weeks. Guess what, WRONG again !!! You can keep them, we will shop elsewhere ..
Yesterday 7-9-21 went to Lowes, Oswego NY and retrieved my online order of a propane cooking grill and other grilling items. Everything went smoothly and only took 15 minutes to get all my items. The girls at the pick-up desk were very helpful and professional. Loading the grill into my car was easily done with the help of a customer by the name of Carl from the Oswego ny school system. I recommend Lowes online shopping service.
This Lowes is cluttered and generally, poorly arranged. Its frequently so cluttered that you cant negotiate some aisles with a cart.It may just be my experience, but all my interactions with the Pro Desk have been exercises in frustration and tests of my patience. They are painfully slow, have never called when quotes or supplies come in (despite insisting they will), and are seldom priced better than local competitors.
We will never shop at this store again and we will be canceling our store credit card, read on and hear why. We bought a fixer upper 8 years ago and have spent roughly $10k per year since. We bought $2500 in tile this month and a $1500 snowblower last month. And thats only what we have bought for ourselves, not to mention the side projects for friends and family. We have the assistant managers cell phone number! My husband has been a contractor since 1976, he knows his stuff. As part of the job we buy tons of 2 painters tape for every use under the sun. I think we wrapped Christmas presents with it one year. The thing about blue tape is that, in time, it will change properties and not be as effective. This can also happen if its improperly stored or if it gets wet. One of the clear signs of old/damaged tape is that it wont come off the roll in one piece. 99% of the time we are too busy and we just throw bad tape away, this time, we had the time and we decided to exchange the defective tape and thats where things got out of control. 2 painters tape retails $6.50. Hubby went into the store to just get a simple exchange, a roll of bunk tape for a new roll. The cashier running the service desk was fine with the exchange but she needed a manager to pull a single roll off the shelf and get a product number. She called over the head cashier Shannon. Shannon (representing herself as a manager even though shes only lead cashier) apparently had a bad day. She assaulted my hubby with attitude. She refused to get the product from the shelf and moreover refused to check our credit card to see if we had bought blue tape recently, which we had, both in single roll and multipack. She refused to look up any purchase on the credit card, even though she didnt need it in order to exchange the tape roll for roll. The poor woman at the station, who knows us well, tried to tell Shannon that we were valued customers. But Shannon shot her a look. We didnt even want money we just wanted an exchange! None of that mattered to Shannon, she was in a bad mood and unleashed that bad mood on my husband. My husband rightfully asked for a manager to try to take control of the situation. After all, a $5 roll of tape is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Enter Spencer the acting manager on duty. Spencer decided that he needed to don a superhero cape and save Lowes corp and the lead cashier from what was obviously some kind of nefarious plot hatched by my husband who wanted to exchange his faulty tape for $5 worth of good tape. Spencer refused to make the exchange, refused to look up the purchase with the credit card and with a white boy smirk told my husband there was nothing he could do. My husband wasnt angry about the exchange (or lack of) he was upset that he was being treated in a dismissive, disrespectful and borderline criminal manner. My husband told him specifically that if this matter couldnt be resolved he would no longer shop at Lowes. Spencer said that was fine. My husband reiterated if you refuse this exchange I will never set foot in this store again, Spencer said Thats fine. We have been loyal Lowes customers for years, every store has its policy and thats to be expected. But we werent trying to pull one over, we just wanted an exchange. This evenings altercation was far from ordinary but if thats the new status quo this store is no longer worth shopping at. Again the exchange wasnt the point, they couldve said no in a respectful and understanding manner, but we were looked down upon and treated disrespectfully. Its a shame because we have built relationships with every person in every department. Lowes is fantastic for finding folks who really know their stuff. But if we cant get the basics of customer service we simply cannot shop there. And we cant recommend any one else shop there either.
Cory in lawn and garden should look for work somewheres else.very rude. Tried twice to walk up to her to ask were the out door fire pits were turned walked the other way. Then took off came back with drink 15 minutes later .talking on phone. Finally some answers . Home Depot is much much better. No more lows for me. Same thing every time. Load lumber myself so on...
Ordered cabinets, stove and a fridge from Lowe’s. Only the fridge came in on the day everything was supposed to be delivered. They didn’t want to bring it into the location and when they did they tracked mud all over my carpet. The black fridge has white scratches on the side and overall I am very upset with how the item was delivered.
Our 10 year old freezer decided it didnt want to freeze anymore and food started thawing quickly. Our local Lowes about a mile away didnt have what we needed ( space issue ) and referred us to the Oswego store 30 miles away that had one that would work for us.Called and spoke with SHANNON who understood our urgency and went out of her way to get the replacement delivered and installed within 24 hours ( food saved )Also the two delivery persons ( CHRIS AND BRIAN ) were terrific.
Clean store with mostly decent employees, but the music is too loud for anyone to be able to focus and consentrate on what needs to be done. I have called and requested that they lower the music on several occasions, but im almost 90% sure that they made it louder after my family spending $4500 there last year alone
Got there and my wife is waiting for surgeryso she can walk. There were no motorised carts. A nice young lady found us a wheel chair that we had to stuff her into. It was very painful for her. We lookeed quick and left. I am injjured and only have one good arm. It was difficult for me also. We wanted a tree and lights and ornaments because our decorations are on the attic and neither of us can get at them. So we look on elsewhere.
Such a frustrating experience every time I have had to go in to this location. The employees have little to no knowledge of the products they have, or where they are located in the store. The customer service is horrible. After you do find someone to help you have to deal with not only their lack of knowledge but their poor attitude. Lowes should be ashamed that have lowered their standard to the point that this is acceptable.
The store manager treated me very poorly I spent over $300 in 2 days working on my Plumbing at the store and I have trouble with one part and she treated me like garbage I think if a customer is willing to spend that much money at a store you should at least try to listen to them and talk nicely she completely ignored me and gave me attitude the entire time thatll be the last time I shop there for a long time
The Oswego store parking lot is a dangerous mess. There is only one outlet to the East now. The lane in front of the store isn’t really wide enough for two way travel with piles of garden stuff and flowers closing in from both sides. When leaving people going west into Oswego have a way out that doesn’t need a traffic light. Those needing to go East have to fight their way in front of the store to the East access road as it does have a traffic light to turn left. There is little safe way to turn left across three lanes of traffic from the other exit. If Lowe’s wants me and the twenty thousand people that live East to go into Oswego to turn around we would be better off bypassing the place to begin with and go to one of the other home centers in town.
Im just writing this in response to the poor review. Any time Ive gone in there, I have had several employees ask me if I needed any help. If anything, its an almost overwhelming amount of people asking if I need any help and when I do they help me find what I need, answer my question or find someone who can. In addition, there are several places you can call for help in the store.

2022-04-04Very disappointed. We attempted to order a washer and dryer with Progressive Leasing Monday but the employee was no help, said he would be right back then never came back. Tuesday we went back and the same employee was there again and told us to take pictures of the appliances that we wanted and left us with customer care. The order was placed and paid for and we were told that the order would be there and ready for pick up on Saturday. We called Saturday and were told they do not have our washer and dryer and that the appliance manager would be calling shortly. No call was received. Sunday I called again asking for the Appliance Supervisor and was told he would call me momentarily. No call received. Now I look on our Lowes app, to see that it states my order was completed and picked up and also had the wrong card number on it, duplicate appliances and then a refund for an extra set of washer and dryers that we didnt even order. Nobody seems willing to want to help rectify this situation and it is very frustrating and angering because I paid for these appliances, never received them, and am being denied help. I will be going into the store in person today to work this out.

2022-04-28For the second time in the last 4 orders there has been no communication or call back on status. Paid over $1300.00 for patio furniture, was told one week, its been a month. Three calls to them by me asking what is going on, first person I spoke with couldnt even find the order, gave them the invoice # and they found it. Surprise, wrong number noted to call back for the account holder. It was a number that has never been affiliated with our store account. Second person I called, I dont understand the notes left on this order. I am going to have to call you back. Is 315-963-xxxx a good number? Ummm no, I told the last person that that number is not associated with this order or my company. Oops, Ill change that, and have to call you back. Two days later I called back again and asked the status of my order for phone number 315-xxx-xxxx. Guess what.....I dont see an order under that number sir. So, I gave them the 315-963-xxxx number, youll never guess...Oh there it is. Again I reminded them that this number in not affiliated with myself or business in any way shape or form. PLEASE change the contact number. We have the chairs but only one of the tables. The person I asked to check other stores for the other two tables didnt leave a note, so I dont think they did anything about it. CMON MAN!!!! You have all the proper tools LOWES but not the means of operating them. WHY?? Hoping they get this right today or Im thinking refund time and Im going to Home Depot. Sad this is the only option for BIG BOX in my immediate area and this is what we get.

2022-05-25The best customer service I have ever experienced. Jerry not only called me back and walked me through a computer order issue but he stayed well past hours right before his day off to help me place a new order. I would never go anywhere else.

2022-06-12Helpful staff! Reasonable prices for the most part, but the store does tend to be disorganized, making it difficult to find the items you want.

2022-01-25Lowes usually has what Im looking for. Clean and organized store. The only reason Im not giving them 5 stars is because theres never any free employees when I need help.

2022-04-03Lowes is a hardware store that carries pretty much the most of any hardware store. If you are building a house, it probably has 99% of what need to build it.
