Store always good. Very impressive paint color matching service. Not a fault of the store but they may be able to assist. Vehicles never stop or slow down at the pedestrian crossings of which there are many. Been close to being hit multiple times trying to get back to parking lot.
I went there with my sister looking for some doors. We werent really sure about everything we needed and had simple questions. We were talked down to like we were stupid. There were 2 employees that were very nice and helpful. The others were simply rude. They acted like they didnt want to be there and we were an inconvenience.
Rest rooms not clearly marked, but then again this store may have stopped allowing folks to use them. I walked by many associates and not one of them greeted me. I had to use my phone to locate storage containers and cans of air for dust removal. Lowes is better than my this, atleast the stores in the south and mid west.
They have decent prices on some of there items. They also have a lot for variety of different things in the store. The reason I am only giving it 3 stars is because they had some Dewalt soft shell heated coats today in store for purchase and every single size coat had a different price on it. Even tho all the coats where the same color shape model and everything they still were charging different prices. The 2X was 67 and change the Med was 86 and change and the Large was 100 and change. Im sorry but I have never seen something like this before. I feel being all the same product exact to a tee they should be the same price. This is the only place I have ever seen do this and then when asked about it they say its Dewalt we have no say in pricing. Which is not the case. I looked into it after we left. It is only Lowes and all Lowes that does this.
Lowes is very poorly organized! They dont seem to give their staff adequate training. Frequently lose orders. Deliveries are a nightmare! And just to further sabotage customers, when you look up an items location online to avoid searching through the store the results will be incorrect. I always leave frustrated and disappointed!
They have everything. Great service too. Good prices. Wow..Update :June 2021,. Great service. . a/c on special 159$ , beautiful plants and nice resin bird baths. Lots of flowering trees and plants arriving almost every day. Lots of selection. Ask for help. It will come...update. Dec 2021. Garden zone had no roof cover now. Got soaked in wet snow and rain. Omg.
Had to leave today before making a purchase. The line in the lawn section was at least 8 people deep and only one employee in the entire area, she was apologetic and they were waiting for a manager to override something so no one was going anywhere. We returned all of our items and left without making a purchase. Normally I can find what I am looking without an issue, but not today. Otherwise it is a normal Lowes, they likely have what youre looking for as far as home and contractor materials.
Store Manager is rude and does not care about the customers! Had issues buying appliances from here, bought a new refrigerator and stove they never got delivered. When calling about this I got the response of we sold it and it’s now on back order. Store manger advised its not his problem and nothing that he can do. Went to Home Depot, No issues there.
For your home improvement needs its absolutely your go to shop. For me, someone who spontaneously decided i needed a sandbox for my children it was a rather frustrating experience. Immediately thought to head to lawn and garden. To my dismay there was no one to assist me in the area as there was a few employees just outside the fence talking. No big deal so I headed in to ask another employee, 3 different personal asked and I received the same answer. Head back to lawn and garden and they can assist you. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ After about 20 minutes I headed back out and still chatting.
I really like shopping at Lowes but with this covid-19 going around rampid, the prices of lumber and not to mention everything else is so expensive! I dont understand how a section of fence goes from 20$ up to 44$ !? It sounds like a bunch of price gouging going on here in NY!! I cannot afford to get my home ready for the winter ahead! Its crazy how prices have soared!!
We went to find a new grill. Picked up a nice Charbroil grill. Ashley was very helpful. She was helping from beginning to end. Rebecca was very knowledgeable and rang me out. Jason helped me load it into my truck. Place was crazy but these 3 people when out if their way to be friendly and curtious. Thats hard to find nowadays. Definitely going back to Lowes for all my houses needs. Thank you Lowes for a great experience. This world needs more kindness ✌️
I was looking to purchase a Dewalt vacuum. Found a 2 gallon one that was only 80 bucks. Wanted to think about it and decided. When I went back, the 80 dollar vacuum went to 160 bucks. NO OTHER COMPANY DID THIS. Dewalt advertised it at 80 but Lowes wants its moneys and has no problem with charging double for something .. looks like Runnings and Curtis get my money from now on
Good afternoon. I recently visited Lowe’s store 1195 on 39 Centers Drive in Plattsburgh NY on 8/10/20 at 5:33pm. I purchased item number 518477. My transaction number was 14095178.I requested that my wood be cut to a specific size which was 38.5 inches by 49 3/4 inches. A young man helped me. I thanked him. There was another man on the lift staring at the young man and kept saying... “I’m not sure man, I think it’s broke.” The saw was not broken. I checked out at the cash registered that was run by female cashier. She did not appear interested in helping me. Although reluctantly she did. I cashed out. Once I got to my vehicle I realized the larger half that I didn’t really need would not fit in my car. I went back inside to have it cut. The cashier stated “Well I can’t help you. What do you want me to do about it.” I explained that I didn’t want to leave it in the parking lot because that would be littering, if she could not get it cut then could they keep it. The cashier said “I’ll keep it and take care of it for you.” I left the store.I came home and sure enough the cut was wrong. He cut the wood to 39.5 by 46. Not only was the cut wrong but he cut the wood diagonal. If the employees cannot use the machinery properly, you should not offer the service. I have now paid 17.26 for wood I can’t even use. Your employees from the cashier, to the lift driver to the wood cutter need retraining. There is absolutely no reason for any customer to have such poor service. I’m throughly disappointed in the service. I can’t even say this is the first time I’ve been treated poorly by this store.
Paid for a refrigerator 3 weeks ago...was told it was in stock but would have to wait for delivery. Apparently they went and sold it and now it is on back order until who knows when. The managers act like they cant be bothered or they just dont care. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the lady at the customer service desk tried to be helpful.
This Lowe’s has terrible customer service I called for two weeks trying to get ahold of them to pick up a washer and dryer and they couldn’t be bothered to answer. I finally gave up and drove over there to grab one and took over an hour for them to deliver it to the car after they told us it would be 5 to 10 minutes. The only nice and helpful person was mike who worked for deliveries that helped us load them into our vehicle.
Ordered one small item at 1130 in the morning for pick up, showed up at 1700. Item still not picked, had to get the item myself. This isnt the first time this has happened. That coupled with the fact I couldnt get anyone to answer the phone either is the reason for the 1 star rating. The ladies at the pickup desk were helpful at least.
I went into Lowe’s today, looking for a lawn tractor belt. I would like to thank a young gentleman associate named Stephen for his help. He was very helpful and then took time helping me find something else I was looking for. He is to be complimented for his service to your store. Thank you, Stephen.
Not great, fridge we ordered not available, offered 3 more nicer ones for same price, all not available!!! Gave me refund,but if he could order us last fride we looked at for same price we are willing to wait a week or so. Remodeling house and going to need tons of stuff. Let me know if you can do that or buying fridge at Rays appliance, and material at curtis lumber
Don’t order anything from Lowe’s. I waited 3-1/2 weeks for tractor they had in stock and it showed up without the key. I call and call trying multiple phone numbers and menu options and nobody answers. I called 1-800 number, waited 50min on hold and they said a manager would call me back and fix it. 5 days later, no call.
If you call theses guys on the phone more the. Likely they’ll just hang up. I called and asked for rope so I can tie it to my kayak and go fishing. When I asked him how much was it and where it was he said “ it’s all the way on the other side of the store “ the he proceeds to hang up on me. These guys a rude and lazy
I came to speak speak with store manager. I would like the store to carry Better Grow Baggy Babies (orchids). Other Lowes carry this product. Its disappointing that Plattsburgh store doesnt. The closest stores that do are in Albany, a minimum if 6 hours RT. The store carries other Better Grow products. I had wanted to do a 4-H horticulture project with them. But orchid junkies snatch these baggy babies right up.
On 7/8/20 I placed an order for delivery (#701811703). I was given a delivery date of 7/23/20. I didnt have a problem with this because I know theyre busy this summer. I had ordered plywood, luan, 2x3s, some tin roofing, five windows that were in stock when I ordered them, and four pressure treated 4x4s. The 23rd came and went with no delivery. Today on the 26th i go into Lowes because the entire order was stated online as being backordered. Wouldnt you know it every single item on my order was sitting on the shelves except for the windows that they probably sold to someone else. I will never use Lowes delivery service again nor their online ordering service. Those departments should both replace their lousy management. Locally we have Sample Lumber, Curtis Lumber, and even Ward Lumber that will outperform Lowes.
Terrible! Ordered simple garden edging was told it would be ready for pick up on 31 July and will be called. The 1 of August called and no one had a clue what was going on! These 6 items were already payed for and nothing! You really need to have better communication or better employees!! Ordering on line for ALL my gardening supplies from now on!! Screw that place!! Terrible, horrible. Could not find an order in the system from january. Freezer 4 months old out of work for 2 months freezer isnt working. Customer service rep at the store cant help page Dan and was told to bad. Way to support those of us effected by the virus. This is why we should by local, they are as bad as China.
I did an online purchase with instore pick up. I received my your order us ready for pick up on Sunday. Tuesday night I go in to pick up my order and had to wait 45 min because they didnt know where it was. Once I told them what isle it was in, i had to wait for it to be taken down from the top of the risers. I should not have had to wait 45 minutes for something that was supposed to be ready for pick up. The only reason its getting a 3 star review is because the associates were all very friendly and willing to do what needed to he done to get the item out the door for me. Future reference Lowes.... dont send emails saying merchandise is ready for pick up if its not.
I had recently won a pretty big gift card for Lowes and couldnt to get some new tools. I find their store brand to be very high quality, especially when compared to a brand like Husky. They do not carry some brands I like but the staff is always helpful and atleast semi knowledgeable. I left very happily with a new mechanics set and a nice medium sized Craftsmen tool box to store it all in.
Needs more qualified help.I spent many thousands of dollars here remodeling my house. My kitchen cabinets are a complete mess. The bottom and top do not line up. The counter took much longer than expected.Many items purchased needed other items to go with them and they were not offered.5 stars for Eric the manager who helped me with a different order when I got quite ill.
Great BBQ section. Disappointed in lighting selection but seems their online selection will more than make up for it. Walked the whole store with nary a glance from employees, no hello or may I help you was heard. Seems basic customer service is not what it used to be with todays younger workforce.
Its Lowes. They have just about anything you can imagine when it comes to hardware or home improvement. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I only gave 4 stars because due to understaffing it can sometimes be difficult to find someone available to help you and you have to wait for awhile. They need to hire more people to work the sales floor. The store is busy and an employee can only help one person at a time. Other than that overall my experience here has been positive and Id recommend them to others.
Well I have an older home thats built by stuff from older days, today I needed parts to repair screens now all the pieces are much bigger than what I need. Its just starting to feel more and more and more like Walmart they have nothing you need and everything you dont want.
If you are waiting for someone to call you back, good luck. I have been waiting over a week for a girl Teri to call me. She seid she would call me back in a 1/2hr. Well im still waiting. I have been living out of coolers for 2 months while Lowes and Samsung do nothing for me. I have a family of 5 to feed. This is a horrible display of quality customer service there so quick to boast.
Purchased a refrigerator online to be delivered. Was told someone would call with delivery date & time. Called and was told delivery date. Called 4 times to find out estimated time. Was told after truck was loaded they would call. 3pm came and I called again to find out truck was broke down and couldnt deliver. Decided to pick it up and on the way saw the delivery truck out an about. They forgot to put my item on the truck. Only reason for one star, two nice employees helped find an load it on my truck. I am handicapped so I really needed the delivery.
I recently purchased a prolux 2.0 backpack vacuum from lowes and Im very happy with my decision! The first time I used it I could notice a big difference from other vacuums. It has more than enough suction for all types of floors and the 50 cord allows you to keep going without stopping to change outlets. It is very light on your back and is easy to empty. I would recommend buying a prolux vacuum.
No sales people on the floor. Bells for help go on and on. This is not unusual. You might as well call it do it yourself everything store. I hate going in there. When I worked for Lowes, we could not pass a customer without acknowledging them and offering help. I am glad I dont depend on Lowes stock to help me pay bills. A true disgrace.
So I just bought a grill from the Lowes in Plattsburgh let me tell you about some poor customer service the woman at the customer service desk snotty rude the woman at the self-checkout when I asked if I could bring my big package there gave me a look like she couldnt be bothered then when I went to the regular check out that woman was also snotty and rude thank God for the guy and the girl who helped me get the grill off the shelf and the guy who helped me load it. You figure as a customer spending $600 in their store the least they could do would be to smile or be nice not impressed
Just left our local Lowes after ordering a new fridge on line while in the actual store. Several employees walking around, yet not a single one asked if we needed any help. With customer service like this why even have emoloyees, if customers have to order online from inside the store. What a shame and then wonder why stores are closing.
Drove an hour and a half for nothing. Website said they had 480 deck boards I needed and got there and they had none. Annoying. Spoke to a rep and they said they hadn’t updated their system. In a world that relies a lot on the internet and being a large company I find that a little ridiculous!
Was very poor customer service. One of the associates asked what I needed but asked very rudely like I was bothering him. (bigger guy named mike) made sure I got his name because of how rude he was.Then 3 workers watched me struggle to push the cart outside that was loaded with a stand-up shower, toilet, and roll of linoleum w/o offering assistance. Very disgusted with their customer service!
Updated 3 years later....It still is useless to ask people where something is (sometimes they will just lie and say that they dont have it), but I have moved my review from 1 star to 3 because I now know that I can use the app to find what I need....its not great, but its affordable.[old review below]It always seems like asking for help when looking for something is a waste of time. They either dont know or will just tell you they dont have it (even when they do).
Had specific list & walk through shopping. Two sales associates Hank & Tyler lost all my sales. Hank passed me up for a loud obnoxious woman. Never assisted. Tyler came up with inventory sheet. Pushed me out of way. Reached in front of me when Im trying to finalize items reading the telephone book print size sheeting dimensions. Let Mgr knowHe offer to get someone else..but enough bad service. 8 am is still when contractors locals getting done to go to days projects. Locals or out of town won my business. Lowes 0
#lowes is the worse store ever. 3 orders 3 issues they pass the buck to the next person do not deal with your issues so you can’t complain go anywhere else1. Ordered wood 12 feet by 6 inches the wood is actually 5 1/2 issues have to drive to the store, manager was unhelpful, finally agreed to deliver the 2 pieces of wood to me the next day in the morning3. Ordered shed, fireplace and table and chairs, 1 week before delivery....I have to go to the store to find out there’s an issue- there assembly is behind cause of increase in orders, but heard the guy on the phone saying they couldn’t find the shed- by the way no phone calls from Lowe’s to let me know there’s an issue3. It is the next day, I receive a phone call- between 3 and 5, that’s p.m. so 2 hour trip to the states again for no reasonI will never deal with them againcall head office, to be told that I have to deal with the store manager that did nothing to help me at all
Went there to get a cordless drill announced at 59.99$ on their website. Couldnt find it in store, ask for help, found the tag marked at 149.99$ (regular price), and couldnt find the drill. Told me that it must be a discontinued item and that I must pay 119+ for a similar model. Didnt offer me any other options.Dont know if its just an incompetent employee or an open lying publicity but at final they just achieved pissing off an other customer.
I ordered a maple tree from this location and picked it up in store. Before ordering it, I spoke with someone on the phone who said they would wrap the tree for me so it would not be damaged by the wind during transport. When I actually got there and asked for it to be wrapped, the person who helped me did not seem to understand that wind would damage the leaves. He laid the tree in the trailer, said it looked fine, then walked away. Sure enough, by the time I got home, half the leaves were gone. Additionally, before even leaving the store, I noticed a branch had been broken. I pointed it out to one of the garden center employees who said I could pick out a different tree. Mine was the only one in stock, so I was stuck with it. This was the only time I have been to this location and it will likely be my last.
The facility has become too corporate. Theres no one available that knows what to do with anything...they just want to sell you what they think will work and then send you on your way. Thats if you can find anyone to help...and heavy things are placed up high, so they can watch you struggle with the object and walk away..,or if you do have them prepare things, they say they were too busy to take care of it and would I mind waiting45 minutes? When they had2 days to complete the task...they suck here! I hate going!
Rude and unhelpful. I went to the garden center to buy some herb plants. I asked the lady where I could find rosemary. I have a clear and very precise English accent, and she made fun of me, pretending she couldn’t understand what I was saying. I was stunned. I’m never spending a single penny on this company ever again.
Ordered a LG refridgerator back on the 4th of July still have not gotten it. They had planned delivery in August only to find out they were out of stock. We decided to wait seeing it was a 41% discount. Again delivery was scheduled for November 23rd, day after Thanksgiving . Thought no way but id give it them another shot. We actually were going to visit family in Ohio for the holidays but figured we waited this long for our fridge we wont go. You guessed NO DELIVERY, NO NOTIFICATION , NO ANYTHING!!!!!! Still have no idea if we will EVER get our new fridge, still no update. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! This isnt the 1st incident that Lowes in Plattsburgh has not followed through. Would love to see a Home Depot put them put if business. Our experience with Lowes have been very disheartening.
Once again, its a big box hardware (etc.) place. Seen one, pretty much seen em all.Ill leave it there --- oh, the staff is really quite good, and no, Im not related to, in love with, or otherwise entangled with any of them ---but if you can go there as I just did, on a rare quiet Friday morning, the experience is even better.
Its a sad day when you go to store that used to be my favorite place to shop and there are so many people that work in departments that have no clue what they are telling customers or can not give them good advice .attention is always diverted .questions never answered .it will be difficult but its time to say good by lowes .very disappointed.
Went online first to see if they had what I needed and they did and it tells you exactly what aisle and what section it is and what Shelf and its very helpful its a lot easier doing it that way then trying to find someone to help you find what you need it was quick and painless
Ive been to the Plattsburgh store--3 times--its a 60 mile jaunt for me--so it costs money to get there and back. Three times I needed quotes and delivery dates for a roofing job for one of my properties--three times no one there knew how to quote how much metal was needed and what else was needed even though I had the diagram with all the measurements--I felt really badly for the handsome young man who was waiting on me--a college kid working for the sumemr who had been given no training for ordering roofing--he tried getting someone-anyone to help me but no one knew anything...Kudos for the young man however--he certainly tried...I called several times after that--only to have the phone call skip around as no one even answered--It was a long distance call so in addition to the three trips--and their costs-I had long distance phone calls that got no response...Who the hell runs that place--myorder was a pro order and they would have made$5000 on the deal---I just dont get it...
Doesnt always have what I need or website says it has. Plus when a store is 15 miles from the Canadian border and has its bilingual signs in Spanish!! Not French?? That says theres something seriously amiss in managements idea of who their customers are and what they want!!

2022-06-27Started with we went in to pick up a Washer & Dryer. Trusted the employee would have loaded both up (our mistake was trusting the employee to give us what we asked for) got home and had 2 dryers! After over 1 hour of both my spouse and I making phone calls and getting hung up on we finally got through! And the customer service was VERY rude! Management finally called my spouse back ans said they didnt have our washer in stock! We were patient it was suppose to be delivered to us today and they were suppose to pick up the other dryer! Ive spent time trying to get through to customer service again after an hour o got through but am on hold again! Do not recommend shopping here!

2022-06-20Had a really terrible experience on the delivery/installation front buying a washer/dryer and dishwasher from this store.The sales and customer service folks are nice and as helpful as they can be, given some tough supply chain/staffing circumstances right now. Lowes corporate (not in-store) management and the company they have outsourced delivery/installs to (CRST Home Solutions) are uniquely awful. We had multiple no call/no shows across both orders, and while the appliance department tried to resolve things, CRST didnt care enough to do much of anything or call back.The departments themselves are your best bet to get help, but their hands are tied due to poor corporate management and a worse outsourced delivery/install partner. If youre coming in to buy and pick up appliances directly, its good experience. If you want help with delivery/installation, either set it up separately or look elsewhere.

2022-02-28The people in the paint department @ Plattsburgh, NY Lowes are incompetent! Had a gallon of Valspar Ultra P&P made up of their color from the same type of paint. Person used a B base instead of an A base. Color was 3 shades darker. When I brought it back the girl argued with me trying to tell me that wouldnt make a difference because its the same formula. Told her Ive been painting for 21yrs and using a different base ABSOLUTELY would change the way the color looks because its a deeper base. In the end I took the old can to PPG Paints and they were able to do an EXACT color match from the dried paint in the can AND it was $3 cheaper! Best thing to do is get your paint from a tall paint store!

2021-09-27I called the main number and asked to speak to a manager. The phone tree has been trying to contact an associate for the past 7 minutes. My hot water heater died last week. My husband reached out to Lowes, ordered a new one - thankfully in stock - and was told that for $125 it could be installed as an emergency installation on Saturday. No call from the installer on Saturday. My husband went in and spoke to a couple of very nice folks who said we should hear from the installer on Sunday. Nope. I went in to Lowes on Sunday and again spoke with some very nice people whom Im sure did their best to help me. So, the end result was to expect a call from the installer on Monday. Its after 5:00 pm as a I am writing this and still no call or hot water heater. Now, I cant reach the manager, Mike, whom I have been dealing with. Dont get me wrong, the people are very nice and try their best to be helpful. But, so far, the customer service is lacking on the contractors part. I do not own a truck so transporting the hot water heater is not possible. Plus, neither my husband or I would be able to move the thing. We are not large individuals and cannot man or woman handle the thing to our lower level without help. So, we seem to be at the mercy of Lowes.

2021-08-29Great selection of plants and great service. Went for a few house plants and ended up leaving with three succulents and one potted plant for $16. They have incredibly reasonable prices. The checkout was easy and the staff was friendly. The only thing I noticed that was a negative is they don’t have tap to pay. Great place to go if you want some plants.
