I paid for a wheelbarrow. The associate called for staff to unlock it. The associate had to make 2 calls and no one ever showed. I went to the service desk to cancel the order and get my money back and they immediately went out and unlocked the wheelbarrow. Customer service was horrible.
Its ironic you prefer customers to self checkout, when buying lumber, 3 of your employees were not capable of checking us out. 3 employees looked at me with a blank stare and said they couldnt help and walked all the way down to the other end of the store to get help. Your prices are very high and service is very low.
The store is clean and everything is well organized and labeled. The staff is friendly and helpful. I choose Lowes over home depot anytime plus Ive noticed the prices to be better. They have a great selection of everything you need for your home. I still love small local home improvement stores but Lowes provides that same feeling with a massive selection of goods.
Ordered and payed for a new washer…. washer came and it looks like it was a used washer. There was dents and scratches all over the washer. Manager trying to give me 10% for a washer is paid almost $1000 for. To be honest I didn’t not had a good experience at lowe’s, I truly don’t Recommend anyone to shop there. And to be Specific this was the balltown road location. Customer service suck there are well.
They do everything quite well for being stocked but selection has dropped. The cashiers are lowkey which is nice. Id say 5 stars but the staff in the departments has gotten sparse when you need them.I guess if you get lower prices like depot you get staff like depot. Otherwise its still a nice place
Had some hiccups during my install, got to admit at one point wanted to return all of the products and end the problem. The store manager got involved and made everything happen. She did not waste anytime at all. I do have to say I hate that I had to get her involved but she took care of everything and I was satisfied.
I want to share the terrific customer assistant you have in Dan in your electrical section. He has been my “go to person” on many occasions in the past and he went above and beyond on my most recent visit. I explained my project and he laid out exactly what I needed. His patient, knowledge and attention to detail is admirable and rare. He is a 10 out of 10! Thanks again Dan for all your help.
As some last minute Christmas shopping came to my attention so did Lowes. I found myself needing a very specific item and arrived at the store 5 minutes before closing. Thank you to Lowes for not closing early. With that said, I found the store to be remarkable in cleanliness and order. I found my item just as they were making the announcements to let customers know the store was closed. I made my way to the cashier without being told to get out which I highly appreciated. The cashier was friendly and rang up my merchandise in a timely manner. I completed my mission for Christmas shopping thanks to Lowes. I plan to return in the near future as I saw other items I needed but didnt want to over stay my welcome. Thank you again for making me feel valued even at the last minute.
Was told last Sunday grill I was looking for was gonna be in stock Wednesday. Went back Thursday and after waiting 34 minutes no one was able to find it. Customer service was good but I cant believe 5 people were not able to find it. Drove 5 minutes to home depot and I found one ready to barbecue at the right price.
I recently visited the Lowes store at 422 Balltown Rd Schenectady NY 12304. I purchased a LG washer and Dryer , GE Microwave, HP deep freezer and GE electric stove (range). As well as the 5yr protection on all the appliances. I was never instructed by the manager (Drew) that I was suppose to receive a $500 discount on all the items purchased. As a manager he was suppose to be aware of this promotion and he did not advise me while helping me. When I came back to the store on April 6th the day before the promotion was over, I was giving a hard time receiving my discount from the floor supervisor (Jerome). He stated the manager (Drew) wasnt there and for me to come back tomorrow. Mysteriously, I see the manager (Drew) appear in the appliance section minutes later. After waiting an entire hour in the store which was an inconvenience for my daughter and I. I was eventually giving my $500 discount. On the morning of my delivery date April 8, 2021 I was contacted by a sales rep from the store stating that the LG dryer I purchased was not available and they did not know where its located. I came to the store to have my money refunded and was told there is not enough money in the cash registers or safe to refund me and I have to come back at 6 o clock pm. This store is very unprofessional and unorganized, I recommend people do not shop there because they are trying to get over on their customers.
I choose Lowes over home depot primarily for the military discount, but I installed a new patio and the associates helped me load the pavers into my SUV via fork lift and were kind, courteous, and eager to offer customer service. Ive also built shelfing and was assisted by someone in the Lumber department who helped me pick out the materials I needed. Ive installed outdoor lights and was again assisted in finding the right tools and hardware needed to get the job done. They have helped answer questions regarding DIY projects and given advice regarding electrical work on numerous occasions. Aside from honoring veterans, this is not the sole reason you should choose Lowes. It is the quality of customer service provided by each and every associate working there. They genuinely care about helping customers.
Yall rock, every time I come here I am greated with kindness. Even in the face of being screamed at by others, yall still manage to give me spectacular service and leave me happy with each vist. You may not always have what I want but you always know how to go out of your way to look for me. I appreciate everyone at the store for their hard work! I only wish their were people specifically for loading vehicles up so I didnt have to wait for people. I know everyone is busy and this is why I think there should be dedicated people for it.
Went to this location because I was promised a delivery date within 2 weeks. I purchased a gas stove and I am waiting on it to move into a new house. I was told it should arrive May 12. I waited an additional week before I inquired about the delivery. I was told truck would be coming in the next Thursday and it should be on the truck.Everyone I spoke with lied about everything. Mike is the biggest lair of all. He is only concerned with making a sell and will say anything to get it. I am still waiting on a return call from Mike.Spoke with another person and he told me the stove is not in the warehouse yet. Mike never said it could take up to July but he did put it in the paperwork without me noticing it while assuring me it will be here in 2 weeks. He will constantly talk while you are sign papers and he what we call a fast talker.Be careful when you shop at this location. No one is accountable and they are very dishonest. These ppl are the worst when it comes to honesty.
So *last week*, I had to make a stop at Lowes for a few things on the way home, then was rushed by the rain. But no complaints! Prior to my cart somehow getting me stuck between Lowes` entrance and my car, after an associate assured me of her service, happened to notice I was in need of help this time, she even helped me get my things into the car while it was raining! I thought it was the most considerate unexpected gesture a retail sales person has ever done for me. I remembered her by the name Selena! Ill know who to go to next time I need help with anything!! Thank you again!
I love Lowes. Well, I used to. You cannot find someone to help you if you got Home Depot, but Lowes was different. You could find someone to help! Buuuuut that changed a few years ago. Its just a blue Home Depot now. Customer service is a dying norm. Several times I nearly cut my own wood because I couldnt find anyone!!! 2 stars because after I spend an hour finding what I want, the price is usually good.
Tia in the appliance department is great. She helped me out drastically. I cannot thank her enough for her patience. She is the sole reason I will come back here. The whole time during my issue,I was thinking I would never to come back to Lowes. After the issues with our product not being deliveted when I selected delivery online and then the mixup from inventory problems and the product we ordered not being available, she worked diligently to find a solution for me. I appreciate her expertise for finding me a comparable product while providing great customer service. I hope corporate Lowes treats her well and I will come back to Lowes because of her.
Waiting for a dryer to be delivered. Called and cant get a hold of the delivery area, customer service was rude said thet can only tell me somewhere between 8am and 8pm...on a holiday! Cant even talk to a manager. Was told they would call when they are on their way. Cant even find out of my dryer is on the truck or not or if I am wasting my time.
I stopped in to pick up an item that the website said was in store, and was told it was my an associate as well. After 20 minutes the item was not found, so I left and ordered it on Amazon. Only bright spot was a very friendly cashier. To achieve 4 stars this location should think about training its employees to be able to find items they are claiming to have in stock. Another example of poor management by a big box store that looks at each customer as a dime a dozen.
Dont go there after 5p on a Saturday because youd have better luck winning the Publishers Clearinghouse sweepstakes than finding an employee to help you with something. I have never had a different experience than that, in all the years of going there as a last resort
Ordered a washing machine since June 16th 2020 from a local store (paid for everything including delivery, warranty, etc). I was told it will be delivered on the first week of July.First week went by and I called the local store; I was then told it will be delivered August 1st 2020.I took leave from my job on August 1st and waited at home all day because I was told (on 08/01/20)it is OUT for delivery and it will be delivered between 8am-8pm.It never got delivered to me.Contact the store again @6:30pm, I was told they dont have a delivery driver and thats also when they went to search for the washer in their stockroom. They now decided to deliver it tomorrow. 08/02/2020.Can you help me get a better experience than this?Who will pay me for my day off I took for nothing?I spent so much money and I appear to be a forgotten customer even though i havent received my product yet.
Terrible customer service. Very unhelpful and miserable staff. Ordered an item for curbside pickup, called multiple times no answer. Finally someone called me back and said have you been calling?, then proceeded to be sarcastically nice as she knew I was annoyed. Just terrible experience every time. Will never order from Niskayuna again, the Colonie location is way better.
Went here to get propane refills. Was able to get checked out without any problem. Was told someone would meet me at the propane rack. After 15 minutes I left the other person waiting (he was waiting 10 minutes longer than I) and went inside to ask for someone to come out. I was assured someone would be right there. After another five minutes the other person went in to get someone to help us. This resulted in the person at the service desk coming out to take care of us. I lt was close to 25 minutes after I purchased the tank refill before I actually had my tank. I wont be back for this again.
Awful! Ordered store pick up, it was sent to another store! Sat outside for 20 minutes waiting for curbside pickup, phones kept hanging up. Go inside, rep got our order and tried to load 4 pieces of broken fencing in our truck! 45 minutes later still waiting to see if they have product that is not broken. Completely unacceptable!
Went to get carpet installation waited over 1 hour in store to get help and they failed to call me back in 3 days To see if they can help me and they refused to install carpet over my existing padding or less than 1 year old because of warranty issues, I told them I would sign documents waiving my warranty, we have changed carpet 3 times in 3 years so I don’t need a warranty, so after I reached out to them to see if they can do it the store manager decided he didn’t want to help a repeat customer , I will take my business to Home Depot , rug install with pad was 1500 dollars and rug only install was 953. I’m not spending 547$ on rug pad that doesn’t need to be installed. That’s why your store employees all need more training . Take care !
Just wanted to say that I bought a portable dishwasher from here earlier this year. I have a pull-down faucet which usually isnt compatible, so I needed to get some different kind of adapter. Avery from plumbing was a major help, and he spent at least an hour looking through the different connectors with me. He helped me make an informed purchase. All around awesome staff too. Thanks man!
Awful experience at Niskayuna Lowes. I will not visit this location again. I needed some carpet cut, asked an associate and he said he’d get someone right away. After a while of waiting I found the Need Help button which automatically pages for help over the intercom. This went off repeatedly for 20 minutes, in the mean time multiple employees walked by me and ignored me. We found an associate finally who was determined to help. She was not able to use the machine but worked to find us someone who could. The guy eventually showed up, did not look at me or speak to me, only to her. He told her the machine is broken. There was no sign or anything. He did not apologize. So rude and disrespectful of the customer
Very big warehouse which says just how much is there. Great service someone was there when I needed help in trying to get what I was thinking into the proper parts. Especially when you say things like I need the piece that goes on the faucet,that screws and I need the other piece that screws into the faucet for a washer. Then you get the traditional🤔😮. But they attempt and it does get done. And a nice checkout also. Bathrooms are clean and the overall experience was very good I would go back.
I would have gave you five stars but when I went to look at the solar lights glass mushrooms that was on display the guy didnt seem like he wanted to give me time about them because there was no more in the Box. And he told me there would be no more on order. I asked him if I could have this display one and he said no. I kind of think that he just didnt want to give me the time. I really went there to get a faucet in the plumbing department Im not guy was very helpful and spend a lot of time with me to make sure I had the right stuff that I need it to put an outside faucet in I was impressed with that.
I really enjoy this store, it is never that busy and very clean. They always have some deal going on so check out the flyer. Over black Friday a lot of tools where at some pretty amazing prices. Customer service is pretty good. Sometimes it can be hard to find someone in a department which is why they didnt get a fifth star.
I like that the store is always well kept and organized. The garden center is enormous! Lots of indoor and outdoor plants. The lighting center is far superior to HD. The store service has definitely slipped. It used to be easy to find help, not so now. Also, open lines for checkout are never enough so lines form quickly and then they are scrambling to open more.
I went into this store to purchase a wardrobe cabinet. I had to search around for someone to help me load the 190lb cabinet. I asked the gentleman to assist me with loading the cabinet. He told me to go grab a cart and he would help me. I grabbed the cart and waited for 5 minutes. I saw the employee talking to another employee. They kept looking over at me and no one came. I decided to try and load it myself. They kept glancing over, but no one came to help. This is disgraceful that they saw me struggling and did not attempt to help. I will not return and recommend others dont as well.
I went here for large bolts and found what I needed without a problem. They were laid out and organized in a user friendly manner. Cashing out was quick and easy. The store has handicapped parking and restrooms. The restrooms are located in the front of the store near the registers.An easy in and out visit.
Absolutely awful customer service. Ordered online, got an email available for pick up that evening, went in the next morning. They had not pulled it yet and was informed they didnt actually have the item. Cashier at customer service marked my item as picked up then had to go backward and attempt to rectify. Was not offered and alternative or to have the item shipped. Went out of my way and waited an additional half hour for an item I paid for and they didnt have. Terribly disappointed.
DOUG!! What a guy!! Me and a friend went in for paint today. Lovely guy to talk too and helped us out a bunch. He paid for 2 cans of our paint and we cried it was so nice. He told us not to worry about it and to just pay it forward. We will do that for sure and we thank him for making our day!
Let me start off by saying that four months ago this was one of the best Lowes that I have gone to and I gave it a four star rating with a long review with details about what I would like to see improved. Since then, this location has become a disaster. The employees working at customer service only mumble when you talk to them and always frown, none of the employees seem to want to help you so if they see that you are looking for something or have literally been in the store for more than an hour they try as hard as possible to stay away from you. Also to find what you are looking for is a maze, they have so much equipment just sitting in the middle of aisles that you have to go over to the next aisle or even the one after that just to get what you wanted in the aisle you started in. On the subject of shopping carts, a lot of them are broken. And I was almost pooped on by birds all flying around. There is also a rodent problem inside the building, I have seen multiple rats and mice scattering about whenever I am near the bird food aisle, which gives me unnecessary stress due to the fact that I am extremely scared of rodents and I like to buy bird seed. With all of this said I give it two stars just because the website is very helpful.
Parked in curbside pickup, called the number 3 times with no answer for about 10 minutes. Had to go into the store (which I was hoping to avoid). The person who pulled in 10 minutes after me got their item before me. I am still waiting for my items, has been about 30 min. Horrible customer service, and very apathetic employees.
Horrible horrible customer service. They gave me an attitude because I wanted to order a fence. I was finally able to talk to someone who was very helpful and spent about 45 minutes or so ordering my fencing project. I had the pieces delivered, which showed up a week early which was great, except for the fact that they sent me a cracked post and 3 panels were missing small pieces. I called to find out how I could get the pieces replaced. After being put on hold 3 times and speaking to 4 different people, I was told to just come in and ask for the missing pieces. I asked if I should bring the entire panels in that had missing parts. I was told no, just to go to customer service and ask for the pieces I needed. I did that only to be greeted with an attitude by the lady at the counter. I was told I had to speak with a manager. I waited for 15 minutes for the manager to approach me. I explained to him what was going on. He asked me if I brought the panels in with the missing pieces. I told him again that I was told not to, to just come in and get my pieces. After he rolled his eyes at me he walked me out to the section where the panels were and ripped open 2 brand new panels to give me the u channels I was missing. I thought to myself that this was probably why my original panels were missing pieces because there is no organization nor does anyone have a clue on whats going on. I also explained to him that I could go get the panels but I would have to drive back home because i was told not to bring the entire section in. By the way, I spent over $4500 on a fence I was not trying to rip them off for Cheap as U channels.
Normally my experience with Lowes has been positive until recently. My wife and I ordered a Vanity and Vanity top from Lowes on May 5th. The bottom portion was delivered to the store within 2 weeks. The vanity top ran into a snag from the manufacturer and would be delayed by 21 days. I can accept that. Lowes even said they would deliver the top to our home when it arrived. Very positive. Here is where things fall apart. I had to keep reaching out to Lowes to find someone who would talk to me about the top and its arrival and delivery to my home. After a dozen calls or so over the span of 2.5 weeks with each associate promising to call me back. When I finally got a hold of someone that could help me we agreed on a delivery date mid June(13 or 14). They never showed. Finally I went down there and low and behold got everything set up to be delivered. Got everything to my house the week of July 1 to find out that the wrong items top included were ordered by Lowes(we ordered everything in-store with an associate) . We went back to Lowes to rectify the issue. Sales associate Junior was very helpful. We go up to customer service department to set up the order and get the items back. They tell me that the soonest they could pick up the sink is August 2nd. At that point I have to go back to the store and order everything again with a 21 day lead time for the top. That puts us into September for this freaking sink. 5 MONTHS !! for Lowes to get this right. You would think that the associate at the front desk would have done more to keep our business because after we get this settled we wont be using them again. Be very careful with this Lowes.
The worse lowes store there is.They will not honor tools warranty. I spend a lot of money on tools in this store the service counter people are rude they lie and give me a hard time everytime I need to get a tool exchanged. I will not return to this store and Im going to tell everyone I know and everyone on social media dont go to this store on 422 ballgown road
The customer service representative greeted me with frown, the two men asked to load my stove into my EXCURSION, only managed to get half the stove into my monster truck, where I had to finish loading it myself. I was told upon pick up of my stove that I would need an installation kit-not at time of sale. The only good parts about this encounter is I got to speak to a manager when I asked to, and getting to leave. I am disappointed in customer service nowadays. Saddening.
My handyman husband lives here. Great source for typical home work project supplies. Ill buy garden supplies here but not plants (Faddegons for plants). We dont hire them for services. Great return policy, which is super helpful. Can buy online and pickup at store. Helpful staff.
I dont know which of the two Lowes are covered here but each of them has good parking and all the equipment you want, but the organization of whats in the office is such that things are not close by and getting Lumber and screws and nails and electrical things are not in similar areas and frequently do not have a good selection of people who can explain what they have. The Home Depot has a much better selection and although it is very crowded on the weekend is in general a better location for getting in and getting out without walking everywhere to do so.
One register open.I hope you dont have a lot going on because you will stand there for 30 minutes while three or four Lowes employees walk past you and the six other people standing in line while they are on their way to do Gosh-knows-what instead of ringing you all out.
I’ve been to this location a few times. My last 2 shopping experiences have been horrible. One one occasion a employee was trying to not sell me flowers, and took half of my cart away from me. The last time( this past weekend) while buying a snowblower we were ignored at first and then given attitude when needing assistance. It’s not a paint brush, you don’t go rolling through a checkout lane w a snowblower. The next day when picking up we were yelled at after being ignored. Spoke w a manager, got a apology, but didn’t really make up for the horribleness. Go somewhere else to get what you need.
HELPFUL VERY VERY NICE THE STORE IS CLEAN WELL STOCKED AND THE STORE LIGHTING IS BRIGHT. FROM THE MAN IN THE PARKING LOT COLLECTING CARTS TO THE MAN IN LUMBER THE CUSTOMER SERVICE MAN THAT HELPED ME WITH A KEY AND OOPS I ALMOST FORGOT THE PAINT DEPARTMENT FANTASTIC. DIANA WHO CASHED ME OUT A REAL SWEETHEART. GET IT. A VERY VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. LOWES IS FOR ME. THE COMPETITION SHOULD TAKE NOTICE. TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER AND THE CUSTOMER WILL TAKE CSRE OF YOU.
I will never buy anything from Lowes again. Terrible service. Bought 3 appliances. 2 were delivered before the dishwasher was even ordered. They didnt order because I ordered an 18 inch instead of 24. They called almost 2 Weeks later to verify. Finally got call from installer today. Will be installed on March 2nd. A month and a half after purchase. This is ridiculous. The guys who delivered the other 2 were idiots and scratched my new fridge. Go with Home Depot or better yet a local appliance shop. Lowes is terrible!
Always great customer service, and knowledgeable about their department and products. They dont upsell, they give honest and practical suggestions for projects and use of materials. Very reasonably priced compared to competitors and a lot of options in-store and online.
After being a loyal Lowes customer for years now (including my entire family), I can confidently say that I will never be spending my money there again.A couple months ago they tried implemented a new policy for military discount in which you have to sign up for their loyalty card and give them a lot of personal information that THEY DONT NEED.The entire point of a military ID is so that you DONT NEED TO GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION.Why do they need a copy of my DD214? (which is ILLEGAL to ask for) Why do they need date of discharge? Why do they need proof of service? Having a military ID is proof of all of these things!!!Anyway, after that was in effect I refused to give such information because its unnecessary and honestly a slap in the face to Veterans across the country. At first, they allowed me to do this and they would just type it in and that was that.Well, I guess according to their new policy, as of January 5th if you want a military discount then you have to fork over all of that personal information because they cant manually override the discount.I went to this Lowes last night to get a custom door, a bunch of drywall and other tools. When I got to the register and she informed me that I needed a loyalty card to get the discount I said no and asked for a manager. She told me someone would talk with me at the service desk. Went down there only to talk to two other girls with awful customer service and has the most sour look on their faces the entire time. I told them my issue and they were rude and told me that I needed the card so I asked to speak with a manager AGAIN.At this time, the manager came over AND TRIED TO SIGN ME UP FOR THE CARD. Obviously no one had told him my extreme unwillingness to do so. Once I told him I wasnt comfortable giving a home improvement store that sensitive information he immediately rolled his eyes, shoved a piece of paper in my face and told me they cant manually override the discount anymore. He ended with sorry, nothing I can do for you..A pathetic excuse for staff, management AND service.I will now be taking all of my (and my familys) business to Home Depot where they understand that a military ID is all the information they need.
The cashier was rude and unhelpful. A manager was present and rather then look something up on the computer they let me leave when I told them I would go to Home Depot.. There wasnt even any other customers at the time. They are lazy and totally clueless. Not to mention over priced. Beware and stay away. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOWES. They should get zero stars but that is not an option.
I generally find the the folks who at Lowes to be nice enough, but they dont go out of their way to ask if you need help. Theyll mostly ignore you until you go up to them and then theyll give you an isle number and walk away.Ace Hardware much better if you need assistance IMO.Otherwise, nearly everything you need under one roof.
Its Lowes its a tool store sometimes I go to the orange store sometimes I go to the blue store you know I think Lowes has generally some better stuff you dont get the dirt cheap stuff you find around town. Lowes usually gets me set up for whatever project I have planned.
I was dismayed at how the product layout could have been better, because the aisle labeling was so straight forward. And the hardware area was lack-luster in options. Most surprisingly the outlet and switch covering options were sure fancy, but there was only one kind of simple I was looking for, white and squared corners to match the rest of the covers in my home. But not one looked even remotely like that. Closest option was a stained yellow with beveled edges. Because of these options I was forced to pick something that didnt match. And, luckily, they had a metal option, which caters to my basement light switch usage.The only save of this visit was my frugal shopping eye. I couldnt believe I spent less than $20 on a handful of small items I needed to get some pesky small annoyances out of the way.
Lowes changed their credit card billing. Never received a bill in my email and was charged a late fee without ever receiving a bill. Interesting how I got an email about a late penalty but never about the bill itself. Subsequently paid off my card ( never missed a payment before) and cancelled it. Will no longer shop at Lowes for this reason.
Went to look at choices to fill an asphalt. Whole. Unfortunately all of the bags was completely in bad condition andvwhen I leaned over i put my hand on a bag and as a normal motion to wipe on keans, ended up staining jeans with Tar. 2vstars, since Cashier was very nice. Lowes needs to do a walk around for leaky products.. Very disappointing!!!
Good store. Typical DIY enthusiast in our neck of the woods has a choice of four Home Depot and Lowes stores - two in Latham next to Latham Circle and two in Schenectady. Between the four stores you can find just about any material needed to repair or improve your home. I bias towards the brands Home Depot carries, but sometimes Lowes is better. For example, they have an exclusive contract with Minwax and so on. Overall, I think to have this particular store in Niskayuna is a blessing and I pray that they will survive an Amazon onslaught on brick-and-mortar stores. Shopping there is a joy for me and their garden department is fantastic in the warmer months of the year.
I went in the Niskayuna NY Lowes yesterday to puzzle piece together a way to hook up a utility sink to a garden hose (no easy feat for a novice like me). Junior saw me looking around at adaptors in the plumbing aisle and went right to work helping me get the stuff I needed. He was courteous, explained everything to me, didnt rush despite it being busy, and I left knowing I wouldnt have to come back because it didnt work.Id give him 20 stars if I could.
Most of the time the niskayuna branch is prophesional and curtoius. 50 percent chance of product knowledge. Cashiers seldom ask for my Lowes card number to connect my purchase to my account. Not sure why they stopped that.Unfortunately it is rare to find the type of service I grew up with. I have called the schenectady Lowes 4 times today and cant get a human being to answer the phone to tell me if my order was in. The operator line answered the first call and told me to hold and then left me there for ten minutes until I hung up and called back trying to reach a specific department. The specific department did not answer the phone which then looped me back to the main menu options. I chose the operator and then no one answered that line and it looped me back to the main menu again.. Great customer service lowes .. I was in the store on April 27th in the evening time attempting to make a large purchase. I couldnt understand why I could not find any workers in the store and then I go up to the contractor desk and there was 5 Lowes employees sitting around talking to each other while the manager was drawing a picture of something.. I was so annoyed that I left and made the purchase at home depot... Keep up the hard work lowes
If you want to pay premium price for mediocre work this is the place to hire! We hired Lowes to install vinyl fencing at our newly purchased home. Enormous mistake!!! After 3 months, 2 different installers and a ridiculous amount of phone calls the fence STILL isnt correct. Check out my review on Yelp for the full story. The store is fine, but dont get anything installed by them.
Really I got disappoint from this store , I purchased counter top last week and today I wanted to return but they told me this item is not in our system , shameful for such a inventory system and the worst customer service .I don’t recommend anyone to deal with this store , specially in 422 balltwon Rd branch .
Employees were too lazy to find tiles for us. They know they have them somewhere, just too lazy to actually find them when we drove all the way from another store and both stores confirmed they had over 300 in stock. Tried customer service, they called the lazy guys and the lazys guys said yeah no we cant find it.
This store is buttoned up! Friendly is great and important but, the staff in the millwork and plumbing departments know their products too! We were surprised to be able to easily purchase Pella Windows - the designer series.We flip homes for fun so, we spend a lot of time in hardware and specialty supplier stores. This Lowes in Niskayuna ranks at the top in every category: price, product quality, delivery, helpful staff. Every single employee in this store should be promoted to a Regional Store Training/Mgmt.
Went in to buy a galvanize sheet,the price on the shelf say $10.28 for the the sheet..Went up to the cashier it shows $22.48 I told her she then call for the manager a lady I even took a picture and show to her it says $10.28 she told oh I went and look and their is no sheet on the shelves that say $10.28 she is probably blind or can read she say I have already checked when i say I can take you to the shelves where i got it from she then say no price like that is their and she walk away what kind of sales manager is that she should not be their no proper service from the lady she was rude and act like an ahole.

2021-07-06Always a deal in here. The customer service is pretty good too. I can always come here to get what I need to accomplish my job. The bathrooms are pretty clean which is unusual for stores this size. The staff goes above And beyond to make sure you find what you need and theyre very knowledgeable in their departments

2022-02-15I had an interview 3 weeks ago and was offered the job. There was an issue with my application and I was told to put it back in and they would push it through so I would receive an email in order to schedule my drug test. I had not heard from anyone and left messages with customer service, the manager Joel said customer service does not always give the message so I was told to contact him or Nancy directly. I waited several days never heard anything, so I went into the store after 2 weeks. Spoke to Joel in person and was told to call on Tuesday if I still had not gotten anything. So I followed his instructions. I called this morning customer service sent me over to Nancy who then explained she was in a meeting (I would have no way of knowing that) so I emailed Joel, who asked me to call him and he told me it goes to spam sometimes. I never heard from him. So after 4 hours I called again to see if there was anything I could be doing, seeing as it’s been 3 weeks and I was eager to work. Nancy then calls me back, says “you’ve called 15 times and during a meeting and emailing Joel, we have too many employees to be dealing with you so I am taking back the job offer” so basically because I was doing exactly what I was told and then she admitted she and him both got my messages and just chose not to contact me back. I have my call log and I called 5 times total. I have made a complaint with corporate and I can not believe that’s how they run their store.

2022-05-23The least customer centric of the Lowes of the area. More than one time in the past 3 weeks I was left waiting for customer service that never arrived. Two weeks ago I wanted to purchase one of their electric mowers ($600+ price). They could not find somebody in the entire store to help. Needless to say, I purchased somewhere else. This morning same thing for a different item. Pushed the button for help, waited 20 (twenty) minutes to get some customer service. No luck.But really how bad can you be to send away a customer with money in his pocket ready to purchase one of your products?

2022-02-18We were in the market for a new dryer, as the old one was no longer drying the clothes. My wife and I first went to Home Depot, but were totally ignored by the rude staff because my wife was using the electric scooter. Apparently, it meant our money was not wanted. We went to Lowes and immediately was asked, May I help you? Obviously, they wanted to do business and got the sale. We wanted a regular push button and dial dryer. Paid $595, which included delivery.

2022-06-16Used to be a good store. Now their customer service is dreadful - literally had to justify why I wanted someone to get a tool down from the job shelf on a ladder rather than a different tool on the floor. Also refused to accept defective equipment

2022-04-22Dont buy/schedule flooring from here. Absolute nightmare in terms of customer service and issues with supply. Cant believe how many times they messed up the order, sent me the wrong information, and just generally had no idea what was going on. Youd think signing a $3k contract theyd be a little bit more helpful. My favorite part was them telling me to schedule the install by calling a number in NYC. I called the number and they had no idea what I was talking about. The flooring department has some real serious issues, and store management has no idea how bad their service is.

2022-03-08This store is very disorganized and associates are not helpful or professional. We tried to have them come to our house to have our windows measured so we could have curtains placed. They took over a month to call us to schedule the appointment. Then, after the guy came, they took several more weeks to call us with an estimate. We ended up deciding on using another contractor. Now, we are thinking of having our carpets removed and we paid for one of their contractors to come to our house to measure the rooms to give us an estimate. We informed them about the 2 types of flooring we are interested in using so we could have an estimate. They called us back and just told us how much the labor would cost. They never gave us a total estimate with the 2 floorings we picked or the amount of square footage we need to purchase. I called them back 6x and could not get ahold of anyone. One of the times, the flooring associate picked up the phone so it would stop ringing and kept talking to customers. I ended up calling the manager to make a complaint and also could not get ahold of them. We ended up deciding to use another company to do our flooring. This Lowes store continues to be an issue. I do not recommend to anyone to go there.

2022-05-21They were having alot of technical issues with card and refund systems and I was originally told I couldnt get a refund but after the workers got together and made it work for me. Specifically, Charizma (hope thats spelled right). She remained polite, calm,and respectful even when I started to get annoyed. 5 star customer service. Thankyou!
