Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Love, love, love Lowes!!! The people are Great!!!! It doesnt matter who you ask, whatever the question...there is Always a Good, Polite, Professional Answer!!! Even the the Employees!!! Best store on Earth...they really listen, they really work With you!!!Thanks Lowes for All that All of you do!!!
This market is the market of humanization, you can easily find a employee to guide you to buy, also they can introduce the goods and give you advice, which is very helpful. And in home depot and Walmart, nobody helps you.And here has many very practical tools with reasonable prices. Here I appreciate an white old gentleman employee, his name is Dave, He can guide you to what you are looking to quickly.I especially appreciate a white young gentleman employee, Ryan, he is really warm hearted and patient and give very practical ideas in two times while guild ing me purchasing. I tried to give him tip but he refused.Ryan the number 1 reason why I choose this market.
This store is really dirty. There is literally trash everywhere in the parking lot and bits of paper and garbage on the floors in the store. It looks like they might have the floors swept once a week ?.Carts litter the parking lot blocking the spaces ...also in the mens room ( which again was dirty) notice theres no soap available for handicapped people ....Lowes does realize were in a pandemic ? .
Excellent customer service!!!I called Lowes to see if they had a. vent filters for my heater register. I was transferred to Kathy. She went over and above to find this item for me. She asked for my phone so that she could check and call me back with the information. Kathy, found the information within 2 or 3 minutes. Know, that Great customer service! Thanks KathyKeep up the good work!
Order a washing machine. I stayed home for 4 hours to wait for the item to be delivered and it arrived damaged. I was told to call the store to schedule the delivery of a new item. When I did, the store manager Alyssa was unapologetic and acted as though I was bothering her when trying to reschedule the delivery. I asked her for understanding given that I spent 4 hours at hike today, and would now need to do so again to wait for the end machine. She proceeded to provide nothing but rude responses and no apology. I ended up canceling the order. I will take my business to an establishment that is helpful, kind and respectful to customers.
After years of dealing with Home Depot, I decided to switch to Lowes. Wish I had done it years ago. Same level of selection and inventory, comparable prices and a more well organized and professional organization. Bonus: Id rather give my money to a company that supports diverse communities and invests in them.
Ive never had such a bad experience at Lowes before. The girl at the pickup desk was extremely rude, condescending, and had an aggressive attitude for no reason. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Im not sure if its because I am an Asian girl by myself, or what would cause me to receive such treatment, but I will not be returning to this location because of how uncomfortable I was made to feel.
They were very good to me i bought 3 doors last fall and we didnt get to put the screen door up until spring this year well it turned out to be the wrong door my pitbulls would of ran right through the screen door it had the screen on the bottom well they ended up refunding me the door when they delivered 2 new security doors that i love and picked up the old door and Melinda did are return that was a bit complex because it was purchased so long ago but she was great and got it all done and she really knew what she was doing and i hope they know how lucky they are to have a employee like her and the Manager Chris was alot of help aswell bith very friendly and understanding of are problem and fixed it thank you to lowes in Eastwood SYRACUSE N.Y
Lowes needs to be more aware about the service being given at their in store centers. My issue was the paint department and it took forever to get 2 gallons of paint. She literally mixed them one at a time. Numerous customers commented about the slowness! Other than that everything else was fine.
If you want to waste your time with “customer service,” look no further.Similarly to their famous line, I “understand” the store is wildly understaffed, however there is no excuse to be a subpar employee to innocent customers who want to pick up an order.Lowe’s works so slowly they don’t change their price tags for weeks and “they forget.” Their manager does not accommodate a lower price despite their fault on their end.I decided to move forward and placed an order, HAD TO CALL Lowe’s to ask if my order came through, and found out it arrived the week prior and was sitting in the store. They made no effort to contact me.At the store, I arrive and see the place is empty. The “manager” tells me “hold on a second” and 5 minutes later, I see a customer line forming AT THE EXIT of the store, completely blocking anyone else from exiting! I proceed to wait 10 more minutes until I realize they actually forgot about me. I keep reminding them “I’m here” until they finally assist me.Finally an hour later, the “loader” “assists” us with our purchase by completely ignoring our requests to load in 2 separate vehicles, then makes a comment about us under his breath. He clearly only cares about clocking out. And the rest of the employees barely care about customers at all.
Went to buy some plants for my garden and some seeds. The plants were a little far removed from the garden center so they need to work on placement of things. They also didnt have a whole lot of variety of plants. I used to love Lowes because they had different things but the last few years its hard to find what youre looking for.
I usually stay away from Lowes because theres never anyone willing to help us, so my go to is usually Home Depot. However, my last couple of trips were different. We were shopping for a specific range and Lowes was the only store willing to special order it for us. All other stores just said out of stock. The young lady put in a lot of time helping us, answering all of our questions. I would definitely be willing to visit them again.
Worst customer service ever. employees talking and laughing at costumers. I know because I had a problem with one of the “ladies “ something she is not. She is very rude and very unprofessional. I have had several problems with her , as has my family. Told a manager and they gave me the same line “we are sorry you have had a bad experience. we will have a talk with her “ in which I know they don’t. Other times I have had big items and have had no help , or have not even been asked if I needed help. They need to hire respectful people, not people that have no class. Go else where, especially if you need help looking for something.
I called several stores to find an item I needed in a hurry, on a day when I was very busy and had no time to waste. Several stores I phoned said they usually carry it, but they were out of stock.Until I called Lowes. I was transferred to the Home Decor department. When I told the man who answered the phone what I wanted, he said, Yeah, we carry those. We have plenty in stock. I told him I was looking for the Jumbo size and he said, We have all sizes and theres plenty in stock. Cmon down. When I got there, there was not single one of what i wanted in stock. Not one, and i needed three. Three employees helped me look, but we never found it. Nor could anyone figure out who it was who told me to, Cmon down.I went straight to Customer Service, got a manager and gave him a tongue lashing he wont forget. This was not the day I wanted to waste nearly two hours on a Wild Goose Chase. If Lowes says they have it in stock, make em prove it. Get a name. Or demand a manager. Especially if you have no time to waste that day.
A really great sales person assisted us. She went above her job. But when I went to cash out they wouldnt use my discount as a military person. I showed my ID and they said I wasnt in system. How could I be, I hadnt been to lowes in a while?? When I go to home depot, all I had to was to show my ID. Just means I wont be shopping there. I did 27 years with military shameful
Put in an application for work just for a part time side job, and I was given two interviews and during both, I was treated poorly, given eye rolls, and one of them had laughed in my face when told about the retail experience I have. Also They told me the retail experience I have wasn’t good enough, and that I was “unfit” for the job.
The cashier at Lowe’s straight up ignored me for like 30-45 seconds when I walked up like she knew I was there but was scrolling through pictures on her phone with her friend and then faces me with her mask all the way underneath her chin which she never puts over her mouth or nose the whole time. then rings up my stuff not saying a word about how much the total was so I looked at the screen to figure it out and then she starts biting her nails before handing me my receipt. The reason why I gave it a two is because a nice guy helped me find what I was looking for
If you’re thinking of doing any kind of home improvement through this location- reconsider and head my warning. These guys are totally incompetent and unprofessional, both their service providers and those that work in the store. Very disappointed and dissatisfied, but they refuse to take responsibility and give you the run around. No one returns your calls if you have any concerns. They say they warranty the work and the results, it’s a total lie. Not to mention all the time effort and energy I wasted trying to get someone to fix the issues- at least ten visits to the store and easily twenty phone calls - and imagine this- NOT A SINGLE PHONE CALL BACK - just promises over and over again. Absolutely disgraceful service. STAY AWAY! Denise the department “manager” wa who I have opportunity after another to follow through- but you can’t even get a phone call for them to say “we aren’t doing anything for you”. On top of that- I was lied to by the last “manager” I spoke with before asking to speak to the store manager and being hung up on. Total amateurs that perform the work and unknowledgeable staffing at the store. No one can helpYou before or after the job. You will be disappointed and you will just be stuck w the results or go mad trying to get anyone to help you. Avoid!!!!!
So I would like to start this off by saying that Jake went above and beyond to fix my problem. I had recently received a fridge that unfortunately did not fit in my house. After weeks of waiting and working with the warehouse, it was disappointing but not at the fault of the store. I received a call the night of my delivery from the appliance department manager Katherine. She simply asked if we wanted a refund or to keep shopping around. I didn’t think that by me saying we were still looking would result in being shipped a full merchandise credit card of $1,500 to an incorrect address. This was never disclosed over the phone which is my main area of concern. Had she mentioned it and confirmed the address, I would not be upset. I received an email from Lowes the following morning confirming that I would be shipped a merch card to my apartment which is a totally different address from my residence that has been where the fridge had been delivered. I wasn’t quite sure if my name would be issued on the card so anyone at that apartment complex could have quite the shopping spree. Yesterday, I had called several departments and was given the runaround (which I know my local Lowes isn’t at fault for). Finally, I contacted a store manager from this location which happened to be Jake and he spent more than enough time to ensure this would be resolved.
Im usually in and out of the store but this trip was a nightmare. There was only one person who was working returns with multiple customers in line. I asked her could she get someone to help her and her response was Im working at my own speed. This is not the customer service I expect but apparently is allowed. If I could Id give less stars.
Lowe’s has been our go-to home improvement store for years but that has come to an abrupt end. Our most recent home project was remodeling our kitchen which of course included buying new appliances 5 weeks ago. The past couple days we noticed our ice and frozen goods aren’t staying frozen in the freezer of our brand new Whirlpool refrigerator. The refrigerator compartment is also not keeping our foods cooled properly causing us to lose over $500 in groceries. Lowe’s said there’s nothing they can do since it is after their 30 day policy… literally less than a week after 30 days. Absolute absence of customer service and care for customers (one of whom is a veteran) who shop there at least once a week and are in the middle of completing remodeling their home. They’ve just lost our business and that of our friends and family as well.
Great 👍 people. Customer service was phenomenal, every employee i walked by said hi, how are you? I didnt have to look too far for help. I was taken by each employee to the aisle i need the items from (2 employees). I found all the item very easily, everything was right in front of you, so it was easy to find. Cashier was friendly and helpful. This lowes store has improved since the last time i went there, about a year ago. Yeah so ✔ it out and have fun. I Sure did 😄👍
I was looking for a specific paint color to match my bathroom decor...I was assisted within 30 seconds with can I help you with something by an amazing employee, I think his name was Mark or Mike...I left ten minutes later a satisfied customer with my eggshell satin finish!Customer Service is excellent ,as well as selection, prices!!
Wednesday night I went to get some home guard stray for bugs and other thing, when I went in the girl at the little building that they have in the garden center was on her phone inside texting. Finished came up to cash out and she was still on the phone texting, then went inside the enclosure to text, I had trouble with the credit card machine as it was off the mounting, I swiped and it said to insert I was looking for the slot to insert, I didn’t want to lift the machine as it looked like it was ready to fall over, not once did she come out of the enclosure to help. The women behind me held the machine up so I could insert, I said the cashier if she got off her phone maybe she would help. Now I’m going to Home Depot, as least I can get a Veteran discount without trying to get someone off her phone
I often shop at this Lowes location but my latest shopping experience was less than desirable. The two employees that I asked for help in finding a certain product were not only rude and dismissive, but they were unknowledgeable about the products in the store they are supposed to be EMPLOYED at. I reported their less than satisfactory job performance to their manager. Hopefully that will help them to better educate themselves in better customer service. If you dont want the job or cant perform the job, a lot of other people can.
My bathroom reno was saved by Lowes. Bought a shower pan through Menards, on March 6th for a bathroom reno starting March 27. Delivery was scheduled for March 23rd. Bottom line it never arrived, Menards and has no live customer service. So I was left frantically searching for a shower pan and went to Lowes. Fortunately I was helped by a team member named Alex. He was amazing. Found a pan, in stock. Plus a great shower door. He was incredibly helpful. Now my job can move forward on time. So if you go to Lowes and need help, ask for Alex. Hes great.
We have had very friendly workers help us . The lady in the carpet explained everything at a good pace that we could understand the process . The store was clean , the one guy walked us to the tubs aisle . We purchased our closet and a few other things. We will be back in the future .
3 cashiers, no self check out, one has An issue where they have to call the lowes credit company and the other 2 cashiers stop helping customers to go help the one whos on the phone. The line grows to 12 people. I saw someone sitting in the security office near the registers and asked if they might be able to call any additional cashiers because the line was getting really crazy. The guy replied were not in the cashier business... Well, when you have People waiting for 10 minutes and all of your cashiers are hanging out at 1 register, youre really failing. Not even going to get into how some people think unskilled labor deserves $15 an hour.
The store is like any other big box home improvement store however, the cool thing about it is Lowes commitment to employing veterans. I work with three different people in all three were veterans and all were polite and professional to the Core. They were helpful and were very good with product knowledge and navigating around the store. One gentleman was about a week out of the army and he already knew his way around the store and had a good customer service character. It just goes to show you that true Service never stops.
My dishwasher died today. I called Lowe’s to ask if they had any in stock and was transferred to the appliance department. After waiting on the phone for five minutes the front desk people came back on and asked if they could help me i explained my problem again and they said they would transfer me to the appliance department again. This happened four times and then they hung up on me I called back And the gentleman said the appliance guy was standing right there he would connect me. Nobody picked up the phone. I called back and explained how frustrated I was and he said he would go get the appliance guy and the appliance guy will call me back. After 45 minutes I bought one at Home Depot. I guess they didn’t want my thousand dollars.
Worst service experience Ive had in a long time, I cant believe the unprofessional behavior of their employees, asked a department manager for help in getting a door down he was talking on the phone said he would help me soon as he was done after a half-hour i asked two other employees for help they said i would need to wait on him to help after forty five more minutes i went to find him again, FOUND OUT HE LEFT THE STORE!!! Like i said worst service ever!
Everytime we order something like cabinets. We have to return them because there damaged. Today was custom order shower pan for a job. Now were waiting 5 more days. Cost us more money returning items. Than have to explain it to a homeowner whos wants there house finished. Corporations just dont care about there contractors buying from them.
The store is always clean. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the products and where to locate them in the store. Was looking for a battery tester for electronics couldnt find one even as I was leaving a employee kept looking found one and came out to the parking lot to let me know he found one. This place is awesome
Good selection of many products. Best customer service of any big box home improvement store I have experienced. As there result of a recent move, I have been there 3-5 days a week. In every case, someone offered to help and either knew what they were saying or referred me to someone who did. They stuck with me until my questions were sufficiently answered. Other big box home improvement store in the area - staff seemed unavailable and/or unknowledgeable. Delighted with their service.
What was once a great store is now in terrible shape. Just witnessed employees shouting at each other, employees ignoring customers -- even people in wheelchairs, and an employee telling somebody Dont bother waiting for me, Im going to be like 10 minutes -- but theres nobody else to help you. They left the store. I went to ACE Hardware, where a dollar or 2 more was well worth it.
I waited a month and a half to get my shower door to the store. Lowes said 2 weeks it should be in. The shower door company said that is Lowes time frame was not theirs. I finally get notified it is ready for pick up.Lowes app said I could do curb side pick up. I followed the app to say I was on my way. Got to Lowes parked in the curbside pick up area, and checked in. Waiting 15 min. No one came out.I walk into the store there were 3 people waiting before me to be helped at the service desk. 3 employees standing around doing nothing. 3 employees actually working. They guy that finally helped me, could not even give me an explanation as to why no one came to do curbside. Took him another 15 min to figure out what I ordered and where it was now.He got the door. Now there are 5 employees standing around and 2 helping a customer.NO one could tell me why the door was not already waiting for me and why no one appeared to do curbside. One employee stated curbside is working fine. I have tried curbside at the Lowes in Syracuse 3 times, never successfully. So I take my door and leave. Not 1 of 5 employees standing around even apologized or offered to help me get this door in my car.Lowes in syracuse has very poor customer service. I even tried calling the store 3 times to speak with a manager and the phone just kept ringing.I am a very unhappy customer. Will be taking my business else where.
Lowes is great. But would you believe that even with a trillion different types of light bulbs in stock, they did not have what I was looking for?A simple red light bulb for the recording studio. Amazingly enough, Valu Home Center has several different types in stock.
Lowe’s has some of the best big hardware store staff. Your safe in the plumbing and HVAC section but if you venture into hardware or electric your on your own. If you are lucky enough to find something you like damaged or the floor model you can usually bargain for nice discount.
I had to call for my company. We placed an order for windows. I was asked to call to inquire about the order status. I have NEVER received such horrible service. I was put on hold and then the guy helping me left me on hold and someone else answered and had no idea why I was calling and told me the guy helping me was with another customer.
We bought an appliance and despite the contract delivery date, they’re still two weeks late with no confirmation for delivery. There’s no answer when we call the store. The manager is always conveniently busy. Costumer care has no answers. But they were super quick to take the money for our purchase. I hope it comes someday. I’m royally pissed off. What a joke of a store and customer service. We had given Lowe’s a chance. But Home Depot is the winner.
I bought a paint for siding wall 10 gallons when I opened the first one it was right but when I opened the second one totally wrong and different colors and went back to store waste time like 2-3 hours and I bought the second time for my basement wall, I prepared everything to paint after I got back from work and wrong color again I went back to change it but they said it over 30 days so they can’t return it anymore so waste money for their careless..
I was very happy with their customer service today. Yesterday the guy didn’t put the lid on tightly after mixing my paint. It spilled on my carpet at home and made a huge mess. They replaced the paint and compensated me for my time and travel. More than fair, nice job.
I walked back almost as far as possible, looked for item needed, and pressed buzzer for assistance. No one showed. They paged continuously. Then a man appeared to tell me he had no prices and it was a special order. He also told me they were closing. The other time the same man went by and I asked for HELP. HE told me they were getting ready to close in 1/2 hour. Great Service! There are other places to shop.
While we got everything we needed the staff were less than ideal. The staff in the paint department were very helpful but the cashier were very very rude. They were talking about customers to other customers and makeing more than a few people uncomfortable. Also much of the store was a mess with things put back in the wrong places and on the ground.
This Lowes Home Improvement will be my store the employees are down to earth and not afraid to give you a hand. Being that I use a wheelchair it is very nice to be spoke to as if you are not in the wheelchair. In my case, for instance, my need for wheels does not affect my ability to speak, understand and comprehend what is going on.This store has this idea understood and has a wonderful attitude Ill be back
Sondra ,the manager , at the Lowes off Midler Ave in Syracuse , was not at all nice or helpful where she and the associate i first dealt with gave me conflicting info / remedies for my provlem . This store and Sondra the manager didnt even take the time to read the csrd or recipt in question where it said the register must activate ! Tried to explain but the level of intelligence was obviously not able to comprehend simple instructions , called my credit card company and resolved! ! Buyer beware !
Large selection of products, well organized, but the staff could be more helpful. Also, there could be more of them. Seemed short-staffed when I was looking for help, had to seek help from someone in a different department... Ended up leaving empty handed and ordered from somewhere else online.
Cant find someone to help find products. Self check out says wait for attendant if you buy any bulk packs, master packs, etc even with barcode stating its multipack. No regular registers open. As a commercial buyer and Lowes card holder, I am appalled by the service and extra time it takes to buy more expensive products here. Taking my business to Home Depot. They service customers.
Poor customer service, called several times to speak to flooring and no one ever answers. Last weekend I was in there and no one in the flooring department. Today I finally asked for a manager, she quickly wanted to transfer me to flooring and before I could say no, she sent my call to flooring and of course, no answer. Very frustrating!! I would like to get tile that I found at this Lowes but there isn’t enough in stock and wish someone could tell me how or if I can order more!!!
Absolutely horrible experience at the lowes on midler ave in syracuse. I went to order building materials the prior afternoon which was a nightmare. Noone is around to help answer any questions. When there is someone, they have no clue about the products. I finally took matters into my own hand as far as ordering everything. Then when I went to pick it up the following morning at 11am, the order was not even picked. When I went to speak to a manager about the problem she had a bad attitude from the start and didnt even offer help or empathy. I ended up just getting my money back and leaving frustrated, especially after I had to pay to get a truck there for pick up. My recommendation for this place Is not to go there. And i think Courtney the manager should not be managing. It may be a good reason why they dont know their business from a hole in the ground.
I walked in for a planter and a few items. I saw a sign that said clearance over all the planters and the price was $9.98When I went to the front to pay they rang them up for $29.99I told the cashier that it was listed for less so she walked with me to the isle. She grabbed the tag and went back up front. She asked a manager to come and see the tag and he said that it was not for this planter. He walked me back and I showed him the area with all planters under the sign. He scanned another one and it was not the listed price.I understand that there are mistakes. He should have either honored it or removed all of them from that area.I ended up buying them for the higher price anyways. Not cool.Very unhappy on how he talked to me.
Im not going to shop at the Lowes on Simon Drive anymore. There are too many Lowes employees not wearing masks and the management doesnt take the issue seriously. Ive contacted Onondaga County about it; I hope someone from the county can help Lowes understand the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic.
An overwhelming number of customers park in the no parking loading zone while they shop for gloves and a pack of gum and nothing is done about it. Ergo, I had to wheel 600 pounds of lumber to the middle of the parking lot and load it myself. Unfortunately, its the same situation at most large retailers in the Syracuse area. No fault of the companies, its the disrespectful, pretentious, self entitled customers that are the issue.
This place is a mess. Everytime we come there it takes forever to find what we need because pretty much nothing is in their correct spots. Today we almost bought a 20 A 250 v receptacle when we needed 20 A 125 v receptacle. Luckily we check everything before we buy it and found the receptacle in the wrong box. This is an older box too so one would think employees would have spotted it. This is a norm for this store. On a good note the cashiers are pretty friendly all the time
Lowes is my go to store. In other large hardware stores, you have to wait forever for assistance. Within 2 minutes of walking down the aisle, I had 3 employees of the DeWitt store ask me if I needed assistance. One of them went on the computer helping me look at bathroom sinks while offering expert advice. His name is Adam. You just dont get this level of service at Home Depot or other stores. Very good experience. Thank you Lowes.
In January, right after the holidays, I went to Lowe’s on Simon Drive with my contractor to special order four cabinets for my kitchen. When they finally arrived from Kraft Maid, several weeks later, two of the cabinets were not the correct size. This was realized after my old cabinets and sink were removed. The cabinets were reordered. Weeks later, they again came in and one of them was still the wrong size. I am now looking toward Easter and still don’t have the remaining cabinet. I have not had a working kitchen since January and have been more than patient. I have also paid for my countertop from another company and they are still waiting to come and measure my countertop. I paid Lowe’s in full at the time of order and still do not have my materials. This stinks! I plan to also put a review on Yelp and have considered going to News Channel 9, YOUR STORIES. I would advise not dealing with Lowe’s for ordering kitchen cabinets. I am paying a contractor for his time, but Lowe’s does not seem to care.Jeanne Sullivan
It slows what more can you say? Generally friendly staff always have time for you. Parking is generally available very close to the entrances. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait as there arent always a lot of cashiers open, but this is never really been much of a problem for me.
I have a Lowes card with the 5% off and I am always there. When my daughter remodeled her bathroom we used Lowes for a lot of the materials and saved alot. The service is hit or miss. some of the workers are great, they know their stuff and are friendly and helpful, at other times the staff just dont want to work, but since much of what I want is self help anyway, its not a big deal to me.Its the same with choices, they dont seem to have as big a variety as Home Depot but sometimes its the other way around with Lowes the better choice.Walmart depresses me and I only go there is quality is not as important as price.
I was there to buy a lawn mower. I knew, what I wanted and was ready to buy. No one was in the department. I walked down the aisles looking and finally found someone. She said she would get someone to help because she was helping someone else. After waiting for sometime I searched fo the best another person. He said hed find someone for me. Needless to say someone e finally helped me . From there ever thing went smoothly. It was about 8 pm.
Better than Home Depot. Found alot of pruxes are better than Home Depot, Customer service better than Home Depot and seem to have better stock. For instance, Goid luck getting my water filter for my refrigerator at Home Depot. Had it at Lowes and less expensive brand in a 2 pack that saved money. Get 2 for small amount more than name brand for one.
Front desk girl was great. Went back to look at countertop seen one I like asked to guy standing at computer he said quartz I asked style he said I dont know but do you think Mitch would ask can I get you help. Nope he just stayed looking at electronics. So I left, and went to home depot.
I go there a lot and usually I can get what i want although they do not carry as good a selection or quality of trim as Home Depot. The people are ALWAYS GREAT!! Today however there were several issues, not with the people to be clear.1. They had zero flat top carts available. All were being used for store materials that should have been put away. They never have enough it seems. Not a big deal, but frustrating to have to hunt for them almost everytime.2. Of a much bigger concern, and why only 3 stars, is that their premium 2x4 studs were not. Until just a few weeks ago they carried quality Burrel studs as their premium studs. Almost every one a good 2x4. Today though their premium stud was anything but. Almost every stud had serious defects. Large cracks, bent, twisted, lots of large knots. After trying to sort for about 5 minutes I gave up and went elsewhere. I do note that the DeWitt store still carries Burrel studs and wonder why the Camillus store stopped carrying the quality stud.Customers SHOULD NOT have to sort through a bunch of inferior material just to get what they need, especially if they are spending top dollar for premium.
I went into this Lowes in Syracuse today, and was seeking help on a product. When I asked for help and why they told me I can just look on the back and read it myself. Mind you there were 3 workers just standing around doing nothing at the time. I cant believe they were not willing to help out a customer. I went to Home Depot where I was assisted and helped without a problem. I will never go back to Lowes again, and I will let everyone know to not go there either. Very lazy workers and unprofessional. They have lost my business for good after today!
The location is a little difficult to find as it’s set back from the main arterial roadway. However there is a large sign near the driveway to turn in. Drove down there to pick up a freezer that was on sale from the Black Friday deals, which was fantastic. Went to appliances and told the lady working there what I wanted and she said they were all out of them. Then I told her I just drove there from the Rome location and that the folks there said they had 6 of them in this store. She checked on the computer and then promptly brought one out to me.
On line ordering for in store pickup at Oneida Lowes in particular is nothing but frustration and aggravation - they have messed up 10 out of 10 orders over the last 2 months, and I often end up having to pick items myself because they arent ready even though Lowes notifies me they are! Other local stores (Rome, New Hartford) are somewhat better, but still not consistently reliable. Not sure why it is so difficult to pick the right quantity and part numbers, especially when they often take an entire day to do so, but bottom line is youre better off getting the items yourself or just shopping elsewhere. Shame, because Lowes (all CNY area stores) is otherwise a pretty great place.
Try calling several times to get connected to the garden center and no one answers. Call the main line and the lady said she would transfer to garden center. Was on the line for a long time so hung up and called back. Tried several times to get through just to ask a question about stock. No one answers. So not very helpful.
Called in an order earlier in the day so that after work I could run in ,pickup and head home. The order wasnt ready, had to wait while someone picked it and when reviewing the order I discovered that it was wrong. So I then had to go and get the items myself because the associate became busy! This is one of a few examples I have of how disorganized and (NOT ) so customer friendly Lowes has become. I could tell you some real whoppers they pulled. And forget about emails to customer services at corporate, they dont respond! Goodluck!!
Worst store I ever went to. The service was unacceptable. Went to rent a carpet cleaner which was not available, when I asked the most unfriendly, rude associate named Keven if he could contact another store to see if they had one available. Hes reply was no he wouldnt do it because he didnt work for Bissill. He also swore at me and challenged me to a fight. Coworkers grabbed him and took him to a back room. Horrible, by Lowes, hello Home Depot
Good selection of paints and plants, but the plants are a bit overpriced. The gentleman on the paint department helped me with the selection of the paint finish ( satin, semi-gloss). If you get a merchandise refund on a card, it can be used only under the driver license that the refund was issued.
After having a disastrous experience with the Watertown store, I went to this store to identify my options for rectifying the situation. Rich, in the appliance department, was phenomenal. He spent nearly 3 hours trying to help me rectify an issue with the Watertown store, for which he receives no credit. He was thorough and extremely patient with the Watertown store personnel. Ten times more patient than I would have been! He was able to resolve my issue and save me hours in the car. The irony is... Watertown told me I needed to drive there, but when we called them from the Syracuse store, the person working in appliances didnt even know how to fill out the paperwork. It would have been a complete and utter waste of time to make the trip. Rich walked her through the paperwork step by painful step.
Lowes home improvement in Syracuse NY is a good place to go to buy contractor supplies. I am a self employed Plumber/ HVAC guy who also does Sewer and drain cleaning plus kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Not EVERYTHING is WHOSALE so be careful. I have been doing this long enough to know where to go to get what supplies at the lowest cost. But in a jam its great for a contractor.
If I had a million dollars, I would totally buy a fixer-upper, and redo the entire place. Lowes makes me feel like a kid in a candy store!Im stuck in a tiny apartment with my 3 kids, and wish I had a big ole house to renovate and customize for my kids! My major is architecture, and even though Ive had to take a few years off from school for medical reasons and relocation due to DV, Lowes really lights a fire under my tush, and renews my passion and longing to finish school! My mind goes into a whirlwind of ideas and someday, Ill do ____.
Remodeling a house we just bought and have had awesome help from the Lowes in Oswego. Their employees are really amazing and knowledgeable...however, every time I go to the Lowes in Clay/Liverpool i do not get the same treatment, their people are rude and do not want to help us..crazy the difference between the two.
Well heres what to expect at this shirt hole store. I asked a guy with a dyed red mohawk haircut to get something off the top of the shelf whom in return started getting loud giving me a hard time about where the empty spot on the shelf was. when I asked where the manager was I was told to find him. I then went to the service desk and asked Tyron for the manager and he completely ignored me. I GUESS THIS IS HOW LOWES TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS
Our refrigerator broke on us last week and we decided to go to Lowes as it is the closest big box store to us. We browsed around, measured and went to the counter for purchase. We were expecting to take it home at that moment as we needed it, but Allison in appliances was quite the rare treat. They did not have the refrigerator we wanted in stock and she took the time and had the patience to look at their stock and found one that could be delivered the next day, old one taken away for a mere $15.00 and was even less expensive than the one we were looking at! We appreciate you Allison! (Hopefully my husband remembered her name correctly) We also would like to thank the two gentlemen that delivered our refrigerator to us the next day. They were in good spirits and got the job done lickity-split! Lowes made what was an annoyance a very pleasurable experience! Thank you individually and as a team!
I was in the electrical department looking at outlets--I had taken one out of the box to look at the instruction sheet inside to make sure it would work in my application. (The box was not sealed)The employee who worked in that area happened to walk by, and said why open the box!...I said I was trying to get some more info ...then he said Thats why you BUY it and walked away.Like it would have been too much trouble to help me or ask me what questions I had...I felt like I was treated like a second-class citizen. I put the outlet back on the shelf, and drove up to the street to Home Depot and purchased it, thats how irritated I was.No one wants to be treated like that.
Bought a washer and dryer on September 5th. They have to be installed together. We’ve been getting the runaround since then. It’s now December 2nd. The washer has been sitting, uninstalled, in our bathroom waiting for the dryer to be delivered and installed with it for three months. We finally thought, beyond all hope, that we had it scheduled to be done today. Promises from the store and the installers. Cancelled all weekend plans to be here for the big day. Nope! Store has lost the dryer. We’re done with Lowes forever.
One for one comparison, I prefer Lowes to HD. While many items are similar, the lighting they offer is definitely better; when returning something without a receipt they will credit the sales tax. At HD they will not, & even with a receipt after 90 days you lose the sales tax U paid! There is a much higher employee turnover at HD, also the level of expertise seems higher at Lowes, perhaps this is due to the longer employee retention.
This is quite possibly the worst Lowe’s in the United States. Low inventory, Less selections and what’s with the loss prevention employees following everyone around the store?I hate having to visit this location. The manager should travel to the Massena, NY store to see how a store should be managed.
We ordered a refrigerator and stove-had to wait 4 days for delivery!! then less then 24 hrs before delivery they call and tell us our fridge is now on back order for 2wks!!! we go over pick out a different one that cost twice as much as the 1st one we picked out so that the stove and fridge could be delivered together at the same time. the stove shows up but no refrigerator!!! they tell us it was damaged well loading it but that it was still gonna be delivered on the same day at a different time. waited all day no call and no refrigerator. Tried calling to find out what was going on, and was told the delivery guy marked the job as completed!! and then no one knew where our fridge was or when we were getting it-not the company, or the manager-no one had answers needless to say we are still waiting for answers as to where our 1,200 fridge is and when were getting it. I will NEVER, NEVER do business with Lowes again and I will be certain to spread the word to everyone on just how bad the services is.!!!!!
I used to come here all the time over home depot because it is closer to my office. I own a business and would spend thousands here per month. All that has changed now ever since lowes decided to care more about taking time with their Christmas decorations than with the people that actually make them their money. The pro desk has gone way down hill. They hired the slowest, and most non personable people I have ever met. They only hire people because if the color of their skin and What gender they identify with. Its obvious they do it. Not saying I care about that, but dont hire just because of that. Thats racist in its self. Lowes is losing thousands per year just from me and I have many contractor friends who feel the same way. Lowes better clean up their act and get some people in there that actually know what they are doing or they are going to start losing a lot more business.
Your employees would be of more use not being present. No one knows where anything in. No one has any actual knowledge in the departments they work in, besides Adam in plumbing. Dude is amazing, the other lowes employees laugh at me when I ask for Adam because they know he’s one of the few with any skills. Very few times will anyone help load/offer to help when purchasing 25 sheets of Sheetrock. Overall very disappointed in lowes in general. I try to do more local business as they do far greater at pleasing their customers. Spent $8k over the last 2 months. Will be defiantly searching ways to not do business here.
Noone available to speak with about fence installation according to receptionist.I called a different location and the girl who answered the phone was unprofessional and sounded stupid on the phone. If this is the kind of people Lowes hires they need to train their employees on speaking on the phone. She sounded clueless and undirected. Yeah, wait a minute she said. So unprofessional......
Its probably the best place to go for any crafts or building projects you have. I cant complain about them. Just really big. I feel they could use moving platforms like airports have for the main aisles. And perhaps Associates with better knowledge of where to find items. Id strongly suggest doing what wegmans does with iPad as a directory service thats searchable for the items you want.

2021-06-22Great store. The associates were great and knowledgeable. The gentleman working near the grills was able to both answer questions and help find the appropriate grill cover. The hardest part was figuring out which grill to choose from (they had several). Additionally, the Lowes movers were very fast at delivering and even arrived before the stated time. Overall, great! However, the store can be slightly hard to spot from the street, but worth the time to stop in.

2022-06-01Customer service needs an overhaul. No people skills. Was given an attitude for asking a simple question. Another time I called in over 5 times. Was forgotten about on hold, one time was transferred to 4 different departments then hung up on, and hung up on again after a long hold. Finally got to talk with someone who seemed to know what was going on!On the flip side, Appliance department was very helpful and easy to work with!

2022-05-10So I just went to the Lowes in Syracuse and one of their workers, Calvin Godbolt, was walking into the store and saw us walking out and stopped and asked if we needed help. He helped us out to the truck and helped my fiancee load the truck. He was courteous and kind. We need more workers like him. Thanks again Calvin

2022-06-07Double charged my credit card then was rude when I returned about the issue. Manager handle it good. Unfortunately the curbside pickup girl was not good at all. Unprofessional and rude. Charged me twice for a item brought online for pickup.

2022-03-30I had to go to Lowes for boxes to pack out my house. I looked online to see what aisle they would be in and they were in that exact location. The staff is always very helpful and nice.

2022-05-19I would like to thank Daniel and his manager from the camillus store for taking the time to help me use a gift card that would not work. Daniel and his manager were very helpful and professional through the entire process.Lowes should be proud to have 2 such indiividuals working for the company.

2022-04-15There are almost no service people around to ask anything. Cashiers stand and watch. This place is a total DYI. And now they charge for bags. Home depot is better and cheaper

2022-06-16This store offers the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered! Not a bit of help. I waited an hour for an order that was confirmed ready 20 minutes before I got there. In the end, the employee damaged the product and disappeared, ultimately leading to me picking my own order.
