Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
I went to Lowes Ridgehill, Yonkers, NY location to purchase a refridgerator for my mother. We had a good idea about what we needed as we narrowed the choices down to the LG versus the Hisense, counter-depth refridgerator. Upon physical inspection of the two models, we decided we would get the Hisense. Issues - 1. Unclear who was covering the different sections - we were directed to the refridgerators by a kind staff member Diego then went to the front desk to make our purchase and open a lowes card. When we got to the customer service desk - the associate Jasmine then let us know that we should see the attendant back in the refridgerator section - when she realized I was also applying for the card she decided to do the application - she used a mobile device and entered my information - I got approved and she showed me the information on the device but I received no confirmation or print out of the transaction. When I asked she stated I should be able to conduct the purchase with an easy information look-up with my name and number. I was not settled with that plan because I wanted at least an email confirmation. She made an excuse that the wifi was sometimes spotty. I requested a receipt or printout since I just gave her my personal identifiers that affect my credit and identity theft is a major concern. I asked for a supervisor or someone else to look into the matter because she stated she did not know how to print the receipt. The supervisor also was baffled as to how to give me a receipt. I was annoyed but I went to the refridgerator section to complete the purchase. When Diego tried to look up my information to complete the purchase, the information did not come up. About 20 minutes elapsed and I still did not receive the email confirmation. After a long wait and the assistance of another staff member Charmaine, who had to contact customer service, we learned that the associate, Jasmine, entered my name incorrectly. I spent an extra hour in the store to sort through this mistake and make the purchase. The delivery was scheduled for Wednesday 6/15. On 6/13, I receive a call to say the refrigerator is out of stock, but they will receive delivery 6/13 and 6/17 and should receive the refrigerators then. I called today several times to reschedule the delivery and have been placed on hold for now 30 minutes - Yes, I decided to write this review as I am waiting on hold. This is my second call. First call rang indefinitely, second call - 30 minutes and counting. I also received a bill from the LOWEs third party and would love to pay the bill but have yet to set up the online account but I dont have an account number to use. No refridgerator , poor customer service. So I should have went to Home Depot, instead of low quality lowes. This is an expensive lesson learned.
I bought a water heater. Imagine this the workers helped me load it onto a flat wagon, walked me to register and completed transaction then helped me load it into my truck all within twenty minutes. I was very impressed. Lowes thank you for being not just another corporation. Nice job!!
They seem short taffed at the Lowes. The staff needs morei mprovement and more training. The prices are not great compared to the competition staff. The people are always present. They do not honor the plant warranty of one year. I tried to return plants, but the plant did not taste as good ocmpared to other restaurants.
I used love Lowes vs Home Depot because they had better service & knowledgable staff who were always willing to help you even if they didnt work in that particular department. It seems they now hire the same quality of people who used to work at Home Depot who basically are there just for the looks because it sure doesnt seem like they want to do any work and they all have an attitude, unless the big bosses are in town then they magically turn into a 411 information machine. To top it all off as we the consumer & I in addition also a contractor get hosed with the constant rising costs of goods & limited amount of supply in stock. Now we are getting charged a recovery fee every time you purchase paint but wait theres more we now also have to pay for bags YES BAGS The same as grocery the stores, Wait wasnt just a year ago Lowes was not giving you back change do to shortage of coins so most of us donated our change not to a charity but to the Lowes corporation, they since added a charity organization after probably getting backlash for it. So I have a question for the corporate big wigs what is a recovery fee for paint? I believe that means like a recycling fee so I guess we can now bring and dispose our old paint to Lowes correct since we are charges a recycling fee. What in the world is going on in this country today when are we going to stop getting hosed.
I am a regular customer who shops this lowes and my receipt was never checked up until today where I bought four mountings and paint rollers and left the store. While going to my car a lowes associate ran towards me in the parking lot wanting to see my receipt. I showed him and he said it’s ok he just looked at the receipt and didn’t even look at the items I bought. On another occasion I bought a dewalt sander and had to return it but forgot the receipt home. They were going to give me store credit so I decided I will return another day with receipt in hand. While walking around the store with my unreturned sander the old white woman who was working self checkout was looking into my shopping cart I felt a feeling like she was going to question me
I was pleasantly surprised with this Lowe’s. We’ve been going to Home Depot for our home improvement needs. And wow what a difference !! Lowe’s is clean, organized, have helpful staff that are around to answer questions. So pretty much the complete opposite of HD near Costco 😂🤣We’ll be returning, they have everything!
Honestly, a vast majority of the staff is clueless. Not sure why they work there. It’s either very young kids who know absolutely nothing about construction, the products in the store or how-to and/or much older guys that maybe worked construction once or twice in their life, but really do not have any trade skills to advise on anything.I give three stars because the store is definitely very clean and frankly, beautiful when compared to Home Depot. However, Home Depot does have much more experienced floor service. The one worker Lowe’s has that actually can advise in any level is an Asian guy and an old Italian man (maybe Mario?), lol.
This is the worst store aver , the managers their losing a lot of business just the way they talk to customers . I was able to Mach price from 4 different location but this location refuse to Match the price only because a supervisor did a mistake and they all of managers supported him just because they don’t want to say he did a mistake . We company buying 17k every 2 months we going back to Home Depot where they respect customers .
Currently writing this review after receiving poor help with customer service this morning. I called to receive a phone number for my refrigerator warranty at 11:07 the customer service worker that answered the phone did not provide her name and provided me with the wrong phone number twice. When I proceeded to call back she continued to place my call on hold and would not answer the phone. After finally having to call from an alternate number I was helped by “Stephanie” who provided me with the correct phone number which is the only reason I’m leaving 2 stars. I did ask for the other customer service associates name which she says may have possibly been “Michelle” which is probably not true. My advice to the person I initially spoke with is that if you cannot do your job or don’t enjoy your job for that matter, find another one when someone calls for assistance and you cannot provide it being nasty or ignoring the call is not the answer. I will not be spending my money somewhere with nasty incompetent workers.
I went for a slab for a pocket door. I found the associate who works in doors and she came over to help me out. I told her what i need and she simply pointed. My husband pulled one door to look it was damaged. I wanted to look for another door and tried to move some, the stack was heavy. The sales associate wasnt able to move any doors either... She was a smaller women with bright green 1 1/2 finger nails. She tried to move a slab but almost broke a nail and stopped. She shrugged her shoulders and said whats there is what we have... I asked her if there was someone else can help out? She replied there wasnt anyone else.. She shrugged and walked away. She left me there with my husband to get whatever we could...I too have get my nails done, but when your nails prohibit your job then maybe possibly theres an issue.
This lowes does not even deserve a single star! Customer service is really bad. Their lack of communication is what me made so frustrated. Today, I was expecting a fridge delivery that was supposed to be delivered between 12pm-4pm. I called lowes between that time frame to check on delivery status and an associate told me that the delivery driver was going to call me 30 mins before delivery. So, I waited waited and waited even more and no sign of delivery. It was already past 4pm and I did not receive a call from the delivery driver. I called lowes and told them about the situation and told me to call XPO, the delivery company that was delivering the fridge. I called up XPO and they told me a whole other story of my order being closed. I was even more confused, like what is going on. I called lowes again and an associate told me that my fridge delivery was on the way. I called again and this time an associate said that the my fridge wasnt even loaded on the truck. The associate said I need to reschedule my delivery the next day.If my delivery needed to be rescheduled why couldnt they notify me by phone or email at the very least. Every time I called I heard a different story. This is my last time ordering anything from this lowes. On that note, theres literally a home depot under the costco on sprain road which is far better than this lowes.
If you are serious about redesigning your kitchen, there is only one person to see in Westchester – Sergey at Lowes - Ridge Hill. Im not sure how this store has attracted such an educated, patient, professional with an architectural degree, but kudos to management. This service DOES NOT EXIT AT HOME DEPOT, trust me.
I went there for a security door. The store associate Josh, was very accommodating and pleasant. He had a great attitude for a younger man and was helping another person at the time. He needed to find what she was looking for but quickly got the door I needed and quickly attended the womans needs right after he helped me with the door. He even told the woman to excuse him for just a second while he assisted me. Very courteous. A very positive look for Lowes.
When I asked an employee for help I received a rude response. Another employee apologized for her behavior and assured me that he would address her actions and he assisted me.I recently visited the store and I had a good experience. I will increase my rating to 4 stars. I am a happy shopper.
My first and likely last time ordering online with lowes. I’ve been on hold with their Yonkers Ny location for almost 20 mins now. I ordered an appliance on 12/4. Emails stated someone would call me to schedule install and delivery. Pick up showed Dec 11 which is today. I called on Tuesday 12/7 to see what was going on. I spoke with customer care and the installation service as well as an associate from the Yonkers store. Transferring me to installation in store resulted in ongoing ringing and no one ever answered. I was left with thinking I would be called 30 mins prior to delivery and it would be coming on Saturday (today) I am then told it was never changed to delivery in store and it is too late to schedule for today. So I am on hold trying to connect with someone after chatting online and having no result. I’m on hold almost a half hour and no one is answering to help me schedule this. Emails show someone was supposed to reach out to me but no one has. Customer service is very inconsistent and poor. Don’t say that someone is going to call to schedule and then I find out I have to reach out to schedule the delivery instead. Wasted dayEdit. Finally got through and hopefully can schedule. After calling 9 times and being put on hold between 5mins-20mons
The customer Service is horrendous. I ordered two items, one of which was not available immediately and had to be shipped to the store on April 21, 2021. I spoke with four to five representatives to ask if they could hold the available item until the unavailable item was delivered to the store on May 10, 2021. They all said yes and stated they would put notes in the file, but never did. The unavailable item was not going to be available until later in the month, but no one called to update me. After several calls, being placed on hold and given the run around, we were able to get hold of a customer service Representative who expedited the unavailable item delivery to May 17-18 (a week after it was promised). I again asked that the available item be held until the same date and for a note to be put in the file. The rep agreed, but never did it. On May 17, 2021 I received a notice that the unavailable item had arrived. We schedule pick up with our contractor. Later that afternoon, I receivednotice the store cancelled my available item. I called to rectify the issue and all the reps claimed they were not aware of my specific issue, which should have been in the notes. None of the reps were helpful and caused great stress, delay and additional costs because now we had someone at the store waiting for the item. I would not recommend this store. Our experience was absolutely terrible. Nothing about the entire experience went as expected or as promised. The reps were completely incompetent causing additional delay and expenses. Don’t shop here if you can avoid it.
First time here at my local store. Never again.Came in to purchase two refrigerators for my home what could have been an easy cash transaction turned into an annoyance. Walked In, saw exactly what I came in to buy and waited 35 min for a appliance rep so we can pay and leave never happened. Spoke to other employees who called rep through loudspeaker and still no service. I kindly left since there were 20 customers in store and all sales reps were extremely busy and not able to make sales. I doubt this place will last very long in this area unless theres a major change in customer service and sales. Start with management. Over 4k loss in 35 min.
I was shopping for the floor materials. Andrew and Rick at Lowes Yonkers, were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, they did not have enough inventory at the store. They quickly researched for me and they sent me to Lowes NJ to get them. It was very pleasant encounters. I know that the staff do not get the recognitions often enough. I want them to know that their enthusiasm and willingness to help me have not been forgotten. Thank you.
This store has the most disrespectful customer service team!!!! Last week I tried to return an item I had purchased but not yet used since I have been renovating a house for several months. The associate told me I couldn’t return it without a receipt. Ok fair enough, although upstate NY where I purchased it, I have been purchasing and returning things for months without receipts, they give you store credit, so you have to spend the money there. This week I returned with the receipt, and the new story is that the store has a 90 day return policy. Really? Are we not in the middle of a global pandemic? There was supposed to be no travel from Vermont to NY state. To he honest, this week s not the first time I haven’t got my money back from Lowe’s. I purchased a washer and dryer and the same thing happened. They refused to deliver to my house in the winter. I will continue to AVOID shopping at Lowe’s due to their uncompromising policies and their poor customer service. Home Depot is orange and happy and calling my name!!!!
Customer service was not too helpful. Given the runaround. First told the price was $1200, when the posted price and price online was $599. While trying to decide on getting the last snow blower which was damaged and had no manual, customer service could not find someone to answer my questions, was told by manager Mark this isnt the price is right, you either take it or leave it, then he continued his phone conversation ... never going back there again ... they should have made the Fire House instead.
Went in to get additional plants. Was REALLY disappointed with customer service. They had a good selection of plants and had more arriving. Only one register open in the garden center. Line did not move. went inside, again only one cashier who has to stop every now and then to assist self checkout. Self checkout was the main option. I dont do self check out. It takes jobs away.Left with out making a purchase.
Its been such an ordeal to get this particular location to deliver an appliance. Literally the store manager lied about having one delivered and Ive been calling every day for a week until my call times out after 30 mins being on hold. I dont think that anyone picks up the phone over there. Wondering if I can have a different location deliver my appliance.
Bought the same refrigerator here for almost 250 less than what home Depot wanted. Suffice it to say I did use a 10% military/veterans discount. Even without the discount it was still more than 200 less. Only PC Richards came close to the price by a few dollars, but they werent giving the military discount. Home Depot gives a military discount on everything BUT APPLIANCES.
If I could give a zero star I would. Scratch that I would give negative stars.I ordered a fridge from them to be delivered the next day. Great! I then proceeded to get notifications that due to a mix up, even though the fridge was ready to go, they didn’t put it on the truck. Ok, mistakes happen I get it. Next day “we will get it out to the house we promise” hurray it’s on the truck! But wait now the truck has broken down and we can’t get it to you until Friday. Unacceptable, but fine please make sure it is there. Notification today at 4pm that they can’t get it the fridge there till Sunday the earliest. Call the store and was told to deal with it, it’s not our problem and just be happy you’re getting a fridge.
We ordered two doors on 6/2/2021 in the store. The delivery date that the store gave us was 7/27/2021. However, on July 27 and after many inquiries about the doors delivery the store couldn’t gave us any answer as to were our doors are! But to my surprise they gave the vendor’s contact and told us to contact the vendor directly. We spoke to the vendor and they said the delivery date has changed to 8/26/2021, one month delay. I have my old doors removed and basically two of the bedrooms are now without the doors for another month. This is ridiculous, and I can’t believe that Lows which holds itself with such a high standards in customer service is not able to meet its promise even after receiving the full payment. If Lows can’t keep their promise to deliver its customers’ purchases on time then they better stop selling and stop bothering people with the delays.
Purchase a bathroom vanity the matching medicine cabinet and a new toilet! The vanity was broken they sent the wrong toilet I dont know how! They picked up the broken and wrong items yesterday so I went back to purchase the correct toilet! I bought the vanity online from home depot! Loews is ok to purchase small items like light bulbs nothing major!
This Lowes customer service is truly garbage. They truly dont value their customers and their time. If you call the store, they pick the phone and just put on hold and never pick backup. I am shocked at this service, and I will never shop at Lowes or recommend anyone to shop here.
This may be the worst Lowes Ive ever been to. Incredibly understaffed. There was a line 10 people deep at the register and only 1 register open. Similarly, the customer service counter had a line around the desk but not enough people to serve the customers. Really terrible.
The absolute worst service. Ordered fencing in spring of 2020. The day I signed the work order was the last day I hear from the rep Greg. There were understandable delays due to covid but I had no idea my order came in until the delivery service wanted to drop ship 10 pallets of concrete. Every time I call, Im on hold for a min of 30 mins and never hang up with a feeling of great service. I will never again use this lowes for home projects
Did an in store pick up which took 5 days to get with all the products in stock. By the time my order was ready some items were out of stock so they canceled it on my order. I went to go pick up my items which I had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. After waiting in the long line it took over 50 minutes to receive my items for in store pick up. Then they said the card payment of my brand new Lowe’s card didn’t go through so they had to cancel the order which took another 10 minutes to check out.My next store visit a few days later i had a very rude interaction with the manager. First, I asked her for assistance locating an item which she told me it was not her department and to ask somebody else. She later assisted me at the register and presented an attitude while I was explaining my concern about the product I was trying to buy being damaged as the box was clearly opened and dented. She ignored my concern and did not give a price reduction. I was too frustrated in the moment to bother arguing about the price reduction, however now after returning home to realize there are missing items from my multi-tool set, I am even more frustrated. The entire time she was rude and unhelpful. I am never going back to this Lowe’s.
I had been going to the Home Depot but I wont be going there any more. The staff at Lowes is very helpful. I was picking up sheet rock and John, who was going on his break, stopped and helped me load the sheet rock. We just purchased an oven and a dishwasher last week and we had 3 people help load them into the van. THANK YOU and you will see me again
Items indicated ready for pickup were not actually ready. One item wasnt even at the store. Needed to make 2 trips and wait each time. Locker system would be nice if it worked. My locker opened but was empty so I had to wait on line then wait while they found the item in the aisle.
Awful staff at this store. They couldn’t care less about customer service. There is a girl named Annie she is a “head cashier” at the pick up/ returns area. I don’t think I have ever seen a person to move so slowly with a line out the door. 40 mins to pick up my item. Not good enough Lowe’s. Train your staff to be more efficient
Do not buy from this Lowes location. The stores customer service never picks up the phone. And they postpone delivery constantly. But before ordering, they told me its in stock. The most outrageous is they will let you know that the delivery date is not happening on the same day ( not even the day before). and this happened twice already. You plan your day and wait for the delivery. only to hear that its not happening on the day of.
I had a emergency and needed a chest freezer . Drove to Best Buy , Home depot , and other stores in surrounding area they were either sold out or back ordered . Call this Lowes and a nice older gentleman answer ask if they have chest freezers available he check and told me what the have size and model . The deep freezer I was looking for they just had one left , He put my name and number on the box so That it would be available by time I made it to the store. I really appreciate that kind of customer service . Thank You .I will be back to shop again very soon.
This was about the worst experience I have had at a home improvement store. It was not crowded, but I still waited over 30 minutes. There was just one person in front of me and he was waiting to speak with a manager. He was STILL WAITING when I left. I had received an email that my online order was ready for pickup. It took 5 minutes before anyone to even asked the order number. Then after 20 minutes more of waiting, they said they could not find the item. I finally just asked for the order to be cancelled, since they couldnt find it. Then it took another 5 minutes for them to tell me they cancelled it. I was not given anything in writing saying that. Employees were in the customer service area just walking around instead of helping me or the people behind me. None of those employees had their masks covering their nose and mouth. Home Depot, here I come.
Eh...was pleasantly surprised when a Lowes was built in Westchester. I dont normally shop there. I bought some carpet pads and bathroom tiles from them in January at the start of my apartment, but didnt need them. I tried today to return them and was abruptly turned away citing thst I was over the 90day return policy, even with receipt and unopened merchandise. I was really taken back by it because during this covid pandemic many retailers have extended their return policies to make it easier on consumers so to be abruptly shut down and not even offered at least a store credit, I felt it was a bit rude. But thats why I go to Home Depot for home improvement stuff. Wont be going back to Lowes
Customer service is extremely bad! Ordered a refrigerator for delivery on 9/19 and they didn’t ship out at that date even no updates for what happened until I called and called. Finally I got the item a month later but it was like this. Trying to call the store to follow up with exchange, they placed me on hold twice for almost an hour then hung up on me. WORST shopping experience EVER!
I love Lowes just as much as I love the other store..lowes has soooooo much more , price wise a bitter better ,the help is always available..but this time the out door furniture was very limited..its summertime still..but Im a loyal customer always..Im planning on finally getting a Lowes card👏🏽👍🏽🇵🇷
WORST. PLACE. EVER. for home improvement. Their IT system showing if items are in stock is worthless. If you order big items like bathroom cabinets or shower bases, when they get delivered to the store, they dont know where it was stored, how to get it down... I wasted 40 minutes in the store after being notified that I could pick up my purchase until they could find the thing. And again their IT systems are not telling them where things are.Home delivery is even worse, once ordered they have no idea where things are, and delivery dates are not kept.Customer care employees at this store know all this and dont care about their customers. They are happy to ship you off to their manager who makes sure he is not available any time.Go to Home Depot Yonkers instead. Their staff is not always the friendliest either, but:- If their website shows things are in stock, they are.- Order and pickup works well (you order, you get a confirmation email, you go to the store and you are out with your purchase in 5 minutes. And in stock means in stock.)- And delivery dates are kept, and you can see the progress of your delivery. They dont see me at Lowes EVER again.
Horrible customer service experience. Only person who works there is Ako. It took them three weeks to cancel a online order after 25 times calling the customer service and Lowes Yonkers. I was supposed to get my order on May 8. They changed the delivery three times after that and final three weeks ago I asked them to cancel the order. They could not do it. Finally I had to drive from Queens NY to Yonkers NY Lowes. Ako able to cancel the order. It will take me quite a while before buying again at Lowes online or in store. They literally suck out my soul with this experience.
This Lowe’s is horrible. Every experience is annoying. Most employees avoid customers so that they don’t have to help. When you finally do get someone they don’t know and send you to another spot only to be told you need to go somewhere else. Also some cashiers are so rude, I understand work can be stressful/ customers can be difficult but you have customers who are actually kind and just seeking help so the attitudes are unnecessary .If you are truly unhappy with your job please find something that doesn’t make you lose your humanity. That quality matters in every line of work.
I recently need it to return a couple of custom order cabinets I made in store and replace them for different sizes. Sales personnel told me I had to wait until they received some information on their end that I had already received the cabinets, and to come back another day. I ask to speak to a manager because I was not going to come back with the cabinets again. Thank God Raymond one of the store managers assisted me. He originally got the same issue the store employee had told me, but that did not stop him from getting my problem resolved. He made all the necessary phone calls to other store employees who knew how to. He finally was able to return my cabinets and get me a refund so I can place the new order. I just want to say that Raymond needs a raise or a promotion. Aside from helping me out he was multitasking and helping others while on the phone aswell. It looks like he cares about customer service satisfaction.
Went to the blinds department, they had one person working and working on a large order, and then they had 6 customers waiting for help. No one was able to come and help us. It was going to be over a 2-hour wait for help. There was not a manager that could be found when there was a problem.
Generally, I dont have a problem with Lowes. However, during this pandemic they dont seem to have their act together. Theres no obvious way or process to order online and pick-up in a seamless manner. I spend more time online, on the phone, and waiting on line in the store then I would have had I just gone to the store and picked items myself. Not impressed.
This is the worst store ever I was walking around for a hour for somebody to help me to bring down a cabinet. Then I found somebody after 1 hour 1/2. When I go to the front for paying nobody didn’t know how to work with the payment that I’m going to pay. I wait 3 hours and all the cashier was standing there just talking it was a nightmare. This store needs more employee, employee more nicer not so rude. If the have 0 stars ⭐️ I would give them 0 stars.
The worse online order company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a shed two years ago it was in store for over a week with my name on it but they refused to give it to me because they said it was “ready”. While standing next to the customer service desk the email came through that it was now ready. Nothing had changed except now they sent the email. Fast forward two years I have ordered a tool cabinet 3 days ago. First I called and got no answer to see on the status. I live 40 minutes away so I asked someone I knew who lived locally to stop in and ask about it on the second day. He was told we just haven’t pulled it yet but it’s here and it’s his don’t worry. Third day I call the check and am told now there is only one left in stock and if it sells before they pull it then I don’t get the item. They told me I could drive the 40 minutes to purchase the item and cancel my order to guarantee I would get it. I asked if they would hold it for me to drive up to the store and was told no. What a waste of time. Lowe’s is terrible.
I would give them minus ten if I could. I ordered a fence from them in July and was told it would be in by August. Well did not get put in til December. I was lied to and have had to sit home waiting for them twice just to have them not show up. I am at a loss as to how this company stays afloat. I have had to reach out to them numerous times to try and fix the mistakes they have made. I will never shop at Lowe’s again.
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS STORE!!!!This store has the worse customer service I have ever seen. If you call, you will be bounced around and placed on hold. I was left on hold for 40 minutes one day. I ordered a microwave, and it arrived banged up, and the door would not close. It took 3 days to get ahold of ANYONE to help me get a replacement. I was then told I would be helped get the same price as my original order, and it NEVER HAPPENED! I tried to reach a manager and was bounced around and then just left on hold because someone else held the mangers phone. MY OPINION is AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST!!!!!!
Do not shop here. Go to Home Depot, or pretty much anywhere else. We have had numerous issues with orders places through this store including, most recently, a refrigerator that arrived to us badly damaged and had to be refused. Lowes - both at this local store and on the corporate level - has been unresponsive and has demonstrated an extremely low level of regard for customer service, which is disappointing given that we placed an expensive order. At this location, staff do not pick up their phones at the Customer Service department or the delivery department - the phone rings endlessly then hangs up.
This has got to be the worst Lowes in the history of Lowes Home Improvement stores. I attempted to order patio furniture through the website. I was called and informed of a delay and asked to call back to reschedule a new delivery date. I attempted to call upwards of 50 times over the course of three days, only to either be immediately disconnected, or left to ring nonstop without hope of answer. After being fed up, I drove to the store to speak with the delivery manager in person. I was told the patio furniture had not arrived from the distributor, and that she would call and get a status update and call me back that same day. After not receiving a call I attempted to call back, using different departments in an effort to work around the previous phone issues, only to be left again on indefinite ring or immediately disconnected.I cannot understate the complete lack of regard of their customers from top to bottom. I generally enjoyed shopping at Lowes in the past, but this experience has turned me into a Home Depot customer for the rest of my life.
Today oct 9, 2020I was I2 Nd in line which I thought was for online order and Refunds. I asked a simple question if I was in the right line for pickup 4 times at least. and theTall lady which claimed to be the manager as well for the refund/ pickup department rudely responded and ignored my question but instead each time told to wait in line to ask a question. Four times I asked and 4 rude answers. I lost my place in line because they don’t have clear signs. I asked for the manager Rick I was told later and he apologized and took care of me. But do customers have to be aggravated. No wonder Home Depot has more traffic and customers. They don’t pretend to be nicer like Lowe’s but a manager who represents the company more than anyone failed the test.
I really like this location allot better its so far out of the way for people to get to, unless you have a car; so you always have things in stock and it isnt as crowded as places like Home Depot down the block.Secondly, their prices are competitive and allot of the time, more affordable than Home Depot. Overall, a good location to come and driving traffic is almost non-existent every trip I make.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in retail. Not only was every associate rude but I NEVER even received the help I needed nor the supplies I needed. I waited in a department for over 40 minutes waiting for an associate to come cut what I needed to only then receive attitude from another associate because I asked if the product I was looking for was in stock because a previous employee told me it might be sold out. I understand it’s a very stressful time but that whole experience just made me never want to go back to Lowe’s and that was my first time ever going in there. Very dissatisfied.
Terrible experience at this store. Truthfully, think twice before spending your hard earned money here. After spending $7,000 on new appliances and other items, when we were ready for the items to be shipped, Lowe’s could not locate our merchandise. We were forced to do a refund and re-purchase of the items and were told it would be another 6-8 week wait. We were told by a sales rep that management agreed to include a discount on our purchase, only to be told later they ‘do not do those things’. When the items finally arrived the refrigerator was badly damaged and we would need a replacement. Instead of being customer focused, we were told they could not order a replacement until they determined if the item was damaged in their store or by their delivery team. I offered that it is not great customer service to penalize the customer while they work through their internal processes, to no avail. When our replacement was ordered a week later we were told it would be week or two until the item would arrive. Insult to injury, we received an automated call on a Monday morning that the item would be delivered the same day. We arranged the day to accommodate the delivery which never happened. After numerous calls put on hold for 30-40 minutes, they effectively put on a clinic of how not to do business. I’m loathe to spend time online airing grievances, but this story had to be told. As I stated in my opening, save your money and energy and buy your new stuff elsewhere.Sincerely,David S
Typical Lowes. Located in the Ridge Hill shopping center. Has its own parking lot, so you cant really walk to any other stores. No line to get in even though the parking lot was jammed. Theyve restocked somewhat on cleaning supplies. No Lysol or wipes. Garden section is a little bare. Didnt have any plastic Adirondack chairs that the website claimed they had. Decent amount of staff, but it was around 1pm. Different selection of items compared to its competitor down the road.
The best costumer service ever. I order a laminate floor. 3 people should call me back, but no one didnt.I call the costumer service the first time they picked up after 30 min. And told me to please have a minute. After another 30 min. waiting they hang up the phone.I called again and the same repeat again. I order in the past stuff by lowes, but after this experience and unprofessional costumer service i chance my mind and rather buy my stuff by the home depot better service and much better costumer service. This is the worst store.
Would give this store a zero if I could.Made an online order for in store pickup at the Ridge Hill location.I never received my order is ready email.I called and was old my order would be read in half an hour.I arrived an hour later just to be safeI had to wait over 45 minutes from my arrival to get my order which was initially wrong and then incomplete.Three tries and they could not get my order right.I was supposed to be credited for the three extra-large boxes that the inventory system indicated were available but no one could find.I am still waiting for the credit.Perhaps someone would get back to me about this? Nope. Nothing. My order was 28 moving boxes in four sizes; how hard should that be to get right?Apparently impossible at Lowes because four associates were milling around and no one seemed to be to straighten it out. They would periodically leave and come back , hoping I guess that I had given up and left.No one apologized; nothing. Some of the worst customer service I have ever had especially as this was a not a difficult order.I will not be coming back and I will warn my friends and neighbors.Home Depot is messy and chaotic but you are in and out of the store in a few minutes when picking up online orders.
Been on the phone for over 2 hours straight. No end in sight. It goes like this: music, ring tone, person asking what I want, put back on hold, music ring tone, disconnected. Over 8 times. For the last 3 times, I pleaded for them not to transfer me or put me on hold. It didnt matter. I wonder if it was intentionally done.Having ordered a laundry machine online was the beginning of the nightmare. I learned that it wasnt going to be delivered on the day off by aggressively calling them. That itself also took many hours non-stop calling. It was subsequently rescheduled 10 days later. Then, the logistic company reached out to let me know I was missing parts for installation, even though I actually checked with a rep that I had everything when I ordered. Now the saga continues - the never-ending game of trying to reach someone... anyone... anyone who can help... anyone who can save me from the never ending piano music.I was once a fan of Lowes, having positive perception of their customer service... I only wish they could be better again.
Waited hours to get to speak to someone about status an online order that was supposed to be delivered a week ago. I get balanced like a tennis ball from one operator to a phone thats not manned until the call hangs up. I just couldnt get through their phone system to someone who can truly help me. I end up giving up just like they planned it perhaps. Will be visiting the site in person although my hopes are slim. Worst customer experience ever...
We are preparing to do a flooring project, picked up one box of flooring (to see how the color would look in the room before I purchased the other 15 boxes we are going to need) and along with 2 other small items, got to the register the associate scanned the box and nothing came up, looked at is and said you can go back over there and get me the number... I asked if she could call for some help, she looked at me like I was crazy ... I said forget it and left the box. I try to avoid Home Depot so maybe Lumber Liquidators will be more customer centric
1 million times better than the nearby home Depot! What courteous, knowledgeable staff at Lowes! The gentleman that helped me, will be placing a large order for new patio door and screen door, was exceptional, took extra care and time for my interest, answered or questions. Now setting up a Lowes contractor to visit my home to measure and soon to hopefully install. Take it from Jan, Lowes in Yonkers, not home Depot, is the place you should go, and I live in NYC and made the trip to Lowes!
TERRIBLE experience buying an appliance (gas dryer). you may get a cheaper price, but the people in the customer svc are untrained and uncaring. they could careless about you. so spend a little more at a store that knows what theyre doing. you will thank yourself. the problem with lowes is that they could only pay dirt cheap wage. the people there suffer high turnovers with minimal training. the result is that the consumers problems are never taken care of, and everyone is mad as hell. not worth it in my experience. never buy a gas dryer (oh yeah, you must have a gas line with valve shut-off in place, behind the gas dryer, not some random place in your home; lesson learned).
Very bad experience. They delayed my delivery for more than 3 weeks. I havent still gotten my delivery up till this moment. They never pick their calls . They never call me.The new Jersey Branch seems to be better option. I nought dryer from them. Yonkers manager should be changed if he cannot improve the service.I am still waiting for the washing machine i ordered since last three weeks or so. Please you guys should refund me my money if you cant deliver. ThanksVery very poor service.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. We had a delivery scheduled for today for a refrigerator. The deliver guy came in with a horrible attitude from the start. We paid the extra service fee to have our old refrigerator removed and he clearly was not happy about having to do his job. During a pandemic we did not want to argue or even have people in our home. He started to remove the doors to our fridge and ended up leaving the fridge not built and cut the wires to our fridge. He did not take the fridge and left without notice. He also did not install our new fridge, but took it with him. I spent hours calling the store and nobody could help me. I went to the store personally and apparently they one had one manager, Carol, who seemed to not have much knowledge about anything. I waited two hours for her to just come speak to me. Then when she came down, she just made calls but still no answers. She took other customers who were there after me. Nobody in this establishment knew what to do or where they were even standing. Lots of employees and customers did not even have a mask on. I tried to explain that we needed a fridge today because we have a 7 month old baby and now her milk is spoiled. All of our food is spoiled. But of course, that’s not their problem. EVEN THOUGH THEIR DELIVERY DRIVER CUT OUR WIRES AND LEFT US WITHOUT ANYTHING. At the end of the day, we have no fridge still because their deliver guy cut the wires to our old fridge and our new one was taken and won’t be delivered until the next morning. Horrible customer service, horrible delivery service (rude and disrespectful), everything is just horrible.
There are a lot of workers yet no one can help because its not there department. Its obvious the employees are unhappy. Terrible customer service. When returning an air conditioner the employee couldnt be bothered going to get more change and offered to give me 4 dollars less then what I paid for. Honestly a joke.
Lowes never fails to show their incompetence and lack of respect for customers.Ordered a fridge from this store based on their website explicitly stating it was in stock. Day before scheduled delivery they email me a delivery change, bouncing it to a Jersey store delivering a week later. Day before that delivery date they bounce delivery to Jan 1 (seriously!).I call in on Dec 18 and explicitly told that the store received my fridge, and I should receive a reschedule notice. Dec 21 I call again, person connects me to store which tells they havent receive the fridge yet and basically blame me with all appliances are on back order. So once again I had a Lowes employee downright lie to me, and I am basically being blamed for their dishonest advertisement.Whatever you do, buy from ANYONE BUT LOWES!
Love how organized it is. Wouldve loved to give it 5 stars because its a thousand times better than home depot but it was difficult for me to get some help with what I was looking for. I finally found it myself after wandering the store for about 45min. The employees were all very polite and friendly and ended up giving me a small discount on a plant I bought. That was very much appreciated as the plant didnt look like it was doing too well.
I like Lowes, but this one is severely understaffed. You cant get mad at the workers.....since you cant find them. Even self checkout is poorly run. 4 machines with 3 customers waiting for assistance and the Lowes employee checking someone out with 20 items! Im trying to GIVE YOU MONEY and I have to wait ?
Went to buy some plants for the house but they had no variety of flowers. It was a repeat of the same flowers. I loved the prices but would suggest them getting other types of plants. The plants were also dried up and you could tell they werent being cared for. I got a few for 3.49 and now they are growing so much.
Don’t buy in this store, they have the WORST service ever, they do not comply with what they offer. I bought a vanity and was supposed to receive it in an specific day and after 3 days I’m still waiting, I call but no one gives an answer regarding the vanity and also they don’t even give the option to pickup in the store because aren’t able to track the package!!
Absolute worst, my senior citizen parents purchased carpet from this location on September 15th and it has been a nightmare for them. The past 2 months we have went back and forth with Rocco and the sales Manager David with no help and a ton of run around. Let me start by talking about how many times they scheduled a install and not shown up. Holding my parents captive at home not able to complete their everyday routine. This happened about 3 times where they had a date picked and NO CALL NO SHOW. 3 TIMES!Once they finally decided to show up they installed the they left the master bedroom undone. They claimed they ran out of carpet. (The carpet we have paid for in advance). For the last month we have been getting kicked around with excuses and no accountability. I spoke to David myself and he claimed he is taking care of it. (3 weeks ago). Clearly no one is. Still no carpet install. I called store multiple times asking for regional manager only to keep getting transfered to the same guys who cant get me any results. I asked them to keep me in touch and to no longer deal with my parents as they are too old for this. No word was kept.If I can give a negative star review I would. For the price paid here you would expect alot better from a reputable company like lowes. Will continue to update on this matter.11/22/2020:Here is my update its been weeks of calling and still no results or solutions. Everytime I talk to customer service I get transfered like 5 times and I never get to speak to a manager, Everytime I get promised to have them call me next day and has yet to happen. Managers and customer service are aware of my situation and refuse to address this with me. It has been past 3 months now since we ordered our carpet. 3 months!
We were there on Sunday for 3 hours ordering a laminated wood floor and after all that time the employer that took the order managed to mess it all up..we called and spoke to 3 different managers and they all said at different times they would take care of it and call us back..not one of them called us back !! I called back and was told my delivery was scheduled for today ,but when I called the store none of the managers had fixed it to be delivered !! We went back to the store and were ready to return all ..over 7k worth ..than we had the pleasure to meet Kevin ( head cashier ) I wish that man was the store manager instead of all the rest that did absolutely nothing , he went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of !! I hope Lowes will give Kevin ( head cashier ) the promotion he so deserves !! In over 1 hours while we were waiting he helped over 20 costumers and his knowledge of everything in the store is outstanding !! Thank U Kevin ( head cashier) so very much !! I will give 5 stars to this review just because of U !!
Been going here since they have first opened. I would never go back to home Depot after my experience here. 95 percent of the items are organized even the screws!! Was short by one screw, went to home Depot and couldnt find it since all the screws were mixed together or the bags were pilfered. Employees are super nice and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and tidy.
Very bad service and they can’t compete with Homedepot. I purchased over 200 Trex for my backyard and I ended by having 42 extra for my backyard deck then the COVID-19 hit us and I was hospitalized and I couldn’t make it to the store within the 90 days return policy. I rented a truck and loaded with the 16 ft trex for me to be told at the store sorry we can’t take them back. I spoke to a manager Dave and he couldn’t help neither I offered to get only 50% but they said no way. I paid off my Lowe’s credit card and closed the account and will never shop there ever again
The customer service at this location is ABOMINABLE!!!! Most of the employees in the departments and in customer service do NOT want to HELP their customers--I waited in the plumbing department for 40 minutes and received no help after asking multiple employees. One associate was helpful but not knowledgeable about the category, and the person who was knowledgeable (Vashawn) was VERY rude and did not want to help or refer me to someone who could. I will not be coming back to this location as they do not value their customers or their time.
Worst experience purchasing an appliance ever. Serguey was uninterested in making the sale, the phones where ringing off the hook. Tarauna, the only manager that cared, and salvaged the sale. Then when a problem occurred in my installation because the salesperson not informing me I needed new hoses for the free installation, my husband rejects ted the order because delivery would not remove old appliance. So I called back to Tarauna, I was placed on hold for Serguey. Left me on hold for a long while. I eventually hung up and never received a call back. I called back days later and got a hold of Derek another manager, he said he would call back in an hour to check inventory to process return. Never received a call back. I called about 30 times within a week to get my refund, and I STILL haven’t gotten a call back or can get through to someone when I call. No one EVER picks up the phone; if you call other departments and ask to be transferred, they put you on hold for 20-30 minutes and then hang up on you.Do NOT SHOP HERE! Waste of time and money in cab fare- head ache after head ache, and no customer service to fix issues. They just don’t care about your business. You CANNOT even get your money back when you have received NOTHING
Purchased a Samsung gas stove- Love it!! Delivery company came could not remove gas line from old stove. They had to send someone else. They also couldn’t remove the gas line. I had to hire a plumber to do it which cost me $$$. They left my old stove in the middle of my kitchen for 4 days!!! Called multiple times- on hold forever. Managers at store no absolutely nothing!! I asked for a refund for the installation since they couldn’t do it. They refused. Meanwhile.... stove still in the middle of my kitchen!!! Delivery company still has not come. Never again will I buy from them!!!!
Typically its not very busy. Its very hard to find a store rep to assist you. There is always a long line for customer service and often for paint. When you do find someone to help you, they arent very friendly. But overall the store is clean and there is a very large parking lot.
A great experience visiting the store today.. a member of staff went above and beyond to help us out with lots of advice and product knowledge. He was patient and had time for over 4 people just while we were there. He deserves employee of the month if lowes does that. Shame that when it comes to paying it gets a bit slow.
Ive only been to this location once and it was 20 min before closing. I had a small emergency with an elderly shut-in(fix broken lock after first responders had to break open door). Plenty of product but unfortunately no one knew where anything was at. Also had keys made from kiosk machine that didnt work. All in all, a very unproductive trip.
Unfortunately I cant given zero stars, which skews the overall rating.Last week, I was told my flooring, wall tiles, and mirror was ready for store pickup. I went into the store 2 days later to pick it up. No one at customer service seemed to understand how to process the pick up. Additionally, the rep skipped me in line to help her friend; her friend was the one who said I was waiting the longest. I was there for an hour and a half while I waited for them to find my items and also give them to me. I even tried getting in touch with the store manager and they tried passing off an Associate as the Manager. The following week, I came to pick up several more items (confirmed via email they were ready at customer service) and no one at the store could find my items. I purposely got up early to come into the store before it was crowded. Again, when I asked for help, they walked away from me without acknowledging the frustrating situation. No one wants to acknowledge the lines or help customers. I am still here 2 1/4 hours later with no end in sight. So far, Ive seen lines of 10+ people long, self-grooming at customer service, customers telling my husband and I in the parking lot that they feel bad for us. At 22 weeks pregnant, I made myself comfortable in the store display lounge furniture. I might be sleeping here tonight waiting for my last pickup.UPDATE: I ended up wasting 3 hours of my life waiting to resolve the issues.Eventually, I was offered a 10% discount on 15 tiles for my wait. For comparison, my pick up order is $2,000. I pretty much laughed as a response.I was really excited for a Lowes in this area as Home Depots prices and selection arent as good. At this point, Id rather die at Home Depot then step foot in this Yonkers location.
The Lowes iPhone app is totally useless for this store. The items are never where theyre supposed to be. In fact the locations of some items as indicated by the app shelve totally different merchandise. Thats the main reason I always go to the nearby Home Depot first because in this Lowes I cant find jack sh*t.
Incompetent is what everyone at this store is, including the senior management (Bruce and David). Save the time and aggravation with this location, go to Home Depot. Biggest mistake walking into this place and purchasing an appliance, scheduled the delivery for 4/23/18 after purchasing on 4/18/18. Didn’t get the 24 hour call notice so had to take the day off work (loss of pay), was on phone for over 4 hours to find out what the hell was going on. Had to call corporate office as I was being put on hold or, just simple, they don’t work up there! Eventually David calls and assures me that I’ll get my delivery the next day, which I did, had to wait until 10am ( thank god I have an understanding boss). Delivery guys unloaded my new refrigerator and then said that they don’t have room to take away my old one, which I paid for recycling fee, meantime they just unloaded the new one but didn’t have room for the old one! Couldn’t argue with them as they couldn’t speak any English! I called the 800 number, no point calling the Yonkers number, they just don’t answer, so eventually a couple of hours later making a complaint with the 800 number, Bruce calls me back, explained to him that my old refrigerator is outside my house, delivery guys wouldn’t take it, and he assured me it would be picked up by 4/27/18. Long story short, paid an extra $100 to get a guy come pick it up on 5/3/18. Plus I spoke with Bruce prior, stated that he will have the guys come back to pick it up, that was over a week, will be calling into the store any day now, and demand to get my money I lost because of them, back charging them for the day I lost, as well as the tow away fee. Have filed a complaint with the NYS Better business Bureau department. I would be embarrassed if I ran a business like this. Shame on you Lowe’s ☹️
I had one of the best turn around experiences with a manager named Greg Henry, he was so helpful in my search and long project list for my home. This location is always organized as best they can be during the rush hours, and most everyone is willing to help. I am glad he is there to help when we’ve needed him.
The worse customer service ever anywhere in the world! Delivery service stinks. Items that should have been delivered 5 days ago still not here. Delivery department never answers. Takes over an hour to get someone on the phone in a different department and then ask to be transferred to the Manager who is never in. Still have no word about when my items will be delivered. Not even a phone call. This store sucks!
The store is very clean, as one might expect of a clean store. Like most big box stores I have patronized, it took a few minutes to find an employee to assist. When I did, he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.Parking is plentiful and free, unlike the rest of Ridge Hill.
Nice, but small. They just opened, so theyre still getting a little organized. But it doesnt feel like a Lowes, which I consider to be a notch above Home Depot. Instead I felt like I was in a small Home Depot. There was nothing unique about their selection. What they had I could find anywhere else. I dont mean to complain, theres nothing wrong with the place. But theres nothing remarkable about it either.
This location only gets Three Stars because of the employees. What I am looking for is usually in stock and easy to find, thanks to the website giving aisle and bay locations.Thats good because about 80% of the employees give the impression that they wished to be anywhere else than at work.Parking is easy, prices are decent, but the employees need to be better trained and motivated.
Glad parking was free at least. Was walking around for a while clearly lost, looking for plexiglass, not one employee offered me any help. When I found an employee to help me, he took me to an almost completely empty shelf and said that was all they had. Made no suggestion for an alternative, didnt even ask what I needed it for to offer suggestions. Basically a big waste of my time.
Very clean and organized store. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable and eager to help in anyway they can. The store can get a little confusing navigating it but not bad especially when the isles are listed online for specific items youre looking for. Check out was a little long but staff was very kind and apologetic. Overall great experience, preferred hardware store to visit thus far. I do wish they carried other brands of tools that I am fond of but overall great selection.
Yonkers lowes in new york is answering and hanging up the calls. This is unacceptable i wanted to check an order status and i keep getting hung up on. Totally messed up i work in customer service and i understand the complications of being busy and i didnt even get an assurance that i was being attended to or helped. This is messed up that i have to go now personally to figure out what is going on. I have to personally now go and check weither nor not i am gettinf my order that i had already paid for!!!!!!!
Was able to get everything I needed from the ridge hill location. However, the customer service was terrible, the place was pretty much a ghost town whenever you needed any help in a department. Paint, everyone on break. Flooring, not a worker in sight, took several times to actually get someone to help. Either the store needs a better manager or the employees need to not take a break all at the same time. Very unprofessional to not have at least one worker in the paint department
This was my second time there in as many days. I was very excited to have a Lowes opening up because I used to have to go all the way up to Orangeburg because I like it so much better than Home Depot. Both times I went to Lowes I ended up having to go to Home Depot to get the things that I wanted. The new staff there really knew nothing about where things were located in the store. Im sure it will get better and I will visit it again but not for a while theyve got some Growing Pains.
Very Convenient for me to get to, but ,more often than not, I end up going to Lowes in Yorktown, Orangeburg, or Nanuet, because, the Yonkers store is poorly staffed, poorly stocked, and I would imagine, poorly managed. So, my take on this location is, only go if you know exactly what you want and require no expert help or guidance.
Customer service is not the greatest, one of the staff members truly didnt seem to want to help saying she cant help us because its not her department but WE all know that is a lie, if your staff members dont know how to help they should acknowledge it and not walk away and try to send you to a different department when they NOT answering the phone of there own employees so how can I get help. Its not to later after the staff members just walking back and forth touching pieces of papers doing nothing, not till a manger came over and handle and did exactly what you needed help with it and itd clear as day the staff members did not know what they was doing and was not even trying to learn and watch the manger did to help herself out in the near future so this doesnt happen again
Absolutely the worst customer service of any store Ive ever used. I tried to order, and paid up front for, granite countertops for my kitchen. I never heard from the installers, I was put on hold for 5 to 20 minutes each time I tried to contact the store, got no satisfaction at all from the main customer service department in Albuquerque (?) and I am going to cancel my entire order today and never deal with Lowes again. They are the most exasperating people Ive ever dealt with. Save you time and money and shop elsewhere. I would also give them zero stars if I could.
This Loews is fairly new but very unorganized. It’s close to my house so I have been going to it for the past six months. And so far my experiences have been horrible:- no matter what time I go they only have self check out open. And there is always at least 2 of the 4 out of service- had to wait over an hour to return an item while 4-6 other employees were just standing around.- will never ask any of the employees basic questions (what aisle something is in?) because I never get correct answers- someone “moved” an item I was returning into the back when I was in line to return it. Took 3 hours to have management check cameras and find the item. Originally told it was my fault and none of the cameras point in the that direction. Which was literally by the exit.I wish that it was better staffed because of the proximity and hours it’s open. But, it seems it was thrown together with staff that are not being trained or are not being screened.
Far superior to the Home Depot in Yonkers as far as shopping experience goes. Not the most extensive Lowes (limited offerings)... but the staff is great and the store is very clean and organized. If you cant get what you need at a local hardware/paint store I advise you try this store before Home Depot.
I like the fact that every time i go is not too crowded, it is definitely not my 1st choice (thatll be home depot) but if you are looking for something quick and are almost 100%sure that youll find it there then i recommend it, other than that, they definitely dont have a huge selection like home depot. As far as service goes, both places are ok, not great.
Went to this Lowe’s to pick up some edging as it showed me online that they had stock. But when I got there and checked the shelves were empty! I showed the attendant my phone and told him to check if they had stock elsewhere, I was rudely told there was no stock and to check elsewhere! Few days later I go online and place an order for the same edging at this location, hoping they would locate the stock it still showed was there! My order is still not ready though, and when I call, they say they do not know when order would be ready! I called again multiple times, just so I could check if they actually had stock of the edging so I could just pick up, but I was placed on hold for 15-30 mins every time!
Lowes on the Ridge Hill site is possibly one of the best Home Improvements stores Ive experienced in a long time. Always found a great selection of products, which seem to be competitive in price compared to cuncurrents in the market. Shelves and floors overall always well taken care of, friendly and available staff help customers till their needs are met. Ive reached this location for all sorts of household needs and Ive appreciated the variety of products offered. Ive tried their paints and even cheaper kinds have proved to be of good quality. Clearly most major brands can be find and I noticed prices are slightly cheaper compared to other stores. The Garden was also nice to walk through.
Purchased $1,500 worth of vinyl interlocking flooring and figured we would go through Lowes installation center. BIG MISTAKE. Installer visited apartment and measured on Tuesday, said we should expect a call with our quote by Friday. After 6-10 calls over the past 2 days and Lowes mentioning they would not have a quote, provided one. But not without stating our hardwood flooring would have to be ripped up. It would have been nice to know this TUESDAY when the installer visited the site, not 3 days after, putting us further behind schedule. What im most displeased with is the level of service, or lack thereof at the store location. Flooring department rings 3 times and disconnects unless you call their Command Center and request they call internally. Awaited 5 callbacks from their representatives and these never occurred. Then asked me to wait until Monday for the installer to get back to us. Needless to say, we are returning the material, and headed to Home Depot as fast as possible. Thanks for the terrible customer experience Lowes, we will not be back.
This was going to be a general post about Lowe’s but Yonkers added to it. Just another store in Yonkers hiring people that need a job oppose to people who take working seriously regardless of the pay rate. Where is the good old fashion hard worker anymore? I’m a business owner, so when I go somewhere my time is limited. I ordered lights online, for my salon that is opening and it’s not only been over 18 days, but I have gotten no email regarding my order status. When I was curious about my order I went into store 14 days later, I went to customer service and stood there and watched 5/6 people huddled around 1 desk trying to figure something out, not one of them thought let me go assist this lady or at least acknowledge her? “Customer services” no one ever helped me, I had to take it upon myself 10 minutes later to say “HELLO! I’ve been standing here for 10 minutes and nobody has even said hi hold on one second? And they looked at me like how dare I interrupt them? To come find out my order hasn’t arrived yet and I was told I would be called by the store and get an email, now another 5 days later I call customer service because Yonkers doesn’t answer their phones. The gentleman on the phone was eager to help but also informed me my package was delivered? But I haven’t been called nor emailed. Not professional. Personally, I’ll stick to Home Depot and my mom and pop hardware stores. This was a horrible experience.
My name is Rafael Rodriguez II, I purchased a LG Dishwasher on-line but decided to pick up. The store was very busy an employee I believe her name was Nakita not sure if I spelled her name right but she was excellent and very helpful. She brought out my dishwasher quickly and to my surprise when I was loading item in my Jeep she even came out to help me. Now that’s what you call 5 Star service!
Like the store, the employees who helped us was very helpful, but when it came to checking out was a lil nightmare. They had 1 register opened and working, and 2 self service registers working and no direction to which line was which. They do have spaces to stand for social distances but everything blended together which put social distancing out the door.
The location has a lot to improve upon. Many of the workers are inexperienced, and worse, not interested in becoming experienced. It will take hours to purchase an item because of staff incompetence. I want to especially shout out manager Musa who was rude, condescending, and invented a higher price on an item than what I was given the day before. This location will certainly lose business keeping him in any position involving communication with customers. Happy to give neighboring Home Depot my money.
0 STARS SHOULD BE A OPTIONImagine starting off a home improvement project with the intention of going to the professionals to get it done EFFICIENTLY... and what you get instead is an extreme lack of Professionalism and Customer Service. How do you explain this?Forgetting to place my order .. (but ofcourse you dont forget to charge us) which delayed the process to begin with. After forgetting to place it correctly, you tell me that it can be picked up. Turns out, it in fact CAN NOT be picked up. So trying to still be optimistic on our timeline... we say lets just go with shipping. We were told next day shipping ... RIGHT ... 4 days! No call courtesy call, no email to notify us. We tried reaching out NUMEROUS times (6 MORE DAYS)... no answer. It took for someone to show up to the store front to even get some kind of explanation.Vincent now tells us that its going to be delivered the next day. We get the delivery but NOT THE COMPLETE ORDER. Again ... called again and again. We go to the store to pick up the two MISSING pieces.. GUESS WHAT? Pieces aren’t even there. How do you misplace two 17 foot borders??? ..So on top of having to order again (UNFORTUNATELY)... you would think all delivery fees would have been waived. NOPE.STILL UNTIL THIS DAY .... waiting for two border pieces to be shipped. We were told we have to wait until SEPTEMBER (END OF SUMMER) thats IF they get the order right to begin with. This experience is from the Lowe’s in Ridgehill, Yonkers. I have made numerous attempts to check status of the order to avoid any further discrepancies... and still NO ANSWER. The backyard is a mess, can’t even enjoy the space because the project was already started. The construction in the back is a complete safety hazard! This deck should have been finished before all our Summer Plans ... like our Nephews Birthday Party.Moral of the story JUST GO TO HOME DEPOT.
2 bad experiences in a row! Bought a table that had all the screws missing. Then bought a grill online so we could pick it up quickly. Get there to pick it up and there are 6 people behind the counter at customer service ignoring customers, with a long line! Left after 2 incompetent people could not get the order together after waiting in line for 15 minutes! Do not go to this store, they are incompetent and terrible customer service!
Honestly if i could give negative stars I would. If you plan on having any installation work do not for the love of god use Lowes!!! LOWES BLOWS!!!! Their delivery service XPO will deliver you nothing but headaches and pains that will haunt you for the rest of your days!!!

2022-05-13The gardening section needs a complete re-haul. Who is hired to maintain it? All the plants are near death from dehydration. Plants are living things too, this place is a plant morgue.

2022-05-31I need new exterior doors. I set up an appointment with Lowes for door purchase and installation. The person they sent was very nice and took all the measurements, explained different options, etc. That was over a month ago. I tried contacting the store, the person who came out to measure to no avail. I was ghosted by Lowes. I never got a quote for the new doors, never even spoke to someone. Oh well. I guess its better to know now before there was any money involved. Customer service is a joke, a bad one at that. Save your time and avoid this place at all costs!

2022-05-30The people that work at this location are awesome but some of the people who shop there, suck. I went online looking for a sanding machine which showed that Lowes had three in stock. I drove all the way across County only to find that when I went to Lowes there was an open box with the sander I wanted in it and had sawdust all over it. The two other Sanders that was supposedly in stock were missing and presumably stolen. Whats wrong with people????!

2021-11-25I visited this Lowes in search of some kitchen cabinets. I remember when the store first opened you had no trouble getting help from a store associate. All you had to do was look puzzled or confused. This was not the case during my visit to the store. The countertops were not properly signed with pricing or size information. It was all but a wasted trip.

2022-02-18Paid for an extended warranty on a product, they sent out a repair technician months ago who wouldn’t solve the problem. Lowes customer service and parts department have no answers for me when I call. They will not give me a refund on an extended warranty that I paid for even though it is useless. This is not the first time I had an issue with a warranty for a major appliance with Lowes in Yonkers. I would suggest going somewhere else if you are looking for professionalism and reliability.
