I have been using Lowitt Alarms for several years. Their service is outstanding and response to any service calls is very quick. The fact that they own their own Central Station Monitoring Center (Metrodial), is another reason to use Lowitt Alarms for all of your security needs.
I’ve been a customer for many years and have been extremely happy with their service and couldn’t ask for a better company.

I am very glad to have switched to Lowitt Alarms to protect my home. There priority is customer service and it is a pleasure to deal with them. They have knowledgeable and friendly support staff that want to make sure your system is working at all times.I recently had a Shawn, a technician come to my house to check an minor issue and he was very personable, extremely well trained and knew exactly how to correct the problem.Lowitt should be your first choice when choosing an alarm company to protect your home.
First Ill start with the good of this company - the field staff is FANTASTIC. They are friendly, pleasant and hard working. They dont milk the clock and they always tell you the truth about situations.Now for the bad part, the contracts are overpriced and VERY long term. When equipment they required to have installed breaks, they then charge either a ridiculous fee for a new one... or offer to extend a contract to lock you in to their service even longer. Equipment is drastically overpriced, and the office team doesnt seem to care at all about their customers. Not only do they not care, but they often disseminate incorrect information and blame customers for breaking items that couldnt have possibly been anything other that a component failure (even their field team confirmed that one).After having been with this company personally for 8 years, and having friends and family using them now for over 2 decades, I will be changing services. When I advised of this they explained the hoops I had to jump through and the ridiculous cost of cancellation. This was once a friendly company that charged a fair rate, but as the market has changed they have only become less concerned with the happiness of their customers.I would suggest staying away from this company if you can.
Big thumbs DOWN to Lowitt Alarms in Hicksville. I switched to them a year and a half ago after a company I was with ( Meenan) stopped selling alarms. At the time we were undecided if we were going to be moving. The sales rep stated it would not be an issue to move the system to a new house and we wouldn’t be charged for a new system. After shopping around we got a great price and they also offered a few months free in exchange for good social media reviews( how ironic that I’m writing this post now). Fast forward to a year and a half later. We ended up moving and before the move occurred I called to reconfirm everything we originally spoke about. I was told to take all of the equipment and they will send a someone out to install at the new house and will only charge labor. $99/ hr..the original system only took 2-3 hours to install and had no prior alarm in it. The sales Rep called to make an appointment which I found off since we already had all the equipment, in fact our old house required more equipment then this house. Since then I’ve been back and forth with the manager there with them trying to explain to me why they want to charge me three times the original price I paid to install equipment that I already have. Their only explanation is they didn’t make their money back on their first installation and I got a really good deal including a few months free. What?? What company says that to a customer? Why am I being penalized for your sales rep giving me a good price a year and a half ago and the misinformation I was told back then when I was moving. I have no problem paying for the labor but they are clearly trying to take advantage during a tough time. There are all kinds of administrative charges tacked on and it’s just ridiculous. I’m extremely disappointed. I refuse to pay 3 times what I paid already for them to reinstall my system. I told them to just cancel then and take back their equipment. She then tells me it will be $1300 to cancel. Ridiculous! If you are looking for an alarm system save the trouble and go with Bannon or ADT.
We are very happy with Lowitt Alarm company. They came and assessed our home, worked with our existing hardware and helped us get the best price and the most appropriate system for our home. We will be recommending Lowitt to our friends and neighbors!

Do not use this alarm company, if you sell your home they try to charge you for the balance of an unused contract. In our case about $4,000 dollars. I am awaiting a call from Andy Lowitt. Unfortunately we had brought on 7 other family and friends into using the company. They are all now in the process of cancelling. There are so many better options out there.
Very professional. The Lowitt Alarms team did a great job on their installation. The sales team followed up to make sure everything was satisfactory.
If you’re looking for an alarm system or for service, Lowitt should definitely be on your to do list. Been with them for d3cades and very pleased.
Just had a new system installed...completely professional from start to finish. Salesman was knowledgeable and not at all pushy...didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. Installers were amazing - right on time, clean, thorough. Highly recommend them!
After a 30 hour power outage about 3 weeks ago, we had problems replacing the old battery with a new one. A problem with the receptors I believe. We were leaving the country in 30 hours and wanted our alarm system on. Called to make a appointment and at first was advised it will be a couple of days. After speaking to Aliie and then Carl in the office, they were able to send alarm tech Victor to our home early the next day. Victor has been to our residence several times and could not have been any nicer or professional. Long story, our problem was solved. We have been extremely satisfied with Lowitt Alarms for over 25 years and also recommend them to a neighbor.

I have to share my experience with the company they have done the same to us. They have tried to collect 2,500 dollars from us when we moved out of state. These people dont get it. Its like the old time cable contracts that wanted to charge penalties for every thing

2022-01-08Weve been with Lowitt for over 25 years. Theyve always been prompt, attentive, knowledgeable, and cost effective. We had a Father and Son Alarm Company servicing our home when we first bought our house. Lowitt bought out that Company and weve been with them ever since.When we remodeled our house, Lowitt upgraded and installed all new equipment at a very reasonable cost. This was done in 2006.We highly recommend Lowitt for all of your Alarm and Security needs.P.S.,Their Monitoring Service is top notch!

2022-08-10Lowitt installed our alarm system 36 years ago and since then we have been using them. They are very reliable and prompt. Most recently we had a recurring problem with one of the zones. Their technician found the source in no time and corrected it. I would give them a rating of 5 out of 5.KM Plainview NY

2022-07-12Beware Lowitt Alarms! Their company is a scam…we took over a contract from the previous owners of our house to save them a “fee” …turns out, because we moved out of state…they are making us pay over 800 dollars to cancel our service…unless the new homeowners take over!!! They offered to take off 25 percent (172 dollars 🙄) and then when I said I wasnt happy, they started threatening me with more fees and told me they dont have to even give me a discount and if I dont pay I will have more fees in collections!!! Totally gross company and they only care about money!! Stay away!!!

2022-01-03Ive been using Lowitt Alarms for over 10 years. They upgraded my system when I moved into my home and they have always been reliable and courteous. I have the same technician who comes to my home this entire time and he feels like family. Theyve been so fantastic Ive recommended them to my family and friends and I highly recommend them to you.

2022-01-16Haver been with Lowitt for close to 10 years. Monitoring service always on top of its game when alarm may be tripped. They are polite and efficient if police need to be dispatched. Service from technicians to diagnose problems and/or replace parts is very thorough.
