I have ordered from lucky fortune for 25 yrs when lisa n simon owned it...i ordered tonight and a waste of $19.00, the fried dumplings were all dough no pork not crisp at all,ordered fantail shrimp withch were exactly the same all bread when you finally got through it the shrimp was good .the egg tolls were ok,but. Will never order from here again..
Good Chinese food. It used to be better a few years ago. Food is still good though. They do not cheat you on the noodles and duck sauce. The second your bowl is halfway they bring out more. The boneless spare ribs are very good.
I JUST ordered food from this place and as long as Ive been coming here I WILL NEVER come back. Their communication and professionalism is disgusting. I called the store and placed a order and paid over the phone and when the delivery driver arrived he was extremely rude. He ushered us to pay with an open hand and he insisted we didnt pay. I called the store to figure it out and he was super impatient while trying to figure it out. He wasnt communicative or helpful when it came to disputing the order. Worst service ever. I do feel terrible about having to call the store and take out my frustrations on the manager but I was beyond upset after the exchange with their driver. Never again!
Ordered online a wide variety of food and found the food ok, nothing very good. Delivery pretty timely. The worst of this business is their online menu is not current, so when it showed up it all of a sudden cost 10% more than my email confirmation, and the order not correct. terrible business practice BEWARE all they would say is so sorry!
Great place, great service, great food, has a parking lot. Nice, classy restaurant is usually empty because most of their business is take out, which makes me like it even more. I hate to praise it, because I dont want it to get crowded. When I am up in the air about lunch, we all agree on this place.

I get to eat here a lot since I work in the area. I like how their service is always good and they keep the spot neat constantly. Prices are convenient and they serve big portions.
So dissapointed, egg rolls didnt taste like they usually do.. chow fein noodles greasy, rice was so dry lIke it was re fried from someones left overs.. forgot to put my pineapple in my bag. Very rude, not friendly... I wont order anymore!
Delicious dinner and great service. Also had takeout a few times that was very tasty, my favorite restaurant in Great Kills/Eltingville area.
My family loves their food. We’ve been going there since before I was every born. It’s been over 20 years since the first time my family went to lucky fortune. We are close with some of the workers there too. The staff is great.

I recently ordered food from there and my meat was half raw another time I ordered I couldnt even chew the beef it was like chewing on leather. When I called them and complained they didnt even offer to make it right . When I told my brother in law what happened he said the same thing happened to him and he refuses to order from there anymore. Besides the food being horrible they are over priced.

Really great vibe and the portions are enough for two meals. Fried noodles with duck sauce before the meal. Chocolate fortune cookies and pineapple after.

2019-07-05I live on the other side of the Island but while at work decided to order Chinese food. Seen this place is only a couple minutes away. So I ordered. First they charged me more for my lunch combos then whats on the menu. Then when I gave the man the money for the order he caught and attitude because Im didnt give a tip that he likes. Gonna say he wont come to my job again because he not getting a tip. Yet was it ok to charge me more for my meal? I think not.... And the food isnt even good. I should of waited until I got off work to eat.

2021-08-04Food is always ‘ok’, my biggest issue is that the delivery driver did not follow delivery instructions and covid safety twice. i ordered myself dinner and a few hours later my brother. i placed the order on grubhub and chose no contact delivery, and in the notes asked the driver to not ring the bell and leave the bag on my porch. Both times the driver arrived, rang the bell multiple times and did not leave the food on the porch but proceeded to hand it to me twice.

2020-08-19My new favorite place! I have not found many good Chinese restaurants in my delivery area & the one I order from is ok, but always has at least an hour wait! Today my food from Lucky Fortune literally came in 13 minutes! I have never EVER received a food delivery that fast!So far, so good! I’ve eaten from here 3x in the last week and a half! It comes hot & delicious! Reminds me of Chinese food when I was a kid in Brooklyn!

2019-10-02Ordered from this place for a small party I was hosting. First off the portions were small, I called them upon realizing and there large is in the round smaller container. They stated its the same size which they are totally not. They did send over another portion to compensate, which means they knew they tried taking me for a ride. Dumplings (shrimp and pork) were so doughy and empty with barely any filling. Food had no taste what so ever. Opened an order of Shrimp and broccoli and the smell from the rotten shrimp was unbearable. I couldve and shouldve complained but decided to throw it out and never order from here again. This is an honest review. I had no pun with this place prior to ordering because this is the first time I ordered from here. Lucky Fortune management, If you see this review you really need to have some quality control in your kitchen. GOOD LUCK!

2018-08-18Owner seems too rigid, no customer service interaction skills but food is very good. Second time ordering from them and spring rolls not greasy this time. Egg roll crispy and delish. The sesame chicken, yummy. Strictly a take out joint, zero ambience.

2019-04-06I use to live in Great kills and would order from Lucky Fortune all the time. Especially their Sushi. It was to die for. I loved it so much. I moved to PA and missed it so much. Finally after years I went back. Ordered $100 worth of food. A ton of different sushi rolls and my mother and sister ordered soup, rice and garlic chicken and pepper steak. All of their food was completely bland. My sushi rolls were disgusting. The 🍣 was not only bland but, falling apart and to top it off (I didnt notice this my sister showed me after we ordered) the front of the menu said something about being under renovation and how they were trying new things). Whatever they are trying isnt working. The food there has ALWAYS been a bit on the expensive side but, the food was worth it. It is definitely worth it now. The $100 I spent would have been worth it anywhere else but here.

2019-08-26I used to live in great kills and Lucky Fortune was my favorite spot especially for sushi and the mini eggrolls. Finally was back in New York and had time just sit down and enjoy a meal. the food has gone down drastically not one person in my party enjoyed their Chinese food or their sushi and it was extremely overpriced for what we got highly disappointed will never go back there should have went to fresh tortilla for Mexican food instead of Lucky Fortune for Asian
