There was a swollen fly in my soup. Dont recommendI feel like Im doing an injustice by not posting this. So yes. There was a fly in my soup. It was swollen up so I guess it was in there for a while. These restaurants need to be more sanitary. And its halal for goodness sake. Like be better. We out here trusting you with the food. There was a fly in the soup!!!!!!!!
I personally visit this place almost daily. I will walk about twenty minutes or drive just to have one of their drinks. Great staffing personnel, they welcome you and even suggest flavors in case you’re willing to try something new ( I am not an expert on bubble teas I only get stranded flavor) one of the guys suggested the brown sugar and I loved it 🙏! Great calm place also to sit down and enjoy a good evening.
Ridiculously overpriced for ridiculously mediocre food. Also, was denied indoor dining because they need to see proof of vaccination. This is the only place in New York that doesn’t believe in verbal confirmation. Thank God I didn’t waste my money tipping those naive counter-persons. I had to go out and sit in a park in sub zero weather to finish my food. Definitely never coming back ever again.
The food is amazing hands down. However as for the service, the service is super spotty. They close earlier than usual sometimes which is frustrating. The workers at the counter lack customer service experience. If the food wassnt so good this place would of got a lower rating.
Just Had Lunch At Lulu...Sooo Rightttttt Of The Bat.... Extremely SaltyI Sent Back The Calamari And They Made A New Batch Which Was 100% Better...The Other Dishes I had Them Do Less Salt As Well...Good Flavors, Nice Little Space And Good Service...I Would In All Honesty Tell Them Less Salt For Everything...Was Told This Before Going In That They Really Heavy Handed With Salt But Did NOT Expect That Amount LOL
Food was good but they seemed a bit overwhelmed with orders. I ordered online through their website to carry out and I got there when the site told me it would be ready, however I was told it would take another 30 mins. I left the store to tell my husband and he told me to cancel the order as we didnt want to wait for so long. When I called and told them to cancel they told me that my food was now ready? I like this place but Id probably try to avoid going for dinner again especially if Im doing take out as they seem to be busy and make a lot of errors at that time. They also forgot to put boba in my boba teas.
The service and atmosphere is excellent here but the food not so great. The host make sure you have everything and explained the menu thoroughly. The food was not good at all. Im not sure what the reviews are for. Maybe it was my first time bad luck. I requested dishes to be spicy but they were not at all. The food was not served warm. We tried the Red Curry, wings, shrimp appetizer, and General Tso.
Great food and unique menu. Katsu curry was wonderful, but also really enjoyed the chili chicken, general tso’s chicken, udon, and mixed appetizer platter. The guys running the place were super accommodating and friendly. Very aesthetic interior as well. Definitely worth a visit.
Had the pleasure of going there right before pandemic. We liked it so much that we went there twice. Overall, Great food and very friendly service. On the side note & a suggestion, reconsider the extra fees for bringing the cake to the table. This kinda kills the vibe for many because those who host large gathering are usually generous with tips.
Excellent Chinese food! Their Calcutta chili chicken is the best and the fried rice is really good too. I tried the lulu lollipop chicken and it was amazing. The service is also great and the place has a good feel as well. I was not disappointed and will definitely be back!
Ordered on their website (via menufy), but they closed early and told me go through menufy for refund, its not our problem. Obviously they didnt shut their system off from taking orders. Admit you made a mistake and apologize for inconvenience. Its a bummer, bc Im here all the time. Wont come back until they decide to reach out and make it right. Balls in their court.
Food was really delicious! Kids liked the fact they had boba tea! Only thing I really disliked and only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they require proof of vaccine to eat at a table. We were almost not allowed to sit at an outside table because my son, who is 14, is not vaccinated! Was told they would let it slide this time but next time it wouldn’t be allowed. So I guess until this pandemic is over, they will not get our business again
I ordered 1st time today. I am so glad I found them through seamless app. After almost a decade I finally got my General tsoi chicken taste that I missed. Its a must try. Usually chinese food is bland for me no salt and not v spicy . But this was perfect. And also the cauliflower manchurian was v nice .Most importantly it was delivered on timeThank you. Will order more frequently now
Love love love this place. Whenever my family and I go out to eat we make a point to visit this place. Good customer service, friendly place for families with kids and incredible food. There was one worker in particular who was very helpful and polite in my recent trip. I believe his name was Syed, but he took care of us and made us feel like we were at home when he was serving us. I live 2 hours away and wish I had one closer to me. However, I am willing to drive for their food. Theres almost never a wait like other restaurants in NY the facility is a bit small. Yet, cozy with welcoming people.
Eh. That summarizes my entire experience. The Bubble tea was alright, too sweet and over saturated with sugar. The wings that i ordered were so incredibly bad that wings that I had bought from the store and heated tasted better. The Chicken from the Lo Mein tasted like absolute plastic. Overall a Garbage experience and this is unfortunate as this place had potential.
The udon noodles couldn’t live up to the hype, sadly. But the boba and the spring rolls in the other hand were very tasty and would bring me back to visit. Honestly they were the best in the neighborhood. I loved our waiter, he was super nice and let us know our options and reccomendation. I couldnt really remember his name, but he was an asian guy with a great smile and different skin tone.
Food can be a hit or miss. I personally haven’t had issues with the food as all my orders, the food was amazing. My thing is that they are overpriced compared to an average store. I bought a canned soda and they taxed me on that! $1.73? Come on guys.. I know everyone has to make money but small things like that piss of a customer. Make the soda an even 1.50 if you have to. Also the prices always change. I ordered to same order twice on two different occasions 3-4 days apart (general tso) and it was two different prices from two different people.
Nice place with really good food. Service was amazing considering that there was only one person working. My man Rafi took orders, made the drinks, brought the food out, promptly provided receipts and made sure everyone was satisfied all at once. Really impressed by the service. Had a chill atmosphere. It got louder as more people came in, but was overall pleasant.
Lulus is a very weird restaurant. The first time I had lulus I was very excited because everyone was talking about it and I ordered the lamb over rice and it tasted delicious the next time I ordered lulus it was gross there was no salt whatsoever and it was absolutely tasteless. simply put lulus is a hit or miss. now you decide if you really want to order from them.
The food was mediocre. I ordered Lollipop chicken and beef coconut buns for appetizers and the Singapore noodles for entrée. The Lollipop chicken was average taste wise and the portion was smaller then other places I have eaten. The beef bun was unique. The Singapore noodles was something that I never tasted before. The ingredients used did not go well together specially the spices. The beef in the noodles smelled funky and tasted even worst. 100% do not recommend.
The food was amazing, our server, Rafee, was super nice and helpful with the food selection. He showed great hospitality and he was very welcoming. I recommend the Furious Flat noodles, it had the right amount of spice added and also the Broccoli Family with the Chicken Fried Rice. This is not your average Chinese Food Restaurant. As for the desert, DEFINITELY get the Fried Ice Cream, it was so crispy and the food presented is spot on. The price is very reasonable. I rate this place a 10/10
Don’t usually write reviews but wow their customer service is just something else and the funny thing is I didn’t even dine in, I was having trouble ordering my food and the boy on the phone his name was sayed was very nice and helped me out, he recommended using the website and guided me through all the options on their menu, and the food I got did not disappoint, their ramen is delicious and definitely recommend it, I ordered here because of the great reviews so I guess you guys can use mine as one too. Highly recommend getting food here.
Our waiters name was rafee, and he was one of the best I’ve ever had. He checked in the perfect number of times, got the food out as soon as it was ready, and also let us know when the kitchen was closing just Incase we needed any last orders. The food was 10/10 too, the Bao’s were crazy amazing
Amazing! Its smallish but comfortable. Service was amazing especially our waitress Sasha. They were so accommodating with our family with 2 toddlers and a baby. Its even great atmosphere for a romantic date night. Best part? They gave us 2 free extra scoops of ice cream for desert. It was clean and not expensive at all! Definitely coming back.
This place had good food at the beginning. However, lately food gone bad to worse. Last week i ordered lunch had Fried rice and general Tsao chicken. Rice was hard as card board, and chicken smelled and tasted really bad. And it wasnt the first time, i have been ordering team lunch for a while but its keep getting worse.
FOOD IS AMAZING!! Went out with my family to celebrate my sisters birthday and enjoyed every bit of it. The staff and the environment is great. Also, pricing are on point 👌🏽. Our server Sasha was awesome she welcomed us and took care of us with exceptional customer service. Definitely recommend family, friends etc.
Called them to ask if dine in was open, we were told it was and they need to check our immunization record which we had in our phones. On arrival lad on the counter asked for physical cards, we showed him pictures of the card and he would not accept it as per the guy he cant tell if its real or fake.. He said its nyc regulations and I can read about it on their website whose link was on their door. I read the regulations and it said PICTURE OF CDC CARD IS A PROOF OF VACCINATION AND IF WE ARE NOT CATERED THEN THATS DISCRIMINATION, showed it to the guy and he still wouldnt budge. Weird... I thought people want business to return as covid hit them hard.. 1star for customer service and weird guy on the counter. Havent tasted food cant review it. Came all the way from bayridge for it. Disappointing
This restaurant was very unexpected. I thought it was going to be bad but let me tell you this restaurant was a 10/10. Will go again, service is amazing, waiters were very nice and pleasant helped me choose out very good meal. The sesame chicken special was excellent. Would recommend.
I havent dined in yet but I did get some takeout and the food was actually great. Minus the terribly small portion of chicken wontons, the food portions were good. The menu doesnt have any sort of special flair to it, hopefully it changes but the service here is great and the ambiance seemed perfect for a family dinner. I will be back!08/2020 update: their food has gotten really bad. Incredibly bad. It all tastes very stale, flavor is off and nothing feels worth eating.
I arrived at the new restaurant and was immediately greeted with a warm smile. The service was beyond comforting. I always like a place with good service, felt like I had a personal waitress. The food is better than any other High end Asian restaurant I’ve been to, I give it a 5 out of 5. There appetizers are beyond regular appetizers they offer a rich variety and flavors. I recommend the PuPu Sampler. I got the Mongolian, the beef for an Entree. It was succulent and delicious again better than any 5 star restaurant. For dessert I got the Lava cake, it was a subtle sweet flavor that perfectly overtakes your pallet. All in all the experience is worth it and I would recommend any foodie to try it out. Definitely will be back!
I don’t usually give reviews but man that kid was nice, I didn’t really have enough cash on me for a drink along with the food I got and he saw me sweating from the crazy heat today and gave me a water bottle on the house he was really nice and had a very nice vibe, pepper steak was really good too just a little expensive , I didn’t catch the kids name but he works today and he’s tall!
The amazing customer service provided by Rafi and Shumon was one of the best experience I had at any restaurant. They were very polite, friendly and made sure that we were completely satisfied with everything. The food was also amazing. Always remember “Take care of your customers, take care of your employees and the business will flow” - Jack Taylor. Thank you!
I had the Lollipop Chicken they Have. The Lollipop chicken they have is pretty decent even though a bit pricey 8 dollar something for 5 pieces. The Sauce is very salty. They should consider adding less salt to it.The presentation is nice.Food Quality is on point.Loved it.
I ordered a little less than every on the menu for a birthday party. It was not that great! Not sure if it is because of the pandemic, but the quality was just eh...average. I wouldnt order take out from here again, but if I didnt have a choice I would only order the panang curry and nothing else.
Don’t buy the Ramen here. When I saw the Instagram post for the three new Ramen dishes, I was excited because there were no Halal Ramen spots in the area. However after trying them I’m extremely disappointed. My first shock came after seeing the prices, the chicken Ramen is $15 and the lobster Ramen is a surprising $25. These prices aren’t too bad actually, but after tasting them I felt like I over paid $20. The chicken Ramen was half decent I could taste the soy sauce and the chicken aroma was all right. But it ended up not having any distinct flavor. In my opinion it she said pretty bland,, I felt like it would’ve been way better if there was more salt and more spice. The lobster Ramen was even worse, the broth was the sort of creamy lobster broth but it also felt like I needed more to add. The seafood flavor was distinguishable besides that I couldn’t really taste a Any of the other ingredients. i’m guessing the reason that they charge so much is for the lobster tail, in my opinion that was the worst part, it had no seasoning whatsoever besides a few bell peppers and There was a piece of American cheese melted on top, which didn’t make it any better. Overall I think it was not worth the $43 I paid and I probably will not be buying it again. I was just shocked because I’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost the past two years and the majority of the dishes here taste very good.
The service was great. The food on the other hand wasn’t. I ordered general tso chicken and an order of beef fried rice. The general tso where smaller than bite sized. The beef in rice little small pieces. An for 27$ it was not worth it at all. No different from the panda spot down the block.
I went out for dinner with my husband and son a week ago and to my amazement, we had a great time. The place is quite small but the food and company are great! Our waitress Sasha was professional but very sweet to my 15 month old son. I cant wait to go back to get some more curry rice!
I went to dinner tonight with my parents and it was somewhat busy. However, one of the servers, Rafee, was extremely attentive to our table despite the fact that he oversaw so many customers. In fact, the manager came over multiple times to ask us about the food and whether we had any questions. When my mom didn’t like the Hot & Sour soup, Lulus was quick to apologize and rectify the issue. Overall, I would say they are doing a great job in terms of customer service ! In terms of the food, I would recommend the fried beef dumplings, mandarin prawn, and sesame chicken. They’re all great!!
All the food was great!Service was exceptional. We got the Calcutta chicken, sizzling dumplings, red curry 😋😋, and fried ice cream. Everything was cooked perfectly, meat was succulent and sauces hit the spot. Our servers were Rafi and Sumoon who made sure we were well taken care of.Our new Fav spot !Will def be back!
The atmosphere was great and looked very appealing and the food was amazing, loved it. One of the best restaurants i’ve been to and the food had that irresistible flavour and the staff were lovely! Rafee served us very well, he made sure everything was perfect kept checking up on us and asking if we needed anything else and got along with us very well and had a laugh. He answered our questions politely regarding bout the food, lovely service would be coming back soon!! 5/5
Ive ordered delivery service a few times and decided to dine in. The food is always delicious and consistent. Weve tried steamed dumplings, fried rice, wings, lollipop chicken, soup and (my favorite) Singapore noodles. They always make the food as requested, extra spicy. The service was great and the food was great. Looking forward to many more enjoyable meals!
Lulu Asian kitchen simply put is the Indian Mans best shot at trying to replicate Chinese food. You can get 10 times better tasting food and more of it at cheaper price at the local Chinese store. Of course you wont be getting that halal option that lulu offers. Id say if your hungry as hell and have no where to go then go here. If not you can hit Jamaica, halal dynasty if ur just taking out and if you wanna dine in there is always Sagar chinese which is also halal.
If you are in Queens and looking for tasty food and amazing bubble tea . Pop right over to this cute little family orientated restaurant. The food is amazing the service is impeccable and the staff makes you feel very welcomed . Ask for mehsan & syed they’ll get you right 😌
Food was good. We got sesame chicken and pepper steak. Sesame chicken was eh ok nothing crazy bit too sour but tasted good with the hot oil. Nice and crunchy. Came with white rice. My husband wasnt big fan of the pepper steak. It was too sweet for him. The drumsticks were great!!! We ordered the fortune cookie hit fudge. It was basically ice cream with fortune cookie and chocolate syrup, not even hot syrup. Was it worth $65 umm no. Maybe 40 but eh. Service was great! Ambience was pretty good too. I might go back for appetizers and drinks only
The food was great and service was superb. The Blue China drink was probably one of the most amazing drinks I have ever had. Service was great, Rafee meet to our needs, he brought us chairs when we didnt have enough room to sit, brought us whatever else we needed and didnt have and made sure we had everything we needed in order to have a great time. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and if you are going to get any drink, get the Blue China.
Very bad and disgusting frozen food. Everything was frozen cooked. Absolutely nothing was fresh. Staff were friendly but absolute waste of money. I have enjoyed Chinese food in many places and this was absolutely atrocious. $3 microwaved ramen taste way better. I feel disgusting inside.
The food was excellent and the staff was so accommodating! Our server Sumon made every effort to ensure that we had a good dining experience, even adjusting the music and heat so that we felt as comfortable as possible. We loved the chicken spring rolls, the pu pu platter and these beef steam buns (sooo good!). Was definitely worth the traffic to make it out here!
Im glad such a unique restaurant opened up in this neighborhood. Ive been there multiple times and its about due time I write a review. The food there is excellent. I had the Calcutta Chilli Chicken, their new chicken ramen, and some sizzling dumplings. They recently started serving Thai food as well so the options are there. The service was top notch. Our servers, Rafee and Sumon, were friendly and checked up on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was alright. They answered all our questions and made the overall experience that much better.I highly recommend everyone to go eat at Lulu Chinese if youre around.
Food was not as expected. If you are saying you are serving Chinese food, I should not feel like I went out for Indian food (and I love Indian cuisine) I got the shrimp and broccoli and my shrimp was undercook and broccoli was over cooked. And the fried rice tasted like jasmine white rice with soy sauce on it for color. The employees are soooooo nice and friendly though, they get the 5 stars. definitely not the food.
Service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was excellent. Service was great and music was popping. My waiter Suman was the real MVP. He was very attentive and always made sure that we were taken care of. He made sure that our glasses are always full. I had an really good time while I was here at Lulu and the service that Suman provided made this experience even better.
To be honest I don’t like Chinese food , but this place was really good. The decor was very nice, service was beyond great and food was delicious. I went with a group of five for birthday and we all had a wonderful experience. It’s out of my way but if I’m in the mood of good Chinese food I’ll definitely visit again because it’s worth the travel. Thanks to the owner and server who welcomed us with all smiles and love.
Not a fan. On the evening I came to this restaurant I wanted to dine in. There were empty seats outside and no one sitting inside and yet I was told I needed to make a reservation by the employee behind the counter. When I asked if I needed to make a reservation to sit down and eat right at this moment, the waitress asked me how many and I confirmed just me. The moment the waitress told me she has to check the reservation list to see whose coming in I immediately said or I can just take it to go, with no hesitation she agreed and told me it would be better to take out. Again, literally NO ONE in the restaurant with the exception of a group of girls who were seated outside waiting for their tea and yet she needed to check the reservation list to see who was coming in??? To seat a table for one?? That was a huge set off for me which is why I decided to take out instead.Food: the beef bao was greasy and over steamed. Do you know what happens when you over steam dough for the bao? It becomes hard rather than have a soft pillow texture. In addition, the beef was cooked with alot of oil so the bao was very greasy. As for the noodles, I order the udon noodles and I was not a fan and I LOVE a good noodle dish. The spice over powered the actual flavor of the dish and the beef was not what I expected. Very forgettable which I would think if youre paying additional to add meat, it should add to the flavor profile but it didnt.I was hoping to have a good experience at this restaurant and blog about it as I do food reviews but this was a miss for sure. Would not recommend.
I’ve tried many halal Chinese restaurants and this one stood out because of the Zabiha Halal certification. You can definitely taste the difference too. Unlike other places I’ve been to, I didn’t feel heavy and bloated after my meal. Delicious food with quality ingredients, I would definitely recommend! Very friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Will come back again for sure
Finally got a chance to go last weekend and loved everything; the environment, the food and the staff.Service was amazing especially our waitress Sasha. even though it was friday night and it was pretty busy we didnt have to wait too long for our food and drinks. definitely recommend the mango and leechee mojitos! they were so accommodating with all the guests and especially kids. A great halal chinese place to go just wish it was closer.
The food was too sweet. Lollypop chicken was great and so were the drinks. Sesame chicken was made well but was a bit on the sweeter side. Chilli steak was super sweet to the point I stopped eating it after a couple of bites. The fortune cookie dessert was nothing special, it was vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream with a fortune cookie on top.
One of the best parts of coming to Lulu Chinese was the food, but most importantly their ambiance as well as their amazing service. When coming in, my friends and I were served by Sumon, a friendly and charismatic individual who gave us the best experience possible. He was very attentive to all of the customers, and provided us with extra bottles of water in case we ran out. He waited for all of the dishes to be done and provided everything in a timely manner. Sumon’s the best!!!!!!
Not your usual Chinese Restaurant - Did you know they serve Thai also? Its been awhile that Ive been to a Chinese restaurant in Ozone Park to have my dinner and this place was excellent from start to finish. The greeter and server was so prompt in service and very friendly. They made me a house special non-alcoholic drinks that got my night started. The Calcutta Chilli Chicken and Basil Fried Rice was delicious. I would recommend this place eyes closed.
I ate here today for the first time ever. It was so so delicious. Every single thing I ordered. Everyone loved it. We also invited some distant relatives to dine with us and they loved it too. I had a really great time there. We ordered Crab Rangoon, Steamed Dumplings, Chicken Lollipop, Fish Kow (Chefs Speciality), Shrimp Lo Mein, Chinese chicken fried rice, and drinks such as Lychee or Mango Rita (Very spicy and with jalapeno) or Mango Madness (Has cotton candy on top and very sweet) I recommend everything I just listed, you must try! And its cheap! Every item was 11/10. Damn I shouldve took pics. The place is small but the inside is so beautiful with Chinese lights and lamps. Its cozy and comfortable. Makes you feel at home and of course not too crowded. Just how I like it. The waitress was very nice too and understood us when we took time ordering or was confused since it was our first there. I will definitely be coming here again many times!
Even though I had a bad experience with the waitress today (Sharmin) who messed up my order and hung up on me when I called the restaurant to speak to the manager, my email to the restaurant was promptly responded. The manager (Razib) gave me his personal number to talk with him and I was very impressed with how diligent, humble and professional he was. He offered me a ANY item for free on my next order. As much as I appreciated it, I declined the offer but he insisted ! Lol, very kind gentleman. Their food is always great and I am a regular customer of theirs. Curry chicken, pepper chicken and kung fu garlic sauce wings are my favorites.
It’s nice to have a halal Chinese restaurant that is not your regular takeout Chinese restaurant. I had a good experience and I enjoyed my food. I had the bow wow chicken and Calcutta chicken entree which was a bit spicy but good.Overall the food is good and the price is reasonable.
I would give 0 stars if i could. I ordered drunken noodles and pad see we and asked for no egg as I have an egg allergy. Of course when we got the food we started eating as there was no egg on top. As we eat we notice the bottom is riddled with egg almost like they tried to hide it. You know a restaurant is bad when they cant be bothered to make you a fresh order. They dont even answer the phone we had to get a refund through seamless. They should be sued for their negligence. Stay away from this restaurant they clearly dont care for their customers.
If there was a way to give no stars I would. The place had lots of potential as we started with drinks and starters. Lychee mojito was good but they could only serve one of 5 people on the table. Bummer! Calamari was good. Chicken and beef bun tasted more like cured beef and chili chicken than anything else. Then we had entree, the shrimp pad thai was cooked with wrong types of noodles and shrimp tasted raw. Same thing for chicken with broccoli. The chicken was so bad it literally smelled and I had high hopes for Chicken ramen. And oh my lord was I wrong. The noodles were not ramen to begin with and the broth was so bad and salty that I had one spoon and said to myself never had I even been this disappointed. Too bad but not going back nor recommending to anyone. Place is very small and doesn’t look like anything like the pictures you see. Don’t believe it!! Go and waste you money to see!! Good luck
So I found this place on Instagram and I instantly thought I had to try it out. Halal and Chinese ? Two in one? Can it get any better then this ? My friends and I went to celebrate a birthday, and our server Rafee, being the only server there that night did his VERY best at accommodating to all of our needs. Plus he was cute so it made it even better.
New spot ALERTT!!! Been hearing about this on Instagram and within the Halal Community . Decided to give them a shot , I was truly amazed. I had been in that area actually came to find out I ate at the restaurant that was there before. Its a small restaurant I would say but very cozy!! Walked in , and we were all greeted and seated right away !! Menus were already set on the table, host told us a little about the restaurant and the special dishes !! We decided to go with his recommendation. The food came out pretty fast and in order, not like at some places where apps and main course is coming out at the same time. The presentation was amazing and very unique as well . Overall this was a a very good experience !!Ambience- 9/10Service - 10/10WiFi- Not SureParking - StreetHalal- Yes
I found this place through instagram and heard many good things about it. I decided to try it out so I went with my family on my bday for dinner. We easily found parking and the presentation of the place and food was amazing!! I was so shocked on how well we were treated and taken care of!!! I will definetly be going back to this place asap!!! 10/10 Also the three workers (Kiren, Suman, and Ahmed) were extremely nice and kept asking us if we needed anything and gave very good recommendation on what to order.
Our server I think his name was Syed was very helpful and it felt like I was in a friends house dining in he remembered all our names and didn’t fail to answer any of the questions food was also very good the general Tso was a little bit on the sweet side but still very good definitely recommend
Food was great. Its a very relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the General Tso mango madness and it was good just alittle too sweet but good. The customer service was good also. Was looking for hot green tea but it is not available yet. Overall i would definitely come here again. Its refreshing to have halal chinese in this area.
The community needs a great halal chinese food restaraunt, however when compared with Fatimahs halal kitchen located in Long Island city or any other chinese restaraunt it is a bit more for the Half chicken here. My dad ordered a half of chicken which totaled to $8.21 cents, no rice, no drink, just 4 medium sized pieces of chicken, they didnt even suggest would you like to try a chef specialty that comes with rice? Recomendation: sell a whole fried chicken, otherwise customers would have to order 2 halfs that would total $16.42, I mean its their business they can charge whatever they want, I get it...keep the doors open and to pay the employees...However, just some friendly, neighborhood, recommendations; update the menu to include lunch specials that includes a drink. Prices that compete or are similar with other local chinese take out dishes and prices. Halal half chicken with rice and soda is $7.00 tops at Fatima Halal, $4.75 at regular spots but it comes with rice. Im only speaking of the half chicken as nothing else was ordered. Nice name LULU, great concept, clean environment. Other menu and pricing is not too bad, just the way the combinations are set up, you cant buy a half a chicken or a whole chicken with chicken fried rice, it all has to be ordered separately. I gave them 5 stars because they are new, and can always improve with time, just wished they had a half chicken, with chicken fried rice and a soda special, or even better a whole chicken combo with a soda. Nice menu ;-) Peace.
What can I say it was just great our server Syed asked about every little detail and guided me through the whole menu and gave me his best recommendations, I decided to try out the things he recommended and wow it was just great the appetizers were also just to die for the pupu sampler is a mix of some of their best appetizers and it comes on this spinning plate, great for pictures, definitely will be going back soon as I get the chance, I live a little far but it’s worth the drive.
I had very very bad experience about this restaurant. Service was very very very bad . Foods was very bad too. One dish they charge me individual. 15% Service charge include in my check then they asked me again for tips. We never go back & I don’t recommend this restaurant anyone...
Worst place even after reservation when I came in they don’t have place to serve waste of time driving all the way and customer service is worst the girl and a guy was not ready to give us a single seat to sit in ..they are like if you want you can sit out in this hot weather.

2022-01-24Revisited after 2 years. The menu has changed a bit, but it seems to be a good change. My family really enjoyed the experience! Great food, good service and reasonable prices!Heres the breakdown:Fried Thai Dumplings w/ Chicken - 5.0Chicken Lollipop: 4.0 (drumsticks a bit low on the flavor, but the peanut sauce it comes with is tasty)Calcutta Chicken: 5.0 - still very flavorful and Spicy! 🔥Basil Fried Rice w/ Veggies: 4.5Milk Thai Iced Tea: 4.5Sevice: 5.0Prices: 5.0 (One of the only few restaurants without the mandatory Sevice Charge added to the bill! A suggestive tip amount was printed at the bottom of the bill. I really like it as it lets the customer decide based on the experience!)

2022-02-05The chicken Katsu and appetizers were delicious. Like we cleaned up the plate. But the limited time surf and turf need to work. Not as much flavorful and the lamb chop was too tough. Plus it’s portion size was not big enough. Most of the surf and turf are done with beef for that reason cause Lamb chop doesn’t have enough meat. But other than that overall was good including the service

2022-06-16Overall, a good experience. Our group of four arrived around 7 PM. Theres street parking perpendicular to the street the restaurant is in; theres no separate parking lot. Theres an shielded outdoors part before you get inside the actual restaurant. It was barricaded so you had to maneuver around them to sit and get out of the table youre seated in (maybe its some COVID regulation, I didnt ask). Our waiter was courteous and attentive to our needs--actually he looks and sounds like one of my younger relatives but from the future, so thats cool. That said, we werent given water until one of us asked towards the end, so Im not sure if thats how they do it here or they forgot. Not a big deal.Theres a prayer room that one of us went inside to pray Maghrib. The bathroom was fine, but as per the bad nature of my cultures people (or perhaps just NYC, but I think its really just bengali men who cant aim or dont care to and just p1$$ on the floor), the bathroom floor was sticky. The food itself was good. The item I got was one of the only (if not only) vegan dish in the menu--the Sauteed Trio with garlic sauce. My group got the chicken curry katsu and I think those taco looking things I attached are the chicken bao buns.Overall a good experience and worth visiting. Theres a nice Dragon Ball Z photo in the table to your right when you walk in from the entrance. Its nice to see halal asian fusions pop up more around these parts.

2022-06-08One of my fav Zabiha Certified Halal Asian restaurants; loved the vibe the colors the food & the service . I finally found a restaurant which I can give 5 stars♥️♥️♥️The funny thing I never been to the area before & still had no trouble finding the restaurant.Altho the restaurant is small but it didn’t bother me at all. The restroom is very clean & huge; loved that! They say if the restroom of a restaurant is real clean then the kitchen is pretty clean too !The server was very knowledgeable, helpful, went out of his way to take care of me. I Soo appreciate that♥️Now let’s talk about the food; it’s really good! The price was reasonable too. I don’t mind paying little extra if the food is great! I ordered steamed shrimp momo, tsos chicken , beef lo main to take home for my son. Because I took a lunch menu it came with a spring roll. I gotta say it was one of the best spring roll I had. I also got a bubble tea, it was ok, price was really great !If you are near that area you definitely need to try their food, trust me you will not regret! And the best part it’s Zabiha Halal certified ♥️♥️♥️I am pretty sure I will be back, for me traveling all the way three will be worth when I come try another dish!

2022-04-05The drunken noodles was good as well as the thai tea. However the ramen did have a funky smell to it. They have a wide variety of bubble tea options as well. Lots of thai/asian cuisine options. Worth a try!

2021-12-29Lulus is just incredible. The staff was SO sweet!! Customer service really is the best here. The service was very quick and efficient and guess what!! They gave us free drinks on the house! How sweet. My friend and I were cracking jokes back and forth and one of our shrimps fell on the table LOL. The waiter came and asked us if everything was going well and we joked and said “apart from the shrimp, yes everything is terrific.” A minute later, the waiter came with a shrimp in a cute little serving bowl and said, “here, for the one that you dropped.” Honestly customer service is EVERYTHING! And lulus has just that. Thank you again Lulus for being so sweet and the food being so delicious, See you soon! 😊
