I purchased a couple’s massage through Groupon to redeem at Lumiere Spa. When I called to make a reservation the staff member was so pleasant. When I arrived at the spa the staff were very welcoming. I arrived a bit late for my appointment due to trying to find parking. The staff still honored the 60 minute massage, which I really appreciated. The rooms were very spacious, dimly lit, blackout curtains, quiet, clean, and comfortable. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. The massage was a full body massage from my shoulders to my feet and it was very relaxing. Was the first time a towel was placed over my hair and eyes during a massage. We also had the option to remove our masks during the massage. The only negative I have is in regards to the massage tables itself. I was concerned it wasn’t too stable, it would squeak sometimes during the massage. I’m a petite person 5”0 and 123 pounds so it wasn’t my weight moving or making the table squeak. Another thing I didn’t like is the staff took my information including my email but I didn’t receive an email confirmation. I called the day before my appointment to double check the time. There is only one bathroom located inside of the spa. Be sure to bring cash for tip about $15 (each person) and tax $12. Out of 5 stars, I would give: Customer service a 5, Massage a 4, atmosphere a 5, and overall experience a 4. Overall great service, I would return to this location. Give this place a try you may like it.

The masseuses were very gentle and careful. They kept asking me whether I feel fully comfortable and tried make constant adjustments for me do feel so. Unlike a couple of negative reviews, they weren’t pushy at all regarding gratuity—as a matter of fact, they weren’t even there when I was leaving the tip at the reception. Satisfying experience all in all.

A little guide for you guys, even though it says it on the address, but I didnt pay attention to it. The spa is on the 7th floor in the 224 building. As soon we got there, the front lady was super nice and friendly asked us we want tea or water. For tea, they have black tea or green tea. After that, she hands up jackets. She gave us an application where you are asking what level or area you want. We didn’t wait that long. The massages were great! Felt relax and ready to walk NYC streets after that. The spa have 9 dollars fee and for tips they have a minimum of 20 dollars for 60+ massage for each massagers.

I booked a couples massage and facial on 10/19 and spent $300. I’ve been trying to call and make an appointment for December 30th since the end of October. This week, their phone lines have been disconnected and their website is now down and can’t be accessed. Their building is also closed. They scammed me out of $300. Does anyone know how to get in contact with the owners? Do not waste your money here.

I am overly fed up with them at this point. Ive been trying to confirm an appointment for over a week now. They picked up the phone once & then never again. Their texting response also takes days. I was going to use a groupon to try this place out & then make it my regular place for massages but with this 1st impression, I might have to check elsewhere & get a refund instead. Very unprofessional. It seems like they dont want to prioritize a customer because of a voucher, in my opinion.

I want to thank Mona and her staff for great service. I had the enchanted couples package. It was worth the money. I have a fractured wrist. Mona said she would work around my wrist but the way she was massaging my left hand I asked her if she would please work on my fractured wrist. Well not only did I walk out of Lumierespa nyc satisfied I woke up to no pain in my wrist she took the pressure that has endured in the last 7 months away. I will definitely be going back. Thanks again for your services and yes I will be looking forward to a facial next time too

The management at this place is probably the worst in the country. So unprofessional. love their massage therapists but because of the lady at the reception ( the owner I believe) I will never go here again.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. This is absolutely one of the worst experiences I ever had. I had a combo of facial with microdermabrasion and a Swedish massage. The lady who worked on my facial had not done microdermabrasion claiming it was not apart of the package when I had discussed this with the front desk before. She even went as far as telling me it would be extra $$$ asking front desk again, in which the front desk honored my request at no extra cost. The facial was not thoroughly done either, felt like she just wanted to get it over with. The massage was even worse, so painful I just had to leave at this point. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I have visited Lumiere’s three times now and they are my favorite little spa in the city. The staff is so warm & friendly. The first time I went with my spouse for couples massages as a gift; we left so relaxed. After that I’ve been getting regular facials from Anna. She does such a thorough job without it being too painful. I always leave with glowing skin. I recommend her to everyone I know! The ambiance is also so relaxing. The music makes me feel like I am laying in a meadow at dawn. I can’t praise this little spa enough! I always leave in the best mood! Thank you Anna & Lumiere Spa!EDIT: so after attending this spa regularly for 6 months I will no longer be using their services.I had an 11am appointment this morning. We were in traffic and we’re not going to make the appointment. I called 5 times with no answer so I left a voicemail. They called back and I said I needed to reschedule to 6:30pm. The receptionist informed me they were going to charge me a fee per person to reschedule. I said absolutely not, so she put the manager on the phone. He explained why they were going to charge me, which fine I understand HOWEVER I was never informed about this policy and have rescheduled appointments before. I refused to allow them to charge me and said that I will have to find a new spa. His response was, “well that’s your choice.” Yes it is my choice to no longer use this establishment and it’s a shame because I loved my aesthetician, Anna, but refuse to be charged a fee for something I had no control over. Never again. Sorry, not sorry.

My friend and I came here for a massage and oxygen facial respectively. My spa professional was great and provided recommendations to improve my skincare routine. After she was finished, my skin was looking much better and I was happy with the experience (thus far). My friend said the massage she had received was one of the best she had ever gotten. As usual, my skincare professional was trying to sell me a package for facials. Because of the wonderful experience, I was actually considering buying a package and even a couples massage for two friends. However, this all changed when I proceeded to checkout- the woman at the checkout desk demanded payment in cash for the tax (from the groupon). When I stated I brought cash just for the tip, as I was told, she went on to refuse my statement, claiming numerous times that she told me to bring both the tip + tax in cash (why would I just bring cash for one and not the other, if I was told for both? I specifically went to the ATM to withdraw cash for the tip). I was shocked by her insistence and her lack of poor customer service, why is why my friend and I will not be returning. Her rudeness and lack of poor customer service (I guess they will hire anyone) tainted the experience, which is a shame because it really hurts the wonderful spa professionals that worked on my friend and I. Because of her, we will take our money elsewhere and buy a package at a place that knows how to treat its customers properly, without indirectly calling them liars.
