I started taking my pup to this establishment back in 2021 (Aug)... never had a problem/issue with the services. My pup was always cut beautifully. On this last spa visit things changed, I had my pup scheduled for a hair dye on his head. I dropped him off at 8:30 am normally I get him back by 12 but this day he was ready later in the day...All went well at pickup, pup was in great spirits, then the next morning we realized my pup had a blood shot right eye (pic below), I emailed and texted the spa a pic and asked if this could be from the dye job. I was told that this could be from stress or irritation and would clear up in a day or two. (Texts being answered by the owners assistant) I thought ok cool....then the next day I noticed the eye was getting worse and I took my pup to the vet. The vet diagnosed my pup with a hematoma (see attached). I was in complete shock. I was told by the vet the black eyes typical show up hours later after being hit....I AM NOT SAYING anyone abused my pup at the spa but I wondered if he accidentally hit his head ... sometimes dogs can be a little stressed while getting groomed (not sure if my dog is since he has been getting groomed regularly since I got him at 2 weeks old and now he is 2 yrs old) any hoot, I could not contact the groomer after the vet visit because they were closed so I contacted them via text again because it would be hard to discuss all this in person or on the phone since they are extremely busy...in the text (again with the assistant) I was told that he did not have a black eye (hematoma) the vet gave me the wrong diagnose since it didnt match their google search. We had a long convo on text and they said something may have happened when the dogs had a small play period. First, I did not know the dogs get to play while being groomed, I am not upset about that I mean the dogs are there for a period of time. What bothers me if 1.) the owner Michele did not pick up the phone neither when I first sent a pic the day after the grooming nor did she call once I told her the vet diagnose just to say I am so sorry about Chewy. 2.) they mentioned if there is anything that can be done to alleviate the stress... I did not know how to answer this because shouldnt the owner have a policy setup for things like this? She has a grooming business and she allows the dogs to play together so that in itself says something/anything to happen during that time....Once again I am not saying my pup was abused but something hit his head....maybe he did but shouldnt the pups be secured so this shouldnt happen? In a business owners plan for great things but what about when bad things happen? what then....I am surprised Michele has not reached out to me personally especially since she was the groomer and she is the owner. How would a owner/groomer rectify this matter. I love the cut she gives my dog but honestly I could not let my dog go back...in my mind I would always think is he ok this time....will this happen again? (Its like having a baby going to a babysitter-if your child comes back with marks, scratches, a knot on the head and the sitter doesnt acknowledge it would you send the child back)...This has been so stressful for me. My pup is my world and there is nothing I would not do for him. Thank God this will heal in about 2 weeks but during this time it will change colors and I need to apply eye drops. I am not saying dont go to Luxury Spa (Michelle-grooms very well) I am just saying be mindful that anything can happen at a groomer place.
Very professional, patient , and informative . My doggy is a handful and still was beautifully groomed . I was giving updates during services which left me feeling confident in my choice to do business with this establishment . Lyfe look awesome and came home unharmed or bruised . . I will be going back.
I initially started coming here and was very happy however after speaking to the owner whose name is Michelle I believe, this is a terrible terrible place, the owner is very rude, was yelling because I questioned about extra charges that she added, before I left I was told $75 and when I came to pick up my dog they said it was $100, she completely lost her temper on me, started yelling at the top of her lungs and I was so confused. Michelle also stated how she squeezed me in last minute when all did was call to ask when the next available appointment was, also I dropped my dog off at 10:30am and got her back at 2:30pm. She continued to bad mouth me to the rest of the staff, it was so unprofessional and it really just ruined my day, it was almost like she was bullying me and this is all during the holidays. I am never coming back again, the owner is terrible. Also if you step foot into this place youre going to be covered in dust and pet hair its so gross and dirty. I still cant believe how she treated her customer, I am so disturbed by this, please do not go here.
Absolutely horrible customer service. “Manager”Extremely rude.” Have been a customer fir many years however level of service has gone down. My dog was completely shaved in the middle of winter face was not trimmed and tail totally uneven. Don’t bring your precious fur baby here. They are not nice. Bye bye luxury Pet Spa
Being a new doggy mama I had been taking Kenza to a well known large pet store and wanted to try a smaller establishment as I felt Kenza wasnt getting the grooming she deserved. So I booked her in to luxury Pet Spa. I am not going anywhere else from now on. The experience was personable, Dana was very tentative and her welcome was so warm. Everyone was very friendly. My dog kenza usually hates going for her baths but she took to the place right away. Upon picking her up she looked and smelt beautiful, looked happy too. Oh and I brought her a beautiful sweater, soft and cozy.. THANK YOU ALL for making our first visit so pleasant and fun. See you soon 😊
First time customer..I was recommended here by a neighbor and they did not disappoint!!! My muffin came out so energetic and happy, so I believe she enjoyed her experience as well! The staff was very nice and friendly. The shop itself has plenty of treats, collars and clothing to chose from (I actually got her a raincoat at pick up). We will be returning!!
I have been coming here since my usual groomer was making it close to impossible to get an appointment around when COVID began. I have 8 dogs that range from 3 pounds to 20 pounds, and from 1 years old to 10 years old, and Michelle grooms them all. If I needed anything changed, she was always more than happy to do it. Their prices are very reasonable, and I appreciate the fact that I do not feel gouged if one of my dogs coats needs a little more work. I appreciate that she isnt quick to shave them, but always tries to save their coats.
Anyone looking for Black Owned Dog Groomer look no more. Yesterday, I took my dog to get groomed at the Luxury Pet Spa at 1209 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. The Store is beautiful. The Staff is extremely professional. My pup was done in less than two hours and she was really matted. I found them through a recommendation on Black Long Island a group on Facebook. I highly recommend this business. This store has decent prices.
I took my dog here a few weeks ago. I was nervous as my dog get nervously easily, but as soon as I stepped into the store my mind was at ease. The owner/groomer Michelle was so kind, compassionate and caring. She let my baby warm up to her first, listened to what I wanted done. When I picked my baby up I was in complete shock. He looked absolutely amazing and smelt great. I highly recommend Luxury Pet Spa Boutique.
I am a new costumer and I love the salon. Before discovering Luxury Pet Spa, I would take my dog King to get groomed at Pet-smart, but I was never completely satisfied with how he came out. I decided I wanted to try a new place so I made an appointment and hoped for the best. King was groomed by Michelle and he has never looked or smelled so good since I got him. Not only did they do a great job with my dog but the costumer service was great as well. Highly recommend taking your dog to get groomed here.
I have been grooming my toy Maltese at luxury pet spa boutique for a little over 2 years. Michele and her staff are nothing short of professional and kind/loving to not only my baby boy but all the other pets as well. This is such a family oriented salon and every time I am there I feel like family with Michele and Aja. My dog loves them and so do I! I’ve never been disappointed with a cut that I have received for my pet from them and I am a regular here and have referred many of my friends with dogs as well. If you are struggling to find a groomer to call home definitely do not hesitate to try Luxury Pet Spa!!

Michelle has been grooming my baby for almost ten years. I had been to several other groomers with no major complaints however in finding Michelle I realized there was a level of knowledge and expertise that I hadnt seen in all the years prior with my other dogs... not only has she resolved an issue of trust which resulted in aggression initially from my baby (he was a rescue), but she educated us on a proper diet for him and preventative care as he is approaching senior age. Her advice over the years on how to help him become ok with even me rubbing his paws has been successful. All that I can say is if you visit the salon and meet her she will do the same for your pet. Highly recommend and highly trusted.
I felt so violated after bringing my dog here. After my dog was ready I asked to see my dog. This is not the first time I’ve had my dog groomed. Usually they allow me to see my dog and then payment is made. The owner demanded payment before I even saw my dog. I should’ve called the police but I paid and I left. I will never come here again.
When we think of luxury we think of the best hotels we think of the best cars the most fashionable clothing when I think of a grooming salon I can only think of luxury pet spa. My experiences with luxury pet spa has always left me wanting for more, in the sense that I know that my pet is coming out with a phenomenal haircut and has been treated with kindness who doesn’t want that there really is no other salon in the area with an owner and a groomer as skilled as Michelle Brice. She is a truly talented Groomer and she cares about her space the shop is clean and up to date if I can say anything to you today you need to check out luxury pet spa!
I went here a few times with my dog at first the owner was very rude and I was not going to return but then a young male groomer did my dogs grooming and I decided to keep seeing him but after the first or second visit he wanted to dye my dogs hair and offered free grooming if I let him dye my dog, I said no. After that each time I went my price was different. The following few visits were okay but then he started catching an attitude. I had brought numerous new customers there and non of them were happy with the results of their dogs haircuts nor did I ever receive any benefit for bringing these new customers. Finally my bad day came.. I requested THE USUALNO cutting my dogs facial hair (leave the beard !) dont shave the top of his nose ! I was VERY VERY VERY CLEAR. Spoke to everyone in person and repeated myself multiple times as I normally do during drop off. I like to make sure they understand the instructions clearly each time!! Nevertheless they dont care what you want ...I pick up my dog and his face is shaved! The groomer whom I tip $20 or more each time said - i know what you wanted but I did what I thought was good for the dog.I told him I was upset he would just do that when I was so clear, he did not care or show any sign of remorse.I decided I would never have him cut my dog again. Now I have ptsd from this.So I call a month later for a BATH only and they wont see my dog anymore because now I have stated I dont trust them !Lol the nerve.There is a dog groomer on every corner.If you want attitude and a chop job go here. They will not appreciate or respect your business. Enjoy!Not reliable.Not professional.Not trustworthy.
The owner viciously slapped a late fee of 15.00 which I agreed to pay. My fault. The attitude and negative energy caused my pet dog to have an unhappy and stressful experience. He became aggressive. When i came to pick him up the owner yelled and slapped another fee of 20.00 for him being aggressive with the groomer and stated moving forward I will have to continue paying 20.00 extra. I’ve used this spa for many years. Never encountered this woman before. The owner cursed at me and called the police because I asked for a paper receipt with letterhead. She was extremely rude, nasty, calling me out my name even in front of the police officer. Today 3/20/21
Doggos looked great and smelled great after. They did everything I asked and they said they would do.One of my little guys are super nervous and is a thrasher which I warned them about and they confirmed after and said they needed extra hands to help and then kindly suggested we bring him back in 4 weeks to get him groomed again so he can get more comfortable and accustomed to it. By no means were they pushy with this, I am happy they suggested it and I will be doing that as in general I am working on making that little guy less skittish. My skittish guy was NOT traumatized at all which I am grateful for and leads me to believe they were gentle with him. 😊❤️I am happy with the customer service everyone was friendly and most importantly cared about the animals. I am glad I went with them over Petco!
Woooooooow. Please just go! Not only did this place give my baby the BEST cut he’s ever had, but everyone there was so amazing. He was styled by Michelle - who tell can tell right off the bat was so invested in her place. I trust her and this business wholeheartedly! I have taken my dog out of situations at other places where I didn’t feel comfortable and I’m so relieved I never have to go through that again. A real pleasure to go there! Michelle worked at another pet spa not too far away, when I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist stated Sorry, Michelle no longer works here, oh NO, now what, when I finally find someone thats really great at what they do she was gone, so now the search started to track down Michelle, my friend searched on Facebook and there she was, we found her! I’ve been taking my fur babies to Luxury Pet Spa and Boutique since she ( Michelle) opened. I’ve watched the business grow and the services have grown as well and the prices are reasonable. Luxury Pet Spa & Boutique Is JUST THAT. Luxurious... A Pet SPA and a Boutique that carries just about EVERYTHING. Food, Treats, Doggie Apparel, Doggie Products for their upkeep. I mean, I was so shocked the first time I took my pups there. They have been going there for months now and I will not be going anywhere else. They come out looking ready for a dog show and smelling AMAZING. Whatever shampoo they use works so good they don’t ever smell anymore. I just take them for haircuts it seems. Definitely would recommend to anybody that’s looking for a groomer.
Luxury Pet Spa is the best salon to take your fur baby to. Besides their excellent service and patience they have a great selection of healthy choice foods and treats for your pups. I recommend them to everyone I know who has a puppy/dog. My dog Jax and I always have a great experience when we visit.
Luxury pet boutique definitely stand up to it name its a experience for not only the pet but the mom and dads of our four legged babies. You walk in and the boutique smells amazing. Its clean the workers and friendly and inviting and not to mention well informed and inviting. I been taking my Bella there and everytime my Bella has come out look so amazing. Smelling good and looking better. Michelle has made her boutique a experience while i wait it a pleasant experience to sit and see all the goodies and information she has about the different breeds that she equipped to handle. I would recommend and to bring the baby her i trust them that isnt easy to do because of the love we have as caretaker but i leave the boutique feel safe and secure bella is in the right atmosphere. They call when she is ready and if there are any questions they welcome you to call and vice versa. I find in boutique you find rare pieces of clothing you can necessarily find in chain department store well i apply this same experiences in the Luxury Pet Boutique you find products are quality products for your pets. I love it here.
This pet spa is just what the title say it is. I took my baby girl Autumn there to be pampered and they did just that. The staff there is absolutely amazing🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 this was the best experience I had with a pet spa. They where so kind and courteous and they took care of my baby which was a plus.. Her cut was so on point and we went out and showed out the rest of the day.. Thank You Luxury Pet Spa for such a great experience my Autumn approves and we will be back for March Madness on the 15th.
I attended their Sudsy Sunday with my dog. For $20 my dog was bathed and brushed out then came out with a cute St. Patricks day bandana. While I waited they had coffee and breakfast for the owners. I have never seen this in a dog salon before. It was such an experience! I cant wait to go back. My dog left happy and pranced around the boutique.

This is the only pet spa i will ever go to! they are the most friendliest, kindest people ever! i’ve brought my pup in at least 10 times and they make it a comfortable environment for not only my baby girl, but for myself as a pup parent!thank you to everyone there, and thank you michele for always making me feel like family!
My Peppa is a 1 year old yorkie that got pregnant on this groomers watch . My Peppa is a house dog that is never around other animals . I went to the store to let the owner know and she hasn’t been cooperating . I gave the owner enough time for her to look in to her camaras the way she asked me but still no responsed From the owner . I been sending many emails all I asked to reimbursed my vet cost .
I just love this pet spa. I took my pup there and the service was remarkable. Mrs. Michelle is so sweet and very caring and gentle with the service she gives for animals and that’s a plus for me. I will be back everyone there is A one I wish I could give them 10 stars
My beautiful 5 month old shih tzu, Maggie, was groomed here and I could not have been more pleased with the results! She was beautifully groomed & the staff here are super friendly & humorous! They make you feel like you’ve known them for a while & they make you feel like your pet will be safe in their care. Love it!
I met with the owner recently to show her my dog and ask pricing. She was so nice and informative! She sat with me for over an hour talking about grooming and a pets diet, as I explained to her an eating issue with my small breed dog. She gave me so much info that my vet never gave! I made an appt for grooming for the next day and im completely satisfied! Her and her staff are the sweetest and its obvious they are animal lovers! I will never go anywhere else ever again! And her prices cant be beat, which makes it even easier to groom often with this tough economy!IzzysMom:)
I love going to Luxury Pet Spa. I use to go to another groomer but my dog was a hassel for them. She doesnt like her nails getting done and they always told me I had to get my puppy sedated. I thought that was crazy just for a nail trim. I was told about Luxury Pet Spa and everyone I talked to had good things to say. So I went to try them out. First, my puppies nails were trimed! I was shocked they told me she was a little trouble but got it done. Then my puppy smelled so good! Even 2 weeks later!! At my last groomer it would only last a few days. My pup is always excited to go back and that is a great feeling to have, knowing that they treat the animals great! I think they love my dog more than I do. I actully have a relationship with them. I am so happy with Luxury Pet Spa that I am even going to bring my cat next time! I highly recommened going here.

Amazing place, my wife found the place. She always sopke great things. One day was my turn to take him. staff is great and friendly... Love bringing our little guy there plus he actually enjoys going there. Love the little things they give him to take home and amazing referral program... happy she found the place. We use to take him to Petco... Wasnt happy there... This place for the same money you get 100 times better quality and you feel safe bringing your furbaby there!

The place claimed my friend denied payment but he didnt. Owner was not friendly, at least in replying for complains where my friend listed what happened item by item. The pet that got service just had surgery a few months ago and neck part should be handled with care. Even if there maybe misunderstanding, owner should have communicated better with customer.
Business owner Michelle , disgusting with her mouth and how she treats customers . My cockapoo has been going there for years, Never once had an issue , hes dormed there for a time and always loved it there . Until yesterday, when they decided to charge me extra because he kept peeing . Now we all know animals will be animals and sometimes we can not control their behavior , however it was not the what they wanted to charge me it was how they approached me on it . Could not believe my ears, yelling at me, to get me to understand. Then when the owner comes out to handle the situation she was actually bashing me and getting ready for a full blown fight, calling me fat and cursing. Anyone with common sense , could see that this is not how you treat a customer who just asks a question as to why she is being charged when they are CONSTANTLY spending their hard earned money at this business . So i suggest Michelle rethink how she will aproach the next customer on this topic , because she might get one that wont take it so lighlty.
Took my small dog to this boutique for a grooming and when he was picked up he had an open wound on his face. In my opinion, the manager was not helpful but no one is claiming responsibility at luxury pet spa....Beware out there..In my opinion it is better to be on the safe side and go to a large chain which is what I did before and dont know why I didnt do it this time, their prices are comparable to the big chains like petsmart so why not pay for the peace of mind for a major co. who wont give you the run around.....lesson learned, never deal with them again..

2022-09-01I really trust this groomer. They are all very friendly and professional. I have been here with my dogs before and although a few dollars more that my last groomer. It is so worth it. My dog does not come back terrified and my kids love how our dogs look.Very professional and truly a very well qualified and experienced groomer.

2021-11-17They did a great job on my dog, Cooper. Very professional! I absolutely loved that they sent reminder messages and were able to squeeze us in last minute when another groomer (not Luxury Spa) promised they would shave him and then said it wasnt scheduled when we got there, even though I confirmed it multiple times over the phone. Luxury spa fit us in within the next two days. I am extremely pleased that he not only got great treatment, considering my dog can be a psychopath at times and a bit much to anyone meeting him for the first time, but he also got groomed right in time for Thanksgiving when other groomers were booked for the next month. I was recommended here by a friend and they did not disappoint. They were a little on the pricier side based on what Im used to paying, but with my dogs energy level and personality, as well as everything they did, it was worth every penny! Thank you, Luxury Spa!!!

2022-03-01I had taken my dog to Michelle for many years. I started with my former dog when she worked at Crawford hospital. We lost touch then a few years later I found her again by referral from a close friend of mine. Upon check out.....Michelle spoke to me from her table and informed me that a lump was found on Abbys neck and that I should take her to the vet soon. I would have been offended but I saw her do this with everyone. When it was my turn to pay I could see that she is pregnant so I assumed she has to be off her feet. She seems to have grown as a groomer because I witnessed her give a few clients lots of information that I didnt even know and Ive had dogs all my life.Fast forward....when Abby was seen by the vet her lump was biopsied and found to be cancerous. Due to the fact that it was caught in time....treatment will save her life! I had to thank the staff publicly especially Michelle. We will definitely be back when Abby recovers. Thank you all so much!

2022-05-15I called and specifically asked if they can give my Akita poodle a little trim bc his hair was covering his eyes and he can’t see. They said they had time and we made an appointment for 1230 - we walked in and they said they didn’t have time to give him a trim?? Only a bath??? I told them a few times on the phone what breed he is so idk what the confusion was about that. I’ve never in my life had to deal with something like this before. I honestly don’t even see the point of me even making an appointment just for them to say “oh we don’t have time to give him a haircut”. They weren’t accommodating at all- absolute waste of time. Would not recommend this place.

2022-08-29In the 20 + years Ive lived in the area Ive tried several other groomers. I consider myself to be very picky about the businesses I return to. Other places and groomers just didnt cut it for one reason or another and I kept seeking a groomer I could trust with my dog and who followed my instructions for how I wanted my dog groomed. Ive been a steady customer for about 7 years now and have only found Michelle to be competent and reliable. I am very happy with the service at Luxury Pet Spa and Ive referred many friends to Michelle and her staff.

2022-01-03This spot asked for my feedback and didnt like what I had written about their service. They said it wouldve been nice if I wrote about the service they provided for my pet. Once I wrote back, they deleted/blocked me in advance. So, here Im going to write what had happened! I WANT the owner to see this and if the same lady who worked on my pet is the owner, thats just sad on your establishment.The fact that you guys took my pet in since it was around Christmas time and other spots were booked, I think I thanked enough but the lady over the phone NEVER mentioned that we were being squeezed in or anything. She seemed normal when she booked us. My kitten was a stray kitten and needed a good wash with his nails cut. Thats all that had mattered to us. However, the nails were not cut properly. My husband and I were both surprised at your job. I asked the lady in the front about how much everything will come out to be but she kept saying that it depends on the pets behavior. You guys charge based on how much of a fuss a pet gives you? Thats the first scam alert! Next, the pet brochure on taking pictures were totally different than what you guys snapped on your phone camera. Also, if you guys were too busy, it was okay to let the customers know that you guys are busy instead of scamming them with the brochure pictures and snapping regular cam pics? You didnt do me great by taking in my pet or agreeing to taking his pictures with his clothes on/off. I had no other spots to go and I was taken advantage of! Not only that, when I went to pick up my kitten, the lady is talking sh*t about me and my kitten while Im right there! Great job on your establishment!

2022-02-08First and last time customer.... PLEASE BELIEVE THE 1 STAR REVIEWS. I wish I did, I brought my dog in for the first time, and it was not the experience I expected. When I saw my dog who by the way is a gentile 2 year old 16 lb King Charles Cavalier. When I dropped my dog off I was immediately introduced to this establishment by two co workers loudly complaining about other dogs. It was almost as if I wasnt in their presence and extremely uncomfortable. But I figured ok people have bad days and let it go.When I got home I first noticed her nails were not cut at all, not even an attempt. I also noticed an additional charge for aggressive behavior please read other 1 star reviews for the same made up issue. I decided to call and ask why they neglected to do it ad inquire about the charges. I was immediately met with an overly rude and aggressive owner who did not care to hear my question. Instead she went on the all out attack on me which I couldnt for the life of me figure out. I was a new client looking for a new groomer because the mobile groomers are very expensive. Long story short the conversation went down hill from there. I have an appt scheduled with the vet to cut her nails down. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE 1 STAR REVIEWS AND FIND ANOTHER GROOMER. THEY ARE NOT DOG PEOPLE AND ARE AGGRESSIVE..... If they are that way with their clients how do you think they treat your dog????
