Khalil was incredible! Fixed my bike, got a lock AND a helmet all for well under a 100$. He was super quick and very efficient. Didn’t even have to wait two hours. Also fixed my brakes free of charge. If you have anything, ANYTHING wrong with your bike you have to go here!
Amazing serviceI brought a bike in to be fixed (stripped gears, strange sounds) and within 2 hours got a call back that the job was done! The owner is eager to please and delivers great service in a timely manner. The cost seemed very reasonable and I was very happy not to miss a day of biking.
The owner is superfriendly, professional and a very nice man. I went to the bike store to have him fix 2 bikes for my sons. He is patient takes his time and takes his craft as bicycle salesperson and repair person seriously. I would definitely go back and patronize his small business.
This no nonsense-no frills bike repair is just what you need to get in and get out. Khalil is the owner, he is old school and super professional. This is not your typical cutsie hipster bike shop. Tuned 2 bikes at an incredibly low price on a Sunday 3pm. Will definitely return.
I took my sons bike to this shop today (which I found on Google) to get it working right. The gears were all misaligned, rear tire worn out and brakes did not work well at all. Bike is only two years old but I was ready to toss it because I felt it was unsafe for my son to use. I left it there thinking it will take a day and serious cash to fix. I was very wrong. A couple of hours later the technician called me up and said bike is ready. He replaced the tire and tuned up the gears, brakes and really the entire bike. Bike now rides better than when I bought it. My son loves his old bike like its a new bike. Price was amazing too...way under $100. Couldnt believe the price for all the fine work done. A true craftsman. This man is old school honest and humble and very very reasonable with his prices. Very rare to find a shop like this nowadays. Highly recommend!! Thank you Habibi!
This bike shop is amazing. I went to another one first and they wouldnt fix my flat tire for two weeks. So i called Lynbrook bycicles and he fixed my bike in half an hour. I left him discretion to fix other things and he just fixed what was necessary and gave me an awesome price. A true pleasure, will definitely come back and highly recommend
I was looking for a shop to buy a new bike but they had no new bikes to sell, but they do have a good amount of used bikes and they specialize in repairing bikes. I met an older man in the shop, not sure if he is the owner but he was willing to answer questions and friendly. Also saw him at work, and appears he knows what he knows his craft pretty well.
During this quarantine I decided to help clean out my moms garage and discovered my old bike from years ago. I googled bike shops near me and this was right in my neighborhood. I brought it in and Khalil service was spectacular. He looked it over and told me what the bike needed and quoted an incredible price to get it back up and running. He was so nice and knowledgeable!! I had the bike back the very next day ready for the road. Iv been riding every nice day since! I’m thankful Khalil was able to repair my bike and lift my spirts. He is wonderful!!! Highly recommend his shop to all!!!
This is my second time at this bike store. First time, bought a bike for my son and now I came back to service it. Both times had a great experience. The owner is amazing. When we bought the bike, he gave excellent advice on which bike to buy. The prices are beyond fair and workmanship is excellent. The place looks small but what’s inside is not. Good inventory on bikes and excellent labor.10/6/18: I have to post again. I am truly impressed with the owner of this shop. Today I went back and bought another bike for my son. He now needed an adult bike. The owner was not pushy and showed us bikes that were reasonably priced. He treated us beyond fairly, provided necessary information and was extremely attentive. People like him are rare, especially business people like him are hard to find. He is a gem. There is no other bicycle place I would go if I needed another bike or needed one of my bikes serviced.9/2021: Had to fix my sons bike. This owner had the bike fixed under an hour and so reasonably priced. Happy to have found this place. It continues to be a gem.
Very pleasant owner. I was there on Saturday 07/11 to get my bike repaired. The wait wasnt long. The owner was super NICE. Couldnt have met anyone friendlier. He showed me what was wrong with the bike, fixed it, changed the pedals and oiled the chains - everything. I didnt even notice the front brake was broken (I bought a used bike) so he showed me and didnt try to coerce me to fix anything and his prices were FAIR. I wish I knew of this place sooner. I will always get my bikes repaired here.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible service, if service is what you can call it...I enter the shop around 12:30-12:40 on 6/24/2020 (Wednesday)I explain to the shop owner my bikes problem; pedal is skipping/jumping when increasing pressure on the pedal and changing the speed, gears and chains make a rattling noise, and brakes dont work very well. The store owner proceeds to unintelligibly tell me something, and tell me to ride the bike at a lower speed and not pedal as hard. Now, regarding the unintelligible part, given the current situation with Covid-19 and having to wear a mask, it is completely understandable as to why I could not hear the store owner properly. However, to tell me that I cannot ride my bike at a certain speed or change my gears, is not only NOT solving my problem, but is the equivalent of telling a car owner that they cannot put the pedal to the metal with their car. In essence I cannot use the full potential of my bike. But the fact that my issues were not solved is not my main gripe with this establishment. Rather, the fact that as a new bike owner, as someone who is eager to learn about my bike, as someone who enjoys biking (even though Ive been doing it for a short while), I was basically waved off like I was not worth the store owners time. This is completely unacceptable behavior. I dont know if the store owner was angry or having a bad day, but to put off a customer, that is eager to get back to their biking, like they are nothing, seems to me as bad business practice.I dont know if my bike will be fixed now and I probably will have to return it to where I bought it from, which is a crying shame.
This gentleman is a true blessing in our community. He gives maximum care, attention, workmanship and passion in his craft. He is kind and his work is impeccable. He made me feel like a child getting her very first bike when he was finished with my Trek. Thank you so very much. #LynbrookBicycles
Just had my bike fixed. It needed a tune up and one of my brakes was broken. Tested the bike today and it feels like a new bike! When I got it back it looked like it had been waxed as the paint seemed a lot brighter. Then riding it today both brakes worked very well. Great bike shop. Fast service and bike works better than ever.
Needs your bike fixed? He’s the guy. I went to 3 other places before I found this place and it was over $300 for each bike to fix with recommendations and 3 week wait. Got both my bikes fixed for way less and 1 day turn around. He’ll tell you what the bike needs and your done, no up selling.
What a lovely man! The first thing I noticed when I arrived at Mr. Ks shop was how patient and attentive he was with his customers.I had broken many of the spokes on my wheelchair, so many that I was using second-hand wheels that really didnt fit my chair. It was tough going.Three other bicycle shops couldnt find the right size, and were charging up to $2.50 per spoke (and that was WITHOUT installation). Once I saved what I thought was enough money, I called Lynbrook Bicycles, The gentleman said to bring him the wheels and he would see what he could do.Well, he did plenty! My wheels are better than new, and I have a newfound freedom - my dog and I finally got in a nice long walk this afternoon. Mr. Ks prices are better than reasonable, but its his personality that makes you want to return again and again. He is a gentle soul, confident in his work and he cares about his customers. He told me if I ever had a problem with my wheels again to bring them back to him. His price was so low that I had money left over, even after adding the cost of tires and tubes.Lynbrook Bicycle is a treasure and an asset to Long Island, and it is all because of Mr. K.
This place is a real find. Its great getting service from a seasoned pro who knows exactly what hes doing, and does it well. Khalils business card reads Quality, Less Money, Fast Service - and that says it all.I brought my bike in for a new tire and pedals and Khalil took care of me right away, at a much lower price than similar services cost elsewhere.I cant recommend him enough.
I needed to get a new tire and a tuneup for my folding bike. I googled a few places and came across this one. It had pretty good reviews, so I gave it a shot. I will never return. When I walked up to the shop with my folding bike at about 11:55 on Aug 31, there were 3 people inside—the shop’s owner, a middle aged woman, and her adolescent son. I opened the door and stood there for a moment, hoping to get the owner’s attention. I said aloud to myself “I want to social distance so I won’t go in.” The owner looked up and said “Don’t you see there’s no room in here? Wait outside!” I resented the tone he took with me and said “Actually I won’t wait at all. I’ll go someplace else.”He mumbled something else and my friend responded that he didn’t have to speak to us so dismissively. The owner then yelled for us to “go back where we came from” and threatened to call the police. He appeared to encourage the woman inside to do the same. The two of them began shouting at us.We are both African American. I will never go back. I drove further down Merrick to the Valley Stream Bicycle Center. The gentleman who spoke to me was EXTREMELY PLEASANT and I will am looking forward to doing business with him in the future.
Just had a wonderful experience at a bicycle shop that I feel compelled to share. Walked into Lynbrook bicycles with my daughters flat tire for the first time out of convenience. A seasoned gentleman greeted me when I came in and quietly fixed my tire while we spoke. I believe he could have done the job blind folded. His kind demeanor and expert service are seldom seen today. Best service ever, my highest recommendation.
Very small store I was skeptical at first, but he had great bikes for really good prices. He is a really nice guy and offers free maintenance with every bike you buy, other than tube replacements. Best bike shop around here most of them will rip you off. The man who owns this shop is an honest man. I highly recommend this place, just be aware its tiny, but give it a try i promise you WONT forget it!
The shop is small, but carries a wide variety of different bicycles. The owner immediately stopped what he was doing when I got there and helped me to select a bike that would work for me (I have little knowledge of bikes). He took his time to answer all my questions and was very polite and helpful. He told me to come back anytime for maintenance free of charge, excluding only flat tires. The reason I chose to go to him was due to all the great reviews that he has and I have to say that they are all well earned. I would recommend this shop to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
Purchased a bicycle for my daughter’s 10th Birthday today from Lynbrook Bicycles. The owner is an absolute sweetheart! Charming, attentive, strong and able. He gave us a fair price and threw in a gift for my daughter! So glad I read the reviews and tried the place out for myself! A wonderful experience with a lovely proprietor! Will definitely be back when it’s time to get a bike for me!
This bike store is the best!! Prices are great and the owner is extremely nice and knowledgable. Went in today on my daughters birthday and he even gave her a free bell for her new bike. I have already bought 2 bikes from here for my kids and they love their bikes. I highly recommend going to this bike store.
Quick and Cheap! Enough said. This store has exceptional prices for their services, as previously mentioned by several reviewers. It was due to the reviews Ive read, that I came here in the first place... so thank you all! He assembled an in the box bicycle that I received by mail - as well as tuned it up, of course (adjusting derailleur, brakes etc.) - for a very low fee. Furthermore, to my surprise, my bike was ready within one day! Thats right! Quick and cheap!
We went to Mr. K. after making the mistake of shopping at Target for bikes. When we came to Mr. K., he helped us pick out the perfect bikes for our kids, under our anticipated budget, and even helped load them in the back of our car himself. A true gentleman and professional, we cannot recommend his business highly enough!
Its always a pleasure to step into this humble shop. I cant praise the owner enough; he is knowledgeable, fair, and abundantly helpful. You simply cannot beat his prices or service. He will never talk down to you or try to upsell you like other bike shops will, and hell often fix whatever you need right on the spot. Hes given me great advice on maintenance too. Ill never bring my bike anywhere else! This place is truly a local treasure.
I am so pleased with the work the owner did on my daughters bike,it wasnt used for a long time. When I brought it in he said look at it now you wont recognize it when you pick it up,and he was right. Beautiful! He really did a great job, and the price was unbelievable
Its a small store but you get that small store 1 to 1 service. The owner is a good guy that knows what hes doing & will either set you up with a great bike or make your existing bike good as new. Im not a guy that writes reviews for every little thing I but but a local guy like Lynbrook Bicycles should receive all the business he can handle. I will definitely go back. He was even open on July 4th
The gentleman was just that! I could see he was alone and busy in the cramped and stocked shop, working on a repair. He immediately stopped what he was doing and fixed 2 issues with my bike within minutes! He was not only accommodating but affordable and mostly a kind man. I have already referred several friends. What a gem of a find!
Was going to go to a bike shop closer to me, but after reading the reviews below decided to check this shop out. I am happy I went here, the owner is so nice and even though I came in for only one thing he made sure all other parts of the bike were working free of charge. He told me he has been in business for 30 years, and it shows. Highly recommended!
This place is awesome!! I will never bring my bike to anyone else ever. The shopkeeper was nice, friendly, dedicated and offered cheap prices. I brought in an old peugot (spelling?) that needed lots of work. Two new tires, two new tubes, a clean-up and a tune up - all for $85. He also offered some extra advice and affixed a lock and chain apparatus to the bike for free.I am COMPLETELY satisfied with my experience.
What an amazing experience! I came here to tune up two bikes and the owner was such a sweet soul. I will be back for tune ups and parts. There is a rrajor why hes been here for 33 years. When I was leaving anither customer came in. He had a bike that his father bought for him when he was a kid and he was getting it tuned up for his son.
The single BEST small bicycle shop on Long Island, and probably the best in the United States. Quick, inexpensive, and durable repair service; attentive, knowledgeable, and honest sales; I see no reason to go elsewhere for your cycling needs. Having purchased a new bicycle, and having service done on other bicycles owned by my family, I am confident in the service, value and warranty offered by Lynbrook Bicycles.
Im not the type of person to really leave reviews for places but this time around praise is due. I want to start of by saying thanks to the owner for staying open late and waiting for me. The store was supposed to close at 6pm. He waited until 6:30 for me and even took the time to put together my Sons new bike. I must say that the guy really knows his trade because it took less than half an hour to put the bike together and tune it. It was like watching an artist create his artwork in front of you. I found this spot on google along with other local stores in the area. I called the Rockville Centre Bike store and they guy quoted me $80.00 for the same service meanwhile I was charged $30.00 at Lynbrook Bicycles. It would be a safe bet to say that the service I would have gotten from the Rockville Centre Bike store would havent even compared to the service I received today. The guy even sized the seat and handle bars for my son while we were there. He even took the time to mention some bike riding safety tips to my son. When everything was said and done I thanked the owner for everything and mentioned on my way out that I would definitely leave him a google review. He smiled and gave me a thumbs up. Its hard to find a business like this nowadays. Im happy that such a place still exists and that there are still some genuine local business owners out there that provide excellent service and dont try to charge you and arm and a leg for something. You better believe that I will be returning to this store for all my Bicycle needs for years to come. Thanks you!
I have another bike shop (that will remain unnamed) 5 minutes walking distance from my house, but Ill always walk the extra 20 minutes to get to Lynbrook Bicycles. The owner is very fair, efficient, and precise. Businesses like him are increasingly rare. My family will always go there as long as hes open.
If I could I would give them a zero such a rude guy and he was screaming at me and my grandpa said he has card not cash and he said you guys are the worst he was extremely rude never going to this guy again. And I called them asking if I can come in and they said yes and then I went and he’s like sorry were closed but I still got my bike fixed and on the phone I told him I’m coming
I first visited the Lynbrook Bicycles shop quite a few years ago and never wanted to go elsewhere after my initial visit. Had wheels, pedals, chains and even a FIX conversion done. This gentleman of a shopkeeper is a true gem in this day and age. You will not find better service or price from a bike shop anywhere else.
Let me first begin by saying, Wow. Truly have never met a man like this. This man never cheats, steals or scams. He always gives you a fair price and will sometimes even undercharge you. Often I see people give him extra to compensate, as do I. Khalil will have my business for as long as he continues to work.

2021-07-28I brought two bikes to get repaired. The owner did a great job on both and didn’t rip me off. He takes pride in his work and knows his stuff. I’m glad I found this place! One bike was repaired on the spot and the other he kept overnight and was ready the next day. He cleaned off all the rust from the chain and replaced a piece that had come off. I had both my bikes ready in less than 24 hours, and all for a reasonable price—can’t beat that!

2022-07-09Brought an old bike in for new tires and when I returned for pick up, he was just about finished and checked the brakes to make sure the old bike was in good condition to ride. After checking he said I needed a new rear brake cable. I said that was fine, and after watching him install it, he told me there was no charge! I could tell he really enjoys his craft and takes pride in his work. Highly recommend.

2022-05-26Great service by Khalil at a great price. He threw in a bunch of much needed fixes (new seat post, reflectors) with the spring tune up at no charge on 4 bikes. Hes a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. I will definitely go here again.

2022-06-12A new staple in my routine whenever I need help with my bike. I walked in and was immediately helped by the owner- he fixed my popped tire within 10 minutes. SO GLAD we found this hidden treasure. I will be back and will recommend to friends and family in the area. Amazing experience!

2022-04-24The owner is a real throwback gentleman! Polite, charming, knows his bike business and charges a very reasonable price. Hell drop whatever hes doing to fix even the most basic of problem. Terrific.

2021-06-20Are you kidding me? Just $20 to install two wheels (I provided) and adjust the brakes? Yup...thats it (although I paid him $25 and he was most grateful). Dont let the clutter or the age turn you away. I know this same service would cost $75 at the newer, grease free shops staffed by 20 somethings.Khalil is detail oriented, makes all the small adjustments, checks his work, and delivers a great service to the community. Just like he as been doing for 35 years in Lynbrook and another 35 before that as a master tradesman for another bike shop. This place has to be the best kept bicycle service secret on Long Island. Give Khalil a call next time you need service.

2021-12-26Such a sweet guy and very efficient at fixing our bikes over the years. He also never charges a high price for various issues we’ve had… always VERY reasonable rates. Would highly recommend coming here!!

2022-03-06Very small shop in Lynbrook. The man inside knows his bikes, and charges very little for his services. If you own department store bikes, he will take care of them no problem. I prob wouldnt go there if you own a high end bicycle as most of the parts there are dedicated to the main stream department store bikes.

2021-08-04Fair pricing, and great work! owner was respectful, friendly and honest. Took 2 bikes there 1 for a tune up, 1 to change tires. The bike with the tune up rides great, and my son loves his new wheels!!! Both bikes were done the next day (I dropped them off late the day before). Highly recommend this place !!!
