Do NOT do business with this company!!! They take advantage of the disabled and have extremely poor customer service. For Christmas my dad wanted some auto parts so I assisted my disabled mother in placing the order. Within a few days of placing the order we found out my sister had already bought the same auto parts. I immediately called Ecklers Industries to cancel the order. Unfortunately half the order had already shipped. The woman I spoke to in the sales department guaranteed that my mother would not be charged the $16 in shipping or for the return and that she was canceling the order and that she could just return the item. Once the item arrived, we called the company to let them know the item had been received and that we would be mailing it back. To our surprise, there was no return shipping label. So I then called the company to get resolution because my mother cant afford $16 in shipping costs plus $14.20 in shipping cost to return the product. When I called, the customer service representative was extremely snarky when I explained what we had been told about shipping. She said she would have to review the phone call and that the former representative shouldnt have advised us that my mother wouldnt be responsible for shipping. So, she then proceeded to put me on hold for 45 minutes while they supposedly pulled the call. She finally came back online and said her manager was reviewing the call and would call me back and that if we were promised that we werent responsible for shipping then my mother would be reimbursed. Considering that was exactly what was said, I had full confidence that my mother would be reimbursed. I was then called back by Kelly and she left me a message telling me that none of this was the companies fault and they wouldnt be reimbursing anything. She never even mentioned listening to the phone call where we were promised free shipping. She proceeded to say if you have further questions call back and anyone can help you. Considering the matter is not at a resolution, I wouldve thought I would be able to speak to her about this matter. No such luck. I called back and the representative said I couldnt talk to this manager or any manager. Its pretty sad that when someone that is disabled like my mother makes an error and then is promised something a company like this doesnt follow through on there promises. Now my mother is out almost $30 and she is on a fixed income. I also want to add, when we placed this order, we placed it with Macs Auto Parts but when we received emails they have been from Ecklers Industries. My dad places orders with Macs all the time. He spends plenty of money and they are willing to lose a valued customer over $30 in shipping costs. Talk about Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Please, please be aware before you order from this company.I do want to note I received the following response to the above posted review:In this business we are willing to take the hits such as these, as there are times that we simply cannot give the customer what they want.I am sorry that you are not happy with the final decision but that will not change the decision.The financial responsibility does not necessarily have to be your mothers, the different carriers that are available to return the parts will accept payment from you or your sister as well, so that your disabled mother would not have to pay the shipping back. WORST COMPANY EVER DEALT WITH. I PLACED A PHONE ORDER, THEY PUT AUTHORIZATION CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD, THEN CANCELLED THE ORDER DUE TO NO STOCK, AND DIDNT BOTHER TO EVEN CALL OR EMAIL ME TO LET ME KNOW. THEN THEY LEFT THESE PENDING CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD, INSTEAD OF CANCELLING THEM. THE CREDIT CARD FINALLY REMOVED THEM AFTER 15 DAYS. I ordered parts online for in store pick up. Everything I ordered was exactly as ordered, pick up was seamless and the staff was very pleasant to deal with at the store. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that the online ordering which is handle through Eklers autoparts is very clumsy and communication through them regarding the order process was poor. I had to contact them to find out that one part was going to be delayed for a couple weeks, not a problem just the communication was poor from an online perspective. the store experience was perfect.
I am restoring my 1951 Mercury, and have made 3 large orders for various parts from this company. I made 2 orders online, both of which were shipped quickly, and the parts were correct for my car. I did notice, however, that 2 of them items were being shipped directly from the manufacturer which took a few weeks. It didnt bother me since I ordered the parts well ahead of time before I actually needed them.My last order was on the phone, and the customer service rep took her time with me. I wasnt sure about certain things I needed, but she asked other car people at her office and they steered me in the right direction. I converted my car from 6V Pos to 12V Neg ground, and am replacing ALL of the wiring with OEM style wires, and I wasnt sure if a later year replacement would work (it did).The shipping was fast. Ordered on Monday morning, and the parts came in on Friday. I think thats reasonable. I also find their prices reasonable to other competitors. I havent had to return anything, and I havent asked about price matching. BUT overall I am pleased with them. I will update again since I have ordered more parts...
Purchased a new am radio for my 65 Mustang, order was placed through Macs catalogue, item was shipped from Ecklers in Florida picked up the radio at Macs after installing the unit it was not operating also a negative bench test, at my cost i returned it to Florida. I was refunded only 75% of total cost and after a 1 1/2 waiting Phone call to Florida i was told it was due to a restocking fee. Canadian customers be advised try to order from Mustang dealer at the mustangdepot.ca
Ordered a part on a Saturday. After no shipping info after 5 days, I inquired about the status. Was not shipped yet, and was on Backorder for at least another month. Wow, that may be info I need to know. Cancelled order and purchased elsewhere. Guess I should have looked at review rating first. Lesson learned.
Unable to track or cancel my order now 20 days out. Tried to call several times and used their online inquiry but long holds and no response from emails? Their message while on hold states outstanding customer service. I think not. I have now been on hold for 36 minutes and counting. There are many other options out there. I suggest using them and avoid Macs & Ecklers. So frustrating!
I ordered a rear suspension for my BMW 3 series, finally I changed the car so I didnt need this suspension. the parts cost me $ 200, I had to pay the return costs around $ 40 with Canada Post. they my only refund 50% of my parts telling me it was the restocking fee !! 50% cost !! it is nonsense . I do not recommend it !! Mac auto leaves, never again!
I have mixed opinions; firstly, they have an unquestionably large selection of Ford and related parts that are of very good quality, the shipping is fast, and if you arent satisfied, they will work hard to make you satisfied. The only real negative I have is the cost of shipping. I live in Canada, about a 3 1/2 hour drive Lockport NewYork, yet all things shipped here are international shipping costs. It would be cheaper if I lived in California, several days drive away, or to drive to Lockport using my own time and gas, then to get things shipped. Its absolutely insane.
Im fairly certain that none of the employees at this company know anything about cars. Ordered a suspension kit which took several weeks to arrive (would have been fine if I was notified it would take that long), kit came with no parts list, no instructions. Asked customer service several times for a parts list. The very vague description on the website is all you will get out of them. Given the options chosen when we ordered, we are pretty sure were missing parts, but even the vendor that makes the kit will not give a parts list, nor instructions beyond a couple drawn pictures with no words. Been asking customer service for help for a couple weeks now and theyve just stopped answering me when I ask for them to contact the vendor for information. Weve tried directly and gotten nowhere.Best advice- only buy simple parts from them, or go somewhere else reputable where the employees actually know something about what theyre selling!
Worst customer service experience ever! I needed help finding the correct spring units for a 1928 Model A and have been waiting for 2 weeks to get a proper response. I got one reply over a week ago from Daniel Jenkins asking for some information. I followed up right away but hes been a ghost. I called in a couple of times and talked to one rep who said that Daniel didnt forget about you and hes still researching. Ok, can he at least reply to my email and tell me that himself? At this point, Ive sent 5 follow up emails and have not received one response from him or anyone else. This was a potential order of $1K plus and apparently they are not interested. What else can a guy do, but leave this review and move on to their competitors. So unfortunate, but looking at the other negative reviews, maybe we dodged a bullet. My advice = look elsewhere!
I have ordered twice from here for my 1953 mercury, and both times I had something that was back ordered and didnt find out until my shipping email was sent. They should tell you when you put it in your online cart. Today I called about another back ordered part and they said they need to charge me another $18 because I didnt pay for the part even though I have receipts that said otherwise and I told the guy I was mad because they dont notify a person about a backorder until its to late, he said since it was an online order they have no way to notify a person unless they make a phone order. One of the parts I did get was for the wrong year even though I ordered the right one for my year car, I didnt send it back though because they are to much of a pain in the ass to deal with. I highly recommend searching around alittle more for parts elsewhere, if I could negative star them I would. The catalogs I get from them anymore are properly filed in the bottom of the garbage can when received
Mac auto parts sent me two left visors for my Galaxie. I returned one of them and they sent out a right side no problem. I installed them this spring low and behold they did not match side to side. I called customer service and they informed me you only have 60 days to return an item so they cannot help me. Ecklers company will get nine of my business ever again they care nothing about customer satisfaction. they have ruined both Mac and Deerborn Classics just more corporate greed
They had made a mistake on an order not filling it out completely. I called them on it and they gave no problems sending the part I had not received. Then a part on a separate order was bad so they replaced it with a new one without any hassle. These are the only reasons why I cant justify a five star rating. Customer service is important to me and I felt well taken care of. I see quite a few one star ratings based on customer service. These may have helped change their customer service culture.Because from my experience with them. I appreciated feeling like they wanted me to be happy with my experience with them.
Part descriptions on-line and in catalog have no details, and pictures are poor. Customer service reps have no additional info. Ive ordered parts here and have not been satisfied with what I received. Shipping is expensive (and slow) compared to other vendors who offer free shipping when buying $100 or more.
Price match guarantee is ad misrepresentation. Found a legitimate lower price from a reputable company which they would not match. I agreed to negotiate a mid way price, which is not a price match guarantee. Did not honor a separate part 15% discounted part price. Took 8 emails to get this unsatisfactorily resolved with a supervisor and then was given a PayPal refund that was $10 shorted from what was agreed to. Customer service person was inept. Supervisor agreed their price match policy is flawed - but, oh well. Spent 10 days trying to get all this resolved - ridiculous on a $180 part order. And then was shorted on the refund amount. I thought Ecklers was better than this.
Several months ago I responded to their internet ad for a weatherstripping kit number 60-80246-1 that was on sale. They were out of this kit and in the new catalog, just received, list it at temporary discontinued. They would not honor the sales price if they eventually received a new shipment, which they still have not. Why put the kit in a new catalog if they know they still have no kits. I have purchased many items in the past and now have reservations about ever purchasing from them again.
So i have bought this product and many others from macs and well product is good however shipping is very poor in prices. only 2nd day air is available and yet i dont recieve it until 4 days later but still get way over charged. i have ordered thousands of dollars worth and have reciepts and told them about shipping and their response, oh well sorry thats all we offer. but get this i ship something back and they slow boat it? is this good customer service ? recently just ordered 14 dollars worth of stuff that would literally fit in an envelope. got charged 20 something in shipping for again only 2 day and get it 4 days later. so now i use other people instead of them because they dont seem to care
Slow shippingIll start with my disappointment. I called on Tuesday 5/23/17 & spoke to a Debbie. She said the part was in stock & would be shipped the next day 5/24 from Florida with 2-3 day shipping. With the holiday coming that weekend I had hoped it would have arrived by Friday 5/26 or by Tuesday the 30th due to the holiday. The item was not shipped until Tuesday the 30th which I wasnt happy about. It did arrive in 2 days & the price was comparable with other places online. I will consider ordering from them in the future but will be very skeptical withtheir times for shipping.After I submitted my review through their survey (which they sent me an email asking for me to do the survey), I received this response.....Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Ordered a hood ornament the 2nd week of January 2018 was told it was back ordered till February 15th when that date rolled around was told it would be march15th when I called on march 20th was told they were at the facility an they had to be stocked before they can be shipped was told 3 business days it would ship to me. Called back on the 26th was told they never told me they had arrived didn’t know what I was talking about jessica the manager told me the supplier didn’t like the way they looked an sent them back to be redone she was supposed to call them an contact me about an arrival date it’s now April 18th have heard nothing at all Mac’s auto or Eclars whoever they choose to call their selves Sucks their customer service Sucks their shipping prices Suck 13.00 to ship 5 nylon retaining clips for my ornament I’ve not recieved yet. If you haven’t had a bad experience with these morons you haven’t done enough buisness with them your times coming no stars here
Macs is the pits. I had good experiences with them 15 years ago, but they have totally gone downhill. I ordered $350 worth of parts from them. Unbeknownst to me, they turned the order over to an outfit in Florida called Ecker Industries, which has worse customer reviews and a worse Better Business Bureau ratings than Macs. The parts have not arrived. Eckers has given me two DIFFERENT tracking numbers for the same package, and neither is valid. Sayonara, you jerks. Its Birdnest in Oregon and Larrys Thunderbirds in California from here on out.
Placed order for wrong part on July 27,15 received it on Aug. 12th. returned it on Aug. 13th.,15. put i note to exchange part for the right one. price the same so no other charges apply. Called customer service they said no problem and would email me with new order # and a ship date. No one called. I called them three tines and hey said prat still being processed. Called today Aug. 24th. and was told credit was issued for my return and I needed to reorder. BS I am now giving all my orders to Snyders.Customer service a Macs SUCKS
I have ordered a few parts from Macs and hope to order many more. I have had no trouble with customer service at all, i have asked a ton of questions about tons of parts and each one was a different person and they all worked really hard to make sure i was getting the right part, to the best of there knowledge. As of now i will continue to shop here.
I had ordered some floor pans from them and had them drop shipped to this location since shipping to me would have costed 200$ (plus duties and whatnot). so i went down there to pick them up, and according to their computer it had somehow both arrived and not arrived.. either way, it was never actually even shipped out. but, they gave me $100 in gift cards (which i promptly spent because i was there). the lady there called in and made sure the supplier would send it on the next truck out, macs paid for the shipping and any duties.huge thanks to Jack and Megan for dealing with me and getting this sorted out!
I ordered a lot of parts for my 1969 torino from this co , When they send you the wrong part for the car they simply say its the right part. Also returning a defective part under warranty ,They sent the wrong part after several e mails and calls I was told to send the parts back for a refund I did now they want me to return the money for the parts and have blocked my orders to them ....I wont being business with them in the future , I suggest any one to stop ordering from this co very BAD
Three months ago, (March 2017) I placed an order for three items from Macs. Two were delivered. One was on back order. No big deal. I waited a month, hadnt heard anything so I called Macs. Apparently they dont have much of a computerized system because the clerk kept me on hold for at least 20 minutes. I was then told that the part would be in on April 19. April came and went, and once again no courtesy em or contact from Macs. I called about the part again on May 5. Once again, I was kept on hold for approximately a half hour, and I am not exaggerating. I was then told that the part was scheduled to come in mid-May. I proceeded to cancel the order. Three full months. Two long, irritating phone calls. Add, not even a courtesy em or contact letting me know time frames kept being lengthened. Is this the business model that you want to deal with.
Absolutely worst customer service of any company I have bought anything from in the last 5 years.The story is just too long and convoluted for me to tell.Basically every promise broken - never get the calls back in assured will come, even by the supervisors - new customer representative everytime with no idea of longstanding issue and different answer every time. So so so frustrated.I’ve lost over a month of my car build to these guys. Can’t belive I spent $5000 with them in last 12 months.I strongly suggest you find an alternative company to order from to avoid the nightmare I’ve had.Terrible company !!!
I had a part come broken. It looked like it was broken before they even shipped it because there was no damage to the box. I called and let them know and they said since i ordered it through ebay i would have to submit a return request through ebay. No problem so i do that and they take a few days to respond to the return request take days to answer my messages. First and last time i order from MACs. BUYER BEWARE!!!
Years ago, we would drive to macs, get model T parts and talk to the techs if you needed help. All that is gone. This company is run out of florida. They have no inventory in lockport. I ordered tires and tubes 2 weeks ago and went through 3 different customer service reps and the order still got screwed up. I had to have a T ready for a parade and now my customer cant use the car. Do not use these guys, go to langs. By the way, the phone system is terrible- you cant talk to lockport and the wait time is forever. The only reason they have 1 star is because I cant post on 0 stars.
Called to place my first order with them but they ultimately drove me to another company. Where else does a discount that is in effect from Dec 6-8 end at midnight on the 7th? Why still have it on the website on the 8th? Called in to find out and no accommodation made to get a happy new customer for 10%. Dont tell me that what Im staring at on a screen is not there. Id rate a zero if I could.
Ive been buying parts for a 54 Ford and a 57 F250 from Macs for over 15 years and have never had any problems- nearly everything Ive needed has been in stock, competitively priced and shipped quickly. I also buy from Dennis Carpenter, Speedway, and Summit and Macs is right there with them.
I wouldnt even leave a star...but I have to....macs screws you over on that too....great parts terrible people....now they do have have good sales people. Talked to first today...debbie....they need to give her a raise..all the others sell..sell...sell...what ever lie they have to tell you for you to buy...paid for second day air sales man said yeah....you should have it friday... lie!....then said...definitely Saturday..lie!....checked it next day after I bought it....delivery date monday?...called couldnt help me..wouldnt refund my money...s.o.l....hey management..you have my #....hell you have my address come see me....I bet I get my $24 dollars back.
Once again the discount code did not apply to my total. Frustrating to read a message that the code was invalid when I am looking directly at it on the screen. Site is not user friendly. Last time this happened I had to call in and listen to the online noise for way too long. To their credit the discount was finally applied. It shouldnt be this hard to give them several hundred dollars.
Their web site says they have a price guarantee. However if the price you find is less by more than a little they wont honor their guarantee. I had legitimate prices for the same items at their competitors web site. Of course the guarantee on the web site does not give any conditions. This is crooked practice.
Dont ever order from macs parts are sub standard not correct dont fit not checked by macs I have had to modify several parts to get them close to working some I couldnt get to work right down to screws and bolts wrong bad tread to many problems trying to return is a major hassel stuck with several hundred dollars in parts that dont work or fit car I now order from snyders it wont post until you give 1star but should be -1

A VERY ACCOMODATING LADY BY THE NAME OF MICHELLE CONFIRMED THAT THE ITEM WAS IN STOCK AND ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE HER TO WRITE AN ORDER, AND GIVE ME THE # AS I HAD INTENDED TO PICK IT UP WITHIN THE NEXT TWO HOURS WHEN I ARRIVED AT MACS, I WAS GREETED BY ANOTHER PLEASANT LADY AT THE COUNTER. UPON PRESENTING THE ORDER # THAT I HAD BEEN GIVEN OVER THE PHONE......EVERYTHING FELL INTO PLACE LIKE A WELL OILED MACHINE IT WAS LIKE MAKING RESERVATIONS AT A 5 STAR HOTELTHE STOCK PERSON BROUGHT THE ITEM TO THE COUNTER WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES. I ASKED TO SEE THE WINDSHIELD FRAME, AS IT WAS IN A CRATETHE LADY @ THE COUNTER (SUPERVISOR) WAS VERY ACCOMODATING AND OPENED THE CRATE. THE FRAME WAS FOUND TO BE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE CRATE WAS RESEALED, I PAID MY BILL AND THANKED ALL CONCERNED FOR THEIR EXCELLENT SERVICE, ASSURING THEM THAT I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.( THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THE NEW MACS). AT 70 YRS. OF AGE I AM VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT THE WAY I AM TREATED AS A CUSTOMER IN THE EVERY DAY COMMERCIAL WORLD. THE STAFF AT MACS WHO WERE INVOLVED IN MY PURCHASE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I HAVE DIFFICULTY COMPREHENDING ALL THE ON LINE REVIEW PISSING AND MOANING THAT I RECENTLY TOOK THE TIME TO READ. SOME OF WHICH I FEEL IS EXAGGERATED.!!

(So why were they marked in stock on the website?)I asked that it be cancelled. No ProblemHere we are today I have been charged for my order and Im being shipped a load of parts that I have already got elsewhere. I cant afford the $500+ especially for stuff I do not need.TERRIBLE COMPANYThey do not answer phone calls or emails, and when they do the person on the other end cant help or they just refer you to someone else in an endless circle.DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE

2019-06-126 orders doing a major resto on my camaro. only had one order issue and the staff were quick to pick up on it and fix it. I was able to go to the store from Canada and pick my items up to save international shipping costs. Special thanks to Felicia for her customer service well done

2019-08-08We bought a 64 Mercury last year and ordered from them a couple of times.Even though CS is really bad (no response to mails at all), all shipments came quite quick (sometimes only 3 days to Germany) and the parts were OK. Shipment to Europe is not cheap, but airfreight...?

2020-12-04Ive ordered quite a bit through them. The products are of decent quality, however verify what you are buying! I bought door cards that were sold individually. They came as a pair, and the oversized shipping made it impractical to return the second set. DO NOT rely on entering your year make and model to get the correct parts. I have ended up with multiple parts that are wrong because I assumed I was ordering for my car. I was wrong again. Then I ordered transmission cooler lines and I verified with one of their experts that I was ordering the correct part. I received them and they were completely wrong. Their customer service rep turned me over to his manager, Shakina Blow. She has been the most useless customer service professional I have ever worked with. She does not listen, she does not attempt to help in any way, and she is almost impossible to get in touch with. If there was any other place to get parts for my Falcon I would gladly use them over MACs.

2021-09-02Short version- avoid buying from macs at all costs. Google forces to give a star, every 1 star in these reviews, would really be 0 stars if possible. So really they are currently at a 1.3 stars...Long version- Ive used macs for years. It has been a steady decline in customer service and satisfaction over the years, even before ecklers took over. The customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced in any industry, and they choose not to fix it. 10 years plus of issues and they figure a way to get worse every year. At this point, I scratch my head and wonder how a company can do this bad, and yet still be in business. Buyer beware

2021-10-08Nightmare - Find Somewhere Else to Order!Crazy long wait times (as in one-hour). Current order was wrong twice now. Folks are nice and sympathetic, but their warehouse and fulfillment is totally worthless. Could be the new Ecklers touch. Save yourself the hassle and look to see if someone else stocks the item.I also received 13 confirmations as a follow up to my order!

2021-02-08I ordered a part that they said would be to me in 3-7 business days, and also said Id get an email letting me know when it shipped. I got no such email. 10 days after I ordered the part, I contacted them about it, and what I got back was an email back saying, Oh, your product is backordered-- it will be another 3-4 weeks. No offer to refund my money or to cancel the order.Like dont you think that if youre not going to honor YOUR OWN TIMELINE that YOU SET-- you ought to let your customers know?????Youd have just not communicated with me for a month-- and then one day it would just show up at my door? Horrid communication, and you clearly dont value your customers. In this day and age of online ordering... THE WORST. I still dont have my part. Your antique car will be twice the age by the time the parts arrive-- oh, and they wont let you know theyre going to be late.

2021-06-09Never again will I buy a part at this business! The sales staff , most know what you need, and the others? Dont expect customer service to respond to your emails!! I seriously believe they dont exist! I have spent a few thousand dollars here and wish I had shopped around as they have very healthy caring comptition that are priced lower and ship really fast!

2020-10-29I put a substantial order in for over 20 items some been more expensive items like a windscreen, carpet and seat covers all advertised as available on their website. after weeks with no confirmation other than the automated receipt for my purchase i attempt to reach out with no response luckily i used paypal and entered a dispute with them and that was resolved but 4 months later i have received an email saying my order is ready and to send payment through. in this extended period of time i have made other arrangements because im not going to sit around in hope that some poorly organised company may one day be able to fulfill an order for items that are advertised as available on their website. at least they were understanding when i said due to the amount of time i have made other arrangements. I wouldnt bother using this supplier especially if you business that relies on efficiently procuring parts to carry work for customers but i guess if you can afford to have a car sit around for 4 months of uncertainty go right ahead.

2021-01-04Ordered part Sunday evening. Wrong shipping address (my fault). Called first thing Monday morning to get address changed. MACs refused to change the address - said since I bought from them through eBay, to call eBay. Of course eBay couldnt help; MACs is shipping the part, not eBay. Tip: Dont believe any BS on MACs hold recordings about how much you mean to them.
