Very annoyed I walked around the store shopping brought my items up to register the clerk wouldn’t ring me up because I wasn’t wearing a mask, makes zero sense considering the mandate isn’t even a legal mandate. Brought my stuff to another register and was rung up, I don’t get these people and all of America is tired of it
I went shopping for a sweater and shoes and was helped by Vivienne Brown to find the sweater. I went downstairs for the shoes and Vivienne found me downstairs and brought an even better sweater choice. I was impressed and very appreciative of her wonderful customer service, she went above and beyond and I left a very happy and satisfied return customer. Kudos to you Vivienne for you fashion expertise. You are a treasure!!!
Was able to get a great deal on a Cole Hahn winter coat. $300, I paid $89! However, that being said they have a horribly poor selection of plus size coats & even Worse selection of Plus size clothing for everyday or work. This was I. the Bayshore NY store. Better off going on the website, better choices, better deals. I ONLY gave 3 stars because of the coat. Shame on Macys for making this area much smaller in the store.
Bought Chelsea bedroom set on 5/2, received stool on 6/12, rest of the set came on 12/11 after 3 dates changed, all pieces came in boxes except foot board, foot board had scratches and was discolored, either was used return/floor model, at the end of assembly found out all 8 legs of vanity missing, no ETA, didnt want to wait another 7 months, refund was issued and set was left to be picked up on 12/21. 1 star on Macys logo.
I just visited the Macys in Bay Shore. Ive worn Jessics McClintock for 30 years, and Macys told me its discontinued. The nice lady at Jo Malone tried to sell me some as she explained how the fragrances are made to be layered. She knew my love was JM, so she suggested I try Amazon. I did and made my JM purchase. Even though I didnt buy from Macys this time, I will return, bc she knew my need and didnt try to rob my pocket for a sale. Ty
Macy’s was redone at this location and the layout is great. They have a Starbucks now and departments are easily identifiable. The store is well maintained. If I would have a complaint it would be that sometimes you can’t find a cashier readily available. Their return department/customer service is on point and at a good location.
As compared to other Macy’s stores this one is highly disorganized. They have some sales going on, but not enough of a discount to convince you to shop here. Every time we went here we have a hard time in finding open registers. There’s a Starbucks inside the place and parking is always available, that’s about the only thing good here. We have used it more to return stuff than to purchase things. Good luck finding anything in here.
Placed a same day pick up order 4 hours ago and still not ready. I walked in to the store to inquire about it since Im from out of town and didnt want to make a trip back and the girl was clueless. Said she didnt know when it would be ready and she wouldnt even call to ask the people who had orders. Ill never place an order at this store again. Ill stick to Smithhaven or even Massapequa even if its 45 minutes away from me. They lost a good customer. Currently sitting in parking lot for 10 minutes to see if I get the message its ready. Get it together Macys, Target has orders ready in less than an hour and youre a high end chain. Unreal!!!
I have been in Macys from east to west coast. All the stores are exactly the same. They are well lit, very clean, have lots of inventory and normally quick to pay and check out. Lately, it has been difficult to find a human on the sales floor to assist you. I do like the fact that they have an entire department for ladies petite clothing.
Amanda from impulse beauty is absolutely outstanding. Whenever I go to this store there is never anyone in the whole cosmetics department to help me and if there is they are down right rude and uninformative. I came into the store to take advantage of the 15% off cosmetics sale and let me tell you this young lady was fantastic! I have no idea when it comes too makeup. She sat me down in her chair made me feel comfortable, confident and beautiful. I left with a beautiful makeover a ton of products and most importantly knowledge. She showed me step by step how to do every single application. Thanks Amanda, your talent and your personality is going to take you very far! - Lisa
Its a nice store- clean and well presented. I enjoy shopping there. HOWEVER....and I see this in other reviews and it is true- you can spend 30 minutes gathering the things you want to buy and then be unable to find an open register! After searching and waiting at one or two locations you are told by an employee that the register over there is open. When you get there you find a line of people waiting to pay. So after spending 30 minutes shopping it takes you more than 30 minutes to pay? Thats absolutely ridiculous. I have on several occasions just dropped the stuff I selected and walked out the store. Its no wonder that the brick and mortar stores are dropping like flies. Do they WANT us to go somewhere else? It makes no sense!
Very disappointed in Macys. Waited an hour and a half in line on Christmas Eve to be told that the safe was closed and the jewelry that was on sale was not available nor could I get a rain check for the price they were offering online and at the store. Seems like a come on to get me to buy something else more expensive. Im up Macys cardholder member and Im very disappointed but their jewelry sales department.
Excellent change since the remodel. Having been disappointed by the condition of the old Macys I tried to avoid it unless there was a phenomenal sale. But I have to say that since the store was remodeled it seems so where the livelihood of the whole experience. I went in recently to do some Christmas shopping (on Black Friday evening) and despite the line which is to be expected ended up getting phenomenal service from their jewelry staff. The gentleman, Kevin I believe, had more knowledge then I would ever expect to find from a retail employee and helped me find the perfect watch for my husband for Christmas. Im really confused by the other reviews and they seem to be disgruntled employees no store is perfect and yourll always have annoyed staff somewhere but Ive seen nothing but helpfulness here since they remodeled.
Nancy noticed my GF trying an oversized jacket on to hide her baby bump in the future. She is 14 weeks and nancy knew right away as she saw her in the mirror. Nancy Gave great service and even advised of checking out the childrens clothing upstairs. Nancy Changed our experience positively.
This Nayshore location is not as nice as others. I was not impressed with their Womens stock or Juniors Department at all. I left only purchasing a pair of earrings. I went mid February looking for a classy,yet sexy RED blouse and found nothing. Very disappointed. The entire Mall is disappointing. Has been for the past 10 or so years. I guess its the Clientel they cater to. The mall is very ...I dont want to be anymore offensive than I have been already,but it is a great inconvenience to have to travel all the way to Huntington or Smithtown/Lake Grove to get decent atmosphere and products. I wish the mall would stop catering to... and remember us Working Class.
Go out of business already over priced and over rated take advantage of people during lock down when they cant get out to post office and with no phone service due to covid19 nobody to call to pay bill online ..very bad macys those late fees cost more then I owed ...shame on you macys you lost a very good customer look at my history...like I said go out of business already
Ms. Celeste is a sale associate at this location. Her attitude is horrible. She slammed my receipt on the table. She stated that she called a manager and that they did not want to meet with me. Her customer service is not exemplary of Macys. I am so close to cancelling my Macys platinum credit card.
This macys is located in a mall and is on one end so its great to park in front of macys cause you just go straight to see the whole mall AND get to go through macys twice. This is a really nice location with very friendly staff in the jewelry, purses, and perfume departments (the only ones I visited Im sure the rest of the staff is just as helpful) definitely recommend shopping here
I was shopping for a good quality Mens suit at this department store. There was one man behind the cash register with a line of customers with their soon to be purchased items. I needed customer service. There was no one to assist me to find items in stock. The indifference of the manager reminded me that my four hundred dollars for a nice suit and accessories could be better spent somewhere else. Two stars because I heard Christmas music playing. Bah humbug! Dont settle for less. Persuade the dear clerks (after putting yourself in their shoes), that if it werent for you, the dear customer going to see THEM, that they would be totally unnecessary and as obsolete as an eight-track tape player... unemployable. However, blame the upper management who place profits and understaffing above your needs.If I could try on a suit by magically entering the laptop on my dining room table, then that would be an excellent choice. Right down the rabbit hole, shopping with Alice. However, my magic powers eluded me and Alice in her Wonderland would need to wait for me at home while she intelligently peruses the Shopping Channel (or whatever you call it).I went to J.C. PENNEYS and found what I wanted: a Michael Strahan, grey three-piece suit with silk pocket square. Perfect.Macys wasnt exactly horrible, only incompetent.
Continuoiously makes false advertisements about give-away events on the Westfield Mall App and in store. Had a poor experience with their Go with the Glow event they advertised. Bait and switch... Manager who was supposed to be in charge was on vacation! Neice and neighbors have had same complaints about their give-away events in the past. Get the customers inside the store theyll leave with something in their hands. Im sure those giveaways either dont exist or marketing doesnt know about the true friends and family discount for employees only... 🙄. I complained to mall management Ive yet to hear from them. 1 star for not having a choice as this is my local Macys and for the guy who made an effort at the Clinique counter manning the entire cosmetic department and seemed disheveled as he had been stuck until whenever someone was coming to relieve him.
Stood in the shoe Dept for 30 mins waiting for someone to get me a size from the back. The one person working in the shoe Dept is on the register ringing up customers from other depts. Macys is the worse as far as customer service is. Theres no one ever to assist, its 10 times worse during the holiday season.
This place was a mess it was gross if it had a star lower then one thats what Id give it and on top of that I was helped by a nice man in mens named Frank but when he need to get the manager Martha I believe her name was she was rude took forever and looked like she was just walking around doing nothing I hate the macys in bayshore NEVER again its like this everytime I go in there
I love Macys in the quality of everything I dont like that all the coupons have changed usually have a coupon its not good for anything just like the other stores now but if you shop well and on a sale racks you can get great deals close to all gray parking everything looks nice and neat an organized
Terrible. Hated it, I am a former employee who recently quit, loss prevention harass the customers, the employers are extremely rude, my wife and I both work there and she still hasnt gotten paid from two weeks ago or the first week there. The executives yell at you in front of everyone and the store is filthy. We have both gotten sick multiple times since we started working there and a lot of the clothes are stained or in poor condition. Please dont shop there if you want quality service.
Marquis Mateo Im sorry you had a bad experience but I think you are overreacting. I work is this store and everybody is friendly and the managers they just tell what to do. Not a big deal. Its like any other job once you do what you are supposed to do you are good. So, relax !
Went to buy a suite, found a nice one that fits perfectly, walked around & could not find an open register on the ground floor. Only register was open in mens shoe with a long line. Had to leave the suit behind. The other workers were walking around or searching the racks👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Absolutely hated working there this year. Human resources cause too much pressure and the store department leaders take out their stress on their employees. Multiple times Ive encountered fellow co workers at the brink of crying, nobody loves coming in to deal with their bosses, the store manager Martha is an uptight, rude, bossy, b*tch, when I worked last year in fragrance I loved everyone I worked with: hale, elaine, Sonia, tito, were all so lovely and caring and genuinely care about their employees. 5 stars for fragrance, no stars for the store itself.
As compared to Macys in New York city, this Macys store in Roosevelt Field Mall in long island is highly disorganized. But, almost all the times they have some sale or other going on there. Again, unlike Macys in New York city, here you have to spend couple of hours to find what youre looking for because display is horrible.
This store is horrible they fired best employee at this store Name Bobby store manager is horrible. Senella. HR Manager is horrible her name is jessica. And asset protection is also horrible located near starbucks, this place is racist.If your kid needs a place to shop dont go to this store!!! Dirty store horrible customer service.
Horrible customer service. Today at mens department there was nobody to help me to find what I wanted. After I asked other members of the staff somebody came but It was his first day at work. Bless him. Finally I went home with nothing. I went on propourse after looking it up in the website.
The customer service is awful in the watches department. I waited over 45 minutes and never received help. I called the department to try and located someone, I had other sales departments page for management and I was told I had to wait for the sales representative with a key. Macys customer service couldnt even get in contact with anyone to get me help!
Horrible went to this location to purchase a few things only to be profiled by a asset prevention employee Reggie who followed me around the whole store then when I confronted him after catching him on video he lied about the whole situation don’t shop at this location if you don’t want to be profield

2022-04-04Macys shipped me my order with the security tag still on there really😕 so I had to go to the store to get it taken off , they were really nice about it and took it off but make sure u bring your receipt if it happens to you! In the mean time while I was there I bought this fantastic perfume by “Donna Karan”

2021-12-23Went to return item. 45min on line. Woman in front if me had no mask no one said a thing to her. Her 6-7yr old kid no mask running around touching EVERYTHING it was purely a circus. This reminded me NOT to go back to South Shore Mall!!

2021-11-24I was very disappointed by the customer service. The employees were extremely rude. I asked if they can tell me where I can find the sweater the mannequin was wearing. They completely ignored me. Didn’t say a single word and just walked away. After 10 minutes of me standing there clueless, one girl came in and said we don’t have it. I later found out that was a lie because the manager was about to find me the same sweater. They didn’t even bother looking for it. Overall it was extremely disrespectful and I have never experienced such bad customer service. I do not recommend anyone going to this specific Macy’s location.
