I buy Clinque at Macys. This time I had an experienced sales woman who was able to help me and get me the products I needed.
There is a woman that deals with returns. This is my 2nd encounter with her. She is rude, and appears to be a disgruntled employee. No matter how I tried to be polite. I suggest she not deal with customers, if she doesnt have manners. I complained to a manager..it was like speaking to a refrigerator. Waste of time. I used to love this store and the employees, ever since Filenes. Not dealing with her ever again!
As an opportunity to survive the pandemic and still have some decent offerings has kept Macys relevant. Along with the opportunity to have curbside pickup so you can extend the online experience without having to go inside is an added benefit. So if you are going to the Galleria, give the store another view.
Great sales. Found a blouse priced at 54. used my Macys points and paid 16. dollars.
This occurred on Dec. 17 2021 between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM. My wife and I visited the store to buy a gift for a family member. We waited for about an hour for some help, but there were only two associates working near the jewelry section. Were both standing there about to be helped next, and the white female associate decides to attend a tall white older male who came after us. That really infuriated us!! Did she not attend to us because we were younger and probably thought they have no money and not make a purchase? Or was it the color of our skin? Truly pathetic of that specific employee. We were definitely discriminated against. Its unfortunate that Macys hires individuals like this. Ill gladly speak to someone from corporate about this situation!
Idk why the website say same day pick up if it doesn’t work that way I have to drive 1 hour and when I went to pick up my gifts the lady said isn’t ready yet and if you are shopping in store there’s no cashiers available to do the transaction my daughter is using crutches and we have to be walking side to side to be able to pay for a toy! Well my same day pick up may be ready next day or next week. 👎🏼

If you need to return things, theyll happily take them back. I wanted a cotton bedspread for cheap. Not polyester because it slides off the bed along with the dogs. Im going to post a video one day! Cheap because the dogs arent bright enough to unwrap the bedspread from their bones, hence free air-conditioning bedspreads and Ill post a picture if possible. Im looking for a King sized, new, cotton. Im not worried about the color. Martha Stewart has Full-Queen on sale at Macys and this exact one in polyester.
They have a lot of products to choose from and the staff was very helpful.

The store was messy. The second floor registers had long lines, the women’s shoe department looked like something you’d find in a discount store; it was half empty, messy, cramped, unorganized and there were no staff around. In fact the only department that seemed to have staff was the perfume section where there were 3-4 employees per counter.I had not been to this store since before the pandemic and it seems the company no longer has the same high standards that used to come with the Macys name.
The hay days of the department stores may be behind us, but they really shouldnt be. Macys in Poughkeepsie has a large selection, a friendly staff, and if you catch one of their sales, they have some amazing deals.Try before you buy and see the product in real life rather than in an online photo.#ShopLocal

Store is filthiest Macys ever been in. Filth on floor. Racks a mess. Staff not interested in picking up or cleaning up. No t interested in ever shopping in this filthy mess again. See pictures. This isnt 4th quarter yet... Imagine the need it will be then. Sad.

They have incredible sales on all of my favorite styles and brands regularly, and I love their accessories and fragrances, along with the best brand cosmetics and skin care. Just your average Macys store. Prices were a bit high for weekend shopping. But this is undeerstable seeing as though there were no holiday sales. The store seemed overall clean and customer service was good.

A very busy place. I went to Macys for the Lancome special. Cheyenne, my sales associate, was awesome.
I went in the Macys in Poughkeepsie. I am not sure if there was a shortage or clothing for Special Occasions. The clothing options were not appealing at all. I went to the area to purchase Nordic Cake pans none. I was told I could order online. Half the things had no prices. Found myself looking to find prices. I did purchase a few items. I know its not 34th Street. But it could be displayed better some areas. I patronize here because all the stores are closing and its in my new area. Today was a sale but you really would not know.
More Christmas shopping, I need to ship it to Hungary. So lots of plans for Christmas.
Needed help looking for a suit and Carmela in the men’s formal section was excellent. Helped us find what we needed and gave us 10/10 service. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
I appreciate that this store values there in store coustomers people who dont want to shop on line, who want to feel the product, see it in person and try it on ( and yes they have open dressing rooms). To me this is more valuable than you know!
I love this store ,it has great brands for reasonable prices. The employees are very helpful and friendly . The store is also very well maintained , not a mess like those other department stores. Theres usually a hidden gem in the clearance section too .

Macys in the Poughkeepsie Galleria has great deals on designer clothes in their north entrance! An area Macys calls BACKSTAGE is a huge assortment of mens boys girls woman clothes shoes coats makeup socks boxers panties bras and home decorating as well as electronics! Dont shop at an expensive store for clothes when Macys has all your designer gear for less than half the price! Also in the mens and womans section upstairs they have an area called Last Act for designer clothes that are dramatically marked down!
In my opinion, I really like this store and the customer service associates I get to see whenever I go to the mens section. Sorry about the other reviews, every time I go there, I am able to get the nice shirts I want to buy either for work or for leisure at a very great price and the really professional associates at the register are all so welcoming and down to earth. Love the store, keep up the great work, guys!
I like it for the variety of merchandise. Also, they offer great sales on designer merchandise. Great shoe department. I hope they keep the sales staff and not do all self-service with the shoes. Its now the only anchor store in the mall.

Excellent customer service, although I was a little disappointed not getting what I wanted at the same time, but it will be delivered to me at a later date. I’m always very pleased with the service here. Usually I drop by during the holidays to shop the gift selection of specialty fragrances.
I was purchasing a nice little card holder at the bag area and the woman at the register assumed I was paying with a prepaid card. Never have I ever had someone assume the way I pay. And even if I was..what’s wrong with that.
I went in for Black Friday deals, their sales are actually worth visiting especially for kitchen ware. There were many good rebate-free items and decent deep discounts. The only complaint is many cash lines were not open.
They ought to figure out their policies between the store and hr. Cuz um, they sound like chickens without heads clucking

This is why retail is dead. Went to the store Wednesday, put an item on hold to pick up. Store closed at 8pm, had no idea. Mall closes at 9:30pm, a major retail store should stay open till at least 9, at least a good chunk of the store. Tried to call the phone today, took me 20 minutes before I was able to do talk to anyone. Tried to order the thing over the phone, would not let me, said I had to come to the store. Fine. Wanted the code to find it online. Spent another 10 minutes trying to figure out where they put it. Couldnt find it. The phone options are impossible, associates dont know the extensions, no list. Want to maintain retail? Run the store better.
I think everyone loves Macys, they have everything! I love their clothes and they do have awesome clearance prices on a lot of stuff. Their makeup and perfume is one of my favorites and their shoe selection is tremendous and when they go on sale its such a good sale if you dont get there early. ..the place will be a wreck and nothing good left in the more common sizes. If youve never checked out one of their sales do it because you wont believe how inexpensive they make it.
First time back in the store after reopening and I could not have received any worst possible customer service ever. Extremely disappointed with the way the associate handled my case with a price match situation from Macys.com and the use of available reward cards at the time of check out. I will be writing to corporate. Thats how bad it was.
Excellent selection but the Canadian credit card didnt work on any of the machines so I couldnt make my purchase. The staff member passively insulted continuously by asking if I shopped too much today or continuously asking if I forgot my PIN. I kept explaining to her that this is my primary payment method for all my purchases and that I have had zero issues elsewhere, I also told her that this is a Canadian card but she continued to let my words pass from one year to the other and continued with her comments. I was going to pull out money and pay in cash, but her comments ruined my experience.

I was only in the upstairs department. Decent selection compared to the Macys by me. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well organized for the most part. Prices are alittle high unless there is a sale. It is a good store that I will continue to go to when Im in the area
I have shopped in this Macys for years and have always had positive experiences. The customer service is good and usually friendly. This store is a little smaller than some of the others in larger cities, but it has always met my needs and I am glad it is there since it is conveniently located from home and work.
Had some returns, the saleswoman was very nice and patient, returned a coat too small, wanted to order another size, I tried on the coat for her she gave me her recommendation what size I should order, she ordered for me. Very nice to have her help. Bravo! I wish I had her name.
I went here the other night to buy my daughter a pair of new shoes and they had a decent selection. They are running 30% off if you use your Macy’s card right now , Janet was very helpful.
I always hit the baby/childrens section to find clothes for my son. They are always having sales and I end up spending the same or less than what I would spend at WalMart but for WAY better quality. He looks adorable and has an outfit (or 5) for every occasion.

We stopped here so my wife could get some makeup. The woman at the Lancome counter, Cheyenne, was amazing! She took the time to answer all my wifes questions and discuss the different products available. She helped my wife find what she needed and gave her samples of other things to try.

I didnt visit Macys. It was the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall. However, I have been to Macys before, so I can say that it is a great place to find nice clothes in, but prices may vary and more towards the higher end. Other than that, its a nice store. Would recommend.
I managed to get everything I wanted during the Christmas rush and I got in and out in no time.
Old and dated with terrible exchange policies. Based on the sales representative at the Chanel fragrance counter - an even exchange on the same day is not allowed - which is completely silly considering how difficult of a process selecting a fragrance can be. And that’s before we even consider that it’s easier to get most things online nowadays. I returned the fragrance and am deciding to go with my original thought to have it shipped to my house. As of today, I’m done with brick and mortar shopping.
Cashier never took off my security tags, and calling the store doesnt actually connect you to the store. Apparently the associate was too concerned about trying to sign me up for their card that she couldnt even do her job properly first. Also a heads up to the local shoplifters, the security tag didnt even go off when I left, so I got to find out almost two hours later that she screwed me.

Not the nice selection of bridal sleepwear that I depend on Macys for. It is becoming a bit sloppy in the store- not enough straightening up in the ladies section. Might check out Albany the next time I want to find those nice things you want from a nice store.
This store looks like its holding on by its fingernails. The top shelf feel if this store is gone. Replaced by coupons and marked up items. They wont and cant compete with Amazon. They should have made themselves smaller and more boutique that cheap and discount. Rather sad.2 stars and 1 for their great name. Too bad all the big box stores and malls will be vacant in a few years other than Walmart and maybe Target - both made themselves also supermarkets locally.Otherwise wave goodbye to them.

My daughter and I had bought an expensive watch for my husband for Fathers day. We purchased the 3year warranty. Specifically asking if the warranty covered the band and glass. The sales lady assured us that it would be covered. Well the band broke so if course I went back to Macys expecting them to fix the watch. This sales woman said the warranty didnt cover the band or the glass. NEVER BY THE WARRANTY...ITS A SCAM! I will never go back to that store located in the Crystal Run Mall. They were rude and dismissive
Stopped at the cologne counter, I said excuse me 3 times to a woman playing on her phone, finally had to say hello! Its unbelievable, bad enough teen-agers are on their phones 24-7 but this woman was at least in her 40s... What ever was on her phone was more important than a sale, good luck with your job, I certainly wont be wasting my time going back to Macys
Was helped by Troy in the mens suit department on a Saturday. It was extremely busy and he was working by himself. Troy was so helpful to everyone and very efficient. He also helped me get a great deal... 2 suits, dress shirt, tie, belt, and shoes for $440. Every Macys needs a Troy.
Love Macys. Great sales. Only store that I cant leave without spending any money at all. Today went shopping for my Grand daughter. Got 3 pairs of pjs, 8 outfits and with their 30% off for using my Macys card spent less than $110.

I went to origins to do an exchange. There was a sales rep. helping someone else and she said she would be right with me. So she took the lady to another counter to ring her up and never came back to me, so I had to find someone else to help me. Its a shame how origins never have a sales clerk to help you with their own line.

I come into the Poughkeepsie establishment very often. Between me and my family we spend a lot of money monthly on the products. The selection is great, yet the staff I would consider to be less than mediocre. Several times I have been sent to different checkout areas due to the employees mandated breaks, after having waited in said line for 10+ minute. Besides the fact they tend to go on about personal problems with customers not making the process any faster, today I can say Ive officially had it with this store. Ive been in line for 25+ minutes while a short man in the suits department would not ring me up and walked away from the register without word. A woman whom seemed to be of authority to other employees noticeably witnessed my dissatisfaction and looked the other way. Just to add I have written this entire review while remaining the same place in line. I will not be coming back.
I bought a traveling bag. In the beginning I was unwilling to buy it because it was so expensive to me but a lady who was a cashier at that moment was so friendly and patient to explain things to me and I bought it.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought a pair of last call shoes, wore them for 4 hours, and the shoe’s quality turned out to be horrendous. Tried to return them and 3 people, including the store manager, said there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. I work in retail - I know this is not the right way to treat an upset customer. The girl ahead of me in line had the same issue and they treated her the same way. I will never shop at Macy’s again. Save yourself the time and frustration and bring your business elsewhere.

I just purchased the Kira Comforter Set. I love the design & color, but the fabric is super cheap. It is impossible to get the wrinkles out. Also some of the batting does not lay flat. I can not return it as I cut off the tags. Macys for alleging to be a high end store, sells cheap items.

I took a trip to Poughkeepsie galleria specifically to Macys for my 18 month old son to get some clothes as this Macys is the closest to where I live and they literally had maybe 6 things I liked but I did not buy bc what I saw online was alot better of a selection. The amount of clothes they have for girls is way more than boys and I was absolutely disappointed I took a 40 minute ride out the for nothing.
Jenny in the cookware department was very helpful and welcoming. She helped select our cast iron pots and show us the discounts we can have on our goods. Thank you Jenny, for your help and see you again sometime soon.

A large department store with plenty of items to choose from. They also have a large Martha Stewart collection which includes mortar and pestles. Only major drawback would be the higher prices, offset slightly by the discounts and offers for participating members.

Curbside pickup couldn’t have been easier. Ordered through the app. Check your email though! Curbside pickup was only until 7pm, while Macy’s closed at 8pm.

I am really mad! Its Fathers Day, I go to wrap my gift, and there is still a security tag on it!!!! Im going to the beach this weekend, so now he cant even wear them.This Macys is not the best. Even with 30% plus an additional 30% off everything in the store is still ungodly expensive. Zero staff around to help customers if needed, and if you do find one to ask a question they ignore you.

Well customer service is terrible. I try to shop at the stores so local people have jobs but its getting easier and easier to fall into the on line shopping because employees are rude and or not helpful and or knowledgeable.

Macys is Macys what can you say. Wish their coupons could be used with your general credit card versus having to use their credit card. Most of us just need 1 credit card. That should be it.

2022-04-27This Macys is usually busy and the ability to get assistance depends on how busy it is. I usually come for shoes or dresses. This Macys also has a Mac section which is really nice! The bag selection they have is decent, Im a Coach girl so its another plus. 3/4 people Ive come across since the pandemic have been exceedingly polite. The reason for the three stars is due to the availability of staff and the long lines for check out. If you have time to really shop this can be a great shopping experience.

2022-04-29I got an awesome pair of Calvin Klein shoes. My size was not out front BUT the personnel searched the back for me and provided it for me. With my 30% rewards it made the experience even sweeter!

2022-06-06This store used to be very nice. It looks like a junk store - clothes all over the place, no sales help, no selection . Marshalls and TJ Maxx are way better. I used to come here for petites. Just buy online.

They have escalators to go up and down from floor to floor.I always liked their designer perfumes/cologne counters, jewelry, shoes, clothing, pocketbooks, lingerie, bras, underwear, pajamas, fancy dishes, housewares, Lenox, and basically everything else!The prices tend to range from moderately expensive to very expensive. However, they have some good markdowns (clearance sales).Unfortunately a lot of Macys have gone out of business.I miss the original Macys from my childhood and young adulthood because I feel thats when they were much better than nowadays. Thats when they were in their prime!

2022-01-25Customer service has become non-existent at this store. Even the manager was rude, upset and indignant.Not to mention that variety of merchandise has been reduced.After shopping for years at Macy’s, my family will no longer shop at this place. It’s too bad that they‘ve become a dinosaur of a business and in the process of shutting down stores where shopping used to be a pleasant experience.But based on late personal shopping experiences, I’m not surprised at this outcome.

2022-02-20I was going with a friend, their own experience seemed to be OK - service was the standard youre getting from Macys these days. Nothing is outstanding anymore there.Be aware - Toys R Us is opening a retail location inside the POK Macys in the spring 2022.

2022-04-25Macys is my go to store. This visit was for the sole purpose of returning an item I bought on-line. Their return process is quick and easy if you purchase with your macys card and go on line to get the return UPC Code .

2022-04-26I tried to help my wife in the dressing room with clothes she picked out and was yelled at by one of the clerks who barely spoke English to get out saying I wasn’t supposed to be in there. So I go to take a seat out side the dressing room and I see multiple women bring the significant other into the dressing room without the clerk or anyone else saying anything. My poor wife kept having to walk out of her own dressing room hoping it wouldn’t be taken from her. I asked a mother outside the dressing room where I was sitting cause her daughter bought her boyfriend in to which the mother replied to me “oh, he was in there before and they didn’t say anything “ like what?!

2022-05-13Always good place to shop and had what I was looking for .. more importantly I always see police and security doing there job and very professional.
