The day of our big move to VA after living in NY for 72 years was stressful. The thought of leaving a place that we lived in for 37 years and had our baby girl was overwhelming. The day the movers were coming to gather our boxes was painful but seeing the Cary team that we got for the move made my stress level decline. I was fortunate to get Cary and his team. My daughter was at the other end waiting to accept delivery and she felt the same way I did.

I could not have been happier with my recent move from Long Island to Florida using the services of Maffucci movers. From the initial quote to the final bill everything was seamless and handled in a professional manner. The office staff especially Diane to the truck driver and the 2 movers who took great care in wrapping and packing my furnishings you could not ask for a better moving experience. If you need a moving company you only need to call Maffucci.
I contacted a few moving companies but Maffucci was the best. Starting with the in home estimate, the representative (Marlon) was very informative and helpful with figuring out our move. He was very respectful of our home.The movers were amazing with their lead driver Kevon. They showed up at 8am and had us in moved into our new home (almost 2 hours away) by 4pm. We had 90% of the house fully packed into boxes. They quickly organized the things that could not fit into boxes. I could not believe how fast these guys moved or how all my stuff fit into that truck. The movers were respectful of our house, our family, and our things. Hopefully we never move again but if we do, I will chose Maffucci again.
When my wife and I decided to sell our home and move to Florida, picking a moving company that would care for our personal belongings as we always have became a daunting task. The stories you read about scare you into thinking that the only way to do an interstate move is to do it yourself. Well, I can honestly say that after my first conversation with Diane, I was no longer afraid of the actual move. Diane explained the entire process from accurately estimating my moving cost to how our belongings would be delivered. I received a call from our moving coordinator 3 days before our scheduled moving date and was given a 2 hour window of between 8-10am. Well, 3 days later at 7:45, Kevon and Anthony arrived. Two hours later, they were done. Every piece of furniture securely protected, every box neatly stacked, all of our things inventoried for our 1,200 mile trip. Two days later, I receive a phone call saying our belongings were on their way and would arrive on June 15th. On June 14th,the day before, our driver calls to confirm the delivery date and time. The next day, like clockwork, our driver pulls up. Just like the day of our move 1 week earlier, each box is carefully placed, each piece of furniture properly unwrapped and inspected. All of our belongings are inventoried again to ensure all is accounted for. For anyone moving, I would highly recommend Maffucci Moving. The professionalism and attention to detail is hard to find this day in age. Thank you Maffucci for making our move a painless journey.
I am a retired executive that have moved across the country multiple times with many of the big moving companies. This is the second time Ive used Maffucci and I will never use anyone else. They are outstanding. Tamika in particular is amazing. She is so proactive and organized and was extremely responsive to all my concerns. This past move was the most complex as I had several location drop-offs as I was downsizing. Franco and his crew that packed and moved us were terrific. Very professional and careful. I would recommend Maffucci to anyone moving! I would give them 10 stars if I could!
We contacted this company for a move from NY to GA for our mom. I found them initially on Yelp and wasnt sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews but when I looked on Google thankfully the reviews were way more promising and consistent. My sister has done a lot of research on other options like attaching a trailer to my moms truck, using a pod and a few others. The pod was a strong contender but ultimately wed have to load and unload the pod ourselves when it arrived here. The price for this was comparable and thankfully they handle the tough part for us which is the loading and unloading. From the first time I called them for an estimate Tamika was very professional. She was patient and answered all my questions. I then had my sister contact her for more detailed information. We decided to move forward and Im glad we did. They picked up her items and less than 2 weeks later they brought them down. Our movers were Daniel and Michael. They did an awesome job of unloading the items and making sure that everything went into the storage unit carefully. A great experience overall and Id recommend and use this company again.
Moving things into storage was a great solution in prep for a bigger interstate move. Maffucci Moving made the move easy and they will take care of the big move when I am ready.. The professional crew led by Elmer ( I hope I got that right) packed some breakables, in addition to taking the things I packed, and were polite, safe with masks, and respectful of me and my house. He went around with me and asked what he should take, and it was perfect and complete. Everyone at the Maffucci office has been polite, and professional. I recommend Maffucci Moving 100%. We used this company to move out of NY and into PA, while storing our items for 2 months. Kerry led the team of 9 to make this process as painless as possible! I recently contracted with Maffucci Moving & Storage for a move from NYC to Stamford, CT. They were very responsive from the estimate process, coordination of the move, and the actual move. The three movers who showed up were very professional, polite and extremely efficient. They got it done...packing, moving and placing in storage...very quickly and carefully. Moving is stressful, but these folks made it as pleasant as can be. I highly recommend them.

We hired Maffucci Movers to handle our recent move from Long Island NY to north Central Florida and we could not be more happy with the company or their performance and price. The communication was great through the whole process. Michael, their sales representative came to our house and gave us an estimate which was significantly lower than what we imagined it would be. The personnel in the office kept in touch with us regarding the move. When the day we selected arrived, the gentlemen arrived on time with the truck (actually even a little earlier), they wrapped all our fragile furniture and belongings (glass shelves, TVs, statues, etc) and took careful time to pack everything. When they arrived at our new home (the same team of workers) they couldn’t get the big truck through the gate so they got a smaller truck and brought our belongings in in an organized operation, one load at a time. They unwrapped the furniture pieces and put everything back together again. They could not have been nicer, more accommodating or more professional. At the end of the experience the price we were quoted was the price we were charged. Maffucci is part of the Bekins family of movers and I highly recommend this company. Moving is very stressful, especially moving out of state. The wonderful people at Maffucci made this aspect of the move stress free and we cannot thank them enough.

I initially heard about Maffucci through AAA. I searched for a few quotes through other companies, but Maffucci physically sent out a person to give me a very accurate estimate of the cost of moving my items. I needed to move from the east coast to the Midwest with relatively short notice with very specific pick up and delivery dates. Edward assured me that the estimate would accurately include packing and moving of all my items and assured me that Maffucci would be able to meet my restrictions in timing for pickup and delivery. Everything went extremely smoothly and my initial estimate was very accurate. I have moved several times in the last ten years (most of which were total disasters) and I cannot say enough about the professionalism, care and timeliness of the service I received. My items (lots of glassware) were packed quickly and carefully and I received everything within 3 days, as promised. I was not physically present on the front end of the move, but the driver and helpers in NJ made sure to collect all the items listed in my inventory. The driver and movers took a great deal of care with my items and put everything in the appropriate locations within my home. They made sure no walls or floors were damaged or dirtied during the move and disposed of all garbage created during the unpacking/delivery. I am extremely pleased with the service I received from beginning to end. The company was also very responsive to my questions / concerns that arose throughout the process. I would definitely recommend and utilize Maffucci for future moves.
Three movers from Maffucci Moving & Storage showed up right at 8am to begin our move. They guys were excellent. They were extremely efficient and careful with everything. They packed and unpack set up the furniture. I highly recommend this amazing company. I especially appreciate the movers who were friendly and efficient. I hired Maffucci Moving & Storage because they were the cheapest. They sent four movers who were all very competent. They packed all our stuffs with proper packing materials and then loaded them onto the truck. I was curious to see how they were going to travel to my new house. Surprisingly, all our furniture traveled well and nothing suffered any damage, not even a scratch. I’m still wondering how they managed to do such a good job at that price bracket. It was unbelievable.

I recently moved some furniture from New York to Florida. The Maffucci office staff and movers were all professional and meticulous. The office staff walked me through all the steps. The movers in NY were patient not only with me but with my neighbors who are a bit difficult. The furniture was carefully packaged and placed in the truck. They were patient with my adding items. When the furniture was delivered in Florida, the guys again were professional and knew how to recreate the pieces. They had a tight squeeze in our small elevator but they made it work. This was a pleasant experience and we highly recommend Maffucci.

These men were like machines. They arrived right on time and the efficiency they displayed was out of the world. Every little detail was taken care of by them. I had the pleasure of working with Maffucci Moving Company. Moving is a highly stressful life event and picking the RIGHT moving company is critical. Maffucci Moving made the process so easy, efficient and economical. I moved from a New York City apartment to a Brookline, MA apartment in October, 2020. The staff at Maffuccis made this process as stress free as possible. Because of COVID issues, the estimate was conducted by ZOOM in 20 minutes. I received paperwork with 24 hours/modified some items and received the final contract with another 24 hour turnaround.. My building required a document related to Insurance. This was handled expeditiously. The day of the move, the movers were EARLY!! The lead mover was polite, informative and efficient. He treated me and his moving crew with respect. They were packed and finished exactly when they estimated. They arrived at the Brookline apartment the next day at the appointed hour. The crew unloaded furniture, set up rugs and placed boxes in designated rooms. This took no effort on my part. The head mover and crew were very patient and willing to re-lay a carpet several times to get it just right.The final bill was several hundred dollars less than the estimated cost (which was mid-range in estimates I received). . I couldnt have been more pleased. I will use them again in the future. The service and peace of mind they bring to the moving process is priceless!
I mean it when I say Maffucci Bekins Moving & Storage is the most efficient, systematic and professional moving company in the business. While there is no shortage of moving companies, these guys definitely outperform the rest. My move became easy and smooth only because of the movers they sent. Their men were fast, skilled, trained and friendly. It’s not easy having to leave a house that you have known for so long and starting over at a new place. The movers definitely lightened my mood while doing their job properly. All the belongings were safely transported to my new house. I really couldn’t fault these guys for anything.

The process was seamless starting with the estimate to the drop off in Florida. The team came right on time on the day of the move and emptied the house in little over 4 hours. The movers from Maffucci Moving took on the job like it was nothing. I am very attached to these old pieces of furniture. The movers really understood my sentiments and were extra careful with the old pieces. They made sure they stacked everything properly inside the truck so nothing damages during the journey. They made the delivery during the first half of the delivery timeframe. The movers unpacked everything and put them where they belonged. I didn’t see the men complaining even for once. These movers are seriously good.
We had a great experience with the Maffucci team! They were extremely professional from the quotes through the booking and to the move. They were very communicative and we were always updated about next steps and they even coordinated with the facility where we were moving my father. (Diane was great!) Both the packers and the movers were early/on time in arrival. As we were moving into a different state, they provided the SAME team with both locations. Franco, Andy and Juascar were extremely patient and kind to my father who was overwhelmed with the process. Hopefully we will never have to move again, but if we did, we would definitely use them!
Moving ones aging parent across states is stressful. Diane, the agent who arranged the move was patient and helpful as I tried to set up my dads move from NY to Chicago. Diane answered all of my questions and also patiently answered my dads question to set up the move. John and his crew packed up my dads house expertly and they were really nice to my dad. They set his mind at ease and handled his stuff with great care. They were punctual and fast and arrived on time to Chicago. They unloaded everything careful and placed everything carefully. I hired Maffucci Bekins Moving and they took really good care of me. When I called them, they gave me a very reasonable quote. They sent over a crew of four men on the moving day. The movers were all very young. I have to be honest- the men didn’t look very strong. But all four men were very skilled and experienced as it turned out. They packed all my belongings with great care and precision. Efficiency was really their forte. I was glad to see how fast they were, which essentially saved me some money. If I need to move again, these guys will be ones I hire.

Maffucci Moving was extremely helpful and went above and beyond their responsibilities. We had a complicated move with multiple locations and they accommodated every part of the move. After the entire move, they even stayed for an extra 30 minutes to help my mother move a piece of furniture from our basement to the upstair bedroom. Would definitely hire again!

There are many moving companies around but very few are able to execute a move perfectly. My friend told me about Maffucci Bekins Moving & Storage and I got their number from him. Their sales rep was attentive and very friendly. He did not try to push me to hire them. Actually, he gave me some suggestions which helped me to save some money in the end. The guys smoothly wrapped up my one bedroom apartment and moved me very neatly and in an organized way. There were no damages, no change in the price and no surprises. Thanks a lot guys.
Maffucci and Bekins did a fabulous job of managing our cross-country move from start to finish. The salesperson, office staff, moving manager and driver were all super responsive and communicative throughout the move. When I first called their office, I was able to talk to a knowledgeable person rather than just a scheduler for a in-home visit - just one example of the personal service. The teams that packed, picked up and delivered our belongings were professional, friendly and efficient. Not one thing was broken! Our stuff arrived within the promised delivery window, and our driver was in touch regularly with updates. If I could give them six stars, I would! Highly recommend!
Well first of all the gentleman that came to give us the estimate Marlon was very kind and understanding to the stress of moving. He gave us a very fair price , much less than others. He was able to get us the moving date we wanted and the movers got there right on time. They covered everything with blankets as if it was theirs. They delivered it in a couple of hours with the same care. What is usually so stress became a calm and successful day. On 6 days notice, we had to move my MIL to assisted living the day after xmas, with a wrinkle: some stuff was going to my house and then the rest to assisted living. The guys were excellent. They worked quickly and were incredibly careful. The two stop move was no problem...they were careful to load the truck so they could unload the stuff correctly. We packed the boxes, but they packed lamps and glass table tops and everything arrived in great shape. Thank you!
I was pleased with Maffucis service. Management was always quick to respond to any inquiries. On moving day I had Chris and his staff. They couldnt have been nicer. They worked very hard under not so easy circumstances, ie. weather, route, challenging home site. They worked tirelessly until the job was completed. Always pleasant. I have just recommended them to a close friend who will be using them soon for her move.Just two issues that were not related to the moving day or moving staff.I also used Mafuccis packing staff the day prior to the move.They arrived on time. Their packing was fine however the packing supervisor was annoyed when I asked him to assist me with moving a couple of boxes out of my attic. He said that wasnt his responsibility. They finally did help. The second item was that the final cost came in about 20% higher than the estimate. Mostly due to packing costs.

We moved from Manhattan to New Jersey and Maffucci Moving did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient and everything arrived in perfect condition. They took the time to wrap all of our furniture and anything that had to be taken apart they put back together (e.g. our son’s crib) perfectly. They were very reasonable price wise to top it all off.

First time using movers as the distance was farther then previous moves. Ive got to say from the estimate to the actually movers it was an amazing process. Estimate was more than fair compared to competition. The 3 movers that day were incredible. They took care of my families personal items as if it were their own and were very professional. They moved quick and efficiently. I hope I dont have to move anytime soon but if I did I would not hesitate using Maffucci again. Definitely recommending to all my friends and family.

We moved from NY to FL and Maffucci did what the committed to do and they did it well. Our driver Wilbur was with us for the move out and the move in, he took meticulous inventory of every item and just as importantly in wrapping our furniture and electronics. Bekins moving company did a great job in moving my stuff. I have a hard time giving 5 stars for any moving company that I havent used more than once, but I would gladly use them again.Their pricing was very reasonable and the moving crew was very experienced. Right from the initial visit to get the quote, all the way through packing, moving and setting up post the move, every single team member went above and beyond to make sure everything was done smoothly. I waited almost 3 weeks to write this review while I unpacked everything. Not even a single cracked cup. They handled everything impeccably and efficiently. They made our move 100% stress free. Highly recommend.
We have moved several times, but this was the first time we used Maffucci. They were excellent. Superior to anyone we have ever used. Their pricing is competitive and fair, no surprises at the end, their customer service is so friendly and kind, the movers were fast, careful, professional. They were everything we needed and we would use them again in a heartbeat.
Horrible horrible horribleThey repacked all of our tubs and I can’t tell you why except they came in two small trucks and arrived in NC in a larger one. They came a a day earlier and we could not accept our goods. They hired out of state workers that showed up at 6:30am they were very upset. The driver of the truck seemed sub contracted he said his phone did not work and did not get the message from the home office.They came the next day and were not knowledgeable in putting things together . Like our bed frames. Dresser mirrors etc... they would not leave until I signed off so we had no choice at 7:30 pm. They had6 people unpacking and we could not watch them all. Many of our belongings are missing . And when you put a claim in they said well you signed for everything. What a company! And they charged us over $3000 more then the quote. Don’t make the same mistake
This is the shadiest moving company you can get. DO NOT USE THEM! They quoted us 11k and final cost was 18k. Not only did they come to my house inspect everything prior to moving to give me that quote they saw two other quotes from other companies that were at least 4K higher. They wanted the contract so they LIED to get it and then almost doubled the price. Not to mention it’s been a month and my stuff still has not been delivered. Now they want to hold my stuff hostage until we pay that much more.
We just used Maffucci for NYC move. The entire team was extremely courteous, punctual, and professional from the beginning to the end. Very easy to work with. They ensured every item was packed and moved with care. They left me very satisfied and I would highly recommend them again and will definitely use them for my next move!

We used Maffucci moving & storage to move and our store our 1-bedroom apartment during the coronavirus pandemic.The movers were prompt, professional, and careful with our belongings. I cannot speak to the quality of the storage because we have not had our items returned yet (still in storage).After the move, they nickel-and-dimed us over $350 for a variety of charges that should have been anticipated on the estimate (COI fee which we had told them ahead of estimate would be required, over $100 for 2 cardboard boxes, etc). After pushing back, a manager called and threatened to increase our monthly storage fees if we did not pay the additional moving charges. BEWARE OF THE POST-MOVE SHAKE-DOWN.
The foreman and his team of movers were professional, polite and efficient. They moved me quite seamlessly. There are no hidden fees and they are perfect with their services.Having moved a number of times the past three years, I can safely say they are the best movers I have utilized.
This was our first move with maffucci, We went from NY to SC, they came on time, great guys, moved, packed the furniture so good. Nothing broken! If I was to move again they are the ones I would call.

After searching for my first ever interstate moving company on the Internet I came across Bekins. Where they weren’t the least expensive they do have have a national reputation placing them among the top five movers in the USA. My wife was concern that we weren’t home at for the pickup. We entrusted that aspect of the move to her and she is as critical as can be. My daughter shared with us that the men were very professional and took great care with all of our belongings. She stated that she would definitely recommend Bekins to her friends and work colleagues.On the receiving end the delivery went flawlessly, they arrived on time and placed everything where directed.We would definitely use Bekins at the Long Island, NY location again and will recommend them to friends and family.
Absolutely THE best moving company around. I’ve used them now on 2 big moves and I wouldn’t think of ever using anyone else. The crew is extremely helpful and really make moving easy. They are very prompt, professional and well mannered. They won’t let you lift a thing(even if you try) and help box/pack fragile and expensive items as if they owned it themselves. “Love this company! My husband and I have moved a number of times over the past 15 years, and of all the movers and moving companies weve used we were happiest with Maffucci, so we used them a second time about 6 months ago. This second crew was even better than the first. There were 4 men who seemed to all get along as though theyd been working together for years, though apparently they had only recently met. They were fast and efficient, and they were extremely friendly from the second I opened the front door to the second they left 11 hours later. There was a slight discrepancy in the amount charged to my credit card, but they called me the following business day apologizing profusely and within a few days the over charged amount was credited back to my credit card. Youll hear no complaints from us.
Less than zero... They are THIEVES!!They stole a $750 drum set and $500 PA system. It was absolutely appalling. From the fact that it even happened, to the denials, then the confession, then I was accused of giving away my property! Then the guy that stole it gave it to his nephew that sold it!!! THEN the owner threw the whole crew under the bus and told me to press charges!!! You cant make this stuff up!No sorry, no restitution, no remorse... NO NOTHING.Do yourself a big favor and dont even think about using this outfit.
Moving is always challenging, difficult and overwhelming. The people at Maffucci were great! They came promptly and meticulously moved our items. They were professional and put 110% effort. The next time I move, they will be the first I call. I am very happy, they made the process smooth and easy.
Overall, an excellent moving company. Judd came out personally to provide an estimate for my move. I changed both the move dates and the amount of material after that estimate. The pricing estimate remained competitive and he accommodated all the changes. The final price came in pretty much as estimated. Support staff were patient with me and helpful. Actual moving staff on both ends were excellent, particularly the ones on the Long Island end. All goods were loaded and delivered with little incidence, except for minor scratches to floors and walls, which is why I cannot give a perfect score. Nevertheless, one might expect this from almost any moving company, so its perhaps a little unfair, but I cant give 4.75 stars. Grateful to God that I wound up moving with this company.
The Software company I work for- Fabkom used Maffucci last week for a move from one downtown NY location to another. From scheduling the move to post move everything has been pretty seamless. We found Maffucci from seeing a truck in our neighborhood a few months back. I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate and was greeted by a very friendly woman who helped me schedule appt and informed me that Judd the Owner of company would be coming himself to do the estimate. Judd called the day of to tell us he was running ahead of schedule which was great, he surveyed office and answered all questions we had. We were sent over a contract and all necessary insurance forms we requested for both our old building and new in a timely manner. I scheduled boxers be dropped off prior to move which they were and then those unused were deducted from our final bill as promised. The day of the move the two trucks arrived on schedule. Movers were all friendly and efficient, working together to get everything out of office and on to truck as quickly as possible. A few hours in they took a break for lunch then arrived at our new office, laid down the Masonite we requested and just as before worked in teams unloading and filling the office with all of our office furniture and computer equipment. Everything arrived in the condition we left it and as I stated previously movers were gracious and friendly. Overall an A+ experience. We received our invoice the day after our move. I did have a question about parking tickets which were accumulated during move (common- and stated in contract that we would be responsible). I just wanted to see a copy of tickets to make sure that they were in fact from our move but copies were sent over after I requested and everything was as it should. I would definitely recommend this company. Our office had a great experience using them.

I hired Bekins for my recent move from New York to California. They did an excellent job. From my initial meeting with Judd to the people that came to pack to the people that delivered my furniture, everyone was very professional and there were no surprises. After reading reviews of other moving companies, I was very afraid as to what was going to happen. I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything went. Judd explained things very well and put me at ease. His crew arrived on time and did an excellent job packing. The crew that delivered my things arrived on time as well and handled the unloading in a very professional way. There was no damage to anything. I would definitely use them again.
I have no complaints about the moving guys who did the actual move, i give them 5 stars for punctuality, professionalism and speed. The one star is for the office, their movers splintered off a piece of a pretty expensive dresser, not cheap to repair. We filed a claim and then received a phone call from a guy who is the manager who said we didnt take out insurance so we are basically beat. He offers $30.00 which is a joke. Then he said that no one ever takes the insurance so we saved $500 by not taking it. Well beer pursuing this further legally since$30 is completely ridiculous
I’m rating this on behalf of my mother because she can’t write English. I really do have to say at the time of the move my mother had no problem with the movers or anything. A lot of these guys are honest men who bust their chops to make a living, I get it. HOWEVER, between our move from LI to SC we noticed items were missing that were there at the time when everything was being packed up. We called the company, no response, called maffuci, no response, emailed and got the wrong people who forwarded us to other people.We filed a claim for the items my mom realized are missing and are now disputing it with the Bekins company even though we paid for an insurance it’s being declined. I wouldn’t recommend this selfhaul to anyone because of the management. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS. You will literally lose things under their supervision and then have to sign for boxes you haven’t even been able to check till weeks after you’ve moved only to be told that your claim is invalid.
We hired Beacon to move us from long Island to Florida. We discussed details with the salesman as well as the office staff. Certain requirements were not met. When we spoke with the dispatcher she had a very negative additude. The movers were on time but we had to ask them to put masks on. They delivered additional items to our family in Florida with no masks as well. We will not be using Beacon in the future.

I used this company when I was moving from Long Island to San Diego. Honestly, they were so amazing! Tamika, Jack the driver and Oscar the mover were all very pleasant to deal with. None of my items were broken and all my boxes arrived. They were very attentive and never let me feel like I was being ignored. Its hard to find a good moving company, which I did a TON of research online and had appraisers come telling me a ridiculous price to move. This company was so affordable and hands down great!
Maffucci Moving is hands down the best in the business. They did my move from Melville, NY to Frisco, TX They were reliable, careful with my stuff even my piano, and were courteous. They even drove my dog in their truck for me!! These guys are the best!

These movers know what they are doing and I was really impressed. I have never dealt with such an organized moving company. Every department were in full communication. If I had a question about anything concerning my move it was always answered no matter who was on the phone someone had an answer. It was great to know that they had my back every step of the way.

The Triple Crown guys are great. I used them to move cross-town in Manhattan and they were prompt, careful, thorough, and most of all helpful. I am a seasoned NYC renter who has moved many times and these guys are the best. Three very experienced guys showed up promptly and quickly got to work and had me in my new place within hours. The office office took the time to work through all the questions and issues I had and were very attentive. I will definitely be using them again in the future and recommending them to friends, family, and coworkers.

Similar to other 1 star reviews below, it is true that Malfucci/Bekins are indeed unprofessional and did not handle my stores move across the country well. They showed up with an unprofessional team, not trained, and not organized. The team packed my things which I paid extra for and then summarily lost and stole items from my delivery. When my packages arrived they were damaged or just completely missing. These guys definitely go through your items in transit and take things. THIS COMPANY IS THE STEREOTYPE NIGHTMARE FOR MOVING COMPANIES. Dont say you werent warned.

I recently used Bekins to move within Suffolk County, NY. The 4 man crew that showed up to my house were prompt, knowledgeable and very dedicated to making my familys move go as smoothly as possible. They were able to make my furniture fit into some tight spots, or broke down and put back furniture that didnt. The crew was very professional and extremely efficient. I used these movers to move my stuff from New York to Nevada.Their movers went through my stuff and stole from me! I had typed the boxes with a pink tape on purpose to see if they will open my boxes and go through them and when they delivered everything.. two boxes were missing the pink tape and had a clear tape on them instead so I checked my box, one had shoes in it and couple pairs of my sneakers were missing! One Nike running shoes, one gray Nike Air Force sneakers, Aldo sneakers. It might not sound like a lot was missing but those were my favorite shoes and they stole them! NOT OKAY! I paid 4000$ to have them move my stuff and tipped all the drivers 100$ each. I’m paying for a professional service so you as a business should make sure your workers don’t steal your customers stuff even if it’s small and they think we won’t notice! I noticed and want my sneakers back.
This was our first major moving experience — from west ooast to east coast.Home of 28 years and accumulations. Long process of sorting, dumping.... and packing and packing. We did that part ourselves. Bekins did the rest. We looked at pods / containers, but had too much stuff (their estimate of 13,000 pounds turned out to be accurate).Bekins driver John Schroeder was careful and conscientious in recording every box on the manifest, and let us sort, on arrival, which boxes were going to our NY Apt and which were going into storage.We were given a clear, itemized list of expenses. We were told of contingencies, and given a date range as to when the truck would most likely arrive. We were called by the driver several days ahead to keep us informed.The truck arrived to a drenching downpour — cold and wet snap end of April — and one of the local guys who was supposed to help John and one other mover didnt show, so he had to hustle to get two more workers, which showed up an hour later. Meantime, John and Peter showed heroic (if not Herculean) strength in getting some heavy furniture up three flights of stairs in our walk-up apt. By end of day, after everything was cataloged and delivered to apartment, they braved the rain again to take another 40 boxes and some furniture to our storage site.As far as weve seen so far, nothing was broken or damaged, and we have all items intact. Looking back, we are pleased with the Bekins experience, and would use them again.
We recently bought an apartment in NYC and had to move and store the entire contents for 4 months while the apartment was being renovated. Judd met with us, provided a fair estimate and signed us up. They packed on one day and moved us the next day. When we were ready to move in, they were there and on time. The move was simple, little stress and very professional and no breakage. I definitely recommend Bekins for your next move.
In June of 2016 an estimator came to my home AND my mother in laws home to give an estimate. We were moving into a larger home in North Carolina and were consolidating. The day the movers showed up I knew this was going to be bad. They complained that they had to move so many things and could not guarantee everything would fit! Well it didnt! so at 6am next morning (before closing) they got a 2nd truck to get remainder. I would have been fine with just that but in North Carolina it too 3 weeks and 3 different shipments to get my belongings! They lost the manifest and I would have lost my wifes bicycle if I did not realize it at the time. They broke 4,535.00 worth of items from bicycles to scratching my new homes floor-and complained yet again when we told them to move things to 2nd floor! FINALLY, after 7 months I got a check (minus 500 deductible) for 4,135.00. Oh! and when I tried to contact Amityville owner he cursed me out because he said I was impolite -lol! Thats all I could do at that point is laugh-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I had family photos all over the inside of the truck and not sure how many are still lost.
I booked Maffucci Movers and I must say it was a very positive experience. The price quoted was the price i paid and the movers were very professional and helpful. i will definitely recommend them to my friend and family.
Suffice to say that my move had 4 parts and both the office and onsite teams at Maffucci Bekins Moving & Storage were wonderful! They moved and stored my belongings for close to a month when all was said and done. Not one piece of furniture was broken! My experience with Bekins/Maffucci/Wheaton Worldwide Moving was terrible. After experiencing a very rushed and unprofessional delivery of my entire household items, I later discovered that a box which I had packed with some valuable items was delivered completely empty. Clearly during storage or transport a Bekins employee had lost the items. It is very distressing that moving company employees go through customers personal items. Bekins has denied responsibility for their employees actions because the box was delivered.They refuse to acknowledge that the items in the box were lost while under their care.
The best! I was in a super bind! The Covid virus forced me to move out of my NYC apartment as my lease was ending... I posted to facebook for a referral Within minutes the owner Judd called me personally His words Were Dont worry we are here to help! Th next day I had a proposal and 72 hours later his team showed up packed me up and moved me to a secure storage which he also facilitated!!!! 5 stars is an understatement! They are top notch!!! 100000 %!!!!
Our long distance move from Long Island to Florida was wonderful. Staff in Long Island was very responsive and the storage facility in Farmingdale is spotless. All of our furniture arrived in perfect condition.

I contracted with Paul Schwartz of Maffucci Storage Corp., the Long Island Affiliate of Bekins Van Lines. The experience was beyond satisfactory, i.e., they moved both furniture items as well as miscellaneous breakable items (which they meticulously packed for me); everything was delivered to two different Long Island addresses completely unscathed, undamamage and 100% in a timely fashion. I would certainly reccomend Maffucci Storage Corporation whether you are contemplating a local move . . . or a move of a longer distance.
From my first call to get an estimate to the day of the move, this was a move made in Heaven!! The movers (Hardy Brothers) treated my belongings, boxes and furniture with the upmost care. It rained on the moving day, and I was concerned about the new rugs in my home.....the movers covered my stairs and rugs!!! I highly recommend Benkins!!
The team at Triple Crown has consistently delivered high quality customer service despite the service challenges associated to business on Long Island and New York. Whether your move is cross country, or your a snowbird just looking to go to Florida for the winter, you really cant go wrong with Triple Crown. One of the other moving agents we solicited put it best by saying most of the time I walk in to a house and look for cards from other movers - if I see one from Bekins I simply let the customer know they already have a quote from a great company and are in good hands. What else can we say folks, Bekins is the best.
Movers beware, this company made a mess out of my cross country move and lost and/or stole items from my delivery. They sent their B team, and various items were literally missing without a trace on arrival. Dont bother getting insurance for their moves, its just one BIG SCAM. Seriously, pay a little more elsewhere and get the quality and peace of mind you deserve.

Jerry and his crew did a GREAT job of making the pain of moving, actually as enjoyable as moving can be......All three of the gentleman were moving and packing machines and they worked great as a team.......Jerry even helped us with decorating when bringing in the furniture, and we took his advice!!!!!! I would like to thank Maffucci Bekins for making the move as enjoyable as possible!!!!!
WARNING… They broke my $7,500 dining table, and they wanted to pay 30 cent a pound for the damage. They also tell me that my insurance have to pay for it. I called the bank to stop the payment but since they already got a signature from me in advance, my bank tells me that there is nothing to do anymore.

We got a SHADY salesmen, who never disclosed EVERYTHING that they charge for. After everything was in their possession and in their storage, we had to get something out so we called them and they proceeded to tell us that they have an ACCESS FEE....... to access YOUR BELONGINGS.... They were going to charge us $198 to access OUR stuff! Every. Single. Time.Please don’t use these people if you want to be spending thousands of dollars for a DISHONEST company. So unprofessional.
Tamika was very professional with helping me move and getting me ready for the move I made from New York to Maryland. Anything I needed she made sure I had and didnt Hesitate....I would highly recommend her to anyone of my friends or family keep up the great customer service.
I found their men to be efficient and courteous and very capable.The salesperson, Ken, was amazing.In the end, my dealings with Judd on my claim was resolved.The move was successful and my experience was better than I had expected the move to go.

We stopped getting quotes once we got theirs and hired them. They arrived on time, worked very hard, packed everything perfectly, and moved us without damaging anything. We were very pleased and would highly recommend them.

These people are unprofessional. Not only were they rude over the phone, but when they arrived at my new home with all my items, they had one driver and no labor to help. They required me to help unload the truck because the driver could not do it alone . The owner then proceeded to yell me at over the phone because I complained that I had to unload half of the truck. I paid over $3000 for that poor service. Do not use them!!!
Owners, dispatcher and managers very rude and combative. Men doing the move did their job, but the whole move was a disaster and left us shaken. Could never recommend them.
Customer service with this company is the worst. Made me rush to meet the drive for deliver, and is now claiming they will not be delivering for more than a week or more.

I caught there salesman with his penis out pissing on my neighbors fence and chased him off. There was a gas station 1 block away with a bathroom, he thought the front of my house was a good piss spot.

2022-03-18Used Maffucci twice! Once for a local move and a second time for a move from the East Coast to West Coast. First point of contact Diane was upfront, honest and thorough explained the process , provided clear understanding of the estimate and what to expect. Because of her I knew I wanted to use them for major move across Country. Diane knew this move would be major and worked closely with me and involved management to provide a clear understanding of what would happen to my shipment from start to finish. I needed reassurance because I had a horrible experience with another company years ago. Maffucci pulled together a team and got their best driver for the job specifically for my shipment . Driving across country East to West in the middle of winter can be treacherous so I had many concerns . The driver John Woughter and partner Paolo were amazing and John reached out to me throughout his trip across country. He gave me an eta and it was precise. He arrived with my belongings along with a beautiful handmade house warming gift. What could have been my worst nightmare (2 lot shipment with multiple end destinations ) went smoothly because of John Woughter and a very well organized and coordinated effort at the time of delivery. Job executed without incident because of my driver John and his LEADERSHIP making sure my belongings were cared for from start to finish! 2022-02-08Recently did a local move with Maffucci. Took the stress out of an incredibly stressful time for me. The entire team was so professional from Judd, the owner who gave me options and estimates, the drivers and movers who were efficient, skilled and respectful, to the office staff, especially Tamika, who was kind and cheerful to deal with. I could not have asked for a better experience. Maffucci far exceeded all of my expectations.

2022-01-05BUYER BEWARE! Dealing with this company was a living nightmare. I was quoted $490 per month for storage which turned into $750+ per month. The $490 was confirmed by the salesman and office manager, prior to the move twice. Once they had the contents of my house, the story changed. I received a call from billing after first leg that they were charging my credit card $4,000. Quote was $3,032 including storage at $490 per month. Called salesman, Michael, he hung up on me. Asked for a callback from manager, no callback. Second leg, same story. Initial quote was $4,390.33 plus $490 a month storage. Billed $7,658.32. The Bill of Lading on the day of the move listed the amount due for second leg at $8,003.32. Unscrupulous. Review every line of every document.Estimated weight by salesman, 7,371 lbs.; billed weight, 9,800 lbs. Why do they use a salesman to estimate the contents of the house since his calculations were so miserably off???Kudos to Kevan and his team who worked tirelessly on the first leg of our move. No comment on second leg. Less than stellar.Save yourself some heartache. Dont use this company.

2022-04-18We recently used Maffucci for our move within Queens, NY. They arrived on time and immediately got to work. I was nervous because I packed 50+ plants (small - medium pots). Not one leaf was damaged, and everything arrived in perfect condition. I highly suggest using these movers. If we move in the future, we would 100% choose Maffucci again.

2022-06-23Very helpfull, and friendly. Every person from the office to the guys that loaded ,and the guys that unloaded very friendly. The men that were at both my old house and my new house made me feel very comfortable. They were very adaptable to my needs and at every moment was professional, even when things werent straight text book they re-assured me things would work out and they did. I would recommend this company and then men and women who work for them to anyone.

2022-03-14I’ve moved quite a bit and finding a good mover is tough. Owner was nice, office staff were nice and helpful. However the moving service is very expensive. I moved 45 minutes away last year with a whole extra room of stuff and that was $700 cheaper. Review your estimate well because there will be additional charges, which are not at all clear on the sheet they have you sign at the end. They recommend paying with a CC and there is a charge to do so. Charge to pack, materials and to unpack. Movers were friendlier than most. However they were not honest about the time they arrived or left with their employer. I paid for an hour of travel time and that extra hour they didn’t work. I moved within 4 towns. Movers were in one of those towns. Movers said they unpacked my TVs for the $75 charge and didn’t. Back of my inexpensive book case came off and they left it, didn’t put the shelves in bookcase or back in the China cabinet. Broke a lamp and said they’d charge one less TV packing to make up for it. I was charged for all TVs. They swept the broken glass into the corner and left it. Items were clearly labeled upstairs, basement or rooms in main level. Majority landed in a room on the main floor. Moving service all around is subpar so might as well pay less elsewhere.

2021-07-01I would highly recommend Malfucci to anyone in the NY area looking for a high quality and professional moving company. We moved locally on long island and they had 8 guys load two trucks and excuted flawlessly in less time than I was quoted. The movers were great- very professional and just a great solid group of guys who have fun and enjoy what they do. Recommend A+++++
