I am a Chevrolet salesperson and I loved how great my sales manager Ron and business manager Mike helped me get into a new Spark. Ive never had a new car before and my last experience buying a car (before I started working here) was HORRIBLE. It was nice to see the process from the other side! It was so easy!
I purchased my 2018 Chevrolet Suburban from a Vermont Dealership because you and local dealers did not have a used option available. Within 3 weeks of having the vehicle, the A/C stopped working. John and Jessica were completely honest with me about the issue, my extended warranty coverage I purchased, and even suggested calling the other dealership for compensation. They fixed the issue, THANKFULLY. They are great advocates for your customers and you have now got me sold for any future service needed to my vehicles. Thank you for your support!
Small town dealer without all the presure and gimmicks. Had my previous Chevrolet Malibu serviced there for years. Checked the inventory on the Internet and connected with the Internet Sales person.Having found the same model at larger dealers I got a similar offer without going out of the area. Whalen was laid back and an actual pleasant experience. No rush no hassle. Purchased exactly what we wanted at the best price.
Awesome so far, just brought the vehicle home to Onronta this afternoon. Awesome deal, but they have an automsted email that is a few days behind, example: they sent me an email about the process for financing when I literally was there paying cash for the vehicle I purchased?.
Whalen was the best dealership I have dealt with in years and they were so accommodating to my needs, I am now a customer for life! I love my new 2019 Chevy Equinox LT and actually really enjoy driving my car and know it is reliable and was just the right deal to make it work for my budget. Thank you to Mr. Whalen, Ron & Cody!! My husband bought a Chevy pick up from Whalen and he loves this truck.. Bruce was our salesman and we couldn’t ask for a better sales person.. This dealership is so friendly and they make people feel like they are welcome when they walk through the door.. this is very important. We have been to other dealerships where no one speaks or smiles and it does reflect whether or not you go back to do business with them.. So keep on smiling and greet people with smiles and hellos.. It does make a big difference..
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Mark went above and beyond to help my wife get a car. He was super nice and helped us out a lot. No rush and no pressure. Answered all of our questions. He gave us his complete attention. A couple years ago I bought my car from Carmody Ford in Greenwich but I know where I’m going next. If only every salesman could be like Mark. Thanks again!
The day before my family and I were to leave for vacation, we had unexpected brake and rotor issues. My husband, without an appt, stopped at Whalen’s who immediately got him in. The customer service was amazing! She was running around getting the needed parts that weren’t right there in their shop. She also gave my husband a truck to take my daughter to where she needed to be as this was all unexpected. I am so grateful to Whalen’s and especially to Tammy for taking such good care of my family and making sure our much needed vacation happened!
Service was good for my vehicle, although the experience for my ex wifes vehicle which I own wasnt. I wasnt happy to find out after I asked them to do a radio update that all my presets were deleted. The mechanic knew about it but the service adviser failed to let me know. Not a big deal. I brought my truck in to fix a rattle, it was still under warranty. Yet I got charged $20 to fix it. I talked to the service manager instead of issuing me a refund told me to come into the dealer and he would take the $20 voucher. Really? Come on. Buying from Whalen is good, servicing a vehicle there is mediocre compared to other bigger dealerships.
I am changing my review, although the sales people are great, Whalen did not make good after the sale. My battery died shortly after I bought the car. I had it tested and it was... bad,bought in in to Whalen to be replaced and they refused to replace the battery, I had to go out and buy a new battery for a car that I just bought. I guess I wont be a repeat customer after all. I Ill be sending my receipt for the new battery to them to see if they back up their sale..btw they gave me the run around and did not back up their sale..

Bruce Patire went above and beyond his duty by patiently walking alongside us in our process to find our next perfect vehicle. We were welcomed by everyone with a smile and treated as family. I just bought my first new car ever at Whalen Chevrolet so that I can be prepared for school next semester. My dad is a long time customer at Whalen so he told me to check them out. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. I will be sending my friends to Whalen as well.
I met George Whalen in 1998 after breaking my leg . Actually shattering it . I had been an automotive student. We were both loaded I to a plane and he offered me a job once I got better . As life goes it was the begging of a long friendship. I bought cars and trucks and had service from his service dept and auto body and I referred many family members and friends ever since. Its a nice dealership in a country setting . During the general motors thing when a lot of dealerships got eliminated in I 2008 . George survived because despite his disability having Spinal muscular Atrophy type three . George is of the highest caliber business man . He sells new car and used and does all the service they need at his facilities in Greenwich ,NY. Across from Saratoga on route 29. George has also the Vans for the disabled as well. He is a guy you can get advice from and who takes time with you and treats you like family . Thats my friend ,George Whalen. At Whalen Chevrolet in Greenwich,N.Y.
Knowledgeable, accommodating, helpful and they put up with everything while i questioned everything to death since i could not physically go to the dealership because I run my own pre owned dealership so they did everything by the phone and brought me my car! I could not ask for a better experience with a fellow dealership and it was top notch! Thank you thank you thank you!
My Wife and I where traveling through to visit some family over in Cambridge NY 2 Saturdays ago. We stopped for some lunch in Greenwich at the Greenwich House of Pizza just a crossed the street from Whalen Chevrolet. When we came out from having our lunch our car would not start. It was late in the afternoon so Whalens service department was closed but two of the salesman grabbed a jump box and came over and got our car started. That goes to show that they still have that small home town touch in an otherwise corporate world. They are great over at Whalen Chevrolet.

2022-01-07Avoid service at all cost!! Not sure if the change in name caused a change in staff but not people of their word and front end is completely unorganized. Had some trouble with prior work completed and brought the car back in to be checked. Was quoted one price for the parts and labor to fix the issue. When I arrived to pay the quoted price they said that didnt include prior diagnostic and it was double. How is someone suppose to make an educated decision on how they proceed with a repair if they arent given the complete price. Well bring our cars somewhere where folks can give accurate pricing estimates and stand by them. Beware..

2021-03-12When I purchased the vehicle, Bob Bassett helped me out so much and did a great job!He is a great salesman!!! I would recommend him anyday!!!The only thing that I would like to have done is that the car be completely detailed again it was very dusty and dirty under seats and in compartments. The outside also needed to be washed and waxed again. I could tell it was sitting in the parking lot for a little while.Is this some that Whalens can do?Due to the fact that the car was purchased during a snow storm these things were not seen.

2020-10-06Just wanted to thank the service manager John Green for his help with my 2017 Suburban. I came in overwhelmed as I am from downstate and needed a new transmission. John worked with corporate to get me a good price . The transmission was installed in a few days. John walked me through the process and made a tough situation a good experience. 2020-02-26Im purchasing a Corvette from out of state and needed a dealership to visually inspect and check the computer for errors/issues. The dealership near Mechanicsville was a week out on appointments and would not squeeze me in. They also wanted to charge +$250. Whalen was more than fair on the pricing and worked me in the same day. John Green in the service dept and his service manager went through the entire car and gave me a detailed report. I cant express how very satisfied i am for them helping me with this once in a life time purchase. Eternally grateful. Brian.
