Majestic Theatre in New York
Simple process to get into theater, have ID and vaccine card ready. Show was exactly 2 and a half hours long, to include a 15 minute intermission. Small theater, so all seats are pretty good, closer is better, of course. Got some fun photos outside and inside. Great performance of Phantom, lots of scene changes, great music, singing, acting, dancing. Chandelier dropped right before intermission, I missed the start, went quick. Saw show decades ago and still wonderful now, with my adult daughter
Phantom of the Opera:PROS: Ive seen this play many times in this theatre and I always liked it. This new Christine is very talented and shows promise. Beautiful entranceway to the theatre and the staff is nice and professionalCONS: This theatre is in desperate need of renovation. The seats and carpets are all worn out. Also, the performance was lackluster. Terrible acting by most, and the Phantom couldnt sing at all. They also changed many scenes like the graveyard, masquerade, and the Music of the night final scene.OVERALL: I get that you need to change it up, and I like that they tried but they did not do a good job at it. I would wait for the next generation of performers before going
June 2022Wow!! What a location, came to see the Phantom of the Opera. Lines was wrap around the building but it was quick to come inside. Still have to wear mask mandatory. Show was amazing and story was awesome how it was displayed. Building felt hot even at night that was the only bad thing.
Wonderful theater to see Phantom of the Opera in. Getting here by subway was very easy as there was a stop only a couple blocks away. Lines formed on both sides of the entrance before the show, but staff moved us quickly in. My only negative was the restrooms on the upper floors. A full house looking for bathrooms at intermission really overwhelms the stalls. The lowest level has the most restrooms.
No steps to seats in orchestra, very accessible for my family member. Unfortunately, there are a lot of steps to the restrooms which made it difficult for them. Very nice leg room compared to other Broadway theaters. Bathrooms were a little dirty, but were big and moved quickly.
This was the highlight of our New York trip, we went to the tkts booth by Times Square to purchase the tickets, got great seats, very close to the front mezzanine, the Phantom of the Opera is the greatest show you can watch here, amazing performances and a top notch production, a must do when visiting Manhattan.
We went there to watch the phantom of the opera and it was truly the best play I had seen in my whole life (yes, even better than the ones in Paris). I really loved all the actors/singers, the costumes, the decors… everything was literally amazing. It is worth the price and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!!
Phantom still reigns as the king of shows to see live and in the original theater. Many precautions taken, from vaccine card proof, masking and metal detector screening. The show is amazing and mesmerizing. How to do the illusions with lighting surprised me the most.Drinks are expensive $21 each. Soda is $10 for a bar poured drink.Be prepared to be patrolled by mask enforcement. They were quick to kick out repeat offenders.I was fine with all the precautions. Its done to safely experience a wonderful show.
Attended the 34th Anniversary of Phantom Of The Opera…and on that same night celebrated another huge milestone for the production. Emilie Kouatchou became the first Woman of African descent to hold the lead role of Christine Daaé!!!!! And she is magnificent!!!! Kudos to the entire Phantom crew at The Majestic. Bravo!!!
We came to our first Broadway show at this location. We saw the phantom of the opera. While waiting in line outside, we took in the very New York vibe. Once we got to the front of the line, there were people checking the vaccination cards along with the id. We felt very safe with their plan to check for vaccinations. While inside, it had a very classic feel to it. The show itself, could not have been more impressive. When people say Broadway is the top. That is as accurate as I could have communicated. Very happy with this location. Very happy with our experience. One should not go to New York without seeing a Broadway show here.
My rating of the phantom play: 5/5My rating of the theater itself: 2/5The only reason my score is even a 3 is because of the absolutely outstanding performance we watched. The transitions were flawless, Ben Crawford as the phantom is a treasure (he definitely didnt phone it in, not even for a Tuesday) and the sets were excellent.HOWEVER, the majestic theater is in appalling condition for such a famous theater. Age is no excuse for the horrible flaws it has. (94 years old vs Proctors in Schenectady NYs 95, clearly a theater this old CAN be in better shape).Cramped seats with no foot room, youre basically on top of the person youre sitting next to. Two alcoholic beverages cost us $46. There were THREE nasty bathroom stalls for the women on the upper level and the line was nearly 60 girls long with an employee yelling at everyone that they will do a seat hold if everyone isnt back in their seats for the 15 minute intermission (literally impossible, also your customers paid hundreds of dollars for their seats. We are not school children to be scolded)The stairs are steep and narrow for the mezzanine. No elevator, not handicap accessible on the upper levels. No food in the theater either at all. Not a huge complaint but I really expected more all things considered.Play itself was excellent, I recommend front row mezzanine for an unobstructed view and to fully experience the phantoms antics on the upper level of the structure. Its a shame the majestic theater is too cheap to shut down for a period of time and renovate. But go ahead and let them tell you its because its historic.Tiny pink seats, nasty small bathrooms, and non handicap accessible upper levels are not historic. Do better.
Upon arrival, guests are made to show proof of vaccination with our ID, then go through a bag search, and finally enter the theater to present our tickets for the show. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely! Each area—including the bathrooms, were very clean, the seats were comfortable, the stage was gorgeous, and the staff did a wonderful job enforcing rules especially in regards to our safety from the pandemic. If you’re a new or old Broadway fan, I highly suggest seeing this classic show.
The Phantom Of the Opera is playing here at this time and the old, stately Majestic Theatre provides the proper environment to house a musocal about a haunted opera house. The seating makes it easy to view the show and the staff was wonderful. The seats are a little narrow so you will be seated closely to your neighbor.
Nice theater overall. We sat too far back to see details and there was some kind of overhang which partially blocked view of props rising. The sound system was great though. I didnt like after letting us in that we were prevented from going in. We waited closely while others unmasked stood or brushed together standing room only in the foyer (to sell cocktails? ). Once we were let in (15 minutes? )it was fine. Seating size was typical and temperature comfortable. Music was enjoyable, symphony great, acting and singing awesome! My daughter loved the experience.
The matinee showing of Phantom of the Opera was fantastic. I would love to see an improvement to the acoustics (multi-singer parts and lower voice segments were a little distorted), and a couple extra inches in the seats would have been nice. But consuming art is a vital part of our society, and The Majestic Theatre serves up amazing helpings of quality art. I would happily come back.
My first Broadway show ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. Majestic is a good theater, had a great seat and the show was marvelous - a musical , spellbinding theatrical treat by superior performances. One of the best experiences I have ever had. I’ll come back again and watch other Broadway shows. Thank you Majestic and thanks ‘Phantom’ for such a wonderful experience !
I loved the show. Saw it just a couple days ago. Christine was flat out amazing. The phantom was not casted great. They made him seem nerdy and chubby. The point of the play is that Christine is courted by both Raoul and the phantom. In the play when he walks down the staircase in the masquerade scene he seems like such a dork. He stomps and makes a scene. He ought to be light on the foot and handsome. He cant seem like a weird theater kid. Come across as handsome and tender! Other than the phantom the play was amazing! Loved the music and the venue!
Saw ‘Phantom of the Opera’ here with a group and enjoyed the show. Staff was helpful and security directions were clear. I suggest buying tickets beforehand and arriving at the ticket window a minimum of 15-20 minutes before the show starts. Fun activity for friends or family visiting the city, if not to try at least once for the experience of a theater in very close proximity to the insanity that is Times Square.
The show was great!!! Easy 5 stars and more. The only issues was that the staff working we so RUDE! They were shining flashlights on people being rude to them and the one thing that they acted rude to us was my wife was drinking her coke and they said as soon as you take a sip pull your mask up. WOW!!! Don’t serve drinks if you don’t want people mask to be down. My suggestion to is don’t be rude to the customers who is paying the salaries. The show itself was excellent!!! Great music and acting!!!
There’s reason why Phantom of the Opera remains the most iconic show on Broadway. From the actors to the special effects and costumes, everything is just majestic (sorry, I had to). Registered for their lottery, and both my friend I won a ticket for a little over $40. They were orchestra tickets too! What a STEAL.
The shows great the place is a bit old and can use some upgrade . The seats are ok but dont get the back end orchestra seats as the roof will block your full view of the stage. Luckily the seats in front were all empty so we shifted to front . Had to see it once but sadly aint worth the second visit unless its free.
Beautiful theatre showing Phantom of the Opera. The line to get in can look long, but the security staff/ticket check is very efficiently run. There are plenty of staff to help you inside to find your seat or any amenities you need.Food and drinks are served on most levels and areas, and at the intermission there are people selling water and wine in the theatre.Exiting the building can be a bit slow given there is only one way out.The show is fantastic and gives you a whole immersive experience the whole way through.
Beautiful theater. Very strict with covid regulations. You have to wear a mask from the moment you are inline to the moment you walk outside, of course during the show too. We got a drink, a soda and a water and it was 45$. A little overpriced like most theaters but at least you can refill your soda at the bar. The show was spectacular. Amazing experience!
Most of the seats, especially on the first floor, are perfectly fine seats. We were in section I, which i actually think has a slight advantage, not just because of cheaper price, but also because the seats become raised via stadium-like steps starting at row I. Personally none of the most expensive tickets are worth it. The $140-$160 are great seats.
Show is perfect, I had never been to a broadway show before let alone a musical - I went with my girlfriend for her birthday and it blew us away. Well worth the money. We had far from premium seats but could see everything great. Staff were warm and polite. Nothing but positive to say!
People in the venue were carrying on loud conversations during the entire performance in the front orchestra $200-$300 seats, and no one did anything. They got up to use the bathroom during the middle of the show and were then let back in by the staff before intermission! People here also refuse to wear masks and the staff do nothing. Don’t waste your money. Had a very expensive seat and experience completely ruined.
Our son had Phantom of the Opera on his bucket list. We were thrilled to get front row tickets at Majestic. After researching, we learned that Phantom of the Opera opened in 1988 at the Majestic Theatre and has been playing there ever since. The Majestic is located at 247 West 44th Street, between Seventh Avenue and Eighth Avenue. The Majesticopened in 1927. It’s still absolutely beautiful today!!
We visited the Majestic Theatre to watch our first Broadway play - Phantom of the Opera. The theatre was a little old, but the performance was stunning. The theatre chairs are like all theatre chairs from 100+ years ago, in that they are very straight up and if youre over 56, youre probably not going to have that much leg room. The staff were courteous and tried their best to make sure that everybody was safe (we went during COVID, and they had people watching masks and checking vaccine cards and IDs, which made us feel safe). The drinks are overpriced (my husband refuses to tell me what he paid for my bottle of water, haha), but its all part of the experience. If you dont want to overpay for water and wine, make sure you drink your fill before you come to the theatre, or go somewhere afterwards to celebrate!Everyone deserves to see this show live at least once in their lifetime, and now my greatest dreams have been fulfilled.
I heard wonderful things about Phantom of The Opera. But, when I went to see it I really wasn’t so happy. The lead female role when she sung her voice was very high pitched making it almost impossible to understand what she was saying. And she was a major part of the show so it made it hard to follow what was going on.
I’ve been to the Majestic over 40x over the years to see Phantom, I was at the 30th anniversary show, I was there for the 1st show after Covid 19 and I’ve done the backstage tour. Overall I love The Majestic but the few things that have been occurring over time is really infuriating. I know the staff can only talk to patrons so many times about phone usage etc and the talking during the performance has become bad. I now find myself always trying to sit in the first row to eliminate as much sound as possible but to no avail. I will use yesterday’s 5pm performance as the example. Why are guests being allowed in to the theater at 535pm and of course they’re seats were in the middle of the 2nd row so half the row has to get up and exit etc. There was a time where the theater was absolutely silent (when the auction started) but not anymore. It’s disappointing because I absolutely LOVE The Phantom of the Opera. It would be so awesome if management would have staff be a little more strict and if guests are that late well they shouldn’t be allowed entry until intermission.
Saw Phantom of the Opera and was blown away by the theater and the set. The only criticisms I have are the outside workers (helping keep the lines moving efficiently) were extremely rude and unclear with their instructions. Many of the ushers were the same way. I get that they are sick of the same issues day after day, but there are always going to be first-timers wandering around not knowing where to go. Help us learn, dont send us random places only to be told we are, again, in the wrong place. It was a great production and I would definitely see it again.
Beautiful inside, performance almost brought me to tears! My only problem was the attitude with one of older seat finders. To me he was rude and yelling at people. For example, one individual dropped something and the man began to yell at him as he picked up his property.
On Sunday, May 15th, I saw Phantom of the Opera with my immediate and extended family. During intermission my husband bought wine for four family members. He spent $124 on those drinks; that’s $31 a plastic cup for bad wine. There was no listing for prices and no transparency about costs. He felt obligated to leave a tip on top of that. Highway robbery. For Broadway, Phantom has some of the lowest priced tickets, but they make up for it this way and do not disclose the costs. Do not buy drinks or food there. The entire second act was ruined for us.
Phantom is 100/10! This was my 3rd time seeing it and I will always come back to see it again! Majestic theater was amazing as well. The staff was excellent and upgraded our seats since some of the closer rows were available. We had a marvelous time and truly enjoyed our experience!Insta: @andiamoadventure
Quite dated and a bit lacking in efficient facilities. Cool old-school vibe though.Having never been to any other broadway theater maybe thats the norm. Production was good. Enjoyed the show and ushers did a pretty good job of keeping idiots out of the aisles during the show
A tourist trap, made just for pure profit purposes, while giving a barely mediocre show in return with no artistic innovation whatsoever! Definitely not living up to the reputation! I went to see Phantom of the Opera, since I love the story, i read the book and watched the 2004 movie (btw movie is so much better). Also, i saw many theater and opera shows around the world. The show had nothing special. And it was very rushed, you could almost feel that the actors were just mechanically doing their work without a lot of passion running from one scene to another without acting too much or making the atmoshpere lyric. The bride scene was so obsolete and cheap, a friend of mine who didnt knwo the story didnt get the point. I mean, its Broadway, they could use some display tehcnology, right? On top of it all, as soon as the show stopped, all the staff was kicking us out in a very rude away, not allowing us to take a photo. Youd think that for the super expensive tickets, and the very mediocre show, they would at least be nice to you -they should be ashamed! Only the location and the orchestra saved the day!
Saw fanta of the Oprah it was good but they did the biggest moment the peak of sorts too early... I suppose thats more about the play... Uh the sound of computer whirring was ever present and the chairs couldnt recline also no space between rows, so the awkward slide by was still awkward as ever
We had problems with our tickets, sold by an unofficial third party that scamed us. The theater was very helpful and comprehensive of our situation, although they couldnt help us directly with the problem. We came back to the show two days later and they treated us very kindly. Best regards to the staff of the Majestic, who by themselves made the show worth it.
The Phantom of the Opera is the longest running musical in broadway history. That’s not a secret. Why has Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece stood the test of time? It’s an easy question to answer and one that will continue to be answered the same way. Visceral beauty and romance will forever be ingrained in the hearts and minds of humanity and this timeless tale captures it magnificently.
Why going to the Majestic???Simply because this is the place where you can see The Phantom of the Opera in Broadway!I knew the music since a long time and as I was in New York with my family I couldnt have had any other option than bringing them to this show. The play was just amazing and all the singers so impressive especially The Phantom and of course Christine...Definitely a MUST SEE if youre around 👍🏻
Love this wonderful theatre that was built in 1926, it is beautiful on the inside and has a real classic look to it and is well-maintained. We saw the Phantom of the opera here. The sound was also fantastic, we were on the balcony and still had good seats and could see the play fine. I have posted some pictures to show what it looks like from our seats. Very enjoyable, will definitely go again next time I’m in New York.
Wow! 👏👏 This was over all my expectations. It was almost like an illusionist show - stuff appearing and disappearing all over the place. Sat in middle of second row in the orcestra and I was so satisfied. Felt like it was a private show and I was watching the show alone. Saw the details of the beautiful costumes, actors and props, but wasnt too close that I couldnt see the bigger picture. Bought the tickets online about 3 months in advance. It is quite pricey, but absolutely worth it! Actually there are many ways to get discount tickets, even win tickets from lotteries.I had never been to a Broadway show before, so I chose something classic. I wish I come back to NY some day and see more.
Beautiful interior. We had center seats first mezzanine, first row and they were priced at $150 ea. Fantastic production! The first African American Christine was fabulous, as well as Raul and the Phantom. Unbelievable vocal ranges!!! For quite a few of the cast, this was their first Broadway production and youd never know it. The theater and production did not disappoint! Highly recommend the theater and this production.
Took the wife and stepdaughter and stepdaughters significant other to see The Phantom of the Opera on January 12, 2022. The 7 pm show and had a great time! The cast tried their heart out and it showed. The show was done very meticulously and we all had an awesome time. Masks are 100% strictly enforced and the were no issues with anyone being foolish about it. I would recommend seeing this show in this theater to anyone. We will definitely be back! Thank you crew of the Majestic Theater!!
Beautiful theater, Sadly the bar and concessions were closed. I’m sure without a global crisis it would be an amazing stop. The show (The Phantom of the Opera) was amazing. Seats are a bit small and looked uncomfortable for larger guests. Anybody relatively tall can block your view if you’re in the mezzanines.
This was my 3rd time seeing The Phanton of the Opera, but our first time seeing it on Broadway! It was a special getaway weekend to take our daughter to see our all-time favorite show that shes wanted to see for so long. The theater is smaller than the other venues where weve seen the Phantom and it provided a lovely, quaint experience. What an honor to have been able to see the longest running show on Broadway... and our all time favorite show as well!
Recently saw the phantom of the opera here. What a time capsule of Americana. Every molding packed with detail. Candy for the eyes of any fan of fine craftsmanship. I would say not the largest venue. (This is NYC) I would say the most enjoyable as well as thought out. The set design, and stage crew were phenomenal. They draw you in, and keep you there till the last min, when the lights illuminate and bring you back to reality. The cast was one of the best I have seen in such a performance magical. The orchestra was flawless. Any audiophile would agree. If you have the ability to catch any show. Let this be your choice.
It was a wonderful experience and I enjoyed The Phathom of the Opera. It was my oldest daughters Birthday wish to go see it and we did. It was a beautiful Broadway play and we enjoy ourselves except some people feels that when the theater goes dark its give them the right to pull down their masks. No you can not do that. You must wear your mask in the theater at all times, so that the actors and actress dont get sick from you and they will shut down the theater. When that happens they are out of work. If you needed time to breathe or to drink get up and go to the lounge or go outside. Be considered to others and not be selfish and thinking of yourself. Blessings 😁 🙌
The place was nice; the play was good. The only thing I didnt like was this little man holding the sign to mask up kept walking through during intermission bothering everyone to pull up their masks. It was really overkill since you had to be vaccinated to be in there anyway.
As a Christmas present for my wife, I bought tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera, which we originally watched over 25 years ago in Toronto. Unfortunately, ahead of the show, I started dealing with a medical issue that required crutches, and there is no elevator to the mezzanine level. This was not a problem, however, as the good folks there upgrade my seats to the floor level at no extra charge, which was GREATLY appreciated.
Mr. Krapp is the man to thank for this gorgeous theater. A placard is placed outside the front doors before entering the main lobby of this majestic --- no pun intended --- theater. As old as this theater is, its still very charming and it holds Broadways longest running play, the Phantom of the Opera (in my opinion, the best Broadway play of all-time).
Took my senior mother for the phantom of the opera showing on a Saturday night. Good show, building is not ada compliant and no elevators or escalators. 80yrs old had to take the stairs which was difficult given the knee issues. They also line you up outside during the cold/snow/rain as you enter when there is plenty of space in the entrance to do so instead. Once show is over and most people are waiting for their pickups there is a little too much push from random employees to exit the building a bit too quick. Seating seemed off, lots of people during one area and another areas with not many - I would think social distancing should still be maintained as Covid slows down
The play we saw (The Phantom of the Opera) was fantastic! Amazing job by all cast and crew. My husband and I loved the performance and would go back to see other plays. The play itself is a 5/5.Only major issue was there are not enough restrooms.(The closest washroom to me only had 3 stalls). When intermission ended there was still a huge line for the ladies washroom. That was a downside of the majestic theatres itself. But everything else was great!
Great theatre experience here. Comfortable seats, though they are a little on the small side. We saw phantom of the opera here and it did not dissapoint. Only issue was they really need more restrooms. You are lucky if you can get into the bathroom during intermission. Massive lines. Friendly staff and ushers also.
Beautiful theatre 🎭 Everyone was overwhelmed with how gorgeous it was inside. Restrooms were easy to get to and get back from. Purchase goods before the show because they exit patrons on the street instead of going back out through the lobby. Show was fabulous. Loved it.
Am amazing experience! We went to see The Phantom of The Opera on the weekend it came back after the long Covid forced break, the show was simply incredible! The performers are admirable and the stage settings is breathtaking! We enjoyed every single moment.Theres a requirement to show proof of vaccination in order to get in and everybody must wear masks throughout the entire show, anywhere in the theatre.
Beautiful historic theatre, home to Phantom of the Opera. This record breaking production is a terrific fit for this time period throwback of artistic residence.Despite the fact that our performance was full (it was a Saturday night, after all), we had no issues picking up our will call tickets. We were quickly escorted into the ticket booth area and received quick, polite instruction on our third row seats.Lavatories were easily accessible. Concession snacks are available for sale at your seat during intermission.Tip on purchasing tickets...check the Playbill website as they have some fabulous discounts on current productions.Enjoyed this theatre and look forward to visiting the Majestic again on my next business trip.
Overall nice experience with the theater. Line to get in wrapped two blocks prior to the show but moved quick. Performance started ~15 minutes late, not sure if thats typical or if it was due to the line. Easy to get to the seats, good view even from up top, good sound as well. Ushers could time late coming patrons better.
Phantom is great for sticking to the original staging of the show, even if its a little dated. Queuing in lobby pre-show has people packed in like a sardine can. No bad seat in the house, but be advised, there is not much legroom and the seats were musty. It also was very warm in the balcony seats. Also, the bathrooms were spartan, at best, and in dire need of an update. Think ladies room at a public school circa 1981.
Super exeeded all my expectations! I cried. This has been an all time dream of mine and it did not disappoint. More than pleased. It was above all that I could have imagined and hoped for. Thank you so much for such an amazing experience. This was at the top of my bucket list. You did not disappoint in any way!!! Ty! Ty! Ty!!!
Greate show Phantom of opera. singers and vibe of sound amazing. Very friendly staff for late entry. I come in in last minute every one was support me get my place. Theatre looks classic . As every there in Broadway show very short distance between sits. Im 5,10. And crazy long lines to restrooms.
4/21/2016 — Nothing in the World like It ... PerfectUpdated 7/26/2018 — Saw for the 9th Time; Ben Crawford is certainly top 5 Phantoms and sounds like the original. Ali Ewoldt (Christine) did a great too...voice at times did not carried the same power as past Christine.. she could have been under the weather a tad. Raquel Suarez Groen (Carlotta) was a pleasant surprise and thought she out sang all the girls and best I’ve seen in a PTO.Message to the Majestic Theatre Production / Tech Team; lot of mistakes tonight and props are in major need of maintenance. Could hear the wheel squeaking the balance. Consider 2 or 3 week down to update the theatre too.Still ***** and the Best Show On Broadway.
It was my first time at Broadway show, I got tickets for my Moms birthday - she said it was the best gift ever! We both enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera very much: decorations, actors, effects - everything was amazing! I am still impressed! Thank you to everyone who makes this show incredibly fascinating!
I have been here close to 20 times over the years and have nothing but rave reviews. Aside from the show itself, a guilty pleasure of mine since childhood, I am extremely impressed by the staff of this theatre. They take their roles seriously and I commend their attitude toward electronic devices, people need to unplug, I’m sure over 99% aren’t important enough that their phone is a life and death matter and I appreciate the staff for being so diligent. Service staff is equally helpful and albeit feeling awkward about my “marathon” visits where I see the show multiple days in a row, I’m treated kindly, not at all like the weirdo I probably am. As for the show, it fits this theatre so well and has aged amazingly well. The current cast (this is written 1/2020) is fantastic and interprets the work uniquely. The rest of the crew, including musicians, work like a well oiled machine, bringing this show to life. Anyone wary of seeing it because it’s been around “forever” is sorely mistaken. Even more interesting when considering plot and characterization with elements of our time. Thank you! I cant wait to come back when you reopen!!! Its a sad spring/summer without NYC and this show on my schedule!
Its the best show ever. Phantom of the opera is atleast a one time must event to attend. Theres nothing more like watching an ordinary movie to having the best live orchestral performance. The way the chandelier move, to the way the crops are set out in seconds and not to forget, the talented actors.
We saw The Phantom of the Opera and of course it was amazing! They let some people in after the curtain call so that was a little annoying. They also came back and told a guy behind me to put his phone away, he was probably recording. I thought that was pretty funny and I was glad they enforced that rule. 😊
The orchestra was absolutely phenomenal! Special effects, lighting, singing, costumes, environment and staff were all exceptional. The entire theater was beautiful. It was definitely an experience Im very happy to have invested in. I waited until 30 minutes prior to the start of the show to reserve my ticket at the box office online. I got it for at least $100 less than when I first looked 1 hour prior to start of the show. (I was also a party of 1) The seat I got was pretty much in the middle of the theater. Seat 109 orchestra. Very highly recommended if given the opportunity.
I saw the musical ‘Phantom of the Opera’ in this Majestic Theatre. The scale of the musical was majestic and the interior design harmonized with the musical. However the gap between seats is very narrow and it’s really hard to move. Therefore You need to use the restroom before the performance starts.
Went to the Phantom of the Opera. God. That was the best theatre show Ive seen! The production, the actors and the orchestra! That was mesmerising! The ordering was very efficient, the personnel instructed us directly to our seats while keeping everyone in order. Im speechless to the show as words cant describe what you see.
Phantom is amazing and a Broadway classic! Definitely a must see in my book! We booked balcony seats which were cool as you had a unique view of scenes that were higher up in the play and also were able to look down on the cast which felt like you were seeing as he saw during the production. I loved it so much that I drew this portrait which I entitled “Music of the Night” which was featured on all official channels of the NYC play
We were in the city for a few days and wanted to see a classic musical, so we ended up with Phantom of the Opera in this theatre. We got seats in the center of the middle row of the front mezzanine. This gave us a good, unobstructed view of the actors from above, and a complete view of the chandelier scene. As for the musical itself, its amazing how well coordinated all the actors are, with eachother and with the awesome musical score of the orchestra below. The details added by the actors in the background also add to the experience.
Phantom of the Opera is here. This musical has been dear to my heart since 2002. I have gone every year except 2020. It still brings me joy, and the countless others over the years, and now, countless more since it lit back up again. If you like musicals, do give it a try.If you dont, still try...it made me like musicals when I didnt before!Phantom is here. It all went dark but it came back and is *still here.*

2022-04-29I went to the matinee show at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon last week of April 2022. In order to enter theater you must have your COVID19 vaccination card and photo identification with your ticket. This is a requirement to all Broadway shows in NYC. I had a great Orchestra seat Row P (pictures taken to review standing and sitting) All seats in Orchestra section are great. The seats (row) rise as you go back. The show itself has some great effects. I believe all seats upstairs can enjoy the same views also. Theres a lot of stage changes going on during the show. I especially loved the second half. The Phantom did not disappoint. What a great voice he has. This is a good show for date night. They do have bar for drinks. They also sell drinks already prepared during intermission in the sitting areas, so you dont have to leave your seat.

2022-02-10The Majestic Theatre is so lovely. I’ve seen Phantom there twice, and both times were simply divine. The check-in/security process before the show is very swift, and all staff are so delightful. The seats are nice and comfy, though if you’re towards the back of the orchestra, be prepared to not see the top portion of the stage. The bathrooms are really nice with many stalls in the basement one, just make sure to really zoom down there at intermission. As soon as intermission starts, run down there, ‘cause the line WILL get long. Overall, love the Majestic! Can’t wait for my next day there!

2022-08-01Phantom of the Opera is a mind blowing show. There is a reason it still running sold out after so many years. There are some very memorable scenes. The stage and props are very ornate. The theatre itself is quite big and spacious. Watch out for that chandelier

2022-08-04Purchased my ticket to Phantom of the Opera from the box office on the day of the show. Staff was great in picking out a seat for me and I must say it has probably the best view in the house(Row I, seat 106). Doors open at 1.30pm for the 2pm show, and the queue to get in goes around the block. Highly recommended activity when you’re in NYC!

2022-02-04I have an amazing experience watching Phantom of the Opera. The sets were mind blowing, the acting was sublime and the music by the one and only Andrew Llyod Webber created an experience that one can never forget. The staff enforced a strict policy of keeping masks on (covering mouth and nose) throughout the event. Vaccine records were verified before entry.I assume this theater is designed with only the Phantom of the Opera as their event because of the way the sets are designed and entire rooms appear out of nowhere. The one and only reason I am not giving 5 stars was because they packed the entire audience in a small room before allowing inside the theater. It looked like all covid protocols of social distancing were thrown out of the door. See my photos fir reference. If you are coming for this show, my advise is to not enter the theater before 7 pm, and enter it just before the show starts.

2022-05-29Okay, so here’s a mouthful. You have to see Phantom of the Opera and the world famous Majestic theatre on Broadway in New York City. This is as real as it gets and the show is amazing. It’s a little expensive and a little cramped, but the show is amazing. You won’t want to miss this. Of course, the obligatory merch shop is available after the show.

2022-02-15If you havent been to the opera - you need to go now! We got tickets during Broadway 2 for 1 weeks. So prices were more affordable. The performance was just breathtaking. I could not believe how fast time passed. I always loved the movie and this version did not disappoint me too. The music, the atmosphere were so magical and exiting. I definitely recommend it!P. S. The only things is not good - the seats are tiny.
