Tortellini Al re was huge portion , ravioli meatball super tasty, chicken Alla mama, flatbread. Dessert too. Our new go to for Italian dinner
Went there Thursday. It was a chicken special day. Choice of chicken 25 different ways with salad, coffee and cheesecake.I had the chicken vodka with penne. Portions are. Very large and delicious! Place is very crowed, we went prime time 7pm and waited only 20 minutes. Service was good and welcoming. Everyone leaves with a to go bag.My friend had seafood risotto, she said was magnificent! Plenty of parking as well.
My family and I have been coming to Mamas since I was a child. We have had mamas cater many of our family functions from birthdays to graduations, mamas food was there for it all. Ever since mamas has changed ownership their service and food has not been the same. We placed an order for my dads birthday this past weekend. Whenever we place an order we are very specific in what we want because as of recently, the restaurant tends to get our orders wrong. We ordered chicken franchise (my dads favorite) for my dad for his birthday. Once we got home after picking up the food we realized they had given us veal franchise instead of chicken. We immediately called the restaurant about the mess up. The restaurants solution was “I’m sorry we will be better for next time”. Not even offering to have us come back to get the correct meal or a refund. Very disappointed in their customer service and quite frankly the quality of food they have been making. Sad to say my favorite childhood restaurant is now turning into my least favorite.
The food is amazing and the portion sizes are more than enough. Beautiful Decour in the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant, but I have to mention that I was extremely upset with the waiter. He was unprofessional and a bit on the nasty side. He literally just threw our dishes on the table, did not put our plates in front of us as we had to hand them out to each other and he was not helpful or informative. His personality was zero. His hair was tied back in a ponytail and so greasy. He gave me the creeps. If I go back, I will make sure I do not have him as a waiter. He put a damper on our experience at mamas.
Excellent food, service and experience. Portions are huge. Our waiter Greg is one of the best in long island. Professional and enhanced our dining experience. Prices are reasonable due to the Portion size.Very good place to eat. 👍
Great and fast service. Very clean place. Huge just huge portions, blazing hot as I love.Everything was delicious!Thursday special was chicken in any variations with any type of pasta. Includes salad, coffee or tea and new York cheesecake for 19$. +4$ service fee and tax.Definitely recommended for pizza and pasta lovers 👍🏼
The mozzarella in carozza is to die for ! EverythingAbout this place is top tier. Never had a better buffalo slice or chicken parm slice in my life. Prices on special pies are steep here but in my opinion totally worth it. Dining here is always a treat, never had a bad meal. Staff is always friendly, and the menu is always changing for the better.
Great spot! Went on chicken night (Thursday). Chicken carbonara was sooooo good. Bread is so light but watch it so you dont fill up.Everyone took a bag home!Looked forward to leftovers!Drinks were pricey.No reservations, get there before 6pm, no holding tables! Yes its that good!
Mamas doesnt get old for me. I have been patronizing this establishment since my son was a toddler. The pizza varieties are great. Honestly I go for the Zeppoles these days. They are freshly made and delicious. I felt like they were kind of pricey but as soon as I bit into the first one that went out the window. They were sooooo worth it. I havent been to the restaurant lately but the take out is definitely a winner.
Use to come here all the time when I lived over here , and drove over 30 min just to eat here and ended up taking my food to go because apparently not one server including mine heard me trying to get someone’s attention for a fork after the first one I was given still had someone’s left over food crusted into spikes of the fork .. my water was never refilled … spent almost an hour just sitting there and the only person who noticed my aggravation was the bus boy who offered me a fork but by then my son was ready to go. Food is good but service absolutely sucked, won’t be going out of my way to eat here anymore.
Mamas is an Amazing Italian family restaurant!!! One meal better than the next!!!
Not the Mamas that I grew to love but......Not sure what if anything has changed but it just wasnt the Mamas that I am used to. The taste was just a little different. The atmosphere was the same, service was great, just something was missing
The food here is fabulous. The eggplant Parm was delicious. The amount of eggplant was big enough for 3 people. Me The penne alLa vodka was also very good and filling. There was enough for 3 meals. I personally would like for them to offer half size dishes and not have the price be so high. I would frequent the facility much more often if there was a smaller portion/price point size option available.
Deborah Brandes and I had dinner on Tuesday. The house salad dressing was Delicious. I had chicken Cordon Bleu Roulade style . The sauce was so creamy, cooked to perfection. Debbie had Mama’s classic Lasagna, eggplant rollatine and Veal parm. Tremendous portions. We finished with the lava cake which we took to go because we were so full. I highly recommend this place. Nick our waiter was very efficient not to mention extremely gorgeous . And the manager Melinda was a beautiful woman exotic and very friendly a wonderful personality I hope you chooses place for your dining experience.
It pains me to write this review as I have been coming here since they were just a small pizza spot as a kid. Mamas has been my go to for Italian dinner and take out for years now, usually every Sunday and even once during the week as well. Usually the food is amazing and the service is great as well, however last week an experience prompted me to write this review. My mother and her friend had gone in for dinner on a weekday night and sat on the left hand side ( pizza side ). The server proceeds to the table and makes a comment to her friend saying “how nice of you to take your mother out ( referring to my mother )” , even though my mother and her friend are only a few years apart! Following this comment my mother asks to speak to the owner or manager and after speaking with him and telling him what the problem was, he just walked away and paid no attention to it. The servers behind the counter even had a chuckle at the comment. I can’t believe an establishment would 1) make a comment like that and 2) go about the problem as if nothing happened. All of my family and friends used to go to this restaurant and now they will not after the details I have told them. I wish I could leave 0 stars.
We had a delicious Italian dinner with excellent service with much thanks to Meylinda! She went over and beyond to treat us extra special!! Also much appreciation goes out to our faves Gregg, April, & Kim!! Best servers around!!
The service was soso. The waitress was definitely out of her element. Now to the food. Food quality is definitely down. Starting with appetizers rice balls were good. The fried calamari was salty and portion size was definitely cut. Baked clams were ok but for the price you only get 6. Now to the main meal i had the veal it was tender but the scarpellio sauce was definitely wrong it tasted like peppers. My wife got a pasta dish with seafood and there was hardley any seafood in it. Also portion sizes arex way down and prices are up. It seems the new owners only care about making the most money they can. If they dont revert back to the old ways i dont see a lot of repeat customers coming back. We were very disappointed with our meal
Food is delicious, service is great (Jim is the best.. i think that’s his name—tall guy, been there for years) and super fast. Meal proportions are huge! Prices reasonable for the amount of food you get.
Absolutely disgusting!!!The soggy chicken pieces as well as the soft undercooked sausage were drenched in this thick spicy sauce that was extremely over whelming!The mushrooms were pickled from a can!! And there were 4 long strands of red peppers, 2 green, that did nothing but add a bit of cheer to this morbid dish!The absolute nerve to charge so much money for a dish that taste like a frozen lean cuisine!60 bucks later and im taking a trip to McDonalds!!Do not get the Chicken Scarp!!
We get pizza to go all the time. Best Ive had in Long Island!!! We had a sit down meal our first time. Did not disappoint I couldnt decide on a Flatbread pizza of chicken carbonara. The waiter had the put the chicken carb on the Flatbread. Mind blown! Amazing dessert, services, everything.
I never had a bad experience until today. I waited at the table for more than 20 minutes and had no server come up to us. I saw a waiter come up to the table right next to us and helped them when they got there right after us. I am very dissatisfied with this experience today.
Mama’s is a local Italian wonder with our favorites done so well!! The service is always top notch, and the menu is immense with a delicious choice for everyone. Hands down our favorite dish is the mozzarella in carroza that is served with vodka sauce!! The chicken cristoforo, Gorgonzola chicken, and stuffed rigatoni also can’t be missed. Highly recommend!!
Looks like mamas is under new management. The quality of the food is not the same. I ordered a pizza 🍕 pie , & pepperoni rolls. The rolls were so over cooked (black) I could not eat them. The pie was cooked the same. I had a bad experience., & I have been a customer of this place for years.
One of the best pizza imo around. The establishment is clean, and updated. Restaurant seating on one side and pizza counter and bar on the other. I like what they have done with the place and their menu looks great. Highly Recommended
The food is pretty good, I wouldnt say that it blew my world. However, the portions are huge!! Definitely worth the money! And the desserts were actually to die for! They were great for sharing or for having on your own. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were okay. Its a great place to meet up with some friends or to go on a first date. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience here, and Id go back for that chocolate cake any day.
Came here for a birthday dinner and all the food was insane! Massive portions, great prices, and great service as well. Wish I took some pics of the appetizers but everyone ate them way too fast!
Amazing Italian family restaurant, service is top notch which matches the food. They also have great specials so check those out!! FYI chicken night is a great deal and the portions are always enough to where you can take some to go! But again great food and service
I would honestly give it over 4 stars but obviously you cant. I have been there many times over the years and I have only ever had a bad meal once but it was during their busiest time on thursdays chicken night.Coming from also working in the restaurant/customer service business I can truly understand why there may have been some issues so I dont hold it against them, especially since the food has been great every other time.Yes, there is wait times some times, but thats the restaurant industry for you. Yes, some times service can be slow if they are busy, again that is the business for you. Food is still great and I will keep going back.I still recommend this restaurant to friends, and I know plenty of people who go and love the food, garlic knots and balsamic dressing as do I.
I was skeptical of it really being five stars until I went there and tried it. The waiter was really nice the food was excellent even give you a full bowl of freshly made garlic knots. Ill be coming back here again to try more dishes.
Easy 5 stars. Started eating here with my family last month and we have no reason to stop coming back every week. Great place for a family meal. Huge menu and they have slices I wouldn’t find anywhere else. Solid staff and service even when they’re super busy like Xmas eve!
My favorite Italian restaurant Forever!!! The chicken cordon bleu is just delish, Penne a la Vodka with beef, the Eggplant Pizza, the Pavarotti Salad, the California Salad, the cheesecake & Tiramisu... i can keep going for days! This place is located in a shopping center on interception of Montauk hwy and the end of Great neck Rd when you go south. Its very clean, nice atmosphere and years ago was smaller but with time they had to expand it. Staff is very polite and service excellent when you sit on the restauran area, they also have a side for to go and-or eat your pizza quick, on the left side and everything is super freshly made. Def recommended.
Amazing food, great service. Awesome Italian restaurant here, mid range prices (be prepared to spend over 20 more than likely) - but well worth it. Nice inside as well. Overall a great Italian experience. Only drawback is - it gets crowded (because its good) and you may sometimes have a long wait at the door. Try to go weekdays 530 or before
My dad visited Mamas yesterday around noon to afternoon and asked to order from the lunch menu. I was a loyal customer and frequently ate there. They said it was only available as dine-in. He said that if its policy hell understand, but that I had a condition that flares up and prevents me from walking at times and I couldnt dine-in so could they make an exception. The man speaking said Thats not my problem. It isnt the rule that bothered me at all. If thats policy, thats understandable. But what he said was wrong and Im shocked Mamas is allowing such callous people like that to work at their location. If the employee wasnt working there I would remove this review but the fact that someone who can be cruel like that to someone with a medical condition is disturbing.
Garlic knots were good. Eggplant Parmesan pizza was delicious. Loved the special they had that day. I believe it was steak spring rolls.
My boyfriend and I came here on our second date several years ago and have been hooked ever since! I can honestly say this is my favorite Italian restaurant, and Ive eaten at a LOT of them. The food is always amazing and the wait staff is great. Weve never had a single complaint here. About once a month we drive here from an hour away, and its always worth it!
This place is soooo good. Large size portions and good prices. The waiter was incredible!!! So attentive and kind. Austin is the best this restuarant is lucky to have him 👍🏼
WOW...JUST WOW. Me and my family went to Mamas for Xmas Eve and had the best meal weve had in awhile. The staff was overly welcoming and friendly, the food prices were affordable, and the food was amazing. I come from an Italian background and I can honestly say the meatballs were better than my Nonas meatballs (shhhh cant tell her that). Couldnt have asked for a better experience...10/10 experience HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The food is AMAZING! It seems expensive when looking at the menu, but you get hot bread/garlic knots, salad and a huge entree. We went at 430 which was the perfect time with no wait. The only bad thing was, the waiter checked on us 2 minutes after food came and then didnt see him until we were done eating. Thankfully we didnt need more drinks or something was wrong as we wouldve been sol.

The server, Felix, was nice, and had a good sense of humor. I have allergies, including being gluten-free. He was knowledgeable about the menu, and cautious of things he wasnt sure of, and got answers when not sure. .I got the Pasta Antonio with gluten-free noodles. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. Wish there was a little more sauce on the plate. The noodles were undercooked, and clumped together in large clumps. A bit unappetizing. Felix kind of shrugged it off, blaming it on being gluten-free pasta.We came from an hour away, and decided to check it out while we were in town, after hearing good things about it withing the gluten-free community. I wouldnt say it was bad, it just didnt live up to the hype. Especially when the dish came as a recommendation from the waiter, stating that cream sauces are their specialty.
Mamas ruined our Christmas!Waited 35 minutes to pick up our Christmas Eve meal. 6 meals ice cold. Shrimp Scampi was literally uncooked. Took another 25 minutes for them to actually cook the food.Not only did they not apologize or try to make it right but acted as if I was the bad guy. What a shame the new management ruined an institution.
Just tried this place for the first time today. I can see why it gets a 5 star rating! The waitress was quite nice and offered some wonderful menu items for consideration. (Thanks Christine, you rock!) The food was cooked perfectly and tasted exquisite! Everything was awesome and I couldnt find anything not to like! Will definitely stop back in when Im back in the area. Thanks for an awesome meal and dining experience!

We ate for an early Fathers Day dinner it was pretty busy but we were seated right away. We had a very friendly and excellent waitress that served us. The food was outstanding . From the salad to the homemade delicious addicting garlic knots to the main entree which could feed 2 people easily! We all had our food wrapped as we were beyond stuffed. I had the rigatoni ala vodka with a salad and I was more than satisfied!

The pizza its amazing and only one slice satisfies. The only thing i didnt like were the drinks...only sodas. I ask for a lemonade and the waitress brought a bottled one. Not a big deal anyways. Ill go back definitely. (Cute pizza guys alert!)

I’m new to the area, so my gf and I needed a place to get a warm meal on Christmas Eve. Not a lot of places were open but Mama’s seemed to be a good contender. Although the place was packed… the food rocked!! We had to wait a bit, as the dining room was opened after 5, but we’ll worth the wait!! Didn’t catch the waitress’s name but she was really nice and attentive.
Stopped by for a quick pizza slice Saturday night 8/25/2018. Pizza was burnt - see picture below. I politely informed the guy behind register about the problem. He seemed not to understand at first then I showed him the slice. He said to give him a few minutes. After about 25 minutes and 15 customers served a servant guy asked us what was the problem. We explained that to him as well. Still nothing was done. Not willing to wait any longer I returned pizza to register saying thank you for a nice pizza. People behind register stood silently without apologizing as if it happens every day and they were used to it and did not care.

First time at Mamas and it was great from our waiter Dan, the food and ambiance. The Italian sampler is plenty for 4. The short ribs melt in your mouth. The vodka sauce was beyond delicious. So glad we found Mamas.
Mamas never disappoints! Food and service are always amazing! Tonight, we went there for dinner with a friend who was recovering from chemotherapy. We had to leave immediately following appetizers due to not feeling well. The waiter was quick to wrap up our dinners and bring us our check. The manager then came over to make sure everything was okay. We informed him of our situation and he provided us with dessert on the house. What a heartfelt gesture from their staff! Thank you Mama’s!!!

My daughters took me to lunch today for my birthday at Mamas and we really enjoyed ourselves. Gregg was our server and he was very attentive, courteous and professional. It was a pleasure meeting him and the food was delicious. We will be back soon as it was a relaxing and fun experience. I recommend Mamas highly.

I have been going to this place for years and always had a good experience the workers always treat me with nothing but respect and are very friendly the food is always fresh and coming right out of the oven and the garlic nots are like crack.this is one of the best pizza restaurants I’ve ever been to. My sister has been going to Mamas for over 15 years and has constantly bragged about how great the food is. Today we had a day trip in the area and when it came to lunch she invited me to Mamas.It was one of the most delightful eating experiences i have had in a long time.Our waitress had a smile that was apparent right through her mask. She welcomed us like family and told us of all the special meals they were offering today in addition to their extensive menu.The food was absolutely delicious and the service was even better. When it came time to pay the bill i couldnt believe how reasonable the cost of this superb dining was. I am already looking forward to my next meal at Mamas.If you want to impress someone with a superb dinner or just treat yourself I highly recommend dining at Mamas.
One of the few best Italian restaurants around! I have gone here w friends for several months, and the shopping center is very practical. There is a CVS, a discount card store and a supermarket.There is also a Chinese takeout there. I have tried their food. I found that the egg rolls I had was better than other takeouts, and I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken. It had alot more flavor than many other places i have gone to.I highly recommend going to this shopping center❤🤠😃👍
Ive been going to Mamas for close to 20 years. The quality of the food is superb. My favorites are the Rigatoni Bella Vita, which is rigatoni with bay scallops, shrimp and lobster in a pink cream sauce and the shrimp pesto pizza. Another great dish is Chicken Christoforo which is layered with eggplant and chicken and fresh mozzarella in a pink cream sauce. If youre on a diet, or youre diabetic, do not look at their dessert display because they have the most luxurious desserts around. Their red velvet cake is massive and so good. Mamas is a little pricey, but its worth every penny.
Wow what can I say about Mamas. I went there on Saturday night with a group of eight, we havent been out to dinner is awhile and we were a little apprehensive however it was such an amazing experience. They have outside dining and when we walked in the place was spotless. We did not have much of a wait at all. We were seated by the beautiful woman with the black hair who has been there every time I have gone in the past, shes just amazing and makes you feel so welcome like you just arrived at a family members house for dinner. We all ordered different dishes and each of us agreed that it was the best meal including the apps we ordered. The staff is friendly and they check on you at the exact appropriate times. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It is my favorite place to go. PS I just read a review that there was a roach in their food and didnt say a thing just asked for the check and left,, first off if anyone finds a roach in that place they def brought it in with them,, there is no way this place would ever have one,, its immaculate always. And who in the world would ever pay the check after finding one in their food,, please!!! I cannot stand when competitors leave fake reviews to bring someones stars down. We all know how amazing the food and service is here and if you dont I suggest you try this place. Just amazing!!

I brought a shrimp scampi and a shrimp park dinner and they had no flavor at all, I had to dress it up with seasoning from my home and it cost a pretty penny. Ill stick to they Pizza from now on in.
Main courses were very good, but apps were just ok. Next time Ill skip the apps and save room for dessert. Service was just ok as well but I guess thats to be expected from a restaurant attached to a pizzeria. I recommend it if youre just hungry and want some good food but if youre looking for a nice restaurant experience youd be better off going elsewhere... dont expect much of the ambiance / service etc here.

I was at mamas for the pasta day it’s amazing big portion good quality now I know why Mamas is the best place in Long Island great food and great service clean good drinks special I love it there my phone order pizza was very happy very very busy place for Monday I couldn’t believe it and now I know how good this place is will be in my favor from now on

BEST Italian restaurant!!! Ive been looking for a good one for a long time now. The food is superb and plentiful, you always have leftovers for another night. All meals are served with complimentary garlic knots that are so delicious! Ive personally never had their pizza, but my son has and he loves it! Highly recommend !

Every dish is amazing and the garlic knots are to die for! My personal favorite dish is the Roman style ravioli, yum! All the staff is amazing as well. I highly recommend coming here!
My family and I having been dining here for years. Whether we order a regular pizza, or a table of specials, we are always delighted by our visit. The service is exceptional and the food is truly delicious. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. They held the door open, when we first entered and seated us right away .Had the manicotti, came with salad, garlic knots and cheesecake and coffee. Kim was the waitress, she is an excellent waitress and cleared away finished dishes and was very very pleasant and professional, The manicotti was delicious and was fresh and they took our leftovers and put them in foil trays to take home.
If you are a looking for a real authentic Italian restaurant family owned and operated look no further. From pizza to seafood they have it all . My family and I will certainly recommend to our family and friends it was beyond our expectations . Great food Great people thank you again
One of my favorite restaurants. Great food, large portions. Always have dinner for 2 to 3 days after I visit. Often stop by after a hectic day for a quick slice. Pizza is great and so is food. Only downside is in the winter its a bit chilly in the restaurant with the front door always opening and closing and letting the cold air in. But otherwise never had a bad experience.
What a great place. This was my first time in Long Island and I could make a whole trip coming back just for the food. I was there with a party of 5, and we enjoyed every moment at this restaurant. I personally ate the gnocchi, and it was high quality. The best part about Mamas is the portions. The average plate is about $29 but will give even a big dude enough food for 2-3 meals. Highly recommend.

Hostess was extremely rude! Did not catch her name but it’s the one with the bangs. Super rude, rolling her eyes simply because we asked the wait time. Definitely needs to get trained im how to treat dining customers.
One of my favorite places for Italian food and all the restaurants in general. Great customer service great food and an absolutely amazing staff. I get the shrimp parmigiana and the baked clams. They also have great pizza and behind the counter items. Would recommend to anyone in the area and will be a customer for a lifetime.

Everything is great at this restaurant, the only thing I would say is preventing it from being a 5 star is the hostess. I find that she is always rude to my bf and I. Not sure why...but if you do give this restaurant a chance ask for Roberto ! You’ll have a special time
It was ok. Food portions were good. They were friendly. But did not care for them having tables littlerally 2 feet away from each other. At least where my boyfriend and i were sitting. ESPECIALLY since pandemic is not quite over yet. Made me feel un comfortable. I get it...they are probaply trying to make up for lost revenue. But that is rediculous. Dont think i will be going back until pandemic is over...if i do.
Great Italian food. Great setting. Lots to choose from. All prepared to perfection. Wide variety of pizza by the slice. Try the Shrimp Bistro slice. Its a meal by itself. Theres often a line out the door - but its worth the wait! Probably the best pizza on Long Island!

Been going there for over 10 years, even before the expansion, Ive been to many luncheons & special occasion events there even had my wifes 60 birthday party there. In all of my visits Ive never had a bad meal, the food is always very fresh & tasty & is served hot as it is supposed to be. Service is always good even when they are very busy. Love the Garlic Knots & they make the best House Balsamic Salad Dressing around!!
Mammas my favorite pizza place in New York. I may be biased because Ive been eating here since they were a small one store from little shop. The owners are a great family and treat you as such. They have awesome food great service and I guarantee youll never be disappointed with the selection. Five stars all day
Its a bit pricey for pizza, but guaranteed the best youll ever taste. Worth every penny. The people there are very nice. My son dropped his slice accidentally and they gave him another one. No other pizza compares to Mamas. Always have to stop by when Im in the area.
This is a great Italian restaurant. The ambiance is nice, decor is beautiful! Their portion sizes are large, always have to take a bag home. I have been there a couple times. The food is nice, I personally love their Pavarotti salad. Once or twice I have had to beg for attention, the layout of the tables is such. Price wise it is good for the portions they serve.
This happens to be one of the best Italian restaurants that I have been to in a long time. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is amazing with large portions, always bringing home a goody bag! The waiters are extremely friendly and helpful in helping you with our order. If you go ask for Greg, you will not be disappointed!

My family, friends and I have been coming to Mamas for years. There is no better Italian restaurant! The food is incredible - large portions guaranteed to be packing them up for the next day. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. If you go on a night that is busy you’ll be sure to be greeted by Mama handing out slices of their pizza. Absolutely delish. Did I mention the garlic knots? You can make a meal out of them! If you are just hungry for some pizza and rolls etc you can get that too! Truly delicious! A must go to!
Haven’t been to this place in years. In town for the holidays and took my kids. Could barely understand the server. I ordered two Shirley temples for my 2 kids and then they wanted a refill. When I see the check it showed $15 for 4 Shirley temples! I asked the server why it showed 4? He said “we don’t have free refills”. I would think it would’ve been courteous of him to mention that before I ordered refills to let me be aware. The server never once checked on us while we were eating. I was a server myself and to me you have to earn your tip it’s not the customers obligation to tip. I didn’t leave him no tip and when we were leaving he had the nerve to approach me and say “bro you don’t tip?” How unprofessional of him to question the customer. I told him no refills for fountain drinks is a ripoff. I’m sticking to Alberts Pizza.
Mamas Restaurant is one of my ultimate favorite Italian places to eat. We typically enjoy with our family on birthday celebrations. The portions are bountiful and oh so delicious. Love the garlic knots. Be careful or one could get full off of the knots. The ambiance is great too. Love the chicken specials night. Many chicken dish choices. Great place to eat.

Mamas is excellent we order from there a lot and eat in there often. The portions are huge and taste delicious. I love their Margarita Pizza and their Cesar salad thats my Friday night stay at home take out from there, My husband loves their chicken rolls and we enjoy their clams I highly recommend the baked whole clams along with almost every dish they have.
From the parking lot you wouldn’t realize how beautiful the atmosphere is inside. Service and food is always superb. Chicken night is always my favorite. Delicious garlic knots, salad before your meal and very generous portions finished by coffee/tea and cheesecake. Highly recommend this place.
Nice clean place, nice ambiance, food is not haught cuisine but very good, far better than average. Not a pizza take out place even though they do great take out.They lost a star because when they get busy, which is often, little mistakes on take out orders occur a little more than they should. The staff is very apologetic and are more than happy to give you the correct order but who wants to drive back for the side salad. At least they gave me the blue cheese, just not the rabbit food. 😁I still the place and well continue to go there.

My husband and I always go to Mamas for holidays, (going this Christmas Eve), and for special occasions. We are always astounded! Their food never disappoints! The menu is unbelievable with the selections they offer! Service is impeccable and friendly! Kudos to the chef and waitstaff. Wednesday night is our pizza night and Mamas is the place!!! Try it, youll love it.
I just moved to the area and was told great things about your place. Stepped in last night 12/20 for a few slices and 1/2 garlic knots. Super busyI have no problem with waiting. I just stepped to the side why a “néw” pie was coming out of the over. After 15 minutes of chilling, I went back up to the counter and got the “5 minutes”. Ok. No problemThen I was I I was ready. $14.50 for three slices and 1/2 garlic knots !!!! Ok whatever. Took it home, and I think you pulled them out of the garbage! The garlic knots were raw. The pizza was disgusting, old congealed, and cold. Horribly disappointedI’ll stay with Joe’s down the block !!!

I have been dining at Mamas for about 10 years. The food is excellent, from the pizza (the shrimp pesto is amazing) to the entrees. Definitely better than your local pizzeria!!! The dining room has an upscale feel to it, I would definitely recommend getting there early on the weekend as it is always packed for Dinner.
We had a party of six that ate dinner in the restaurant. Busy place. Decor was decent. Staff was nice. Food was very good. Price was overboard. $9 a glass of soda. $35 for the pork special. $10 a small glass of wine. The bathroom was dirty.
I have been in a lot of cities and I still have not come across a better restaurant. Their calamari is the best! Cooked just right it is perfection! I have pretty much had everything on their menu and I have loved it all!Their service is top notch and the atmosphere is perfect for couples and families. And their pizza is awesome too! I would pick Mama’s over anywhere and sent many of my friends there and they all rave about it! Everyone is friendly and Grace (Mama) always has a warm smile and hello for all! Love this place like no other! Bellisimo!

Moved to area 9 years ago. Stopped In to Mamas for some pizza and have been coming here ever since. Not only do they have a large selection of specialty pizza but their regular food menu is amazing. Large portions at great prices. They make a veal tower that is awesome. Glad we found Mamas
I like the specialty slices and how one will pretty much fill you up but the prices are actually starting to get a little bit excessive for pizza. Its a very nice restaurant with a very classy look. Ive never heard anything negative on the quality side of things so if you want some good slices or pasta dishes, but dont mind spending a bit I would suggest it.
I love Mama’s!! I’ve only sat down for dinner twice (both times were incredible) but I get takeout pizza at least once a month. When I was pregnant I craved Mama’s pizza every single day and I ended up eating here 3-4 times a week! My favorite slices are the chicken pesto pizza and the shrimp pizza. The vegetable slice is out of this world! They are very generous with their toppings. I will always be a loyal fan of this place.
The food is delicious! You will never be disappointed. The restaurant atmosphere is so nice. Everyone seems in a good mood because of the food. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly. The food comes very quickly. My girlfriend and her husband always went to Mama’s for years and when they cater their parties they always get it from Mama’s.
I’ve been searching for the best vodka sauce slice on Long Island and Mama’s has been among the top. The staff is nothing but nice and accommodating. The sauce is delicious and the slices are huge. If you’re getting one slice, I recommend going in and picking out your own, because obviously you want the one with the most sauce. Eat it while it’s hot, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Mama’s has been our go to restaurant for many years. You have to know the best time to go because the place fills up quickly on a daily basis. When you have crowds of people waiting, you know the food is delicious. Pasta and chicken night are so reasonable for the amount of food you get. Plus the garlic knots are phenomenal!!!!
Mamas BBQ chicken slice is the best specialty slice Ive ever had! Sweet and a little spicy, so good. Service is always kind and quick and now they have outdoor seating.

My last two visits at Mamas were disappointing. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce both times and found the portion too big, parts of it too hot and other parts not hot enough. Some of the meat sauce tasted burnt. I simply did not enjoy it either time, and when I brought home more than half of it, I didnt eat it. To put it simply, Mamas didnt make me happy. Even the cheesecake, usually delicious, was warm and melting.
Love going for awesome Thursday chicken night! Also had a 10 person bday dinner here and the service was completely on point. Great Italian food and good pizza for the picky kids. Will always come back.
Food was excellent, service was outstanding. Have eaten there multiple times and always leave more than satisfied, but most recently I noticed certain things that were disturbing. Management treats their servers very poorly and with much disrespect. I happened to be waiting for pizza and heard/saw what I assume is the manager berating and belittling a woman server. Very disrespectful and disgusting the way he was treating that woman. I had her as a server once recently and she was exceptional at her job and very sweet. Because of this behavior by management I will never set foot in there again. Five stars for food and service quality. Management gets 0 stars for treatment of staff

Food is delicious!! Their menu is expansive and there is something for everyone! Portions are large and you will take home plenty for additional meals. Mamas is our go to for all our family birthday dinners, and was our choice for a large party catering. The garlic knots are so amazing that we always eat too many before dinner!! The restaurant itself has a beautiful, warm atmosphere and is nicely decorated! We have had many birthday dinners and the last few years we have even had our Christmas Eve dinner there! Everyone is always happy with their meal!
Not one meal is disappointing here. From the appetizers to the dessert this restaurant is worth every penny. No matter what day of the week you go it is crowded. They have great specials and occasionally send out emails to their customers. The staff is very professional as well. The food and pizza are always exceptional. I personally love their Tortellini al Re and Chicken Executive. The portion sizes are huge-enough to feed two or three people. The prices are pretty high, especially for the pizza, and there is always a wait for dinner. ALWAYS.
Last night 9/1/19 my wife and i were told no garlic knots were being made when we were at the restaurant at 6:30pm. We eat at mamas a lot. If it was not for our waitress getting them made for us, we were going to walk out of the restaurant and never eat there again. We drive from Yaphank to enjoy mamas, but it may be time to find another restaurant. Very unhappy to see this happen. The food is far from cheap, our bill was $88.00 before the tip but delicious, and its not good business to cut out the garlic knots that so many enjoy. A lot of our friends eat here as well. I am going to inform them of this unfortunate outcome. :( I am hoping the owner/s read this post. Thank You.

I dont live in the area and once a week I stop in for a slice of eggplant pizza, it is one of the best slices of pizza I have ever had. We dine in and take out occasionally and have never been disappointed. the food is always fresh, hot and the service is great.
Italian food and it is authentic...Omg! The food is delicious and so are the drinks...watermelon martini and coconut crush. Our server Kim was so on point and probably will make it our business to ask for her all the time. The place is very homey and warm and lets talk about portions...if you are coming to eat cute go to panera and get a salad because this place is the get down good eating type of restaurant so come hungry.

It is in a wonderful shopping center w a big CVS, a half price card shop and a grocery market w fresh fruit and vegetables.

The garlic knots are great, but after having been here numerous times. I know better than to load up on them. Dont heed my warning and youll be like the countless other who stare aghast at their plate after theyve already filled up on knots,apps, and complimentary salad(get the Balsalmic dressing).I skipped dessert today, but you wont be disappointed
I enjoy the look of the place, it has changed since coming while growing up here. I was a little shocked that 2 slices and a 20oz soda was 10.00 when I usually would pay 7.50 in other places. Still - I will come back and try a few of their speciality slices in the coming months.
I have been visiting the Mamas family since 1997 and I must say if feels like an extension of my own kitchen. The food is incredible and I have never ever been disappointed. The attention to detail and hands on approach of the family and their team is very nice to see. Great people, Great food period.
1st visit, friends live nearby it was a Friday night and the place was very busy but everything we ordered was hot,fresh,delicious, and plentiful you might want to consider sharing also the service was spot on so all in all it was Very good 👍
Good food and prices but server wasnt good. 15 mins passed before we even got water or first hello. She got better as night went along. Party of 9 and they gave us 8 garlic knots for table. Forgot to bring kids slice of pizza. Couldve been way better.
I have never had a bad meal here. Although it can be crowded the service is always great. We also do take out a lot and the servings are as large as when you dine in. Also the turn around time is quick. We have to pick up, no delivery option yet. But it’s worth the trip

My fiance was telling me about Mamas for about a year and I never made it a point to go until my last visit and the only regret I have about the whole experience is not making a visit earlier. The food was very good. The service was very good. I was totally satisfied with my visit. I will definitely make it a point to visit the next time I come visit my fiance. Great value for great food. Huge portions... I mean *HUGE*. Theyre always up for the task with a special order. Very accomodating. Best salads in Suffolk County and Ive tried them all. Im there at least once a week without fail. Highly recommend.
I live around the corner from this gem of a spot. Monday night is Pasta Night and is a great deal. Go any night, the dishes are excellent and service is great. I order something different every time I go and its always good. Expect to bring home leftovers as the portions are not tiny.
Ive heard nothing but good things about this restaurant. So I was really looking forward to eating there. The food was great, but The waiter/waitress assigned to my table was nothing but rude and condescending. Im not sure of the waiters name but She was a female with short red hair. Every request was met with an attitude. It took a half hour for drinks to be served, the food was brought out before the salad and when questioned if we still wanted the salad a dirty look was giving my way. Thank God another waiter finished our service. Again great food horrible server. I personally have never wrote any kind of review but feel this was way out of line.

Fantastic food and wonderful staff! We took my grandmother there two weeks ago for her 90th Birthday, our waiter was wonderful with our slightly large group. I had brought my own cake and he came out and sang to her for her birthday! It made her day. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality every time we visit.
In all the years I’ve been coming to Mama’s I’ve never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is always friendly and professional. No matter how busy it looks the pizza guys make sure you are in and out in a timely fashion. For me personally, the white slice is the best ever.
The food is excellent!! is a little bit of wait, but its expected because the good food. The plates are big ,so you can split. I went with a couple of friends, their kids and my daughter and they loved it.
Walked in and everyone around us were wearing their coats we thought maybe they are ready to leave, well no they were not leaving the place was extra cold had a great appetizer my wife was shivering at this point and the waitress just agreed that was cold. Dinner was ok my ravioli was cold the waitress apologized and offer to heat them up but I this point we just wanted to leave so asked to wrap all up.Not worth $26 $29 a plate
Excellent Italian food, sauces very close to homemade! Always enough food for a doggy bag! Servers friendly and generally a short wait for food. Crowded by 6 pm so go earlier or later otherwise the wait can be long.
I often go to Mamas for their chicken and pasta nights. It is always packed and I always get delicious and hot food. I like to try some new items every few times I go and I have never been disappointed! Highly recommend for date night, family dinners and celebrations.

If you come to visit me you WILL be taken to Mamas for dinner, its my go-to restaurant. Be sure to bring an appetite. the portions are very generous. I typically have enough left over for another 2-3 meals. One suggestion, if you have an entree such as Chicken Parm, order an extra spaghetti to-go so you can have it with your leftovers otherwise youll run out of pasta before you run out of entree.My personal favorite is the stuffed rigatoni special and youll never eat garlic knots again without comparing them to Mamas.The pizza is very good, Ill sometimes stop by for a slice or two. Warning, if you want a pinwheel be sure to avoid waiting to shortly before closing, Ive been disappointed more than once because they had sold out. I have been coming to Mamas since they were a tiny little shop.They were so small that on Mondays (Pasta night) and Thursdays (Chicken Night) the line was out the door because there were only a few tables. Ever since that first time, I have never been disappointed by their food. Their portions are so big that we usually have left overs, and they taste even better. I am happy to see how far theyve made it and how big theyve gotten. Do you self a favor and try everything on the menu.

Msmas is my go-to place for great italian cuisine. They have incredible dishes and during the week it is so worth the trip for me to go there as I love their specialty evenings. The staff is great and service is wonderful as well. Most of all, everything is fresh and delicious. With every meal, they bring you garlic knots that are fabulous and they will bring you more if you just ask. We have celebrated birthdays and graduations there because my family knows we will have a great time and a great meal. On the weekends, there is a wait but I try to avoid this by getting there early. I have been going here for years now and all I can say is IT IS AMAZING.

Been a customer at Mamas for over 15 years. Never had a bad meal there. I mostly do takeout with the occasional eat in visit. All the people working at the counter are attentive and friendly even during their busy time which seems like always. Highly recommend.

The best restaurant in all of Long Island. Great food. Amazing staff. Especially Grace, the most warm and accommodating person who goes out of her way to make your experience an absolute delight. If youre in town you have to check this place out and try the food out.Cant express how good the food is in better words than GO TRY IT!
The food is very good, but the service was horrible. It took us 40 minutes to get a chicken roll, while the rest of our party finished eating. I asked for a to go plate and one of the people working there gave me a used dirty plate. When I asked him to give me a clean one, he threw the dirty one at me and walked away. Another guy came and he reluctantly gave me a clean plate. All the servers were very nasty, they seemed annoyed by having to deal with customers. The whole atmosphere is tense and unfriendly. We went there in a celebratory mood and left very disappointed and hungry because we didnt even get our food on time. We had to take it to go. They were very jumpy and rude to all customers, not only with us. My family and I will never go to this pizzeria again, and I will make sure no one I know does either. I rarely write any reviews, but I feel obligated to let others know about this.

2022-04-12Great tasty food! The food portions are huge!!! Everyone takes a bag to go! So its ideal that you order 1 main course for 2 people will be more than enough! Side salad is a full plate so its a big serving of food here. For the price they charge definitely worth it. The staff is welcoming and pleasant. The waiter was super nice and knew his menu and knew how to make a guest fulfilled and was able to help me choose what i want and play around with menu) cozy place. Good for a date and definitely a family go to spot!

2022-04-24Fine dinning, good service, not rushed, Nice presentation, Food was Hot and delicious as ordered. We will be dropping in again but not the next day why because the portions are able to share almost like family style type restaurants keep the fire burning chefs job done well also front of house ran flawless the ownership should be proud of them all.

2021-09-24Unbelievable chicken specials, every Thursday. You will not be disappointed with a menu that never ends. So many choices all so delish! Weather special nights or another day Mamas has a dish to please all. Tremendous portions, always hot, very efficient service. The hostess (Melinda) goes above and beyond to keep everyone happy... ask for Kim another example of superb service! NOTE pics are from meals we already started eating, both great selections!

2021-09-09So before arriving at mamas, we stopped by another Italian restaurant and we’re turned off by all of the staff looking miserable to be there and decided to go to mamas instead. The manager and waitress at the host stand were delightful and sat us right away. Jordan our server was the best person we could have ever gotten for our first experience. He was so honest and upfront. He had such charisma that made us just smile, he gave us great suggestions and we left happy and full. Turned our night around!

2021-08-09(Updated) This place just deserves a 5 star) Thanks mamas for the Comfort foods and Thanks for doing what you do and making me dam happy when i eat your food! The menu is the best thing i have ever seen in my life. Easily my favorite Italian place on Long Island and as long as i live and breathe on this Island i will always get it! lol. Last time ill update because its a 5 Star hands Down.

2022-01-30Have been here before and always enjoyed the food and dessert.This time not so much.The waiter Gregg was nice and a great server. He went over the specials and even though I was going to get chicken parmigiana I decided the strip steak special sounded good. My husband got veal parmigiana. His food came out barely warm and he was disappointed in the taste.My steak was not a strip steak it was a cheap club steak with a ton of fat on it.Called over the waiter and asked him what happened to the strip steak. He said it was.I called over the manager and asked for chicken parmigiana.The chicken parmigiana came out and I was extremely disappointed. This was not what I was used to getting. It did not taste like it usually did and I have had it many times here.The chicken was frozen chicken cheap frozen chicken they threw in a fryer and than baked, threw cheap sauce on it mozzarella and called it homemade chicken parmigiana for 27.00. Dessert. Coffee came out barely hot and old. Was definitely sitting there for awhile. And the waiter knew it a good waiter should have fixed this. The lava cake and cheese cake were old. Very disappointed. Found out there are new owners.New owners who have ruined this restaurant.Quality and consistency are key to have a successful business. Passing off cheap quality food for for top quality is just wrong!!

2022-02-13Best pasta to eat at with their pasta night specials. They give you a salad, huge plate of pasta that you can have for lunch the next day, fresh garlic knots, and cheesecake with coffee or tea. Their pizza is great too, I recommend their sweet chicken chili slice. Me and my wife come here every year. Cant go wrong with Mamas.

2021-12-02New owners are running this place into the ground. They have some nerve leaving the prices the same when their food is not even half as good. Ordered a slice of penne pizza and it was thin crust and mushy, also ordered two soups and each soup had about a half of an inch of oil on the top. So disappointed, a great restaurant turning into mediocre food at best.
