Been trying to eat here since last Summer, but because of COVID, they were only doing takeout. TODAY I got to sit and enjoy and it was sooooo worth the wait!!!Guacamole was spot on and super fresh and the Carne Asada Tacos set a new standard!Well definitely be back!!
5 STAR DESSERT. GET THE SWEET CHIMICHANGA!Solid taco place. Keep coming back. Prices for tacos $3-4, enough meat and tortilla for 2 tacos. Tried most of them, get an al pastor.Steak quesadilla very good. Chicken quesadilla plain, but good. Chicken is shredded, with tomato and crema on the side.Ive tried a few other taco places in the area and this is still the best.

Did a take out order, was surprised based on the good reviews. Food was not great. No flavor, the chicken was super dry. I’ve never had such tasteless enchiladas before. Even the tres leches cake was pretty bad. It had a weird texture and flavor. Not going to order here again. Super disappointing.
It’s nice to have local Mexican food one can support. But the chicken tacos are not it. They are a bit bland with barely any seasoning. The al pastor taco was pretty good. The nachos weren’t bad the cheese sauce needs to be a bit more smooth. It’s not the worst and not the best. Hope to visit in the future with a better experience.
I totally reccomend coming here. The best burritos and Chimichangas you will ever have. The churro is amazing as well

First and LAST!-They lost my online order for about 15 mins.-When I get home the food is all cold.-Finally the food has absolutely horrible.It had NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The cheese flautas are a fried cheese stick and the chicken flautas are rotisserie chicken with no flavor. I ended up eating an ellioa pizza instead! Worst 80$ spent on food.
I discovered this gem about 3 months ago and I order from here at least once a week!! The food is SO fresh, the meats taste real and are seriously cooked perfectly every time. Not to mention I always complicate my order and their customer service is more then helping and happy to help me every time. The food is amazing, the people are awesome and the restaurant is small clean and quiet! Highly recommend!!

Fresh and delicious. The steak tacos are my favorite but everything we have tried is so yummy. The corn tortillas are so light they dont leave you feeling like you just ate a brick. Same for the nachos. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. The flavors are authentic. By far our favorite local Mexican go to spot.
I really wanted to like this place. I love authentic tacos served with onions and cilantro. Al Pastor taco was delicious. However, all the other tacos I tried were really bland. The chicken taco was like pulled white meat chicken that had zero seasoning. I would give this place another try with some of their other dishes but I probably wouldnt order tacos again.
Mamey Mexican Taqueria is great. Fast and friendly service and delicious tacos. The chicken and ground beef tacos are served in a soft shell with cilantro, onions, lime and salsa. This is how tacos should be served. While relatively plain and simple, they were still delicious. The location north of the Babylon train station is little bit easier to get to and less traffic and congestion then elsewhere in town.
We missed our transfer train at Babylon so we saw this place and decided to get some tacos and they were delicious, great chicken and beef tacos, recommended!
Tacos were pretty amazing, the quesadilla was a tad to greasy and when I say a tad dripping after one bite and napkins was a serious must... service was great and the wait time was shorter then expected.. would love more of a dining area to sit and eat, its rather small so you may wanna grab your food to go . !!! I will most definitely return for them tacos and empanadas .
Today was my first time trying Mameys.. the food was delicious! My husband loved the salmon tacos and the churros were delicious...i also loved the mushroom and vegetable tacos as well. The $2 taco special on Tuesday was amazing. The food was clean tasting, fresh ingredients, perfect portions and just overall really really good. We will be back ! Thank you for a great meal !!
Very clean and fresh ingredients, salsa was good. However a few things; first, the $2 taco is a great deal, however when you add the sour cream for $1 and then the guac for $1 etc, its not the deal it started as. Also, all three different tacos we had were intolerably salty. So if thats not your thing, maybe ask for NO extra salt. I left with a fried tongue and swollen ankles!

I ordered chicken tacos, the chicken is boiled and flavorless, and my chicken enchiladas the sauce tasted like tomato sauce. My daughter did enjoy the tostadas.
OMG! As a first timer I had a great experience. Here the food is fresh and fast and tasty. Usually I don’t ask for recommendations but I was suggested one and I absolutely fell in love with chimichangas. Service was amazing too, this adorable little boy was so friendly and smiley, and created a great conversation with me. I’m absolutely coming back for more :)
The food is great, but the service is amazing. All the employees are super courteous and make sure you are happy. I got the torta and my wife got the mixed tacos. Everything was amazing. The agua de Jamaica was really good as well. The place was super clean. Definitely my new Mexican spot. The only negative is that the AC was on too hugh. It was really cold inside, so we went to Argyle Park to eat which was great.

Came in today an ordered 3 tacos , Chicken Chorizo and Steak. The Empanadas I ordered Came 2 to an order and were chicken with cheese. My bill came to over $20.00 which I did not mind but empanadas alone were nearly 8 dollars which is way over priced for the portion. The chicken Empanadas were probably the most tasteless chicken Empanadas I have ever eaten or tried to eat in my life absolutely no flavor. The steak taco was yummy but now again the chicken inside the chicken taco no flavor and chorizo also very bland. The woman at counter was very nice and professional but I can saw I do not see my self returning to this place for any time soon. Just did not taste like the authentic Mexican taco I expected. Very disappointed 😔.
Lunch and dinner spot just north and west of the Babylon LIRR station. Food was decent- steak burrito was a little pricey and took longer than I expected, but it was hot and flavorful. There are a couple tables but not much room to eat in... More if a take out joint.
Fresh, Prepaired to order Authentic Mexican food. Made with care, Flavorful and filling. Mameys is up for Best of Long Island for her tacos. Definitely has my Vote. Fantastic take-out on the way home from the Train.
YUMMO!! The food is excellent and the prices are very good. They just added empanadas which were perfect. Theyre big so I ended up over ordering but Im happy to have the leftovers. Definitely give it a try!
Tres leches was like eating a hunk of butter, worst ive ever had. Veggies tasted gross. Carnitas were passable. People that think this is what authentic mexican food tastes like have never had authentic latin food of any kind.
This was a decent little mexican place. Ive only had the chicken burrito so far. Shredded chicken which was a little dry but decent. Should have more pico de gallo. I got it without rice which probably would have made it drier. Willing to go back and try other menu items and will give an update when I do.

Hidden gem! We had flautas, enchiladas, and chimichangas (sorry if spelling is off) and we all enjoyed our food. Churros were a delightful sweet treat at the end of our meal. Give it a try and see for yourself. Everyone was very cordial and welcoming.

Great homemade fresh tacos plus other great options. The pork and pineapple taco was amazing!! The hostess was very friendly and sweet. Parking on the street for all.
The place was nothing like I expected. It had 2 or 3 mexican decorations. No menus to look at or take home, just the board. The carnitas sift taco did not contain any queso blanco, not as authentic as advertised...not sure if I will be back.

Terrible tacos, it felt like didnt add salt to it nor did season the beef. The tortillas was undercook had a hard swallowing it. If you think this was authentic Mexican then youve never had real Mexican tacos.

It was an amazing experience coming to restaurant coming from Robert Moses Park Into Babylon A Little Distance But The food was amazing and worth it love the shrimp tacos quesadilla and sopes we’re definitely irresistible they top it with perfections it does has long waits time and limited seating hence the 4 star rating but the wait time are worth it if you like authentic Mexican Food cooked right honestly best restaurant in Babylon hands down and the customer service experience was amazing and if you have room for more the churros and horchata are always a plus thank you to everyone for the experience

Nearest thing to a legit tacoreia in the area. Its pretty close. Its not like the wonderful little ghetto tacoreias you get in the cities of the south west, but its almost that good, which makes it the best around here.

2022-07-11I love this place. My boyfriend and I find this place a year ago. The carnitas tacos are the best! Also the variety of soft drinks that they have are good. The service is really good, too. The lady who works in front is the sweetest person. The prices here are very reasonable. If you are looking for a good place and authentic Mexican food, you must to try this restaurant.

2022-04-25I ordered bean tacos and this is what they gave me. It looks like they slapped a bunch of canned beans on a bunch of cold tortillas. No flavor at all. I don’t think I would try anything else on the menu. These tacos were very disappointing.

2022-06-05Nice people, thats almost enough for me. What makes it is the food! Very good food at a good price. A few tables to sit at and some Mexican music playing softly makes for a nice inexpensive place to eat, everything is fresh. The only downside is they dont have a liquor license so no beer or margaritas. Thats why I left off one star. However a good bar right next door with a happy hour. I suggest going to the bar for happy hour Margaritas and then Mameys for food. Enjoy

2019-11-23Got a mountain of guac. Was so delicious I devoured it almost instantly. This place is the best. The staff is so nice, its family owned and authentic. Also has vegan options but just looking at the food its definitely for everybody
