So, I bought my first car November 20, 2021 as my 44th birthday gift to myself. December 7, I went to Trader Joe’s after work near my new job in LI, and some 75 year old man backs into my right rear door after not checking his rear view mirror. Since it was his fault, I had to get an estimate through his insurance. I get to Manhattan Auto Care after speaking to Richard who said they’re usually not open Saturdays but would be there that Saturday…nobody’s there (or at least anywhere I can see them). After waiting and checking back for an hour, I get in my new-to-me car to head home and my battery is dead. 🤦🏽♀️ I’m kind of glad I waited the 3.5 hours for roadside assistance to go get my battery changed at the dealer I bought the car from, because I finally catch Richard coming out to get in his car and ended up getting my estimate started. I liked his straightforward attitude and decided to use him instead of another repair service.Richard was great from the time I met him till the time my service was complete. When I went in to drop off my car for repairs, he asks if I want him to call Enterprise. I let him know I already had a car reservation, then he informs me that they would pick me up to get my rental. Enterprise had not only previously let me know that this service was offered. That not only saved me $2.75 on the subway but also saved me from the germs and annoyances of the subway! Lol.I went to pick my car up this afternoon. Not only was the dent fixed immaculately, but my car was cleaner than when I dropped it off. I will be using Manhattan Auto Care for my mechanic from now on.Thanks again, Richard and team!
Where to start... After a nice golf outing followed by a lovely trip visiting family in Long Island, we noticed that someone had sideswiped our car, which actually, was a borrowed car from our in-laws. Yikes. There was an obvious scratch on the side of the car and also a dent in the front as well. It just so happened that my in-laws were also preparing to trade the car in for a newer model that week. Panicked set in instantly when we discovered the very noticeable damage to the car and my next (panicked) call was to Manhattan AutoCare.The receptionist was so incredibly nice, which is rare in Manhattan especially when temperatures exceed 85 degrees, and explained that I should probably just bring the car in now if I was able. When I actually got to the office, Richard (the owner) came out to inspect the car and while I waited to hear the exorbitant estimate, I was surprised to receive an estimate that was actually affordable. I had to hug him to not break out in tears. I would also like to note that this is not an exaggeration, at all.Richard and his team fixed the Subaru that day, within hours, detailed the car and actually suggested an option that would be less expensive as it related to the repairs. When I tell you that the car looked good as new, believe me. I was so incredibly grateful that I had to send lunch. They truly are a really nice group of people and Im glad that we have a place in the neighborhood that does quality work without breaking wallets, with an awesome attitude.Were bringing our other car here as well!

I had a great experience with Manhattan Auto Care. Most people never want to have to take their vehicle in for repairs, but they made the experience far more pleasant than I could have hoped for. They were recommended to me by my insurance company, and I am so glad they were.I dropped my car off on a Friday expecting it to take a week or more, and they were able to have it repaired and in perfect shape by Monday afternoon. They went above and beyond to communicate with me and keep me in the loop every step of the way. Richard could tell that I was concerned about the situation and he not only helped me through it, but offered amazing advice in navigating the situation with my car and insurance.I have so many great thing to say about MAC. I am just so thankful that I got so lucky in having a great team with Richard and everyone there.Five stars isnt enough for the job they did. My car looks and runs like brand new! My transmission was about to go out on me. I took my car to this establishment and despite car shield holding up the repair that was needed I STILL TRUST this place with my car. He has done work before and as long as he is open for business he will always have a customers. 😃😃😃

I had body work done at this facility as a result a small car accident. This was the place the insurance company partnered with. The quality of the work was awesome and it was done quicker than expected. My car looks great and they returned it cleaner than I ever had it! At the end, I had a little glitch with my key fob (remote) and the owner was professional and made sure the problem was resolved with no hassle -- WHICH IT WAS. I was very happy with the service and quality. Would definitely recommend this place.

I unexpectedly needed an oil change and engine check last month right before heading out of the city on a long drive, and these guys were very nice about squeezing me in last minute. They were super busy, and it seemed like a stressful morning because there was a lot of construction going on outside that was causing traffic confusion, but they were fast and kind anyway, which I really appreciated. The service was great, and Rich in particular was very helpful. Highly recommend this place!
I recently had body work done at Manhattan Auto Care. They are a certified partner of my insurance company and the entire process was seamless. Richard, the owner, is a man of few words, but a straight shooter.I havent had to deal with an auto body shop in a long time and Manhattan Auto care made it as enjoyable as can be.They took care of the car and gave me an estimated completion date. I received a text from the body shop everyday giving me an update. The car was completed on time and the work was great! If youre looking for an auto body shop in Manhattan, look no further. The work on our car was excellent and we are happy to have found a trusted body shop in Manhattan. Our car was hit while parked. Thankfully, the driver left a note and we were able to go through his insurance to get our repair. The company referred us to Manhattan Auto Care. Otherwise, we probably never would have met Rich. Rich was excellent from the first moment. He took very good care of our car and finished the job in exactly the amount of time he said he would. The car looks brand new! Hes a great guy - a true New Yorker - a blast from the past. Hopefully our car never gets hit again, but if it does, we will happily take it back to Rich.
Did a great job on my car. Dealt with the nightmare insurance I had to go through as well. A couple days after I noticed something, brought it back and they helped me out with no issues. Super honest and take pride in their work
Manhattan Auto Care was recommended by a co-worker. I gave it a shot and cannot say enough about their work. My vehicle was side swipped and every part of the passenger side was damaged. Rich Rubino, who I later found out was the owner, took the time to explain the entire procedure to me. His estimate was pretty much dead on. I cant say enough about their professionalism and quality of work. While I hope I never need their services again, I would recommend them to anyone requiring body work.Thank Rich! The staff at Manhattan auto care are fantastic. Youre always greeted with a smile. I felt so comfortable leaving my car was such a confident team. Rich the owner was super involved and let me know when the vehicle will be ready. Original estimate was gonna be over three weeks and they were able to do it in half that time. As a woman and mother, finding a mechanic that is reliable and honest is so difficult, slime to none. This is not the case with Manhattan Auto Care. From the first time I came there for an emergency service, I knew that they were going to take care of me and my car. I had two last minute emergencies within the same week that occurred later in the day before closing, they did their best to accommodate me and take care of my car issues within an hour, almost instantaneously. They treated me like family there. I highly recommend this place for any one who lives or work in the area, or anyone else who willing to drive down to them.

We had a repair that was coming through our insurance company; our insurer sent a list of places where we could get the repair done, & Manhattan Auto Care was the closest place on the list and seemed solid enough.Well, my experience was even better than solid enough. It was easy, honest, straightforward, and quick -- and an excellent job on the repair itself. Further, our insurer screwed up a bit of the business / payment / red tape part of this process, but Richard, the owner/manager of the shop who I dealt with directly, masked-up but safely face-to-face, handled it with ease and understanding.I would recommend Manhattan Auto Care on Delancey Street to anyone and will be returning to them for our auto care needs.I might add that I grew up in a midwestern town where my family had a friendly mechanic down the street whose shop handled all of our auto needs. My parents have known Ken for 40 years -- he was our go-to automotive savior and, as my octogenarian parents are still driving and are too stubborn for new cars, they therefore still make frequent trips to Kens shop. Theyve grown old together!I feel as if Manhattan Auto Care on Delancey St. could be that kind of place (if my own family stays in this area). Richard could be our Ken. Straightforward, honest, and no-nonsense. Five stars. Id deliver ten stars, if I could.

Richard, the owner and manager of Manhattan auto care Inc., took excellent care of me after my car needed collision repair recently. The entire situation was handled professionally and efficiently! I felt like I was getting personal attention as well as follow through! During the time of dropping off and picking up my vehicle I witnessed other customers also experience the same level of excellence and personal attention! I would recommend this facility to anyone requiring auto bodywork. I have been told they do excellent mechanical repair work in the same professional and efficient manner. The entire side of my car got scratched when a valet was taking it out of the garage. Since the garage paid for it I’m not sure about pricing, however, after the shop fixed up my car it looked good as new! The guys working on my car were professional and were able to fix it up quickly. Thank you!
I brought in my vehicle for a body damage estimate per directions from my insurance carrier. Prior to the inspection and quote of my damage, the gentleman who serviced me asked when I would like them to take care of the body work. The place is a little office but part of a parking lot and I was a bit skeptical of the type of work they will perform. After a lengthy discussion, I said my preference is to use another mechanic for body work and after I said that the gentleman became ver unprofessional and short. During the discussion, the gentleman asked me if I had a deductible. After stating I have a $1,000 deductible, the gentleman said that the cost will certainly exceed $1,000, but after I refused to use them for body work, the quote that they sent my insurance company was conveniently under $1,000.This place is very shady. Please be careful.
Highly recommend! Richard is incredibly friendly and thorough. I immediately knew I was in good hands. He took the time to explain everything to me regarding my car that was hit while it was parked. They sent progress emails along the way so I was always in the loop. The shop is beautiful and the repair was flawless. Also, the car was cleaned and smelled lovely when I picked it up. Very happy I found this spot!
Owner is a bit gruff, or to put it more positively a classic New Yorker. They got done what they said they would and dealt with horrid insurance company (Allstate) well. I would recommend to all.
I got my bumper fixed and they are very friendly and kind ! Gave me a reasonable estimate and done very quickly. My car looks better than ever cant even tell I have got it done and they are very good at what they do! Also, gave me a car was and cleaned my tires, my car was very dirty haha. My car got side swiped on the west side highway my door was scratched and side view mirror cracked; we brought it here and spoke with RICHARD and his service, care, and turn around time WAS IMPECCABLE!!! 🌟🌟🌟A+ customer service , fantastic pricing, super quick turnaround time and a phenomenal job on the car it looks brand new !! I went to Manhattan Auto Care today when I had a tire that went flat earlier in the day. They got me in immediately, checked my tire thoroughly to look for for leaks or anything that had pierced it and filled it back up with air. Their staff was incredibly friendly and I would absolutely recommend them and will be back if I have any other issues with my car.
I wish most other businesses treated me this way. They go the extra step to make sure you are satisfied. Service with a smile. Excellent work. Definitely plan on using them again. Richard is caring and a pleasure to work with. A real class operation.
Its never fun when someone hits your car and you have to get it repaired. But, this shop made the process as easy as possible, including dealing with the insurance company. I would definitely recommend them for all kinds of repairs.
Great experience-- they fixed a tire for me in 45 minutes :) This morning I had a flat tire and a long drive planned-- they were able to help me right away, fixing the tire and sending me on my way. Two years ago they did some body work for us and we also had a great experience-- the estimate was fair, the work was done exactly when they said, and you couldnt tell it wasnt original. Thank you!
Had an issue with air conditioner fluid. Could have scammed me like most would but instead didnt even charge the lift fee and refused a tip. Highly recommend!
This is my very first car, so I don’t have much experience, how ever the staff here has been very pleasant and informative. The prices here are phenomenal. This will definitely be my ideal place to go for any repairs. Highly recommended, 5 stars well worth it!!!

After visiting 3 different mechanics/shops for the same electrical problem, I ended up at Manhattan Auto Care. I left my car with Rich and he told me he and his team will take a look and determine what I need to fix the problem once and for all. He called me the next day and he told me the problem was missed by the other mechanics and the issue was a simple fix. Manhattan Auto Care fixed what others charged me a lot of money for but couldn’t fix. Rich was very courteous, professional and honest (only charging me for a minor repair that was being overlooked). It’s hard to find a professional and honest shop these days. I highly recommend Manhattan Auto Care.
My car was rear end by a truck. Manhattan Autocare did the fix for my car. Perfect as brand new. They are also kind enough to give me a free detail cleaning and oil change. The boss Richard is very patience and friendly.

I honestly dont see why they feel the owner was a bad person or his attitude. Treated me with respect. Repairs to my honda crv was repaired wonderfully and 1 month later no problems still . Had to come back for an oil change and the owner remembered who I was. Rich and his receptionist were amazing and there timely fanshional calls were fast and great. I will recommend again.
This place is truly a family owned business and has been doing this for a long time. They helped me with my 1968 Lincoln and have done work on other cars for me as well. Richard and his team did an excellent job fixing my car in a timely and professional manner. They have great coffee, good conversation and though I hope to not get in any more car accidents, if I do, I will definitely bring my car to Richard. Ive taken my car here for a number of things from oil change or state inspection to replacing a motorized seat damaged during the hurricane. While their attitude may be blunt, they are honest, reputable and fairly priced. As with any service you are contracting for, you need to be very clear about what you want to avoid any confusion or miscommunication. They have gone above and beyond to complete my repairs and they have been courteous, thorough and complete. I never get a sense that I have to worry about the integrity of the work or the safety of my car. (Which I cant say about other repair shops).I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them and I will be bringing my car back to them when it needs it.
Great Service and they were not even open! Long story short...it was a Saturday and our car had almost run out of coolant on the Williamsburg bridge. We called Manhattan Auto Care and the shop wasnt open but Richard still helped us out over the phone...and we called back multiple times!! He got us to a gas station where we were able to find the right coolant for our car and we were on our way. Thank you Richard!!!
Manhattan Auto Care just completed some body work on my fender and bumper. The work was done ahead of schedule and on budget (estimate). The car was like new and they had clearly washed the entire car, cleaned and vacuumed and looked like new. Thanks again for the great job. I would most definitely use your service again.
Do not take your car to Richie at Manhattan auto care for repair his mechanics are the worst they dont no what there doing and Richie the owner also has no experience. In auto repair he does everything on the fly takes your money and never fixes the problem Richie has a disposition Thats the worst he stays behind the counter and lets his girls with additude. Answer the phones charges lots of money and rips off people.car was vibrating. Charged me $1000 to pull engine 3 months later vibrating Again he wanted $1500.00 to fix he never fixed it properly first time he told me it was not the same problem he should have refunded my $1000 for not fixing had my car fixed at another shop perfect mechanics and owner hands on so never ever bring your car for repair at Manhattan auto care, he is a nightmare
Great people! My jeep had a noisy engine. I was driving from Florida to Boston and was in a rut. The gentleman from the center took time out of his busy schedule to look at the vehicle and let me know that I would be alright getting to Boston and the Jeep was safe to drive. I am grateful that they cared a lot and went out of their way and for the expertise. -David

Big thumbs up!I am a thorough researcher and Manhattan Auto Care met my high standards. My Toyota Tundra Pickup had its nose crushed and the chasis bent to the right due to a hit and run. Rich the owner gave me a solid assesment and along with Tanisha the office manager made sure all the insurance negotiations were sorted out with zero costs on my end.The most important aspect of course is how well my baby was fixed? Great repair shop. Ive gone to them twice. The receptionist always gets to you quickly. The repair work is always flawless. And, they give the car back to you spick and span inside and out. I couldnt ask for more.

The service has been exemplary for modest prices, excellent repair, helpful advice, and genuine concern for our needs and requests. Theyve kept our now 16 year old Ford Focus alive and well. I got flat tire while driving to work. Went to Manhattan Auto Care at lunch time and my tire was fixed immediately. Not that the service was excellent, fast and professional I wasn’t charge a dime and I was thanked for my service as a Health Care worker (Nurse). Thank you MANHATTAN AUTO CARE!!!!!
I walked in to find out how much they was going to charge me to change the ball joint and control arm on my car he try to charge e more then my mechanic which is Sam’s auto Sam is charging me 300 for all the work which is change the ball joint and control arm and Alignment. Manhattan auto Carr was charging me 329 just for the ball joint and control arm, I told him my mechanic is charging me 300 for everything, the manger just waved at me good bye instead of working with me. I will never go there again.
The guys at the shop are great! We had a problem with our tires, and they took care of it immediately. Anytime we need something fixed on our car no matter how small, they are there for us. Thank you!
They did a really nice job, I was pleasantly surprised. I had two separate claims and they handled the interaction with the insurance company, and had the car finished in a week. I had previously gone to the dealership for a previous claim, and they were awful. So hopefully no more damage, but if there is I will go back.

Although my vehicle was totaled, the owner and staff gave me a sense of security. The staff was thoughtful and the owner was very hands on. He even took the time out to speak with me about my vehicle on several occasions no matter what time I called he explained everything I needed to know and more. Worse place dont come here Richard is nasty ! He refused to change my tire Only accepts cash . I walked to get the money up the block as he instructed me to while he starts the repair. I come back and he said take your car of my lot. RUDE!!!!!!!! Go to Ludlow Garage they treat you with excellent customer service location 151 Attorney Street!!! People dont discard the 3.7 stars ... low rating for a reason !!!!! This place dont deserve your hard earned money!!!! While driving 3 little kids to school, I got a tire alert on my car. Tire was nearly flat. Stopped by this place to try and get some air. I was told, in a hostile way, by the manager/owner “we don’t have air for the public”. I offered to pay for the air and was told no way. Even after explaining my situation - trying to get the kids to school on time, he rudely said no way, and while walking away mentioned that he would sell us a new tire and we could pay him to change it for us. This was at 7:45am on a Tuesday morning with no other customers. Refused to help out a mom with 3 little kids on their way to school with a little air. That should tell you all you need to know about this place.
Had a mishap with my car where the battery cap came loose during some previous service and the car wouldn’t start. After getting a jump, I went to Manhattan auto care and they took care of tightening the cap within five minutes of my arrival and didn’t make me pay for it. Very professional and kind!

I seemed to have a leak in my tire so keeping my car in the adjacent garage, i asked the mechanics onsite to take a look at it. They did not detect a leak and kept the car overnight to check it the following day, and still found nothing. They called me to let me know and didnt charge me anything. You may not get the warmest greeting from the manager, but they are honest and Ill take that any day over someone who smiles in my face while he sticks his hand in my pocket.
I caught a flat and got stranded in the middle of the Bronx, Ny. I went on google and the closest place was Manhattan Auto Care, When I arrived the owner was professional and he even gave me $20 discount when he found out that i was a essential worker. I’m more than satisfied and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone.

It is a Geico Authorized Repair Center, so it is reliable. The insurance company give me the option, so I choose the one in Manhattan. It fixed my car perfect and it sent me text message about the update of my car, which makes you know the condition.
They fixed my muffler instantly! I thought I would have to wait days but only took 1 hour! So thankful! Will definitely be back.
I have used Manhattan Auto Care multiple times. Their body work and painting is top notch. If you have an accident and want your car returned in mint condition these folks are the ones you want.
My garage damaged my car and they work with Manhattan Auto care. They came to pick up my car from the garage and brought it back the care looks like new. They washed it as well.Hopefully I won’t need a body shop again but if I will need I know where to go.
Refuses to help if you come in with your factory parts its not cost effective,i understand shops have to make money but to charge people list prices when they get at cost.a fender cost about $39 dollars the shops charge well over $200 for the same unpainted fender. if anything try to remember look for shops that want help not rip you off

This was a very easy experience for me. The insurance company, along with Manhattan Auto Care really took charge, and handled everything for me. They kept me in the loop, but for the most part got straight to work to make sure the repairs would be done on time.

Wanted to specifically take time out of my busy day to let everyone know this place sucks. Walked in - the guy did not lift his eyes from the paperwork. Asked if they can help me with a flat tire. 5 minutes of silent paper shuffling the guy called someone from downstairs who came up. When I asked - Wait, but how much he said To plug its $20. Everyone knows a tire plug is about $5. I said Reeally?!. Then he looked me in the eyes for the first time and said What, too much? then he turned to his worker and told him Ok go back to work.. So I left.Little did he know I work around the corner and also needed a ton of bodywork, so it would be a perfect place to leave my car for a few days.Stay away. Really.

2021-03-07Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good man, once you get them, you better lock on. Unfortunately I cant put a ring on Manhattan Auto Care but I can be a loyal customer (Which I intend to do). The service for my car was great but the customer service from Richard and his team were beyond words. My car was involved in a hit and run which caused a busted tail light, that was covered by my insurance. Not only did my car look as good as new, their mechanic caught other issues and quoted me a great price to fix! Everytime I look at my bank account and see how much money I saved I cant help but drop it like its hot, and because I saved so much I can afford a chiropractor so I can pick it back up. After one visit I am hooked and I know I have found my new car repair shop for life. Thank you Manhattan Auto Care!

2022-04-04STAY AWAY!!! Overpriced. Extremely rude.The man in charged was so rude, refused to give me a written estimate, then when another client arrived ignored me, and said I needed to wait. Was giving me an estimate, pricing, without even looking at the entire car. Please do not waste your time here. You will regret it! Pricing is ridiculous, without taking the time to even look at the car.

2020-12-03First I want to start by saying I was a little hesitant on getting work done on my car again. Mainly because before this time around two weeks prior someone hit my car while it was parked. I had by far the worst experience imaginable. My car only had bumper issues. Which should of been straight forward. Replace the bumper and the components. But nope they had my car over a month. So I was out on car rental cost as well as paying out of pocket for the damage. Ontop of that they didnt replace everything they were supposed to. I wont put the shop name because I dont feel its the proper thing to do. Karma takes control of that.So I ran across Manhattan Auto Care. I read the reviews and they seemed to be legit. I saw the owner was retired Law Enforcement so that was a plus. I had to have my car towed there. And I would say a few hours I received a call from a young lady. I sent over the necessary documents. And from there I started to receive text messages on the progress. I have never known any other place to keep you informed in such a convenient way. My car was supposed to be done on a specific day. But a few days earlier I received a text stating it would be two days more. That was fine with me because it gave me time to rearrange things around. Picked up my car on the new date and was blown away. Highly recommended.
