Overall a very comfortable, economical choice! My room was like a mini studio apartment that came with a mini kitchen and dining area! Definitely recommend staying for the cleanliness, price, location! Close to the Adirondacks
We cycled through the Adirondacks and stayed here along the way. The owner is very accommodating, friendly and kind. We loved the cabin we stayed in...rustic, quaint, clean & comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!
Cant speak for entire property. Stayed in one of the cabins. Needs to be knocked down, floor in bath has hole covered not repaired, shower is hideous, mosty smell of mold, hole in freeze board over door (probably squirrell). I like the location, just needs some attention and time to let some things go.
My friend and I stayed here while we hiked the Santanoni Range and the following day Giant and Rocky. It was the perfect distance between the two. The owners live on site. We had to cancel a day due to hiking weather and they didnt charge us. They were really friendly. Our room worked for what we needed it for !
Stayed there for three nights in February. Spacious room with king sized bed, mini refrig, microwave, coffeemaker, bathroom also was large. It was clean, very comfortable and warm. We will definitely stay there again when in Schroon Lake. Only thing I would like to see added to the bathroom is a shelf to place toiletries.
I love this place!! The man and his wife who I think were the owners were so friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean. I love the location, I literally didnt want to leave the motel or the area! They have a library as well, if you dont finish reading the book they let you take it with you. We were over an hour late getting out of there so I went to pay extra and she wouldnt let me. Amazing place, I cant wait to go back!

Close to but not on Schroon Lake. Spacious comfortable room with mini fridge and microwave. Air conditioning is a built in window unit thats a little hard to keep comfortable since its aimed right at the bed. Bed us fairly comfortable with nice pillows. Everything is very clean. Parking lot had plenty of room for our truck and boat.
Staying the night here. Stay at hotel between 3 & 5 nights a week. Seems like a decent place. Needed a room short notice, owner was nice. Sheets are crisp and clean. Shower was hot. Old 20 some inch TV, other than that everything is decent.
I have stayed there 2 years in a row now for the Worship in the Adirondacks Music Festival. Ive already booked again for next year. Just what is needed and very clean. Rick and his family are very friendly and accomodating.
The first red flag about this motel was when I informed them of a late arrival, I was told that the door would be unlocked with the lights on so I could make sure no one broke in. In the room, the sheets and blanket were dirty with black hair, the sound was broken on the tv, and there was no wifi. Upon waking up the first morning, I found some ants in the bathroom. There were more ants late at night, but no one was in the office to report. On checkout morning the room was infested with ants, getting into my clothes and belongings. There was again no one in the office to report to and therefore I showed the cleaning staff. When I spoke to the hosts on the phone, they denied there being ants and stated cleaning staff denied seeing them. I offered to send them the photos I took, and they did not care. They instead accused me of bringing in hundreds of ants from outside in the winter when there was 2-4 feet of snow on the ground. They refused to give a refund or discount and they were rude and unprofessional on the phone. I have never had such an awful experience and do not plan on returning. I do not recommend this motel.
Simple, quiet and clean. Would definitely stay here again. Stayed first warm night of the year and I couldnt figure out A/C. Owner came right over even though it was at night and helped me out. He was super nice and a joy to work with. Thank you!
The owner of the place was very very nice. We needed some cutlery around 7am, some tools for minor repairs etc. He helped us with all our needs and requests. Place was clean, quite, and warm.
Owner was friendly and had good recommendations for scenery and a local burger place (Flanagans bar and grill). Room was bug-free and mattress looked new. Room and furniture were just dated.
Great, inexpensive motel! Clean non-smoking room, everything in good repair, near and tidy. Fridge, microwave, and sink were a great surprise and much appreciated on our travels. Plenty of hot water in the shower!
Nice & clean place. Pretty comfort beds. Wi-fi was very slow. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the area, so better to have repellent.

I strongly do not recommend staying at this establishment if that is What you would like I call it. The bathroom was so disgusting my wife wouldn’t shower or the toilet due to the fact that it was not clean.

Bathroom was failing apart, mold on all the caulk around the tub. Room smell bad when we first went into it. Smoke alarm doesn’t work and falling off the ceiling. No internet. The Ac unit on the wall looks new though.
The stay was enjoyed . Lots of places to go to from here. Second time stayed and will again.

Just came back from a hike of Mt Marcy and we stayed at this place overnight. Spacious rooms, clean bathroom and a nice comfy bed...not much more you could ask for 79 pops a night.
Did the job for a lumpy bed but wasn’t great. Stayed in several places in the Adirondacks and can say this was the least favorite.

2022-01-01I suppose some would think that what Im about to share would warrant less stars for this motel, but we really couldnt give it a bad review.First, Cat, the manager was really very helpful and very nice. [There is a new owner, since September or October of 2021. We didnt have the chance to meet him at the time.].We initially stayed in the Deluxe Cabin, which was very cozy but sadly we had a leak in the bathroom on the second night. Cat was very apologetic and immediately offered us another room which suited us just fine. She explained that the new owner had just recently purchased the motel from Rich, the former owner of either 20 or 40 years (cant remember) and that they were renovating (and planning to renovate) some of the rooms and cabins.While we loved the silence of the cabin, the room we were given after the leak, while near the road, was still very silent. There definitely needs to be some tweaking in the cabin and room (like making sure wall anchors are sturdy, etc.), but, again, the place is under new management and they are renovating over time.We would certainly reconsider coming here again when the cabins are renovated. As for the room we were given (102), it was very spacious and well equipped. And the bed was definitely more comfortable than in the cabin.Thank you very much for our stay here. We hope and pray all goes well with the renovations. Happy New Year!!!

2021-05-07The place has seen some years. The beds looked to be some sort of 4-5 inch topper on a box spring. The heat is a radiator, do not adjust over 65° or you will be hot. The outside temp was 40-50° that night. Their is a kitchenette and some rough looking carpet. Only soap in the bathroom. The outside is well maintained.

2021-04-27The gentleman who checked me in is a true gentleman. Got me into my room early in the morning last minute and gave me a great room to boot. Could not ask for more. My room is clean !! And very comfortable. Also very quiet. I would definitely come back here and stay again.

2020-08-05We had a great stay here! The bungalow was perfect for our few days visiting the Adirondacks. The owner was nice and the housekeeping was good as well.This is not a 5 star chain hotel. Its rustic and on the older side. If you stayed in cabins before you will be fine with the bungalows.

2020-08-16Very charming and comfortable little cabin in a rustic setting. 20 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to fabulous Trail Bend restaurant. And Rick the host was most super accommodating. When my TV went out he reprogrammed it right away. And he was even so kind as to offer me a ride to the beach. Will definitely return next summer for 2 weeks
