Like many reviewers, we were extremely happy with our sales experience at Marcellas. We bought a refrigerator and dishwasher from them recently. Sales and installation were professional, helpful, truthful, and just great overall. We recently bought a microwave from another local store - there is just no comparison. You go in the door and there is someone to greet you. Weve only lived here five years, but in the future this is the only place Ill go for appliances.
Over the past 21 years, we have purchased numerous appliances from Marcellas, and we have never been disappointed. Every time, the sales people have been helpful and knowledgeable, the installation has worked out well, and the appliances have functioned exactly as promised.Our most recent purchase experience (2021) was complicated by the Covid-19 pandemic and accompanying complications in the supply chain (everything delayed!) as well as being complicated by the universal shortages in manpower. Andrew at Marcellas worked consistently with us to make sure that, despite the problems of the year 2021 and the complications that their business faced, all went well, ultimately.Every time I had contact with Marcellas, I felt as if I were their most important customer. Andrew knew exactly who I was, what needed to be done in order to complete the delivery and installation of the double ovens we had selected (not a straightforward installation), and he knew when we had last spoken and what we had talked about. Andrew was proactive about working through a number of problems. The best!!Professional. Knowledgeable. Patient. Reliable. Great old-fashioned home-town service!! A real pleasure to continue working with Marcellas!!
Julianna and James were amazing, beyond helpful! My washer broke five days before I was supposed to leave for vacation. I came into Marcella’s on a Friday afternoon and my washer was delivered and installed by the following Wednesday. Julianna and James made the sales process so quick and easy. I can’t say enough about their excellent customer service. They were also able to beat Lowe’s and Home Depot’s price and delivery time, which was great. The delivery team was also amazing. I got a text saying they would be to my house in 45 minutes and in exactly 45 minutes they were in my driveway. Very professional and efficient everything was hooked up and ready to go in about 30 minutes. From start to finish the Marcella’s team reallly delivered a great buying experience.
I had an amazing experience with Marcellas! Not only was Ryan wonderful in the sales department but Jerome and Jeff (the individuals that delivered our refrigerator) were such personable and knowledgeable people. They went above and beyond and made sure that everything was hooked up, worked well and even made sure that it was secure and did not wobble. I am so grateful for the wonderful experience I had with this company (especially with the delivery) and I will definitely be going to them them to get appliances in the future.
Fridge came with dents and microwave was installed with no vent. Freezing cold air comes into house through microwave. Salesman named James did nothing to help us and was very rude on phone. He never returned any calls either. Thats not how u do business. I recommend going somewhere else. Family members know the owner and they will definitely be in touch with him.
I can’t say enough great things about Marcella’s. It started with Mike our sales rep who kept us in touch on the status of our 4 appliances we ordered with the delays due to Covid. It was worth the wait and Jonathan in install was amazing helping us with the install. We couldn’t be happier and they all care like we were family.I highly recommend Marcella’s, the pricing was the best and the delivery and install was seamless. You won’t be disappointed. My wife and I can’t say enough great things about Marcella’a Appliance Center!!! We recently renovated our kitchen and purchased a number of appliances from Jay Krupanich. We were so fortunate to work with him. His knowledge and experience really shined through. He was able to expertly advise us on the type and style of appliances to purchase and provided competitive pricing. In addition, their delivery and installation staff have been top-notch - each extremely skilled, experienced and professional. You can tell that the corporate culture at Marcella’s is one of patience and compassion - always placing the customer first. We had some issues with damaged appliances and they didn’t hesitate to correct it immediately. Julianna and Andy in the delivery department have been wonderful to work with. Altogether, as long-time customers, we have had yet another wonderful experience with Marcella’s and plan to make them our go-to appliance dealer for years to come!!!
On my recent visit to marcellas me and my wife was going there with a happy mind to get a refrigerator upon entry the first person we met is the front desk lady who was very rude and don’t even treat us as a customer however from then we knew that something was not right here then another guy was with us looking up the refrigerators unfortunately for us he’s the same then to add salt to the wound both me and my wife couldn’t approve for just a 1200 dollars refrigerator when we have both have credit cards approval for thousands of dollars from other companies and We both have house and cars owned and decent paid jobs. The experience was very terrible we felt they looking at faces to get deals. Couple days later we went to Home Depot and got approved for a bigger better refrigerator. We still ask ourselves why
I have been buying from Marcellas since 1984 when John was selling out of his garage. The salesman was very helpful. He knew all about the different models and was able to help me pick the best one for my needs. I picked up the dishwasher and when I opened it, it was dented in multiple locations. Ill update this review when I see how they handle my problem.Update 1/10/2019: Marcellas response to my problem was somewhat mixed. The good is that I did get a replacement dishwasher. They worked to find one as quickly as they could since a replacement wasnt in stock. It took a little less than 2 weeks. The bad was that I had 5 phone calls not returned and only one of the four different people I talked to apologized for the problem. No compensation was offered for my problems, however I did convince them to deliver it for free.I will go back next time I need another appliance since this is the first problem I have experienced in almost 35 years.
We bought a fixer upper this summer and had to completely redo the kitchen. We went to Marcellas to order appliances because they had the best prices. Steve DeAmelia was such a help picking out what we needed. He explained everything thoroughly and gave us great advice on how to get appliances sooner since factories were back ordered due to Covid. We bought all our appliances and waited about a month and a half for them to come in (we knew this going in).We had bought a dishwasher that was on site but the number in the computer was wrong so when we went to pick it up it had been sold. Steve helped us out so much by getting a replacement in within a few days, and on top of that had ALL our appliances delivered at that time as well, sooner than originally planned.When we received our refrigerator there was a small dent and a scratch (manufactures error). Steve immediately ordered replacement doors that will be installed when they arrive, so we could use our fridge in the meantime.Errors happen no matter where you shop, it’s how the business handles it that matters, and Marcellas did a great job handling our mistakes.We’re very pleased with the service at Marcellas and with Steve, we’ll be buying all our future appliances there!
Marcella’s has gone above and beyond on both sales and install. My salesman was friendly, knowledgeable, didn’t try to “up-sell” me, and knew the right questions to ask to make sure I would be happy with my appliance (dishwasher). The installer arrived during the time slot given, diagnosed some apparently long-standing issues that previous installers had not noticed, and fixed them so that the dishwasher I had selected would not only fit, but function better for longevity. I will buy all future appliances from this company! Well done!
Went today to buy two appliances based on a flyer that Marcella’s sent out. Salesman rudely told us that they did not have the items in the flyer and that we could speak to Mr. Marcella about the situation. We bought two appliances this summer from Marcella’s. I do not appreciate the manner we were spoken to and that Marcella’s is doing false advertising. Needless to say we left and will spend our money else were.Thank you to John Marcella for reaching out and completely rectifying this situation.
This is my go to for appliances. I have purchased appliances here for years without problems. Sales people are not pushy, they will answer your questions, tell you about upcoming sales to save you money and give you written quotes including delivery charges, tax, etc. on the spot. I have compared prices each time and almost always Marcellas either meets or beats the prices I have found from competitors including the big box stores. They have always been great at setting up and installing the appliances without causing other issues during the delivery process.
I ordered a refrigerator, dishwasher, range and exhaust hood in early JULY 2020. Today is FEBRUARY 8, 2021. EIGHT MONTHS LATER I still cannot use the dishwasher (which is the third one delivered) or the exhaust. The first dishwasher installed was not the one I ordered. The second one (the correct model BOSCH) died after 2 uses. For another $1,000 I upgraded to a Miele but it was delivered without a necessary part. The OX exhaust hood spews the grease to the outside of the unit and all over my walls, light fixtures, etc. Not only is that a poor fitting installation, a corregated paper like product was used where the manufacturer states use rigid metal ductwork only to avoid fire hazard.Phone calls are usually unanswered. I can only assume that they are working on ordering replacements yet again. Neither product, installation, nor customer service is what it used to be. Buyers beware!Continued:Update on February 19, Yes James Raqette called me and said hed set up an appointment at my home with builder and Marcellas rep to determine what has to be done and by whom. To date that has not happened. There seems to be a serious communication problem between sales and service at Marcellas. Stay tuned.
Great place to shop for Appliances. Large showroom (Schenectady) with a great variety of appliances from different manufacturers and price points. Our salesperson, Steve, was extremely knowledgeable and low pressure. Steve listened to our desires and needs. He gave us the data we needed to make an informed decision. We purchased and will be back in the future when we have additional appliance needs.—————————————-December 2020: just went back and purchased a washer/dryer. Steve was exceptional: no pressure selling, he’s extremely knowledgeable and pointed out the Pros/Cons so we could make an informed decision... kudos to Marcella’s (and Steve)
I purchased all kitchen appliances, including washer and dryer, from Marcellas a few months ago. I was going to purchase them from Home Depot, until my neighbor suggested Marcellas. So pleased with the products and the service provided by John Marcella. He definitely stands by his products and his business. The delivery/installation crew was also friendly and , professional. Would not hesitate to return, and recommend them !
Our 14 yr old dishwasher bit the dust. After phone calls to many local big box stores and appliance dealers, we decided to try Marcellas in Schenectady. The best decision we could have made. Our salesman James Raguette was very professional, knowledgeable about the product we were interested in, yet was never pushy for us to make a decision. We purchased on a Monday and installation was done the following day. The service technician, Eric that removed our old dishwasher and installed the new one did an exemplary job. He patiently answered all of our questions and made sure we were pleased with our purchase. We highly recommend Marcellas appliance center and will definitely be a returning customer .
I rarely bother to write reviews, but this was such an easy process, i have to comment. Our fridge died and we had several people coming to visit in a few days. I explained the situation to the salesperson, James, and he was extremely knowledgeable, answered my questions quickly, and was able to expedite getting the model we wanted. And the price was the same as the cheapest price I could find anywhere else. 2 days later the installers showed up at exactly the time they said they would, and installed it quickly and professionally. The whole process was so simple, and its just so refreshing to deal with people who do exactly what they said they would. Thanks!
Jerry and the whole Marcellas team were very helpful in resolving an issue with our GE cafe refrigerator. In the end, Marcellas stepped in to make sure we were left with a good product, and pleasurable experience. I would recommend Marcellas to any friend or family member, and will be back to buy any future appliances from them!
Worked with Steve to get all new kitchen appliances and also wound up getting a new washer and dryer at the same time. Marcellas had the best prices in the area. Two crews came out on a Friday, a delivery crew and installation crew, both did excellent work and all the appliances except the refrigerator were installed quickly and operating correctly. The refrigerator wouldnt fit ( because I failed to account for the door widths into the kitchen ) , so I contacted Steve and he was able to take back the refrigerator and set me up with a different refrigerator that would fit and scheduled the delivery for the following Tuesday. That crew was also very professional and got the refrigerator all set up and working. Marcellas did a great job all around and I would highly recommend them.
I recently purchase appliances for my old home and my new home from Marcellas; six appliances altogether. Half of the appliances are not working properly or at all. I have called customer service and they wont let you speak to a live body. You have to leave a message and if youre lucky they will call you back within a couple days...still waiting. Their customer service is the worst and will never do business with them again.
This is the only place I will ever buy another appliance from ever again! From the moment I was greeted by the great staff and being absolutely impressed with the amazing showroom that you have to see for your own eyes, just made the experience doing business that much better. Its great to go to a business which is still family owned past down generations making it feel like your part of the family. I was fortunate to have John Marcella Jr. as my salesman and he went above and beyond to make me walk away with the best product for the best price. No other appliance store compares and I would highly recommend if your searching for an appliance this is the place to go!
I have nothing but great things to say about Marcellas Appliance. A friend recommended their store to us and I am very happy we decided to go with their recommendation. The new appliances are great and look beautiful in our new kitchen. Their service and promptness has been nothing but the best. Very pleased overall.
After purchasing a Electrolux front door washer and dryer- before a few month i already experienced issues with the dryer not drying my clothes. After that- my washer has not been washing everything and the dryer is not drying my clothes. For the quality and the amount of money payed for both of these i should not be having issues like i am having now. I called Marcellas and it took them two weeks to get back to me and no one was able to talk to me except the secretary. Horrible service. They just care about the money and not you as a customer. They do not look to help you as a customer. Be careful when you purchased from them! really disappointed.
The salesman in Clifton Park was great, but I felt bad about having to call him repeatedly to manage the installation of my rather basic replacement range hood. It took SIX separate rescheduled appointments/visits (sometimes I got a call; sometimes I didnt, once I got a call but they arrived an hour early and I wasnt home, once the team arrived without the hood) before my purchase was finally installed.During the installation the technician lit a burner under a protective blanket causing it to smolder, leaving ash and a nasty odor in the kitchen. (It was an accident and he was nice about it, but maybe we are just getting along so well because hes been here so often he feels like a part of the family.)Were not done yet: a piece was dented and I will have to endure yet ANOTHER visit to correct this. My lost wages due to all these days of missed work far exceed the value of the item I bought. I dont think there is any possible compensation for the level of aggravation I have experienced.I note that any negative reviews posted on this and similar sites are inevitably followed by responses from the company which blame the buyer for whatever went wrong. This says a lot about the lack of value Marcellas has for its customers.
We just moved into our new house last week with all the appliances provided by Marcellas. There had been a few delays due to damaged products which was not a big deal. What has been a big deal is the fact that every one of the five times they have been to the house, jobs are not completed and items are constantly forgotten. Our sales person was on vacation the day we were moving in and needed help with appliances that were not installed correctly. Evidently no one else but the sales person can help you at all if you need anything at Marcellas so we had to wait until he got back in to work. Today was the fifth visit and they still have things to complete because they either forgot the items we ordered or failed to install them. They just installed the washing machine that was delivered last week and my husband came home to find water from their connection dripping all over and our brand new hardwood severely gouged and walls dentend from their installation. He had to rush to fix the connections and realized another mistake as they hadnt even provide the braided cords we ordered and paid for. The garbage disposal was hooked up without adding the power cord along with a number of astonishing blunders. People usually go to a local place because the service is better than the big box stores. In this case we couldnt imagine worse service. We ordered $13,000 worth of applicaces and if werent such a hassle we would return them all and go to Lowes.
I highly recommend Marcellas Appliance to anyone. We have used them for many years. We never had any problems what so ever. It has always been problem free with sales and service from start to end. We have been customers since we built our home 35 years ago. The best place!
I cannot believe the seriously poor service from the salesmen I have received this week!! Never before has this ever happened to me! What is going on over there? They cannot be bothered with you & they certainly dont want to sell you anything. I asked 3 different salesmen 3 different days & still had to deal one of the owners who said good thing I purchased at Lowes...can you believe that?! I was a repeat customer but youd never know by how I was treated. All the horseplay going on there & right behind John Jr, as he sits at his desk at the front door either oblivious or just not caring idk. I never ever had a problem with any of my previous purchases there. Always taken care of. Not anymore! Well Lowes I guess Im gonna give you a try for my kitchen makeover.
Bought a new refrigerator from them. Delivery was fast and expertly done. These days of unsatisfied customers complaining about everything... I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with every aspect of this purchasing experience. Best price you can find... Not going anywhere else but here for my appliance needs.
Im very disappointed with the sales representative who refused to help me, (strawberry blond kind of red hair guy).I walked in to the store with my handicap sister looking to buy her a washer and dryer gift. The representative was rude and short in tone, we turned around walked out and spent $1000.00 at home depot, so much for trying to support small businesses. The sales representative acted as if he was the owner and didnt need or want our business
So happy we went with Marcella’s! Especially during the weird uncertain times, they made it so easy to find exactly what we wanted. Payment was taken right over the phone and was quickly shipped to our house. The man who brought it was very cartful had his mask on and professional. Thank you for everything Marcella fam. Been waiting 11 days for delivery. Was to be between 11:30 -2:30 with call first. Showed up a 4 with no call. Refrigerator had baseball size dent in door. Was asked do you want to accept . Now I need to wait 5 days for another delivery, maybe. If they couldnt get this on right?!? Call to sales rep unanswered. I gave 2 stars to allow room for a down grade if they dont provide a product on time and compensate me for my trouble. Drivers attitude was like he could careless & I was wasting his time.UPDATE: It was to be delivered today, Had to call for time & was told it wont be until tomorrow. Now they say I was never told Monday. What LIARS!
I remodeled my whole kitchen including cabinetry. I decided to get new appliances I bought a new refrigerator stove dishwasher microwave, and new washer and dryer. Marcella appliance stands behind their products that they sell and Sometimes things go wrong they deliver a product that has defects unbeknownst to them, but Marcella’s makes a wrong a right so don’t expect everything to go right every time that’s a impossibility. So if you have a delivery and something goes wrong you can trust Marcella’s to make it right.
I purchased my GE Monogram stove and hood from Marcellas and was very satisfied with their sales dept, service and knowledge.John M. was particularly helpful when it came to choosing the design of hood and other products. I had shopped around locally and the other stores didnt take the time or interest in helping me as compared to Marcellas.
Once we purchased 2 appliances and left the showroom: CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!We set up a delivery date one week from the purchase date and they called us to confirm the day before. We removed our old stove to prepare for the new one. As instructed, we called the store the morning of expected delivery to confirm the window of time. We were told they would have to call the driver and would get back to us. When they called back we were told that the stove we purchased had not been changed to black as wed ordered nor was the conversion kit to hook up to LP available! But they would call the warehouse manager to find out what was going on. An hour later, we got a call back to inform us that the stove would not be delivered as promised but would be delivered tomorrow....for sure.Next day...we had to again call the store to get our window of time for delivery and AGAIN we were told well have to call the driver and get back to you. 2 hours later we AGAIN called the store, asked to speak to a manager and were told that there was no manager working there on Saturdays! REALLY? So my call was forwarded back to our salesman...who was busy with customers ! Apparently once you leave the store you are no longer a customer worthy of service. I had to leave a voice mail message asking for a call back and to get an update on our delivery status. HE NEVER CALLED US BACK! We waited ALL DAY for our stove THAT NEVER ARRIVED!! Our final call to the store was to cancel our order and promise to never do business with them again!
My Dishwasher broke on Monday and I have spent the last week shopping for a new one. I did not want to go to expensive and went to a few different stores. Before taking my dads advice to go see Mike Manno at Marcellas. My dad just redid his kitchen and bought all his appliances from Mike.I checked them out on line and saw all their high end stuff and thought it would be out of my budget. I stopped with my dad this morning and Mike showed me around. He was very knowledgeable and recommend a floor model Maytag. He gave me a great price will withing my budget.If you are looking for a no hassle shopping experience with a knowledgeable and friendly staff go to Marcellas! As for Mike Manno.
Bad things happen to good people. We bought many appliances washer,dryer, microwave, dishwasher, free standing refrigerator,free standing freezer , separate under the counter refrigerator, gourmet stove and exhaust fan. They worked with our builder and it all fit. Phew! As you might imagine, that left room for some problems. Marcellas went out of their way to make us satisfied customers. They dont build the appliances, but they stand behind everything they sell. It doesnt get better than that. When I remodel my brand new house, I ll be back👍🏻
Bought a $4000+ Miele dryer a couple of months ago, got it delivered and installed. So far so good until recently I discover the delayed start option is grayed out and needs activation at installation (when you setup your dryer). The manual says a technician can reactivate the setup menu and so my wife calls Marcella to get this done.First they had no idea what were talking and promised to call back. They do so, 4 hours later, to tell us we dont have such a menu and that this is simply not possible (although we clearly explained its in the manual). We are asked to call Miele ourselves to ask them if such a menu exists on our dryer. After we call Miele we should get back to her and she can send us a technician for $140. Not sure how the technician would help if they dont even know there is such an option on my dryer.A $4 grand machine and we have to call Miele ourselves to confirm the user manual is right and after that pay $140 to do I dont know what...go figure.Anyway, we call Miele and the guy on the phone is simply chocked by the fact we would be charged for something Marcella should have activated at installation.The awesome Miele representative then simply sent us an email with instruction on how to reset the dryer and activate the delayed start ourselves. Problem fixed, next time I will call Miele directly and buy my appliances cheaper elsewhere.
Purchase experience was good. But not having similar expereince with service. If given the opportunity I would not buy service warranty from them. They have very limited staff and the same staff is to service all kinds of product and from all different company. They do not service on saturday (Which other service provide do). They would always have 2 visits model, where first one to just diagnose and next one to repaire. I had many services done in past from various vendor and most the cases technician came with few generic part and diagnose and fixed was done in single visit.
Very helpful. Went in looking for,a,microwave to match the rest of the appliances.,after a quick search they had all the information on the appliances that were previously purchased on the address. They carry several different major name brands and offer service on almost everything they offer. Simply order , delivery and setup all,at the same time
The Kitchenaid I bought was not getting my dishes clean. In frustration I called and asked for advice.The products I was advised to use faded the pattern on my dishwasher safe Royal Worcester dishes! Im heartbroken and have ruined over $2,000 in beautiful dishes.They may know appliances but little else.
I found the selection to be almost overwhelming. Luckily, John listened to what I was saying ( a quality not often found in sales people) and helped me get the choice down to what I really wanted. There was no pressure to go high end and John was very knowledgeable about any product yhey carried. Prices were fair and everyone easy to work with.
I cannot express in words how bad our experience was with Marcella. Out of SIX appliances installed in our new kitchen, only ONE was properly installed and functional. It took THREE attempts to get a working refrigerator. The oven that was installed was not properly vented and had to be retrofitted (work that we ultimately had performed by a competent supplier). It took nearly ONE YEAR to get a working trash compactor. Overall, I cannot imagine why anybody would patronize this business.
Bought a new gas stove, one of the grates has a missing rubber pad.Marcellas sent out a replacement but it was the wrong color grate.Then they sent another but forgot to check the box and it was also missing a rubber pad.Then they told me to gorilla glue one of the loose pads to it.The gorilla glue didn’t hold and now I have a new stove with a rocking grate because they can’t seem to deliver a proper NEW item.

Marcella & Sons for taking over $75,000 of my hard earned money a few years ago when I renovated my kitchen and bought, what I thought was top of line appliances and now refusing to come out to fix my $6,500 Thermador range which has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. Your repair man, Mike, put us on the do not service list because he called it infested. He said he found some evidence that mice had gotten in but I wonder if he was being truthful. It was his way of getting out of doing the job, which by the way took you over 6 months to get to us, even though I said it was an emergency because the igniter on the stove would not stop sparking. And then he refused to fix it. Was it because he didnt know how? I just wanted to share my store with all your Facebook friends and let them know what they will deal with when it comes time to have a repair done. Go to Home Depot they would do a better job!
Perhaps one of the ONLY places left on the planet with excellent customer service. Purchased washer, dryer & refrigerator 17 yrs ago which was installed by Mr. Marcellas son. Mr. Marcella called me directly about 1 week later to ask how everything was & told me he was using the same washer/dryer & we had a small chat about it which I always remembered. Fast forward to last night: frige was making a squeeling noise & became increasingly hot to the touch which was after hours & I unplugged. today tried it had a very unpleasant burning smell, henceforth unplugged again. Call made to Marcellas for advice. Sherry responded promptly, looked up the parts which actually still are in stock to my surprise & a technician to my home between 4-6pm today plus quoted VERY REASONABLE prices for parts/labor. THRILLED to be able to repair this today! Ill ALWAYS be a customer &refer others to this FAMILY RUN local business. THANK YOU Marcellas for your existence. Respectfully always
Called for service on my refrigerator, I reported there is water leaking out of the freezer side of my side-by-side whirlpoolService man showed up before I got there he in my house sitter let him inHe looked at my refrigerator and reported he did not hear any loud noises coming from it so my housesitter wrote him $128 check and he left, I was 30 seconds away from the house and I called to request that he speak to me as he was misinformed and it had nothing to do with a noise, Which is what they had written down on his work order,I never had a noise coming from my refrigerator I called because of the leakSo I paid $128 for the expert to tell me there was no noise coming from my refrigerator, but I still have the leak and they want another $128 to come backThey are a good company I’ve been working with them for years, but I guess I’m just venting right now and I don’t think what happened is right
The service is excellent at Marcellas!I have been a repeat customer since 2005. The sales team knows the products thoroughly, the store is clean and spacious and the sales dept.are not pushy in their approach. Many items are in stock, making appliance delivery swift.In a world of poor service, Marcellas is an oasis!

2022-01-06We are extremely happy with Marcella’s sales and service. We needed to replace our dishwasher that gave out the week before Christmas. Rafael presented all the best options considering price, performance and availability. Our new dishwasher was installed by Tony today…quickly, neatly and professionally. The time window for the install was completely accurate so no need to kill a whole day waiting around (like for some cable companies that shall remain nameless) Thank you again Marcellas!

2022-02-01Wonderful company from sales, delivery and service. The customer is a valuable part of their business and they make you feel this in all your communications with them. Ive been a customer for all my appliances for ~30 years and continue to be and refer neighbors and friends to use them too!Has the service technician Wayne do the service call. A real pro with explanation of why , what and how to amend moving forward. Another 5 star experience w Marcellas!

2022-02-10Thinking about upgrading our kitchen, Id been on the phone with several appliance stores trying to understand the lay of the land of working with a servicing dealer. Hitting the wall with a few other stores for their lack of professionalism, I dialed the next one on the list, Marcellas Clifton Park store.Ryan Caruso answered the phone and, from the first, was courteous and informative. He had a low-key, steady manner as he steered me through the maze of choices - I was trying to find reliable appliances without bells and whistles. He educated me about the reality of appliance availability during the pandemic. He called me back promptly if I called with more questions ... and I had a lot of questions. I took my time, reading reams of reviews on each appliance and kept changing my mind. Ryan was patient, Ryan was helpful. Ryan never got an attitude even though he didnt take my credit card until deep into the process. I think I have a good radar for people who fudge the truth or out and out lie and it never felt triggered when talking to Ryan.When all but one appliance had been delivered (that one had switched its delivery date from November to February) and suddenly wasnt showing up til ... July) I asked Ryan what he thought of my chances of calling around to see if anyone else could get it sooner. He encouraged me, giving plausible reasons why I might find one: Maybe somebody got a two for one deal and couldnt unload the second. Id never heard of this possibility. And he had a few other insider ideas about why I might find one in this availability desert. He cheered me on to give it a shot. On my third call, I scored an almost identical 18 dishwasher of the same brand which could be delivered tomorrow. When I called to thank Ryan for his encouragement, he sounded more excited and genuinely happy than Id ever heard him. (In my experience, hes generally very low key.)But theres even more of a positive report about our experience with Marcellas. Andrew, in charge of the delivery arrangements, was not only courteous but bent over backwards to make sure that everything went smoothly. Tom the delivery person as well as the team who swapped the door on the fridge were courteous, friendly, efficient and expert at their jobs - everything I could hope for in the way of professionalism.We have exactly the appliances we wanted and theyre gorgeous, but above and beyond that, working with this team at Marcellas felt like the experience of a bygone age when hard work, integrity and a recognition of our shared humanity were what mattered. Were very satisfied customers.

2022-06-24Ive recently had to replace two appliances-a dishwasher and then a few weeks later a refrigerator, both purchased at big box stores. I couldnt even find someone to help me at the BigBox stores, then I was told by several appliance stores that it would be months before they could get me anything even close to the model I wanted. Marcellas found what I wanted and arranged for delivery within a few days. Every single person Ive dealt with at Marcellas has been competent, responsive, sensitive to the urgency of the situations. I needed some follow up support; they responded and had the issue resolved within minutes. I wish I had discovered Marcellas about 5 appliances ago. I wont go anywhere else. Trust Marcellas Appliances to have high quality, available inventory AND superb customer service.

2022-01-07Tony installed our new microwave and dishwasher this morning. He was incredibly efficient, respectful and hard working. He even rerouted our dishwasher hose to prevent mold back up in the future. I was extremely impressed with his customer service, especially in a day and age where it’s often overlooked. I called the store to let the manager know as well. It’s the little things that matter. I will be buying my future appliances from Marcella’s .

2022-04-15We ordered in January two large appliances, a refrigerator and range/stove and we hear nothing from them, three months later. Very hard to speak nicely about Marcellas business and customer service. Fed up with the wait for sure but more frustrated with the poor customer service. Call your customers to assure them you have not forgotten them.

2022-05-17Highly recommend this store. Sales rep was very friendly and patient and didnt push me to buy something I couldnt afford. Delivery was top notch and costs far less than the competition. Will go back there again if the need arises.

2022-06-03Worst customer service ever! What do you call it when somebody says something will be there and it isn’t? It’s either a broken promise or a lie. choose one. Well Rafael did that to us. We went in and ordered an air conditioner specifically because he said “it will be here on Friday, come after 1 to give the guys time to unload the truck”. Well we came in at 1:30, he was on lunch and no one could find our air conditioner. Asking us where it should be. Hahaha shouldn’t you know?! By 2:10 Rafael came out and said someone forgot to put it on the truck. It will be here on Monday. But in the most uncaring way! My husband told him what he said about it here on Friday and his response. “ No I didn’t say that”. LIE right there. The whole 45 mins standing there only one nice lady asked if we needed help. Everyone else was more concerned about going out to have a smoke. Needless to say we brought our service elsewhere. Someplace that actually cares.

2022-04-25We have purchased in the past First time at the new place on Broadway Karen was very pleasant we are going to purchase a washer and dryer She showed us all prices for delivery and pickup Very stress free environment ok but after the sale I received a damaged dryer on Saturday the delivery guys were great told me since we were close to the warehouse any had many it would be sent on Monday no response so I called Monday afternoon I was told Wednesday We had to hire a vent guy to accommodate the new dryer on Saturday he left the vent hanging saying the drivers should be able to hook it up I hope so dont want to call him back

2022-06-23Awesome customer service.. My salesman Steve DeAmelia was professional and navigated me thru all my options. Great products and pricing. Much better alternative to the box stores. Highly recommended.
