Very nice there. They give you free lunch. The water is clean and not too deep. There are beach chairs so you dont have to bring your own. There is also a park and sprinkler for the little kids
Great place. It had a few downs like the locker and bathrooms needs to be clean more often, but the pool is crystal clean and the lifeguards there are very attentive
The life guards were mean but the other staff was really nice and it was a pretty empty today! Which is good especially because of the cronavirus and social distancing!
Clean pool, polite staff. However I’m taking off one star since you are not allowed to bring your cellphone on the deck. It is useful for emergencies and photos 😒.
I love this pool, its my home away from home, but they need to update their website here on Google for its state the pool is open today, which it is not, it opens last week of June 2016 after school closes. Other than this its the best pool in Harlem, clean, great staff and big.
Pool and staff are great. However the bathroom and locker facilities have been in a horrid state for years. Maybe the changing face of Harlem will lead to an improvement to these facilities.
This pool opened today and it was great. Cool makeover , staffer nice and everyone was 6ft apart

I enjoy it almost everyday I just like the way they are with the children they feed them and thats the nicest thing to do.

2021-07-23Although this pool is humungus its really not for children and families as much as it is for laps. If you want to practice your strokes and time your skills this is the pool to attend. Huge locker room showers are warm and they have soap in bathroom and shower areas. 😟No mirror anywhere in bathroom nor locker room.

2020-08-07Had a great afternoon at the pool, went between 5-6.30 and it was lively with kids playing but not over crowded at all. The staff is super friendly and pool was clean. Highly recommend if you’re in Harlem!

2019-07-28Our family of 4 went to Marcus Garvey pool on Saturday in July and it was great. Its a NYC Parks pool, they follow standard dress code for swimmers. The staff was nice, the locker rooms clean enough, and the pool very clean. Theres a large bleacher area that gets some shade too.

2020-09-07One of the best pools in Manhattan. Its a pleasure dealing with nyc parks staff security Nicola Griffin. She makes such a difference. Very proffessional, polite and smiles at everyone. We need more like her at our parks. Going back today.

2017-07-03The pool experience was fine. It was no different than any other pool in NYC. The water was clean and the lifeguards were always on full alert.I had 2 issues with this place:1. How disgusting the bathrooms, shower and locker room was. Some of the stalls in the bathroom didnt even have doors, which made it very uncomfortable to change clothes or do your business.2. The pool didnt have enough seats to put your belongings on. We had to put our stuff on steps that werent even clean.Overall, I wouldnt recommend this swimming pool just for the simple reasons that I stated. If you dont care or mind the personal reasons that I stated then feel free to go and have fun.

2019-07-23Took my baby here last year and he had a blast, this year he can walk and last year I ask about life vest. I purchased the type of vest that was shown to me and now I go and they say its the wrong vest, THEN tell me that the type of vest allowed in goes based on the LIFEGUARD thats on duty. What does the life vest have to do with the lifeguard, and why does it matter what lifeguard is on duty, a life vest should be allowed bno matter who is on duty or not, then the minute my son and I got out if the water we had the worse allergic reaction that dud not happen the year before. Hives all over neck face and back, very unsure what did that

2018-07-22I am still shocked that this pool was so empty! It is huge, beautiful and surrounded by a really wonderful part of Central Park. We live in Brooklyn and frequent the even bigger McCarren pool, but we may start coming here instead. It is much more relaxing.
