Very friendly and nice warm place. Except--- NO ALLERGY Menu. Disappointed. When restaurants dont know about food allergies, makes it difficult for those with food allergies to eat out.
First time at Maries today for breakfast. Excellent atmosphere, superb service, delicious food, small town vibe and clean. Cant wait to come back and try the pancakes.Thank you, Marie!!
Maries is excellent! We actually drive from our town to Alden just to eat there. we ate there one weekend about two months ago and never stopped. So every weekend we go for breakfast. My kids expect to go and get very excited. Staff is very friendly, the food is just what you want when you come in for breakfast..anything you can think of its there. You want an omelet, maybe just some eggs, or your feeling a little civilized eggs benedict, you most certainly can! We get the biscuits and gravy, that actually has large chunks of real sausage patty and they make homemade corned beef hash its the best I have ever had. Its made with actually chunks of corn beef and super crispy hash browns and onions. Yum!!! We have not tried everything on the menu but I hope to make it a goal. We have never been disappointed.The decor is fun for kids and the have wifi, big plus. We just like it cause between food, atmosphere, price and service it fits the bill for our family mornings!
Small but cozy dining area. Varied menu with some unique combos. Food of high quality.There was grits on the menu- dont see that every day. Would go there again.

I have not had liver and onions for years because I was disappointed too often . Maries liver and onions was tender and tasty and a nice portion !
The breakfast menu is awesome. Its the type of menu you wish you saw at all the local chains. Theres an option for literally everything you could possibly want at reasonable prices! They offer great portions, too. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and efficient!
Drove from Buffalo for breakfast to check this place out. Ordered the Velveeta omelet, which was sooo yummy. My husband loved his Greek omelette, as well. Waitress was super nice!

Maries is a gem in the middle of Alden. Friendly staff and Excellent service. Food was delicious. Breakfast served all day and they have grits! Yum. You wont be disappointed. (Cash only with ATM).

Went in here with some classmates and we had a wonderful time met up with some old friends and have a few laughs and memories that we shared.I had the reuben sandwich which was out-of-this-world world it was absolutely delicious one of the friends had a taco which she felt was very good.The service was excellent the waitress was pleasant her name was Debbie she gave us excellent service and we shared some good conversation with her
Great food and a great, hardworking, friendly staff. Place was packed for Fathers day morning and not only brought the food out fast but also correct. Id tell you to try it out but I want to keep it for myself. Lol

Best diner around. Staff is awesome. Breakfast is amazing especially Sausage Skillet. All the breakfast fixings in a crockpot. They have specials all the time. Polish specials are the bomb.
Food was ok. Service sucked. Walked in and sat down, 3 tables sat down after us, they all ordered and had food before we even ordered. Never got refills on cofee. Food was very greasy, everything tasted like bacon, must have used the bacon grease to cook the eggs in.
Really good breakfast at a reasonable price. Ham and broccoli hash with eggs was excellent. Sausage gravy and biscuits also very good. Friendly staff. Nice place.
French fries felt like a salt shaker had been dumped on them. I asked for no onion on my burger. There were onions. When I asked for a doggie bag, the waitress forgot and started reading the newspaper.

2021-07-11Super cute family run diner right in the heart of Alden. Betty Boop themed decor. Wide variety of menu options with unique specials on Thursdays. Open Monday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On Sundays they are open 7:00 a.m. until noon.The food was really good quality and portion size, with invividualized packets for condiments (butter, syrup etc.). Everything tasted home made. The french toast was thick and filling. The home fries were a highlight too. Cups of coffee never bottom out, as they frequently top off those who want more.Its hard to find any negatives. Grasping at straws, I wish there was ice on the water and was also unaware they do not accept credit cards. Fortunately we had cash. I believe they have and atm in there, or there is one in close proximity if you needed. I noticed a sign in the window on the way out.It was our first time there and they treat you like youre part of the family. Will be going back again for sure! Check it out, you wont be disappointed.

2019-08-15Stumble upon this little gem when we visited buffalo. The decor is amazing, looks like its straight out of the movies. Prices are fantastic as well, the food was great, it gives off a sort of home cooked style, which was sweet. The service was amazing, the staff there was super friendly to us and I noticed that they were very friendly to all the other tables as well. Highly recommend if youre looking for a good brunch place!

2022-04-09Listen to this one, my wife and I try this place based off the Google reviews. First thing we were subjected too was the owner/waitress screaming her trip itinerary throughout out this diner. Secondly a lady in the kitchen, smoker coughs in her hand ( gross ). Last but not least was the teenager who proceeded to commiserate with the other girls there, huddled together with hair everywhere not taking care of customers. We got up and left, paying for oj we didnt drink.

2021-11-22Oh MY GOODNESS you have to try this place. The homemade soup is excellent. We all had the steak mushroom and 1/2 sandwich BLT. It was a perfect lunch. I also got a homemade cannoli. EXCELLENT! THE SERVICE IS ALSO VERY GOOD! We will be back again and again.
