My mother spent over $1000 at the store and Maria is usually very accommodating. However, yesterday my mom and I went to exchange a dress for a different color and Marina yelled and screamed it was embarrassing. All we wanted was to change her dress from white to a different color because it’s a bridal event and she feels uncomfortable wearing white if she is not the bride. We even brought my aunt to look at dresses, but after witnessing such behavior she did not want to even look. We always want to support a local a business and this was an unfortunate experience. We tried to be nice and all we wanted was to exchange it. If Marina would have been a little more understanding this would have been a very different review. Despite the good quality clothing, we will no longer be coming here.
I went for a dress beginning of April for my son First Communion and I could not be more happy the ways this lady’s treat me. Have the time to listen what I’m looking for and has the eye for what color looks great on me. I absolutely love this place. I’ll recommend. And yes is pricing but I was more than happy for my dress and the attention, that the price was worth at the end! 😊😊😊
I have been going to marina clothing for more than ten years back than we she had men’s cloths. My mom and sister shop with Anna who is marinas daughter. Always so family oriented and sweet and never pushy great prices and reasonable most of all with taste and knows what her clients are looking for!
My grandmother chanced upon Marinas Clothing and was drawn by a stunning gown that happened to be the color of my brothers upcoming wedding. She was across coney island and decided to explore further! LUCKY for us she did because not only did she find a beautiful gown we found THREE gorgeous gowns!! Marina and her daughter are exceptional to work with they have an eye and a listening ear to what ones vision is and they truly make dreams come true! Will definitely be considering Marinas for all of my future occasions!!
This was my first stop on my hunt for a maid of honor dress. What I loved about this place is that I didn’t feel rushed, the workers weren’t overbearing, and they gave me just the right amount of attention without feeling forced to buy anything. Valentina and Anna were incredibly helpful, extremely honest and personable. I truly recommend this store to anyone looking to buy gorgeous dresses!
My Girlfriend and I were very pleased with our experience over at Marina Clothing. The owner and her pleasant mother guided us for over three hours trying on about 20 dresses. They never once tried to rush us out of the store. They never once forced us to stop trying on new dresses and just buy anyone because of time constraints. Marina clothing doesnt care about nothing else but top notch customer service. They will spend hours on end trying to help you find a beautiful dress. By the way their prices are very reasonable, material is top notch from Italy and various other exotic European vendors around the world! Top notch store highly recommended. My girlfriend looks stunning for her uncles wedding. Much love. We will be coming back

Store has good quality clothing, but it is overpriced, and their policy was no refund or exchange. When I tried in the store in looks good on me, but when I came home it did not look on me, but I already bought and cannot wear it. All money that I paid was for nothing. Because of their policy, store owner and her assistants should not push customers to buy. Customers should be more careful.
Marina has absolutely no people skills. She’s rude and disgusting from the moment you walk in. She tells people that they have no respect, but she doesn’t even look at the way she speaks and acts towards customers. She is loud and screams at customers who are trying to make a purchase. I dont know how she has been in business for 40 years. She needs to get some lessons on people skills. I have never experienced something like this. Also, i found the same dresses online and cheaper than her prices. Look online ladies before shopping from her. No class at all. I will never go back.
I’m a real customer. A plus size woman who was so excited about dress shopping in New York. Until no one carried my size. I found a beautiful dress at Marina’s. They were very nice and incredibly helpful. I would recommend to any plus size woman looking for evening wear.
Never wrote reviews before, but If I could give this business 0 stars I would. I came to this store with my aunt in search of a dress for my upcoming birthday celebration. As I walked through the door excited and ready to shop, I was simply ignored by the two women working there. We were the only customers in the store so at least were expected some help. When I picked out some dresses to try on, they acted as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to even be there, let alone try on any of the dresses. Anyway, the styles are very hard to choose as most of the dresses re huge in sizes and grandma styles. And what a strange smell inside this store? Ewwww Will not recommended to shop there.
The store is always immaculate and the owner is very nice. The dresses are gorgeous and Ive been back several times. I also referred my 2 friends to go there and they were very pleased
The first time my family & I visited this establishment was in 2014 when my mother was looking for a birthday dress. My mother is a full figured woman and often times style and quality are compromised when shopping for her. However, the quality of the gowns presented and the variety of options available instantly let us know this store would be a good fit. Anna was so patient, honest and accomodating that we knew we needed to return for a mother of the bride outfit this year. As usual, we received such great customer service and my mom went home with a stunning gown and matching accessories. I would definately recommend anyone looking for a dress of stellar quality to check this store out.

I went shopping for a dress with my mom this hot sunday, After going to several stores in the extreme heat in Brooklyn. We came to Marina Clothing, as soon,as we walked thru the door we were greated and were offered cold water and refreshments the selection of clothes and dresses were unreal we had not seen that anywhere in Brooklyn my mother tried on several dresses all looked amazing on her. We walked out with a dress purchaced in less than 45 minutes. Amazing people love the service and we will,definitely recommend this store to,all our friends and family thanks again Marina Clothing
We got our daughter’s prom dress there, and we were basically scammed. The pushy, aggressive sales lady insisted they only sell the highest quality dresses. The dress they insisted my daughter get was $500. The sequins began falling off from day one. At the time, I wasn’t familiar with the brands and couture. Upon getting the dress appraised, I found out it’s a no name brand and only worth about $200. The ladies there are not nice. The older lady seems cold and mean. An overall bad experience.
I went today to buy a dress for a video and photo shoot I’m having for my sweet 16. The staff was very nice and helpful. They make sure you are happy and satisfied. I’m happy to say that I bought 2 beautiful dresses from them and this is where I will be coming back to shop for my dresses from now on 🤗🤗

Can not recommend this store enough! The women are so helpful and unbelievably nice! Best place in Brooklyn to find a dress for any occasion! I found two dresses back to back for two weddings. Prices are better than any other place I’ve been!
If i could give ZERO stars i would! i bought a dress online that didn’t make it on time even with expedited shipping so i went in today in search for a last minute dress. i had to greet the ladies who were seated and they did not seem welcoming to me what so ever. i told the lady i was in search for a dress for a ball and that i had ordered a dress but did not come in time. i said i would like something similar to the dress i ordered online and showed her a picture. she had the nerve to ask how much did i pay for the dress. i answered saying $200 which she replied “we only sell dresses here $500 and up” i said ok well i mean what do you have then that maybe is close to something like this. she answered “nothing” and basically didn’t show me not one dress. when i answered “ really nothing ?“ she answered “absolutely “. she looked so serious and did not even at least apologize or say “well i have nothing similar , but here are a few that would be nice on you .” i was willing to drop $500-$700. she treated me as if i was beneath her and didn’t have the money. maybe it was because i’m hispanic or maybe it was because i was dressed very casual and inexpensive . i mean i just worked 9 hrs and been searching for a store right afterwards. never judge a book by its cover. i was getting a dress for a military ball. i also work for the city of new york. i was completely disgusted and felt so unwelcomed. their store looked sloppy too like it would be a hassle to even go through the dress rack.

Went to mcdonald location - the woman was horribly rude. Didnt want to help me, and insulted my choice of designer dont carry that crap. She also didnt want to help me because my mother wasnt present- like lady im 27 I can shop on my own. Walked in there and was yelled at by one of the Russian ladies she reeked of canned tuna and told me that no men are allowed only woman can go into the dressing room I suffer from epileptic seizures and I had one right there on the floor and they did nothing to help me,. 2022-05-07Came in to marina clothing just to browse with my wife. We were just looking because we had a wedding to go to in 6 months . Marina approached us asking if she can help us. We told her we were just looking but she was so kind started showing us gorgeous dresses . We looked and liked so many I talked my wife into trying a few on to get an idea . 40 minutes later we leave with 2 dresses a few undergarments & lively costume jewelry set . Highly advise to come to this store. Service is amazing . Marina goes above & beyond to show you all the best dresses . I will definitely return with the mothers mine & my in law . If I could give 10 stars I would .

2022-04-18I came here looking for a prom dress. The sales associates immediately made me feel terrible about my size and budget. I wasn’t even allowed to go take a look after my mom said she’s willing to go over budget. Kept pointing out that my size is obviously more expensive. I literally left in tears not even five minutes after entering. It took me so long to go dress shopping because of my body image issues, and just when I gained the smallest bit of confidence these stuck up women have to make it go away instantly.

2022-04-01I arrived at marinas clothing with a somber mood . I traveled all over ny nj & everywhere in between . I must say that I have never witnessed such a tremendous inventory in my life. All the stores I visited didn’t have such a selection if you put them all together . I bought a dress for my daughters wedding . I also purchased a cocktail dress for the shower & a sexy lil black dress for her bachelorette party . Honestly this store is amazing . Clean beautiful & the help is outstanding . These ladies really know their stuff. The first dress they gave me was a winner .thank you for turning my frown upside down . This store deserves 100 stars .

2021-10-03My business partner & I flew into nyc for an event in the plaza hotel . We both had gowns but we were not in love with them . I googled evening wear near me, when I was in bklyn the next days at a meeting . Marina clothing appeared. After my meeting I decided to give it a go and see if there is a gown for my partner & I . We really were not feeling the gowns we brought with us. We walk in to this very pretty boutique which was well decorated super clean , with an outstanding smell . We were greeted by a very pleasant European woman. Afterwords we found out she was the proprietor. If I tell you how pleasantly surprised we were to love every dress she showed us. We tried on 2 dresses each and both purchased one gown each . This was quick no headache , one & done. I made this review because honestly I have never had anyone fit me for a gown in 10 min with out a lot of stress. And I’m not an easy customer . This store is hands down the best & puts any dept store to shame. Thank you Marina . Anytime I’m in ny I will definitely stop in. This place is 5 star in every way .
