Dr Montella and his staff are always wonderful about responding to question, and show a lot of care and compassion for my dogs. I like that dr Montella is straight forward. While I’ve never had anything more than routine vet care here, I don’t think he would recommend unnecessary procedures or treatments in pursuit of the best care possible. Always easy to reach by phone and I appreciate that someone from the office calls the day after every visit to check to see how the animal is doing.
I have been going to Marine Park Vet with all my animals for many years. I always get the best care for them and when its time to say goodbye to my pet Dr. Montella and the staff are very caring. I trust Dr. Montella with his care and treatment plans for all of my animals in the past and future.
Marine Park Veterinary is always professional and helpful. They took excellent care of our beloved cat Lucy Taylor and were sensitive to our needs when she was sick. When we add a new member to the family we will use their service again.
They have been my go to place for the last 14 years. They took wonderful care of our 14 year old Pal, who recently passed. Now they are taking care of Charlie. Highly recommend them.
As a first time parent of two dogs - vet visits are a must for annual shots and unexpected illnesses. Marine Park Veterinary Group has been wonderful! The assistants are very friendly and I love that I get a follow up call after treatment to see how my dogs are doing! The Doc is amazing - very friendly, great personality and caring. Shadow and Rocco will be patients for a long time to come!
Dr. Montella and the entire staff are excellent! They care about us, the humans, and our pets. The level of care and expertise is evident. The follow-up calls and messages are even more proof of their care and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet and wants excellent care.
This was our first time at this vet, my new puppy and I. The woman at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. After we signed it, we probably waited less than 5 minutes to see the doctor. The room we went into was very clean and the nurse was also nice. I have seen reviews that the vet could go either way ( sometimes he’s nice or very rude). When he came in I told him hello and he didn’t respond but petted my puppy and told her hello. Following that, he was very informative and my puppy was comfortable with him. Aside from the hello ( or lack there of), it was a good visit and we’ll be back in 2 weeks for a follow up!
I trust this veterinarian because of the service I received for my puppy after her surgery. They followed up with a phone call and also when they gave her vaccine . I received a followed up call to see how she was responding to her vaccine. The staff is polite over The phone and they try to accommodate you with an appointment. Finding parking is difficult but in walking distance of two blocks you can find a spot
Love Marine Park Vet Group!Dr.Montella is great— it’s not just a job, he LOVES animals. Brought my chocolate lab, Josie, to him for 12 1/2 years, and he gave her excellent care, to the very end.😞. A year later now, and ready to start over. 😊. My new yellow boy, Rowdy, is a new client. I wouldn’t use any vet other than Dr.Montella! Friendly, caring and professional. The staff and vets here are amazing. They make my babies (and myself) very comfortable when we are there. They are very understanding that one of my dogs is so scared of the vet and work with you the best that they can. They are always friendly and do their best to accommodate you in anyway they can as well as make sure that your animals get the best care!I come from Queens because of how great they are!I would highly recommend them!
Dr. Amy, Dr. Montella, and the staff of Marine Park Vet Group are the absolute best. Their knowledge and expertise are second to none. They literally saved my dogs life when he came out of the shelter with pneumonia, worms, and blood in his urine. They also provided amazing care to my cat, who was able to live over seventeen years with their help and treatment. Above all, the doctors and staff are professional, welcoming, and genuinely care about their patients. I highly recommend them to all. It is a true blessing to have them in the neighborhood!
I have been here multiple times with a few of my pets. They are courteous and prompt. I have only had positive experiences with the vets and staff. They have always been helpful in taking care of my pets needs and were very empathetic when we had to put our dog and cat (both seniors) down last year. Ive been elsewhere and appreciate the level of care they show here
Dr. Montella and his staff are fantastic! They are caring, I always feel like they have my dogs best interest at heart, and I am never afraid that they will pressure me to run unnecessary tests or add expenses. Dr. Montella always explains things to me in a way that I can easily understand so Im not left guessing or googling medical terms after I leave. They frequently are able to get me in on the same day if I call about a problem, and they have great hours for my schedule. My dog is always comfortable and happy with them, which is always a win!
I have been going to Dr. Montella for more than 6 years, since we adopted our first dog Allie. We now have 2 dogs and still use him. He is a good diagnostician. He has a great manner with my dogs and with us. Dr. Amy is also great. I would use either one. The staff is wonderful too. They all are caring and loving. I like that if there is an emergency they always fit you in.
I was recently referred to Dr. Montella by a partnering veterinarian for a major life threatening surgery for my dog! They immediately took my dogs case and were in the OR within the hour to save her life! They were honest on all possible outcomes of such a surgery! Two hours later I received a call that my dog was out of surgery and doing well! The follow up care has been impeccable with calls every day to see how she is doing! I HIGHLY recommend this vet group!
My dog was bit by a pit bull a few days ago and I didn’t realize the extent until two days later when the puncture wounds surfaced. I called and made a same-day appointment with Marine Park Veterinary Group. Everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I didn’t wait long for him to be seen, the vet calmly explained the procedure, the vet techs were attentive and helpful, and the price was reasonable. I’m glad I went there and I’d recommend.

The very best veterinarian you could ever ask for. Im new to being a puppy parent and want the best for my puppy. They answered every question I had to the best of their knowledge, gave me pamphlets on how to care for her, and followed up on my puppy like she was apart of the family. We brought our puppy to Marine Park Veterinary Group for her first visit last week. We were extremely happy with the kindness and care of the entire staff. We even received two phone calls to check on her after receiving her vaccinations. It is more than evident that the staff takes great pride and care in the service that they provide for our furry friends. :)
The staff was very friendly and Dr. Beverly were very attentive to my cats needs. Dr. Beverly took the time to explain everything that was going with my cat. He gave me all the treatment options and explained what he thought was best but never pressured me into making a decision I wasnt comfortable with. Great pet care. Definitely recommend this practice to others.
Highly recommend these guys. I am constantly surprised at how amazing the customer service is, not something you find at a vet. The doctors and there team are professional, friendly and have a great way with my cat and explaining everything that is happening. I think it is amazing that they take the time and call to see how my cat is doing after every visit. Also love that I can communicate and book apts without having to call them, so smart for a business and hard to find in BK.I recently switched to them and cant imagine ever going to any other vet. Highly recommend them to you and all my friends.

Ive been going to them for the past 2 years. They are always very welcoming and always available to answer any questions i have over the phone. Both doctors always show great concern for my dogs. They always call me to check up on my dogs after visits and after phone calls that i make with questions regarding my dogs. The doctors are both so sweet that i never have a preference of who i go see. :)
I absolutely love Marine Park Vet Group. I switched to them after my last vet missed a huge tumor on one of my dogs, which I then had to put to sleep. I explained my concerns and they were understanding and attentive. Dr.Montella and the assistant were nice, friendly, and most important, made me feel very comfortable. They care about my dogs just as much as I do! I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone.

Ever since the first time visiting Marine Park Vet, I have always taken my dog back to this same place. The doctors and the staff are very nice, and I feel like I can trust them to take care of my best friend. They have always have openings last minute, too, if my dog wasnt feeling well. I recommend this vet for a small-town feel, where they will give your pet time and attention.

I have been taking my 13 year old Lab to Marine Park Vet group for over 5 years. Dr Montella and Dr. Amy are both wonderful and the staff is friendly and always takes excellent care of us. We never have to wait long and they are very accommodating of last minute appointments. We also boarded our dog at Marine Park Vet once and had a great experience. Our dog had so much fun with them she didnt want to come home!
The Marine Park Vet group provided personal and professional services to my 3 y/o Havanese, Rocco. A thorough exam, and suggestions for weight control were very helpful in caring for my pet. The appointment was on time and the staff very friendly.I did utilize their groomer, and was pleased with the results. The only negative remark I have is regarding the availability of the groomer - I had to wait over a week for the appointment.I would recommend Marine Park Vet Group to anyone looking for a neighborhood vet for their pet.
Marine Park Veterinary Group is a great place!On my first visit there they were very kind and sympathetic towards me and my daughter.I had taken my 20 year old cat there to see if they could help her but unfortunately, they couldnt. She had lived a good long life. They had to euthanize her. It was a very sad day for me and my daughter.But all in all, I highly recommend Marine Park Veterinary Group to anyone that owns a pet.
Dr. Montella has taken care of my babies for many years. He has always been kind, caring, compassionate, and completely professional, providing whatever is appropriate to keep my dogs healthy and comfortable. Their long happy lives are evidence of that. The staff has always been accommodating and patient, warm and welcoming, I cannot imagine using any other vet.
2nd Review of Marine Park Veterinary Group. My 1st review was a year ago when I first started taking my puppy there. Well, Chico is now 1 yr and 4 months and I think he loves them as much as I do. All the staff is great, especially Nikki, the Vet Tech and Anna, the receptionist. I havent official had Dr. Montella as my Chico hasnt needed any services after his shots, however, I know hes great as well. We will be there for new shots this week but Im sure I will have only good things to report! They are so caring and friendly and it is a pleasure to speak with anyone there! Love this place and so glad I decided to make this our vet!
Over the past four weeks, Marine Park Vet Group has been taking care of my dog. She had developed an ulcer in her eye and they were treating it with medications and small procedures. They went above and beyond to do their best to help heal her eye. When it was not getting better quickly enough they recommended I see a canine ophthalmologist. I could not get an appointment for 3 weeks so I decided to take her back to the doctor in the mean time. The staff continued to treat her but also made phone calls to have my dogs seen quicker at the Verg Ophthalmologist. Dr. Montella called me later to say that he had successfully scheduled an appointment for my dog within the next three days. Dr. Montella and Dr. Primason are excellent. I had not been to this practice in many years and they still treated us with the best care. Although she is being treated at Verg, they still call to check up on her. I highly recommend this office and they will continue to be my regular vet.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Montella has been treating our yellow lab mix, Bailey for 5 years and before her, Pebbles our chocolate lab for 9 years. When we rescued Pebbles from a suffolk county shelter at 3 y.o., she got sick with an unknown illness. Dr Montella did his research and diagnosed her with Leptospirosis which was not a common disease in the city, but is prevalent in deer populated communities.Dr. Montella saved her life and we highly recommend him for your pets safety.
Its okay, I liked the doctor and the assistance. The front desk staff (younger women) wasnt too polite, she was busy having a conversation with a friend instead of checking my dog and I out. The office itself is a bit dated and definitely needs a face lift. My dog seemed calm and not to jumpy which is usually is, so that was calming. The wait was a bit longer than I expected. Overall its an okay place. Hoping my future visit wont be my last.
Dr Peter Montello is an amazing veterinarian, he along with his colleagues and staff make it a good experience. Dr Pete is the absolute best! He is professional, courteous, warm and loving with his patients. It’s not just a job for him, he truly is a healer. I am so grateful to have someone that has integrity and cares for my pup the way that he does. I travel from Tottenville, Staten Island to Marine Park Brooklyn to see him and it will always be worth the trip. Thank you Marine Park! 👍🏼
Marine Park Vet is the only place I’ll bring my dog. He had his teeth cleaned a few months ago and they did a great job. Always giving a follow up phone call to see how he is doing. The office is clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly.
I was referred to this place by another groomer. My cat was suffering from very bad hair mats.My cat is very fresh so I wasnt sure what to expect. So during the exam the veterinary physician said she needed to be sedated in order for them to remove the hair mats, which was no surprise to me. During the whole exam and even before I got there the front desk administrator was very pleasant and nice. As well as, the veterinarys assistant was amazing and knew how to handle my crazy cat. The Vet Amy was very welcoming and a pleasure to be around. Before doing everything they also gave me an estimate of how much everything was going to cost before doing the actual exam on my cat. I was able to leave my cat there and go home. They told me a time that I should call to see how my cat was doing and an estimate of when they would be finish. The whole visit was AMAZING! It was a bit of a distance for me to travel but was worth every moment. And will do it again. Great care of my Canary Diamond (cat). Prices not bad. Least for what I had to get done for my cat. :))
Wonderful place with even better vets and vet techs. Everytime we come here we are greeted in a kind and friendly way. My doggy doesnt even mind coming here and arrives with a smile every time. Now, we have a tough dog who is difficult to handle for most vets but MPVG has been amazing. He can be unruly when it is time for the checkup. Were lucky to have discovered this gem!
I have been bringing my dog to the Marine Park Vet Group for the past 7 years. The staff is great, and answers all of your questions. Dr. Montella and Dr. Lily are both extremely knowledgeable and spend time on the phone with you as well to make sure everything is going okay when there are issues. Highly recommended!
We took our kitten for her first vet visit 11 days ago. The staff at Marine Park Vets was caring and knowledgeable and even called the next day to see how she was feeling after receiving her first vaccination. We are happy with the service they provide and will return for another visit next week.
So far so good! Ive only been to Marine Park Veterinary Group once, the reason being 4 stars. However, the receptionist there was very polite. The doctors are very knowledgeable, very welcoming! Lab results came back within three days, cant go wrong with that. 4 stars for now, awaiting to see what the future holds!

Been going to this place for years, until my last trip. Needed to spay my cat, they gave me an estimate on the phone. Came in, they gave me letter to sign almost 3 times more the initial price. Cat totally healthy. I left and did it twice cheaper. Always, check your bills
Ive been coming here for 15 years and absolutely love the staff and Dr. Montella. Theyre all extremely thorough and caring and will always call the day after a visit to see how my dog is feeling. Ive recommended numerous friends to Marine Park Vet and everyone loves them.
Zara my yorkie was well taken care of. The doctor was attentive, kind and knowledgeable. I really felt like she answered all our questions and we got the best care here. Really liked that they took their time to get her history and work through what could really be wrong. I would definitely take my Zara back here. :)
This veterinarian Peter Montella is by far the most caring and nicest vet I have ever met.And I should know I have owned dogs for over 55 yrs! Been to many vets and not one vet is as thoughtful and good with animals as he is. If you love your dog or cat you go to him period!!! Not only is he that good but his prices are very affordable. Been to many vets in the past and always felt broke afterwards. He is a saint when it comes to animals. I live 26 miles away and there is no way I would go to anyone else except him.
Dr Montella and the Staff of Marine Park are the best!!!! Ive been bringing my cats to him for over 25 years. He is kind, caring, empathetic and has the ability to know at every point in the patients care what to do. I have recommended him on several occasions to friends with kittys and dogs.

My first visit: fairly spacious waiting area and not a long wait. The veterinary Dr and his assistant easy mannered, soft spoken and gentle with their patient. A bit more expensive than my previous vet, but worth it. Follow up calls by vet himself.
I found Marine Park Veterinary Group via an internet search when I first adopted my Pomeranian mix as a four week old puppy. almost two years later, I still love bringing him to the vet. It is easy to make an appointment, and I usually dont have to wait longer than 10 minutes in the waiting room when I get there. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. And my dogs vet is very gentle and patient (with both of us!). My dog is very happy and healthy, and I owe much of that to MPVG.
I have 3 pitbulls that I have been bringing here for a little over a year and I have no complaints. It is easy to get an appointment and the vets are very good. One in particular Jeff Beverly takes a genuine interest in them and makes you feel very comfortable. One of my dogs had a problem with itching and she was given a shot and antibiotic and the itching and scratching subsided. My dogs like the place so much that when I walk by they pull me to go in....which is a little strange but thats what they do. The only negative I had was the waiting time a couple of times ran a little more than I expected but overall I would recommend them highly.
Love Dr. Pete & his team! He is the best and very thorough. Spends time with you, doesn’t rush you through an exam. We always receive a follow up call to see how our pup is doing even after a routine visit.

After calling my regular Vet of 9 years (whose name I wont mention) and telling them my 12 year old Maltese was having breathing issues and being told they could not accommodate me, I went on line and called the first vet that popped up. I am very glad I found this place. X-rays done, blood work done and a diagnosis, all on the first visit. Everyone was kind and attentive. Everything was explained and I trust the doctors diagnosis and treatment plan. I found my new Vet right here.

I never wanted a dog. I never had one. But then my husband and children begged, and Santa brought us our little Lily. She is a Shi Tzu and the now, love of my life. We have been taking Lily to Marine Park Vet for the entirety of her now 9 years of life. They are so warm and welcoming. The receptionists always have a smile and the doctors and technicians are always so thorough in their examinations. I had a scare with my Lily a year ago and Marine Park Vet Group helped me and my Lily through it. I really cannot say enough about how loving they are. I highly recommend.
I have known Dr. Montella and the Marine Park Vet Group since the early 90s. Back then, they came to the rescue when my old dog, Emily, was bleeding from stones in her belly,and her old vet could not see her for hours. They jumped right in and did surgery.When complications arose after her discharge, the took her back reopened her up and took care of her wounds, watching her for 10 days til she healed properly...no extra charge.That level of care and concern is not seen too often. Years later, when Emily was stricken with cancer, they helped us with making the difficult decision to put her to sleep. Their kindness and concern made a difficult day bearable. 2 years ago, when we adopted our new dog, Hayley, the choice of vets was an easy one. We went right back to Marine park, and am very satisfied with their service. The staff is wonderful, and you can tell they love their jobs and the pets who come in. All are treated like family.
This is my new review for 2018. Dr. Montella and his staff are great. They are attentive and informed. They even massaged my cats ears which she loves. I travel from Midwood to see them.Im leaving another review for Dr. Montella and his team of helpers. Taking Sally in for annual exam in October. She went in to have her ears examined and I was assured she was ok. Look forward to going back. They always take care of Sally and follow-up with a phone call to see if shes alright.Another review. Have been going to marine park vet for over 20 years now. For 17 yrs with my lhaso apso DJ who was always treated royally especially at the end of his life with comfort and dignity for him as well as for me. Now I take my terrier maltese there. Dr Montello and his staff are always friendly and caring. I would certainly recommend him to all pet parents
We absolutely love Marine Park Vet Group! We are very new to being pet parents and the staff and doctors are kind, patient, and very helpful. Wait time is not long and they take the time to speak with you and address any concerns. They even follow up after procedures to make sure that your and your pet are doing ok.

We recently got two Beagel puppies and were recommended by friends to use Marine Park Vet. The staff is friendly and Dr Montella is wonderful. The most important thing is my puppies Johnny and Joey love going to the vet. That says a lot!!!
This was my 1st appointment with MPVG and I was very satisfied with the quality of care, service and follow up. Dr. Lily was great! She, as well as the nurse (I can’t remember her name) was very gentle and attentive to my precious ragdolls Bella and Marley. They answered all my questions and made us feel very comfortable. I also received follow up calls to see how they were doing as well as a call to give me results of their stool sample. I’m very satisfied and plan to make MPVG my regular vet. You can tell they really care about your pets. Dr. Lilly was absolutely fantastic as well as the rest of the staff that worked there. And it only took a day for me to find out the results on my puppy. Very professional and just a caring atmosphere

Appointment hour was 12 pm, my dog was seen at 12 01 pm, so 10 points starting with. the assistant as well as Dr. Lily worked fast and efficient to minimize the animals stress. I was using Marine Park Veterinary for 12 years and I was very happy with the service they provided for my dog Max. My dog Cocker Spaniel passed four years ago - I moved to New Jersey and so far I cant find another vet I would be so happy as I was with Dr. Montelas office service. First off they are always available whenever you need to schedule an appointment for your dog and they always follow up after every visit with a phone call. Whenever I needed advice with my new dog even after I moved out from NY I called them and they supported me as they could. I would refer them at any time.Thanks
Dr Montella and Dr. Beverly are just amazing, although I am sad to see Dr. Beverly go. My dog almost died last summer and although she needed many specialists to take over, they continued to check on her. Every time we go there, they are so good to her, they spend time with her, answer all my questions and follow up every time.If people ask me for a recommendation, Dr. Montella is the 1st person I recommend - their office hours cant be beat either.
Dr. Peter Montella and his staff should be the gold standard by which all veterinary groups are judged.Not only is Dr. Montella outstanding as a clinician, but is also genuinely caring. One has only to see the numerous photos of cats, dogs, and other animals that adorn his office and exam rooms to know that he is a true animal lover!Just as importantly, his reception and tech staff deserve high praises for their competence and caring. Pet owners are naturally worried when they take their precious animals to the doctor, but these fears are soon ameliorated when you encounter his staff.Last, and perhaps least, the charges for services are fair. and reasonable.....another plus.If you are in need of a vet, you should not hesitate to use Marine Park Veterinary. Although I, personally, have not used Dr. Montellas colleague, I trust Dr. Montellas judgement in having an excellent associate!I have recommended Dr. Montella to many friends, most recently owners of a Westie puppy, and they could not be more pleased.

I went to visit this location Sept. 9th 2015 with my dog Paco which was an emergency and although I ended up having to put my dog down, The Staff were just wonderful. They were caring, respectful and just plain and simple Friendly. I would for sure be going back there once I rescue another little fur baby. I would also recommend them to Friends & Family members.
A friend of mine referred me to this office to have my cat checked out as she was a stray cat who wouldnt leave my house. Dr. Montella and his staff was able to assist me without a problem. There were very friendly and professional. Came to find out my cat was a house cat that only needed her nails clipped. Long Story short, I ended up keeping the cat and getting her microchipped. I know my cats overdue for her annual checkup.

Two years ago we had to say goodbye to our 17 year old poodle. Dr Montello and his staff kept his quality of life at a high level. We now have a new 4 legged family member and we wouldnt even think of going to anyone else. These people care about you and your pet. Parking is tough but worth it.

When my visiting vet left town, she recommended MPVG and Dr Montello. Its a little out of the way for us, but its worth the trip. Dr Montello LOVES the animals and the staff was kind, efficient and helpful. When my cat had oral surgery a few years ago, I was supposed to ask for the Dental Month Discount. i forgot, but the staff didnt and gave the discount automatically! I found them to be very reasonable as well.

Dr Pete and his staff are great!! I drive all the way from Staten island just to come here. Everyone is so friendly and there is never a wait! I wouldnt trust anyone else with my pup!
I used this vet twice and was very unhappy with them. I came to them when I could not get in to see my regular vet. They needed to do a test for cushings. I left 2 of my dogs with them, the test was 6 hours. They did not give my dogs a bowl of water in the whole time they were there. I hung around for the day and I heard my dogs barking from outside the building. I asked for them to let me see my dogs to see if they were ok, it was a most unusual experience. They said no, and my reply to that was then I am taking them out of here, screw this place! They then took me to see my dogs. One was left in a corner cage by herself in the dark, there was hardly any lighting and they kept a dead cat right next to my dog in her field of vision! I was beyond angry! Then I went to see my other dog which was another flight up. My dog normally loves to go to the vet, she loves the attention and has never been afraid to be left. Well this sweet dog was overheated, barking her head off, and has since been very afraid to be left at even her regular vet where she gets excellent attention. Treatment wise, the doctor kept telling me to call back over and over. No treatment at all. I cant see how anyone would be happy with treatment like this. If you do use this vet (I would recommend not to), and you leave your pet there, MAKE SURE they get fluids. Ask to check on them. Dont blindly leave them, this is not a good place at all!
Dr. Pete is always on target when I have a problem with my fur babies and his assistants and staff are so patient and friendly. Ive been lucky lately and just doing wellness visits, but I know if I have an emergency, they are there for my pups. Thumbs up to Marine Park Veterinary Group!!
My veterinarian of 12 years had retired last December, so I chose Marine Park Group because of Dr. Montellas academic credentials and experience. I believe I have made a good choice for my cat. Dr. Montella and staff appear to be a no-nonsense and hard-working group. Dr. Montella has returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would recommend this veterinary clinic highly for anyone who must also transition to an accomplished and very competent veterinarian.

Marine Park Veterinary Group has been taking care of Romeo since I rescued him eleven years ago. The entire staff from the doctors to the vet techs to the office staff could not be more caring. Every visit is followed by a phone call to check on Romeo. They exude confidence and caring and are never alarmists. Even when I am frantic and Romeos health, they calm my fears and take the time to explain everything to me so I can understand.Romeo is a rescue and MPV always speaks to him in a calming tone that makes him feel comfortable.I wish they treated humans.

This was our first visit at this particular vet. From the call, to see whem the soonest they could see my dog, to us walking out of the store I was happy. There was no BS. The vet was amazing, and the one quality I loved wasthe fact that they didnt try and rip me off. They did the initial visit and told me to monitor her on the meds for a week and if i see no improvemnet come back in and if i do then keep monitoring and come in if the issues arise again! Ive been to vets that will run every test they can just because! This place is amazing!
This was my first time going to this vet on Sat and I have to say that I really felt comfortable knowing that this will be the place that I will take my dog moving forward. They were very knowledgeable, very gentle with my puppy and provided lots of advise for me since I am a first time puppy owner. I highly recommend this practice! :)

The only place anyone should trust their furry family with. These people care for the animals as if the animals are their own. They also give you an one stop shop. I have been bringing my dog to dr montalla from the day he was born. He is very honest and wil woke his butt off to make sure the dog is great and I felt satisfied. They are a bit pricey, but what’s your dog’s life worth to you? I also roomn and board him there while I am away out of town and when I come pickup my dog he Sens justvas happy when I brought him in. I know these people tske great care of the dogs and I am forever grateful to dr montalla and staff. Thank you

I brought my 4lb maltipoo there for the first time, switching doctors. The vet and his staff were extremely thorough. when I mentioned a plaque problem, my previous vet said it would eventually go away... this vet was concerned and wanted to follow up in a month bc hr was afraid of infection. I am pleased that we have a great vet located in our neighborhood

Friendly service. Took my 16 year old cat and he was diagnosed with kidney failure he was prescribed special diet and iv fluids doing well. Just didnt like that they asked if I wanted to have X-ray done to see if there is a blockage my cat is sixteen you already diagnosed him and prognosis for kidney failure not so good felt as if it was about $$$

I suspected my puppy Clyde to have a Urinary tract infection, as per he began to show certain signs. So I wanted to be safe and take him to the vet. The doctor was very good with my Puppy Clyde. However, I was told before I got there that I would be paying around $100-$120 for the services. I winded up paying $270 for a urine exam and culture. The doctor had told me that it could be a UTI or something with his kidneys possibly, which was why they took the culture. I had called Saturday as requested at 2pm to find out if my puppy needed just antibiotics...or ADDITIONAL blood work (which would cost another 100 and change.) I had called about 5 times and the doctor did not get back to me until closing time, where as he told me to come get antibiotics for now - within 15 mins before he was leaving office, which it was impossible for me to get there within 15 mins. Then told me to come in Tuesday to see him again, which worries me a little because my puppy is being untreated right now. Which, I still do not know if he needs blood work, or just antibiotics. For almost 300$ I could have had a better experience... will see how it goes Tuesday when I go back.
Efficient, fast & compassionate. My dog was a little nervous for her well visit. I guess she knew she was going to get some shots & blood drawn! Dr. Montella & his assistant were patient & kind because they were having trouble getting Gracee s blood. But it took some time & she lived through it..without even a yelp! Yes, Gracee got a treat when we got home.

Daisy, an eighty-five pound long haired German Shepherd, can literally be a handful Dr. Montella and his staff answered all my concerns and were very professional. I just received notification that Daisy is due for a rabies shot, and expect the same time and patience with Daisy and me, even though it will only be one shot.In the past, with other dogs, some vets have tried to sell me dog items, and/or tried to convince me the dog needed a special diet or treatment that I found was unnecessary when I went for a second opinion. This has not been the case with Dr. Montella and his staff.Frances Ruoff

Love this office.....efficient, courteous, and most of all really concerned about my pet.Dr. Peter explains everything. Takes time to answer my questions. I get calls from the office to see how my pooch is doing, and to ask if I have any questions or need anything.They even submit my pet insurance forms!Im only sorry he doesnt treat people!!!!!
I brought my puppy to MPVG and this being my first puppy, I’m super nervous and have so many questions. The vet tech and veternarian were so amamzing and listened to my concerns, (no matter how neurotic they were!). I totally trust them with my puppy’s well being
My last two experiences were terrible after Dr. Beverly left. First, they made a horrific error regarding my beloved cats ashes and handled the situation disrespectfully. They claimed I never picked up my cats ashes. I explained to the woman that I have my cats ashes. In a nasty tone, she remarked:Im looking right at it. I explained again that I had the ashes in front of me and asked her if shes telling me I have the wrong ashes. She panicked and said shell call me back. An intern named Nikki did assist me and was helpful after what had happened. The woman that I spoke to did finally apologize. I never got an official apology from Marine Park Vet Grp. Second, I had called the office explaining that I had a rescue cat and couldnt get her into the carrier. I did ask about getting her tested for parasites. They did the test which I paid for but never said from the beginning that I had to bring her in. Though I had received a phone call, from what I understood the results were positive; I went in to get the Meds and was told they wouldnt give them to me unless I brought her in. In my frustration, I explained again that she is a rescue and I couldnt get her into the carrier. The current Vet came out to talk to me and I found his behavior to be aggressive and intimidating, making remarks, such as, I have to weigh her. Do you want me to kill your cat? They should have explained to me before I had the test done that I would have to bring her to be weighed if she needed medication. Then I would have waited until I could get her in to get the test done. Im very disappointed with these last two encounters with Marine Park Vet Grp.
The staff here is very friendly and always happy to answer any questions. Dr. Montella always answers all of my questions about my kittens health and development (no matter how silly they might sound) and genuinely cares.
Marine Park Vet has been our go to doc for our pooch Norton. I was originally told 3 shots for my puppy. I got the deworm shot and booster shot. Then wait 3 months to get the rabies shot. I got my dog when she was two months old now ive wait 3 months since the 2 shots. Total 5 months now the person on the phone saying i cant give my dog the shot. So I called today this retard on the phone is telling me no I need two more booster before I can get the rabies for my dog. Booster shots are useless. And plus the doctor told me all I need is 3 shots total deworm, 1 booster and rabies.
Experience with this vet was emaculate. They were very kind and explanatory. Listened and answered all questions. Took us right in for our appointment on time. I definitely Recommend this vet place

I was recommended by VERG when my little 17 yr old chihuahua Piccolo had been misdiagnosed and started to show symptoms of pain and weightloss. The compassion and care given by Dr. Beverly and the staff was beyond my expectations especially having nearly 30 years experience in the Healthcare field.Unfortunately, my little Piccolo had to be put out of his misery, but it took all of 24 hours for Dr. Beverly to reach a correct diagnosis. He checked on him DAILY until his final hour. What should have been the most horrible experience of my life became what I can only described as dignified . And if you think it stops there..think again. I received condolences via grievance card. BRAVO TO THE ALL!!

Always love the staff and Dr.Montello they always make us feel like family. Their always there for u when u need help or advice about ur pets.
My family has been using this Vet Group for years. Love it! Everyone is so nice and I know my pets are being taken care of.

2021-08-05Dr Peter Montella I’d not only an experienced and highly competent veterinarian, but is also a caring and compassionate doctor. I have used his services fir many years, and my cats have enjoyed healthy happy years because of him.And, equally importantly, his staff is efficient and so customer friendly. They presenta superb “ first face” to this practice, an attribute so verybimportant!

2021-02-08I’ve been taking my animals to see Dr. Montella for many many years. Both Dr. Montella and his staff are fantastic. They all have great bedside manners. Dr. Montella is honest, funny, and a pleasure. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he will take care if my babies like they were his own! I trust him completely. Thank you!

2019-04-30Staff is kind, compassionate and friendly. My fur baby is treated with care and patience. I really appreciate the visit reminders via email and the fact the reminders list what immunizations or preventative medications your pet is due for. Keep up the great work!

2021-12-15Been going here for over 10 years and all of a sudden they don’t want to be helpful and just dropped birds care completely. They’ve been making me wait weeks to get an appointment because they only did bird care “once a week”. Turns out that’s not even a bird technician just a normal groomer. I thought they cared about pets but they just want to make money at the end of the day. Case in point no one bothered to tell me they let go of their bird technicians or I wouldn’t have trusted them as long as I did.

2017-07-15Love Dr Montella! Hes great to talk to about more holistic approaches to animal care and is very down to earth. I think he gets a kick out of my boyfriends over protectiveness of his baby girl, lol.

2021-04-10Dr. Montella and his staff are great! My pup has been in many times over the past year, I recently rescued her and she had various conditions to treat (deworming, vaccines, minor surgery etc). Dr. Montella is very knowledgeable and handled everything with care, so glad I found him, wouldnt go anywhere else. My pup is healthy and living her best life now.

2021-05-19I don’t know where to start! I have nothing but respect for Dr. Montella who is one of the best veterinarians I have ever came across. Most recently my almost 17 year old shihtzu Lola passed away and the love, respect and the accommodations they made for me and my family will never go forgotten. Jackie number 2 thank you for taking such good care of Lola! what you did for me is something I will never forget.I HIGHLY recommend this office far and near !!

2021-03-20Dr Montella and his group saved my dog on more then one occasion. He is honest and truly cares about the pet and the owner. He does not look to rip people off or charge ridiculous fees. My dog has since passed but my family and I owe the time we had with her because of Dr Montella. Would recommend always!
