I did not realize there was a nice place to eat in Hornell. No offense Hornell, I love you my mom lives there, but I dont really come there to have dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you marinos I will definitely be back

Recommended by the girl at the Best Western, this was a great restaurant! The steaks were cooked to perfection. The vegetable seasoning was delicious. More than enough food to you feel full. Unique older building gave it a beautiful ambiance for evening dining.

Excellent service everytime we have gone! I ordered a Delmonico steak done medium and it came out hot and as ordered. Nice atmosphere and is a great place for a date night. I would highly recommend!

The food is fabulous here. Reasonably priced. Such a great variety on menu as well as specials. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. We sat inside entrance, as I didnt want to do stairs with my cane. As we were near bar, it was a bit loud, but not unreasonable. I have been upstairs in the past, and it is a more intimate setting for conversation and couples.Did I mention fabulous food!?!?
Food was definitely good. First time here and will definitely return again. Really enjoyed the meal and the service was good as well. Italian bread served cold with hard cold butter, very difficult to butter. Had an upstairs and downstairs. Were taken upstairs which was hard for me with my disability but not their fault, downstairs was full. Update, 6 April 2017, Took father out for dinner here. Another fine meal and service. Dad really enjoyed the 16 oz Delmonico Steak.
The staff at Marinos were wonderful and pleasant our waitress was calm and provided wonderful service despite how busy they were. Our steaks were undercooked but the owner went out of his way to fix the inconvenience. We appreciate the dedication you have to your business. Thank you and your staff for making our anniversary dinner enjoyable!

Great menu. Good selection of drinks deserts are amazing. Ribs and sirloin combo was excellent atmosphere is low key and quiet. Wonderful old building with upscale appeal. I highly recommend this place especially for the area and price was quite nice. Not to bad.

Possibly the best steak Ive had in a long time. The food came quick and the staff was friendly and attentive. The place as a whole had a very calm and delightful feeling to it. Cant wait to come back.

The rating is entirely dependent on how busy it is. When not to busy they would deserve a 4. Unfortunately, when they are busy which is frequently, they would be rated a three . We believe that the hard working kitchen staff sacrifice quality for quantity. Most, if not all diners want quality and will gladly wait a few extra minutes for it. Both of our meals, ravioli and creole pork suffered from haste. We will go again in hopes of better quality. The wait staff is always excellent as is the atmosphere.

Love the food, hate how dark it was and small, waitress had hard time keeping up with tables. Hauling huge trays up and down the stairs. Young, but friendly yet very inexperienced servers, but awesome food and ambiance.
Great food great atmosphere. We love it there and we will be back, however the last time we were there our server had a very bad attitude, and was rude! Weve dined at Marinos multiple times and love it there. They need to work with some of their wait staff, training them with courtious service!

Marinos was a wonderful place to eat with a clean and ornate interior with good food and low prices. The only negative I can think of would be a small seating area which means reservations are recommended. Overall it is a very good restaurant.

Marinos is delicious! I have always had great meals there -- and I have had it all! Chicken wings, salads (love the pita quarters!), chicken sandwiches, incredible -- and I mean incredible -- burgers, and outstanding evening entrees. Try anything French on the menu -- artichokes, veal, chicken, all mouth-watering. The salmon entree on the menu is cooked perfectly every time. And make sure you have the calamari appetizer and someone at your table needs to order the Seafood Marino. Ridiculously delicious!

Had an anniversary dinner with my husband this evening. Was not impressed with the food at all! The staff where amazing!! Very kind, polite, and on point with everything!
Love Marinos, one of the few classier sit down restaurants in Hornell. My only suggestion would be to scrap the corn and fries on the fish fry and replace them with something else. Otherwise any other meal Ive had, has always been fantastic.

Very generous portions. We had penne vodka and the tri-pepper chicken penne special as our entrees. Both were good, but the blush cream sauce on the penne vodka was especially good. The creme brûlée individual cheese cake was exceptionally good. Many have told me that this is the best restaurant in town.
The food was great but $$$ and the atmosphere was good, UNTIL a group of business men came in and were so loud I couldnt even hear my daughter. One table moved and the other table complained. The solution by the staff was to turn up the music! My daughter and I were so disappointed it ruined our entire meal and experience.
Special meals and first date happened here , although it gets to be pretty loud , guests needing to hear themselves over the other table , not the owners fault , but still pretty loud , food is delicious.. servers well mannered for the most part .
Overall a very good experience...wide variety of menu items..soups outstanding... Sandwiches good..steak on salad a bit tough- marinated top round..would pay a bit more for grilled sirloin or filet...but still would recommend Marinos for lunch/dinner..

Hadnt been here in a while and tried it last Friday. Had the Asian glazed Mahi with rice and a huge side salad with the house balsamic and blue cheese crumbles. Delicious! Will definitely be back.
I love this place! The food is always excellent and the wait staff is very friendly and helpful. If you ever stop there I would highly recommend the Mussels Marino - amazing!

Its a small place but they move people pretty quickly. The food is really good and so is there service. Best ribs in town.

Joes business is booming and this restaurant is the centerpiece of dining in the Hornell area. My favorite place for a nice meal. Its where I bring my guests who are new to this area.

2022-03-23I was there with my family for my birthday back at the end of December. Small place, very friendly staff. They had just reopened days before, it was very pleasant. The meal was very good. The restaurant was quiet even though they were very busy. Its definitely worth the time and effort and money to have a meal here.

2022-05-05Best service you could ask for! Was with a coworker looking for a place to eat, even though they were not open yet the chef welcomed us inside to get us something to eat. They were over accommodating and the food was out of this world! Do yourself a favor and stop by and get a amazing meal.

Just moved to this small area and having a difficult time finding good restaurants.My son liked the spinach artichoke dip, thought it was one of the better ones he has eaten.I had the salmon special with risotto and both were good. My other son had the Delmonico steak special and there was hardly any fat and it was tasted good.We didnt have drinks but it was tuesday and drinks are only $4 which is a good deal.Place is nice inside.

2022-02-15Disappointing. Ordered take out. Proteins were over cooked - a $27 steak should be cooked medium rare as requested, not medium/well. Chicken in the pasta dish was dry.Mashed potatos tasted like play-dough, I’m wondering if they were instant.Soup was forgotten in the order, only realized this when we were 30 minutes back home already.The inside seemed nice and cozy. I’d be willing to try them one more time and dine in but for $70, I expected a lot better. I could go to Rochester or Buffalo and spend $70 on dinner and get an amazing meal.

2022-02-24As a first timer to Marinos, I was pleasantly surprised to experience such a high quality meal and service. Our waitress was professionally dressed and courteous, the food was delicious, and the environment is a relaxing throwback to hometown Italian American restaurants gone by.

2022-03-29The food was good and the service was fast. The only thing I am not so happy was the less vegetarian or vegan options in the menu. Wish they would have added some more vegetarian options in burger and pasta.

2018-06-22Local favorite. Nice restaurant right in the middle of Hornell. The atmosphere was great. The have a full bar, decent wine selection, with 6 or 7 beers on tap (import, local craft, and domestic). I had the baby clams and pork tenderloin pasta and both were cooked well and tasted great. Casey behind the bar was extremely nice and took great care of me. Highly suggested if you are in town and looking for a good sit down meal or just a drink. Also they have 3 TVs behind the bar with sports or the news on. on a side note make sure you park in a public parking spot and not in one of the businesses parking lots close by, the are marked accordingly.
