Marinos Pizza in other cities:
Excellent sandwiches! I especially love the tuna subs! Only four out of five stars, because the tall guy, with the glasses, who normally makes the subs takes way to long, to make them. It does not take 45 minutes, to make 3 [pre-cooked] subs. Being in the restaurant industry, I understand quality and patience, but theres a limit. Excellent food and service, otherwise! Highly recommended.
The best pizza within 100 miles. Fresh, from scratch and a great crust. Thick but not cooked in a pan full of oil. Ingredients are high quality. Not teeny. Real sliced pepperoni. Sausage w a hint of fennel. Incredible mozz and sweet red pepper. This is not comfort food - its a meal.
I had been eating Marinos for about 30 years, since I was a kid. Their pizza is the best Ive ever had anywhere. Their subs are so delicious too. The staff has never really been friendly, but they havent been rude either, the service was good none the less. Ive since moved away and I cant tell you how often I crave this pizza. I paid a lot to have a family member overnight one to me.
Amazing subs. Best pastrami sub outside of NYC. It actually hurts my feelings to give 3 stars but they have cut back the meat portion but real reason for 3 stars is I eat here on regular basis and just called to place an order and 3 times Im hung up on and call back. When I finally get through he tells me he couldnt hear me? So you hang up on a regular customer? I work in the industry so I understand being busy but you never do that. Whoever that guy is needs to go, he is costing you more money than hes making you. If not for the food being so good I wouldnt ever come back.
A true Saratoga classic. Pizza place known for subs. I’ve been eating here since I was a child. Pan style pizza is crispy and chewy. A bit greasy but in a good way. All scratch made with secret family recipes. The sausage slices are outstanding! But by far Marino’s is known for the subs. They make their own bread. And yes many places do this now but Marino’s loaves of Italian bread are on another level entirely. The flavor, the texture, truest the stuff of dreams. Slightly crispy on the outside but super soft and chewy inside. No online review could properly explain. Just stop in, get a whole turkey sub with everything on it and thank my later. After your nap.
This place has some of the best subs I have ever had. They are large and very filling. Half a sub will keep me full for 8 hours. They only take cash and they have an ATM conveniently located right across from the register. My recommendation: Chicken Tender sub w/ honey mustard. You wont be disappointed, well, unless you dont like chicken tenders or honey mustard.
Girl working the phone and counter is rude and horrible at her customer service skills. Online said 16 for pizza she tells me cash only and charges me 20 when I get there and treated me like garbage for asking about the difference. I feel robbed. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE
Just every time I have gone its been a bad experience. They have no bread so cant make subs or the website says they are opened hour that when you call they are not. They seem to run out of products. Really disappointed. Not run like they use to. Even the prices are to much. 6 people standing behind a counter just to tell you they are out of bread..ok. I found a great place in Warrensburg...
Has been a favorite of mine for 25 or 30 years and ruined it in 3 day.tried to order subs Tuesday night they were out of bread.thursday night picked up subs on way home from daughters soccer practice ordered one plain and dry for daughter covered in mayo and veggies get all the way home and find nothing she can eat. Call back to let them know their mistake argued with me and said I ordered it wrong. Very next night Friday night ordered a couple of pizzas a large cheese and a large pepperoni and texted my wife to pick them up. She came home with one pepperoni pizza. Called them back in disbelief that they could screw up my order two nights in a row and again was argued with and told I ordered it wrong. It pains me but I am done with them will never order again.
Best pizza Ive had in Saratoga. However, this place will not take credit cards and they will not let you order 1/2 your wings one sauce and 1/2 the other without charging you extra. Also, they are also not open on Sundays (like nobody ever wanted pizza for NFL gameday). Why would you run a business that purposefully inconveniences your customers?
Want a REAL SUB? these are giants! the meatball sub weighs over two lbs and is extremely good even the cold sub shown weighs 2 lbs plus. ive been going to Marinoes in Saratoga since 1990. you CAN NOT FIND SUBS like this any wheres. trust me i have eaten at many sub shops but MARINOES IS THE BEST GOING!!! LOCATED ON WEST CIRCULAR ST AT UNION ST TRY THEM ITS WELL WORTH IT)
Want to say now that marinos has open agin one of my favorite places to eat i am in line in their wating to buy slices someone calls over the phone and butly the slices than they tell me i would have to wait 45 mons to get anything from theam i am defintly going to blast theam all over the internet because that isnt right at all slice should be firat come first serve like every where els
Mama Mia, Marinos is a Saratoga standard for pizza. Dont listen to those Barstool Sports fools, they should stick to what they know! The pizza is thick, the sauce is perfect and the cheese is just right! Their subs are the biggest, baddest piece of hoagey badassery in town. Did I say a whole loaf of Italian bread? Yeah I did! Look, you can go for imitations or you can go for the king of pie in Saratoga Springs. Bring cash because they dont take plastic or rubber checks. Transactional food the way momma wanted it! Marinos! A Saratoga food foundation!
I live in amsterdam ny one of my friends told me about marinos pizza well I am always looking for a good pizza so I decided to try marinos I must say it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had now if you like that ny style pizza that you fold over to eat this is not the pizza for you this pizza has a nice crisp crust and all the toppings were great too.I wish I lived closer to this place I would order from them at least twice a week

2022-03-29Never disappoints! My husband and I have been coming here for many years! Our favorite is the hot pastrami sub! It’s definitely worth every penny. Yes it’s cash only, but they do have an atm right by the counter.

2022-01-29Always the best subs! They bake their own bread, they are fresh, plentiful and delicious! I know they sell pizza which is delicious too but their subs are the absolute best! You get what you pay for!!

2021-11-07They make their own bread in house. Their Subs are huge. We had pastrami, meatball and roast beef whole subs. It lasted us for dinner and lunch the next day. My pastrami sub was $16.50 & I was happy to pay it for 2 meals. They were getting busy when I picked up ours.

2019-07-20I love Marinos Pizza! It is NOT NY thin crust. Its thicker, but oh so good! You can actually taste the cheese (doesnt taste like plastic, like in other places). I could eat the pizza sauce by the spoonful (shhh... I actually do!! Lol). Best in Saratoga. This 2 top, large pie will set you back $22. Well worth it! Would feed 4 easily.

2021-11-03I always get the same thing whole American mix sub extra oil and vinegar. Last 2 times have been terrible 4 slices of meat tons of lettuce and the bread is crumbling so definitely old bread. And definitely not extra olive and vinegar but I do get charged. I just got it tonight and it was terrible so thats why Im writing. I dont think I will go there again for the price and small sub . This place was my favorite and I told everyone how great it was. I hope they go back and make food like they use to

2021-08-01We ordered subs to go for the track on Saturday. We had a Turkey bacon whole sub it could have fed 3 but 2 of us finished it. The bread was fresh and the sub was fantastic. I will be back and may try the pizza. Word was the best in town. I would not dispute it. Bring cash or they have an atm of you forget. Cash only.

2021-10-05So so good. Subs are HUGE and rolls are amazing. Service was quick. Prices reasonable. $12 for a huge sub, soda and chips. Found a new lunch spot. Yes, cash only, so be prepared.

2021-11-21I had high hopes with this being a neighborhood shop but the pizza was a total let down. It is American style pizza that in no way resembles traditional style pizza much less NY or Chicago style. It was edible but just not pizza or something I would order again. I did not try the subs because Cardona and Roma pretty much have that market locked up, maybe they are better than the pizza. A colossal let down. Pope pizza, Mama Mia and NY Pizza (Ballston Spa) are better although Venezia (Clifton Park) and Primavera (Clifton Park) remain the closest to traditional pizza. With that said none of these places use fresh mozzarella or home made sauce but they are all far better than Marinos.
