I hate to give a bad review, but there were many issues with the selling of the home. I dont think it was necessarily KW, but other agents who accessed the home. Often times the alarm was not reset, the heat was turned up (resulting in very large bills). The bathrooms were used and not cleaned (aka not flushed). Also, the home kept dropping in price in order to sell. It wasnt until myself and my sister came and fixed up the house, removed some old dated stuff and cleaned it up that it saw interest. My sister felt that it could have been shown better and it could have sold quicker. I have to agree that a womans touch was needed. As for Mark he was helpful and attentive albeit it not in a way that improved the sale of the house. He helped with me being remote, did work to help with taxes and other things that werent show aspects. That was good. Had it not been for that the star rating would have been lower. I think the lesson learned would be you have to take ownership yourself for the sale of anything. I was unable at the time so maybe I would/should have picked someone who owned it for me.

Mark gave us sage advice on what to fix and what to leave for negotiation. Our timing was not the best, listing around the end of June. We missed the spring rush and the summer was pretty quiet. We lowered the price once but then decided to hold the line. In the fall, we decided to go off market, but before we could call Mark, we got an automated request for a viewing. It turned out to be a solid offer and we never had to adjust it, even after inspections, thanks to Mark’s skillful handling of the negotiations. From listing to close was seven months, not bad in a buyer’s market. The team turned out to be the big difference in making this sale as smooth as possible. Our journey to choosing Mark Boylands team began August 8, 2008. Steve and I got engaged the day prior. We had a meeting with our realtor to look at a few condos in Oakridge located in south Salem NY. We fell in love with one property there and that was the first encounter with Mark Boyland )he represented the seller).In the 6 years we lived there; we got married and had our first daughter there. We didnt have a house. We had a home.Over that time we learned Mark Boylands name was everywhere. He sold most of the properties in Oakridge.Steve and I always said if we sell call Mark.January 2015, my husband and I learned we were expecting our second child! Two months later with the help of the lawyers and Pam we bought our forever home and one week later my better half fell ill and admitted in hospital for emergency surgery; hospitalized for 2 weeks; I kid you not; this really happened!).Today; our daughters are beautiful; healthy and growing big the baby is now walker and our three year old is a typical threenager! Steve is stronger than he has ever been and has never been so optimistic in his life!! We both strongly believe we didnt get to where we are without the help and support of Mark Boyland and the entire Keller Williams team.Mark knows Westchester and Putnam county; not just professionally but his roots are here.We learned he even lived in our complex as a child!Buying and selling homes are emotionally for some; especially someone very pregnant! I feel like after two years most agents would have given up on us, but Susan was always happy to take time to talk on the phone and work around our schedule to take us out looking. Not only did we find the house of our dreams but we made a lifelong friend in Susan. At this point i would only ever use Mark Boylands team for any real estate needs I would have. We have also already recommended close friends to Susan because we have total faith in her abilities to find the right housing fit. If my mother and father ever decide to take the plunge and move nearby, I have Susan on speed dial!
