Market 32 in other cities:
Christine the most sweet and kind customer service provider Ive ever encountered! I wish her and her family all the joys in life. I was having a super challenging day..and although I was with my little family, I always find it challenging to run market errands. This kind lady helped occupy my chaotic and busy toddler, gave her a pen...and paper...to scribble on..which made such a difference to me. I appreciate you.. and will always remember your kindness. Thank you from my heart to yours!
Ive reached the age now where I get annoyed with the grocery store for rearranging the aisles. This isnt the old familiar Westmere Chopper, this is the Golub Corporation trying so hard to imitate the style and image of Wegmans. Just pay your people like Wegmans pays their people. Aldi stays winning on price. The cashiers and baggers are super friendly.
They keep redesigning everything. I dont know if its on purpose or not but most of my time Im spending here these days is looking for the products I need rather than go in, get the stuff, and leave. Apart from that, its a very nice looking store and evens serves really nice food.
Normally, I like coming here. Today,..I stood in the deli area for good while as 5 different people bustled back and forth without even a greeting or a thanks for for your patience. When someone did help, she didnt offer a greeting or apology either AND took 17 minutes to slice only 3 things. I hesitate to mention these types of things but I was fulfilling an Instacart order and these orders are timed. I have to be in and out by a certain time. I was 15 minutes late for this order and recieved a 2 star rating for that late delivery from the customer. Please do better. You never know who is on the other side of the counter.
I had an opportunity to engage with three employees not one of them smiled or spoke to me in a pleasant manner. The store was very busy and items were picked over. When we are in Florida we shop at Publix and no matter how busy they always have two staff per checkout and the staff are very helpful. I think Price Chopper (Market 32) has lost a lot.
Now its Market 32. Liked it better as Price Chopper. Its cramped and crowded. More difficult to find things. Even the checkout area is cramped. Cant find cookies I always got on the bakery area. Things I could only find in PC, are no longer carried. More tropical fruit though. Dont even like the new baskets but at least all the wheels still work. Every time I go there are young stupid kids working the self check outs. Not rocket science.
If closing time is 10 pm , I wonder why would you close doors at 9.52 pm. I understand that you all want to go home early, but ,for some of us , the 8 minutes till 10 pm , can really make a difference. I work 14 hrs a day , and I couldve really use some coffee for my early mornings ...Plus, driving there uselessly even though schedule says 10 pm, its not fun after a long day at work .
Stopped in at 7:15am to get a handful of items. Went to check out and theres one person working and multiple people in line with full shopping carts. With only one person working and multiple people in line you would think the attendant would call for some help or a manager would realize that more lines would need to be open, nope. Just stand in line for 10 + minutes with one register open is what customers want right? You would also think that management would have the self checkout lines open for easy checkout if you only have a few items, nope, that would make to much sense. I mean why use the things you paid for to increase efficiency right? Heres a thought, have one worker in the self checkout line so that multiple people can checkout at one time and just help out the people with more items, genius! You should have seen the look on the womans face when the attendant told a woman that had 2 items the self checkout wasnt open and had to wait behind multiple people with full shopping carts just to check out. Its things like this that make me wish Wegmans would buy out PC so that we could get a decent grocery store in the area.
I dont shop here often for the following reasons. First the milk I buy at not just this but other Price choppers goes bad more quickly than milk I purchase at Hannaford. Not by a little bit, but by a lot. Price chopper is however in second place behind ShopRite in that regard. ShopRite will milk on the shelves that has only two days before date. Second the fish is really not as fresh and inferior to the customary offerings at Hannaford. Third meat prices are not particularly good and one can get a better selection at ShopRite and ShopRite seems to have incentives more frequently. Fourth, I did a real serious examination of prices and the gasoline program that they have and figured out that The higher prices you pay exactly cancel out any gain you get from discounted gasoline. It pretty much has to be that way. I guess some people enjoy having the mechanism as a forced way of putting money aside for gasoline but for me its just an inconvenience because I dont want to have to go to Sunoco all the time. So the store is not high on my list. On the other hand in spite of all my observations my wife goes there a lot. We dont argue about it. I do about half the shopping she does the other half she does it her way and I do it mine. I will say on Price choppers behalf that their vegetables tend to blow away hannafords in terms of freshness and quality. Unfortunately we dont have one store which seems to do at all. if you go to ShopRite or Price chopper youre going to get hammered on things like soda water and odds and ends that you wouldnt think would be overpriced such as pickle relish hot sauces and other things that come in jars and cans. The conversion to market 32 seems to be pushing Price chopper in the direction of whole foods and that means more of ones paycheck exactly like whole foods.
I had an incredible experience here yesterday. There was a small issue with a food order I had placed and the store team rallied to take care of me. I was very impressed at the professionalism and dedication to turn the issue around. They went well above what I should have reasonable expected.
Employees were great and store itself was fine. PriceChopper in general is missing a lot of brands (including local brands) that can be found at other stores. I can never just go to PriceChopper and get what I want. And needing the card drives me nuts... too many cards to carry.PriceChopper does have the best bakery/bread of all chains in the area.
Selection could be improved. The store cleanliness and condition of the shopping carts are lacking. There are items, particularly in the dairy isle, that are expired. I would recommend shopping at the Market 32 in Hamilton Square if you dont mind driving the extra mile or so up Western.
They actually serve you illicit drugs in the parking lot if you defeat the store manager in mortal combat. Problem is that the manager is a multi dimensional being from the 8th plane of the underworld. I used this painting I found in a shopping cart to momentarily stun it while delivering a kick which won me the duel. Now I get ketamine sent to me without leaving my climate controlled Ford Fiesta.
So close..Love the tuna sandwiches. Jeff the night manager is there in the morning and is so helpful. He restocks shelves in the milk and eggs section. If he sees me coming he will check if my cold brew coffee is on the shelf. If not he runs back to get it for me. Great customer service skills. He has dark hair and a beard.
Granted, for whatever reason, this PC is being made into a Market 32, but it is a disaster. All they have done is raise prices and create a confusing mess. Most of the workers are extremely rude and unhelpful. The woman who runs floral is miserable, and her work is not even nice. The guy in seafood is always annoyed like you’re bothering him. This store needs way more than a cosmetic makeover!!!!
Was at the store at 8:30 this morning. I am handicapped and need to use the motorized carts. I understand the store is being remodeled BUT one of the first things that should have been taken into consideration is what they were going to do when they took the electricity out of where they motorized carts are parked. This morning 2 out of 3 of these carts had no charge and who knows how long the third one was going to last. Needless to say I only got 6 items I HAD to have and got out of there before I lost the power on the cart I was using. I dont see any excuse why the electricity was taken out and not replaced in the same day. I am sure there werent so many customers shopping overnight to deplenish the power in ALL the carts. Bad planning is the only reason this could happen.
I continue to be more and more disappointed with Price Chopper in the past few years. Generally poor customer service. We spend a few months each winter in Florida. Publix markets in Florida put P.C. to shame. Stores are immaculate and I would rate their customer service and friendliness at 100%. Price Chopper is about 50% by comparison.
I used to love that store but now theyve made it into a market 32 and theyve murdered it they have made it impossible to shop there convenientlybest thing in that store is one of the grocery men in their name is John and the butcher who is Mike g hes the best butcher that Price chopper has is great this is the one at Johnson road and Western
I have stopped shopping here because they seem to have problems with their refrigeration systems and I have wound up having to return spoiled meats and moldy cheese on more than a few occasions. The stores interior is dated and dingy, and it smells like old food. I have also had to return ice cream on multiple occasions because i discovered upon opening it up when I got home that the ice cream had been thawed and re-frozen (I make my ice cream selection last when shopping and use a cooler bag when taking it the 2 minutes back to my home so I know its not me thawing it) this makes me wonder if its a bad freezer or if they just leave it out in the isle on the cart too long before putting on the shelf in the display freezer, either way this is unacceptable. This store needs to get its act together.
This is a newer version of Price Chopper and a improvement, Everything is new a total makeover, But if you came here when it was Price Chopper you have to relearn where everything is located, but the choices are more varied, more registers, the lane signs are accurate and numbered, overall a bigger cleaner Price Chopper. With more options.
I miss the old Price Chopper at corner of Johnson Road and Route 20 went to the deli took so long one person working two others in back finally someone else came out because the line was so long, they dont have fresh salads have to buy prepackaged macaroni, potatoe, pasta total turn off thinking that the Market 32 is a bad mistake on golub Corporations part.
Best Brave Frontier Bolt Maybe 2 days ago check it. Youre looking for my photo right where you sign in my followers right there and that was my former wife I put this website together free of charge 100% free dating service I have a photo on there also but I will try to get one to you as soon as I upload them you have a good evening Im not that hard to find just follow the map
Market 32 as they now call it has very fresh produce, and a wide variety of anything else you could possibly be looking for, the staff at this store is super friendly and always helpful the only complaint I have is the prices, I can shop at super Wal-Mart for half the cost.

2022-06-09Expensive- we go here only for select, quality items we cant find anywhere else, but we sometimes run into product no longer found on the shelves that we love. We dont go here as often anymore because of that and because we prefer Whole Foods for the right balance of cost and quality in most of our produce. Still, feel free to check it out, but dont go on an empty stomach because youll leave with an empty wallet.

2022-04-07Its a very nice market. They do not carry a wide selection of items like some of the larger stores, but their fruits and vegetables are far superior than Shoprite. The meat department and butcher shop is also superior than Shoprite meats. Good job guys.

2022-05-17Save your time and money and go shop at shop rite. Staff at “customer service” is extremely rude; once I heard what happened to my mom in this store I will never shop here or any price chopper/market 32 again. Not to mention, they’re grossly overpriced. They refused to give my mom the store managers name or contact information. They even refused to give the “customer service” reps name which is how you know that they knew they were in the wrong. And since they told my mom “well you can shop somewhere else,” she’s taking our whole family with her.

2022-04-21Small selection. Some attendants are wonderful, but some are incredibly rude & inappropriate. Especially to *certain kinds* of customers. We can hear you, even if you’re not talking about us, and it’s not appreciated.

2022-02-14Been visiting the pharmacy for two years and staff is fantastic. I fill a number of scripts monthly, plus pick up for an elderly parent, and Chris always goes above and beyond. Notice he seems to have a loyal following of regular customers.Got my Covid booster from a new crew member and she was lovely, too. Definitely my favorite pharmacy in the Capital District! The supermarket is nice, too, with a number of checkers, especially Anthony, being really efficient. Way better than Hamilton Square location!

2022-03-04Ever since it changed to a market 32 it seems like the staff is not as friendly or outgoing as they used to be and the department employees are just lazier and rude as all hell

2021-12-20I give Market 32 a five star rating due largely in part to the wonderful staff. Many of the staff members go out of their way to make the shopping experience positive.Admittedly, I dislike grocery shopping and find it to be stressful. Rodney is a delightful employee, who is consistently helping customers, including myself. In fact, I constantly see him in the process of helping some helpless customer.Rodney has infectious laughter, the kind of this you actually want to be infected with. Another employee named Jah is extremely polite and offers to scan items in the undercarriage of the cart. He always says hello, and have a nice day two phrases that he does not need to say but that improve the shopping experience.I go to this Market 32 because of the wonderful employees, thank you to the staff members!

2021-12-21So many items are ALWAYS out of stock. Selections are smaller since switching to Market 32. Layout of the store is the absolute worst. Parking is horrible. Hannaford and ShopRite are much better.
