My husband and I have stayed at multiple Stay Marquis properties and each time it has been hassle free. Their team was quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. They truly go above and beyond making their guests comfortable. Looking forward to my next stay with them!
I used to live in the New York area but recently moved out of the area, which made looking for a house in the Hamptons more difficult than prior years. The StayMarquis team was able to help walk me through a property over the phone, picture by picture, and organize a car service to help me get from the airport to the house! I really appreciated this level of service and they’ve earned my loyalty!
I tried to book one of their priorities through Air BnB. There was additional information that they requested including the age of the people staying at the house and our relationship to one another. I waited three days to get back to them since work picked up and unfortunately, they cancelled my stay at their property. I have no idea why not getting that information immediately would lead to the cancellation of my stay.The property I wanted to rent shows up as available for the weekend requested on their direct website and with other rental companies that the owners of the home rent their property out through, so I know that the issue wasnt the owner of the home taking the rental off the market for that weekend.When I tried to call them to remedy the situation, the first person I spoke with in Booking was incredibly rude. My next call to them was with someone from their concierge services who was much nicer but promised to call me back about the issue and never did.The properties they represent are usually represented by other companies, I recommend utilizing one of their competitors.
Irresponsible and false representation. Do not trust Stay Marquis for your rental. We booked a recent stay here, and the pictures were not what we ended up with in person. It was dirty inside and out from the party prior — no regard for COVID19 concerns prior to our arrival to ensure our safety. We should have been moved to another property and given a refund.
Tried to book a house and the owner was apparently slow to get back to them and the dates were gone. Then finally booked same house for different dates and was told 5 days later the owner changed their availability and could not honor my booking. Looked at the calendar for their property called Ocean View Oasis and my dates of travel were available but the prices increased for the same period to almost double. They offered me $200 off my next booking, which would barely cover the increase cost of that particular property for the same dates. Would not waste time to do business with them again. Also, their VRBO and Airbnb listings for the same houses have reviews stating that their stays were cancelled in some cases days before.
My family booked a property based on beach access that was across the street, no need to even drive. Get there to find out that there is no access. Long story short, I had to find a solution to get my family on the beach after spending over 17K on a week stay. We booked solely based on the factor of beach access, which we verified before and after booking multiple times. Stay Marquis fundamentally misrepresented the property. Their final response to my founded issues was At that point there was nothing that we could do to remedy this situation. Thanks for nothing.
I had the same exact experience, multiple times, as Vic M. We booked properties and then they cancelled it, and this happened to me more than once. There is no reliability or accountability in this industry. If a house is available it should be available. If it is rented, it should be pulled from the site, all sites. If I posted tickets on stub hub, I cannot sell them multiple times and then deny someone who bought them to re-sell them to another person for a higher amount. This whole industry is a racket! Dont trust any booking, b/c it can be cancelled the next day.
Absolute trash of a company. Disrespectful and will not resolve any issues. Will tell you when you check-out that all of the issues you found were your fault and then not give you your deposit back. Do not ever use this company. Be warned they advertise though VRBO as StayMarquis and Marquis Rentals. Absolutely disgusting customer service and I’m shocked they are still in business.
I have rented about a dozen privately owned properties in my life. From my experience it’s more so a matter of when then if questions / problems arise.I had a WiFi issue which stay marquis remedied virtually instantly. I also had several questions throughout my stay which were taking quickly and efficiently in stride.looking forward to using their platform again.
Frauds! We booked a vacation rental on VRBO where Stay Marquis was the “property manager”, they deducted the deposit (and added $2,700 in hidden fees). They presented themselves like a concierge but didn’t actually book our rental with the home owner. We got an email 5 days later saying our rental was rented to someone else (not even a call). We called and left 4 messages, sent 4 emails and no response. We finally got through by dialing as a property owner. Brian was there, just not responding. He was totally indifferent nor did they apologize. Told us he’d try the owner again and let us know what happened, never heard from him. Avoid!
Why would you deny somebody a refund during a time like this? Yes your policy states its rules on refunds but nobody could ever expect what has happened to the world with this virus. Most every reputable company under the sun is bending the rules and creating a new set to accommodate its clients/customers. But i guess your money hungry like a shameful handful are. People dont forget and i can honestly say i cant wait to see how youll suffer when all is said and done. We wont forget. How dareyou

2020-11-16I used StayMarquis a few months ago. The property we stayed at was great, but the company was terribly run. I’ve been waiting months to receive my security deposit and while they’ve said it will be fully refunded (after several follow-ups), I’ve only received a portion thus far. They only have a generic email address and phone number and so it is nearly impossible to get in contact with a physical person. While the property was nice and actually a great value, the headache they’ve caused after our stay is not worth it. I will not be using them again.

2020-09-22From start to finish, our experience with StayMarquis was beyond compare. From the stellar and seamless booking process, to the assistance with suggestions for local restaurants and activities, this experience was second to none. StayMarquis really stands apart from the other vacation rental sites I’ve dealt with in the past - the hands on experience and level of attention is incomparable. 2021-07-03We are currently renting a home through stay marquis and would never recommend them to anyone. They are the most unprofessional and unresponsive company we have ever dealt with. When we arrived at our home there was trash in the driveway, the hot tub and pool were not clean and many things in the home were broken. We contacted them many times and they keep saying “we are waiting on maintenance”. When we reach out, they ignore us. Still waiting for help!

2021-07-19Do not rent from the criminals! 1-star is not even deserved here. Rented a house in Southampton for two weeks and did not get what was advised at all! We tried contacting StayMarquis to report these issues, but they claimed that they were unable to help. They wouldn’t answer or return our calls!

2020-06-08I dont typically write reviews, but felt compelled after using StayMarqis. I’ve been renting in the Hamptons for the last 10 years and StayMarquis is hands down the best service I’ve ever used. Their travel team was great in helping me find a property and their concierge team had stocked the fridge before I even arrived.

2021-01-06We rented a “luxury” home from StayMarquis over Thanksgiving week 2019. The home was in disrepair, bathroom linens were DIRTY and had holes in them. We didn’t have working keys for 3 days. The ice maker and dishwasher didn’t work, the latter the obvious cause of all the dishes in the cabinets being dirty. And the response from the company was ridiculously slow and downright insulting. In the time of COVID, it was rather concerning to stay in an obviously unclean home. We thought we were paying for luxury and excellent customer service. We got neither.

2020-06-12Unfortunately, the property I originally booked through StayMarquis was not able to honor my reservation because of COVID. However, the team was extremely helpful in finding me a fantastic replacement quickly and I really appreciated their service during the process. Without them, we would have had to cancel our vacation!

2020-06-14I’ve stayed in 3 properties with StayMarquis in the past and rarely feel the need to write a review, however, this year our experience was noticeably better than we’ve had before. The concierge team was able to help plan some personal activities. I’ve always enjoyed my experience with them and look forward to seeing how they improve next!

2020-06-13Last year was my first time staying in the Hamptons and we were able to find a property through AirBnB. We had a great time and decided to return this year for memorial day and had been referred to StayMarquis. We worked with them to find a home and they were able to recommend the perfect option for us, after reviewing a few different homes. Our experience was really night and day and I’d recommend this team to anyone searching in the Hamptons!
