We have stayed at this particular Marriott prior to Covid. They’ve always been extremely accommodating to us. It was so great to see the same people were there post-pandemic! The rooms are so very clean & fresh-something that’s so very important. Everyone seems to genuinely enjoy their job. Refreshing to see in today’s day & Ave.
We had an outstanding Thanksgiving dinner at the Marriott. The turkey & salmon dinners were delicious! Jamie & Stephanie both provided us with outstanding service! They were both very courteous & professional in attending to our needs. I highly recommend dining at the Marriott on Wolf Rd in Colonie. 🍷🍽🍽🍷
My stay was very comfortable. Clean rooms and great fitness facility. The WiFi reception was horrible. Both my laptop and cellular device didn’t work while at the hotel. The staff was unresponsive. I was told tech support would come to assist. No one ever showed up. Although comfortable, my stay on the property was very unproductive.
Very helpful and friendly staff provided wonderful service. The bed was very uncomfortable; it was super soft as if it were a very old mattress. We did not have a restful night’s sleep due to the uncomfortable bed. Nice new remodeling but should have replaced all beds.
Nice, Modern-style room with great AC! A nice King size bed, full shower, sofa, and small table! Very clean! Hotel Bar/Restaurant was convenient! Staff were very helpful and accommodating! The Outdoor pool wasnt open and the Indoor Pool was reserved. But we still had a great weekend stay!
Nice comfortable room - but that’s where it ends. Everything seemed a little less than it should be Had to ask 3 times between 10 and 11:30 pm for bedding for pull out, and no one would answer the front desk phone, so I had to keep going to the desk. breakfast buffet was costly and zero attempt was made to keep fresh food at it No coffee in room You have to go the desk to ask for it Several things should have been explained at check in that were not I understand short staffing, but I expected more out of a Marriott
Ok, I have not been in every hotel there but I have been in several. And I’ve stayed in this one many, many times over the last 20 years or so. It is consistently comfortable, welcoming and filled with helpful, pleasant people. The bar and the food are both very good and the accommodations and meeting rooms are comfortable and nicely maintained. It’s my favorite place to stay in that area and I have been there more than 100 times.
This has one of the older hotels on Wolf Road. Good for conferences. Its had a decent face lift, however some wear and tear is starting to show. The room color choice is dark but the beds are comfortable and the shower was a nice size. It was fine for one night. We were not there long.
Very clean hotel with nice rooms. The staff is always very nice and friendly. I gave this 3 stars because the Marriott Van which pics up from the airport is literally falling apart! The running side board that passengers use to step in and out of the Van is barely hanging on and may soon cause someone to fall. Rusted on outside and filthy on inside. For a Marriott, Im disappointed they subject their drivers to picking up customers in such a run down van.
My trip back to my hometown was an emergency trip as my mom was declining. With being the POA I had a lot on my mind and after checking out and traveling south to visit other family before moms services I forgot my dress pants, shirts and shoes in the hotel closet. The staff not only set them aside for me but also had them cleaned by a dry cleaners for my pickup at the hotel the next day. Talk about first class service. Thank you Marriott.
Members, I highly suggest that you check the preferences in the app for the type of room that you want, such as upper level, away from an elevator, etc. it was a bummer to have to tour three rooms until I found the right one. Quiet, tucked away from an elevator and fresh smelling without a view of a brick wall. And, don’t leave without a receipt: it took a week to get one finally emailed to me.
This was not my first time at the Albany Marriot. We’ve stayed there at least 4 times before. It will probably be my last. It is outdated and upkeep is sliding. We have stayed at suite hotels nearby and I would prefer them in the future. The room was small and crowded. The table for eating at was tiny. The Wi-Fi is not free and would add a hidden fee over the room rate. The bathroom was not as clean as I would like and is getting old. The decor was ugly, especially the carpet. The refrigerator had no freezer. When they are competing with newer suite hotels it is time for them to update what they offer.
Front desk manager is snarky and mean and will generally do anything he can to avoid helping guests. He seems to genuinely dislike his job and takes his misery out on guests. Don’t expect a warm greeting or a hearty farewell, or any Bonvoy gifts to which you might be entitled. And don’t look for a late checkout or a hotel shuttle ride to a local restaurant. And don’t speak too loudly near registration, lest you be sternly scolded like a child. Other than that, the property is clean and well-maintained in a convenient location.
Clean and comfortable property close to the Albany airport. Many quality restaurants and shopping within walking distance or a short drive. This is a 4-star review if not for one aspect of my experience. My main complaint is the front desk service and commitment to guest hospitality. The front desk staff was generally unpleasant, unhelpful and - in the case of Mr. Ted Mulligan - downright nasty. Upon checking in, Mr. Mulligan shouted at a group of women in the lobby to, “Quiet down! I can barely hear myself think!” I’ve never heard someone at a reputable hotel speak to guest in such a way. Later, the shuttle driver offered to drive some members of my group to a restaurant less than 5 minutes from the hotel at 8:00 PM. Mr. Mulligan would not allow it. And finally, when I requested a late checkout until 1:00 on a Sunday, he said they would only allow late checkout to Bonvoy members at the Platinum status or above. I’ve been Gold or Platinum for almost 20 years, and have never once been denied for a late checkout. Especially on a Sunday when the hotel was a ghost town. I tried again after good old Ted had left for the day and was immediately given a 4:00 late checkout. Sadly, the last face I had to see upon checkout was Ted, who neither greeted me when I approached the front desk to checkout, nor did he once thank me for staying at this property. It was evident that Ted Mulligan’s whole mission in life is to be as unhelpful and downright unpleasant as he can possibly get away with. It is my hope that Mr. Mulligan receives appropriate training and coaching and commits himself to providing customer service at the level Marriott guests expect and deserve.
The hotel was basically fine. No complimentary coffee is a bummer. Complimentary continental breakfast is something to consider offering. Room could have been cleaner.Staff were friendly.Fitness Room was very hot and smelly. It was so awful smelling that I decided not to use it. That was a bummer.
When you go to a Marriott, you expect the best service. However, at this place, I guess I got disillusioned with the Marriott brand. First, my wait time for a room was excessive. After that, I found out that I had to pay 13 dollars for wifi per day. Can you imagine staying at a Marriott, paying so much for good service, and not even getting free wifi? Well, if you cant, you should. My room smelled terrible and there were flies in there. Moreover, the front desk was not professional at all in handling my shuttle request. Overall a bad experience, and hence the one star. Oh also, they dont have a complementary breakfast. :)
Booked a stay with a bereavement luncheon. The staff and services were excellent! My room was upgraded and comped by the awesome salesman, Steve. I was extremely happy that they were even able to accommodate for my sons food allergies. The downside of this stay was due to the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms. The shower needed repair to get hot water, the refrigerator had old food in it and mold and some of the cabinet doors were loose/falling off. We even found a dirty sock on the floor from a previous guest as well as a pistachio nut and other food crumbs.
The room is nice to the eye, bed very comfy. But the shower had to run for 10 minutes for the temperature to get above lukewarm and the maids skipped over my room so the bed did not get maid, dirty towels were not picked up, new towels were not delivered and the trash was not emptied.
I’ve been coming up to Albany NY very frequently throughout the last few years.I absolutely love how Marriott operates their hotels, almost always on point.Unfortunately this hotel is definitely one that is being abandoned. I’m not talking about customer service, the front desk representatives are always professional and very friendly.I’m talking about the condition that this hotel is in, the parking lot is filled with potholes/ damaged asphalt. (be very careful if you are driving your personal vehicle) the rooms are definitely outdated. Fortunately the area is very convenient. Nonetheless the pros do not outweigh the cons.In my most recent stay, I booked with the bomvoy app but I still got an unwelcoming intrusion from EVS. They stated that they had me as a check out for that day. Mind you I clearly booked a 3 night stay. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. I had to call ambassador service to fix the situation. They did apologize, gave me some extra points and brushed it off like nothing happened. I’m disgusted in the way ambassador service handled it.I really hope Marriott can start to remodel this hotel it’s way past due!
We went there on a family vacation, the staff was so nice and friendly, my kids felt right at home! We got rained out of our plans the first day, and the staff was so accommodating to help us plan alternate arrangements, they got us a slot at the pool, brought us crayons and paper for the kids to color, they even sent out a staff member to buy us a deck of cards to play with the kids!! they made our family vacation a huge success!!
This was my least favorite of any Marriott property I have stayed at. After 3 different stays in 3 different rooms, I noticed they were all the same type of room but had different accommodations. The first room had a broken coffee maker. Second, a broken bench that I guess doubles as the only clothing storage besides about 6 hangers in the closet. The third, had a door connecting the room next door, which was so incredibly thin that I could hear every conversation in that room. Also was missing the bench for clothing storage. Thank goodness the front desk staff was friendly.

My reservation was made when the points needed per night was 25,000 points. This was to be covered by the 2 Ecredits on my account. These Ecredits expire at the end of this year. A time when I will not be able to reuse. I did not change the reservation. The problem has been caused by your staff making changes to my reservation without my request. I only asked to have my multiple reservations tied together to avoid changing rooms and the additional need for your staff to clean the rooms. The I requested changes made by your staff has cost me 60,000 “non expiring” Bonvoy points. The solution you have provided is NOT ACCEPTABLE.The only acceptable solution would restore my 60,000 points and use the original payment method of the Ecredits on my account.Remember, this issue was caused by your staff, not me.Titanium Elite Member,-----------------------------------------From: General Manager Albany MarriottTo: Cc:Sent: Friday September 3 2021 8:51:18AMSubject: Re: Case Hello and good morning Mr. My apologies for the delay. I actually got a response back from the Marriott Desk late in the day yesterday from reaching out. Again my apologies for the delay but as I explained to you with the certificates the support for any questions such as what we were looking into we need the assistance of the Bonvoy desk, so unfortunately we are at the mercy of waiting until they can assist us.Anyway What seems to have happened as you stated is that with the discussion of merging the reservations together at the time that happened our rewards booking were at the peak therefore causing the amount of points to increase from the 25,000 per night to the 30,000 per night. Marriott rolled out last year the non peak and peak rewards usage of points of which changes the point value of the hotel depending on the demands at the time of the booking or the change of the reservation. So unfortunately that is why they increased. The I requested changes made by your staff has cost me 60,000 “non expiring” Bonvoy points. The solution you have provided is NOT ACCEPTABLE.The only acceptable solution would restore my 60,000 points.
My husband and I wanted to get a night away from home. We chose this hotel, the room was spacious loved the modern design and functions I would not mind having in my house. I did not explore, I brought my own food & drinks. I was not a fan of when I first tried to connect the internet you had to pay for it, later learned, you didn’t but by that time, I was off to bed. I would recommend this hotel to all who just want to get away for the night or a while; to think and refresh yourself.
Our room had this weir hallway thing which was a TOTAL waste of space. But the stupidest thing is that you have to PAY for the wifi. You think the least they could do if offer free wifi - most other hotels do but no…. 12.95 a DAY. Do yourself a favor and stay at a non-mariott hotel, especially if you need to get any work done. Thank goodness we are only here for one night.
Isnt up to the standards I expect from a Marriott. A bit run down and not clean, a bigger problem then usual during Covid. Of the three advertised places to eat, only the bar was open. Im sure a lack of staff contributed, but they should not advertise options that dont exist.
I was little disappointed in the fact that the gym has such limited hours, there is no breakfast included, and there is a coffee maker in the rooms but no coffee supplies. Its like they attempted to provide everything most hotels provide as free amenities, but fell short. The best this about this place is the rooms are clean.
My stay was less than impressive. With basically no housekeeping & being on the first floor, I was constantly having to go get supplies from the front desk like garbage bags & toilet paper. I had dropped off flowers at the front desk on Mother’s Day for two of my coworkers to pick up (who were also hotel guests). I had specified they’d come get them later in the day at the desk because they were both working midnights & sleeping during the day, so I didn’t want them disturbed. The front desk still delivered the flowers, waking up one coworker & delivering the other bouquet to the wrong room. I’ve also had repeated issues trying to add my stay to my Marriott rewards acct, despite the front desk telling me it was taken care of while I was still in NY. The walls are very thin & I could frequently hear my neighbors talking & singing while I was trying to sleep. The only saving grace of this hotel was the bed was comfortable & the AC worked.
We use to have assess to the coneciege level or enjoys nice breakfast but we were told we could have nothing and they put us in room 717 right next to it!!! So we are done with that hotel! We spend a lot of money on our credit card for this service but it not worth it anymore!
Breakfast was slow and disorganized; we ended up going across the street to Dunkin. Upon returning, we were rudely told that we could not sit in the largely empty dining area. Once we returned to our room, the key card didn’t work and we had to have a service staff member let us in; the manager was not sympathetic.
The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and neat, as was the room. Since I was there for only one night, to attend a funeral, my mind was a bit distracted to notice anything else. Also, the staff was very good in following safety protocols for Covid, and I had confidence that this hotel could be relied on to properly follow safety measures.
Internet doesn’t work. Videos buffer and don’t play. Their internet support number is garbage. No one answers. Correction: the number is actually disconnected. How do you expect guests to watch shows when the internet is trash. Paid $15 for the premium internet and it’s literally 0.5MBPS down and 1.2MBPS up. What a joke. It also drops about once every 30 seconds. You’d be better off with a hotspot or your data plan. FYI Verizon doesn’t work here. Rooms are nice. Staff is nice.
The room (especially the bathroom--yuck!) was dirty, there was a barking dog next door (what??), no one ever came to clean the room, and the staff were hard to get a hold of. This hotel is nothing like other Marriotts Ive stayed in. I wouldnt recommend staying here if youre traveling to the Albany area.
Our family has stayed at the Albany Marriott dozens of times over the years and it has never failed to please. However, on this stay , we were especially looking forward to relaxing bybthe outdoor pool for two days after a very tiring three week stint volunteering at a scout camp in Buffalo. Imagine our disappointment to learn the outdoor pool and surroundings were closed! We were not notified of this when making the reservation or even at check in but found out when we unpacked and went down to the pool. Our young son was especially dismayed. I only wish we had been made aware of this sooner. Plans would have been altered. Apart from that the staff and property were great as always.
I have been coming for a few times a year. We loved the area near your check in with lots of seating, roomie couches that reclined (a destressing area). A few years back you replaced the furniture throughout. Now only four can fit to chat in that huge area, consume a drink or coffee etc from the bar. There were 7 (I counted them) sitting on the floor one afternoon, Disappointing. We also dont like the seats by the dining room with the wooden wing. I understand you were trying to have a place to put a drink or write a note but Very uncomfortable. Its just not as welcoming as it once was. As for the house keeping, we found a pillow with several blood stains face down, we didnt see it right away. Areas that were out of view wasnt kept up as nice as the middle of the room. On another note, the concierge was terrific, The bus driver was the best. The staff at the front desk were friendly and professional. Pool area was as it should be. Im not giving up on Marriott, I am a member and this is rare. More training and the interior decorator needs more experience with the baby boomers, everyone likes a place to sit and we like comfort and clean rooms.
You can tell that this is not a Corporate Marriott! I saw two roaches in the room. Brought this to the attention of front desk guy who was very nice! But I have yet to hear anything back from Management! Marriott should most definitely check in to this location because it is the worst Marriott I have ever been too! Totally not up to any standards! Never again!
Great per usual for the Marriott brand. The staff were pleasant, the space was clean and organized. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. The concierge lounge had really good food and the restaraunt had lots to offer. Nice location, only a 5-8 minute shuttle ride to the airport, and the drivers are great. Certainly a place to stay when in Albany.
This is a nice hotel on a street with mutable of hotel choices. Looks newly renovated. Desk staff helpful and friendly. Not a huge fan of the on location dining. There are many dining choices on wolf road. Fitness room was good, pretty good amount of treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines and free weights. Rooms nice and very clean. Sofa bed pretty uncomfortable but king size bed was very comfortable.
My wife and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Albany Marriott. It checks off all the elements we want in a hotel. The Marriott has undergone the redesign so the facility is in great shape physically. The rooms are a good size and nicely decorated. The property has a very adequate exercise facility- in my opinion a top 10% among Marriott properties. The on premises restaurant off the lobby has very good food and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. The hotel has a shuttle that will take you to the airport and anywhere on Wolf Road which is a high quality commercial street with shopping (including Colonie Center a nice mall) and plenty of restaurant options. The front desk staff at the Marriott are very friendly and we really enjoyed Mary Ann at breakfast in the restaurant and Lisa does a great job in the lobby bar restaurant. We always stay at the Albany Marriott when we are in the area and we have tried most of the Marriott properties there before choosing the Albany Marriott as our favorite.
My wife and I like staying at the Albany Marriott because the rooms are recently remodeled to Marriotts Redesign standards. The breakfast in the restaurant is great-both food and service are excellent. The health club is one of the better ones in the at Marriotts I have stayed at. The lounge restaurant is a nice casual place for food and beverage in the evening. Food quality is great. We like the complimentary transportation to and from the airport. Proximity to shopping and other restaurants is plentiful. Great place to stay for many reasons.
Stayed here for a conference. Top of the line from ambiance, decor, and staff. Utilized room service and had a delicious meal. The staff who delivered room service was very professional. Pillows were amazing and the mattress too! Easy to access from NYS Thruway. One of the best hotels Ive stayed at in years!
We were part of a group (total 7) which included artists who were performing in Saratoga Springs that next day. The leader of our group had been granted permission by the front desk agent to bring take-out food in and use a large table at the far back of the restaurant by the Lobby. It wasnt until the 3 pick-up crew arrived back with the food that we were told by a young woman we could NOT sit inside with our own food. She said: Im the only manager on duty, (did not have a name tag nor identify herself as mgr of what?) and, you cannot bring your own food in here. And, this was AFTER the waitperson, who had come to the table and spoken to the one person holding the table, had spoken to the front desk agent, and theyd decided it was OK, just this once. BTW, the restaurant was huge, with spaced tables, and still in no danger of being close to filled. As a result of this manager not following through on the apparent mistake of the front desk agent, we were shuttled outside to the patio, where we could no longer sit together. Otherwise: the accommodations were clean and comfortable.
Stayed in this beautiful hotel for 2 nights during my official tour to Malta. Enjoyed every bit of it and would surely recommend for business travels. Rooms are well decorated and very spacious. Quit being next to elevator & ice vending machine. The staffs are nice and warm. The great addition is the food in the restaurant which kick start my day with extra energy 😍
During my stay I was in need of an HDMI cable. The front desk contacted maintenance, who quickly brought a cable up to my room, and then plugged it into the tv for me, as the jack was hard to find. The showers are the best showers in the world. Awesome pillows and a really comfortable bed. Huge television. Beautiful room and polite responsive staff. Love the Albany Marriott!
This was my first stay at the Marriot and the stay it did not disappoint. I was Awesome .The staff was friendly, informative, respectful and quick. My room was comfortable & clean. I woke up refreshed ready for my conference. The during my breaks I was able to admire the hotels décor & amenities.I would stay again and refer my friends.
The updated facility and rooms is great. They look very good and the bed is very comfortable. I must say that the food selection in the Concierge Lounge is not up to the standard that I expect at Marriott. Comparing the breakfast selection to other Marriotts the selection is rather limited.
Very terrible experience with room. You can hear through the walls, the vents were clogged with massive dust, I requested toiletries via the email system and did not get them, the food at the convention was awful the bed was uncomfortable the pool and pool area were cold, the gym was extremely warm, there were no robes or in room safes, no bellman to help with luggage. Food from CHats was wonderful but expensive. Also swim lessons going on during prime evening hours limiting space in the pool. Not up to the Marriott standards that I would expect.
Apart from the coffee in the lounge this is a great older Marriott property. Ive stayed here many times and always have good experiences. The staff are very very kind and welcoming, routinely going above and beyond. Breakfast and evening snacks are usually good and on par with other properties. The gym is decent and the hotel backs up to a series of trails and a park.
A good hotel but not quite the usual Marriott quality. The room was almost identical to the Marriott Courtyard I stayed at the night before. The staff was friendly but with minor service issues (check in not smooth, wake up call off by 5 minutes, airport shuttle request answered with it is usually available)
When we arrived at around 5pm, we were told that the double Queen room we reserved was not yet ready. However, the staff made it right by offering us a King room with a sofa bed right away. Our room was spacious and spotless.Using the Bonvoy app, we requested additional bath towels and within minutes they arrived at the door, along with linens for the fold out bed. Every staff member went out of their way to be kind to us and our kids and really offered impeccable service throughout our stay.Overall, the rate was competitive, the room was clean and very well laid out and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel is excellent, as well.We would absolutely stay here again when in the Albany area.
This used to be my favorite hotel in the area but I was quite disappointed after this last stay . The lobby is clean & classy while the rest of the hotel could use some serious renovations ! Paint is cracking & chipping everywhere , cobwebs & dust for days , the windows were filthy & the bathroom was filled with somebody else’s hair . I have always loved their concierge lounge ! NYS has been fully open for quite sometime now & masks are not required inside the hotel (in fact not a single person was masked outside of myself); but yet their concierge lounge is still fully closed . The state is open with no restrictions , the hotels restaurant is open & nobody is masked- so it baffles my mind why the concierge lounge still remains closed .
My daughter is in her senior year at Siena College and this hotel has been our place to stay every time we come up to visit. It always smells good when you enter and the service is top notch. Rooms are always clean and well appointed. We noticed that the room decor was recently changed and looks great. Bed is extremely comfortable. I have been coming to this hotel about 8-10 times per year for the last 4 years and have never had a bad stay.
The rooms were too dated, now they seemed to be renovated. Last time when I stayed water leaked through the walls for the bath above my room. It was so disgusting, when reported somebody started to look, but I checked out immediately. Most of the rooms have no mini refrigerator, if you need you got to ask that I felt ridiculous. Sometimes they offer to keep the items in the lobby. The concierge lounge is small sometimes fully packed.
The newly redesigned Albany Marriott really is very nice. The lobby, bar, and restaurant look good, the whole building looks new inside, and the public spaces are clean. My experience there was generally pretty good, but with some serious flaws. I booked a concierge level room, not knowing that the concierge lounge would be closed the whole weekend, for the entirety of my stay. So I paid 40 dollars more for my room but got nothing for it. I was told at check in that I was given a complimentary upgrade....but I really just was given the room that I booked. The tv didnt work in the room, and after a couple hours and a couple phone calls, they finally sent someone up to fix it. There were peanuts all over the floor of the room that clearly wasnt vacuumed after the last guest. Aside from those issues, the stay was alright.
Overall the Marriott is excellent. The only issues I have are:1. Dinner is only available in the bar area, the dinning room/restaurant is not open in the evening. I don’t enjoy sitting in a loud bar area to have dinner2. The prices for food are exceptionally high. I often choose to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere because of this. After a long day of meetings and networking that is generally the last thing I want to do.
I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The reservation and check-in processes went smoothly. My questions were answered efficiently. One of the persons with me had a check-in issue, and the customer service representative went over and beyond to assist my colleague with the issue resulting in a positive outcome for both parties. The hotel staff was very friendly and assisted to ensure all went well. The room was pleasant and very clean. Wifi service was okay. The hotel ambiance was very relaxing and bright. Great place!
Standard fair for a larger Marriott. Friendly and professional staff. Albany lacks options so this is a no brainer. Its a big dated in the hallways but the rooms are renovated and fresh. Bonus tip: The restaurant food is surprisingly good, to the point Id eat there before going across the street to any the nearby chains.
I was extremely pleased with the service I received at restaurant bar @ the 189 Wolfe Road Albany Marriott. I stopped by during the evening of 6/6/2019. Glad I did!! The servers Sophia and Jamie were efficient and personable. Great customer service and delcious drinks. Exactly what I needed after a long work day
I had a great stay at the Albany Marriott. The staff was very friendly and helped to switch me to another room when I had an issue with the first room I was given. The beds are very comfortable and I really enjoyed the capabilities to enter your own streaming services into the TV.
My experience at the hotel was very pleasant small adjustments to my room could be made. It is very important to me when I walk into the room that it looks polish. Staff was very nice and professional and walking into the Marriott I was greeted by gentleman very informative and helpful made me feel as though he was waiting for my arrival ,that was outstanding ! My stay was a comfortable experience to walk in and see that it was updated and had a very pleasant feel too . Thank you
The people are very helpful and the rooms are nice. The only reasons this isnt a five star review are that the maids arent very prompt (returning at 5 pm and the room hasnt been touched) and because (this is small but annoying if youre there for a week) the shower door doesnt open to the side with the towel rack and the shower floor is noticeably slanted.
The hotel has the traditional large space interior setting that holds large facilities like the reception area, meeting rooms, ball rooms and restaurant space. It has the marks of being an old hotel with a need for some touch up in renovations here and there. The meeting room we used for a book/ministry launch was very functional as the space had very good sound proofing and people movement control. The car parking space provided was good.
Our second stay here. Personal trip, hotel is super nice, clean, friendly staff. Bar area is really nice, but TVs are all on sports and there was no music playing anywhere making the hangout at the bar somewhat boring. We turned on a phones music to help, but the sound is poor from that. Needs a bit more fun atmosphere, but the place is really clean and nice, and people are friendly. Love it here.
Stayed at this Marriott for a national fraternal meeting that was taking place at the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I only wished I had booked to arrive a day or two earlier. My suite was not only clean, but it smelled clean and thats rare. The linen was nice and soft on a FIRM mattress; just how I like it! I plan on returning for a weekend get-away.
I like how the hotel was upgraded to be more modern. I did not like how the Wi-Fi would state free but then charge. Luckily the front desk fixed the issue. The hotel staff were very helpful. What I do not like and would like to have addressed is that the Hotel restaurants do not take Tax Exempt. I went with a non for profit agency and we are required to use Tax exempt on all of our purchases.
I needed to attend an event at Union College on Valentines weekend. The weather was very difficult to drive and I had to make a last minute reservation at the Marriott. Considering it was last minute and the weather was so bad, the staff was very nice, the accommodations were great. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The amenities were just what I needed especially since I was not expecting to stay at a hotel and it was last minute. The indoor parking lot was a major plus especially with all the snow. The room service food was excellent and reasonable especially since it was Valentines weekend. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Marriott and highly recommend and will use again in the future for my hotel stay.
My husband and I travel a lot, and though weve stayed at many other hotels on Wolf Road, this was our first stay at the Albany Marriott. It rates among the very nicest hotels weve ever stayed in (even those with higher star ratings). The staff were helpful and attentive, as well as friendly. The property was lovely. The room was clean, had pleasing decor, and was completely comfortable. One thing that happened that illustrates the guest-oriented nature of the staff: We purchased take-out for dinner from a nearby restaurant, and were dismayed to discover that they had not included the (plastic) cutlery or napkins we requested. We called the front desk and they quickly and cheerfully brought real silverware and cloth napkins to our room, saving the day. In the morning, we ordered room service for breakfast and selected a delivery time of 8-8:15 AM. It was delivered at 8 AM on the dot, was generous and delicious. We cant wait for out next opportunity to travel to Albany, and to stay at the Marriott again.
Rooms are nice and up to date. Bathroom has a weird configuration with the toilet but the shower is to die for and makes up for it! Lobby is spacious and open air feeling. Having two pools is awesome, especially since one is outdoors and the other is indoors. The exercise room is the largest Ive seen in a hotel this size! Its incredible! The check on staff were a bit rude but knew it and upgraded our room for free so it must have just been a bad day! Really nothing included with the room (no breakfast or other) but we did get freeze pop Friday which was really nice!
Stayed one week-end night with two teenagers. Very quiet, clean and comfortable hotel with helpful, professional and friendly staff. We were in a newly renovated room that was spacious and adequate for our stay. The real strength of this property is the staff. Even one of the teenagers remarked that Marriott hires the nicest people.
I fully expected my room to be cleaned daily. One of the reasons I like hotels is for the relaxation and the fact that we dont have to do current things myself. I love the Marriot I wouldnt stay any place else but guys get it together. The small things are very important and they really count.
We stayed one night, the room was so clean, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower was enjoyable. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff, they all were so accommodating and helpful. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. Thank you Albany Marriott!
Issues started at check in. Took me 20 min at check in with the desk trying to figure out what happened to my reservation. Even tho I was already checked in they had no record of me coming. That led to my wife and I being put in the ADA room. I am 65, the ADA room is not comfortable for me. The room had a smell and the AC condenser did not work. When the machine kicked on it rattled throughout the night waking us. The next day I called maintenance who came by and explained although the hotel was sold out he was the only one on call. That repair took hours. Finally the worst of it on Saturday night at 1145pm the front desk decided to call our room for no reason to see if we were staying the night. By far the rudest wake up call imaginable. I confronted the desk the next morning and no one had any answers just threw points at us. One of the worst stays Ive had at a Marriott.
My wife and I really enjoy staying at the Albany Marriott. The rooms are updated to Marriotts new design and color scheme. The team there is so friendly-Allyanna at the front desk, Lisa in Chats Lounge off the lobby, Mary Ann at breakfast in the Restaurant. The facility has a great fitness center-better than most Marriotts, indoor and outdoor pool and the food in the restaurants is good and reasonable. The shuttle service at the hotel will bring you to and from the airport and anywhere on Wolfe Road which has nearly every chain restaurant and a mall for shopping.
We had a lovely one-night getaway here earlier this month (June 2017.) Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is extremely accommodating. We had breakfast the next morning in The Market. Sherry was our waitress and she did a beautiful job. She was on the spot with anything we asked for.
We stayed three nights. The room ambiance was pleasant. There was no microwave in the room or made available in the hotel. The refrigerator noise kept us up all night. Adjacent rooms make the noise from other guests, intolerable. We had to knock on the adjacent door at 2:30 am for them to lower the noise. Generally, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The cleaning woman, Merita was excellent. Continental breakfast would have been nice.
I was traveling with my DeafBlind Daughter and the staff couldnt do enough to assist with our needed accommodations...A special shout out to Joanne and the Chef at the dining room...excellent customer service. The rooms were fresh and clean and unlike other places the airconditioner was quitet! We attended a conference there and the staff in the conference coudnt do enough either..Congrats to the Administration of this site. I have stayed in othe Mariotts and this is the top of my list!
I would not recommend staying at this establishment. Not only is rather hard to figure your way around things, but you also have to jump through hoops that shouldnt be necessary in order to get charged correctly. Also, most hotels have a microwave this place does not. The beds are one of the least comfortable beds I have slept in. If a person has a choice pick another place.
I am a Platinum Premier member so I can evaluate this Marriott against many in the system. It was redesigned recently and they did a very nice job. The room is well done and very functional. Their desk wall has more storage than most, ample plug-ins, a refrigerator, a luggage storage bench and a full length mirror. Their fitness center will satisfy almost anyone-better than the vast majority of Marriotts. There breakfast restaurant offers one of the better breakfasts, especially in the restaurant. There servers are very friendly especially Maryann. The restaurant off the front desk is reasonably priced and the food is good. They offer transportation to and from the airport and allow you to park there while you are gone. They are conveniently located to many restaurants, some within walking distance. They are also close to one of Albanys two large shopping malls.
Ive stayed here a few times. Ive had really clean rooms and not so clean rooms. The front desk people are SUPER nice though. Breakfast is always really good as far as hotel breakfasts go. Eggs sausage, toast, bagels, english muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, OJ, Apple juice. No waffles though.
Newly remodeled property near the airport with free covered parking. It snowed 6-8 inches while I was in town so the free covered garage was great, my business was near the airport so the location was very convenient. As a gold member I was received free access to the lounge which was great for breakfast and evening snacks. The fitness center was large with ample equipment options. The indoor pool was closed for repairs but it looked nice.
Easy check in and out, room was ready and very clean. Housekeeping was exceptional. My only complaint would be the cost of adult beverages in the lounge/bar area. It would seem that in the middle of winter, with a captive audience, so to speak, that beverage prices would not exceed the prices of most major US Cities. However, if that is the going rate for all Marriott Hotels, I guess it is consistent.
We stayed at The Marriott, Albany NY, during the 2015 holiday season and found the staff and hotel very satisfactory. Hotel is very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helped immediately with any request. The only negative thing was that the pool was not heated due to a heating issue, but I used it regardless.Fitness facility is above average, well equipped and with lots of extras to make your workout fun.I went with kids and would go there again, in hopes that the pool will be heated. Overall a great stay.
The hotel is close to the Airport with easy access to the interstate. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is professional and friendly. The hotel food is excellent and reasonable priced. There are many other dinning options available including fast food, national chains, and local establishments. Some within walking distant.PS: The age range posted in the summary is not correct.
The new years eve party was amazing. The entertainment was outstanding, they guys and girls in the band were spot on! Vocals, back ups, dancers and instruments...fantastic. We loved it! Dinner and breakfast were very very good. Staff was friendly and helpful the entire time we were there...The rooms to notch! We had do much fun and we will be back next year. Happy new year
I feel the staff of Herman at the front desk and Lisa at the restaurants service was definitely a ten. The menu was limited and the food adequate but not overwhelming. It would help to have a slighter healthier option and basic bar snacks like nuts or snack mix even if you have to pay a modest fee. Even though I was celebrating my 50th and the staff was advised, a little disappointing with no complimentary cake.
Overall a nice comfortable and restful stay. Hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. Meeting rooms are very nice. Went to dinner away from hotel I think I would have had a better experience at the Marriott. This was an overnighter so I didnt get to enjoy the other services.
Easy access to the airport and points of interest in the Capitol District and Adirondack areas makes this Marriott a great location. While its an older property, youd not know it. Its well maintained and has all the modern amenities. The staff is dedicated to making you feel at home, and the rooms, while not overly spacious, are more than adequate in size. I recommend it for business or leisure travel.
Make sure you make a reservation and check-in at the correct Marriott - there is another Marriott directly across the street. The good - the beds were extremely comfortable, the toiletries smell amazing, Issues - the catered hotel food for the conference I attended wasnt all that great (bagels were stale, salad was brown), the bathroom set up is awkward but manageable, it sounded like someone was playing basketball and then drilling through our ceiling for a few hours around dinnertime (no, we didnt report this), our room was directly in front of the elevator so hallway conversations were noisy, and it looked like the room was hastily constructed because tiles were lose, the shower door was crooked, and the towel bar didnt stay attached to the wall. All little things that wouldnt stop me from coming back for another conference here if I had to.good and bad - the thermostat was touchy - went from hot to cold with a single degree change - and very quiet, so if you need white noise to sleep, bring a fan.also.... the Other Marriott had free cookies....
Staff was wonderful!Room was filthy, room service food was cold and had major plumbing issues the last morning before my departure, couldnt even shower due to garbage coming up through the drain. Shared my concern politely at check-out... Terrible!I was there for a meeting and when I return for more events I will stay elsewhere. I am a Marriott rewards members and have always enjoyed staying in Marriott and will continue to do so. Just not at this hotel.
This hotel has everything and has thought of everything to make your stay just what your looking for with the exception of the layout in the bathrooms. Wasnt very well thought out. Everything else was excellent. The bathroom though might be enough for me to look elsewhere. Truely a wonderful staff and very customer focused. Clean and comfortable.
Awesome hotel. Located near every restaurant you can think of. Hotel food and drinks are delicious. The bedding in the rooms are unbelievably comfortable. Gym and pools are beautiful. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Parking is very good. Everything about this hotel is wonderful. ♡
Amazing night sleep! Outstanding service by hotel staff at every turn! All of the I’s are dotted and T‘s are crossed here!!!This hotel has the most amazing gym I have ever worked out at in a hotel! It made my stay there even more amazing! I had a perfect night sleep every single night! I can’t speak highly enough which is why I keep coming back! Thank you so much for everything!
The redesign really looks great, and the public areas are very nice. The TV in my room didnt work and required quite a bit of effort to get it up and running. Room wasnt very clean, peanuts on carpet. Concierge lounge was closed the whole time, but I still paid extra for a concierge level room.
Had a great stay at the Albany Marriott, conveniently located near the airport, shopping and major highways. The lobby was spacious. My room was clean, comfortable and updated. The staff were accommodating and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to families, business travelers and couples alike.
Great example of an aging Marriott given new life with a recent renovation. Ive stayed here in the past, before the renovation, and vowed never to come back, but Ill change my tune now that most of the property has been renovated. The rooms use Marriotts updated sea of grays theme, and while the updates arent flawless by shy means, the rooms are comfortable, and the beds restful. The climate control works quite well (a rarity for old Marriott properties), but the concierge lounge is still stuck in the old days.Still, Ill definitely be back next time Im in the area!
Overall very good hotel with a lot of rooms and space. Walking distances to many restaurants which are close by and a Dunkin Donuts. The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly which made the stay pleasurable. Also there is both a indoor and outdoor pool as well as an excellent gym. Well worth the stay
Hotel is clean and has all the amenities of a traveller will need and look for EXCEPT the food in the restaurant did not do well as the hotel. I ordered a Calamari, Salad and Soup! Calamari was very soggy, oily and greasy with a lot of breading not much squid. Soup was stale and could tell it was leftover and Salad was not fresh. Very disappointed for the price I have to pay. Hopefully Management will check their kitchen since it is not living with the Marriot Standards.
The Mariott is a very nice hotel with large, comfortable rooms. Because it is a large facility, there is a lot of walking to get from the guest rooms to the meeting rooms. We have a number of elderly women in our group and some of them have to stop and rest while making the long journey to some of the meeting rooms on the far side. The hotel management has done an adequate job of placing chairs here and there to accommodate those issues.
Everything during my stay was absolutely fine. The staff and housekeeping were attentive and did a great job. I would have rated my stay higher with the exception of the dining room and bar area. Both times I ate in the dining room the food was served cold. In the bar the it appeared they needed more help. The bartender was running the coffee area /serving food/ and making drinks. This made waiting for service slightly trying.
Weve had several occasions to stay at this Marriott when flying out of the Albany airport. Each time, the experience was superb! All staff members go out of their way to make sure that every possible need is taken care of, from answering questions to making sure shuttles get you to the airport without any problems. The hotel is always extremely clean & has a wonderful atmosphere, and the restaurant and lounge are exceptional! We always look forward to our stays here.
My stay was from October 17-19th. It was a very comfortable stay. The staff was great. They always said hello and were always friendly. My room was very comfortable and I liked the colors of the grays and whites. I would recommend a stay here to friends and family for sure.
My stay at the Albany Marriott was a mixed bag. It is clear that the Albany Marriott is trying to impress with the newly designed bar and lounge area. These features were visually appealing. Some of the service attendants were cordial and did their job diligently, this included some members of the front desk, the airport shuttle drivers, room service attendants, and the cleaning staff. Overall, the staff lost some marks on professionalism, often carrying on personal conversations in front of guests, being loud in hallways, and rude on the phone. The conference facilities were acceptable for small conferences, but lacked the extras that make conferences easy: universal wi-fi access, multiple bathroom locations, dedicated lounge areas, and smart-systems for presentations. The quality of the food was typical, nothing notable. My room itself was in need of repair. It appeared clean, but the carpets and furniture show their age. The setup of the room was sufficient with an older-model extending desk for work, two double beds, a chair for relaxing, a television, and out-dated dresser and nightstand, a separate sink, and a shower/tub combo in a room with the toilet. My shower/tub combo faucet was broken making taking a bath or a shower impossible. Instead I took a shower with water streaming from the faucet as well - unable to get either to work independently or get the tub stopper to prevent water from disappearing down the drain. After going to bed on the first night and hearing gurgling sounds after neighbors showered or flushed, I awoke to find water had backed up into my tub/shower that didnt result from my washing. Needless to say, I took no more showers or baths during the rest of my stay.I asked for an in-room refrigerator and was made to feel like I was inconveniencing the staff.
A great place for business meetings. It should have an indoor hot tub near to the indoor pool and they should give you mouthwash in the room as one of the amenities without asking for it at the front desk. But the rooms are newly redone and contemporary and quite comfortable. Their led lights can flicker which can be a bit annoying and the offerings at off peak hours in the concierge lounge is totally lacking but on the whole its a great value for the money.
An amazing hotel, huge, and many amenities. A great place to stay. Rooms are modern and well kept. Staff are very mannerly, courteous and professional. The bar is open late and restaurant offers ease of eating inside. Love the place. Stayed there a few times. Highly recommended.
This hotel was recently updated with the new Marriott Redesigned image which means new paint, carpet and furniture. Bathtubs have been replaced with a shower feature.Bathrooms are small and the toilet is low. Shower and toilet are separated from the sink area by a doorway. Storage are is ample with draws and closet. This hotel has extensive meeting and public room area so at times parking may be tight. There is a small concierge lounge open only during weekdays.Close to Albany Airport and right under the flight paths so noise may trouble some guests. The general area has many chain restaurants, close to many offices of industry, state government, and research. Area is also being developed with several new hotels including Marriott Courtyard, and Residence Inns.In other words pay your money and take your choice.
Exceptional staff who do care about you as a guest. This property is undergoing renovations which leaves a number of items to be desired. Disappointed the concierge lounge wasnt open due to renovations but the staff did their best to accommodate patrons on the ground floor. We were placed in an accessible room which had some Un-Marriott quality issues.
I visited the Marriot last week for a function. I did not stay there, so I cannot review that. The banquet room was very cold & my group kept complaining how cold we were. The waitstaff kept bringing appetizers out. The presitation was nice (white gloves, platter of food in 1 hand, napkins in the other), the food on the other hand was not good. Basically, it tasted like (and may as well have been) appetizers from the frozen food section of a local grocery store. We had a buffet meal which was not much better. I would have expected much better from the Marriott
Not the best Marriott by far but generally friendly people. I wan not able to get breakfast certs for Sunday breakfast, even though I am lifetime Gold Elite. I found that inconsistent with other Marriott properties in the US. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and that should not happen in a Marriott. Was offered free water bottles upon late check-in after a 15 hour travel day though we did not accept as we had water from the plane. Breakfast room service was fast and tasty but forget our second orange juice. Good for a quick night near the airport with a free shuttle and free parking.
As always the staff are nice but the hotel is always behind in quality. I have been here 3x in last 4 months and each time something is wrong with my room. This last trip my bathroom floor grout looks as if feces has hardened within it. Additionally my room has no refrigerator in it unlike everyone else and I had an AC unit that would intermittently produce a loud clatter. A lot of work needs to be done here for quality checks.
Stayed one night Friday, took 45 minutes to check in because they couldnt find the reservation made through a third party even though I printed it and handed to them. Then they said it was all set gave us our room keys and five days later I get double billed. The front desk manager Sarah said she couldnt do anything to help referred it to accounting which no one answered the phone there. I will never stay at a Marriot ever again, have never had this problem at a Hilton Hotel.
This is a nice clean Marriott (arent they all?) thats great when you dont have business in downtown Albany. Easy access to all of the major highways and lots of stuff nearby for dinners and shopping. The facilities are all very nice and the hotel bar and restaurants are clean with good service. Finally, the front desk staff are great, helping with any things that you need, whether its setting up transportation or helping you find things in the area.
Staff is friendly and helpful in particular the cleaning staff who were always great. Rooms are updated and really nice. I was alittle disappointed with the concierge lounge size and food available. It was also locked after 10 PM which didnt allow me to grab some waters as Im usually accustomed to in other full Service Marriotts. Restsurant staff is very nice but food is average.
Stayed at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Rd. Nice hotel with large bar/lounge area. Rooms were adequate but not that spacious. Lots to do around the hotel area. Definitely good location for shopping and dinning. Beds were comfortable and we ordered room service for dessert which was quick and easy. I would recommend this hotel.
I have been coming to Albany to work for over 20 years and the majority of those trips I have stayed and sometimes stayed and worked in this hotel. I find it comfortable and pleasant and well situated. The staff is friendly in the extreme and always willing to answer questions or take care of requests. The site is pleasant and the bar always friendly and cheerful. The completion of the new back road system that allows you to get to the mall without fighting the lights on Wolf Road has been a welcome addition as well. Parking spots are plentiful and their are charming areas to walk to and from in the vicinity.
Room and hospitality was perfect. My name was on my flat screen t.v. with a welcome and I swear the front desk had an elevator button hidden under there station somewhere because every time I walked in I was greeted and by time I made it down the hall to the elevator it was sitting waiting, open for me. Pool inside small no hot tub. Bar very pretty and clean nice atmosphere. Overall great stay!
My only complaint was with the bad odor at the Coffee/Bar Lounge area. They were having a plumbing issue and politely told us about it but it was quite bad! I could not even walk by without feeling like I was going to throw up! I was attending a 3 day conference and the problem was not fixed the whole time I was there. The rest of my experience was great! Clean rooms, comfortable bed, and very friendly staff!
We love staying at the Marriott on Wolf Road and come there regularly just for a weekend getaway. It is convenient to lots of great restaurants and shopping. The rooms are very nice, fitness room is well equipped and the staff is friendly. You cant beat it for overall value!
Attended two day event in conference. HVAC system initially had a little trouble keeping temperature controlled in smallest partitioned rooms. However, staff was great about supporting adjustments and spectacular in assisting with any technology equipment issues. Good service and pleasant staff.
The staff was great! The room was clean, house keeping was on point. The material condition of the room was really lacking. The room door would not self close. On top of that, you had to push it shut to get it to correctly latch. The security latch was loose, and would not have served its designed purpose. Both towel bars were loose. The one by the sink came off when I took off the hand towel. Closet door was a wreck. For a top teir room this was a let down. Lastly, there was no option for a high speed wired internet connection.
Albany Marriott is conviniently located, near restaurants, the airport and the Colonie Mall. They offer complementary shuttles services. Great hotel for business travelers, conventions, and families. The hotel is going under renovations, the bathrooms were just recently renovated and they are very modern and stylish. The rooms are going to be renovated soon with new design and furniture, I cant wait to return to the hotel to see the phase II done. I will highly recommend the hotel, for the great service, location, and amenities. It is also located near the Crossings which is nice walking area, if you like to exercise.
I really liked the room but the one thing I would change it the closet doors and the windows. The closet doors are kind of hard to open and the freaked me out at first. The windows and small and dont bring as much light in. I love how you have a indoor and outdoor pool. I really think they should add breakfast because that is the one thing I always like in a hotel is them severing a variety of things for breakfast.
The staff at the Albany Marriott were most accommodating and helpful during our stay for a conference. It happened to take place during a major snowstorm and the hotel staff made extra efforts to make meals easy, creating a special buffet to minimize trips outside. They also helped with digging us out when the conference finished. Everyone was pleasant and helpful during what could have been a trying time.
Everyone was very nice, but I found the hotel rooms and especially the gym a bit dirty and dusty. I found food crumbs and wrappers next to the night stand/under the bed. The window sills and blinds in the gym hadnt been cleaned in it looks like years. There were even broken wine glasses put out in the executive lounge. If people paid attention and took pride in their jobs, those things would be noticed by the staff.I had engineering problems too (TV and Shower door didnt work properly)
The hotel was located in Albany. Our group attended a conference held in one of the several conference rooms. It was large enough to accommodate all of the attendees, well lit and generally accessible. A little difficult getting around others at the lines of tables. Lunch was served, but less interesting than I anticipated. The coffee and snacks were good.
Check-in was great and counter staff was friendly1st room assignment - New Heater in room was not working - Stuff happensDesk person was gracious and quickly provided an upgraded room2nd room assignment - Door difficult to close, Bathroom was not clean. Used soap, towels and shampoo from last guest was still on counters and in shower. Remaining clean towels in bathroom looked soiled & old.Bathroom faucet was so cheap, it leaked on the hot side when you turned on the cold sideBar/Restaurant - After waiting an appropriate time, I went out to a restaurant on Wolff road
The Albany Marriott is centrally located, lots of shops & food nearby. Free parking, always a plus. Nice grounds, clean well-kept common areas and rooms, comfortable bed, AC that worked well. Staff was friendly & pleasant. We had breakfast at the restaurant buffet in the morning, food was great, staff was great. Would definitely stay here again!
Was great! I enjoyed my stay very much..I liked the area where you are located..the rooms were very nice and clean... I slept great... some of the Conference areas were good and others seemed to small for the people that wanted to attend...had to bring in more chairs then it got to crowded. other then this, it was a good stay!
I spend a considerable amount of time in Albany & my go-to hotel is the Albany Marriott. The Albany Marriott staff, from sales to check-in to servers/banquets are the best- friendly, efficient and accommodating. My hotel room is always clean - housekeeping staff are always pleasant and helpful. The hotel is lovely - it’s just been updated. Great location & easy to get to.

2021-12-31We attended for the Chess tournaments and it’s very pleasant experience. Rooms are clean and spacious enough, bathrooms also very good, big shower. Everything is clean. Beds are comfortable. Stuff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent location everything is very close, all shops and lots of restaurants around. They also have a inside pool that we unfortunately didn’t have a time to visit but it was looking nice 👍🏽

2022-05-26The staff was awesome. Bar, front desk, and lounge people were all great. My room was dated, but thats OK, because the location was perfect for where I was working in Albany. The reason they lose stars for me, is that the room smelled like smoke and the scent that hotels and Uber drivers use to cover the smell of smoke. Its really more annoying because the hotel confirmation info in the app has a very convincing green check icon that the room is guaranteed smoke free.

2022-05-17The hotel was in a location with plenty of restaurants and dunkins/Starbucks. The hotel staff was very pleasant and kind. The lobby and lounge area was updated and great to hang with teammates, get something to eat and just relax. The rooms are clean, big, beds were comfy and ac worked great! The hotel hallways, rooms, outlets and especially the bathrooms need some modernizing, as they were a little outdated.

2022-03-20This is a decent hotel but unfortunately not one I would likely return to in the future. While the rooms look to be recently remodeled, I found the bed to be pretty uncomfortable.Noise is one of the biggest things that can ruin a hotel stay for me, and unfortunately at this property hallway noise was frequent, excessive, and loud. The room doors offer essentially zero soundproofing so you hear every footstep walking past, as well as groups of young children running around. There are several other hotels in the Albany Airport area that can offer a restful night sleep without noise disruptions.

2022-05-14Convenient location- nice staff. Our room was not cleaned after first night. When I called down at 2 pm to ask why the room had not been cleaned I was told that there was a banquet and they could not clean the room. We requested that the room be cleaned when we checked in. Even after calling Nd asking- our room was not cleaned. There are a ton of hotels around- Choose on that cleans the rooms.

2022-02-26Room seemed a bit small for having a king sized bed. No breakfast included with room, not even a continental breakfast. Since there are other hotels in the area that offer more amenities for the same price I would recommend going elsewhere.

2022-06-22Looks like it used to be very nice. The rooms are not bad but mine smells like feet. The staff is very friendly. Not much to do in the immediate area. Convenient to the airport.

2022-03-20Clean and comfortable. Quite stay. Accommodated same day booking. Good breakfast. Missing some attention to details.. broken tiolet on arrival as if the water line was disconnected and empty shower toiletries. Shortly staffed.

2022-01-03It was one of the most unwelcoming Marriott I’ve stayed in, also I was uncomfortable the room wasn’t fully cleaned there was someones mask left in the room. When I checked in I wasn’t told when breakfast, checkout, and pool hours were. I felt very out of place, I completely don’t recommend this Marriott.

2021-12-27The bed and mattress killed the whole experience during our stay. The bed surface is very smooth such that mattress can easily move around. We had to move the mattress back to place occasionally. The mattress itself is very soft and caused back pains for both me and my wife. We called the front desk asking for a different mattress/room and was told that the whole hotel has the same mattress.
