The guys at Mars are very helpful and polite, this is the place you want to go when you need parts for old muscle and classic cars, they will go out of their way to find it for you. If cant find it in earth you will find it in Mars. Thanks MARS.
Knowledge, friendly, and helpful counter staff. There arent many places like this left. Walked in at 9am on a SUNDAY with a busted power steering hoses for a 55 Olds. They were able to fab up new hoses right there and then. Had them on the car and was driving around less than an hour later.
I had purchased an electrical part from them. Needless to say I picked up the wrong part number & it would not work for my application. I bolted it on to test it. I tried to return it for the correct part or even a credit. The sales person would not take it back & said they could not do anything because it was used. I have never run into this before. They said even if I bought it and walk out the store and came right back because I decided I did not need it, they would not take it back. Very unsatisfied customer. I have purchased other items from them but this is the last time I will do business with them again. DO NOT BUY ELECTRICAL PARTS FROM THEM!!!
These fellas finally ended my search for a place that can properly duplicate a key. Home Depot and Lowes both struck out for me. Great experience overall.
This store is almost historical in Bayshore if youre looking for a hard to find part for your old car this is the first place you should go for it and the best advice this guy is like Yoda when it comes to car parts

Called And Asked For The Throttle Position Sensor Mounting Hardware, The Gentleman That Answered The Phone Was Very Familiar With The Hardware Needed And Told Me To Come Down To Match The Screws .. I Thought I Had Hit The Jackpot.. Boy Was I Mistaken, When I Get There The Guy Behind The Counter Treated Me Like I Crapped In His Lunchbox. Asked How Much A New Throttle Position Sensor Was He Told Me $400.00 When I Told Him That I Had Just Bought One For Around $125.00 His Story Changed And Told Me That He Can Get Me One For $125.00 Asked Him A Lead Time For That Part He Couldnt Answer That Either.. There Used To Be A Saying If You Cant Find It On Earth Look For It At Mars .. Those Days Seem To Be Over .. Ive Gotten Better Service From Parts Authority And That Is Downright Sad ..

2022-05-26Frank went above and beyond. Im injured and having trouble walking, he helped me to the car and carried my parts for me. These guys are always very helpful. If you have a older car they have your parts.

2022-02-22They wouldnt press a bearing and hub for me because I didnt buy the bearing from them. I had all parts out and cleaned. Steering knuckle and hub are used. Only new part was a wheel bearing which I had laying around for a while. They wouldnt press the it because I didnt buybthe bearing from them. After 20 years of buying parts from them. Not any more. Thanks for the help

2020-07-14Best auto parts store in Long Island. Ive been going there since I was 18 and wrenching on cars ever since. Im 50 now, and the place hasnt changed a bit! Great guys, very knowledgeable and helpful. If you need help with anything on vintage cars (and even new), this is your place. No pimple faced little kids that only know whats on a computer. These guys have the books, the experience and the hard to find parts youre looking for. A family run business, the way its supposed to be. Josephine says a big Thank you!

2020-10-15Ive been coming to Mars since highschool, 79. Ive recently purchased Drums, wheel cylinders, brakes, bearings, shocks etc. For a 1968 Dodge Coronet wagon, they had almost everything in stock! I always get the right parts the first time! Frank and the rest of the guys are great to deal with. Its a pleasure to go to a auto store that knows what they are talking about. Love this place, check it out for yourself, old school service!👍🏻🇺🇸🙂

2016-12-31These are the experts. Ive used their parts for every major job on my car and boat and I always learn something new from them. They will always have the part you need and they will tell you valuable tips and tricks to make the repair go easier. When I was doing my brakes, a bolt was stuck and Richie told me to bring the car down and he used heat to get it out. Quality parts as well.

2020-08-29Dave is awesome and very knowledge! Needed two separate high pressure steering lines joined. He was able to make a flare and union. Done very quickly. Dont see too many of these types of stores around here anymore.

2018-06-03Not many places like this shop around anymore. Old time set up with old time gear heads behind the counter, able to answer any question. I always choose the local guy over the big box shops anyway but these guys deserved a positive rating. So the ya go boys credit where it is due, good job.
