Marygold Manor has it all. It is a one stop shop for all your wedding ceremony and reception needs. We booked Marygold Manor as it had many of the things we wanted included in different packages they offered. We choose the Ultimate Package offered by James and Jeremy Urbanski and we didnt regret it. First and foremost, Marygold Manor is a family run business that truly care about everyone who walks through their doors and its hard to find service like that. James and Jeremy tell it like it is and they do not disappoint. They told us when our wedding day comes, it will be everything we wanted and more. They held true to their word. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was electrifying, and the service was top notch. They handle everything in the packages, James and Jeremy are truly hands on throughout the entire process. It lifted a weight off our shoulders allowing us to focus on other aspects of our wedding. The value of the package we choose was worth every penny we spent to include the open bar which when they tell you it is top shelf, it is top shelf and nothing we drank felt watered down. James was the minister for our ceremony and did an amazing job with that. He was very flexible and made us feel like family the whole way through. Our photographer, Bruce who was included in the package, did an amazing job and has a great personality. He kept everything fresh and smiles on everyones faces. He was also very accommodating and we truly felt he was there for us and not just there because he had to be. Wed book him for future events in a heartbeat. Thank you James, Jeremy, Bruce, and everyone else involved with our special day. You have earned our future business and we will definitely be recommending Marygold Manor to everyone we know.Mr. and Mrs. Eric Velazquez
Marygold Manor did so much to help make our wedding beautiful! The food was top notch, and the facilities were stunning. The Urbanskis were very easy to work with, and that made it very simple for us to plan our wedding. The elegance of the reflections room brought the evening to life! We loved having access to the room the week leading up to the wedding, that made planning and preparation a breeze. We are so thankful that they worked with us to create a wedding that was just what we wanted! We loved being able to choose our own music for the ceremony, and we appreciated their willingness to help us have an outdoor wedding, even with a chance of rain! Speaking of the outdoor ceremony, the setup was absolutely beautiful, and James did a lovely job with the ceremony. We also loved being able to get a fantastic cake through your vendor. The vegan and children’s meal options made it friendly for our guests with dietary restrictions, and they looked amazing too! Even though we went to a park nearby for some of our photos, we loved utilizing their outdoor bridge for some family photos. The fact that they included table decorations, lights, and linens, made our planning so much easier. The bartender was great, and kept everyone happy with delicious drinks. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Marygold Manor, and we are very thankful for all of their help with our special day!
I’ve been looking forward to writing this review for so long. Jeremy is honestly the most genuine person I have ever met. He really goes above and beyond to make sure the brides needs are met. My original wedding date was May 2nd 2020, due to the pandemic we made arrangements to change it to October 16th 2020. I’ve been planning this wedding since the beginning of 2019, If I ever had a question or concern about anything I always left those phones calls feeling a lot better and confident. I have so much positivity to say about my experience, I know I won’t be able to fit it all in one review. My wedding day was literally a dream come true and it’s all thanks to Jeremy!! All those extra efforts I noticed during my wedding day didn’t go unnoticed...the walking out song he played after the ceremony was literally perfect, even though he wasn’t our photographer he still captured a few photos, he was the perfect DJ, had a heart shaped bowl with cocktail hour food we missed due to being gone for photos and checked up on us during dinner. Speaking of the dinner WOW the food was amazing and really impressed our guests!! Everyone really had such a fun time and so happy I got the perfect wedding. I feel extremely lucky for choosing Marygold Manor, I couldn’t have pictured my wedding any other way. I really can’t thank Jeremy enough for going the extra mile to make me happy!I highly recommend this wedding venue to anyone and I hope this review helps a bride out there who is considering hiring them for an event, I promise you won’t regret it.
We did a co-ed cocktail party in the Kensington Room for my daughter and her fiances wedding shower. It was everything we could have hoped for! From our first visit, through the planning process, and through the whole event, they made everything so easy. Jeremy was extremely helpful in answering any questions we had and making sure that we had everything we could have needed or wanted to make the evening perfect. The food was delicious and the chocolate fountain was a HUGE hit. I just cant say enough about the great experience we had working with everyone at this venue!
Signed my contract today. They truly have packages that all you need to do is show up. Took so much stress away. Cant wait to work with them to have our perfect day. The newbie m place is gorgeous and Jeremy is so helpful. Looking forward to getting all the details sorted.
I attended a wedding recently (Sept. 2020) and there was about 200 people in just the room we were in and there were two other events going on as well. Since we are in a pandemic, a large gathering like that is frowned upon. There was also a buffet where many people shared the same utensils. There was absolutely no social distancing, mask usage was not enforced, and the tables were not 6 feet apart. Therefore I was very disappointed in this establishment.
During this crazy time called COVID-19, I stumbled upon Marygold Manor after canceling my original venue at Salvatores Hospitality. Jeremy was far more responsive and understanding over everything then our original venue. We did the Micro-wedding package which included everything, we just provided our flowers and our officiant-which they had one, we just wanted to make our day more personal. The food was amazing, and so was the cake. Jeremy answered every question I had and calmed me down during a time of panic. Weddings are stressful enough-adding a pandemic on top that just makes you want to pull your hair out. Jeremy made everything so less stressful. We had a small wedding of only 24 people and were in the Patio room. We loved having such a small intimate wedding and it felt more personal having it be so small. We were so worried about everything but Jeremy was definitely so helpful and helped relieve a lot of the stress. I definitely recommend them to anyone whos looking to get married. Our wedding day was 09/12/2020
I went to a wedding here and had a blast. The space is well sized and the decor is so unique! The only problem is the bathrooms. There is a mens room on one side of the venue and a womens room on the other. I kept having to walk through other wedding parties in the hallway to get to the bathroom.
Our wedding was amazing! Jeremy was fantastic in all aspects of planning our wedding and whenever we needed help with anything, he was right there to assist.Jeremy also saved us by taking some beautiful pictures of us because our photographer did not do nearly as good as him.We chose the buffet option and the food was good. Great value. The venue is beautiful and have been there for various weddings . The main ballroom is roomy and cozy with a beautiful dance floor. We wouldnt hesitate to use this venue in the future! Thank you Marygold Manor for helping make our day more special and perfect.
Jeremy is one of the most responsive people I have ever worked with. My wife and I were married this past Friday and the Marygold Staff did everything they could to go beyond anything we could have dreamed of. Even through a pandemic Jeremy did all that he could to make our day as special as possible and anytime we had a question he was quick to answer and ensured we had an amazing time even after so many covid related changes had to occur. I have attended two other weddings prior to mine and everyone I know who has got married at Marygold loved their experience.
I have attended two weddings at Marygold Manor this summer. Both were buffet style, smashed red potatoes, breaded chicken, roast beef, baked vegetables, stuffing and wild rice. Everything was hot and tasted really great both times. The building is very nice inside (I hadn’t been there prior to this year). They’ve remodeled a front room and it looks fantastic. The bartender (who remembered me from the previous wedding) was the owner’s son and the head waitress was his wife, I did not know this was a family run business. Their daughter even ran the photo booth! The staff was very personable. I know both couples had a great time at their weddings. I would definitely recommend Marygold Manor to anyone planning a wedding.
Nice venue, great owner. Its been a family business in WNY for over 50 years. Very versatile. They have one very modern room that would be perfect for a bridal shower, baby shower, birthday, etc. with nice garage doors that open right outside. Older wedding rooms slated for updates soon. Love the table settings with lighting already hard wired in. Such a nice touch that is super rare to find and a big Time saver! Definitely a spot to consider when looking to host an event.
My husband and I got married there on Sept 2nd. I just wanted to take the time and say it was an AMAZING night. All of our guests had a wonderful time and the food was amazing! The staff was extremely helpful and nice through out the night. We could have not asked for anything better! They held off and waited for the rain to pass so we could have our ceremony outside. There is nothing we would have changed! Jeremy and his staff was so accommodating with some last minute changes and with the whole thing!!!!
We held my daughters wedding at Marygold Manor, she lives out of state and came back to Buffalo for her wedding. I was expecting a rocky road trying to coordinate this but the staff was extremely helpful through out the entire process. They handled everything including the DJ and Photographer making for a worry free event. The staff was very professional, and the food was excellent and plentiful and at a fantastic price as well. . The wedding was 3 months ago and I still get complements from guests who attended! My thanks and kudos to the Urbanski family and staff for helping to make my daughters day even more special.
Our wedding was june 27th originally may 30th... Jeremy was absolutely amazing during this covid.. Worked with us..very accommodating as well... Even tho only half of our guests came because of covid... Marygold made sure we had a night we would never forget!! We had an issue with our photogerpher we originally hired....leaving us with out one during our reception... Jeremys in-house photogerpher happened to be there...and he took our photos for the rest of the night...he was absolutely outstanding and i mean that from the bottom of my heart... He was everything and more and then some!!!! The photos captured brought tears to my eyes (happy tears) everything from the food...to the bar....i mean everything was PERFECT!!! i have not one negative thing to say...our guests STILLL talk about the food and the service.. Thank you Jeremy and staff for giving us the reception of a life time!!!!All our love,The new Mr&Mrs.Keith Ryan
I was lucky to be a bridesmaid in a wedding at Marygold Manor yesterday! The staff at Marygold went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was perfect for my friends big day. The food was great, service was excellent and all of the guests had a great time. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any couple looking for a place to host their wedding. Thank you Marygold!!
I got married in August of 2010. I loved the Patio room it was perfect for my small wedding and the fact that I could have my ceremony and reception there was great! The staff was professional and pleasant the food was good I didnt have to rent or purchase table linens or center pieces because they had all varieties for me to choose from at the manor itself along with anything else needed. We partied till we couldnt anymore! The location was great where everyone could make it. Thank You for making my planning a good experience with very little stress.
The location is convenient. Their prices are higher than expected for what is being offered. The brochures are gorgeous. With the renovations their prices do reflect their need to pay off the loan needed to update the facility. The accommodations are laughable at best. To have a scheduled meeting to view the building and the thermostat wasnt present to a minimum 67 during the winter months was in poor taste.
I was there just recently March 2018. I have never been to Marygold Manor. It was a beautiful wedding. Food was great and staff was very nice. I have been to several weddings and the food was terrible. Which I think is one of the biggest things with a wedding. I recommend Marygold. No complaints here
Had my wedding there yesterday... turned out okay but I wouldnt recommend.. they were showing my room while my wedding was going on which was disrespectful and rude. They didnt serve my cupcakes so people just had to take. They put the food away before anyone could even think about having seconds. Once the chocolate fountain food ran out they never replaced it. I wanted pink and blue lighting which they said was no problem got there and there was yellow and blue because they said they didnt have pink. Not enough hourderves... hallway was absolutely freezing.. definitely not worth the money and wish we would have chosen somewhere else.
We had a funeral luncheon there and it was a wonderful experience from the first phone call to the end of the meal. At a hectic time when a loved one dies, there are numerous tasks that require attention and the less time spent on each, the better. After calling and receiving very clear details about the offerings and options for the funeral luncheon, all that I had to do was show up after the funeral service, a total of 5 minutes to plan the event. The staff had the room ready and the food was served promptly at the agreed time. The entire facility including the dining room is elegant and provides a warm and comforting setting at a very emotional time. The food was excellent and the price extremely reasonable. People were talking about what a marvelous meal it was for days afterwords. Thank you for the outstanding experience!!!Deacon Ted Pijacki
#lgbtwedding Everyone at the wedding had a blast. It was raining so couldnt make it to our destination for formal pictures but inside decor was perfect. Left some stuff there they were nice enough to pack it up and we came back to get it. Love working with them. Everyone wants to know when we r getting remarried to go back there.
We had our reception at the Marygold on January 2, 2014 and I cant say enough about their service and their food, our guests have been facebook messaging us that they had been to many many receptions, and that ours was by far their favorite. The hall was gorgeous and all the uplighting and built in lasers really impressed our guests. Soon after our first dance, the hall just came alive with all sorts of hidden lighting effects. It was like a rock concert, Jeremy was a skilled DJ and masterful banquet manager all in one. He really knows how to set a mood. We will be recommending Marygold to all our friends and family.
I cannot praise Marygold Manor enough! I’m from Buffalo, but my husband and I live in Vegas now. I wanted to find a venue that would be stress-free, affordable and have that Buffalo feel and Marygold Manor had it all! Jeremy was beyond awesome! Quick to respond and very accommodating! He was also our Dj and he kept the dance floor packed! My family and friends had a great time at this stellar establishment! Thank you Jeremy and the rest is the Urbanski family for making our wedding perfect!
Our experience with Marigold Manor was just that an experience. Two events were going on at the same time there were 160 in our room and about the same in the room next to ours. The food was the chicken and beef plate. It was served ice cold. Chicken was dried out and the beef or what was supposed to be beef was so tuff most guests would not or could not eat it. Not to mention the skimpiest portions. The cupcakes were served and wouldnt you think you could get a fork or a napkin? The servers ignore you as if you do not exist. Now get this there was ONE restroom to service both events 300 plus people and one restroom. The line stretched from the restroom to the banquet area. The other restrooms were locked and the staff at Marigolds refused to open a second one up. I imagine there must be worse but I havent found it yet.
We have to say some of the worst food ever. Chicken was all dry and cold. The beef could hardly be cut with a knife yet alone chewed like eating an old tire also cold. Small portions of cold veggies and only one roll per person and no butter. The waitresses were not the politest and took our plates before we finished without asking. The bartender only fills glasses half way and are put out if you ask any question.
“Thank you for making our wedding reception so beautiful and stress free! Thanks for all your assistance and for making our wedding day so exceptional, everyone commented on how the food was fabulous and how the place was so gorgeous! it was great working with Jeremy & his father James Urbanski and his mother Mary, and your staff! Thank you all again!Madyan & Nasra
I had my wedding ceremony and the reception at the Marygold on Novemeber 10, 2012. To provide you with an honest review, I will say this....as a first time bride I was unsure of all the questions that needed to be asked from a facility. I planned my wedding in 5 months, and in that short period of time was able to plan my wedding just how I envisioned. I asked for things that were not the norm, but to me seemed lke the only way to do it. Rather than bore you with all the details.I will give you these tips, which allowed for my day to be the wedding that people will talk about for years to come.-Make sure to get a food tasting, our first choice we changed. Everyone enjoyed the food. We had a buffet style dinner.-I spent the extra money to have the ceremony in another room. It was worth every penny. Jeremy made the ceremony space look beautiful, he accomodated my requests and said, I am here to make the bride happy. And that he did!!!-Jeremy was there throughout the evening and was there to help whenever needed.-Jeremy also during the reception and ceremony had taken pictures himself and then made them into a slide show that was shown at the bar later on in the evening.I never write reviews, but I sure do read them. And I am not sure who was in charge in years past, but Jeremy was amazing, his staff was friendly and most of all very accomodating. I would and have already reccommended folks to use this as their venue. Make sure to ask for Jeremy!Thank you Jeremy again, for making one of the most important days more special!!!!
Just went to a wedding last night, by far the worst food I have ever eaten at any wedding or similar celebration and everyone there thought the same. Awful instant mashed potatoes, salad was only lettuce (after the first table ate the 2 tomatoes and orange slices that were on top were gone), chicken was like boiled dry flavorless and gross. I could go on for each item but the point is everything with exception of the rolls was just blah and not tasty at all. Not only was the food basically cafeteria food, they ran out of several things and did not attempt to replenish on their own or when asked by guests because they didnt have anymore! The last two tables didnt get salad, rolls roast beef because they ran out. How do you run out of food especially when it is buffet style? Luckily it was so bad no one wanted to go up for seconds because they werent going to get any more anyways.
My mother had both her wedding and reception at this hall, yesterday as a matter of fact. It was freezing cold outside and not much warmer inside ! When we asked about getting the heat turned up a little we were told that the heat was on and it should warm up,it didnt ! The area that they planned to have the ceremony was set up in front of the bridal partys reception table and was not big enough to allow all of the guest to view the ceremony without standing up.Then they brought the food out...there was a very large salad, chicken that was so dry that it was like eating saw dust, stuffing that had cranberrys inside of it..but it least that gave it some flavor, runny mashed potatos, very bland rice, roast beef that had no flavor at all and gravy that looked like plastic but was more like glue. There were a lot of children at this wedding and during dinner service the only drinks that were out were water, tea and coffee! Even though she paid for an open bar..and for all of that the food was out for a total of 15 minutes and then they began to clear tables and throw out all of that food without giving people the chance to eat.Ok lets be honest no one really wanted seconds but if they did they wouldnt be getting them from this place ! The hall is pretty but the service and the food isnt worth what they are charging...
Beautiful atmosphere. It was my brother Kasems wedding, on March 3rd, 2018. However, the quality of the FOOD.....WAS MOST POOR! Very BLAND, and typical! Not to insult the Caucasian Race. No spices, etc! My 4 year old Grandson Kayden, could have cooked better! Coming from a Hispanic, Arabian, Italian, AFRO AMERICAN, German and Irish HERITAGES! On June 1st 2013, My Son Efrain and my Daughter in law Latavia had their wedding reception there. Once again, beautiful atmosphere. The dance floor had a beautiful wall to wall mirror back splash. Once again, the quality of THE FOOD WAS MOST BORING.........AND BEYOND BLAND!!!!!! Therefore, all that glitters is not gold! MARYGOLD MANOR.......PLEASE FIND SOME NEW AND EXOTIC COOKS, WITH UNIQUE EXPERTISE COOKING SKILLS! My Family is NOT THE FIRST ONES TO COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR BORING BLAND FOOD! My intention is not to disrespect you, but to help you improve your services. God bless all. Good night.
Event: December 28th, 2013 WEDDING- We felt good it was a family business - treated like family yet still professionally done- Beautiful banquet room and set up- Coordinated well between bride (living out of town) and family- Accessible throughout evening yet blended in- Very accommodating with our wishes and made helpful suggestions when asked

2022-06-05Got Married 6/3/22Jeremy was SOOOO Amazing! His father married me and my wife and he was absolutely amazing. He made our day! The venue was beautiful, my whole family was amazed at how beautiful it was. Jeremy and his crew made sure everything was 100% perfect for us! The food was amazing, and cater was so kind and helpful. We didn’t have the most “traditional “ wedding, but everyone was so accommodating. I would 100% recommended having your wedding here, reasonable priced, amazing out door spot for your ceremony and beautiful rooms to choose from for your reception. Photo-booth was a MUST for us and I’m so happy we got it!! Tons of photos of all my family for the photo album! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!

2022-04-17I had shopped around at several different venues in the area to host my daughters baby shower. We knew the moment we stepped foot into Marygold Manor and was greeted by the owner Jeremy Urbanski that we found the perfect place. He escorted us to each of the various beautiful rooms to choose from and then broke down the pricing and answered all our questions. He truly made you feel at home and comfortable from beginning to end. He kept the communication open and was always available to answer any questions before, during and after the baby shower. My guests raved about how gorgeous the room “Luxembourg” was. The layout was perfect to host the baby shower. The food was on point and tasted delicious. Servers were courteous and very helpful. Overall this was an amazing venue to choose to host my daughter baby shower. I can’t thank Jeremy and his staff for assisting in making this a very memorable and beautiful day for my family.

2022-05-30Marygold was gorgeous. Jeremy and all the folks there that operate all the moving pieces that will either make, or break your wedding are completely wonderful. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. We were so blown away with the results, especially their attention to detail and genuine desire to make sure our day was perfect. It was. We had a great time, everything was beautiful, our photos are exceptional, and they make one hell of a tropical cocktail 🍹Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, well never forget our wedding!!Sara and chooch

2021-04-18We booked Marygold Manor for our up coming wedding in the spring of 2022. We chose the Kensington room because we liked the rustic theme. They have a great package called the Encore, that includes everything for one price. Perfect for us and our budget. The other thing that makes Marygold Manor stand out, is they are a family owned business. They earned a great reputation over the years. Jeremy the manager, is friendly and easy to talk too about your specific details that you want to create your dream wedding. Were very excited and cant wait till our big day, knowing it will be all that we wanted.

2019-12-17We love Marygold Manor! Recently had our wedding reception in the Kensington Room on October 19, 2019. The room was absolutely beautiful. We were able to come in the week of and set up our decor and favors which was great. Jeremy was there the whole time and was very flexible, as he even helped us move some tables to maximize our dancing space! The night of our reception, he was calm and very helpful, as he checked in throughout the night. The food we had was absolutely delicious and our guests could not stop complimenting the menu. Our guests with various food allergies were also easily accommodated. Jeremy, Jim and the whole staff were so easy to work with. They made the whole process from the first meeting, to packing up our decorations seamless. We cant thank them enough for helping our wedding vision come true, and we will never forget their kindness and professionalism that made our day so special!

2018-09-16Awesome experience overall quaint hall with an awesome dance floor to get your freak on and make moves on bridesmaids. Then take them home.. and yaaaaa know. Break it down. Top quality venue and experience in homely cheektowga neighborhood.
